In the last two years, ICE officers made 266,000 arrests of aliens with criminal records, including those charged or convicted of 100,000 assaults, 30,000 s ex crimes, and 4,000 violent k illings. Over the years, thousands of Americans have been brutally k illed by those who illegally entered our country, and thousands more lives will be lost if we don't act right now.

“It’s almost impossible to get convicted in this city,” said [Sgt. Kevin] Healy, who works in the Police Department’s narcotics division. “The message needs to be sent that it’s not OK to be selling drugs. It’s not allowed anywhere else. Where else can you walk up to someone you don’t know and purchase crack and heroin? Is there such a place?”…

Police say drug dealers from the East Bay ride BART into San Francisco every day to prey on the addicts slumped on our sidewalks, and yet the city that claims to so desperately want to help those addicts often looks the other way.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform’s 2017 report, illegal immigrants, and their children, cost American taxpayers a net $116 billion annually -- roughly $7,000 per alien annually. While high, this number is not an outlier: a recent study by the Heritage Foundation found that low-skilled immigrants (including those here illegally) cost Americans trillions over the course of their lifetimes, and a study from the National Economics Editorial found that illegal immigration costs America over $140 billion annually. As it stands, illegal immigrants are a massive burden on American taxpayers.

California Governor Pardons Three Immigrant Felons to Avoid Deportation

California Governor Gavin Newsom pardoned three immigrant felons last week to help them avoid being deported from the United States.

Newsom, who oversees the most pro-illegal immigration state in U.S. history, pardoned three immigrants — Arnou Aghamalian from Iran, Thear Seam from Cambodia, and Victor Ayala from El Salvador — in order to erase their criminal records and help them avoid deportation back to their native countries.
Aghamalian, a 42-year-old refugee from Iran, was pardoned by Newsom after being convicted in December 1999 for aiding in setting fire to a nightclub owner’s car. Aghamalian first entered the U.S. as a refugee when he was 15-years-old.
Seam, a 41-year-old refugee from Cambodia was pardoned following his August 1996 conviction where a jury found him guilty of robbery, as well as an accessory to a high-speed chase where he was helping a wanted fugitive evade arrest by police. Seam first entered the U.S. as a refugee when he was 4-years-old.
Also pardoned by Newsom is 38-year-old Victor Ayala, a legal immigrant from El Salvador, who was convicted in 1999, 2000, and 2001 for misdemeanor theft, hit-and-run, and felony theft. Ayala first entered the U.S. when he was 2-years-old.
Newsom’s pardoning of the immigrants comes after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo pardoned six illegal alien convicts last year to help them evade deportation.
An investigation by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) in 2018 revealed that California’s sanctuary state policy — which shields criminal illegal aliens from deportation — is likely responsible for at least 5,000 crimes committed by criminal illegal aliens previously freed into the general public by the state.

Public Defender: Illegal Alien Charged with Murdering Four Americans Unfit for Death Penalty Due to Low IQ

An illegal alien accused of murdering four Americans over the course of a week in Nevada is set to claim that he is “intellectually disabled” in order to avoid the death penalty.

