A public
elementary school in Southern California is run by an America-bashing Chicano
who claims the “white, American way will lead to destruction” and has a
curriculum devised by a radical Mexican group that strives to return the
American southwest to Mexico.
Funded by American taxpayers and
supported by extremist Mexican groups like the National Council of La Raza and
Mecha, the school – Academia
Semillas del Pueblo – was charted by the Los Angeles Unified School
District in 2001. In lieu of an American flag, the school flies a communist flag
and teaches children the ancient Nahutal language of the Aztecs.
The school’s
principal and founder, a Calexico educated Chicano named Marcos Aguilar, opposes racial integration and
says Mexicans in the U.S. don’t want to go to white schools or drink from white
water fountains. He blasts the landmark school desegregation decision in
Brown v. Board of Education and claims that segregation and civil rights in the
U.S. are all about white supremacy.
This is
consistent with the preaching of Mecha, which stands for Movimiento Estudiantil
Chicano de Aztlan. The militant group was founded at the University of
California, Santa Barbara in 1969 with the goal of returning the American
Southwest to Mexico because in Chicano folklore California, Arizona, Nevada,
New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas are in fact Aztlan.
Private
schools may be allowed to teach such curriculums and refuse to wave American
flags, but this is outrageous in an institution funded by U.S. taxpayer
dollars. One Los Angeles political blog says the school is training ground for young Che Guevaras.
The
California Conservative calls Academia Semillas an anti-American
public school that cripples Mexican children with primitive anti-American
dogma.

Although the nation’s largest Latino advocacy organization
is a nonprofit that must remain nonpartisan because it gets millions of U.S.
federal grant dollars, the group’s president helped lead a Barack Obama pep
rally over the weekend during an annual conference in a California city close
to the Mexican border.
The
extremist Mexican group National Council of La Raza clearly endorses Barack
Obama, which is why La Raza President Janet Murguia stood by as Los Angeles’
renowned Chicano mayor (Antonio Villaraigosa) praised the Illinois senator
during the group’s annual convention in San Diego. A former Hillary Clinton
campaign chairman, Villaraigosa assured the crowd of thousands that Obama is Latinos’ best hope for reforming the nation’s
federal immigration policies.
Villaraigosa took the opportunity to further pump up Obama,
telling the crowd at the so-called nonpartisan convention that 12 million
illegal immigrants can be brought "out of the shadows and into the light
and onto the tax rolls by electing Barack Obama." (EXCEPT
THERE ARE 12 MILLION LA RAZA ILLEGALS IN SOUTHERN CA ALONE. TRUE ESTIMATES OF
THE NUMBER OF MEXICAN LOOTERS IN OUR BORDERS IS CLOSER TO 40 MILLION AND
BREEDING LIKE BUNNIES).
If that’s not an endorsement, then what is? The Obama pep
rally is sure to continue through the end of the La Raza convention sometime
today. Such political endorsements are prohibited by nonprofits in the United
States, especially the ones that benefit from millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars
like this group.
As
it is, Americans should be outraged that their tax dollars are going to an
extremist Mexican group that advocates open borders and organized many of the
country’s disruptive pro illegal immigration marches last year. The National
Council of La Raza caters to the radical Chicano movement that says California,
Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas belong to Aztlan.
The takeover plan is referred to as the
"reconquista" of the Western U.S. and it features ethnic cleansing of
Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians once the area is taken back and
converted to Aztlan. While this may all sound a bit
crazy, this organization is quite powerful and its leaders regularly attend
congressional hearings regarding immigration.
A few months ago the group got a $15
million federal earmark to counsel Hispanics about
housing in addition to $1.3 million from the Department of Housing and Urban
Development to conduct “comprehensive” housing counseling for Hispanics,
whether they are in the country legally or not. La Raza also uses U.S. tax dollars to fund projects like a Southern
California elementary school with a curriculum that specializes in bashing
America and promoting the Chicano movement.

The leader of the Azusa 13 street gang and his son were sentenced in federal court Monday to lengthy prison terms after pleading guilty to conspiring to attack blacks and force them to leave the city.
Santiago "Chico" Rios was sentenced to 19 years and seven months in prison by U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess. His son, Louie "Lil Chico" Rios, who is hearing-impaired and required a sign-language interpreter, received a 10-year sentence.
Both Rioses have "Azusa" tattooed above their upper lips. Louie Rios has "Azusa gang member" tattooed on the back of his head.At sentencing, Feess said Santiago Rios was a "proponent of the racial cleansing of the city of Azusa" and an admitted participant in "every significant aspect of the gang's activities."
The Rioses and 49 other Azusa gang members were arrested in June 2011 and charged with, among other things, a conspiracy to "cleanse" Azusa of its black residents, according to prosecutors.
All 51 have been convicted. Eight remain to be sentenced, said Reema El-Amamy, the federal prosecutor in the case.
Santiago Rios was a reputed Azusa 13 "keyholder" -- a shotcaller anointed by the Mexican Mafia prison gang to tax drug dealers, sell drugs and funnel the proceeds to Mafia members, according to a federal plea agreement.
In that position, he implemented an Azusa 13 policy dating from 1992 of targeting and harassing black people in Azusa, according to the agreement. The push to attack blacks was allegedly instigated by Ruben Rodriguez, a Mexican Mafia member from Azusa who has since died.
The gang would assault blacks they spotted in public places and spray racist graffiti. Some gang recruits were asked to attack blacks as a way of proving their worth to Azusa 13, according to the plea agreement.
The Azusa 13 case highlighted how incarcerated Mexican Mafia leaders can create havoc among street gang members they have never met but who obey their orders. Similar cases of the Mexican Mafia influencing Latino gang attacks on blacks have occurred in Hawaiian Gardens, San Bernardino, the Florence-Firestone District, Pacoima, Harbor Gateway, Glassell Park and Highland Park.
When several gang members were released on parole in 1999 and 2000, normally quiet Azusa saw its hate-crimes rate skyrocket over the next three years, as gang members attacked black residents.
In one case, a 49-year-old woman was shot and wounded outside her apartment as she was saying goodnight to a friend. A gang member later testified that a group of Azusa 13 members had shot her after going "hunting" for blacks and finding no men to shoot.
The city formed a hate-crimes task force, then a Human Relations Commission. It began an annual "Hands Across Azusa" multicultural celebration on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. The celebration takes place at 1 p.m. Sunday . in front of City Hall.
In an undercover operation, the Azusa Police Department set up a storefront called A Peace of Africa, stocked with goods from Africa, hoping to entice the gang into committing a hate crime. Black undercover officers staffed the store and police staked it out around the clock, but lack of funding forced the department to close the store before any crimes were committed.
Azusa police arrested several of the recent parolees, who are now serving lengthy prison sentences. Federal prosecutors then mounted a broader case against the gang that culminated in the 2011 arrests.
Since then, police have reported no hate crimes connected to the gang.
