The Gospel According to Nancy: No Borders, Kill Babies
Tucker Carlson pointed out a few days ago how the already insufferable leader of the Congressional Democrats has recently been "ordained….an archbishop in the church of progressive sanctimony." For a while now, Nancy Pelosi's been the country's expert on morality (e.g., border wall: immoral; abortion on demand: moral). She's now taken to telling the country how much she prays, and she's urging others to do it, too – at least that old sinner, Donald Trump. After last Thursday's televised squabble in the Oval Office, Pelosi shared with reporters how she told Trump she was praying for him and urged the president (whom she also called a "skunk" while ridiculing his manhood) to accept the Democrats' budget proposal with no funding for a border wall. "In fact," she said with stomach-turning piety, "I asked him to pray over it."
When a smug person ends an argument by telling you to "pray over it," she's really saying, "Ask God. He knows I'm right!"
Summarizing her and Chuck Schumer's meeting with Trump, she told the media, "I myself thought we should open the meeting with a prayer, which I did. I told him about King Solomon, when he was to become king of the Jews, he prayed to God, he said: 'I need you to give me great understanding and wisdom, Lord.'"
King Solomon is Pelosi's favorite Bible character, especially because he proposed solving a problem by cutting a baby in half.
Now Sister Nancy's praying for Trump to keep the government open so federal employees can finish their Christmas shopping.
It's an axiom that if a conservative says his faith informs his political decisions, he'll be condemned for establishing a state religion, while liberals get to veer back and forth over the church-state centerline as freely as those motorists who love to text while driving. Right now the liberal media are applauding the way Pelosi "schooled President Donald Trump about the Bible," but it's not clear why. It's not as if they're suddenly in favor of anyone being schooled in the Bible, especially anyone in a public classroom.
Pelosi never bats an eye without a political motive. This Saint Nancy act might be her attempt to occupy the spiritual high ground that, obviously, Donald Trump has shown no interest in occupying himself. Pelosi wouldn't dare try this with a president like George W. Bush, who, while he didn't boast about his piety on TV, was recognized as genuine in his Christian faith – prompting the left's usual reaction: Ross Douthat wrote in 2006 that "the fear of theocracy has become a defining panic of the Bush era."
Theology was less of an issue for liberals during the Obama years; he was their messiah, and they just worshiped him. Meantime, Obama conspicuously dissed orthodox Christians with everything from calculated snubs and criticism to gratuitously tormenting the Little Sisters of the Poor, all the while devotedly celebrating the unblemished virtues of Islam. In 2015, Hillary bluntly stated that "[d]eep-seated ... religious beliefs ... have to be changed" to accommodate the unlimited abortion license. Then, last year, Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez said it is "not negotiable" that "[e]very Democrat" support abortion. Pelosi tried to mitigate Perez's remarks by saying "of course" there's room for pro-lifers in the Democratic Party, but try to find one who's not actually voting Perez-style.
This year, Pelosi watched the Democrats lurch wildly to the extreme left. For decades before that, they were trusted allies in the left's war on conventional morality and religion (except Islam!) for being repressive, patriarchal, and counterrevolutionary. It may be that, alarmed that the Democrat brand has become too materialistic, amoral, and atheist, she thinks she can give it religion. Maybe she can draw an unfavorable comparison between the reprobate and undisciplined Donald Trump and herself: the "ardent, practicing Catholic," who exhorts the President to beg for "the great understanding and wisdom" that she (and Chuck Schumer?) have already been granted by God. Haven't Republicans marched under the banner of morality and Christian values long enough? Now that they've elected the unholy Trump, why can't the Democrats seize that banner for themselves?
For one thing, because no evangelical or conservative Catholic would ever buy it. Sure, the Democratic Party is crowded with Catholics, but the serious ones left years ago. The leading unserious Catholic is Pelosi herself, who professes her devotion to the faith but does it while living in open, willful defiance of the Church's crystal-clear teaching against abortion: "It is the teaching of the Catholic Church from the very beginning that the killing of an unborn child is always intrinsically evil and can never be justified."
