Joe Biden has often said during his presidential campaign that we
are in a “battle for America’s soul.” A nice soundbite, but Biden is already
conceding this battle to globalists who disdain American sovereignty. Indeed,
Biden is an extreme globalist himself. And Biden has for the most part been
AWOL in the battle being waged for America’s soul over the founding ideals of
our nation, which are under attack by the far-left progressive base of the
Democratic Party. After weeks of silence, Biden finally spoke out on June 30th in favor of protecting the statues
and monuments of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. But Biden’s political
correctness prevents him from standing up strongly for American exceptionalism
against the mobs in the streets and the mainstream media.
As we honor our nation’s independence on July 4th, we should reflect on the timeless
words in the Declaration of Independence penned by Thomas Jefferson: “We hold
these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights,
Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the
consent of the governed…”
Joe Biden garbled these words in one of his typical gaffes,
declaring instead: “We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women
are created, by the, you know, you know the thing.” However, even when Biden
was more articulate in restating America’s founding ideals in his 2017
New York Times op-ed article, he (or his ghost writer) went off the
rails by trying to characterize President Trump’s America First policies as
antithetical to those ideals.
To the contrary, America First policies to protect America’s
sovereignty are critical to protecting Americans’ liberties and rights that
America’s constitutional system of self-government is designed to secure. As
George Washington warned, “the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly
awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the
most baneful foes of republican government.”
The International Criminal Court (“ICC”) is a prime example of the
threat that globalist institutions pose to the American people’s system of
self-government. The United States is not a treaty member of the Rome Statute
that established the ICC. Thus, the ICC has no jurisdiction to investigate,
prosecute, or put Americans on trial, which is the province of America’s own
law enforcement and judicial institutions. Nevertheless, the ICC’s Prosecutor,
Fatou Bensouda, is intent on commencing a formal investigation into alleged war
crimes and crimes against humanity by U.S. soldiers and intelligence officers
linked to the conflict in Afghanistan. The Trump administration vigorously
opposes this intrusive attempt to override the U.S. judicial system under some
fuzzy interpretation of “international law.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has denounced the ICC as a
“kangaroo court.” He said that “we oppose any effort by the ICC to exercise
jurisdiction over U.S. personnel. We will not tolerate its inappropriate and
unjust attempts to investigate or prosecute Americans. When our personnel are
accused of a crime, they face justice in our country.”
Back in 2018, President Trump said during his address to the
United Nations General Assembly: “The ICC claims near-universal jurisdiction
over the citizens of every country, violating all principles of justice,
fairness, and due process. We will never surrender America’s sovereignty to an
unelected, unaccountable, global bureaucracy.”
President Trump is battling for the “soul of America” when he
protects American citizens from the ICC’s grasp. Without an America First
president standing up against the ICC, the American people would be thrown back
to the intolerable circumstances from which our founding fathers broke free, as
described in our Declaration of Independence: (1) subjected "to a
jurisdiction foreign to our constitution and unacknowledged by our laws";
(2) "depriv[ed] of the benefits of Trial by Jury"; and (3)
"transport[ed] beyond [the] Seas to be tried for pretended offences."

The rule of law in this country depends on robust law enforcement.
The police must have the resources they need to maintain law and order. But the
police are increasingly under attack by leftist politicians who blame the
police for their responses to rioters and looters. These politicians want to
eliminate or sharply reduce police department budgets. As the police are
prevented from doing their jobs, homicides and other violent crimes go up. It
is already happening in New York City and other cities around the country. The
victims of homicides are often blacks whose lives should also matter.
Joe Biden was once an avid supporter of the police. Not anymore.
While Biden has not yet called for the complete defunding of police
departments, he has criticized law enforcement’s responses to the recent spate
of looting and violence. To combat what he claims is systemic racism within
police departments across the country, Biden wants to expand the Obama-Biden
administration’s policy of federal oversight of local police departments,
including vowing to create a police oversight commission in his first 100 days
as president.
There is no systemic racism embedded in police departments across
the country. The good police officers who put their lives on the line every day
far outnumber the tiny percentage of rogue cops. Actual data, rather than
polemics, tell the story. According to data for 2019 as compiled in a “mapping
police violence” database, police killed 28 unarmed blacks. In 2015, during the
Obama administration, the number of police killings of unarmed blacks had
reached 78, which is 2.78 times the 2019 number. The number of unarmed whites
killed by police in 2019 was 51. In 2015, the number was 91, which is 1.57
times the 2019 number. The trend line since 2015 is down for police killings of
unarmed blacks and whites, but the downward trend for police killings of
unarmed blacks is more pronounced. Also, it is worth noting that, according to
statistics reported to the FBI, nearly six times as many white law enforcement
officers (40) were killed as a result of felonious acts in line-of-duty
incidents in 2019 than black officers (7). But despite the facts, Biden panders
to the far-left America bashers he wants to vote for him.
Joe Biden has also bought into the far-left progressive notion
that America has yet to grapple with, as he put it, “the original sin of
slavery, brought to these shores over 400 years ago.” The United States has
grappled with slavery and ended it after a civil war that cost hundreds of
thousands of lives. Those lost lives mattered too.
Though serving for two terms with an African-American president
who was elected with the significant support of white voters, Biden is
regurgitating the far-left progressive lie that there is systemic racism in
every facet of American life. Biden claimed that “it's not just in law
enforcement, it's across the board. It's in housing, it's in education, and
it's in everything we do.” In a bow to political correctness and the left’s
thought police, Biden said that in order to eradicate the racism that has been
“a fixture in our society for hundreds of years” we must all “examine our own
conduct, our deeply ingrained habits and our own thinking.” What about Biden
examining his own conduct and thinking during his decades in public service
when he did nothing to solve the problem that he is now laying at President
Trump's feet?
The far-left progressives are already infiltrating the curricula
of our public schools, rewriting American history to fit their sick dogma of
“racial capitalism,” which finds “systemic racism” and “oppression” inflicted
on people of color in every part of American society. The 1619 Project
materials, debunked by notable historians and heavily slanted in a Marxist
fashion against capitalism, are being increasingly used in classrooms to
indoctrinate K-12 students across the United States to hate their own country.
This is not only a battle for America’s soul today. It is the battle for the
souls of America’s future generations and America’s future identity as a
nation. Joe Biden is showing that he is on the wrong side of these battle
lines.

Nearly 30 years ago the Cold War ended with the collapse of the
Soviet Empire. Communism, the last challenge to the Western paradigm of liberal
democracy and free trade, disappeared, defeated by the same free-world alliance
that had vanquished earlier totalitarian foes like fascism and Nazism. History
understood not as events but as a tournament of conflicting
socio-politico-economic orders had ended. A “new world order,” over a century
in the making, finally had won.

