ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel took the stage on Tuesday and jokingly suggested that his “compromise” to the battle of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination is to chop off the judge’s “pesky penis,” should he be confirmed.

Kimmel launched into the Kavanaugh rancor midway through his monologue, noting a New Yorker article published over the weekend in which Deborah Ramirez alleged that as a drunken Yale University freshman, Brett Kavanaugh “exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party.” Ramirez claimed she had “significant gaps in her memories” regarding the alleged encounter. Ramirez’s college best friend also told the paper she “never heard of” the incident in question.
Jimmy Kimmel cut to a clip of Judge Kavanaugh and his wife’s Fox News interview on Monday, in which the Supreme Court nominee called allegations from Christine Blasey Ford false and explained that he was a virgin in high school and college.
“Thank you for admitting that,” Kimmel said in response to the Kavanaugh clip. “He was a virgin until many years after. So if he doesn’t get to be on the Supreme Court, maybe he’ll be The Bachelor.”
Kavanaugh has reportedly produced calendars from 1982, which purportedly prove he was out of town during the time in which Ford says he attempted to grope her at a house party.
“What 17-year-old keeps calendars of his social engagements?” Kimmel asked. “No wonder he was a virgin.”
Kimmel concluded his Kavanaugh monologue with a gruesome suggestion.
“Hear me out on this,” Kimmel began “So Kavanaugh gets confirmed to the Supreme Court, OK? Well, in return we get to cut that pesky penis of his off in front of everyone.”