When her duplicity threatened to become an issue in 2004, Pelosi pretended that, moved by her "ardent" devotion to the Church, she had been studying the Church's teaching on the beginning of life "a long time," and she stated falsely to Tom Brokaw on Meet the Press that the Church has never defined it. Asked when human life begins, she replied, "We don't know," and that "[t]he point is, that it shouldn't have an impact on the woman's right to choose" – the "it" being when a human life begins, which shouldn't have an impact on the decision to get an abortion. Easy mistake to make when your catechism is Roe v. Wade.
Later, when a reporter mentioned the Gosnell infanticides and challenged her own support for partial-birth abortion, an agitated Pelosi snarled back that "[a]s a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this[.] ... This shouldn't have anything to do with politics." But as a politician, she never stops talking about it, and the sacred ground she was talking about wasn't human life, but the exercise of a mother's "free will" to terminate her child. In response, New York's Cardinal Egan said, "Anyone who dares to defend that [the unborn] may be legitimately killed because another human being 'chooses' to do so or for any other equally ridiculous reason should not be providing leadership in a civilized democracy worthy of the name." Her own bishop reluctantly corrected her misstatements in a public letter, necessitated by "the widespread consternation among Catholics" of her deliberate distortions of Catholic doctrine. Pope Benedict counseled her, in person, on the Church's express teaching, "which enjoins all Catholics, and especially legislators," to protect "human life at all stages of its development." Pelosi, " the respectful Catholic" who presumed to tell Trump to pray for wisdom, emerged from thatmeeting no wiser for it, obtusely extolling the "Church's leadership in fighting poverty, hunger and global warming."
Jesus warned against hypocrites who make a public display of praying "that they may be seen by men." The way Pelosi pretends to exemplify "prayerful" politics, and the way she told Trump "in private" that she's praying for him – and immediately announced it in a televised press conference – is pure Pelosi: cynical, addlebrained, phony. If it might hurt Trump, she'll pontificate how every MS-13 killer retains a "spark of divinity," then goes right back to her life's work snuffing out that spark from 60 million innocents and counting. The Bible never says it's intrinsically evil to build a wall or protect a border, but it's still got that commandment against murder.
Let the Democrats canonize this Pharisee if they need a patron saint. Her feast day can fall on January 22.

Ethics Group Slams Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris for Brett Kavanaugh Fundraising
The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) has released its list of Worst Ethics Violators of 2018, which includes 2020 presidential hopefuls Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
Both Harris and Warren used their opposition of Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court as an opportunity to fundraise, according to FACT. The two Democratic Senators sent out emails claiming that the donation played a vital role in battling his confirmation. Shortly thereafter, FACT filed an ethics complaint against both senators.
Warren was caught off guard during a televised debate when her opponent mentioned that she was under investigation for an ethics complaint. At the time of the debate, Warren claimed she did not know about the invesitgation into the complaint.
Senators must conduct themselves according to the Senate Ethics rules. Under the Senate Ethics Manual’s Scope of The Authority, the Senate ‘may discipline a Member for any misconduct, including conduct or activity which does not directly relate to official duties, when such conduct unfavorably reflects on the institution as a whole.’ A Senator who solicits campaign contributions related to official action certainly casts an unfavorable reflection on the Senate. In addition, the use of official action for political fundraising is directly related to official duties.
In the complaint, FACT pointed to the following section of Senate Ethics rules:
Senate Ethics Rules prohibit Senators from solicitating campaign contributions based upon any action taken in their official capacity. By linking a promise of official action with campaign contributions, a Senator violates a ‘basic principle’ of Senate Ethics that guards against conflicts of interest. The Senate Ethics Manual is clear that a Senator “should never use the prestige or influence of a position in the Senate for personal gain. This provision was intended ‘as a broad prohibition against members, officers or employees deriving financial benefit, directly or indirectly, from the use of their official position.’” Moreover, Senators are to act based upon merit, not on partisan affiliation or for campaign contributions.
Several notable Republicans and Democrats made the list. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sat at the top of the list for “failing to adequately protect congressional staff from sexual and other forms of harassment.”