That heady optimism was expressed by George H.W. Bush in his 1991
State of the Union address. The disintegration of the Soviet Union seemingly
confirmed the triumph of democracy, free markets, and transnational
institutions, or as Bush said, “a new world order, where diverse nations are
drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of
mankind––peace and security, freedom, and the rule of law.”
The Nineties saw several developments that seemingly confirmed
Bush’s optimism about the future: The swift defeat of the brutal dictator
Saddam Hussein, and the ending of revanchist violence in the Balkans by
multinational coalitions; the expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia; the
creation of the European Union by the Maastricht Treaty, and the welcoming of
communist China into the World Trade Organization. All were signs of history’s
“end.” At the same time, the tech revolution was relentlessly shrinking the
world further, facilitating global trade and global communication through the
World Wide Web, more powerful computers, email, and social media.
Over the last three decades, however, three disruptions have
challenged the assumptions of a Kantian “perpetual peace” based a “rules-based
international order” that reflects a new “harmony of interests” among the
world’s peoples. Each crisis has exposed the flawed assumptions behind the
naïve optimism and arrogant over-confidence of those in the West who have
promoted, built, and managed this paradigm.

Strategy, defined the foreign policy of the United States as promoting a

in every society.” Bush returned to these themes in his inaugural speech in
January 2005––while the failure of remaking Iraq and Afghanistan was still
obvious. He linked U.S. security and global peace to the “force of human
freedom” and the expansion of democracy: “The survival of liberty in our land
increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope
for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.”

New World Order’s banishment of religion to the realm of the private was
exposed as a mistake, and its global identity revealed to be an artifact of
Western elites that did not capture even their own peoples’ varied and distinct
identities.
The election of Donald Trump for now has led to a retreat from
policies that reflect this unwarranted and arrogant belief in transforming
Muslim nations into Western liberal democracies. But the foreign policy
establishment, evidenced in its hostility to Trump, still defends this bankrupt
paradigm. They have continually criticized his weakening of the “rules-based
international order,” especially his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, his
pressuring NATO members to live up to their pledge to spend 2% of GDP on
defense, and his “America First” foreign policy principle and frank
nationalism.
Despite Trump’s pushback and the pause in major terror attacks,
Islamic jihadism remains a potent threat. And it threatens the New World Order,
evidenced by Iran’s race to acquire nuclear weapons. Finally, it repudiates the
fundamental assumptions of a common global identity and a “harmony of
interests” underlying that order.
2007-9: The Great Recession

BANKSTERS. NO ONE IN AMERICAN HISTORY HAS BEEN IN BED WITH BANKSTERS MORE THAN
OBAMA-BIDEN.
The Great Recession exposed the dangers of a globally integrated
economic system. It began in a feckless government policy in the U.S. that
relaxed standards for home mortgages, particularly interest rates, in order to
increase minority home ownership. A real estate
bubble followed, and Wall Street wolves took advantage by creating risky
financial instruments for marketing these sketchy mortgages. When lending rates
increased and the bubble burst, financial institutions were damaged, infecting
the whole global economy. Unemployment in the U.S. reached over 10%, GM declared bankruptcy,
banks disappeared, and consumer spending slowed. What followed with the
election of Barack Obama was one of the slowest economic recoveries in history,
and economists proclaimed growth of GDP would remain at 2% indefinitely.
In Europe, the sovereign debt crisis and bank failures revealed
fault lines in the EU project. Its economic regulations and the single
currency, managed by Brussels and its elite transnational technocrats, were
exposed as incoherent: A single currency with various economic policies
determined by distinct sovereign nations was always a recipe for disaster.
Particularly in the Mediterranean South, interventions by the EU, the European
Central Bank, and the International Monetary Fund were accompanied by demands
for fiscal austerity that the Southern tier felt to be high-handed and
arrogant.
Suddenly the “one Europe” version of the New World Order, in which
national differences were subordinated to a transnational governing elite, was
fissuring. National differences in cultures and mores were still important and
acted as centrifugal forces, straining the bonds of the Union. For all the
global elite’s denigration of nationalism, Germans are still Germans, and
Italians are still Italians, with different historical memories, different
attitudes toward work and leisure, and different expectations of what
governments should do for its citizens.
These divisions have not healed, and indeed were widened by the
2015 crisis of migration from the war-torn Middle East of mostly young male
Muslims, including large numbers of jihadist terrorists. The Schengen Zone of
open travel among European states was now revealed to be dangerous, and many
countries reinstated border controls. Terror attacks increased in frequency and
lethality, and entry states like Italy and Greece resented having to bear the
disorder resulting from migrants transiting through their countries to the
welfare paradises of northern Europe. Eastern European members simply refused
to accept the EU mandated quotas for migrants professing a faith that for a
millennium had attacked, conquered, and occupied their territories.
The Great Recession uncovered deep flaws in the globally
integrated economy, one of which is the dismissal of national identities and
cultures. It seems that Joseph de Maistre was right: “Now, there is no such
thing as ‘man’ in this world. In my life I have seen Frenchmen, Italians,
Russians, and so on . . . . But as for man, I declare I’ve never encountered
him.” There are no “citizens of the world,” nor is there a “global community”
beyond the tiny globalist elite.
2020: The Coronavirus Pandemic
The fracturing of the EU has been worsened by the pandemic. The
divide between the EU North and South has widened even further, as already
strapped economies are nearing collapse, such as Italy’s, the fourth largest in
the EU, with France not far behind. That calamity can be averted only by the
successful northern economies that will pay up or see more countries abandon
the EU as did Great Britain.

More significant is the dysfunctions in the West’s relationship
with China. Like the formation of the EU, bringing China and its totalitarian
communist regime into the World Trade Organization was a milestone in the
expansion and consolidation of the New World Order. China’s role in the
pandemic, particularly in obscuring the origins, scope, and infectability of
the outbreak, and in attempting to blame it on the U.S., confirmed what more
than 25 years of its bad behavior should have taught us: an illiberal,
culturally different country ruled by ruthless autocrats cannot be trusted to
abide by the terms of an institution based on principles and values it does not
share.
Rather, those laws and conditions will be, as Jonathon Swift put
it, “like cobwebs, which may catch small flies, but let wasps and hornets break
through.” Since it joined the WTO in the Nineties China has violated
trade agreements, stolen intellectual and technical property, dumped products,
manipulated its currency, and committed other violations to gain an economic
advantage over its rivals, particularly the U.S. Worse yet, in our globalist
delusions about the transformative powers of free trade, we have outsourced
critical industries, such as computer chips and pharmaceuticals, to China,
giving them potent leverage over us. The “rules-based international order” has
merely afforded China the mechanisms and cover for undermining the economies of
the West and increasing China’s global power.
Finally, the virus crisis has stripped the pretensions of the
technocratic foundations of the New World Order, discrediting its progressive
champions and their naïve faith in science as transcending professional
interests, partisan biases, political ideologies, and nationalist loyalties.
Real science and technology work well for understanding and manipulating
the material world, but are less reliable when humans––defined by their passions
and interests, their self-awareness, and their undetermined free will––become
part of the equation. Then certainty and predictability become rare and
transient, lying as they do beyond the “complexity horizon,” as mathematician
John Allen Paulos calls it, “that limit or edge beyond which social laws,
events, and regularities are so complex as to be unfathomable, seemingly
random.”
The past few months have confirmed this assessment. The “experts”
we have relied on to advise our leaders during the crisis have been
inconsistent and sometimes incoherent in their prescriptions, vitiated as they
are by incomplete data, flawed models, questionable assumptions, and political
pressures. As a result, panic, hysteria, and political rent-seeking have
flourished, leading to policies like quarantining the healthy, productive young
and shutting down a thriving economy, throwing the country into a recession on
its way to becoming a depression. As a result, lives have been needlessly lost
and others will be ruined for years to come, while trillions of dollars have
been added to budget deficits and the national debt.
Time to Decide
The Trump administration has made some critical moves towards
realizing that goal of dismantling some of the New World Order, particularly in
terms of China. But as the fierce, relentless domestic and international hatred
of Trump shows, the global managerial elite will fight hard and dirty to
protect its interests.
We will see in the coming months whether the crisis will make us
all rethink our unexamined assumptions about technocratic globalism, the
transnational institutions of the “rules-based international order,” the
one-world delusions about bringing democracy and freedom to cultures
inhospitable to the principles and virtues necessary for those goods, and the
outsized authority and power we reflexively grant to government “experts” to
solve all our problems, even those that lie beyond the ken of science, and
depend on our own common sense, practical wisdom, morals, and virtues.
Or we will watch as our unalienable rights, national sovereignty,
and freedom, already assaulted by government autocrats, are further eroded. The
choice is ours.

