SOTOMAYOR, SELECTED BY THE OBOMB BECAUSE SHE'S A LA RAZA SUPREMACIST FASCIST HEAPS PRAISE ON S.F. CHESA BOUDIN - QUIT YOUR JOB SONIA IF YOU WANT TO BE IN POLITICS! THEN WE CAN HANG YOUR ASS AT THE VOTING BOOTHS!

SOTOYMAYOR IS A CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE MEX FASCIST PARTY OF LA RAZA 'The Race' NOW CALLING ITSELF UNIDOSus.

Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc. and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet)

Wise Latina' Sotomayor heaps praise on San Francisco's new far-left DA, Chesa Boudin

San Francisco, whether it knows it or not, should be bracing to get even more crime-ridden and hellish than it already is with the questionably rigged election of Chesa Boudin as the city's chief prosecutor.
Boudin, recall, vows to ignore quality-of life crimes; drop gang enhancement charges on gangsters; and pressure victims of violent crimes to opt for "restorative justice" instead of jail time, letting crooks off if they apologize.  What could go wrong?
Not a problem for Wise Latina herself, Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor, who horned in on Boudin's inauguration, sending this far-to-the-far-leftist an unprecedented message of pride and praise:
Chesa, my court sessions resume next week so I am unable to join your inauguration ceremony. I sent you this message to tell you how much I admire you, and to wish you well in your new endeavors.
...and...
Your personal strength and commitment to reforming and improving the criminal justice system is a testament to the person you are and the role model you will continue to be for so many.
Chesa, you have undertaken a remarkable challenge today. I hope you reflect as a great beacon to many, and the road to accomplishing what you have set out to do will be daunting. Nevertheless, the city of San Francisco will be so very well served by a man whose life creed is believing, as you told me 'We are all safer when we uplift victims, hold everyone accountable for their actions, and do so with empathy and compassion.'
There's plenty more to gag about in the entire text of the message, transcribed in the San Francisco Chronicle, here.
Three ways to unpack this Sotomayor glurge:
One, it's pretty unprofessional, which is sorry stuff coming from a supposedly straight-arrow Supreme Court justice.  Not only is Boudin an elected official well outside the realm of supposedly impartial judges, but he could easily come into conflict with judges as a partisan prosecutor.  His interests may well conflict with those of judges because they're not the same interests, and he sure as heck isn't about to be impartial.  We already know he's partial to crooks.  According to National Review's Ed Whelan:
Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it strikes me as highly unusual that a sitting Supreme Court justice — or any federal judge, for that matter — would publicly lavish such praise on an elected official, especially in the absence of a previous working relationship or close friendship that would give her a special basis for offering insights into his character. In fact, the only similar example that comes readily to mind is the troublingly partisan public cheerleading that Sotomayor, then on the Second Circuit, engaged in over the election of President Obama. But if anyone thinks I'm overlooking other examples, please let me know. (Statements at retirement ceremonies would seem to be readily distinguishable, but I'd still be interested in them.)
I also don't think the fact that Boudin's position is legal or prosecutorial rather than purely political makes Sotomayor's embrace of him okay.
Two, it's nonsense.  Sotomayor paints the rich, white, cosseted Boudin, who grew up with rich step-parents in the seat of luxury in Chicago, and then parsed their knowledge and connections to secure a very privileged spot for himself — as a victim.  He was a victim, but a weird one — a victim whose step-parents were pillars of the establishment.  Those step-parents, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, had been two radical far-left terrorists who, unlike his dad, got let off for their crimes and then went on to secure fancy university teaching professorships, something young Chesa benefited from as other kids didn't.  "Guilty as hell, free as a bird," as Ayers put it.  That's not exactly an advertisement for the success of justice or rule of law; it's an advertisement for lawbreaking and the failures of justice when leftists are around.
Yet in Sotomayor's world, Chesa's a victim and therefore a hero — and a hero in need of some kind of praise and encouragement, despite the guy being nearly 40 years old and well past the needs-a-mentor stage.  Victim = Hero.  She speaks of this guy's visiting his parents in jail as proof of his privation, yet there's nothing victim-y about it.  Boudin shares his parents' exact values, which is why Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez took such a shine to him as radical royalty.  Boudin's prison trips were more likely indoctrination sessions than burdensome visits.
Three, the whole thing is partisan, not a shared commitment to public service.  Sotomayor is a far leftist, and reputedly a stupid one, unable to keep her partisanship to herself.  The last time she was in the public eye she said she wanted to break a baseball bat over her fellow Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia for saying things she didn't agree with.  Now instead of sticking with her profession, she's advocating for solidarity among far-leftists.  This is bad stuff.  What it shows is just how unfit she is for her office and how unfit Boudin is, too.
This doesn't look good.

“In Mexico, a recent Zogby poll declared that the vast majority of Mexican citizens hate Americans. [22.2] Mexico is a country saturated with racism, yet in denial, having never endured the social development of a Civil Rights movement like in the US--Blacks are harshly treated while foreign Whites are often seen as the enemy. [22.3] In fact, racism as workplace discrimination can be seen across the US anywhere the illegal alien Latino works--the vast majority of the workforce is usually strictly Latino, excluding Blacks, Whites, Asians, and others.”

Previous generations of immigrants did not believe they were racially superior to Americans. That is the view of La Raza Cosmica, by Jose Vasconcelos, Mexico’s former education minister and a presidential candidate. According to this book, republished in 1979 by the Department of Chicano Studies at Cal State LA, students of Scandinavian, Dutch and English background are dullards, blacks are ugly and inferior, and those “Mongols” with the slanted eyes lack enterprise. VIVA LA RAZA SUPREMACY?
The comparison to the Nazi Party is well deserved. La Raza openly supports pushing all but Latino Americans out of a portion of the United States (ethnic cleansing), they call for 'Reconquista' or the re-conquest of the American Southwest by Mexico (the re-occupation of the Sudetanland), and the establishment of 'Atzlan' which is the utopian all-Latino version of the American Southwestern states (Adolf Hitler planned to called his utopia Germania).
"Despite the fact that the majority of documented hispanics oppose illegal immigration, as do the majority of Americans, Aztlan and La Raza race hate groups have become the self-appointed voice for a separatist movement that threatens a violent overthrow of the Constitutional system and a barbaric program of ethnic cleansing. FIFTEEN THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT LA RAZA “THE RACE”
by Michelle Malkin
Only in America could critics of a group called "The Race" be labeled racists. Such is the triumph of left-wing identity chauvinists, whose aggressive activists and supine abettors have succeeded in redefining all opposition as "hate."
Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.
Here are 15 things you should know about "The Race":
15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.
14."The Race" demands in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding U.S. citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.
13. "The Race" vehemently opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state and federal authorities.
12. "The Race" opposes a secure fence on the southern border.
11. "The Race" joined the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in a failed lawsuit attempt to prevent the feds from entering immigration information into a key national crime database -- and to prevent local police officers from accessing the data.
10. "The Race" opposed the state of Oklahoma's tough immigration-enforcement-first laws, which cut off welfare to illegal aliens, put teeth in employer sanctions and strengthened local-federal cooperation and information sharing.
9. "The Race" joined other open-borders, anti-assimilationists and sued to prevent Proposition 227, California's bilingual education reform ballot initiative, from becoming law.
8. "The Race" bitterly protested common-sense voter ID provisions as an "absolute disgrace."
7. "The Race" has consistently opposed post-9/11 national security measures at every turn.
6. Former "Race" president Raul Yzaguirre, Hillary Clinton's Hispanic outreach adviser, said this: "U.S. English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks." He was referring to U.S. English, the nation's oldest, largest citizens' action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States. "The Race" also pioneered Orwellian open-borders Newspeak and advised the Mexican government on how to lobby for illegal alien amnesty while avoiding the terms "illegal" and "amnesty."
5. "The Race" gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA). The late GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood rightly characterized the organization as "a radical racist group … one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West."
4. "The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."
3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."
2. "The Race" has perfected the art of the PC shakedown at taxpayer expense, pushing relentlessly to lower home loan standards for Hispanic borrowers, reaping millions in federal "mortgage counseling" grants, seeking special multimillion-dollar earmarks and partnering with banks that do business with illegal aliens.
1. "The Race" thrives on ethnic supremacy -- and the elite sheeple's unwillingness to call it what it is. As historian Victor Davis Hanson observes: "[The] organization's very nomenclature 'The National Council of La Raza' is hate speech to the core. Despite all the contortions of the group, Raza (as its Latin cognate suggests) reflects the meaning of 'race' in Spanish, not 'the people' -- and that's precisely why we don't hear of something like 'The National Council of the People,' which would not confer the buzz notion of ethnic, racial and tribal chauvinism."
The fringe is the center. The center is the fringe. Viva La Raza.

