KAMALA HARRIS SAYS SHE LOVES THE HUCKSTER AL SHARPTON, BUT THEN THIS IS THE WOMAN WHO SLEPT WITH WILLIE BROWN FOR A JOB!

(CNSNews.com) - Al Sharpton, a man who injects himself into racial controversy wherever it may happen, tweeted on Sunday that he was on his way to Baltimore, where he planned to hold a news conference on Monday to address President Trump's weekend tweets.
That prompted President Trump to criticize Al Sharpton, whom he called a "con man" and a "troublemaker always looking for a score."
To which Sen. Kamala Harris, a Democrat presidential hopeful, tweeted on Monday:
@TheRevAl has spent his life fighting for what's right and working to improve our nation, even in the face of hate. It's shameful, yet unsurprising that Trump would continue to attack those who have done so much for our country.
Sharpton is among the many liberals expressing outrage over President Trump's comments concerning Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and his congressional district, which includes troubled West Baltimore.
In a series of tweets beginning on Saturday, President Trump blasted Cummings:
Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA......
....As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place
Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!
The president issued many similar tweets following those three, as liberal cable networks fumed about Trump’s “racism.”
After Sharpton announced his intention to weigh in, Trump wrote on Monday:
I have known Al for 25 years. Went to fights with him & Don King, always got along well. He “loved Trump!” He would ask me for favors often. Al is a con man, a troublemaker, always looking for a score. Just doing his thing. Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates Whites & Cops!
Baltimore, under the leadership of Elijah Cummings, has the worst Crime Statistics in the Nation. 25 years of all talk, no action! So tired of listening to the same old Bull...Next, Reverend Al will show up to complain & protest. Nothing will get done for the people in need. Sad!
Al Sharpton would always ask me to go to his events. He would say, “it’s a personal favor to me.” Seldom, but sometimes, I would go. It was fine. He came to my office in T.T. during the presidential campaign to apologize for the way he was talking about me. Just a conman at work!
Shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, President Trump tweeted that he might be willing to help reverse the misfortunes of inner-city Baltimore:
Crazy Bernie Sanders recently equated the City of Baltimore to a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! Based on that statement, I assume that Bernie must now be labeled a Racist, just as a Republican would if he used that term and standard! The fact is, Baltimore can be brought back, maybe even to new heights of success and glory, but not with King Elijah and that crew. When the leaders of Baltimore want to see the City rise again, I am in a very beautiful oval shaped office waiting for your call!

President Donald Trump defied Al Sharpton Monday after the veteran black activist prepared to protest the president for his comments criticizing Rep. Elijah Cummings.

“Al is a con man, a troublemaker, always looking for a score. Just doing his thing,” Trump wrote. “Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates Whites & Cops!”
On his MSNBC show on Sunday, Sharpton criticized Trump for “insult after racist insult” towards Cummings and Baltimore.
Sharpton lectured Republicans for looking the other way as Trump continued his “blatant dehumanizing racist rant” that was “endorsed” by his base.
“Here we have blatant, raw, racism, and crickets from the Republican party,” Sharpton said.
As a prominent New York businessman, Trump said on Twitter that he had known Sharpton for 25 years and even “got along well” with him when he went to boxing fights with Don King.
“He ‘loved Trump!” Trump wrote. “He would ask me for favors often.”
Sharpton wrote on Twitter on Sunday he was preparing to travel to Baltimore.
“Long day but can’t stop,” he wrote.
Sharpton announced plans for a Monday protest in Baltimore with former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele to criticize Trump’s remarks.
The president repeated Baltimore had the worst crime statistics in the country
“25 years of all talk, no action!” he wrote. “So tired of listening to the same old Bull… Next, Reverend Al will show up to complain & protest. Nothing will get done for the people in need. Sad!”
Sharpton responded with a photo of Trump and himself at Sharpton’s National Action Network’s convention.
“Trump at NAN Convention 2006 telling James Brown and Jesse Jackson why he respects my work,” he wrote. “Different tune now.”
Trump said that he would “seldom” attend Sharpton’s events, but did it as a “personal favor” to the activist. He claimed that Sharpton eventually apologized for his criticism of the president during the 2016 campaign.
“He came to my office in [Trump Tower] during the presidential campaign to apologize for the way he was talking about me,” he wrote. “Just a conman at work!”
Trump taunted Democrats for defending Cummings and the “squad” of leftist members of Congress.
“If the Democrats are going to defend the Radical Left ‘Squad’ and King Elijah’s Baltimore Fail, it will be a long road to 2020,” he wrote. “The good news for the Dems is that they have the Fake News Media in their pocket!”

