Based on information obtained from witnesses, police identified the suspects in the groom's brutal killing as brothers Rony Aristides Castaneda Ramirez, 28, and 19-year-old Josue Daniel Castaneda Ramirez.
According to the Chino Police Department, the siblings did not know Melgoza, but lived not far from the home of his wife's family in the 13200 block of 17th Street where the wedding reception was being held, and showed up at the celebration uninvited, reported KTLA5.
The wedding crashers allegedly started a fight with some of the guests and were asked to leave, which they did, only to return a short time later armed with baseball bats, according to Melgoza's brother Andy Velasquez.
Velasquez told NBC Los Angeles through sobs that his brother tried to confront the 'cowards,' who then pulled him away and killed him.
Two other people attending the wedding celebration sustained minor injuries in the earlier confrontation with the Castaneda Ramirez brothers.

A 29-year-old auto theft suspect suffered significant burn injuries after the South San Jose home he broke into to hide from police caught fire Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, authorities said. San Jose Fire Department

SAN JOSE – An auto theft suspect suffered significant burn injuries when the South San Jose home he broke into to hide from police caught fire Monday night, authorities said.

Raul Rodriguez

The episode started about 4 p.m. when officers of the Santa Clara County Regional Auto Theft Task Force tried to stop a stolen vehicle near Lewis and Senter roads, said Deputy Jessica Gabaldon of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Gabaldon said a man, later identified as 29-year-old Raul Anthony Rodriguez, got out of the car and ran.
Task force members cordoned off the area and learned Rodriguez had allegedly broken into a home on the 600 block of Santee River Court. The homeowner fled unharmed.
Rodriguez refused to leave the residence, Gabaldon said. San Jose police arrived to help task force members.
Around 5:50 p.m., the home caught fire, and firefighters were called, said San Jose fire Capt. Brad Cloutier.
Crews had to wait until the scene was secure to move in and start fighting the blaze, Cloutier said. By that point, the home was fully engulfed, leading firefighters to call a second alarm.
Gabaldon said firefighters pulled Rodriguez from the home about 6:15 p.m. He was rushed to a hospital with significant burn injuries, Cloutier said, and is expected to survive.
No one else was injured in the fire.
Once he is released from the hospital, Rodriguez will be booked into county jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle; resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer; and residential burglary. Rodriguez was also wanted on a $25,000 burglary warrant.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Cloutier said he expected firefighters to remain at the smoldering scene well into the evening. Santee River Court, meanwhile, was closed to vehicles but open to pedestrians.

PUBLISHED:  | UPDATED:
CAMPBELL — Three men have been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a man multiple times back in August before fleeing the scene, authorities said.
Around 1:18 a.m. on Aug. 28, Campbell police responded to reports of a stabbing at a Shell station on East Hamilton Avenue, where they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds and rushed him to the hospital.
Within about two days, Campbell and San Jose police identified and arrested suspects Jose Savala, 36, and Alexis Hernandez, 22, both of San Jose, police said in a news release Friday.
Security footage showed that the man had been attacked by three people, not one person, as police originally indicated. He survived the stabbing and was later released from care.
By December, investigators had identified Campbell resident Jose Gonzalez, 26, as the third suspect. On Dec. 11, police arrested him and served a search warrant at his home.
The incident appeared to stem from a dispute between rival gangs, said Campbell police spokesman Sgt. Dan Livingston, which meant that investigators kept the details of the August arrests under wraps until now.
Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to call 408-871-5190, or anonymously at 408-866-5191.