THIS FUCKER IS WORSE THAN LA RAZA AND M.E.Ch.A. MEMBER CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL XAVIER BECERRA!

Judge whose sister heads La Raza rules 130-year law against encouraging illegal immigrants is unconstitutional

https://www.conservativereview.com/news/judge-whose-sister-heads-la-raza-rules-130-year-law-encouraging-illegal-immigrants-unconstitutional/

Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”
KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1324, the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015.

This law has been on the books in some form for over 130 years, and numerous federal courts have upheld convictions based on §1324. Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc. and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet) is a federal judge on the very Ninth Circuit Court from which he drew this opinion. Judge Mary Murguia once recused herself from a trial involving pro-enforcement Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of her sister’s leadership of La Raza. Carlos should have done the same thing this week in this case, which involves a law that directly conflicts with the work with the open-borders groups his family is associated with.
Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM.
This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.
The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!
The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.
Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” (United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999).) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”
So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.
The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law. We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?
Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy.
Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem. The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

ALIEN NATION: Secrets of the Invasion
Why America's government invites rampant illegal immigration
It's widely regarded as America's biggest problem: Between 12 and 20 million aliens (MOST SOURCES SUGGEST THERE ARE MUCH MORE LIKELY NEARLY 40 MILLION ILLEGALS HERE NOW) – including large numbers of criminals, gang members and even terrorists – have entered this nation illegally, with countless more streaming across our scandalously unguarded borders daily.
The issue polarizes the nation, robs citizens of jobs, bleeds taxpayers, threatens America's national security and dangerously balkanizes the country into unassimilated ethnic groups with little loyalty or love for America's founding values. Indeed, the de facto invasion is rapidly transforming America into a totally different country than the one past generations have known and loved.
And yet – most Americans have almost no idea what is really going on, or why it is happening.
While news reports depict demonstrations and debates, and while politicians promise "comprehensive border security programs," no real answers ever seem to emerge.
But there are answers. Truthful answers. Shocking answers.
In its groundbreaking May edition, WND's acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine reveals the astounding hidden agendas, plans and people behind America's immigration nightmare.
Titled "ALIEN NATION," the issue is subtitled "SECRETS OF THE INVASION: Why government invites rampant illegal immigration." Indeed, it reveals pivotal secrets very few Americans know. For example:
Did you know that the powerfully influential Council on Foreign Relations – often described as a “shadow government" – issued a comprehensive report last year laying out a five-year plan for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security community" with a common "outer security perimeter"?
Roughly translated: In the next few years, according to the 59-page report titled "Building a North American Community," the U.S. must be integrated with the socialism, corruption, poverty and population of Mexico and Canada. "Common perimeter" means wide-open U.S. borders between the U.S., Mexico and Canada. As Phyllis Schlafly reveals in this issue of Whistleblower: "This CFR document asserts that President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin 'committed their governments' to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005. The three adopted the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America' and assigned 'working groups' to fill in the details. It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American Summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet 'vigilantes' on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona."
The CFR report – important excerpts of which are published in Whistleblower – also suggests North American elitists begin getting together regularly, and presumably secretly, "to buttress North American relationships, along the lines of the Bilderberg or Wehrkunde conferences, organized to support transatlantic relations." The Bilderberg and Wehrkunde conferences are highly secret conclaves of the powerful. For decades, there have been suspicions that such meetings were used for plotting the course of world events and especially the centralization of global decision-making.
Did you know that radical immigrant groups – including the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) and the National Council of La Raza (La Raza) – not only share a revolutionary agenda of conquering America's southwest, but they also share common funding sources, notably the Ford and Rockefeller foundations?
''California is going to be a Hispanic state," said Mario Obeldo, former head of MALDEF. "Anyone who does not like it should leave." And MEChA's goal is even more radical: an independent ''Aztlan,'' the collective name this organization gives to the seven states of the U.S. Southwest – Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. So why would the Rockefeller and Ford foundations support such groups? Joseph Farah tells the story in this issue of Whistleblower.
Why have America's politicians – of both major parties – allowed the illegal alien invasion of this nation to continue for the last 30 years unabated? With al-Qaida and allied terrorists promising to annihilate major U.S. cities with nuclear weapons, with some big-city hospital emergency rooms near closure due to the crush of so many illegals, with the rapid spread throughout the U.S. of MS-13, the super-violent illegal alien gang – with all this and more, why do U.S. officials choose to ignore the laws of the land and the will of the people to pursue, instead, policies of open borders and lax immigration enforcement?
The answers to all this and much more are in Whistleblower's "ALIEN NATION" issue.
Is there hope? Or is America lost to a demographic invasion destined to annihilate its traditional Judeo-Christian culture, and to the ever-growing likelihood that nuclear-armed jihadists will cross our porous borders and wreak unthinkable destruction here?
There most definitely is hope, according to this issue of Whistleblower. Although most politicians of both major political parties have long since abdicated their responsibility for securing America's borders and dealing effectively with the millions already here illegally, there are a few exceptions – most notably Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo.
May's Whistleblower includes an exclusive sneak preview of Tancredo's forthcoming blockbuster book, "In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America’s Border and Security." In an extended excerpt, Whistleblower presents Tencredo's expert and inspired analysis of exactly how to solve the nation's most vexing problem.

THE AZTLAN INVASION & THE LA RAZA FASCIST PARTY FOR MEXICAN SUPREMACY
“The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.”
MULTICULTURALISM, IMMIGRATION AND AZTLAN
By Maria Hsia Chang Professor of Political Science, University of Nevada Reno
One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.
Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.
How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."
That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication,
which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."
Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."
A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."
For Rodolfo Acuna, author of Occupied America: The Chicano's Struggle Toward Liberation, probably the most widely assigned text in U.S. Chicano Studies programs, the Anglo-American invasion of Mexico was "as vicious as that of Hitler's invasion of Poland and other Central European nations...." The book also includes a map showing "the Mexican republic" in 1822 reaching up into Kansas and Oklahoma, and including within it Utah, Nevada, and everything west and south of there
"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!
‘Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and Destroying America

By Frank Gaffney, Jr.