Judge Kavanaugh and Sexual McCarthyism

One fully expects in each news cycle to hear some Democratic presidential wannabe, pundit, or drive-by journalist step forward and proclaim in the manner of the late Sen. Joe McCarthy: "I have in my hand a list of women whom nominee X molested, assaulted, fondled, and exposed himself to that disqualifies him for the position he seeks."  Never mind that the charges will be vague, uncorroborated, even contradicted by alleged witnesses, and deal with events at an unknown date, time, and place.  The charges have been made and must be investigated.
McCarthy was looking for communists in the State Department and other places in government, and while some did exist, just as predators preying on young women do exist, so does character assassination in the name of pursuing a political agenda.
Now we have Ronan Farrow in The New Yorker reporting on another vague, uncorroborated, and contradictory charge against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, this time by a Yale classmate, Deborah Ramirez, alleging that Kavanaugh exposed himself at another one of those drunken parties we are told he was so fond of attending.  Yet again, we have a questionable account
The allegation was conveyed to Democratic senators by a civil-rights lawyer.  For Ramirez, the sudden attention has been unwelcome, and prompted difficult choices.  She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident[.] ...
In a statement, two of those male classmates who Ramirez alleged were involved in the incident, the wife of a third male student she said was involved, and three other classmates, Dino Ewing, Louisa Garry, and Dan Murphy, disputed Ramirez's account of events: "We were the people closest to Brett Kavanaugh during his first year at Yale.  He was a roommate to some of us, and we spent a great deal of time with him, including in the dorm where this incident allegedly took place.  Some of us were also friends with Debbie Ramirez during and after her time at Yale.  We can say with confidence that if the incident Debbie alleges ever occurred, we would have seen or heard about it – and we did not.  The behavior she describes would be completely out of character for Brett.  In addition, some of us knew Debbie long after Yale, and she never described this incident until Brett's Supreme Court nomination was pending.  Editors from the New Yorker contacted some of us because we are the people who would know the truth, and we told them that we never saw or heard about this."
The New York Times, no friend to Trump or Kavanaugh, could not corroborate Ramirez's story:
The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge.  Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.
Have you no shame, senators?  Particularly shameful, and someone who deserves censure for sitting on the letter of the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, the full text of which is still being withheld, since July, is Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who had Judge Kavanaugh sitting in front of her in a public hearing, in a private session, and talked with Kavanaugh on the phone and said nothing, not even to ask Kavanaugh when he stopped beating his wife.
This is not about the truth of these allegations.  This is about power, and the threat that President Trump will restore our courts to their originalist interpreting of the Constitution by appointing judges who believe that that sacred document should be interpreted by what those who wrote it meant in the context of their times.
Somewhere, Saul Alinsky, author of the progressive guidebook, Rules for Radicals, is smiling.  His goal was to destroy America's institutions through demonization of their occupants and the corruption of their functions.  Judge Kavanaugh must be destroyed, lest he and others like him prevent the progressives from using the courts to legislate what they can't get through Congress.  Judge Kavanaugh must be demonized in the Alinsky model.  If Donald Trump's election has done anything, it has exposed the depth and stench of the swamp, pulled back the curtain, and forced us to pay attention to the anarchists running the show behind it.
One remembers back when President Trump picked Kavanaugh from his list of 25 qualified nominees.  Kavanaugh's name apparently was not high on the radar of progressives, who had their prefabricated press releases and protest signs ready, with only a name to be filled in:
It was a wild night outside the Supreme Court Monday, as a [sic] leftist demonstrators, organized by NARAL, scrambled to find the most appropriate sign to protest President Donald Trump's nominee to replace outgoing Justice Anthony Kennedy[.] ...
Under the clear assumption that any nominee would be, by definition, an affront to their "human rights," demonstrators carried fill-in-the-blank signs and fistfuls of markers, so that they could make appropriate placards on the spot.
As soon as Brett Kavanaugh's name was officially announced, they set to work[.] ...
Some organizations flush with cash, like NARAL, came prepared with several different signs, one for each possible nominee.
Press releases were ready to denounce "fill in the blank's" participation in the "war on women" and assault on so-called abortion rights:
But no protest was more embarrassing than an email blast sent by the liberal group known as "Women's March."
Minutes after Trump announced his nominee, the group released a statement blasting Kavanaugh.  However, there was a major problem with the email copy: the opening line didn't cite Kavanaugh's name.  Instead, the first sentence had "XX" where Kavanaugh's name should have been, an obvious sign the email was pre-written and that the group planned to oppose the nominee regardless of who it was.
Unfortunately, missing Kavanaugh's name was not the only glaring mistake in the email.  In a subsequent paragraph, the organization misspelled Kavanaugh's name with a "C."
"Trump's announcement today is a death sentence for thousands of women in the United States.  Judge Brett Cavanaugh's nomination threatens to move our nation's highest court dangerously to the right and further erode protections for almost every marginalized group in America," the email read.
One wonders if other names on Trump's list of possible appointees have been used to look for other potential Democrat-linked character assassins with an ideological ax to grind that might be used to slander other nominees.  Even creepy porn lawyer and legal counsel to porn star Stormy Daniels Michael Avenatti has risen from his part of the swamp to slime Kavanaugh:
Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti claims he is now representing a woman with "credible information regarding Judge [Brett] Kavanaugh and Mark Judge." ...
"We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify," he tweeted Sunday night.  "The nomination must be withdrawn."
Of course it must.  That is the goal and purpose of this serial defamation.  And if Kavanaugh's nomination is withdrawn, the sexual McCarthyism of the left will continue, with the next target being "fill in the blank."  As I have previously noted, these charges are reminiscent of the campaign of smear and innuendo leveled at former GOP presidential candidate and successful black American conservative businessman Herman Cain.  Cain's candidacy derailed after repeated and unproven  sexual harassment allegations by former employees.  Like Harry Reid's tax lies about Mitt Romney, the strategy worked.
Liberal accusations against Republicans are accepted as credible immediately.  Smear first, prove later.  Guilty until proven innocent.  To various extents, it worked with Romney and Cain; why not Judge Brett Kavanaugh?

The Latest: Prosecutor wants 5 to 10 years for Cosby

Bill Cosby

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — The Latest on Bill Cosby’s sentencing hearing (all times local):
4:10 p.m.
Prosecutors are asking a judge to sentence Bill Cosby to five to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said in court Monday that the 81-year-old comedian is still capable of slipping women drugs and assaulting them. He says the sentence should send the message to others that “nobody’s above the law.”
Steele quoted from chief accuser Andrea Constand’s victim-impact statement, which said the attack had crushed her spirit.
Cosby’s lawyers are trying to keep him out of prison, calling it an “excessive hardship.”
Court has adjourned for the day. The judge is expected to sentence Cosby on Tuesday. He could get up to 30 years in prison.
___
3:45 p.m.
Bill Cosby’s lawyer says the 81-year-old comedian is a poor candidate for prison because he’s old, legally blind and dependent on others.
Defense lawyer Joseph Green argued at Cosby’s sentencing hearing Monday that Cosby would be at risk behind bars. He called prison an “excessive hardship.”
Green suggested an alternative punishment program would be more appropriate.
Court has adjourned for the day. A judge is expected to sentence Cosby on Tuesday.
Cosby’s lawyer says a psychologist set to testify Tuesday will be the only defense witness at the comedian’s sentencing.
Cosby could get up to 30 years in prison for drugging and molesting a woman in 2004, though sentencing guidelines suggest a range of one to four years is more likely.

