Building a massive detention facility at the border to hold illegal aliens until their court cases has been proven to stop them from even trying to break into the U.S., the president of the border agents' union told CNSNews.com in an exclusive interview.
Brandon Judd, who heads the National Border Patrol Council, says he's certain that building a massive holding facility at the border would stop illegal immigration - because it's a "tried and proven technique" he's seen work in the past when a "mass of Brazilians" were storming the U.S. southwest border:
CNSNews.com: “Do you think it would help to create some type of massive holding facility at the border to simply hold those claiming credible fear until they can be vetted and adjudicated since so many of them end up getting released into the united states and never show up for court?”
Brandon Judd: “I know it would. And, the reason why I say I know it would is because it’s already been a tried and proven technique.
“Back in the early 2,000s, late 90’s, early 2,000’s, early in my career, we saw a mass of Brazilians that were coming across the border and we were doing the exact same thing, catch and release, which then just encouraged a lot more.
“Once we started holding the Brazilians, it just completely and totally dried up – they didn’t cross anymore.
“And, so, what we see is, when we actually hold people pending their court cases, they just don’t come across the border, anymore.”
The reason the illegal aliens stopped coming is that they knew they didn't legitimately qualify for asylum and, thus, wouldn't be released, Judd explained:
“What it was, was that people were scared to cross the border, because they thought that they would be held, they thought they would have to go through their court proceeding, they didn’t think that they would be released.
“But, once they found out that they would be released, we’re now right back up to – in March, we arrested 37,000 illegal border-crossers. That’s more than either March in 2015 or 2016. And, it’s approaching in 2014, which was considered a crisis.”

Reports: ‘Caravan Migrants’ Waiting to Cross Mexico-California Border

Several reports indicate that the fragments of the “migrant caravan” are now arriving south of the U.S. border with Mexico. Border Patrol officials in California and Arizona said they have not seen any illegal border crossings between ports of entry this week.

Over the weekend, about 600 migrants arrived via train in the northern Mexican city of Hermosillo, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday. The group plans to continue to Tijuana in the next few days.
Late last week, about 50 migrants from Central America arrived in Tijuana, Reuters reported. “Since peaking at around 1,500 people, the so-called migrant ‘caravan’ has dwindled under pressure from Trump and Mexican migration authorities, who vowed to separate those migrants with a right to stay in Mexico from those who did not,” Reuters states. Juventud 2000 director Jose Maria Garcia told the wire service that some crossed the border and requested asylum. He said more are expected in Tijuana in the coming days.
Border Patrol officials in the San Diego, Yuma, and Tucson Sectors told Breitbart Texas on Tuesday they have seen no illegal crossings in recent days by anyone from the “caravan.” El Centro Sector has not yet responded to an inquiry.
On April 11, Breitbart Texas reported that an MS-13 member joined up with a “caravan” splinter and crossed the border in the Yuma Sector.
“We questioned the members of the group and confirmed they are part of the caravan of Central American’s who are reported to be traveling to the U.S.,” Border Patrol spokesman Justin Kallinger told Breitbart Texas.
Kallinger said the MS-13 member did not claim to have started out with the original “caravan” but joined in a stash house in Mexico before crossing.
Officials identified the Salvadoran as 18-year-old Herberth Geovani Argueta-Chavez. He was “trying to separate from the gang,” Border Patrol officials stated.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officials have not responded to an inquiry as to whether they received any asylum requests from “caravan migrants” crossing from Tijuana in recent days.
President Donald Trump called on Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to not let the asylum seekers into the U.S.

Despite the Democrat inspired laws on Sanctuary Cities and the Border being so bad and one sided, I have instructed the Secretary of Homeland Security not to let these large Caravans of people into our Country. It is a disgrace. We are the only Country in the World so naive! WALL

The president then tweeted a message to Mexican officials urging them to stop people from navigating freely through their country to the U.S. He threatened to make this a condition of a new NAFTA agreement.

