'I believe in Joe': Sen. Kamala Harris endorses Biden for president

  Sen. Kamala Harris, who clashed with Joe Biden on the debate stage earlier in the Democratic primary race, endorsed the former vice president on Sunday. 
The California Democrat said in a Twitter post that Biden "has served our country with dignity and we need him now more than ever. I will do everything in my power to help elect him the next President of the United States." 
"I have decided that I am, with great enthusiasm, going to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States," Harris said in a video directed at her supporters, which was posted with the tweet. "I believe in Joe. I really believe in him and I have known him for a long time. One of the things that we need right now, is we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people. And I believe Joe can do that." 
Harris has been floated as a strong running mate for Biden, who told reporters in December that "of course" he would consider her for vice president. 
"Sen. Harris has the capacity to be anything she wants to be. I mean it sincerely," Biden said. "She is solid. She can be president someday herself. She can be the vice president. She can go on to be a Supreme Court justice. She can be an attorney general. I mean, she has enormous capability."

During the first Democratic debate in June, the former California attorney general went after Biden, who was considered the frontrunner for most of 2019, on his record regarding civil rights
Harris challenged Biden over remarks he made at a fundraiser where he touted his past successes working with Republicans to get legislation passed, citing his ability to work with segregationist Sens. James Eastland and Herman Talmadge. 
"It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and careers on segregation of race in this country," Harris, who is African-American, told Biden. 
She went on to criticize his opposition to school busing in the 1970s, telling the story of a young girl in California who was part of just the second integrated class in her school. 
"That little girl is me," Harris said. 
Biden fired back, calling her comments a "mischaracterization" of his positions and saying, "I don't praise racists." 


That debate performance in Miami helped Harris take off in national polls on the race. Multiple surveys found her in second place after that debate, including one from Quinnipiac University that found her just two percentage points behind Biden. 
But that bumped was short-lived. Though Harris was consistently one of the top-five performing candidates in national polls, along with Biden, Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, she never returned to the level of support she had in July. 
Harris dropped out of the race in December, citing a lack of funds. When she left, the number of candidates remaining in the field was still in the double-digits. Now, only Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii remain.  Gabbard, with only two delegates under her belt after Super Tuesday, does not appear to have a viable path to the nomination. 
When asked about Harris's endorsement of Biden on ABC News' "This Week," Sanders said it was "no secret" that his campaign "was not going to get the support of most elected leaders. Not most governors, not most senators." 
Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, said he is taking on the party establishment, which he claimed forced out Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar – ignoring their low delegate totals and poor polling numbers – because "the establishment wanted was to make sure that people coalesced around Biden and try to defeat me." 
In his response to Harris' Biden endorsement, Sanders announced that prominent African-American civil rights leader Jesse Jackson would declare his support for Sanders at an event in Michigan later on Sunday.
Buttigieg and Klobuchar exited the race after disappointing performances in the South Carolina primary. Warren and billionaire Mike Bloomberg followed suit after failing to gain ground on Super Tuesday, when a third of the pledged delegates needed to secure the nomination was at stake.
Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Bloomberg endorsed Biden after dropping out. Other former candidates who have thrown their support behind Biden include Rep. Tom Ryan of Ohio, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, and former Reps. Beto O'Rourke of Texas and John Delaney of Maryland. 
With the race now a contest between Biden and Sanders to see which of them will take on President Donald Trump in November, it is all but certain that the next president will be a white man in his seventies.
In a written statement endorsing Biden, Harris expressed disappointment that there were no viable female candidates remaining. 
"Like many women, I watched with sadness as women exited the race one by one. Four years after our nominee, the first woman to win the nomination of a major party, received 3 million more votes than Donald Trump but still lost, we find ourselves without any woman on a path to be the Democratic nominee for president," Harris said.
"But we must rise to unite the party and country behind a candidate who reflects the decency and dignity of the American people and who can ultimately defeat Donald Trump."

Joe Biden’s Sister Valerie Sent Millions of Joe’s Campaign Dollars to Her Own Consulting Firm

Valerie Biden Owens, the sister of former vice president Joe Biden (D), who served as the campaign manager for his past presidential campaigns, directed $2.5 million from “Citizens for Biden” and “Biden for President Inc.” to her own consulting firm during her brother’s 2008 presidential bid alone, Breitbart senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President Peter Schweizer’s investigative blockbuster Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite reveals.
Biden’s political tenure, as Schweizer’s book extensively details, has largely remained a complicated family affair, resulting in little-known financial benefits for not just his son Hunter Biden, but for his sister Valerie.
Her role as a senior partner in the political messaging firm Slade White & Company coincided with her participation in Biden’s various political campaigns. She was only one of two executives – the other being Joe Slade White – at the firm and has remained the Executive Vice President for 15 years.
However, the lines between her role as leading her brother’s political campaigns and working at the firm blurred, as the firm “received large fees from the Biden campaigns that Valerie was running,” Profiles in Corruption reveals:

Two and a half million dollars in consulting fees flowed to her firm from Citizens for Biden and Biden For President Inc. during the 2008 presidential bid alone. Keep in mind that Joe Slade White & Company worked for Biden campaigns over eighteen years.
The report demonstrates a pattern, as Schweizer’s book shows, of the complex, albeit largely unknown, dynamics of the Biden family and the financial benefits reaped, which purportedly stem from the presidential hopeful’s varying positions in government throughout his life.
“These are not a few disparate enterprises, but rather moneymaking ventures that appear to be part of a well-organized family business,” Profiles in Corruption details.
Biden has previously denied, particularly on the campaign trail, the allegations that his family members have cashed out in various ways over the course of his political career.
“I’ve never discussed with my son or my brother, or anyone else anything having to do with their businesses, period,” Biden told reporters in August 2019 amid further allegations of his family members using his political leverage for personal gain.
“As we will see, this is an impossibility, “ Schweizer writes.
The latest revelation, detailing Valerie’s direction of millions of her brother’s campaign dollars to her consulting firm, follows the eye-opening discoveries detailed in Schweizer’s New York Times #1 bestseller Secret Empires, which effectively “blew the lid off the Biden-Burisma scandal in Ukraine, wherein Hunter Biden made up to $83,000 a month with Ukrainian energy giant Burisma as his father led U.S.-Ukraine policy while vice president,” as Breitbart News detailed.
Profiles in Corruption also exposes “the Biden 5,” detailing how Hunter Biden’s firms scored business deals with figures and entities tied to the governments of Russia, China, and Kazakhstan. It also reveals how Biden’s brothers seemingly benefited from his political stature. As Schweizer reveals, James Biden’s firm received $1.5 billion in government contracts despite a lack of experience in the international development industry. Profiles in Corruption also details Frank Biden’s connection to projects receiving millions in taxpayer loans over the course of the Obama administration.
Biden will continue to face mounting questions surrounding the benefits his family reaped as a result of his political influence as the Iowa caucuses kick off the Democrat primary election next week. Most journalists and Democrats didn’t express any concerns when:
  • VP Biden threatened (promised) Ukraine that he would cut off a billion dollars in aid to them if they didn't fire the prosecutor investigating a company his son was involved with.
  • Hunter Biden got paid $50,000 a month as a board member of a corrupt Ukrainian gas company when he had no expertise on the product of the company.
  • Obama promised the very dangerous Russia and Putin that he would be flexible if he was reelected (somehow no one at FBI or elsewhere was ever concerned that Russia may have tried to influence the 2012 election to elect the flexible president.)
  • Hillary, Obama and many others violated the nation's security laws by using her non-government computer.
  • Obama gave kickbacks to union supporters when he violated the nation's bankruptcy law with the bailout of GM.
  • Obama used taxpayer dollars to reward political supporters like at Solyndra.
  • Hillary, through her family and foundation, got huge amounts of speech money and donations from foreign countries. Russia, for example, got Uranium for their generosity. (If there is any doubt about whether they were kickbacks, that should have disappeared when the donations dried up and speech fees dropped or dried up when she no longer could return favors)
  • Obama shipped over $1 billion in taxpayer money in unmarked bills, to Iran tyrants, who still pledge death to America, to get a deal.
  • Obama dictatorially stopped a years’ long investigation into a billion dollar a year drug running ring by terrorists to appease Iranian tyrants because he was more concerned about his legacy than the safety, health and lives of the American people. 
  • Hillary and the DNC paying over $10 billion to buy a fake dossier from a foreign national to destroy Trump. It appears they didn't think they could beat him based on the truth or their policy proposals. 
  • Obama and his administration, including the FBI, Justice Department, the intelligence agencies and the State Department, using the fake dossier as a source for FISA warrants and to infiltrate the Trump campaign with informants. (they obviously didn't believe their record or policies would win the votes). Instead of the media and other Democrats caring about this pure corruption they have participated in perpetuating the lies about Russian collusion for over three years.
  • The Obama Administration, at the Justice Department, EPA and CFPB using taxpayer money for political purposes and political supporters by creating slush funds from money confiscated from businesses that they pretended would go to victims. 
If the media and Democrats want to investigate anything, how about a possible corrupt payback from Netflix to Obama? Obama gave the very wealthy Netlfix, Google and others huge financial benefits with net neutrality and Netflix gave the Obama's a huge contract even though they had no video production expertise or experience. It is similar to paying Biden's son huge amounts of money with no expertise. 
But now when President Trump may have said something to a foreign leader about investigating corruption by Biden's son, that is supposed to be an impeachable offense. Shouldn't a President want political corruption by politicians to be investigated? Shouldn't the media and other Democrats be more concerned about the corruption itself than the phone call?
From this story, it appears that the media and other Democrats believe that every phone call that Trump makes to a foreign leader should become public knowledge if any bureaucrat makes a whistle blower report when they disagree with something the president does. That would certainly be cumbersome, and foreign leaders would no longer want to have discussions if every discussion could be made public. 
Elizabeth Warren says she wants to get rid of corruption but not once have I heard her complain about the massive corruption during the Obama years or at her precious CFPB, so she really doesn't care. 
Isn't it odd that no bureaucrats seemed to care about the corruption of Obama/Biden?  It shows why we need to drain the swamp.