FACT CHECK: Al Sharpton’s History of Racism, Antisemitism, Anti-Police Rhetoric

Al Sharpton has a long history of bigotry that includes anti-white racism, antisemitism, and demonization of law enforcement.

His record has become relevant for two reasons. First, Democratic presidential candidates have been courting his support — with no criticism of his past.
Second, President Donald Trump tweeted Monday morning that Al Sharpton is a “con man” who “Hates Whites & Cops.”

I have known Al for 25 years. Went to fights with him & Don King, always got along well. He “loved Trump!” He would ask me for favors often. Al is a con man, a troublemaker, always looking for a score. Just doing his thing. Must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates Whites & Cops! https://twitter.com/thereval/status/1155656396685357059

He did so ahead of a press conference planned Monday in Baltimore where Sharpton and former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele — a frequent Trump critic — were to object to Trump’s recent criticisms of the city. (which were nearly universally shared until Trump made them).
Sharpton’s record matches Trump’s claims.
As Breitbart News noted earlier this year (original links):
Sharpton has a long history of controversial racial rhetoric. In the notorious Tawana Brawley case in 1987, Sharpton backed a teenager’s false accusations of rape, stirring racial divisions in New York and across the country. When he was successfully sued for defamation [by a prosecutor whom Brawley falsely accused of being among her attackers], he refused to pay the judgement, and supporters had to step in on his behalf. Sharpton still refuses to apologize for his role.
In 1991, Sharpton helped incite riots against religious Jews in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn after a black child was killed in a car accident. An enraged mob murdered a visiting Jewish religious student, Yankel Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum’s brother told Breitbart News in 2012: “I have never seen a person be able to avoid being held accountable in substantive terms for his various and significant serious otherwise well publicized misdeeds over such a prolonged period of time, as Sharpton. This is truly an indictment on all those who have done so in the past and continue to do so.” (Sharpton acknowledged some of his “mistakes” in Crown Heights, while protesting his innocence, in a 2011 op-ed in the New York Daily News.)
In another riot in 1995, Sharpton led protests against Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned store in Harlem, after it was forced to raise the rent on a sub-tenant, a black-owned record store. (Sharpton called the owner a “white interloper.”) One of the protesters later shot four employees and set the store on fire, bringing the death total to seven.
As of 2008, Sharpton’s NAN had massive debts and owed $2 million in taxes, which it claimed to be paying off. In 2014, the New York Times reported that Sharpton had “more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens against him and his for-profit businesses,” which he denied. And in 2009, Sharpton and NAN agreed to pay $285,000 in civil penalties after the Federal Election Commission found that NAN had made improper contributions to his 2004 presidential campaign, when he ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic Party nomination.
In 2012, Sharpton and NAN played a key role in inflaming national division and outrage over the death of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed during a scuffle with neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. Sharpton promoted false reports that Zimmerman used what Sharpton called “racial language” in speaking with police. He used his prime-time program on MSNBC to promote the story, including the claim that Zimmerman — whose mother is Peruvian — was “white,” implying racial bias in the killing.
Despite that record, Sharpton has been rehabilitated by the left and the mainstream media. He hosted Saturday Night Live in 2003. He spoke to the Democratic National Convention in 2004 (breaking with his prepared text to aim a racially-tinged attack at President George W. Bush). He was hired as a host by MSNBC in 2011.
But the most important event in Sharpton’s journey from the fringe to the mainstream was President Barack Obama’s decision to embrace him in 2011, even as other black leaders on the left stepped up their criticism of the administration.
As the Daily Beast reported: “Obama stayed so far away from Sharpton during the 2008 campaign that Sharpton, with Obama’s blessing, never even endorsed him. Yet not only did Obama just become the first president ever to appear at the annual conference of Sharpton’s National Action Network, ten top Obama aides, including six cabinet members, Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod, spoke at various sessions of the four-day event.”
Today, Democratic hopefuls are beating a path to Sharpton’s door, eager to speak at his NAN podium — with the slogan, “No Justice, No Peace” emblazoned behind them.
Sharpton has also played a leading role in the Black Lives Matter movement, which has demonized police.
The left-leaning Daily Beast blamed Sharpton, in part, for inflaming the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014 into local riots and a national conflagration:
The narrative thus set, Al Sharpton and the media descended upon Ferguson alongside outside agitators who marched with such slogans as “No Justice, No Peace” or “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot.” More unrest would follow when the grand jury elected not to indict the officer for the tragic shooting. Riots and looting would ensue—with breathless coverage in the media and little from the President of the United States and the Attorney General to quell the violence.
In 2016, Sharpton was among the defendants sued by a black police officer from Dallas — Sergeant Demetrick Pennie, President of the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation — for allegedly inciting hatred against police. (Five officers were previously killed in Dallas by a sniper during a Black Lives Matter protest.)
There is arguably no person in America more responsible for the decline in race relations in recent years. A Gallup poll of attitudes on race relations shows that they were improving until roughly 2012/3 — when Sharpton burst onto the scene with the Trayvon Martin controversy.
Trump’s claim is therefore grounded in a solid foundation of facts — facts that the media, following Obama’s lead, have swept aside for years.