Center for Security Policy, February 20, 2018

Now that official Washington’s political oxygen is being consumed by the latest school shooting, it’s easy to forget abiding disagreements about immigration policy. Yet, until supplanted by the current children’s crusade for gun control, it was the so-called “DACA kids” who had to be accommodated with a massive amnesty.

Just as we seem determined to ignore factors in mass murders like the pop culture’s role in inculcating a lust for violence – the more, the better, what passes for debate about illegal aliens is increasingly unmoored from any discussion of their impact on American society.

It’s time to reprise a 2003 warning by Democratic former Colorado governor Dick Lamm about a “secret plan” that is destroying our country through the combined effects of unchecked immigration, the “diversity” agenda and abandoning our national principle of “out of many, one.” This lunacy must end.

Xavier Becerra
As Fox News pointed out in a 2003 interview on the Sean Hannitty Show, Becerra has a devout relationship with MEChA, as well as The Fabian Society. But don’t go looking for the clip; it is apparent Becerra’s people have been busy at work cleaning up his inline reputation and record. KATY GRIMES

Becerra has publicly defended MEChA, even though the Chicano supremacist group evangelizes discrimination against non-Hispanics and calls for the killing of Border Patrol “pigs.” MEChA’s rallying cry is: “For the race, everything; For those outside the race, nothing.” KATY GRIMES

As Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán, we are a nationalist movement of Indigenous Gente that lay claim to the land that is ours by birthright. As a nationalist movement we seek to free our people from the exploitation of an oppressive society that occupies our land. Thus, the principle of nationalism serves to preserve the cultural traditions of La Familia de La Raza and promotes our identity as a Chicana/Chicano Gente.

CA Marxists Ramping Up Destabilization of the Golden State
Immediately following the November election, California Governor Jerry Brown appointed U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra (D) to replace State Attorney General Kamala Harris, who won election to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer.
Many wonder why Xavier Becerra was chosen by Brown. But all anyone has to do is peek into the radical California Legislature, and fanatical Gov. Jerry Brown, to see the trend of militant Marxist, Socialist, Jesuit, Liberation Theology, Latino activism on the increase.
The goal by these extremists in California is to push the state, and eventually the country to such a crisis, a reorganization is the only cure. That is what Communists do. Modern day “Progressives” as they like to be called, like Brown and Becerra, refer to themselves as Multiculturalists and Progressives. But as history very clearly demonstrates, using Marxism as the cure to anything in society is a very dark fairytale.
The term “progressive” is simply another way of saying “socialist” or “Marxist;” But it’s as important to recognize how liberation theology factors into the radical Latino lawmakers: In Latin America, the big enemy is not Marxism, it is capitalism. And the main enemy of liberation theology, according to its founder, the Rev. Gustavo Gutierrez of Peru, and many of its adherents, is the United States–Michael Novak, the author of the 1984 ”Freedom With Justice: Catholic Social Thought and Liberal Institutions.” Novak describes liberation theology as “gaining its excitement from flirting with Marxist thought and speech.”

According to a NewsMax account on Free Republic:
“I got to be the first in my family to go to college” thanks to MEChA, Becerra said.
Hannity repeatedly pressed Becerra on why he would belong to a group that preaches racial discrimination, prompting the Bustamente backer to complain, “Are you calling me a racist?”
When the Fox host pointed out that MEChA favors the return of California to Mexico, Becerra still declined to criticize the group, saying, “I got a lot of help from people in the organization who have promoted education for kids and who continue to do that. … What I know is what they do.”
MEChA is a Hispanic separatist organization (400 chapters nationwide and in many high schools) that encourages anti-American activities, civil disobedience, and romanticizes Mexican claims to the “lost Territories” of California and the Southwestern United States, in a Chicano country called “Aztlan.” The official national symbol of MEChA is an eagle holding a machete-like weapon and a stick of dynamite.
The Fabian Society and Fabian Socialism uses the teachings of John Maynard Keynes as their catechism of political economy. Like Marxism, it embraced the idea of a Communist Utopia, where the State owned everything and controlled every aspect of the public’s lives. They have installed Fabian Socialism and Keynesism as the new faith, both in the Universities and in Government bureaucracy. Keynes supported statism and socialism, and managed and planning economies. U.S. President Barack Obama has long advocated the use of Keynesian economic concepts — despite the fact that John Maynard Keynes was incompetent, a fraud, and accused of being a pedophile.
These groups have worked diligently behind the scenes to implement their Socialist policies into our government, labor unions and throughout academia. They have infected the working class, demanding higher and higher wages, resulting often in welfare and other government handouts once their employers are ruined. They use illegal immigrants as messengers of their ideology, demeaning patriotism, and America. And they have manipulated the political process so that only those candidates well-versed in Marxism receive the attention of the corporate Media.
Illegal Immigration and Marxism
Even though the law doesn’t allow them to vote, illegal immigrants are changing the landscape of the U.S. government, especially in California, by impacting the census’ through mass migration. California allows illegal aliens to vote.
Former Mechista Rep. Xavier Becerra, the U.S. congressman for California’s 31st District, says what all leftist Latino lawmakers say: their (illegal) constituents still pay taxes and contribute to society, therefore they should vote. — “An individual doesn’t have to be a citizen to pay taxes – you pay taxes if you work in this country, you pay taxes if you purchase something,” Becerra said.
Led by Los Angeles County Federation of Labor head Maria Elena Durazo, a group of socialist and Communist California labor officials and Democrat Party operatives created a program to target Latinos and immigrants (illegal and legal) to permanently drive California politics far to the left, Democrat political consultant Richie Ross wrote in CalBuzz in 2010. Ross openly boasts of targeting the Latino community’s fear of anti-illegal immigration measures, to drive the community even further into the arms of the Democratic Party.
In 1994, then-Governor Pete Wilson put Proposition 187 on the ballot.  It was called the nation’s first anti-immigrant initiative, but in fact the goal of Proposition 187 was to make illegal aliens ineligible for public benefits including public social services, public health care services, and public school education. It came in the middle of a deep recession in California and was popular partly because the fiscal estimate from the California Legislative Analyst’s Office said that it would save the state about $200 million/year.
Latinos and Communists
The two most significant Marxist groups in the United States, the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America, are both committed to increasing the Latino vote in order to give Democrats a permanent electoral majority.
Maria Elena Durazo,Los Angeles County Federation of Labor head, is closely associated with both groups. She is is also well connected to former LA Mayor and Gubernatorial hopeful Antonia Villaraigosa, as well as former California State Senator Gil Cedillo, both long time immigration activists.
“Durazo, Villaraigosa and Cedillo, all trained under legendary Los Angles Communist Party USA activist, Democratic Party activist and “immigration reform” pioneer Bert Corona,” Trevor Loudon wrote in 2013. All three have long ties to both the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America, and coincidentally were all prominent California supporters of presidential candidate Barack Obama and long time ally of both the Communists and DSA.
(former mayor of Mexico’s second largest city of Los Angeles) Villaraigosa has a long history with MEChA. As a student, he headed the UCLA chapter of MEChA, but left UCLA six weeks before graduation to become a full-time organizer with Corona’s Centro de Action Social Autonoma.
Another radical activist isRep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), a co-sponsor of the 2010 Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Gutierrez,  a former member of the Marxist-Leninist Puerto Rican Socialist Party, chairs the Immigration Task Force of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Longtime amnesty activists Gutierrez and Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA), both members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, worked on the amnesty effort.
Communists seek to use amnestied illegals to build a “permanent progressive majority.” Most thinking Americans know that Democrats only care about illegals for the winning voting bloc they can provide, but most are unaware that this idea was hatched and developed by the American Communist Party, which Richie Ross clearly explains in his op ed:
The campaigns we developed broke new ground, organized new union workers, and increased the political impact Latino voters have had on California politics – simultaneously tripling their number of registered voters, increasing the Democratic share of that vote by 50%, and doubling the percentage of the total votes cast in California from Latinos.
Through the rest of the 1990′s our campaigns focused on legislative races in Los Angeles.  We succeeded.  But it was all small.
In 2000, our message was controversial (until it worked).  “If you want to make a difference, voting isn’t enough.  Don’t bother voting unless you sign our pledge to get 100% of your family to vote.”  Latino turnout rose… and accounted for 14% of the votes cast according to the State’s voter registration and voting history records.
The Enemies Within
Trevor Loudon’s 2013 book, Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress, “profiles fourteen Senators and more than fifty Representatives. Their ties to Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, Workers World Party, the Institute for Policy Studies, Council for a Livable World and other radical anti-American organizations.”
Loudon identifies Bert Corona, as the “Communist Father of the ‘Immigrants Rights’ movement” in 1960. In 1964, Corona, Cesar Chavez and future Democratic Socialists of America member Dolores Huerta forced Congress to end the guest worker “Bracero” program. Later, Corona sought ways to address “problems confronting Mexicans in the United States who had no visas or citizenship documents” – in other words, illegal aliens – including “how to defend persons detained by immigration authorities and how to help immigrants acquire disability and unemployment insurance and welfare.”
Loudon writes:
On March 11, 1998, Los Angeles Democratic Socialists of America leader Steve Tarzynski wrote an email to another Los Angeles DSA leader Harold Meyerson.
Tarzynski listed 25 people he thought should be on an “A-list” of “25 or so leaders/activists/intellectuals and/or “eminent persons” who would gather periodically to theorize/strategize about how to rebuild a progressive movement in our metropolitan area that could challenge for power.”
Included in a suggested elected officials sub-group were Mark Ridley-ThomasGloria RomeroJackie GoldbergGil CedilloTom HaydenAntonio VillaraigosaPaul Rosenstein and Congressmen Xavier BecerraHenry Waxman and Maxine Waters.
In further preparation for battle, the California legislature just hired former Attorney General, Eric Holder. “Having the former attorney general of the United States brings us a lot of firepower in order to prepare and safeguard the values of the people of California.” Kevin de Leon, the Democratic leader of the Senate, said in an interview. “This means we are very, very serious.”
Very serious, and very Marxist, indeed.