Democrats as a protection racket? Ed Buck makes it a trifecta

The New York Times has been trying to dismiss the arrest of Ed Buck, a Democratic fatcat who had a thing for injecting young black men with drugs before paying them for sex, as a "small-time Democratic donor," but the facts on the ground suggest he was a rather big one. And maybe that's a function of the paper's desire to protect its masters, the Democrats. They aren't known as Democratic operatives with bylines for nothing.
Fox Business has a rundown:
While Buck once identified himself as a conservative Republican, according to the Los Angeles Times, he became a national figure when he spearheaded the effort to impeach Arizona’s Republican Gov. Evan Mecham in the 1980s. He later made large donations to Democrats, including more than $500,000 since 2007, according to court documents filed by Moore's mother in a wrongful death suit pertaining to her son.
At the federal level, those include contributions to prominent Washington lawmakers as well as 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. At the local level, Buck has donated more than $51,000 to Los Angeles city and county officials, candidates, and affiliated parties dating to 2008.
In 2012, Buck contributed $100 to the campaign for Jackie Lacey for Los Angeles County District Attorney, and four years later, gave $1,400 to Eric Garcetti for Mayor of Los Angeles. Both Lacey and Garcetti still hold their titles.
The highest contribution was $13,000, according to the court papers, to former West Hollywood Mayor John Duran when he ran for county supervisor in 2014.
That doesn't sound too small-time to me.
And in fact, his ideological switcheroo sounds as though he found the Democrats a more suitable protection racket for his perversions than the Republicans. Who needs political beliefs when the real belief is perversion and that's what he needs protected?
It's actually part of the pattern with these scandals. Pervert with big vices donates cash to Democrats to ensure his protection from the cops. Harvey Weinstein knew it, that was what his Planned Parenthood and other woke cause donations bought for him - a capacity to prey on young actresses trying to win roles. Jeffrey Epstein knew it too, donating to leftist Bill Clinton causes in order to buy enough influence to enable him to prey on underage girls with impunity, spiriting them to his pervert island for himself along with his highly connected Democrat buddies. Both had added payoffs in that Weinstein then had the power to threaten actresses and reporters who threatened to tell on him, while Epstein had blackmail material on very powerful people which kept them on his string.
Now we have the sorry case of Ed Buck, a creep who enjoyed paying for sex with young black men while poisoning them with drugs, and then relying on his political donations to ensure the cops looked the other way. Note that quite a few of his donations were to Los Angeles local officials, all of them Democrats. Assuming this tweet's images are not manipulated, look at the range of Buck's Democrats:

Combine it with media malfeasance - the mainstream media tried to turn down Ronan Farrow's report on Weinstein, it tried to pin the Epstein scandal on President Trump, and now it's trying to persuade us that Buck was just small fry, and the protection racket seems complete.
With so many of these perverts turning up in the Democrat donor base as well as organizations such as Planned Parenthood, one wonders if these are the only ones out there. Is the Democratic Party held together in no small part by freaks using politics as their 'vaccination' from scrutiny? Are their perversions and the need to protect them at the root of why these groups are so powerful and Democrats are so extreme and inflexible on issues such as abortion? Might that be why they're so out of step with even the Democratic voting public? And why are the Democrats the more hospitable party for such a sorry scenario? Why are they the party of perverts? It actually isn't just these three, it's quite a few of them as I noted here. A lot of such characters have turned up in a very, very short time and the pattern is exactly the same for each. How many more are there? What does Ted Lieu, Adam Schiff, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats who've benefited from Buck's bucks have to say about this? And why aren't all of the Democrats confronting this?