The woman Bill Cosby was convicted of drugging and molesting says she wants “justice as the court sees fit.”
Andrea Constand testified Monday at Cosby’s sentencing hearing outside Philadelphia. She was on the witness stand for just two minutes but submitted a much lengthier victim-impact statement that wasn’t read in court.
Cosby was convicted of knocking Constand out with pills and violating her at his suburban mansion in 2004.
Her parents and sister told Judge Steven O’Neill on Monday that the assault had taken an immense emotional toll.
Constand’s mother, Gianna, says Cosby had “protected himself at the cost of ruining many lives.”
Cosby’s lawyer says a psychologist set to testify Tuesday will be the only defense witness at the comedian’s sentencing.
Cosby faces the possibility of years in prison.

Bill Cosby’s spokesman insists the 81-year-old comedian is “still America’s Dad” despite his conviction on sexual assault charges.
Andrew Wyatt spoke to reporters as he walked into a suburban Philadelphia courthouse Monday afternoon. Cosby’s in court to be sentenced for drugging and molesting a woman at his home in 2004.
Wyatt says Cosby’s team is telling him to “stay strong and stay focused.” He said Cosby’s in “great spirits.”
Cosby became known as America’s Dad for his role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on the top-rated “Cosby Show.” Wyatt says “they won’t ever take that away. You can’t take away the legacy.”
Some 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault, but only one case went to trial. Cosby was convicted in April and faces years in prison.

None of the other accusers who testified at Bill Cosby’s sexual assault retrial will take the stand at his sentencing hearing.
Cosby was convicted of sexually assaulting a Temple University women’s basketball administrator in 2004. Five other women who say Cosby molested them also testified at the April retrial.
Prosecutors had hoped to have some of the other accusers address the court at sentencing to paint Cosby as a serial sexual predator deserving of prison. But the district attorney’s office told The Associated Press on Monday they would not be taking the stand.
It’s unclear whether chief accuser Andrea Constand will testify.
The 81-year-old comedian faces years in prison for drugging and assaulting Constand in his suburban Philadelphia home.

A Pennsylvania state board psychologist says evidence shows Bill Cosby has an uncontrollable urge to violate young women and would likely reoffend if given the chance.
Kristen Dudley testified Monday at a hearing to determine whether Cosby should be classified as a “sexually violent predator” under a state law, which would mandate community notification of his whereabouts and lifetime counseling.
The 81-year-old comedian was convicted of drugging and molesting a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. He’s scheduled to be sentenced at the conclusion of this week’s hearing.
Dudley says the assault fits a long pattern of predatory behavior by the former “Cosby Show” star. Dudley says Cosby declined to meet with her, but she made her determination after reviewing police reports and trial transcripts.
Cosby’s lawyers argue the law is unconstitutional.

A judge is weighing whether to hold a hearing to determine if Bill Cosby is a sexually violent predator.
Cosby is in a suburban Philadelphia courtroom Monday for the start of his sentencing hearing. He was convicted in April of drugging and molesting a woman in 2004.
A state board has recommended that Cosby be classified a sexually violent predator, which would mandate community notification of his whereabouts and lifetime counseling. His lawyers are arguing the law is punitive and unconstitutional.
Judge Steven O’Neill is considering whether to hold a hearing on the matter.

9:05 a.m.
Bill Cosby’s chief accuser has arrived at a courthouse outside Philadelphia for a sentencing hearing for the 81-year-old entertainer convicted of sexually assaulting her.
Former Temple University women’s basketball administrator Andrea Constand testified that Cosby knocked her out with pills, then molested her during an encounter at his home in 2004. A jury convicted Cosby of three felony counts. He faces up to 30 years in prison, though state guidelines suggest a sentence of one to four years.
Constand tweeted a Bible verse earlier Monday.
Some 60 women accuse the former “Cosby Show” star of sexual assault, though Constand’s case is the only one that went to trial.
___
8:25 a.m.
Bill Cosby has arrived at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse for the start of a hearing that will determine the punishment for the 81-year-old comedian convicted of sexual assault.
Cosby, the first celebrity to go to trial in the #MeToo era, was convicted of drugging and molesting a Temple University women’s basketball administrator at his home in 2004. He faces a sentence of probation up to 30 years in prison. State guidelines suggest a one- to four-year sentence.
The two-day sentencing hearing will begin with testimony about Cosby’s sex offender evaluation and whether he should be deemed a sexually violent predator. That would make him subject to lifetime counseling and community notification.
The former “Cosby Show” star was convicted in April following a retrial.
___
6:15 a.m.
The woman Bill Cosby is convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting has tweeted a Bible verse about letting go of anger.
Andrea Constand tweeted Ephesians 4:26 early Monday, hours before Cosby’s sentencing hearing was to get underway. He could be sentenced to as many as 30 years in prison.
Her tweet was: “Be wrathful, but do not sin; do not let the sun set while you are still angry; do not give the Devil an opportunity.”
Cosby could be the first celebrity of the #MeToo era to go to prison after being convicted in April of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
Prosecutors hope to call some of his other accusers to paint Cosby as a sexual predator deserving of prison.
___