Wilbur Ernesto Martinez-Guzman, a 20-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged with murdering 56-year-old Connie Koontz, 74-year-old Sophia Renken, 81-year-old Gerald David, and his 80-year-old wife, Sharon David, between January 10 and 15 after prosecutors said he was looking to steal money from his victims to buy more meth. The state of Nevada is seeking the death penalty.
To avoid the death penalty, though, Martinez-Guzman will seek to the deemed “intellectually disabled” which would make him ineligible for the death penalty, the Associated Press reports:
[Public defenders] say information gathered so far shows [Martinez-Guzman’s] IQ is much lower than originally believed and that he may have been exposed to pesticides and fertilizers while working in farm fields in his native country. [Emphasis added]
“Based on the investigation to date, there is a good faith basis to believe that Mr. Guzman is ineligible for the death penalty because he may be intellectually disabled. There could be no greater insult to public justice that to execute someone that as a matter of law is ineligible for capital punishment,” Washoe County Public Defender John Arrascada wrote in the Oct. 4 motion. [Emphasis added]
So far, prosecutors have said there is not enough evidence to rule out the death penalty for Martinez-Guzman. The illegal alien’s attorneys are looking to have the trial moved to February 2021 despite the current trial date of April 2020.
Illegal aliens charged with murder have routinely been using the “intellectually disabled” defense to avoid being put to death. In the case of illegal alien gang member Apolinar Altamirano, who allegedly murdered 21-year-old Grant Ronnebeck in January 2015, was able to be deemed “intellectually disabled” in order to avoid the death penalty.
Among those allegedly murdered by Martinez-Guzman was Connie Koontz, a mother, whose mother’s 80th birthday was the following day. Koontz, herself, was set to turn 57 five days after her murder. A GoFundMe page has been created to help the Koontz family in the wake of her murder.
Also allegedly murdered was 74-year-old Sophia Renken, as well as Gerald and Sharon David, who were both beloved members of the South Reno community. Gerald was president of the Reno Rodeo Association in 2006 and Sharon was a member of the group.

Facts About How a Deportable Criminal Alien Was Left Free to Kill Are Excluded from Murder Trial

Texas family of victim aggrieved despite life sentence

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — It was good that an elected state judge in San Antonio last week sentenced an illegally present Mexican national to life in a Texas prison after conviction at trial for murdering San Antonio college student Jared Vargas. But justice and broader public safety were not thoroughly served here, and the victim's family was left wanting.
The problem is that a key element of Vargas's murder was hermetically excluded from the trial: That murderer Ernesto Esquivel-Garcia was a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico who could have been deported several times before he killed Vargas, but wasn't.
Before the trial started last month, the defendant's legal team filed a motion to exclude any "reference to, or insinuation concerning the status or nature of Ernesto Esquivel-Garcia's immigration or citizenship status" due to its potential "harmful effect" and its "highly prejudicial content".
Judge Kevin M. O'Connell and prosecutors of Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales' office, whose 2018 electoral campaign got a $1 million boost from liberal billionaire George Soros, yielded without a fight in this sanctuary-wanna-be South Texas city. By signing the order, Judge O'Connell essentially muzzled any discussion or revelation at the recent trial and sentencing hearing, organic or orchestrated, as to why the deportable convicted criminal was able to stay in the country long enough to kill an American citizen.
Blocking the information entirely from an open courtroom guaranteed that a poisonous mystery — the most pivotal causal factor in Vargas' murder — will eat away at surviving members of his family until they learn what happened.
"We don't understand why he was able to get arrested and get released and get arrested and then get released," Cristin Vargas, the victim's aunt and family spokeswoman, told CIS. "Based on our understanding of the law he should have been deported before all this happened."
Granted, those immigration system failings weren't on trial, and Texas officials no doubt have their legal reasoning. But an argument should have been made that allowing any specificity to surface about why Esquivel-Garcia was not deported before he killed, though certainly not in lieu of direct evidence of the physical murder itself, was an essential part of a whole truth that can serve the ends of justice. And isn't that the point of a murder trial? This truth might well also have identified repairable flaws in the immigration system, held public servants in it to account, and by those save other lives one day.
Perhaps that's overstating the matter. We'll never know now. Cristin Vargas said she and other family members are grateful for the life sentence the judge handed down. But they will have to continue an inquiry now on their own, even though they don't really know how. Before the trial, this was a bit of crusade. Cristin ran head-on into official refusals to, for instance, identify an immigration judge who freed his killer to kill Vargas. The Vargas family has formed bonds with other similarly situated families who also have angrily stewed about the opacity of an immigration enforcement system that killed their loved ones.
"In our situation, when we were trying to put all of this together, we met obstacles and road blocks one after another," she said. "We still don't know why this happened to Jared."