California AG Xavier Becerra: Corrupt Anarchist

The American Left Are The New Traitors

Immediately following the November 2016 election, California Governor Jerry Brown appointed U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra (D) to replace State Attorney General Kamala Harris, who won election to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer.
Many wonder why Becerra was Brown’s choice given that Becerra served in Congress since 1993, and resided in a million dollar home in Washington, D.C. (his primary residence) with his wife and three children, regardless of the requirement that a congressman from a certain district has to live there.
But all anyone has to do is pay attention to the radical California Legislature, and fanatical Gov. Jerry Brown, to see the decades-long trend of militant Marxist, Socialist, Jesuit, Liberation Theology, Latino activism.
Gov. Jerry Brown’s choice of Xavier Becerra to be California’s Attorney General was the first of many steps to protect the pervasive lawlessness of the radical left. Becerra has taken an aggressive and combative stance against President Donald Trump, suing Trump over the Presidents’ efforts to enforce federal immigration laws, and even blocks federal government attempts to deport criminal illegal aliens.
Trump’s campaign centered on building a wall along the United States border with Mexico to keep out illegal aliens, violent gangs, and terrorists posing as immigrants.
Xavier Becerra also has lingering troubles from his days in Congress. As the Daily Caller’s Luke Rosiak has been reporting, “Xavier Becerra, now attorney general of California, ran the House Democratic Caucus, and his server was physically stolen shortly after the IG report named it as evidence in a hacking probe, three senior government officials said.”
“The chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, barely reacted when he learned the caucus server had been infiltrated in 2016, although he loudly decried the hack of the Democratic National Committee that happened around that same time,” Rosiak said. “No one has faced punishment for the caucus server infiltration.”
“Members of the Awan family logged on to the Caucus server 7,000 times without authorization between October 2015 and August 2016, according to a House investigation. The logins suggested “the server is being used for nefarious purposes and elevated the risk that individuals could be reading and/or removed information,” it said.
Even after the Wikileaks publication of DNC emails, Becerra never publicly acknowledged nor demanded consequences for the cyber breach on the server of a group similar in nature to the DNC.”
“The Awans were accessing members’ computers without their knowledge, transferring files to remote servers, and stealing computer equipment — including hard drives that Awan & Co. smashed to bits of bytes before making tracks,” former Prosecutor Andrew McCarthy reported in National Review. And none of the Awans could have qualified for a security clearance.
The unvetted Awans enjoyed unfettered access throughout the Democrat Caucus – and even had access to the accounts of members of the House Intelligence and Foreign Affairs committees.
Many believe Becerra departed Congress to become Jerry Brown’s appointed attorney general in California to put him in a position in which he could not be prosecuted.
However, Becerra has an election coming in November, and faces a solid Republican challenger in retired Superior Court Judge Steven Bailey.
Kowtowing to BLM
And now, Sacramento’s shady weak-kneed Mayor, Darrell Steinberg, who has a history of standing by and watching scandals happen, just announced that AG Xavier Becerra will take over the investigation into the March 18 police shooting of career thug Stephon Clark in Sacramento.
But Houston, we have a problem with this: hundreds of Black Lives Matter protesters have blocked the entrance of nearby Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento twice in one week, preventing thousands of ticket-holding Kings fans from attending NBA games. And the Sacramento City Council and Mayor Steinberg allowed it to happen.
Anti-police mobs, and Black Lives Matter protestors have also halted traffic on Interstate 5, and shut down a Sacramento city council meeting where the Sacramento police did nothing to stop them… likely on orders from the Mayor.
Lloyd Billingsley reported at Frontpage Mag a connection between Beccerra and Black Lives Matter, and points out that both Kamala Harris and Becerra completely ignored the brutal murders of police officers Danny Oliver and Michael Davis by now-convicted murderer Luis Bracamontes, who told the court, “I wish I had killed more of the motherfuckers.”
But Becerra was silent on the Oliver/Davis murders, and on Kate Steinle, gunned down by repeatedly deported Mexican national José Inez García Zarate, likely because of his Awan brothers problems in Congress.
Billingsley also points out, “While anti-police mobs raged through the streets, Jerry Brown issued pardons for five illegals facing deportation and guilty of crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, vehicle theft and drug dealing.”
Are you feeling the anarchy? Socialism? Leftism?
What legal recourse do voters have against lawyer politicians who knowingly violate the law, either through the passage of unconstitutional bills, or through illegal actions and policy? What will it take for voters to throw out these corruptocrats and crooks?