George H.W. Bush’s plan for a “New World Order” with global integration of the
United States’ economy has made the ruling class richer while eroding “the
middle class way of life” in America, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) says.
In an interview on The Realignment podcast,
Hawley described how the long-held push by both political
establishments to massively globalize the American economy has been at the
expense of U.S. workers while the ruling class and their allies in the donor
class have profited.
Hawley said:
If I have to give you a sense of the kind of vision that I think
voters rejected, President Bush … gave a speech to Congress in 1990
where he talked about a ‘New World Order,’ and he was saying this of
the situation in the context with Iraq, but he talked broadly about a
‘New global liberal order’ that of course America would lead, that it would
involve America making the world much more like America and the rest of the
world kind of blending in with America … and there wouldn’t be
the need for hard borders any longer, and we’d have free trade, and
we’d have great multinational cooperation, and we’d have these multinational
corporations that can do business in any country, and it would be a whole new
era. [Emphasis added]

Well, as it turns out — first of all, China and Russia
didn’t get the memo on that — secondly, as it turns out, that ‘New World Order’
wasn’t good for American workers. And as it turned out, it didn’t
protect American middle class values. As it turned out, it
undermined the middle class way of life. [Emphasis added]
Hawley said the ruling class is primarily a “small group of
people” from a “fairly narrow band of colleges and graduate schools” who
largely agree on the most challenging issues facing the nation and oppose the
traditionalism of middle American communities.
“They also tend to be the winners of this global integration.
George Bush’s ‘New World Order,’ the people who have been in charge of the
parties who run the media, who hold commanding heights in our culture; they win
from that agreement,” Hawley said of the ruling class. “They’re doing great;
they are the wealthy in our society. They are the ones who are globally
integrated and global facing.”
Hawley continued:
They also tend to be skeptical of places like Missouri and of
things like home and community. So they say that they value those things, but
you listen to somebody … and somebody says, “I’m not going to move from this
small town even though I’m having trouble finding a job because my family is
here and because this is where we’ve lived for generations and this is where my
friends are and I want to make a life here.” A lot of D.C. elites in both
parties listen to that and they’re like, “That’s crazy.”
As Breitbart News has chronicled, free trade has helped gut working and middle
class American jobs and stripped whole middle American towns of their
industries and livelihoods.
Since the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed
and China was allowed to enter the World Trade Organization (WTO), five million American manufacturing jobs and
more than 50,000 manufacturing facilities have been eliminated from the U.S.
economy. This mass elimination of jobs due to free trade has coincided
with an almost 600 percent increase in trade deficits.
In recent years, the
economic recovery from the Great Recession disproportionately benefitted elite zip codes. For
example, by 2016, elite zip codes had a surplus of 3.6 million jobs, which
is more than the combined bottom 80 percent of American zip codes. While
populations have grown in major cities where the wealthiest of Americans live,
rural communities have continued to shrink.

When you read about the genesis of the relationship in the 70s during the first part of the book, it looked merely like the cozy insider-only type of stuff that is common in the fabric of corporate America and most human relationships.
But the nuance Unger uncovers with his hawk-like ability to pull minutiae from rivers of source material outlines a darker agenda. His fact finding mission lays bare a Saudi elite trying to nudge the levers of power in Washington. And with this insight, Unger explains the nearly invisible pattern in which money buys powers in America. Unger’s work uncovers so many conspicuous connections amongst so many smart, ambitious men that coincidence is ruled out as the cause. Complicity makes the case here as well as any outsider like Unger can.
But the circumstantial nature of this book cannot be completely swept away. Unger has grokked the nefarious nature of this relationship but is missing the proverbial smoking gun. There is no ipso facto ‘A funded B which lead to C relationship’ outlined in the book. The closest we get to this as a reader is when the Bin Laden family and other Saudi royals are ferried out of the country while the FAA has all airspace on lockdown, a fascinating story that makes the TSA’s security theatre we endure at every airport comically irksome.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) says the World Trade Organization
(WTO) should be abolished in the wake of the Chinese coronavirus.
In an op-ed for the New York Times, Hawley
credits the WTO with helping to empower “China’s rise” while weakening American
workers:

Organization. Its mandate was to promote free trade, but the organization instead
allowed some nations to maintain trade barriers and protectionist workarounds,
like China, while preventing others from defending themselves, like the United
States. Foreign agriculture won concession after concession, while
American farmers struggled to get fair access to markets.Meanwhile, the W.T.O.
required American workers to compete against Chinese forced labor but did
next to nothing to stop Chinese theft of American intellectual property and

Under the W.T.O.’s
auspices, capital and goods moved across borders easier than before, no doubt,
but so did jobs. And too many jobs left America’s borders for
elsewhere. As factories closed, workers suffered, from small towns to the
urban core. Inflation-adjusted, working wages stagnated and upward mobility
flatlined. [Emphasis added]
Enough is
enough. The W.T.O. should be abolished, and along with it, the new model
global economy. The quest to turn the world into a liberal order of
democracies was always misguided. It always depended on unsustainable
American sacrifice and force of arms. And its companion economic order has, in
a similar vein, succeeded mostly in weakening American workers and industry.

The U.S., Hawley writes,
ought to “seek new arrangements and new rules” to restore the nation’s economic
sovereignty — which includes returning to the economic system before the WTO’s
creation, where reciprocal trade “protected our national interests and the
nation’s workers.” Hawley writes:
That means returning
production to this country, securing our critical supply chains and encouraging
domestic innovation and manufacturing. It means striking trade deals that are
truly mutual and truly beneficial for America and walking away when they are
not. It means building a new network of trusted friends and partners to resist
Chinese economic imperialism.
Since the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was enacted and China entered the World
Trade Organization (WTO), nearly five million American manufacturing
jobs have been eliminated from the American economy — 3.4 million of which are due to U.S. free
trade with China. The mass elimination of working- and middle-class jobs
and depressed U.S. wages due to NAFTA and China’s entering the WTO have
coincided with a more than 600 percent increase in trade deficits.
Of the 3.4 million
American jobs lost due to free trade with China, about 2.6 million — or about
three-fourths — were lost in the crippled manufacturing industry. U.S. trade
deficits with China have eliminated American jobs in all 50 states.