But the Democrats are determined to block
Trump's efforts to fortify the border. You can see them recoil at any border
wall talk. Here are the facts. The Democrats are willing to sell out the
country, law and order be damned, in order to deny Trump a victory over the
wall.
A few years ago, they were all for fortifying
the border but not now. Of course, if we had a media that publicized actual

support border security -- wall or no wall -- when they have repeatedly broken
their promises to work with Republicans on it, when they demonize all opponents
of illegal immigration and amnesty as racists, when they oppose all reasonable
measures to guard the border, and when many of them actually advocate the
elimination of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement?
Democrats and their
cheerleaders in the mainstream media tout themselves as concerned for
those addicted to drugs and regularly support increased spending money for
therapy. But they refuse to fund building the wall and for border
security on the Mexican border.
The wall would significantly
stop the flow of illegal drugs through the Mexican border to the USA, which
would reduce the supply of illegal drugs that cause addiction and deaths by
overdose. The Democrats and media support spending money to deal
with the effects of drugs smuggled across the border but refuse to spend money
to stop the smuggling.
There is no
doubt that illegal drugs and most heroin come across the Mexican
border. And now we have fentanyl, a
synthetic opioid that is 80-100 times stronger than morphine. According
to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), "[c]landestinely-produced fentanyl
is primarily manufactured in Mexico.
The Mexican cartels are
producing fentanyl and also receive it from China to smuggle it to the
USA. It is very
profitable for the cartels.
In 2017, more than 72,000
Americans died from drug overdoses, with at least 30,000 attributed to
fentanyl.
President Trump has called
for a border wall to stop illegal immigration and to reduce the flow of illegal
drugs, such as heroin and fentanyl. It is common sense and logical
that building a wall and fully securing the southern border would reduce the
flow of such drugs, reducing deaths and addiction.
Yet the Democrats refuse to
fund the border wall and border security.
Senator Schumer and
Speaker-Elect Pelosi agree to spend $1.5 billion for "border
security" but not for a wall. President Trump is asking for
only $5 billion. It is estimated that $27 to $40 billion is needed
to fully fund the wall.
It is time to fully fund the
border wall. The Trump Shutdown should focus on the record number of
Americans who die due to drugs smuggled from Mexico. The focus
should be on the Democrats and media that ignore the danger to
Americans. This debate should be coupled with the number of violent
crimes committed by illegal aliens.
Democrats and their media
will quibble about the exact number of violent crimes committed by illegal
aliens. But the point is that such crimes are avoidable if the
border is secured.
President Trump must be
supported to shut down the federal government to finally force funding the wall
to protect Americans. The issue is protecting Americans.
Iran is the principal state
sponsor and supporter
of terrorism. Iran has promised to destroy Israel. Iran's
Parliament chanted "death to America" while burning our flag. The
Dems and their media supported giving $150 billion to Iran but, they refuse to
spend more than $1.5 billion to protect Americans, when they know that spending
$27 to $40 billion would save thousands of Americans from death and addiction.
The bottom line is that the
Dems and their media do not care about the security and safety of Americans.

HAND BEHIND THE MIGRANT 'CARAVAN'
A
look at the history and agendas of Pueblo Sin Fronteras.
On
Sunday afternoon, hundreds of people at
the forefront of the horde of Central American migrants that has been headed
toward the United States for the past several weeks, stormed past past Mexican
riot police and rushed the U.S. border at the port of entry in San Ysidro,
California. Many of them threw rocks at U.S. authorities and were repelled by
rounds of tear gas shot by border agents. The U.S. Customs and Border
Protection agency reports that some of the would-be border-crossers “attempted to
illegally enter the U.S. through both the northbound and southbound vehicle
lanes at the port of entry itself” but “were stopped and turned back to
Mexico.”
