Trump: Open Borders Threatens the Wage Gains of America’s Lowest-Income Workers

President Donald Trump touted the wage gains for Americans in the lowest income brackets, adding that that the open borders policies of the Democratic Party threaten those gains.

“Since the election, real wages have gone up 3.2 percent for the median American worker,” Trump said in a speech Tuesday to the Economic Club of New York. “But for the bottom income group, real wages are soaring. A number that has never happened before. Nine percent.”
Wage gains for those near the bottom of America’s economic ladder have been particularly strong this year. The lowest-paid Americans saw weekly earnings rise by more than 5 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier, according to a quarterly survey of households produced by the Labor Department. Workers with less than a high-school diploma saw their wages grow nearly 6 percent.
“That may mean you make a couple of bucks less in your companies,” Trump said. “And you know what? That’s okay. This is a great thing for our country. When you talk about equality. This is a great thing for our country.”
The so-called “poverty gap”–which measures the heightened poverty rate among blacks and Hispanics compared to poverty overall–shrank to its lowest level on record last year. The racial gap in unemployment has also contracted as unemployment rates hit record lows this year. Black unemployment hit its lowest level on record in November.
Trump gave credit to the tight labor market for the improvement in wages and employment. But opening the countries borders to new workers from abroad would threaten those gains, he added.
“Our tight labor market is helping them the most,” Trump said. “Yet the Democrats in Washington want to erase these gains through an extreme policy of open borders, flooding the labor market and driving down incomes for the poorest Americans. And driving crime through the roof.”
Economic studies have shown that when the supply of workers goes up, the price that companies have to pay to hire workers goes down.
“Wage trends over the past half-century suggest that a 10 percent increase in the number of workers with a particular set of skills probably lowers the wage of that group by at least 3 percent,” Harvard economist George Borjas has written. “But because a disproportionate percentage of immigrants have few skills, it is low-skilled American workers, including many blacks and Hispanics, who have suffered most from this wage dip.”
Sotomayor at DACA Oral Arguments: ‘This Is About Our Choice to Destroy Lives’

During oral arguments at the United States Supreme Court Tuesday on  he future of the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program, Justice Sonia Sotomayor injected politics into the discussion, saying President Donald Trump has said he would find a way to keep DACA recipients in the United States but has not done so.

Sotomayor also addressed what other justices cited — the “reliance interests” of DACA recipients, or how the government program has allowed illegal migrants to get Social Security numbers, drivers licenses, and work permits that they have come to rely on.
Sotomayor said:
I think my colleagues have rightly pointed [out] there’s a whole lot of reliance interests that weren’t looked at, including the very President of — current President telling DACA-eligible people that they were safe under him and that he would find a way to keep them here. And so he hasn’t and, instead, he’s done this. And that, I think, has something to be considered before you rescind a policy.
“Right,” Solicitor General Noel Francisco said.
“Not just say I’ll give you six months to do it,” Sotomayer said, referring to Trump’s past announcement that he would hold off on rescinding DACA for six months to allow Congress to come up with a legislative solution.
“And where is the political decision made clearly?” Sotomayor said referring to the June 22, 2018 memorandum issued by Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to explain why the department was rescinding DACA.
“That this is not about the law; this is about our choice to destroy lives,” Sotomayor said, directly expressing what she believed a ruling to end DACA would mean to those enrolled in it.
The back and forth between the justices, Francisco and two attorneys who argued for DACA petitioners — attorney Ted Olson and Michael Mongan, Solicitor General at California Department of Justice – included more discussion about the impact the ruling would have on both DACA recipients and the future enforcement of federal immigration law.
Olson and Mongan argued that the Trump administration did not provide a compelling reason for rescinding DACA, which came to the high court after differing results in lower court decisions on the matter.
Francisco argued that DACA, put in place by President Barack Obama’s executive action in 2012, was not legal or highly likely to be illegal and it also would “hamstring” federal law enforcement from enforcing immigration law.
But the heart of the case revolves around two issues: Can the courts review the government’s rescission of the DACA program? And was the government’s decision to rescind DACA “arbitrary and capricious” in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), which sets standards for federal agency actions that are generally enforceable in the courts?
The case analysis by Steven D. Schwinn of the University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall School of law noted that “As of 2017, when the government rescinded the program, there were nearly 700,00 active DACA recipients. Their average age was just under 24-years-old. Over 90 percent were employed and 45 percent were in school.”
Many of the groups submitting Amicus briefs in favor of DACA in perpetuity — or forever — were educational institutions and U.S. businesses who benefit from this demographic.
The entities backing DHS were those groups that believe DACA is not constitutional and benefits those in the country illegally while threatening the employment and educational opportunities of citizens.
A ruling in the case is expected in June 2020.

Report: White House Wants Webcam of Wall Construction

US vet cancels project to raise money for border wall

The White House wants to set up livestream cameras of wall construction on the border by 2020, according to a report.

