Much of the day Thursday at the impeachment show was spent on how innocent the Bidens are of any wrongdoing re: Ukraine. Rep. Sylvia Garcia had fancy charts and graphs to demonstrate her point: There was absolutely nothing wrong with Hunter Biden trading on his name to make $50 - 80k a month on the board of a verified corrupt gas company in Ukraine, nor was there anything wrong with Joe's quid pro quo, that the prosecutor investigating that company be fired or a billion dollars in aid would not be forthcoming.

Perhaps Rep. Garcia should have read Peter Schweizer's new book Profiles in Corruption before assembling her power-point lecture. The Bidens are among the most corrupt politicians in the US. And Schweizer's sources, unlike those of our mainstream media, are not anonymous but hard copy documents. She might have waited a bit longer for the documents now released that show that Obama met with Ukrainian prosecutors, US embassy officials and faux-whistleblower Eric Ciaramella in January 2016 to discuss Burisma and Hunter Biden's role there. George Kent, the Democrats' own witness, had voiced his concern about Hunter Biden's position there but was rebuffed by a Biden aide. Ciaramella? Rep. Garcia's overarching defense of the Bidens will very likely come back to haunt the congresswoman from Texas as will Biden's memo to the media not to report on or address the "conspiracy theory" that there was something corrupt about his family's dealings with Ukraine and Burisma. Biden obviously thinks he can control what the left media will investigate; he thinks this because it has always worked in the past. That is probably why the NYT never reported on the Obama WH meeting with the Ukrainian prosecutors who were investigating Hunter Biden and Burisima and had been since 2014.
Garcia then contended that President Trump made "the phone call" in July, the transcript of which we are all familiar with, because he was threatened by Biden's rise in the polls! Does any sentient person believe that? Of course not. If there is anyone who knows polls are meaningless it is Donald Trump and his supporters. And Joe Biden was never, will never be, a threat to Trump's re-election. He does not know what state he is in from day to day. He thinks we don't need "standing armies" and that we should be "helping” communist China!
The man is dangerously oblivious of all things relevant to our national security. It is hard to imagine Biden even going the distance and becoming the Democrat nominee. So Rep. Garcia's entire theory is seriously flawed. We also all know, as do they, that what Trump was concerned with was not the 2020 election but the 2016 election, since Ukraine's interference to benefit Clinton was beginning to be reported, specifically by Politico in January 2017.
But Garcia opened the door even wider than Schiff did to further discussion of the Bidens' financial malfeasance. They will have a very difficult time explaining, let alone defending, the many get-rich-quick schemes in which they were involved.
Meanwhile, the bobble-heads on CNN and MSNBC wax rhapsodic on Schiff's theatrical debut: "dazzling" (Jeffrey Toobin), "powerful and forceful" Wolf Blitzer, "virtuoso performance (Joe Scarborough); there are more and they are all distastefully obsequious.
This insincere kind of "Flattery corrupts both the receiver and the giver." (Burke) Schiff and his fans on the Left should not take any comfort from such benighted, self-serving sources.
Then there is Rudy Guiliani. The splenetic left media love to mock him but he is about to drop a boatload of info on the corruption in Ukraine that is not going to land on Trump but on the Bidens and all those diplo-thugs who think they should be running American foreign policy rather than the President.
The most mystifying aspect of the Left's obsession with removing President Trump from office is what exactly is its motivation. Yes, prior to the election they were certain they could derail Trump, so yes, they were stupefied when Hillary lost. But everyone knows by now that the Russia hoax was just that, a hoax cobbled together with a cast of characters from the Clinton campaign and her hired guns (Fusion GPS and Perkins-Coie) to the reprobates at the upper realms of the FBI, the DOJ and CIA. None of their investigations have yielded fruit and still they keep digging the hole in which they have already found themselves.
What is it they so maniacally fear about this man who, in spite of them, has accomplished so much good in just three years? Is it his promise to drain the swamp which would mean uncovering all their shady money deals that have for generations made them all wealthy while in office? Perhaps. It is more likely that because he is not a politician but an authentic American patriot who believes this country was founded on great principles, is still a grand and successful experiment, and that but for the intervening presidencies of Marxist socialist utopians like Obama, can be great again. - Hillary,
through her family and foundation, got huge amounts of speech money and
donations from foreign countries. Russia, for example, got Uranium for
their generosity. (If there is any doubt about whether they were
kickbacks, that should have disappeared when the donations dried up and
speech fees dropped or dried up when she no longer could return favors)
- Obama
shipped over $1 billion in taxpayer money in unmarked bills, to Iran
tyrants, who still pledge death to America, to get a deal.
- Obama
dictatorially stopped a years’ long investigation into a billion dollar a
year drug running ring by terrorists to appease Iranian tyrants because he
was more concerned about his legacy than the safety, health and lives of
the American people.
- Hillary
and the DNC paying over $10 billion to buy a fake dossier from a foreign
national to destroy Trump. It appears they didn't think they could beat
him based on the truth or their policy proposals.
- Obama
and his administration, including the FBI, Justice Department, the
intelligence agencies and the State Department, using the fake dossier as
a source for FISA warrants and to infiltrate the Trump campaign with
informants. (they obviously didn't believe their record or policies would
win the votes). Instead of the media and other Democrats caring about this