Mexico, whose laws on immigration are very tough, must stop people from going through Mexico and into the U.S. We may make this a condition of the new NAFTA Agreement. Our Country cannot accept what is happening! Also, we must get Wall funding fast.

DHS Secretary Kirstjen M. Nielsen said her department would “fast track any caravan asylum cases”:
DHS continues to monitor the remnants of the ‘caravan’ of individuals headed to our Southern border with the apparent intention of entering the United States illegally. A sovereign nation that cannot – or worse, chooses not – to defend its borders will soon cease to be a sovereign nation. The Trump Administration is committed to enforcing our immigration laws – whether persons are part of this ‘caravan’ or not.
If members of the ‘caravan’ enter the country illegally, they will be referred for prosecution for illegal entry in accordance with existing law. For those seeking asylum, all individuals may be detained while their claims are adjudicated efficiently and expeditiously, and those found not to have a claim will be promptly removed from the United States.
This year’s caravan grew to much larger numbers than previous years, VOA News reported. The current group reached about 1,200 participants–an increase of about 1,000 over last year.
In response to the caravan and recent spikes in illegal border crossings into the U.S., President Trump ordered the deployment of up to 4,o00 National Guard troops to help secure the border.
The governors of TexasNew MexicoArizona, and California all responded by activating troops in their respective states.

Three More Border Patrol Agents Assaulted in South Texas

Illegal immigrants attempting to avoid capture assaulted three more Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents over the weekend. One of the incidents involved alleged drug smugglers.

Border Patrol agents responded to a tip that a group of men were smuggling large bundles across the Rio Grande River border with Mexico near the town of Roma, Texas, on Sunday. When the agents arrived, the smugglers abandoned their cargo and attempted to flee back to Mexico, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
One of the agents intercepted a fleeing smuggler, officials stated. The smuggler began to fight the agent. He allegedly pushed and scratched the agent in an attempt to avoid arrest. A second agent assisted the struggling colleague and the two agents took the man into custody.
A records check on the man revealed he has previous arrests on drug charges. He also has a history of two deportations.
The other smugglers escaped, but not before the agents were able to seize the bundles, weighing a total of 150 pounds. Officials estimated the value at $120,000.
Agents working near Rio Grande City came upon a man who crossed the border. As the agent attempted to arrest him, he became combative and struck the agent in the chest. The agent subdued the man an placed him under arrest. A background investigation revealed the man to be a Mexican national.
On Friday, an agent assigned to the Rio Grande City station came upon an illegal immigrant who attempted to enter the U.S. near Roma, officials said. As the agent attempted to take the man into custody, the illegal immigrant threw a handful of dirt in the agent’s face. After regaining his vision, the agent place the man under arrest. Agents then learned the illegal immigrant is from Honduras.
These assaults come on the heals of four others in the same sector, Breitbart Texas reported. The attacks all occurred during a one-week period.
More than 300 Border Patrol agents were assaulted in the first six months of Fiscal Year 2018, officials reported. This compares to 462 during the same period in FY 2017.

Three Mexican Film Students Were Murdered and Dissolved in Acid

Outrage and disbelief is spreading throughout Mexico after authorities in Jalisco announced that three film students reported missing were killed and dissolved in acid. The suspects are members of Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).

In a news conference, members of Jalisco’s Attorney General’s Office announced that they arrested two of eight cartel members in connection to the murder of film students Javier Salomon Aceves Gastelum (25), Jesús Daniel Díaz García (20), and Marco Francisco García Ávalos (20). While the students are not linked to any cartels, they were filming for an school assignment at a cabin believed to be owned by a cartel member. The cabin is owned by the aunt of one of the students; the woman is believed to be linked to a local cartel that is at odds with CJNG.