Four people “familiar with the White House proposal” spoke to the Washington Post about the discussions, with one anonymous White House official confirming the plan to launch a wall cam.
“There will be a wall cam, and it’ll launch early next year,” the official said.
The idea is being pushed by President Trump’s son-in-law, White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, who wants a modern way for supporters to monitor wall construction, according to the report.
But the report also noted that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials expressed concerns about the idea, citing security reasons and protections for proprietary techniques.

“Extensive research by economists like George Borjas and analyst Steven Camarota reveals that the country’s current mass legal immigration system burdens U.S. taxpayers and America’s working and middle class while redistributing about $500 billion in wealth every year to major employers and newly arrived immigrants. Similarly, research has revealed how Americans’ wages are crushed by the country’s high immigration levels.”  JOHN BINDER

Trump won the presidency by promising to restore the rule of immigration law after decades of bipartisan neglect. Sessions, serving as a senator from Alabama in 2016, was uniquely positioned to do so. No politician had devoted as much time to documenting the corrosive effects of low-skilled mass immigration on the country’s working class. Sessions was a nationalist long before Trump came on the scene. He knew the myriad tactics through which the nation’s career bureaucrats and immigration advocates had abetted mass illegal entry and set out to block them. As attorney general, he used every lawful tool available to his office to fight the sanctuary-city movement, whereby local jurisdictions openly defy the federal government’s efforts to protect the public from illegal-alien criminals. HEATHER MAC DONALD – CITY JOURNAL

Donald Trump Floats Deal with Democrats to Let DACA Recipients Stay

President Donald Trump floated the option Tuesday to let some children brought to the country illegally stay in the country if the Supreme Court ruled against former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“President Obama said he had no legal right to sign order, but would anyway,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “If Supreme Court remedies with overturn, a deal will be made with Dems for them to stay!”
Trump commented as the Supreme Court takes up the legal case against the Trump administration as the president moved to end DACA.
The president appeared willing to make a deal, even as he remained skeptical about illegal immigrants brought to the country as children receiving amnesty.
“Many of the people in DACA, no longer very young, are far from ‘angels,'” he wrote. “Some are very tough, hardened criminals.”
Trump formally moved to end DACA in September 2017 but the decision was challenged in court.
In the past, the president offered to work out a deal with Congressional Democrats seeking to continue amnesty for DACA recipients, but it was difficult to do so as the future of the program was tied up in the courts.
Democrats and supporters are expected to rally at the Supreme Court on Tuesday to support the program.

Only a complete fool would believe that Trump is any more for American Legal workers than the Democrat Party for Billionaires and Banksters!

The latest ad from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) asks Trump to reject the mass illegal and legal immigration policies supported by Wall Street, corporate executives, and most specifically, the GOP mega-donor Koch brothers.
Efforts by the big business lobby, Chamber of Commerce, Koch brothers, and George W. Bush Center include increasing employment-based legal immigration that would likely crush the historic wage gains that Trump has delivered for America’s blue collar and working class citizens.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Silicon Valley investors are uniting with the Koch network’s consumer and industrial investors to demand a huge DACA amnesty

A handful of Republican and Democrat lawmakers are continuing to tout a plan that gives amnesty to nearly a million illegal aliens in exchange for some amount of funding for President Trump’s proposed border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Let’s briefly review the sordid history of DACA. DACA was a program concocted by the Obama administration to overcome the failure of Congress to pass a massive amnesty program known as Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the follow-up attempt to pass a massive amnesty program known as “The DREAM Act.” By Michael Cutler
The concept behind the DREAM Act and DACA was to exploit the well-known empathy and compassion Americans have for children. Both of those efforts were sold as means of helping children who were brought to the United States by their parents. By Michael Cutler

But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants and refreshes a resident population of roughly 1.5 million white-collar visa workers — including approximately one million H-1B workers — and approximately 500,000 blue-collar visa workers.
The government also prints out more than one million work permits for foreigners, tolerates about eight million illegal workers, and does not punish companies for employing the hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who sneak across the border or overstay their legal visas each year.
This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth for investors because it ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.

This policy of flooding the market with cheap, foreign, white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor also shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors, even as it also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, and hurts children’s schools and college educations. It also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions. The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the heartland to the coastal citiesexplodes rents and housing costsshrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces. Joe Walsh Will Primary Trump in 2020 — I’m Running Because Trump Is Unfit, ‘He’s Nuts’

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” former Rep. Joe Walsh said he was mounting a 2020 Republican primary challenge to President Donald Trump.
Walsh said, “I’m running because he’s unfit, somebody needs to step up, and there needs to be an alternative. The country is sick of this guy’s tantrum. He’s a child.”
He continued, “We’ve got a guy in the White House who is unfit, completely unfit to be president and it stuns me that nobody stepped up, nobody in the Republican party stepped up, because I’ll tell you what George, everybody believes in the Republican party, everybody believes he’s unfit,”
He added, “You can’t believe a word he says. Again, I don’t care about your politics. He’s nuts. He’s erratic. He’s cruel. He stokes bigotry.”