The economics director at President George W. Bush’s advocacy
center slammed President Donald Trump’s popular, pro-American immigration
policy.
The May 1 slam came just
before Bush posted a May 2 video urging national unity in the coronavirus crash
that has pushed more than 25 million Americans out of jobs.
“The most
important thing to remember in this is that we don’t want [Trump’s] temporary
policy to become permanent immigration policy,” economic director Laura Collins
said a video posted on the center’s Twitter account. She continued:
We know
immigrants are good for the economy. We know they’re good for our culture. We
know they’re in this fight with us together, and we’re going to meet them
working with us side by side in any recovery after the pandemic is over.
Trump’s
April 22 immigration policy says the economic needs of American
employees are more important than the immigration preferences of foreigners.
His policy temporarily trims the annual inflow of legal immigrants and directs
agencies to review visa worker programs in 30 days.
Polls show the public — including recent immigrants — is overwhelmingly aligned with
Trump in prioritizing jobs for Americans over welcomes for legal immigrants.
The visa
worker programs targeted by Trump are extremely important to the Fortune 500.
In response, the companies’ lobbyists and progressives allies have quickly
launched a hard-nosed lobbying campaign and a soft-focus PR campaign to protect the programs
and mass migration.

Congress now accepts 1
million legal immigrants per year.
It also allows companies
to keep roughly 2 million cheap and complaint foreign visa-workers in U.S.
jobs. The 2 million workforce includes roughly 1.5 million foreign white-collar
visa workers, plus roughly 400,000 foreign blue-collar guest workers, in
professional or seasonal jobs needed by roughly 26 million unemployed
Americans.
Collins touted the
corporate PR campaign, dubbed #AllofUs, in her video slamming Trump’s
pro-employee policy.

nation emerges from quarantine, it will take all of us working together to
restart our economy.
“The
stated objectives of this executive order were to preserve medical supplies in

any recovery for American workers that can be first in line,” Collins said her
video posted May 1.
She
continued:
Unfortunately,
this executive order is not going to accomplish either of those objectives.
First of
all, the virus affects all of us equally. It doesn’t care who we are, or where
we’re from. Current travel restrictions and quarantine protocols in place,
protect us from viral spread regardless of where we’re from. And so there’s not
really a need to prevent more people from coming in in terms of slowing down
viral spread. We know the virus is here and it’s spreading. And what we’re
doing is working.
However,
Collins’ main focus is the economic worry that Trump’s reform may permanently
reduce the unending inflow of foreign workers, consumers, and renters preferred
by CEOs and investors. She said:
We know
immigrants are good for the economy. We know immigrants don’t compete with
native-born Americans for jobs. And we know that before the pandemic, there were
millions of unfilled jobs in the United States.
If we
assume that in any recovery, all those jobs come back, every American that
wants a job will have the ability to fill the jobs that were there. We’re still
going to have shortages and we’re going to need immigrants there to help fill
those jobs.
We simply
don’t have a labor force at full employment, big enough to fill all the jobs in
the economy.
Immigrants
— like the birth of Americans’ children — help grow the economy. They expand
the labor force, boost retail sales, spike real estate values, fuel the stock
market, and expand the number of companies. A growing economy can be good for
all — but it is especially good for wealthy people who can invest in company
stocks.
Yet every
annual wave of immigrants also causes much economic harm to the roughly 220
million Americans (and recent legal immigrants) who work for a living, or who
are educating themselves to take jobs in a few years.
Every new
wave of legal immigrants and illegal migrants competes for existing jobs and
force down Americans’ wages. The arrivals also expand poverty, reduce pressure on investors to
buy productivity-boosting machines, drive up the price of good housing,
and add congestion to K-12 schools and universities.
Immigrants,
and especially visa workers, also push Americans out of careers and technological research, and they distort Americans’ politics
by expanding cultural diversity and identity politics.
Over
the last 30 years, since George Bush’s father signed a
1990 bill roughly doubling immigration, the government’s massive inflow of
immigrants has kept Americans wages almost flat (until 2018) and so has
turbocharged the U.S. stock market.
The
establishment’s immigration policy has worked with free trade to shift much
wealth from middle-class employees and the heartland states towards the stock
market and the major coastal cities.
Trump was
elected in 2016 to help reverse the establishment’s economic policy.
Since
2017, he has mostly stopped illegal migration, and he pushed wages up for
blue-collars in 2018 and 2019. He has also trimmed legal immigration, and his
April 22 policy sets the stage for incremental, significant reductions in the
visa worker programs, such as the little-known B-1 and OPT visa programs.
Business

Collins’
pro-migration views reflect George W. Bush’s pro-business leaning and his 2001
push to allow U.S. employers to bypass Americans and instead hire any willing
workers from anywhere on the globe. The 2001 Twin Towers attack stopped Bush’s
“Any Willing Worker” plan.
Collins
insisted, “We know immigrants don’t compete with native-born Americans for
jobs.”
If
immigrants “do jobs that Americans won’t do”, we should be able to identify
occupations in which the workers are nearly all foreign-born. However, among
the 474 separate occupations defined by the Department of Commerce, we find
only a handful of majority-immigrant occupations, and none completely dominated
by immigrants (legal or illegal). Furthermore, in none of the 474 occupations
do illegal immigrants constitute a majority of workers.

United States Senate candidate Jeff Sessions says there is no
shortage of American labor, calling out lawmakers and their “corporate friends”
for supporting a continued flow of foreign workers to the U.S. to take jobs in
the midst of mass unemployment.
In an exclusive
interview with Alexander Marlow on SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News
Daily, Sessions said it is critical that lawmakers defend the interests of
unemployed Americans who have been laid off due to forced business closures
spurred by the Chinese coronavirus crisis.
LISTEN:
“We have 30 million
unemployed … We don’t have jobs in the United States,” Sessions said. “There
are no jobs now. We’ll lay off more people this week then we did last week.”
“Why would we bring in
foreign workers to take jobs when we don’t have jobs for the American people,”
Sessions asked. “What theory is it that they’re operating under when they try
to justify such a policy position? It’s certainly not in the interest of the
American people. It’s in the interest of their corporate friends and some
ideology that they adhere to … so I do think that it’s time for this Congress
to deliver on its promises that the president made in the campaign.”
Sessions said more
Republican lawmakers must be stepping up to the plate to take on China, holding
the communist regime accountable for wrecking the U.S. economy. A select
committee in the House and Senate, Sessions said, ought to be formed to
determine the truth behind China’s role in spreading the coronavirus to the
world.
“Where are the rest of
the Republicans? Where are they? I mean this is a big issue,” Sessions said.
“This party owes it to the American people to defend our interests — American
interests. And I don’t think there’s been near enough action.”
“I would think the first
thing we need to do is to rally the people who understand the significance of
this and have what I call for, is a select committee to study this pandemic and
how it started,” Sessions continued. “We did that after the attack on Pearl
Harbor … where House and Senate appoint select members of congress … and the
charge is what did China know and what did they do, when did they act on it or
not, and did they lie about it? The world needs to know.”
As Breitbart has reported, existing U.S. legal immigration law
greatly benefits China. Visa programs such as the EB-5 visa for wealthy foreign investors, the F-1 student
visa, and J-1 visas allow about 180,000 Chinese nationals to enter the
country every year in addition to the 60,000 to 70,000 Chinese nationals who
secure green cards annually.
There are nearly 500,000 Chinese students in the U.S. in
any given year — more than any other nation — taking seats in university
classrooms and looking to eventually obtain Optional Practical Training (OPT)
authorization to take entry-level jobs in white-collar professions.
Josh Hawley: GOP Must Defend Middle Class Americans Against
‘Concentrated Corporate Power,’ Tech Billionaires