The entity chiefly responsible for organizing and leading this horde of
migrants – euphemistically dubbed a “caravan” by most media outlets – is Pueblo
Sin Fronteras (PSF, “People Without Borders”), a Chicago-based nonprofit
organization founded in 2001 by Roberto Corona, a Mexican-born activist
dedicated to promoting the rights of illegal aliens in the United States. PSF
is a sister group to two other Chicago-based entities, Centro Sin Fronteras (CSF)
and its outgrowth, La Familia Latina Unida (LFLU, “The United Latin
Family”).
PSF
is a member of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON),
which seeks to “protect and expand [the] civil, labor, and human
rights” of day laborers in America, of whom approximately 75% are illegal aliens. Moreover,
NDLON aims to “mobilize” and “organize” these workers as a unified, politically
active demographic, and to force employers to establish “safer more humane
environments” wherein day laborers can “earn a living” that enables them to
“contribute to society and integrate into the community.”
Describing itself
as “a collective of friends” who stand “in permanent solidarity with
displaced peoples,” PSF began leading caravans of migrants and refugees from
Central America to the U.S. in 2008. The organization pledges not only to
“provide humanitarian aid and legal advice” to such sojourners, but also to
“build solidarity bridges among peoples and turn down border walls imposed
by greed.” Its overriding objective is to “abolish borders” and
facilitate the free, unregulated movement of Central American migrants into the
United States.
PSF’s
executive director is Emma Lozano (pictured above), a left-wing activist who
serves as co-pastor of the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Chicago, and as
the president and founder of Centro Sin Fronteras. Ms. Lozano’s late brother,
the left-wing community organizer Rudy Lozano, was the father of Pepe Lozano,
an activist with the Communist Party USA and
the Young Communist League.
At the Lincoln United Methodist Church in 2014, PSF
held a workshop that helped some 600 people apply or reapply for protection
under President Barack
Obama's Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive action of 2012, which shielded hundreds of
thousands of young illegal aliens (under age 31) from deportation.
Last
spring, PSF helped organize a “caravan” wherein hundreds of
asylum-seeking migrants from Central America resolved to enter the United
States illegally. The co-organizer of that “caravan” was the CARA Family Detention
Pro Bono Project, a coalition composed of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network,
the American Immigration Council,
the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, and
the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
On
March 23, 2018, PSF publicized the aforementioned
“caravan”
by issuing a press release demanding
that Mexico and the United States “respect our rights as refugees and
our right to dignified work to be able to support our
families”; “open the[ir] borders to us because we are as much citizens
as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel”; and
end
all “deportations which destroy families.” Ultimately, the PSF-led group
disbanded in Mexico City and never reached the United States.
The
much larger PSF-led horde that attempted to breach the U.S. border on Sunday originally
departed from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador about six weeks ago. When
its members and organizers openly declared their intent to forcibly break
American immigration and asylum laws, President Donald Trump warned the
governments of those three countries that if they failed to disband this
massive movement on their own soil, American foreign aid to those nations would
be greatly diminished.
In
an October 21 press release,
PSF accused Trump and the United States of using “repressive tactics” to
inflict “fear and racism” on the people of Central America. Moreover, the
organization demanded that Mexico declare itself a “sanctuary country” with
wide-open borders.
Rep. Elijah Cummings of
Maryland – one of many congressional Democrats who likewise have sided with the
thousands of “caravan” members defying American law – has stated that the
migrants “should be allowed to come in” to the United States and “seek
asylum” immediately. Cummings' position is
emblematic of the fact that the Democratic Party has demonstrably and
irrefutably become a party whose principal objective is to thoroughly transform
the nature of the American electorate by means of open borders and the mass,
unchecked importation of illiterate Third World peasants who will vote in
overwhelming numbers for Democrats from now until the end of time.

The agency’s own
statistics certainly contradict that, showing that the southern border region
is as porous and vulnerable as ever. Other entry ports that saw large hikes in
Central American illegal immigrants during the first two months of this fiscal
year include Del Rio, Texas (269%), El Centro, California (216%) and Rio Grande
Valley, Texas (154%). The Border Patrol breaks the stats down by “family unit”
and illegal immigrants under the age of 18, referred to as “Unaccompanied Alien
Children” or UAC. The Rio Grande Valley port of entry topped the list in both
categories with 8,537 family units and 6,465 UACs during the two-month period.