Gov. Jerry Brown’s nomination of  Xavier Becerra to be California’s next Attorney General was the first of many steps to protect the pervasive lawlessness of the radical left. Becerra has already taken an aggressive and combative stance against President-elect Donald Trump, vowing to fight Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration laws, and even block attempts to deport criminal illegal aliens. Trump’s campaign centered on building a wall along the United States border with Mexico to keep out illegal immigrants, violent gangs, and terrorists posing as immigrants.
Xavier Becerra, currently a 12-year member of Congress, is an admitted member of MEChA, or “Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan,” often likened to a Latino KKK.
Becerra has publicly defended MEChA, even though the Chicano supremacist group evangelizes discrimination against non-Hispanics and calls for the killing of Border Patrol “pigs.” MEChA’s rallying cry is: “For the race, everything; For those outside the race, nothing.
Becerra’s Radical Plans
Recently, the State Assembly Committee on the Office of the Attorney General asked nominee Becerra to detail his plans on the issues of immigration, civil rights, the environment, policing and consumer protection – apparently the only issues the California Legislature is interested in Becerra defending.
In a letter released Saturday, Becerra praised California’s policies helping illegal aliens get driver’s licenses, free college tuition, and free lawyers to represent them in deportation cases, calling it “national leadership.”
“All of these policies and programs are representative of California’s values as a welcoming state,” Becerra wrote to the Assembly committee.
Becerra also took a shot at Trump for proposing to create a registry of Muslim immigrants during the campaign.”Disturbing statements uttered during the recent Presidential campaign have given rise to legitimate fears that the new federal administration might seek to adopt policies that would discriminate against people based on factors such as their religious belief,” Becerra wrote. “Any such policies would be antithetical to the deepest constitutional values and traditions of this nation — a nation founded in part by men and women fleeing religious persecution.”
“I have no intention of allowing this policy through the doors of California,” he wrote.
Like a good progressive foot soldier, Becerra also vowed to fight for abortion, calling it “reproductive freedom.”
Becerra said he will support California’s recent legislation expanding voter registration and participation in elections. He might want to look into the 650,000 newly registered California voters, registered online only weeks before the election. According to the Los Angeles Times, “98% of all the growth in California’s voter ranks in 2016 happened in just the last 45 days of the registration season.”
As Attorney General, Becerra has vowed to continue enforcing policies to combat climate change and work to “transition Californians to a low-carbon way of life.” Becerra added that a part of environmental protections is safe drinking water and vowed to “pursue the goal of providing safe drinking water to all Californians.” Perhaps Becerra can begin by supporting the safe drinking water bills that Assemblyman Devon Mathis has tried to get passed over the last two years?  In Mathis’ district, wells began going dry in East Porterville more than three years ago, with more continuing to dry up every day.
Assemblyman Devon Mathis, R-Porterville, authored the bills to provide $10 million to homeowners (not farmers) to dig deeper wells and clean contaminated ones.
Both bills passed through the Assembly and a state Senate committee without opposition, only to have Senate Appropriations Chairman Ricardo Lara, D-Los Angeles and Mecha activist, put both bills on suspense– one after the other, killing them and depriving 10,000+ low-income individuals access to running water. Sen. Lara was playing politics with this Republican bill, despite the 10,000 poor people who need the clean water.
Sanctuary Cities
California, through its 35 Sanctuary Cities, is clearly violating U.S. Federal Immigration law. Recently, Democrat members of the State Legislature proposed two bills: SB 6 by Sen. Ben Hueso, to create a state program to fund legal representation for illegal aliens facing deportation, and AB 3 by Assemblyman Rob Bonta to create taxpayer-funded training for defense attorneys and public defenders on immigration law for illegal aliens.
And now California is going to try to prevent the new Presidential administration from enforcing federal immigration law despite the fact that the Constitution clearly imposes a duty on the president and the executive branch, to enforce the law.
Hiring Eric Holder… for what?
Democrats in the California State Legislature apparently decided Becerra isn’t enough legal muscle, and recently hired former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder to fight a “clear and present danger” from President-elect Trump… the same former Attorney General Eric Holder who was once blasted for helping to trigger a “war” on police and called America  “a nation of cowards” on the issue of race. However, he now says he sees his “younger” self in Black Lives Matter activists… this is who California hired to assist California’s top law enforcement officer?
Since Trump — who is not referring to himself as “The Office of President-Elect,” as his predecessor did — has not yet taken office, nor any official actions, it is hard to see specifically for what purpose Holder has been hired.
There certainly is poetic justice in hiring the failed Attorney General of the failed Obama Administration to defend the failed and deteriorating policies of the Jerry Brown administration and radical Democrats running the state.
Described as a “devious, power-hungry, racial zealot,” Eric Holder is also a dubious choice since he is the only U.S. Attorney General in history to be held in contempt of Congress, when he refused to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents to Congress. One of the most reckless law enforcement operations ever conducted by the Justice Department, it involved selling guns to Mexican drug cartels, and resulted in the death of a U.S. border patrol agent, Brian Terry, as well as hundreds of Mexican citizens.
Under Holder’s watch at the DOJ Civil Rights Division, more than half of all the lawyers hired were chosen from four radical, anti-American organizations: the ACLU, National Council of La Raza, NAACP, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights, John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky outlined in their 2014 book, “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.”
Additionally, the Justice Department under Holder, and now Loretta Lynch, has one of the worst records before the U.S. Supreme Court, losing significantly more cases than either of the Bush or Clinton Departments of Justice. “In most administrations, the department wins about 70 percent of the cases before the Supreme Court; Mr. Holder’s department has a losing record and has lost at least nine cases 9-0–even with Obama appointees Elena Kagen and Sonia Sotomayor on the court,” wrote Jared Taylor of American Renaissance, in a review of “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.”
Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a records request with the California Legislature Joint Rules Committee seeking to examine legislative records regarding the state’s employment of former Obama U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr.  The record request includes:
All contracts between the California Legislature and former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. or Covington and Burling.
All communications between the California Legislature and former U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. or Covington and Burling about the Legislature’s retention of Holder and/or Covington and Burling.
Judicial Watch’s records request is designed to expose how California state legislators are wasting tax dollars to take care of another corrupt politician – Eric Holder – under the guise of resisting the rule of law on immigration and other matters,” stated Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.  “His record at the Clinton and Obama Justice Departments demonstrates a willingness to bend the law in order to protect his political patrons.
The hiring of Eric Holder by the California Legislature confirms a lack of confidence in Xavier Becerra by Gov. Brown and Democrats in the Legislature–which must be quite humiliating for Becerra, especially after his promise to uphold California’s “progressive” policies on immigration, Obamacare, energy, and criminal justice. “If you want to take on a forward-leaning state that is prepared to defend its rights and interests, then come at us,” Becerra said, directing his comment to Trump.  Choosing Holder also reiterates the anti-American, anti-Constitution, anti-religion movement of Marxists in America, but particularly in California. The biggest obstacle standing between Marxism and Marxist domination of the world is America, and the U.S. Constitution. And standing between a Marxist takeover of America is California – only when California is destroyed can Marxists proceed.