Willie Brown's Ex-Girlfriend Opposes School Choice

The well-rehearsed attack by Sen. Kamala Harris on Joe Biden that destroyed his candidacy during the clown-car Democratic presidential debates should have come as no surprise  to those who have watched her rise to political prominence. Never mind its relevance or accuracy -- for Harris the ends have always justified the means.
We saw during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh that Kamala Harris is an ambitious politician with a chain-saw-prosecutorial style designed to bludgeon her targets with attacks and arguments that are more bluster than brilliant. She revealed herself to be a political opportunist who, as Sen. Cory Booker’s “Spartacus moment” fizzled, knows an “Elmer Gantry moment” when she sees one. As Jonathan S. Tobin noted inNational Review:
She first earned notoriety in the Senate last year by demonstrating open incivility bordering on bullying when she interrogated Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the national-intelligence chiefs. Bullying witnesses and cutting them off before they have a chance to answer is her modus operandi during hearings…
The same qualities were on display during her questioning of Kavanaugh. But while, like the other Democrats, she never succeeding in outsmarting the judge, she was the only one to momentarily flummox him by bringing up the Mueller investigation.
She started with an impossibly general and specious query about whether he had ever discussed the Mueller probe with “anyone.”…by asserting, even by implication, that Kavanaugh might somehow be part of the Russia-collusion discussion, Harris gave liberal Democrats exactly the kind of red meat they crave.
Along with her snide and disrespectful prosecutorial tone, that made her the winner of the first day of the Kavanaugh primary.
But Harris did more than badger, mislead, and imply in her attempt to slander Kavanaugh. Harris circulated a deceptively edited video designed to further her narrative that, far from being an originalist that would apply the law fairly on any case, including those involving abortion, Kavanaugh was an active participant in the campaign to repeal Roe V. Wade. As Ashe Schow noted in the Daily Wire:
Harris’ Twitter account put out a clip that appeared to show Kavanaugh referring to birth control blanketly as “abortion-inducing drugs.”
This is clearly deceptive, as it’s obvious this was not the beginning of one of Kavanaugh’s answers. Kavanaugh’s full sentence, which would have only required one or two extra seconds had Harris’ team started at the beginning, made it clear he was summarizing what a party in a Supreme Court case said.
Kavanaugh said, "In that case, they said filling out the form would make them complicit in the provision of the abortion-inducing drugs that they were, as a religious matter, objected to." (Emphasis added.)
Harris was willing to, uh, falsify evidence to slander Kavanaugh and push the false narrative that Kavanaugh was just another pro-lifer waging a war on women. As she tweeted:
Kavanaugh chooses his words very carefully, and this is a dog whistle for going after birth control. He was nominated for the purpose of taking away a woman’s constitutionally protected right to make her own health care decisions. Make no mistake - this is about punishing women.
Make no mistake -- her abuse of Kavanaugh and Biden is about advancing the career of Kamala Harris. While portraying herself as a victim of segregation Biden supported, she neglected to point out her vehement opposition to school vouchers and school choice, things that would really free minorities from being trapped in failing schools and give a real and equal shot at getting a quality education. She’s all for busing children from and to the schools the government chooses, but not letting parents send their kids to the schools they choose. Harris in 2017 joined fellow Senate Democrats in a 24-hour floor session trying to sink the nomination of pro-school choice nomine Betsy DeVos to be Education Secretary.  As Joy Resmovits reported in the Los Angeles Times:
Harris' remarks came amid a 24-hour marathon session that Democrats mounted to debate DeVos' nomination on the Senate floor -- a last-ditch effort to secure the one additional Republican vote needed to torpedo her confirmation.
DeVos, a Republican fundraiser from Michigan, former state party chair and school choice activist, has faced intense opposition since her confirmation hearing in January -- the most of any of President Trump's Cabinet picks. DeVos spent her career advancing school vouchers, which would allow students to use public dollars to attend private schools, both secular and religious.
It would seem it is Kamala Harris who continues to stand in the schoolhouse door. During a visit with DeVos to Saint Andrew Catholic School in Orlando Florida in 2017, President Trump rightly called education “the civil rights issue of our time”. As the New York Post reported:
Trump’s visit capped off a week in which he addressed the nation in a Joint Session of Congress, pledging to fix the education system in America, invoking civil rights and claiming it could be fixed using school choice -- using public funds to enroll students in alternative charter schools and private schools as traditional public schools.
“We want millions more to have the same chance to achieve the great success that you’re achieving,” said Trump during his visit to St. Andrew Catholic School in Orlando, which receives a state funded benefit to operate as a religious school.
“St. Andrew’s Catholic School represents one of the many parochial schools dedicated to the education of some of our nation’s most disadvantaged children, but they’re becoming just the opposite very rapidly through education and with the help of the school choice programs,” Trump said in very brief remarks…
“As I’ve often said -- in my address to Congress and just about anyplace else I can speak -- education is the civil rights issue of our time. And it’s why I’ve asked Congress to support a school choice bill,’ he said.
Don’t ask Kamala Harris who, while thanking school busing for helping to launch her career, owes much more for her advancement for her association with former Democratic Speaker of the California Assembly Willie Brown. As the Washington Examiner noted:
Kamala Harris’ first significant political role was an appointment by her powerful then-boyfriend Willie Brown, three decades her senior, to a California medical board that has been criticized as a landing spot for patronage jobs and kickbacks.
Then 30, Harris was dating 60-year-old Willie Brown, at the time the Democratic speaker of the California State Assembly, when he placed her on the California Medical Assistance Commission in 1994. The position paid over $70,000 per year, $120,700 in current money, and Harris served on the board until 1998.
The medical commission met twice a month, and Harris, a United States senator for California since 2017 and now a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, missed about 20% of the meetings each year, according to commission records obtained by the Washington Examiner.
Harris, now 54, and Brown, now 85, started dating in the spring of 1994, showing up arm-in-arm at numerous high-profile functions, including Brown’s lavish parties and celebrity galas. He has been separated but not divorced from his wife Blanche Vitero since the 1980s and has maintained a string of girlfriends over the years.
Maybe, Kamala Harris, it’s not what you know but who you know.

Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris is leading the charge to lift the ban that keeps Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients from working on Capitol Hill.
'The giant sign outside my office says 'DREAMers Welcome Here' because we know and value the contributions that these young people have made to their communities. But right now, those same young people are banned from giving back to their country by working for Congress. That has to change,' she said in a statement Wednesday.
'Government works best when it reflects the people it represents. Our nation's DREAMers are some of our best and brightest, and it's time they had the opportunity to get a job or paid internship on Capitol Hill,' the California Democrat said.
Under current law, paid employment in the House and Senate is limited to those who are either U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents - more commonly referred to as 'green card holders' - who have started the naturalization process.

Harris has been courting the Latino vote as part of her strategy of weaving together various Democratic constituencies to win the 2020 presidential nomination.
Harris, the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, has campaigned in the Latino-heavy states of Nevada and Texas.
At her events, she also encourages questions in Spanish as she has a translator present  - all of which are seen as moves to combat fluent Spanish-speaker Beto O'Rourke in his bid to become the Democratic nominee.
Other contenders are also courting Latinos.
On Tuesday, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro became the first candidate in the Democratic field to unveil a detailed immigration plan. His proposal would offer a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.
Harris, along with Democratic Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada and Dick Durbin of Illinois, introduced on Wednesday The American Dream Employment Act that would make the so-called Dreamers eligible for congressional employment.
The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives by Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick of Arizona, where it has 57 bipartisan co-sponsors.

The status of Dreamers in the United States is in limbo, as President Donald Trump ended the President Obama-era DACA policy and Congress has not acted to permanently protect DACA recipients.
Court decisions have kept the program in place.
Trump's threat to close the border and harsh rhetoric toward immigrants has caused many Latino voters to feel vilified by the president.