- The
Obama Administration, at the Justice Department, EPA and CFPB using
taxpayer money for political purposes and political supporters by creating
slush funds from money confiscated from businesses that they pretended
would go to victims.
If the media and Democrats want to investigate anything, how
about a possible corrupt payback from Netflix to Obama? Obama gave the very
wealthy Netlfix, Google and others huge financial benefits with net neutrality
and Netflix gave the Obama's a huge contract even though they had no video
production expertise or experience. It is similar to paying Biden's son huge
amounts of money with no expertise.
But now when President Trump may have said something to a
foreign leader about investigating corruption by Biden's son, that is supposed
to be an impeachable offense. Shouldn't a President want political corruption
by politicians to be investigated? Shouldn't the media and other Democrats be
more concerned about the corruption itself than the phone call?
From this story, it appears that the media and other
Democrats believe that every phone call that Trump makes to a foreign leader
should become public knowledge if any bureaucrat makes a whistle blower report
when they disagree with something the president does. That would certainly be
cumbersome, and foreign leaders would no longer want to have discussions if
every discussion could be made public.
Elizabeth Warren says she wants to get rid of corruption but
not once have I heard her complain about the massive corruption during the
Obama years or at her precious CFPB, so she really doesn't care.

The New York Times has been trying to
dismiss the arrest of Ed Buck, a Democratic fatcat who had a thing
for injecting young black men with drugs before paying them for sex, as a
"small-time Democratic donor," but the facts on the ground suggest he
was a rather big one. And maybe that's a function of the paper's desire to
protect its masters, the Democrats. They aren't known as Democratic operatives with
bylines for nothing.
While Buck once identified himself as a conservative Republican,
according to the Los Angeles Times, he became a national figure when he
spearheaded the effort to impeach Arizona’s Republican Gov. Evan Mecham in the
1980s. He later made large donations to Democrats, including more than $500,000
since 2007, according to court documents filed by Moore's mother in a wrongful
death suit pertaining to her son.
At the
federal level, those include contributions to prominent Washington lawmakers as
well as 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. At the local
level, Buck has donated more than $51,000 to Los Angeles city and county
officials,
candidates, and affiliated parties dating to 2008.
In 2012, Buck
contributed $100 to the campaign for Jackie Lacey for Los Angeles County District Attorney, and four years later, gave $1,400
to Eric
Garcetti for
Mayor of Los Angeles. Both Lacey and Garcetti still hold their titles.
The highest
contribution was $13,000, according to the court papers, to former West
Hollywood Mayor John Duran when he ran for county supervisor in 2014.
That doesn't sound too small-time to me.
And in fact, his ideological
switcheroo sounds as though he found the Democrats a more suitable protection
racket for his perversions than the Republicans. Who needs political beliefs
when the real belief is perversion and that's what he needs protected?
It's actually part of the pattern
with these scandals. Pervert with big vices donates cash to Democrats to ensure
his protection from the cops. Harvey Weinstein knew it, that was what his
Planned Parenthood and other woke cause donations bought for him - a capacity
to prey on young actresses trying to win roles. Jeffrey Epstein knew it too,
donating to leftist Bill Clinton causes in order to buy enough influence to
enable him to prey on underage girls with impunity, spiriting them to his
pervert island for himself along with his highly connected Democrat
buddies. Both had added payoffs in that Weinstein then had the power to
threaten actresses and reporters who threatened to tell on him, while
Epstein had blackmail material on very powerful people which kept them on
his string.
Now we have the sorry case of Ed Buck, a
creep who enjoyed paying for sex with young black men while poisoning them
with drugs, and then relying on his political donations to ensure the cops
looked the other way. Note that quite a few of his donations were to Los

racism, but on issues of imperialist foreign policy.

Lindsey Graham: If No One Investigates the Bidens, I Will

Lindsey Graham 2.0 is back. Sure, he caught some flak from conservatives for congratulating the Democrats' lead impeachment manager Adam Schiff the other night following the first day of opening arguments. But he's not going soft. At a press conference on Friday, Graham demanded that the media stop the "double standard" and start holding the Bidens accountable.
"He allowed his son to be a member of the most corrupt company in Ukraine," Graham said of former Vice President and current presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Biden led the anti-corruption campaign in Ukraine while serving under President Obama, yet years later it came to light that his son Hunter had sat on the board of the corrupt Ukrainian gas company, Burisma Holdings. President Trump asked new-Ukrainian President Zelensky last July to investigate the Bidens' ties to Burisma. Yet, it was that phone call that led to the impeachment inquiry against Trump, with prosecutors alleging he coerced a foreign power to help him politically.
"I think if a Republican had done this, there would be no debate that we need to look at how did this happen," Graham noted of the Bidens' Ukraine scandal. "If you didn't know your son was doing this, how closely were you looking at corruption."
"What Trump is frustrated with including me is nobody in your business spent 15 minutes telling us what Hunter Biden did and if it is good foreign policy," Graham sounded off.
"The president believes there is a double standard," the senator went on. "I think the president believes he went through holy Hell and I believe the same thing. What he wants to do is get to the truth. Can you imagine if a Republican had done this? You need to ask yourself the question. The media as an institution, would you not have people on the ground wanting to know what his son did when he contacted the State Department?"
Graham continued to directly address the press.
"The president is frustrated and I am frustrated that we live in a country where only one side gets looked at," he said. "And I am telling you now that I am going to look at this if nobody else does. That doesn’t make me a Russian agent."
We don't need to call Joe and Hunter Biden to testify, Graham argued, because they've already "got enough from the public record" to know that there is a "there there."
On Thursday, Sen. Graham emphasized that he "loved" Joe Biden, but he just wants to see the same standard.