Part Three coming next week….

AG Xavier Becerra: “CalExit” Movement can proceed

The CalExit Movement has gained momentum. With the approval of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, if the separatist movement can gather 585,000 signatures, the representatives of CalExit can put a referendum on the ballot where the state would secede from the United States.
“The initiative [titled ‘California Autonomy From Federal Government’] would form a commission to recommend avenues for California to pursue its independence and delete part of the state constitution that says it is an inseparable part of the U.S. The measure would also instruct the governor and California congressional delegation to negotiate more autonomy for the state,” according to the AP.

CHICANO MARXISTS PREPARE FOR BATTLE WITH TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

January 5, 2017 by Katy Grimes and Megan Barth
As Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán, we are a nationalist movement of Indigenous Gente that lay claim to the land that is ours by birthright. As a nationalist movement we seek to free our people from the exploitation of an oppressive society that occupies our land. Thus, the principle of nationalism serves to preserve the cultural traditions of La Familia de La Raza and promotes our identity as a Chicana/Chicano Gente. M.E.CH.A
Immediately following the November election, California Governor Jerry Brown appointed U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra (D) to replace State Attorney General Kamala Harris, who won election to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer.
Many wonder why Xavier Becerra was chosen
by Brown. But all anyone has to do is peek into
the radical California Legislature, and fanatical
Gov. Jerry Brown, to see the trend of militant
Marxist, Socialist, Jesuit, Liberation Theology,
Latino activism on the increase.
The term “progressive” is simply another way of saying “socialist” or “Marxist;” But it’s as important to recognize how liberation theology factors into the radical Latino lawmakers:In Latin America, the big enemy is not Marxism, it is capitalism. And the main enemy of liberation theology, according to its founder, the Rev. Gustavo Gutierrez of Peru, and many of its adherents, is the United States, wrote Michael Novak, the author of the 1984 ‘’Freedom With Justice: Catholic Social Thought and Liberal Institutions.” Novak describes liberation theology as “gaining its excitement from flirting with Marxist thought and speech.”

Xavier Becerra As Fox News pointed out in a

2003 interview on the Sean Hannitty Show,
Becerra has a devout relationship with
MEChA, as well as The Fabian Society. But
don’t go looking for the clip; it is apparent
Becerra’s people have been busy at work
cleaning up his online reputation and record.

MEChA is a Hispanic separatist organization (400 chapters nationwide) that encourages anti-American activities, civil disobedience, and romanticizes Mexican claims to the “lost Territories” of California and the Southwestern United States, in a Chicano country called “Aztlan.” The official national symbol of MEChA is an eagle holding a machete-like weapon and a stick of dynamite.
U.S. President Barack Obama has long advocated the use of Keynesian economic concepts—despite the fact that John Maynard Keynes was incompetent, a fraud, and accused of being a pedophile.
They have manipulated the political process so that only those candidates well-versed in Marxism receive the attention of the corporate Media.

CLINTON CONSIDERED BECERRA TO BE HER RUNNING MATE BUT COULDN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE HIS NAME CORRECTLY

Becerra Was Under Consideration To Be Clinton's Running Mate. "Beyond the Massachusetts senator, other prospective candidates include Labor Secretary Tom Perez; Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro; Sens. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Cory Booker of New Jersey; Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Reps. Xavier Becerra of California and Tim Ryan of Ohio, several Democrats said." (Laura Meckler and Colleen Nelson, "Bernie Sanders Not Being Vetted As Hillary Clinton's Running Mate," The Wall Street Journal, 6/15/16)
Becerra Even Went So Far As To Pour Clinton's Water For Her During A Capitol Hill Visit. "The Clinton campaign had no comment on who she might be considering, while Becerra has repeatedly said he has no knowledge of whether he's being vetted for the post. But that didn't stop his colleagues from teasing him. At a press conference after the closed-door meeting, Democratic Rep. Joseph Crowley of New York joked about how carefully Becerra poured water for Clinton and joking that he is near-sighted. (Lissandra Villa, "House Democrats Tease Potential Hillary Clinton Running Mate After Capitol Hill Meeting," Time, 6/22/16)
But, Clinton Could Not Even Pronounce Becerra's Name Correctly. "She's known Rep. Xavier Becerra since she was first lady and likes him, has had several group dinners with him over the last year, but still mispronounces his name with an extra emphasis on the vowel in the last syllable." Becerra's District Has The Nation's

4th Largest Concentration Of The

Working Poor

Becerra Represents California's
34th Congressional District Which "Has
The Nation's 4th Largest Concentration
Of Working Poor." "The nearby 34th
Congressional District of Xavier Becerra
has the nation's 4th largest concentration of
working poor. It runs east and west of the
Pasadena Freeway and includes Westlake,
Chinatown, Elysian Park and Montecito
Heights. Oxfam estimates 29% of those in
the district would benefit from a higher
minimum wage." ("Nation's Biggest Pocket

"Half The Households In Becerra's District Are Living Below 200% Of The Poverty Line." "Half the households in Becerra's district are living below 200% of the poverty line. Yet, the percentage of households receiving food stamps in the district is just below the nation as a whole." ("Nation's Biggest Pocket Of Working Poor Is In SoCal," KPCC, 6/16/14)

BECERRA'S WIFE CAROLINA REYES WAS A LEADER IN THE "RADICAL LATINO STUDENT ORGANIZATION" MECHA

Becerra's Wife Carolina Reyes Was A Leader Of "The Chicano Activist Organization MEChA." "When his girlfriend--now wife--Carolina Reyes was downstairs in the lounge of the Casa Zapata dorm leading meetings of the Chicano activist organization MEChA, Becerra was more likely to be upstairs studying. Friends encouraged him to take a greater leadership role on campus, but Becerra was intent on getting into law school. (He did, graduating from Stanford Law in 1984.)" (Matea Gold, "Congressman Tests His Winning Streak," Los Angeles Times, 3/12/01)
MEChA, The Movimiento Estudantil Chicano De Aztlan, Is A "Radical Latino Student Organization." "The suggestion came about because Mr Bustamante, a Latino who enjoys huge popularity with Spanish-speaking immigrants, was a member of the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA), a radical Latino student organisation." (Chris Ayres, "Rival In Separatist Row," Times Online, 8/8/03)

MEChA Supports "Reconquering" California For Mexico And "Urges All Latinos To Resist Assimilation With White Americans"

