Illegal Aliens Grab Billions in Tax Credits!
Tax season is right around the
corner and you've probably already received your W2. You've been paying taxes
throughout 2011 to keep our country running, because you're a responsible
American who takes pride in doing your part. Now it's time to file and maybe get
a refund! What if I told you there are millions of illegal aliens guaranteed
a tax refund and cash-back tax credits meant for legal workers?
Illegal aliens
grabbed $4.2 billion in refundable tax credits in 2010. Help us ensure that only US citizens and legal immigrants have
access to these funds!
In 2010, you
paid your taxes and got tax credits where they were due. But did you know that
the IRS paid illegal aliens $4.2 billion in refundable tax
credits?! This handout happened through the "Additional Child Tax
Credit" (ACTC), a program designed for lower and middle income families,
especially single mothers. A gaping loophole in the program allows illegal
aliens to receive this credit when they file taxes. Believe it or not, there
isn't even a process to check if these illegal aliens' children (for whom the
credit was designed) are even American citizens!
The IRS knows about the
loophole: "The payment of Federal funds through this tax benefit appears to
provide an additional incentive for aliens to enter, reside, and work in the
United States without authorization, which contradicts Federal law and policy to
remove such incentives." Yet have they done anything to stop billions of
American tax dollars going to illegal aliens? Apparently, without our pressure,
they just don’t care.
We need your help to close this
costly loophole by requiring all recipients of the ACTC to have a valid social
security number. We worked with our friends in Congress to craft a bill that
will narrow who can receive this tax credit to valid social security holding
Americans.
According to the Associated
Press, during negotiations on the bill this week, at the urging of amnesty
special interest groups (including the ACLU and National Council of La Raza)
legislators stripped the key provision of requiring social security
numbers!
We are working feverishly to
get this requirement returned and passed before it's too late for this tax
season. We're doing our part; now we need you to do yours. You're help is
essential to generate support for this commonsense provision!
If you agree that ACTC
should only be available to eligible American workers, I urge you to stand with
us! Your $25, $50, or $100 tax-deductible contribution to FAIR
will help us save the American taxpayer billions this year alone!
As you prepare to file your
2011 taxes, think about where your hard-earned money is going. Unless you help,
it’s just going to get worse!
Sincerely,
Dan Stein
