(CNSNews.com) -- Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was critical of so-called trickle down economics, saying that it “cut the heart out of America’s middle class” at an event at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
event hosted by The Roosevelt Institute, a non-profit organization
that is designed to “carry forward the legacy and values of Franklin
and Eleanor Roosevelt,” which released a new report, “Rewriting
the Rules of the American Economy” at the event.
The report claims “that current economic rules, embraced for more
than 35 years, are grounded in false assumptions” and the rules
“must be fundamentally rewritten to address economic inequality.”
The report was written by Joseph E. Stiglitz, the Chief Economist at
the Roosevelt Institute.
