The Marin County Health and Human Services Department is announcing recruitments for the positions of Eligibility Worker I/II and Eligibility Worker I/II Bilingual (Spanish/English).



Excellent opportunity available for persons in this position to learn and determine initial and continuing eligibility and administer benefits for multiple public assistance programs for the community through interactive interviewing. Duties include fact gathering and interpretation and application of laws, rules, regulations and procedures. Persons will identify client needs and make appropriate referrals for health, social and/or employment services.



Requirements: Completion of 60 semester or 90 quarter units of college; or two years of office support experience which has included public contact and basic interviewing skills; or one year of experience in determining eligibility for loans, financial assistance, unemployment, veterans' benefits or publicly or privately financed health counseling or social services programs. Eligibility Worker II requires one year of experience comparable to the Eligibility Worker I class and successful completion of the equivalent to the County of Marin's Eligibility Worker I training program. For Bilingual (Spanish/English) positions a separate application is required.





A separate application is required for bilingual positions with demonstrated oral and written proficiency in Spanish/English.