In all, the nation’s nine southern border crossings saw an average of 173%
increase in family units and a 106% increase in minors during the short period
considered.
Some of the illegal immigrants are Mexican nationals, but the overwhelming
majority comes from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The government records
show that somehow 4,450 family units from El Salvador evaded our topnotch
border security and entered the United States in a period of only two months.
Guatemala and Honduras had 3,934 and 3,203 respectively. Mexico had 538 family
units. Of interesting note is that, during this period, the Border Patrol
reports 35,234 apprehensions in the region of foreigners labeled by the
government as “Other Than Mexican” or OTM. This is a term used by federal
authorities to refer to nationals of countries that represent a terrorist
threat to the U.S.

DEMOCRATS STAND WITH FOREIGN RIOTERS
They challenge the use of teargas by border patrol agents under attack.
The news footage of the thousands of
members of the “migrant” caravan showed young men throwing rocks at U.S. Border
Patrol agents and attempting to charge the U.S./Mexican border. The
Border Patrol agents were clearly under attack and had only two courses of
action to take. The
beleaguered agents could step aside or even retreat and permit their positions
to be overrun by hundreds or even thousands of illegal aliens among whom are
likely criminals, gang members and even those affiliated with terrorism, who
would then disperse into the United States where the abject lack of resources
would enable them to meld into communities across the country, particularly
those jurisdictions that have been proclaimed “Sanctuary Cities.” Alternatively, they could stand
their ground and defend the border to prevent the illegal and un-inspected
entry of these invaders. In order to protect themselves, however, these
agents would need to deploy either lethal or less-than-lethal force.
We all know that the Border Patrol opted
to deploy teargas, a less-than-lethal force, that succeeded in repelling the
attempted breach of our border, although it was reported that approximately 50
aliens did manage to enter the United States, but were quickly apprehended and
taken into custody by the Border Patrol.
It would certainly appear that the agents
demonstrated discipline, restraint and professionalism in managing to bring a
very dangerous situation under control without the loss of life.
Incredibly, rather than commending these valiant federal agents, Democrats and
members of the mainstream media have attacked the agents. They complained
that these “asylum seeking migrants” should have been quickly processed and
permitted to enter the United States. They complained bitterly that the
use of teargas was wrong and had the potential to injure women and children who
were in the front of the surging mob.
On Tuesday, November 27, 2018 I was a
guest on Fox & Friends First to discuss the situation in
Tijuana, Mexico where the confrontation occurred. During my
segment the
anchors of the program noted the hypocrisy being exhibited by the Democrats and
who did not raise any objections when under the Obama administration, pepper
spray and other such less than lethal force were used to stopped an attempt by
illegal aliens to overpower the agents and breach the border. But they become
unhinged whenever President Trump acts to protect America and/or Americans.
In fact, when the issue of hypocrisy
exhibited by the Democrats was raised, I was compelled to cite how none other
than Chuck Schumer had, in 2014, called for creating a new federal law to
punish those who trespass on critical infrastructure or national landmarks by
imposing a five-year prison sentence for that crime.
Aliens who evade the vital inspections
process conducted at ports of entry are, at a minimum, trespassing on the
United States. This is a violation of law and poses a threat to national
security and public safety.
On October 13, 2014 Schumer posted a press release on his official website which
announced that because of dangers created by trespassers, particularly in this
era of terrorism, that he had proposed legislation that would make trespassing
on critical infrastructure and/or landmarks a federal crime with a maximum
prison sentence of five years.
His press release stated:
Schumer
pointed to the fact that New York City is a top terror target, and the recent
incidents of trespassing on critical infrastructure including, when two white
flags were placed atop the Brooklyn Bridge, a Pro-Palestinian flag was flung
from the Manhattan Bridge and a foreign tourist took a joy-walk along the
supports of the Brooklyn Bridge. In March, a 16-year old boy climbed to the top
of the World Trade Center to take a photo of himself, and has since been
arrested for climbing a water tower in New Jersey, yet another example of
critical infrastructure. Schumer said that the NYPD has done great work in
pursuing these recent cases, but it is clear that a federal law is needed to
better deter this behavior and to increase available punishments.