Conservative Immigration Hawk Joe Walsh May Primary Trump

President Donald Trump may face a 2020 GOP primary challenge from conservative talk radio show host, prior member of Congress, and anti-illegal immigration candidate endorsed by ALIPAC in 2010, Rep. Joe Walsh.
ALIPAC has been calling for a conservative GOP primary challenger to Trump due to Trump's numerous broken campaign promises on immigration issues and as a strategy to stop Trump's efforts this year to pass immigration reform Amnesty for illegals through his life long Democrat son-in-law and surrogate Jared Kushner.
Rep. Joe Walsh was endorsed and supported by ALIPAC in 2010 when he first ran for Congress as a successful Tea Party challenger in Illinois's 8th district because his federal candidate survey responses indicated he would uphold America's existing border and immigration laws while opposing Amnesty legislation! (View ALIPAC Survey)
When running for Congress, Walsh signed ALIPAC's pledge to...
"...oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters, thus destroying future borders of America. I will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, to insure the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress at the behest of America's citizenry. I understand that the failure of the Executive Branch to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws is depriving;ng all Americans of a Republican form of government and depriving our states of protection from invasion as mandated by the US Constitution. I intend to use the power of Congress to immediately remedy this problem that is costing many Americans their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, property, security, and sometimes their very lives."
Candidate Joe Walsh told ALIPAC in 2010 that he supported Arizona's tough state law SB 1070, deportation for illegal immigrants, and comprehensive immigration enforcement.
Video of Rep. Joe Walsh discussing illegal immigration
Immigration issue watchdog group NumbersUSA also gave Rep. Joe Walsh an A grade for his positions and votes on immigration matters in Washington. (View NumbersUSA Report Card for Walsh)
"Joe Walsh challenging Trump in the GOP primary would be a very welcome and needed campaign because the large numbers of Trump voters who have been highly disappointed by the President's numerous broken campaign promises on illegal immigration issues deserve to have a voice in 2020," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Joe Walsh could attract and rally the part of Trump's base that no longer believes the President's tough talk on immigration issues."
Since taking office, President Trump has broken or failed to fulfill more than ten top campaign promises regarding illegal immigration, which is probably why he keeps announcing hollow promises to end birthright citizenship to try to rally his base.

Trump is--

-- failing to secure the border,
-- failing to end Obama's DACA Amnesty,
-- failing to end birthright citizenship,
-- failing to build new miles of border wall,
-- failing to oppose Amnesty for illegals,
-- failing to oppose legal immigration increases,
-- failing to stop illegal alien caravans,
-- failing to end catch and release Presidential policies,
-- failing to stop sanctuary cities and illegal voters,
-- and failing to mass deport illegal immigrants as he promised voters last month, three months ago, and in 2016.

ALIPAC originally endorsed Trump, contributed to him, campaigned for him, rallied against Hillary Clinton, voted for Trump and attended Trump's inauguration but had to rescind the group's endorsement after it became clear was breaking his signature campaign promise to end Obama's unconstitutional DACA Amnesty for illegals. (Washington Times: Group Rescinds Endorsement)
ALIPAC believes that Rep. Joe Walsh challenging Trump in the 2020 GOP Primary would have the added benefit for American voters of decreasing the chances Trump will sign green card giveaway to China and India bill HB 1044 / S 386 and immigration reform Amnesty legislation Sen. Graham is rallying GOP globalists to join with Democrats to send to Trump's desk this year.
ALIPAC will seek information from the Joe Walsh Presidential campaign to determine if his views on illegal immigration and Amnesty remain the same or have changed.
For more information about Trump voters who would like to have a conservative choice on the ballot for President in the 2020 GOP and for Trump to return to his campaign promises on immigration, please visit www.ALIPAC.us

ANN COULTER: WILL THE GLOBALIST DEMOCRAT PARTY FOR BANKSTERS AND BILLIONAIRES DESTROY AMERICA?
I would also go to all of the working class that are in America, construction workers in particular. Their salaries have not just stagnated, they have gone down in the last 20 years. These are the least among us. We are the only ones not speaking out of self-interest. …
Most of the people who are advocating for open borders … they have a vested in interest in having either the cheap labor or the Democratic voters. Their neighborhoods aren’t the ones being overwhelmed. They get the cheap maids, the cheap nannies, and then they strut around like they’re Martin Luther King.
No, you are talking in your self-interest, Chamber of Commerce, and Koch brothers, and Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer. It’s Donald Trump and our side who are actually caring about our fellow Americans — the kids who are getting addicted to black tar heroin. …
The heroin problem in this country is 100 percent a problem of not having a wall on the border. And 70,000 Americans are dying every year. That’s more that died in the entire Vietnam War. That is a national emergency.  ANN COULTER

ANN COULTER EXPOSES TRUMP’S “WALL” HOAX

In fact, Trump is steadily moving in the precise opposite direction of what he promised.

Illegal immigration is on track to hit the highest levels in

more than a decade, and Trump has willfully decided to keep

amnesty advocates Jared, Ivanka, Mick Mulvaney, Marc

Short, and Mercedes Schlapp in the White House. For all his

talk about immigration, did he ever consider hiring people

who share his MAGA vision?