Bill Cosby is facing the start of a sentencing hearing at which a judge will decide how to punish the 81-year-old trailblazing comedian who preyed on at least one young woman and perhaps many more.
Cosby was the first celebrity to go to trial in the #MeToo era and could be the first to go to prison after being convicted in April of drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University athletics employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
At the end of the two-day hearing starting Monday, Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O’Neill could sentence Cosby to as many as 30 years in prison or send him home on probation.
The state guidelines for someone like Cosby, with no prior convictions, call for about one to four years behind bars.

Judge Declares Bill Cosby a ‘Sexually Violent Predator’

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A judge declared Bill Cosby a “sexually violent predator” on Tuesday as he prepared to sentence the 81-year-old comedian for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman over a decade ago.

The classification means that Cosby must undergo monthly counseling for the rest of his life and report quarterly to authorities. His name will appear on a sex-offender registry sent to neighbors, schools and victims.
Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill made the decision as he weighed the punishment for Cosby for violating Temple University women’s basketball administrator Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia estate in 2004.
Cosby declined the opportunity to address the court before the judge retreated to his chambers around noon to weigh the sentence. O’Neill said he would announce his decision early in the afternoon.
The comic once known as America’s Dad for his role as wise and understanding Dr. Cliff Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” in the 1980s faced anywhere from probation to 10 years in prison after being convicted in April in the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era.
Cosby’s lawyers asked for house arrest, saying Cosby — who is legally blind — is too old and helpless to do time in prison. Prosecutors asked for five to 10 years behind bars, saying the comic could still be a threat to women.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele rejected the notion that “age, infirmity, should somehow equate to mercy.”
“He was good at hiding this for a long time. Good at suppressing this for a long time. So it’s taken a long time to get there,” Steele said.
Cosby’s lawyers had fought the “sexually violent predator” designation, arguing that Pennsylvania’s sex-offender law is unconstitutional and that he is no threat to the public at his age. But O’Neill said prosecutors had met their burden of proof by “clear and convincing” evidence.
When the ruling came down, a woman in courtroom shot her fist into the air and whispered, “Yessss!”
Meanwhile, Constand said in a statement submitted to the court and released Tuesday that she has had to cope with years of anxiety and self-doubt that have left her “stuck in a holding pattern.”
Constand, 45, said her training as a professional basketball player had led her to think she could handle anything, but “life as I knew it” ended on the night she said Cosby knocked her out with pills and penetrated her with his fingers as she lay nearly paralyzed on a couch.
Constand said she now lives alone with her two dogs and has trouble trusting people.
“When the sexual assault happened, I was a young woman brimming with confidence and looking forward to a future bright with possibilities,” she wrote in her five-page statement.
“Now, almost 15 years later, I’m a middle-aged woman who’s been stuck in a holding pattern for most of her adult life, unable to heal fully or to move forward.”
She also wrote: “We may never know the full extent of his double life as a sexual predator but his decades-long reign of terror as a serial rapist is over.”
In the years since Constand first went to authorities in 2005, more than 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, though none of those claims have led to criminal charges.
The judge ruled on Cosby’s sex-offender status after a defense psychologist, Timothy Foley, testified that the chances of the comedian committing another sex offense are “extraordinarily low” because he is old, legally blind and needs help getting around.
On Monday, a psychologist for the state
testified that Cosby appears to have a mental
disorder that gives him an uncontrollable
urge to assault women.
Cosby was smiling and joking with his spokesman and sheriff’s deputies as he settled into the courtroom Tuesday. On Day 1 of the sentencing, the comic laughed at times as the psychologist for the state testified.
Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom; they are generally banned in Pennsylvania.
The proceedings took place as another extraordinary #MeToo drama continued to unfold on Capitol Hill, where Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh faces allegations of sexual misconduct from more than three decades ago.
The AP does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they come forward publicly, which Constand and other accusers have done.
Cosby became the first black actor to star in a prime-time TV show, “I Spy,” in 1965. He remained a Hollywood A-lister for much of the next half-century.