According to Lizette Torres, the head of investigations for the Jalisco Attorney General’s Office, the three film students were kidnapped on March 19 while filming a school assignment in Tonalá. The students were tortured, murdered, and dissolved in an acid. Investigators recovered what they believe to be are the remains and are carrying out forensic testing to confirm their initial findings.
Investigators revealed they had carried out 400 interviews and raided 15 cabins where they seized six vehicles and 15 weapons. Authorities found 45 vats filled with sulfuric acid and human remains that they believe belong to as many as 20 different victims.

Mexico murder rate soars with 7,667 killed in 3 months

Mexico City (AFP) – Some 7,667 people were killed in Mexico in the first quarter of 2018, up 20 percent on the same period last year, making it the most violent year in two decades, government figures showed Sunday.
In 2017, the figure stood at 6,406 violent deaths, according to the Mexican security services.
The worst month was March, when 2,729 people were killed, most of them shot dead. January’s figure stood at 2,549 murders, with another 2,389 in February.
The bloodshed follows a proliferation of gangs involved in drug trafficking, as well as stealing fuel, kidnappings, extortion and other criminal activities.
In 2017, a total of 25,339 people were killed in Mexico, the highest number since monitoring began 10 years earlier.
The violence comes as Mexico gears up for a July 1 ballot that will include presidential elections as well as a vote for the two branches of Congress and a number of local seats

WHO WILL RID US OF THE INVADERS?

11 Killed in Tijuana in 24 hours — 650 Murdered in 2018

Cartel violence in Tijuana continues with no end in sight as 11 killings were registered in a 24-hour period earlier this week. The deaths brought the number of homicides to 650 in 2018, according to government statistics as reported by local media. Authorities reported more than 100 homicides during the month of April.

Breitbart Texas previously reported that according to the attorney general’s office of Baja California, most homicides are going unsolved. This has contributed substantially to the current drug cartel violence. Of 132 registered homicides to start 2018, only five resulted in arrests with a total of 11 suspects detained.
This week’s violence began during the early morning hours of Monday, April 16 in the colonia Reforma neighborhood, local news outlets reported. Officials discovered the decapitated corpse of an unknown male, 30-35 years of age.
Later that day, at 11 am, police located the body of a 40-45-year male with gunshot wounds in the Hacienda Las Delicias Tercera Sección. At around 2 pm, in colonia El Lago neighborhood, officials located the body of a 41-year-old female who sustained numerous knife-type stab wounds.
Several hours later, a 25-30-year-old male died after being shot in a vacant lot in colonia Los Venados neighborhood. Shortly thereafter, officials discovered the decomposing corpse of an unidentified female in the colonia San Ángel neighborhood. Several minutes later, police found the body of a 35-year-old male in the colonia García neighborhood with gunshot wounds.
While investigators were at the earlier colonia García location, officers located the bullet-ridden body of a 40-year-old male inside a residence in the colonia Planicie neighborhood.
At approximately 10 pm in the colonia Cumbres de Juárez neighborhood, officials found the body of a 57-year-old male who also died from gunshot wounds.
At 1 a.m. on the morning of April 17, police found the body of a 35-40-year-old male who had been killed by gunfire near la Zona Centro.
And finally, at 7 am, law enforcement officials located the bodies of an unidentified male and female in the la colonia División del Norte — both died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The city of Tijuana sits on the U.S. border with California, approximately 17 miles south of San Diego. The cartel violence in the city has been attributed to a resurgence of remnants from the Cártel de Los Arellano Félix, which is now operating under the name of Cártel Tijuana Nueva Generación (CTNG). The group aligns itself with El Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación.
These two criminal groups are engaged in a turf dispute with the Sinaloa Cartel. In some areas, rival factions within the Sinaloa Cartel are fighting for control of the lucrative street-level markets and valuable routes leading into the United States. Those involved in the killings are primarily low-level street dealers, lookouts, customers and enforcers for these individual criminal gangs. Many of these street-level dealers are targets of rip-crews looking for cash and drugs.

Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens. Granted, those statistics are old, but if you talk to any California law enforcement officer, they will tell you it’s much worse today.
