Alaskan man thought his house was being broken into when he heard a scrabbling at his door - only to come face to face with seven adorable lynx kittens and their mom

  • Tim Newton was at first nervous when he was woken up by scratching noises at his front door
  • He lives in Alaska so he thought his home might be broken into, or that it was a bear or other dangerous animal
  • But when he looked out the window he was pleased to see lynx kittens adn their mother playing on the porch
A photographer in Alaska woke up to strange noises at his door and worried his home was being broken into, only to find seven cute lynx kittens and their mother playing on his front porch.
Tim Newton came across the lynx family when he heard scratching at his door.
Initially he was worried that someone was attempting to break in, but because he lives in Alaska he said he also realized the intruder might be a dangerous animal - such as a bear.

After unsuccessfully attempting to figure out what the noise might be from afar, he gathered the courage to creep over to the front door and peek out the window.
There he saw four adorably lynx kittens playing on the front porch.
And a few minutes later, the playful lynxes were joined by three more kittens and their mother.
'It was right near dawn. I heard some noises; it was like something scrambling on the deck,' Newton said to The Dodo.
'Coming out of my slumber, I thought "What the heck is that?" So I put on my bathrobe and slowly eased back the curtain.
'And right there, two feet away, was a lynx kitten. He was sitting there watching his siblings race by.'
After a few minutes of playtime on his front porch, the kittens were joined by the rest of their family
