Tonight, President Obama plans to address how he is going to increase jobs and improve the economy.

Will ending illegal immigration be in his plan?

As I write this, the national unemployment rate exceeds 10%. In some of our nation's hardest hit cities and states it has soared to 12%, 14% or even higher!

Rather than enforce our nation's immigration laws and protect American jobs for hard-working citizens who are struggling to provide for their families, the Obama administration simply looks the other way.

Where is the fairness in a system where illegal labor is seemingly permitted an advantage in the jobs marketplace when millions of Americans who are very eager to work have to struggle on the sidelines?

How is America's economy going to improve if employers can continue to knowingly evade the law against hiring illegal workers without fear of major reprisals?
That is why I am asking you today to support FAIR in the battle to reform our immigration laws and create order in a system that has wreaked havoc on our nation and our economy for decades.

But this is an issue that goes far beyond jobs. The outcome of this year's Capitol Hill battles will have a profound impact on America.

IF WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE BATTLE FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM WE MUST STAND UNITED!
That means that FAIR needs you to help us keep the pressure on our nation's leaders to enforce current laws against illegal immigration and make sure that no amnesty legislation is ever passed!

I'm sure you agree that a time of skyrocketing trillion dollar deficits, overwhelmed medical services, crowded classrooms, an unstable Social Security system, and diminishing water and energy resources, the concept of taking on 12 million or more illegal immigrants as America's newest citizens is outrageous!

That's why we need the support of you and every American who recognizes the huge price our nation will pay if the amnesty advocates get their way and Congress makes the wrong decisions on this important issue.

I am counting on your support at this pivotal and challenging time in our country's history, and I look forward to working with you to pushing reforms forward that put the interests of Americans FIRST.

Dan Stein, President