The
Republican Party must defend America’s working and middle class against
“concentrated corporate power” and the monopolization of entire sectors of the
United States’ economy, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) says.
In an interview on The
Realignment podcast, Hawley said that “long gone are the days
where” American workers can depend on big business to look out for their needs
and the needs of their communities.
Instead, Hawley explained that increasing “concentrated
corporate power” of whole sectors of the American economy — specifically among
Silicon Valley’s giant tech conglomerates — is at the expense of working and
middle class Americans.
“One of the things Republicans need to recover today is a
defense of an open, free-market, of a fair healthy competing market and the
length between that and Democratic citizenship,” Hawley said, and continued:
At the end of the day, we are trying to support and sustain here
a great democracy. We’re not trying to make a select group of people rich.
They’ve already done that. The tech billionaires are already billionaires, they
don’t need any more help from government. I’m not interested in trying to help
them further. I’m interested in trying to help sustain the great middle of this
country that makes our democracy run and that’s the most important challenge of
this day.
“You have these businesses who for years now have said ‘Well,
we’re based in the United States, but we’re not actually an American company,
we’re a global company,'” Hawley said. “And you know, what has driven profits
for some of our biggest multinational corporations? It’s been … moving jobs
overseas where it’s cheaper … moving your profits out of this country so you
don’t have to pay any taxes.”
“I think that we have here at the same time that our economy has
become more concentrated, we have bigger and bigger corporations that control
more and more of our key sectors, those same corporations see themselves as
less and less American and frankly they are less committed to American workers
and American communities,” Hawley continued. “That’s turned out to be a problem
which is one of the reasons we need to restore good, healthy, robust
competition in this country that’s going to push up wages, that’s going to
bring jobs back to the middle parts of this country, and most importantly, to
the middle and working class of this country.”
While multinational corporations monopolize industries, Hawley
said the GOP must defend working and middle class Americans and that big
business interests should not come before the needs of American communities:
A free market is one where you can enter it, where there are new
ideas, and also by the way, where people can start a small family business, you
shouldn’t have to be gigantic in order to succeed in this country. Most people
don’t want to start a tech company. [Americans] maybe want to work in
their family’s business, which may be some corner shop in a small town …
they want to be able to make a living and then give that to their kids or give
their kids an option to do that. [Emphasis added]
The problem with corporate concentration is that it tends to
kill all of that. The worst thing about corporate concentration is that it
inevitably believes to a partnership with big government. Big business and
big government always get together, always. And that is exactly what has
happened now with the tech sector, for instance, and arguably many other
sectors where you have this alliance between big government and big business …
whatever you call it, it’s a problem and it’s something we need to address.

Hawley blasted the free trade-at-all-costs doctrine that has
dominated the Republican and Democrat Party establishments for decades,
crediting the globalist economic model with hollowing “out entire industries,
entire supply chains” and sending them to China, among other countries.
“The thing is in this country is that not only do we not make
very much stuff anymore, we don’t even make the machines that make the stuff,”
Hawley said. “The entire supply chain up and down has gone overseas, and a lot
of it to China, and this is a result of policies over some decades now.”
As Breitbart News reported, Hawley detailed in
the interview how Republicans like former President George H.W. Bush’s ‘New
World Order’ agenda and Democrats have helped to create a corporatist economy
that disproportionately benefits the nation’s richest executives and donor
class.
The billionaire class, the top 0.01 percent of earners, has
enjoyed more than
15 times as much wage growth as the bottom 90 percent since 1979. That economy
has been reinforced with federal rules that largely benefits the wealthiest of wealthiest
earners. A study released last
month revealed that the richest Americans are, in fact, paying a lower tax rate
than all other Americans.
“And then
we have to get to work on the healing of our homeland, repairing the many social
and cultural injuries and injustices caused by turbo-capitalism.”
President George H.W. Bush’s plan for a “New World Order” with global
integration of the United States’ economy has made the ruling class richer
while eroding “the middle class way of life” in America, Sen. Josh Hawley
(R-MO) says.
Efforts by the big business lobby,

If Virgil told you about an article arguing that the current
system can’t handle the challenges of globalization—pointing to “the completely
unprecedented personal economic insecurity of working people, from industrial
workers and white-collar clerks to medium-high managers”—you might be inclined
to react as follows: “That’s old news. I’ve read a hundred articles
making that point, again and again, over the last few years—quite a few of
them, in fact, at Breitbart News.”
Okay, but
what if Virgil told you that this particular article was written in…1994? As
in, a full quarter-century ago? In other words, way ahead of its time?
It’s
worth recalling that back in 1994, in the wake of the end of the Cold War, the
elites were in love with globalization; they were avidly consuming utopian
books such as The Borderless World, The End of History,
and The Twilight of Sovereignty.
And yes,
1994 was the year that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) went
into effect. As President Bill Clinton said as he signed the trade treaty,
“NAFTA means jobs. American jobs, and good-paying American jobs.” In
fact, Clinton mentioned the word “jobs” a full 50 times in that
speech. Indeed, all that repetition might make one think that the 42nd
president was trying really hard to convince Americans that he
was telling the truth about their jobs.

Interestingly,
as Clinton spoke in support of the trade deal, he was joined at the podium by
former presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush; in other words, at the
elite level, support for NAFTA was virtually unanimous. Everything would
be wonderful, we were assured, if the globalists got their way.
Yet back
then, one observer was having none of this giddy optimism. In April 1994,
veteran D.C. think-tanker Edward Luttwak, writing in the London Review of Books, argued that trade deals such as NAFTA
were hollowing out Middle America—and that the elite didn’t either notice or
care: “Neither the moderate Right nor the moderate Left even recognizes, let
alone offers any solution for, the central problem of our days: the completely
unprecedented personal economic insecurity of working people, from industrial
workers and white-collar clerks to medium-high managers.”
Luttwak’s
point was that globalization and trade were a threat to the cultural and
economic structures of each and every developed country. That is,
long-standing and intricate systems of work and life were now being exposed to
the “tidal waves of change in the global economic ocean.”
Defenders
of such planetary tidal-waving said that it was inevitable, given that
countries such as Mexico and China were entering the world economy—and that as
they did so, of course they would be making big waves. And yet Luttwak’s
point was that the elites were neither noticing nor caring about the societal
impact of these waves crashing on the home country.

