Providing reparations to 11 to 22 million illegal aliens — as South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has said he supports — could potentially cost American taxpayers up to $2.2 trillion.
In a 2014 analysis by The Nation, Columbia University economist Suresh Naidu estimated that reparations could cost anywhere between $22,000 to $101,000 per illegal alien. Those costs are based on depressed and lost wages for illegal aliens taking American jobs in the workforce.
The largest estimate, in which $101,000 is given to every illegal alien, would mean American taxpayers are forced to pay $2.2 trillion for illegal alien reparations.
Should only reparations be given to the roughly eight million illegal aliens who are estimated to be in the U.S. workforce, American taxpayers would be billed about $808 billion.
During the PBS/Politico Democrat debate on Thursday evening, Buttigieg vowed to provide reparations to millions of illegal aliens in the U.S. — a plan that has been floated by the open borders lobby.

than $34,500 in federal funds which are spent on each unaccompanied minor
border crosser.
A study by Tom Wong of the
University of California at San Diego discovered that more than 25 percent of
DACA-enrolled illegal aliens in the program have anchor babies. That totals
about 200,000 anchor babies who are the children of DACA-enrolled illegal
aliens. This does not include the anchor babies of DACA-qualified illegal

result of an illegal alien population estimated at almost 3 million residents.
The annual expenditure of state and local tax dollars on services for that
population is $25.3 billion. That total amounts to a yearly burden of about
$2,370 for a household headed by a U.S. citizen.

The
number of Hispanics and Latinos employed hit a new record of 28,350,000 in
November, breaking the record set a month earlier, as the national
seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate for Hispanics and Latinos ticked up to
4.2% – from the record low set in September.
In
November, the unemployment rate for Hispanics and Latinos, aged 16 and
up, was 4.2%, up from 4.1% in October, up from its record low of
3.9% set in September. BLS began tracking Hispanic-Latino employment data
in 1973.
A record
28,350,000 Hispanics had jobs in November - the third straight
monthly record, following 28,282,000 Hispanics employed in
October, which broke the record of 28,152,000 employed set in
September. 29,587,000 Hispanics participated in the
workplace in November, up from 29,486,000 the previous month. Hispanics'
labor force participation rate was 67.4%, up from 67.3% in October.
The
number of unemployed Hispanics rose to 1,237,000 from 1,204,000 in
October, resulting in the uptick in the unemployment rate.

Buttigieg Commits to Reparations for Illegal Aliens, Not for African Americans

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg expressed support for giving illegal immigrants reparations on Thursday, but he stopped short of making the same promise to African Americans.
Buttigieg, who has struggled to make inroads with black voters in his quest to become commander in chief, was asked at the Democrat presidential primary debate if he would commit to giving “financial compensation” to illegal immigrants separated at the U.S.-Mexico border. When responding, the mayor not only asserted his administration would pay reparations, but also promised that illegal immigrant families separated at the border would have a “fast track to U.S. citizenship.”

“We have a moral obligation to make right what was broke,” Buttigieg said, proceeding to claim his tenure as mayor had thought him about the necessity of reforming the country’s immigration system.
When pressed further, the mayor asserted his commitment to reparations for illegal aliens, but stopped short of extending the same compensation to descendants of slavery.
Buttigieg, in particular, touted his support for federal legislation creating a commission to study the feasibility of reparations for black Americans. The mayor, however, did not say he favored such compensation, arguing the legacy of slavery was monetarily immeasurable. He said:
We’re talking about mending what was broke. We’re talking about the generational theft of the wealth of generations of African Americans and just crossing out a racist policy and replacing it with a neutral one is not enough to deliver a fallen harms compound just like $1 saved in its value compounds over time.
“So what is the value of $1 stolen,” Buttigieg added, before suggesting the U.S. government invest in minority owned business and historically black universities instead.
The comments come as the mayor has recently admitted he has struggled to understand the experience of many black Americans, despite leading a city that is nearly 30 percent African American for the past eight years.
Democrats Sneak Amnesty Power to Future President in 2020 Pentagon Bill

The 2020 Pentagon spending bill contains a camouflaged provision allowing any U.S. president to amnesty millions of illegal immigrants — regardless of the shock to Americans’ wages, workplaces, and communities, says a former immigration judge.
“It takes a little bit of digging (or wading) to get to Title X, Subtitle H, section 1099C on page 1,061 of NDAA 2020, which is captioned ‘Parole in Place for Members of the Armed Forces,'” says Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge who now works with the Center for Immigration Studies.
The critical language is hidden in the short section which apparently provides a modest immigration reward to foreign service members, saying:
(b) Sense Of Congress.—It is the sense of Congress that—(1) parole in place reinforces family unity;(2) disruption to servicemembers must be minimized, in order to faithfully execute their objectives;(3) separation of military families must be prevented;…(6) Congress reaffirms parole in place authority for the Secretary of Homeland Security.
The last line will be cited as legal authority for a future President to offer the “parole in place” to as many migrants as he might wish to provide, said Andrew:
Expect section 1099C(b)(1) and (6) of NDAA 2020 to be used by a future president to grant future amnesties. DACA and DAPA rested on the slim reed of “prosecutorial discretion”. The next administrative action to grant status to those who entered illegally, on the other hand, will set firmly on the rock of Congress’s “reaffirm[ation of] parole in place authority for the Secretary of Homeland Security.”… President Bernie Sanders is just waiting for the opportunity.
Current law and White House policy say “parole in place” can only be provided case-by-case, said Andrew.
When individual migrants are given the “parole in place” status, they can get legal work permits and also request an “Adjustment of Status” to get green cards and citizenship.
In June, Sen. Kamala Harris promised to use the case-by-case parole power to provide an amnesty to millions of illegal migrants, according to Huffpost.com:
Many of the country’s roughly 2 million Dreamers would gain a pathway to citizenship under a plan released Wednesday by 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who would use executive action to break through congressional deadlock.
In a plan that reflects the creative legal thinking of California’s former attorney general, Harris would reinstate the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and remove the age restrictions on applying. But unlike the original program, which gives work authorizations and provides deportation relief to unauthorized migrants who arrived as children, the plan would open up a pathway to citizenship without requiring Congress to pass legislation.…Under the proposed plan, Harris would use executive action to grant Dreamers “parole-in-place” and retroactively issue them work authorizations. That legal exception, carved out in the Immigration and Nationality Act but not typically used for Dreamers in the past, would allow them to apply for green cards through a direct family member or employer. Those who obtain legal permanent residence are allowed to apply for citizenship.
The GOP’s congressional staffers are paid to find and delete legal time bombs, such as the parole-in-place language before the law is approved. Once signed into law, it will remain law unless several determined GOP legislators get Congress to delete the amnesty loophole.
“Somehow, a Kamala Harris talking point is about to become law, introduced before our very eyes through its initial application to a very select and sympathetic group of aliens,” Andrew wrote. “You can expect it to get much, much bigger and blossom into a full grown amnesty at some point during a future administration, likely sooner rather than later.”
