  • Completion is delayed and not even neighboring diplomats have been updated
Jeff Bezos's $23million Washington mansion is nearing completion after three years of building work.
The Amazon supremo visited the site earlier this month to see the final stages of construction on his luxury home, which will have 11 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms.
The home was initially meant to be completed by August, but work is still ongoing and not even neighboring diplomats have been given an update.
Construction workers said Bezos had demanded that parts of the project be finished 'immediately' and wanted things done 'fast, fast, fast!', Washingtonian reported.
'You know - like Amazon. He wants Prime service in his own house,' one worker said.

Bezos reportedly arrived at the building site in his SUV on a visit to the former textile museum in Washington earlier this month.
Insiders say the Amazon and Washington Post owner has been there at least four times since he bought the property for $23million in 2016.
During the building work, two adjoining mansions are being converted into one family in a renovation reported to cost a further $12million.
The work is turning the property into Washington's largest home, with five living rooms, two kitchens and two libraries.
One person described the backyard designs as 'beautiful, just astonishing' while another said the house was 'gorgeous'.
Permits have also been approved for a series of indoor installations, including just over 1,000 light fittings.

One construction expert told Washingtonian that the project appeared to be 'in the home stretch'.
By the time builders had got down to lights and bathroom fittings they would be 'rounding third base,' he said.
Floor plans for the property include a media room with 'tiered seating' and a shaft for an elevator.
Bezos will use the property as an East Coast base to go with homes in California, Washington state, Texas and New York.
Living in Washington's wealthy Kalorama district, Bezos will have neighbors including former President Barack Obama and the Trump-Kushner family.

The area has a long history as home to government officials, Supreme Court justices, Treasury secretaries, and other powerful figures in government and business.
One of the two buildings was home to the Textile Museum until 2013, when it was moved to George Washington University.
Both mansions, known as the Pope and Wood buildings, are on the National Register of Historic Places.
Bezos's home is next door to the Woodrow Wilson House, where America's 28th President lived in the last years of his life after he left office in 1921.
A series of embassies are nearby, including the diplomatic missions of Turkey, Japan and the Republic of Ireland.
However, not even diplomatic staff have been given an updated timetable for the building work, it is claimed.