Luttwak
was especially cutting in his dismissal of the Republican response: “In this
situation, what does the moderate Right … have to offer? Only more free
trade and globalization, more deregulation and structural change, thus more
dislocation of lives and social relations.”
Luttwak
added that Republicans were in the curious position of being economic
libertarians and, at the same time, social
conservatives. That is, they were more than a little schizophrenic,
because wide-open economics typically pulverizes any particular cultural
heritage. As he put it, the standard Republican “after-dinner
speech is a two-part affair, in which part one celebrates the virtues of
unimpeded competition and dynamic structural change, while part two mourns the
decline of the family and community ‘values’ that were eroded precisely by the
forces commended in part one.”
Okay, so
Luttwak gets credit for being ahead of his time—way ahead. He had grasped
the reality that economic growth and transformation is dislocating, especially
when that economic growth is differentialized within the society, as owners
prosper and workers suffer.
As
Luttwak put it, the voguish business-consultant jargon of the era—concepts such
as “restructuring” and “re-engineering”—was mostly just code words for
downsizing and outsourcing. That is, a given company might “grow” by
slicing domestic employment and moving production overseas, but it was growing
only its own profits, not its contribution to American society.
Yes,
Luttwak’s was a lonely voice in 1994. And yet he knew that he was on to
something; in 1998 he published the equally prescient Turbo-Capitalism: Winners and Losers in
the Global Economy. Describing the contemporary system, he noted, “It enriches
industrializing poor countries, impoverishes the semi-affluent majority in rich
countries, and greatly adds to the incomes of the top 1 percent on both sides
who are managing the arbitrage.”
As we all
know, it took a couple of decades for people to see that Luttwak’s critique was
dead-on. Back in the ’90s and ’00s, the elite consensus held that if
planetary arbitrageurs—operating in financial and informational hubs such as
New York City and San Francisco—were prospering, that was a good enough sign
that everyone was prospering. In this reckoning, what’s good for Goldman
Sachs and Google is good for America. And
of course, if more immigrants—legal or otherwise—were needed to serve in the
service economy, well, that was good, too.

We can
add that this smug view was bipartisan: President George W. Bush shared Bill
Clinton’s economic opinions; indeed, if anything, Bush was even more of an
enthusiast for closer integration with Mexico. (Although, of course, Bush
ended devoting most of his presidency to the folly of closer integration with
Iraq and Afghanistan.) And as for Barack Obama, he was another
globalist—seeking closer integration with many countries, including China.
Thus it
took until the 2016 election for a presidential candidate to say,
“Enough!” That candidate, of course, was Donald Trump. (And in an odd
way, some of Trump’s anti-globalization arguments were echoed by another
prominent ’16 candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders.)

In the
memorable words of Stephen K. Bannon, head honcho at the Trump presidential
campaign and then for a time the top strategist in the Trump White House, “The
globalists gutted the American working class and created a middle class in
Asia.”
By now,
most national politicians, in both parties, pay at least lip service to the
Luttwak-Bannon argument; there’s a realization that the American middle class
paid the price while the bi-coastal elite reaped the reward. And that’s
why the various trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific trade deals favored by the
Obama administration, and Hillary Clinton, seem to be dead.
And as
an aside on the 2020 presidential campaign, post-Clinton Democrats, having
finally soured on Bill-and-Hill-style neoliberalism, are now targeting White
House hopeful Pete Buttigieg for his association with McKinsey & Co. That’s
the notorious and scandal-plagued “management consulting” firm
that’s been at the forefront of so many corporate decisions to lay off and to
outsource, among other forms of international skullduggery. Buttigieg is easily recognized as the
candidate most likely to revive those globalist trade deals, in keeping with
his overall Harvard mentality; no wonder he’s so popular with the Sonoma crystal wine-cave fundraisers.
Okay, so
Luttwak stands as a prophet. However, let’s hope that he isn’t proven to
be right about everything that he wrote back in
1994. After all, the headline atop Luttwak’s piece, a quarter-century ago
was scary. It bannered, “Why Fascism is the Wave of
the Future.” That’s right, the “F” word, Fascism.
Luttwak
was careful to point out that Fascism started out separate and
distinct from Nazism. That is, the Fascist movement of Benito
Mussolini, who took power in Italy in 1922, may have been un-democratic and
illiberal, but it was not Hitlerian in its war-mongering, antisemitic, and
genocidal evil. In fact, within the early Italian Fascist movement, Jews
were well represented. But then, of course, Mussolini took on
a catastrophic turn in the 1930s, after Hitler came to power in Germany, and
Italy signed on to Hitler’s Axis.

Mussolini
was later fully and criminally complicit in Hitler’s wickedness, and yet still,
Luttwak is right to draw a distinction between early Fascism and Nazism.
And so
it’s with the early-Mussolini model in mind that Luttwak argued, back in ’94,
that severe economic dislocation would open the door to unpleasant political
reaction:
… and
that is the space that remains wide open for a product-improved Fascist party,
dedicated to the enhancement of the personal economic security of the broad
masses of (mainly) white-collar working people. Such a party could even be
as free of racism as Mussolini’s original was until the alliance with Hitler,
because its real stock in trade would be corporativist restraints on corporate
Darwinism, and delaying if not blocking barriers against globalization.
Luttwak
himself is no Fascist, and yet as a learned historian and acute observer, he
could see, a quarter-century ago, that global trends were pushing Americans
toward the point where an anti-liberal backlash would come in full force.
Interestingly,
in that 1994 article, the American figure that Luttwak pointed to, as an early
indicator, was Ross Perot, the businessman-turned-populist. Perot was no
Fascist, but his success as a political outsider was, indeed, a stark
repudiation of the liberal and bipartisan status quo. Just two years
earlier, Perot had, of course, run for president as an independent, winning an
impressive 19 percent of the national vote. And what was one of Perot’s
signature issues? Why, it was his opposition to NAFTA. That trade
deal, he said, would create a “giant sucking sound,” as American jobs went
south of the border.

Perot
was mocked at the time, and yet, of course, he has been proven right, and
Clinton—plus fellow NAFTA cheerleaders Bush 41 and Bush 43—have been proven
wrong. Just as Luttwak said it would, NAFTA turbo-charged North America,
enriching the fat cats of Wall Street and Silicon Valley, while sending regular
jobs from Ohio to Mexico.

