Ga. Law To Crack Down On Illegal Workers A Joke

A Georgia law passed with great fanfare four years ago to crack down on companies that hire illegal immigrants has yet to be enforced because prosecutors can’t bring charges against violators.
The legislature enacted the measure (Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Ace) after officials discovered that a new $63 million courthouse in Cobb County—notorious for being tough on illegal immigration—was practically built by illegal workers. Tax and labor laws were violated left and right with public dollars and lawmakers boldly took action.
They quickly passed a law that’s supposed to ensure that contractors on such public projects use only legal workers by requiring them to verify employees’ status. Additionally, the state Labor Department requires contractors to sign affidavits swearing that their employees are authorized to work in the U.S.
But four years later nothing has changed. Officials in counties throughout Georgia still don’t require public contractors to follow the law and, even those that openly violate it, face no consequences. Prosecutors claim they can’t bring charges because the measure doesn’t provide penalties and the state hasn’t audited a single employer because the legislature hasn’t granted funding to do so.
In other words, it’s a worthless law that hasn’t put a dent in the illegal immigration crisis that has long gripped the Peach State. Even in Cobb County, which prides itself as a place where illegal immigration is not tolerated, undocumented workers are still working on taxpayer-funded projects despite the courthouse scandal. In fact, just last fall a bricklayer was told in Spanish that no papers were required to work on a public project and that the pay was in cash.

Clearly, you are just wishing. Here is what I read was being touted by Obama:
1) give all the illegals in the US with some sort of work record (i.e. all of them) amnesty (i.e. US
citizenship)
(REALITY CHECK. EVEN IF THE LA RAZA DEMS DON’T GET OFFICIAL AMNESTY, IT WILL STILL BE BUSINESS AS USUAL. NO E-VERIFY, NO BORDERS, NO ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS AGAINST HIRING ILLEGALS. BEEN THIS WAY SINCE THE AMNESTY OF 1986)
2) make them pay a fee
(UNLESS THEY DON’T WANT TO!)
3) make them wait a little while

4) make them learn english

Here is what WILL happen if such a bill passes:
1) The illegals, and all of their extended family members will get citizenship
(IT’S CALLED CHAIN MIGRATION. HILLARY IS FOR IT, AND SO IS REP. ZOE LOFGREN, A LA RAZA PARTY SPECIAL MEMBER.
2) The "fee" they have to pay will be a pittance.
3) The time they have to wait will be less than someone who goes through the process of legal immigration
4) The attempt to make them learn english will be struck down as unconstitutional
5) Since their past income is unverified they will lie their asses off to pay almost zero back-taxes.
In fact some make actually claim a bunch of tax credits and come out ahead!
6) The money that is earmarked to strengthen the border will be spent in a few years and will
only stem the flow slightly for those few years, then it is back to full speed.
7) The new citizens will STILL be sponging off the welfare, schools, medical system, etc. as they do now.
Net LOSS for the USA.