Collusion Against Kavanaugh

This past weekend my comments expressing support for Judge Brett Kavanaugh and my disgust at how the far left will stop at nothing to derail his confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court were included in an article in the New York Times.
Now I’m receiving emails from women who say they are rape victims, and are aghast that I don’t believe Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations. They further accuse me of not supporting rape victims in general — a charge that is both cruel and made in ignorance.
Although they provide no reasons why they believe Dr. Ford is credible and that Judge Kavanaugh is not, my letters responding to them detail my position.
As expected, new additional false allegations are being made against Mr Kavanaugh even as I write this.  In both instances so far Senator Feinstein has been involved behind the scenes for quite some time crafting the story which she then drops on the American people at the last minute. She brought the first charge forward right before the Judiciary Committee and the Senate were to take their confirmation votes.  The latest charge was not revealed until after Senator Grassley acquiesced to the demands of the first false accuser’s demand of delaying her testimony before the committee.
It’s critical for everyone to understand that the Far Left will go to any extreme to keep Judge Kavanaugh from being confirmed.  I am angry that the very real issue of sexual assault is being used in such a clearly false manner. Such false charges not only destroy the lives and careers of the innocent, they sully the noble intent of the #MeToo movement which is to achieve justice for women who are victims of heinous crimes.  For a nation that believes the guilty should be punished and that people are innocent until proven guilty, these gross attempts to derail justice are repugnant. My open letter below addresses the first false accuser, who I view as fully discredited.  The second accuser is already discredited by her own statement of being uncertain about the sexual harassment until she “consulted with her attorney”.  As if her attorney could go back 35 years and verify what happened. Her charge is a laughable lie, except that the entire US judicial system is at stake.
Rest assured, other false accusers will continue to crawl out of the woodwork, because the Left is intent on creating chaos and transforming our nation into one big socialist Cesspool.  It’s time for decent Americans of both parties to call on the Senate to end the madness, the first step of which is to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.  Such a defeat of the Left will both set them back for many years and restore the constitutional law to American jurisprudence that protects each of us.
Hello Ms. Xxxx
Your note is very much appreciated and valued.
I’m so very sorry for your awful experience. When I was a child, an older relative was brutally raped by an intruder in her own home, and one of my best friends was raped by a former boyfriend just days after she broke up with him. They had not previously had sex, and when he kidnapped my friend and drove her into the woods he sneered, “I’m going to take from you the one thing you would never give me.” My friend kept her horror a secret for many years after the assault. While I do not pretend to know the depths of your personal suffering, I am familiar with the pain and anguish that rape victims experience.
I have long been a sexual assault victim’s advocate, and even worked with the wonderful organization, Security on Campus, to pass the Campus Sexual Assault Victim’s Bill of Rights in the 1990s. In fact, I served as a victim advocate for the brave young co-ed who was featured on the cover of Time magazine when I was successful at getting the national media to pay attention to the huge problem of campus sexual assault. I traveled with “Katie” to the Time magazine offices and was with her for every second of the photo shoot to ensure that she did not feel exploited or pressured to go through with the photo shoot if she changed her mind in the process.
Also in the 1990s, I worked on several projects with the Office for Victims of Crime at the U.S. Department of Justice. As part of that work, I assisted a nonprofit organization that rescued teenagers from the sex slave industry in New York City. Additionally, I was one of the team members that launched the “Enough is Enough” campaign that fights the sexual exploitation of women and children. I still serve on their advisory board today.
I say all of that to say this: I understand that many victims of rape wait years to talk about the horror, keeping it as a painful secret locked away from public scrutiny. Other victims never tell anyone.
There are also cases of false accusations. Sexual assault is a horrific crime, and sexual predators are the scum of the earth. Thus, falsely accusing someone of sexual assault is among the most evil and damaging things you can do to a person’s reputation.
I believe Dr. Ford has falsely accused Judge Kavanaugh for political purposes. In addition to Judge Kavanaugh’s total repudiation of the charges levied against him, here are just a few of the reasons why I believe the charges are false:
? Sen. Dianne Feinstein has long touted herself as an advocate for women. She says that Dr. Ford told her in a letter in July about the alleged assault. Yet, Mrs. Feinstein did nothing. She did not question Judge Kavanaugh when she met him privately. She did not question him publicly at the hearings. She did not give the letter to the FBI so they could immediately begin their investigation. She did not even tell her closest Senate colleagues about the accusation. Why? I believe it is because Mrs. Feinstein did not find it to be a credible accusation. Mrs. Feinstein only whipped out that letter as a last-ditch effort to sink Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court.