But okay,
just one last thing: What about that “F” word, “Fascism”? If Luttwak was
correct in his economic and social predictions, might he be correct, too, in
his political prediction, about the coming of a “product-improved Fascist
party”?
Today,
many on the left have their answer: Donald Trump is a Fascist. A
Google search of “Donald Trump” and “Fascist” elicits millions of hits,
including an October 2016 Washington Post op-ed entitled, “How fascist is Donald
Trump?” And just on December 21, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, speaking to an audience
in California, declared, “It is fascism, what we’re evolving
into.”
Of
course, the left was playing the “Fascist” smear game long before
Trump. Both Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan were routinely labeled as Fascists, as was George W. Bush. And in 2004, the leading liberal
group Moveon.org went there, equating Bush to, yes, Hitler.
Indeed,
as the liberal Atlantic magazine acknowledged in 2016, it’s been a standard
tactic of the left to smear just about every Republican as a
“Fascist.” So as we can see, the left’s demagoguery has cheapened the word
“Fascist” to the point of irrelevance; today, the “F” word is simply just one
more insult in the left-wing arsenal.
So no,
Trump is not a Fascist, and neither are Republicans. In fact, come to
think of it, if we wanted to envision Fascism in the 21st century—allowing for
changes in style and fashion—we might think of Antifa, which is the
hipster name for Anti-Fascist.
As
Breitbart News has pointed out, Antifa ideologists believe that
violent thuggery on the streets is a key part of their strategy for provoking
civil strife—and that, of course, is classic Fascism. So in other words,
when we see the word “Antifa,” we should just delete the “Anti” and know that
we’re seeing “Fa.”

Of course,
there’s more going wrong with American society than just Antifa
hooliganism. The sort of churn that Luttwak lamented a quarter-century ago
has been profoundly damaging to the social fabric, and we see it in the
worsening of societal indicators, including flattened wages, family breakdown,
opioid use, and gun violence, including mass shootings.
And
yes, it’s possible that if the deterioration continues, some sort of strong
antidote—more precisely, a horrible “antidote”—could emerge.
So if we
want to make sure we can fend off even the threat of Fascism, we should start
with leadership that’s both strong and wise. Strong leaders stand up to
extremist Antifa-type violence, of course, and yet, at the same time, they are
wise enough to solve the underlying social conditions that contribute to
extremism.
After
all, Italian Fascism emerged from the wreckage of World War One. And we
can add that Communism—another terrible extremism that’s a kind of mirror to
Fascism—emerged in Russia at around the same time, in the wake of the same
war. And a decade later, Nazism emerged from the war, too, as well as from
the Depression.
So
obviously we start our anti-Fascism plan with a commitment to overall peace and
prosperity. That is, no stupid foreign wars, no crazy economic policies. And
then we have to get to work on the healing of our homeland, repairing the many
social and cultural injuries and injustices caused by turbo-capitalism.

and the Deep State: A RICO Criminal Conspiracy
We who elected President Trump understood our elected
officials and the Deep State were
sandbagging Trump and self-dealing public funds. It was no secret that
President Trump is no angel, unpresidential, blunt, and crude, and a disruptor.
Trump was hired to drain the swamp.
I watched this kabuki theater unfold
over the last several years. Through my eyes as a shopworn gumshoe, I will
explain what is happening. My investigative curiosity was first piqued by the
ATF Fast and Furious scandal and continues through the recent House impeachment
show trial. There is a common element running through all of these cons —
the actions of an organized crime conspiracy. A group of people
either acting alone or in concert with others committed crimes with a common
purpose - a criminal enterprise as described in "CRIMINAL RICO: 18 USC. §§1961-1968 A Manual For
Federal Prosecutors."
The players acted together – in the usurpation of
power, the abuse of power by public officials, bribery, thefts by fraud including
federal funds, money laundering, perjury and the obstruction of justice, the
violations of fundamental of civil rights, aided and abetted in the commission
of these crimes and or to conceal these crimes. Criminals will lie and can't
keep their lies straight. Their methods and behaviors are the same, whether
engaging in street crimes or elaborate white-collar financial schemes. The only
difference is when more money is involved, the perps are more adept in
concealing, covering up their sins, and hiding where the money went. Many of
these scandals are well known to the American Thinker readers.
I will focus my comments on Hillary's home brew sever and the Clinton
Foundation as an example of how RICO can be used to prosecute the players.
FBI Director James Comey indicted Hillary Clinton for
her home brew server at his press conference. Comey then egregiously concluded
that there was no evidence of criminal intent purportedly “required” to
prosecute. Comey bastardized the Federal Espionage Act in absolving Hillary Clinton. FBI's
investigation of Clinton's emails was low-balled. There was never a real search
for the truth. The outcome was preordained. My jaw dropped wide open. I knew
the fix was in. FBI Director Comey lied to the people with a straight face.
Why?
The chance meeting of Bill Clinton and AG Loretta
Lynch on the airport tarmac was no mere coincidence. This chat was not about
the grandkids. Bill Clinton was there to convey a specific message to Lynch
that there would be no indictment of Hillary. Hillary Clinton's email case must
tank. This would have
constituted bribery, if AG Lynch was assured she would continue as AG in
Clinton Administration. This meeting took place only weeks before Comey's press
conference dumping Hillary Clinton's email case.
The Deep State needed Hillary Clinton to win the 2016
presidential election, or the dike holding back the truth would burst. Trump,
the disruptor, was an immediate threat to both the Republicans, Democrats, and
the Deep State. If the truth were laid
bare, it would expose the Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton, the Senate and
House, and many executive departments for these abuses of power, corruption,
bribery, frauds, and thefts of public funds.
High-level government officials and the Deep State
committed many serious felonies either in furtherance of or to conceal the
crimes committed in the pay to play scam. In exchange for
favorable consideration by Secretary Clinton, those who benefited would donate to
the Clinton Foundation. The FBI started and stopped investigations into the
Clinton Foundation at least twice as reported by the Washington Post. Peter Schweizer's book, Clinton Cash, is the most damning. Dinesh D'Souza slammed the Foundation in
the National Review, as did The Federalist.
The status of the investigation of the Foundation by US Attorney John Huber's is unknown. Rudy
Giuliani said there was enough to pursue "Clinton Inc" as racketeering under RICO. The Foundation and its affiliated nonprofits require
a real investigation with an in-depth forensic audit to determine where the
money went. In financial crimes investigation, the prime rule is "follow
the money, honey." Illicit nonprofits have many ways to divert funds by
inflating salaries, expenses, and money laundering.
Illegal nonprofit schemes are difficult to prosecute
without hard evidence and the testimony of insiders. The motive of Hillary Clinton's
use of the home brew server was to conceal emails from FOIA requests that would
provide the hard evidence. Hillary Clinton destroyed the data on her server and
cell phones with the knowledge of the FBI. It took years for Judicial
Watch and others to pry and
recover some of these damning emails from the foot-dragging executive
departments that were complicit and knew what was going on.
RICO initially was used to target mob families. RICO
is also a useful tool to fight white collar conspiracies. They both have the
same hierarchy of low-level crooks led by the top players, linked together with
a common purpose. RICO has tools to squeeze the low-level operatives to gather
evidence to prosecute, jail, and seize assets of the conspirators. The critical
element required is a pattern of criminal or racketeering activity.
This pattern is proved by showing two predicate crimes were committed within
ten years. The list of predicate crimes is extensive and includes bribery, embezzlement,
fraud, theft, money laundering, and obstruction of justice. The typical
five-year statute of limitations for most federal felonies is extended to ten
years from the last criminal act or acts committed to conceal the conspiracy,
i.e., lying under oath and similar actions to obstruct justice. The prison
sentences are steep. The effect is to cut off the head of the organization and
not just the low-level players.
The criminal activity extends back to the ATF's Fast
and Furious program through the House impeachment show trial to cover up the
illegal acts of the Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton, the Department of
State, the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA. A telltale sign that the DOJ under
US Attorney General Barr is willing to play hardball and may use RICO, came
when he spoke to the Federalist Society: "Barr accuses liberal 'resistance' of trying to
'sabotage' Trump." AG Barr said
this, "shows FBI launched Trump campaign investigation on the
'thinnest of suspicions." AG
Barr is the new sheriff in town, he wears a badge, has guns and will travel,
can impanel grand juries, indict and arrest people, and is not limited in his
jurisdiction, like DOJ IG Horowitz.
The collective actions of the Deep State are and were
a silent coup to delegitimize a Presidential candidate. Once elected to impede
and resist the duly elected President. The President's law enforcement and
intel agencies were corrupted at the highest level and went rogue.
Organized crime can't exist without corrupt law
enforcement. As I wrote in a letter to President Trump earlier this year:
. . . I believe
you understand the gravity of the situation and of its importance to the very
survival of our Country as we know it. If the people involved are not held
accountable for their actions, we will be no different than some Third World
Banana Republic.
Failure to act
will destroy our founding principle of the Rule of Law as stated by President
John Adams, "We Are a Nation of Laws, Not of Men" and we cannot allow
a two-tiered justice system to prevail.