The press release went on to state:
“With
terror threats at a high, it must be made loud and clear to any would-be
trespassers, adrenaline junkies or potential criminals that the federal
government and the NYPD take trespassing on critical infrastructure and
national monuments very seriously; a law that makes this a federal crime and
raises the current maximum jail time from one to five years would help deter
this behavior, and provide the NYPD with stronger tools to combat this
disturbing trend.”
However, Schumer, who actually cited the
antics of a 16-year-old boy in his press release, had declared that anyone who
trespasses, including “adrenaline junkies,” should face a five-year prison
sentence.
However, when aliens trespass on the
United States, even where violence is concerned, Schumer and his Democratic
colleagues are determined to provide those illegal aliens with U.S.
citizenship!
Another issue I raised during my interview
is the way that women and their young children were positioned at the head of
the surging mob in Tijuana, thereby putting them in harm’s way. The
tactic of using women and children as “human shields” is a tactic seldom seen
anywhere but in the Middle East. This brings us back to the potential
that Hezbollah may have a hand in organizing this massive caravan, as I noted
in my article, "The Impending Alien Invasion."
I noted that President Trump has made much
about the supposed “migrants seeking asylum” who were waving the flags of their
home countries.
President Trump’s concerns are reasonable
and, indeed, spot-on.
The term “asylum” carries strong emotional
implications. Often images of the Holocaust come to mind, the Jews and
others fleeing from the Nazis and concentration camps.
Indeed, aliens who seek asylum are
supposed to be able to articulate “credible fear”that
because of their religion, race, ethnicity or political views they face
persecution or worse in their home countries.
It would be incomprehensible that true
refugees or asylum seekers would be waving the banner of their home countries
that subjected them to persecution or oppression.
Yet there is no shortage of men in the
caravan who are waving the flags of their native countries.
The point that I made during my interview
was that it is often difficult to determine the honesty and truthfulness of
individuals who are being interviewed by law enforcement authorities.
Those members of the caravan who would wave those flags of their native
countries are making an irrefutable statement, they are not fleeing persecution
but are seeking to enter the United States for other reasons, known only to
them.
The Democrats who are challenging the
tactics of the valiant Border Patrol agents to repel the invasion of thousands
of illegal aliens while demanding that these aliens be granted asylum is
encouraging still more aliens from around the world to head for the borders of
the United States.
It is likely that because so much emphasis
and resources of the Border Patrol and the military have been focused along the
U.S./Mexican border near Tijuana, that Mexico that other parts of the porous
U.S./Mexican border may be less able to detect and stop illegal entry by
illegal aliens and contraband.
These factors should cause consternation
among all Americans and all politicians irrespective of political
affiliation. The oaths of office taken by federal agents, members of the
Armed Force and members of Congress do not make any distinctions about
political affiliation. However, it has become crystal clear that the
Democrats are rooting for the aspiring illegal aliens and seeking to undermine
the elements of the Department of Homeland Security that enforces and administers
our nation’s immigration laws.
The wall that President Trump has wanted
to construct since his first day in office would have been extremely helpful
today, but then, neither side has wanted to actually secure that dangerous
border or take the other steps such as hiring an adequate number of ICE agents,
essential to imbue the immigration system with real integrity.
In point of fact, the lack of integrity of
the immigration system is paralleled by the abject lack of integrity of the
leadership of both political parties.
The official report, 9/11 and Terrorist Travel” was prepared by the members of the 9/11 Commission staff
that consisted of federal agents and attorneys.
This report focused specifically on the
ability of terrorists--not just the 19 hijackers--but other terrorists as well,
to enter the United States and embed themselves in communities throughout the
country as they went about their deadly preparations to carry out an
attack.
The first paragraph of the preface of this
report shall serve as the “final word” for my article, today and should be
required reading for all of our political “leaders”:

perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in
the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to
September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of
the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism
arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of
obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border
security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We
believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made
one.