"MEChA Supports 'Reconquering' California For Mexico And Urges All Latinos To Resist Assimilation With White Americans." (Chris Ayres, "Rival In Separatist Row," Times Online, 8/8/03)
MEChA Continues To Support "Reclaiming" Chicano Nation And Resistance Of The Chicano People To "A Foreign Culture." "In March of 1969, at Denver, Colorado the Crusade for Justice organized the National Chicano Youth Conference that drafted the basic premises for the Chicana/Chicano Movement in El Plan de Aztlán (EPA). A synopsis of El Plan stipulates: 1) We are Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán reclaiming the land of our birth (Chicana/Chicano Nation); 2) Aztlán belongs to indigenous people, who are sovereign and not subject to a foreign culture; 3) We are a union of free pueblos forming a bronze (Chicana/Chicano) Nation; 4) Chicano nationalism, as the key to mobilization and organization, is the common denominator to bring consensus to the Chicana/Chicano Movement; 5) Cultural values strengthen our identity as La Familia de La Raza; and 6) EPA, as a basic plan of Chicana/Chicano liberation, sought the formation of an independent national political party that would represent the sentiments of the Chicana/Chicano community." (National MEChA Website, Accessed 6/20/16)
MEChA's Slogan Can Be Translated To "Within The Race, Everything; Outside Of It Nothing." "Starting with the name (Chicano Student Movement of Aztlán, "Aztlán" referring to the mythical Aztec homeland that prophecy held was north of Mexico and would be repopulated by descendants of the People of the Sun), continuing with slogans like Entre la raza todo; fuera de la raza, nada (Within the race, everything; outside of it, nothing) and concluding with that tribalistic clapping circle, the average MEChA meeting might look to outsiders like a gathering of brown-skinned brownshirts." (Gustavo Arellano, Op-Ed, "Raza Isn't Racist," Los Angeles Times, 6/15/16)
MEChA Members Have Dismissed The Importance Of Brown Vs. The Board Of Education And Destroyed An Entire Run Of The Campus Newspaper. "It doesn't help MEChA's case that Semillas del Pueblo Principal Marcos Aguilar, a former UCLA Mechista, once dismissed the importance of Brown vs. the Board of Education during an interview, adding that "the white way, the American way, the neoliberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction." Or that members of Pasadena City College's MEChA chapter recently destroyed an entire run of the campus newspaper because they considered the paper's coverage of one MEChA event inadequate." (Gustavo Arellano, Op-Ed, "Raza Isn't Racist," Los Angeles Times, 6/15/16)

BECERRA ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF A DRUG DEALER

Becerra Lobbied For The Commutation Of A Convicted Drug Traffickers' Sentence

Becerra Urged President Clinton To Commute A Donor's Son's Drug Trafficking Sentence. "President-elect Barack Obama's offer to make Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Los Angeles) the next U.S. trade representative makes him the second Cabinet-level candidate to have been involved in President Clinton's controversial 2001 commutation of a Los Angeles cocaine dealer's prison sentence. The dealer, Carlos Vignali, was convicted in 1994 for his role in a drug ring that delivered more than 800 pounds of cocaine -- worth about $5 million at the time -- from Los Angeles to Minneapolis. He was released after serving less than half of his 14 1/2 -year sentence. Becerra was one of a number of Southern California political leaders who urged Clinton to consider commuting Vignali's prison term in response to a campaign by Vignali's father, Horacio, a Los Angeles businessman and developer who contributed to Becerra's political campaigns." (Josh Meyer, Tom Hamburger and Peter Nicholas, "Cabinet Picks Put Focus On Drug Case," Los Angeles Times, 12/5/08)
Drug Dealer Vignali's Father Was "A Major Political Donor," And Becerra Defended His Actions Against Accusations That He Had Pulled Strings For A Donor. "Vignali's father, Horacio, a major political donor, persuaded various public figures--including Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg, county Supervisor Gloria Molina, former Rep. Esteban Torres, Cardinal Roger M. Mahony and state Sen. Richard Polanco--to write letters to the White House on his son's behalf. Becerra, one of the last officials to add his voice to those seeking an evaluation of the younger Vignali's case, spent last week repeatedly defending his actions in newspaper, TV and radio interviews, worried that the perception that he had pulled strings for a donor could taint his clean-cut image." (Matea Gold, "Vignali Case Casts Shadow Over Mayor's Race," Los Angeles Times, 2/20/01)
Vignali Donated Over $15,000 To Becerra And Hosted A Fundraiser For His Mayoral Race. "Both Becerra and Villaraigosa have said that they were moved by Horacio Vignali's passionate pleas to help his son, adding that the parking lot owner's donations to their campaigns did not sway them. Over the years, Vignali donated $2,795 to Villaraigosa, $2,475 to Becerra, and an additional $10,000 to Becerra's political action committee. Vignali and his family have given $3,500 to Becerra's mayoral campaign and co-hosted a fund-raiser for him last June." (Matea Gold, "Vignali Case Casts Shadow Over Mayor's Race," Los Angeles Times, 2/20/01)
Becerra Claims That He Had Only Asked For More Information Regarding Vignali's Conviction But Eventually Ended Up Writing A Letter On His Behalf. "The congressman insists that he was merely seeking a review of the facts of Vignali's conviction, and never pushed for a presidential commutation, even though he did make a phone call to a White House counsel Jan. 19, in the waning hours of the Clinton administration, to ask about the case. That phone call was merely to get information for a worried Horacio Vignali, he said. 'What I wanted to know was, 'Can you give him some information?,' he said. 'If I was going to try to put pressure on, I would have tried to call the president.' Becerra said he resisted writing a letter on Vignali's behalf until he learned that Mahony had written one in July 1996. (Mahony said last week that he made a mistake weighing in on the case.)" (Matea Gold, "Vignali Case Casts Shadow Over Mayor's Race," Los Angeles Times, 2/20/01)
Becerra Continued To Insist That He "Didn't Push For A Commutation." "Even then, Becerra said, he refused to push for presidential clemency as Vignali urged him to do. The congressman eventually wrote to Clinton on Nov. 21, asking him to evaluate the case. 'I thought . . . if Cardinal Mahony has written a letter, I can ask for a review as well,' Becerra said. 'I didn't know whether the guy was innocent, so that's why I didn't push for a commutation.'" (Matea Gold, "Vignali Case Casts Shadow Over Mayor's Race," Los Angeles Times, 2/20/01)

BECERRA'S MAYORAL CAMPAIGN SENT OUT "INCENDIARY" CALLS IMPERSONATING AN ELECTED OFFICIAL ATTACKING HIS FORMER FRIEND ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA

A Becerra Campaign Phone Bank Sent Out "Incendiary" Calls Attacking Antonio Villaraigosa During The 2001 Los Angeles Mayoral Race. "The Los Angeles County district attorney's office has concluded that a phone bank run for the unsuccessful mayoral campaign of U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra sent out the incendiary calls last month attacking rival Antonio Villaraigosa, according to sources familiar with the investigation." (Nicholas Riccardi and Greg Krikorian, "D.A. Traces Bogus Calls To Firm Tied To Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/23/01)
·         The Calls Impersonated Supervisor Gloria Molina Urging Voters To Oppose Villaraigosa For His Alleged Opposition To Increased Penalties For Rapists And Child Molesters. "At a news conference today, Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley is expected to announce that prosecutors found that no crime was committed in the prerecorded calls, in which a woman posing as county Supervisor Gloria Molina alleged that former Assembly Speaker Villaraigosa opposed legislation increasing penalties for rapists and child molesters. 'Please, on April 10, say no to Antonio Villaraigosa,' the message concluded. 'The safety of women and children in our community depends on it.'" (Nicholas Riccardi and Greg Krikorian, "D.A. Traces Bogus Calls To Firm Tied To Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/23/01)
Becerra And Villaraigosa "Were Once Friends." "The tensions between Villaraigosa and Becerra--and their staffs--run deep. Although the two men were once friends, community leaders had feared that their competing candidacies would divide Latino support and that neither would make it to the June runoff." (Nicholas Riccardi and Greg Krikorian, "D.A. Traces Bogus Calls To Firm Tied To Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/23/01)
The Calls Against Becerra "Were Ordered--And Paid For--By The Becerra Campaign." "Although details of the probe were carefully guarded Tuesday, interviews show that investigators uncovered evidence that Becerra's campaign manager knew of the calls and that the voice on the recording is a female aide to the congressman. Martin GutieRuiz, director of the La Colectiva agency, which issued the calls, told The Times they were ordered--and paid for--by the Becerra campaign." (Nicholas Riccardi and Greg Krikorian, "D.A. Traces Bogus Calls To Firm Tied To Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/23/01)
The Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley Denounced Becerra's Tactics As "Dirty Tricksterism." "In the calls, a woman impersonating county Supervisor Gloria Molina said that former Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa's record on crime made him a bad choice for women and children. On Wednesday, Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley said a seven-week investigation showed that the calls were generated by Becerra's campaign. Although no crime was committed, Cooley denounced the tactic as 'dirty tricksterism.'" (Matea Gold and Greg Krikorian, "Becerra Knew of Hit Calls Long Ago, Two Say," Los Angeles Times, 5/25/01)
LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina Who Was Impersonated On The Calls Felt "Personally Abused And Personally Hurt By Xavier Becerra And His Campaign.""Although Becerra said he had no involvement in the calls, Molina said Wednesday that she felt 'personally abused and personally hurt by Xavier Becerra and his campaign.' Molina told reporters that the congressman could not hide behind his aides and that, even if he did not personally authorize them, had to accept responsibility for the calls. Molina's strong statements could hurt Becerra, who has benefited from her support and enjoyed a squeaky-clean image." (Greg Krikorian and Nicholas Riccardi, "Phone Ad Blamed On Staff Of Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/24/01)

Becerra's Campaign Not Only Spread The Bogus Calls Deleted Them After They Prompted An Investigation

Becerra Was Informed Of His Campaign's Connection To The Villaraigosa Attack Calls And Waited To Inform The District Attorney's Office For Weeks. "Two political associates of Rep. Xavier Becerra said Thursday that they warned the congressman weeks ago that his campaign was apparently responsible for an anonymous hit phone call campaign against one of his mayoral opponents. The revelations raise questions as to why Becerra waited until last week to tell the district attorney's office he had heard "rumors" that the calls may have been linked to his campaign." (Matea Gold and Greg Krikorian, "Becerra Knew of Hit Calls Long Ago, Two Say," Los Angeles Times, 5/25/01)
·         Cooley: "Being Responsible Means Asking The Tough Questions And Getting The Straight Answers, Not Just Buying The First Nice Answer You Get And Averting Your Eyes." "'The responsibility was to come forward right away, not weeks later to report that he heard 'rumors,' Cooley said. 'Being responsible means asking the tough questions and getting the straight answers, not just buying the first nice answer you get and averting your eyes.'" (Matea Gold and Greg Krikorian, "Becerra Knew of Hit Calls Long Ago, Two Say," Los Angeles Times , 5/25/01)
Becerra's Campaign Deleted The Incendiary Phone Calls Made On His Behalf After They Prompted An Investigation. "U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra's mayoral campaign not only produced a scandalous telephone ad in the Los Angeles mayoral race but later erased the message after it had prompted an investigation, Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley said Wednesday. Although the actions did not constitute a crime, the district attorney's report could spell political trouble for both Becerra and Los Angeles Councilman Nick Pacheco, a Becerra supporter connected to the telephone bank that issued the calls." (Greg Krikorian and Nicholas Riccardi, "Phone Ad Blamed On Staff Of Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/24/01)
Becerra Campaign Officials "Stymied" Investigators Attempts To Discover The Origin Of The Calls. "Over the course of the probe, investigators found themselves stymied by some of the Becerra campaign's top officials, prosecutors said. Monserratt initially denied any knowledge of the controversial calls. Several days later, Cooley said, investigators tried to reach Monserratt but were unsuccessful until an attorney representing him contacted the district attorney's office. But on May 1, under oath, Monserratt explained La Colectiva's role in making the controversial calls." The Los Angeles Times Slammed Becerra For His Underhanded Campaign Tactics

Los Angeles Times' Editor Frank Del Olmo: "Smart As Becerra Is, He Will Never Again Be Able To Pass Himself Off As A Stanford-Educated Boy Scout." "The letter from Cooley to Molina recounting the investigation, and subsequent revelations that Becerra had been warned about political trickery before the April primary, suggest that these protestations of innocence are so much political tripe. Smart as Becerra is, he will never again be able to pass himself off as a Stanford-educated Boy Scout. That's bound to hurt. And just when he could use that comforting bowl of menudo, he may not be able to get it." (Frank Del Olmo, Op-Ed, "Becerra Has A Lot Of Explaining To Do," Los Angeles Times, 5/27/01)
Los Angeles Times' Steve Lopez: Becerra Is Having A "Biblical Fall From Grace."

"People keep telling me there's no interest in local politics in Southern California, and I have to say that I just don't get it. In Los Angeles alone, a Mexican American is running for mayor as a non-Latino, his white opponent, is running as a black man despite falling asleep at the wheel during the Rampart scandal, a Boy Scout congressman is having a Biblical fall from grace, and half the city wants to secede." (Steve Lopez, Op-Ed, "The Shocking Truth About Political Pranks," Los Angeles Times, 5/25/01)
The Los Angeles Times Slammed Becerra For The Impersonation-Centered Smear Campaign. "Shame on Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Los Angeles), a losing candidate in last month's mayoral primary. How could he not know that his campaign paid for the outrageous phone calls--made in a voice sounding like Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina's--that smeared former Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa? If Becerra didn't know what his campaign was doing on his behalf, he should have. In the end, the dirty trick didn't help him much. He polled barely 6%. In contrast, Villaraigosa won a spot in the June 5 runoff. That's justice." (Editorial, "Face Up to It, Rep. Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/24/01)
The Los Angeles Times: "Becerra's Campaign Paid For The Calls. Voters Shouldn't Forget That." "A bill, AB 690, by Herb Wesson (D-Culver City), would rightly criminalize unethical behavior of this kind and require identification of whoever paid for automated phone calls. A similar measure, AB 3, introduced by Senate Republican Leader Jim Brulte (R-Rancho Cucamonga), is scheduled to come before the Senate Appropriations Committee today. Both bills should be approved. Becerra's campaign paid for the calls. Voters shouldn't forget that." (Editorial, "Face Up to It, Rep. Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/24/01)

The Los Angeles Times Also Noted That Becerra's Actions Should Be Prohibited By State Law For Misleading Voters. "Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley says there is insufficient evidence to file criminal charges, even against the campaign manager who, according to a phone bank worker, approved the hit piece. State law prohibits the impersonation of a public official in an attempt to mislead voters. In this case, the caller said she was 'Gloria Marina,' which is close to Supervisor Molina's name but apparently not close enough to be illegal." (Editorial, "Face Up to It, Rep. Becerra," Los Angeles Times, 5/24/01)