Group Gets Six GOP Governors to Resettle More Refugees
A pro-mass immigration organization with links to billionaire
George Soros has successfully lobbied six Republican governors to resettle more
refugees in their states.
For
Fiscal Year 2020, President Donald Trump will continue cutting refugee admissions by reducing
former President Barack Obama’s refugee inflow by at least 80 percent. This
reduction would mean a maximum of 18,000 refugees can be resettled in the U.S.
between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020. This is merely a
numerical limit and not a goal federal officials are supposed to reach.
Coupled
with the refugee reduction, Trump signed an executive order that gives
localities, counties, and states veto power over whether they want to resettle
refugees in their communities.
Executives
at World Relief and the Evangelical Immigration Table — an organization
with links to the Soros-funded National
Immigration Forum — have been lobbying governors across the country to bring
more refugees to their states. So far, six Republican governors have signed off
to resettle refugees in their states, including North Dakota Gov. Doug
Burgum and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.
Jenny
Yang, vice president for advocacy at World Relief, an evangelical
agency whose work includes resettlement, has been steering an effort to
lobby governors to keep their states open to refugees. [Emphasis added]
She
said about 16 governors have submitted written consent, six of them
Republicans. Gov. Doug Ducey, Republican of Arizona, agreed after receiving a
letter supporting resettlement signed by 250 evangelical leaders. Gov. Greg
Abbott, Republican of Texas, who leads the state that received the most
refugees last year, has not yet offered his view, despite a plea from the mayor
of Fort Worth to continue accepting refugees. [Emphasis added]
Refugee
contractors, like the Lutheran Social Services organization, have deployed
a campaign to get mayors, local officials, and governors to admit more refugees
to their states. Those contractors’ budgets every year are reliant on ensuring
that as many refugees are resettled across the U.S. as possible.
It
remains unclear which six Republican governors, aside from Burgum and Ducey,
have been successfully lobbied by the Soros-linked group.
This
week, the Evangelical Immigration Table sent letters to the governors
of California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina,

The venomous careers of Hitler and Stalin provoked the
study of totalitarian regimes as the very epitome of evil, depriving their
citizens of freedom and of life itself. A state captured by a demagogue is
considered a sure sign of danger ahead -- hence the alleged justification by
the Left for their hysteria over “rabble rouser” Donald Trump’s election.
Overlooked until more recently are the unelected, bloated bureaucratic fiefdoms
and regulatory encroachments of both national and global government and
non-governmental institutions, which have created the opportunity for a
sinister, large scale violation of political power.
This new abuse was foreshadowed in the career of FBI

What is easily overlooked is that the sham scheme is
not a political health remedy, but a device for maintaining the megalomaniac’s

grandfather was actually paranoid.” Soros seems disarming in his frankness. But

bureaucrats like a boss giving dictation to his secretary. This is the man who
has perfected the subversion of governments, who has robbed failing states, and

foreign visa workers to the United States to compete against American graduates
and professionals in high-paying science, technology, and engineering jobs.
Biden told attendees of
the Export-Import Bank’s 2013 Annual Conference that not only did the U.S.
need to bring more H-1B foreign visa workers to the country for corporations,
but that foreign students graduating from American universities should
“literally” be given green cards to permanently stay in the U.S.

We also think its
essential to reform the immigration system. Every year … our university
system generates roughly 40,000 people with PhDs and master degrees in areas of
science and technology that we need and we make sure that they’re promptly
escorted back to their country. At the very same time, we’re spending

Every
year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B
visa and are allowed to stay for up to six years. There are about 650,000
H-1B visa foreign workers in the U.S. at any given moment. Americans
are often laid off in the process and forced to train
their foreign replacements, as highlighted by Breitbart News. Nearly 70 percent of all H-1B visas are rewarded to
Indian nationals.
More than
85,000 Americans annually potentially lose their jobs to foreign labor through
the H-1B visa program. Oftentimes, importing a foreign worker on the H-1B
visa is the first step in a multinational corporations’ effort to outsource the
American job, as the foreign worker arrives in the U.S., is trained in the job,
and then is eventually sent back overseas with the job.
While
Biden advocated for more labor market competition against America’s
professionals and graduates, foreign workers have already crowded out Americans
in the tech hub of Silicon Valley, California.

year, U.S. businesses and corporations attempted to outsource nearly 420,000 American jobs to
foreigners through the H-1B visa program — a number that outpaces the
population of Tampa, Florida.
As
Breitbart News previously reported, more than 2.7 million H-1B foreign
workers have been approved to come to the U.S. to take American jobs between
2007 and 2017. During that same period, businesses tried to outsource almost 3.5
million American jobs to foreign workers instead of hiring Americans.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) ripped what he called the country’s “new
aristocratic elite” for engineering the United States economy against the
American middle class.
For his
first major speech on the Senate floor, Hawley slammed the “big banks, big
tech, big multi-national corporations, along with their allies in the academy
and the media,” whom he said have created an economic structure in which they,
the well-connected, benefit while the American working and middle class
increasingly struggle to get ahead.
Hawley
said:
The
chattering class often tells us that all of this—the jobs, the despair, the
loss of standing—is the result of forces beyond anyone’s control. As if that’s an excuse to do
nothing. But in fact, it’s not true. [Emphasis added]
Today’s
society benefits those who shaped it, and it has been shaped not by working men
and women, but by the new aristocratic elite. Big banks, big tech, big multi-national
corporations, along with their allies in the academy and the media—these are
the aristocrats of our age. They live in the United States, but they
consider themselves citizens of the world. [Emphasis added]
They
operate businesses or run universities here, but their primary loyalty
is to their own agenda for a more unified, progressive—and profitable—global
order. These modern aristocrats often claim to be a meritocracy. And many
of them truly believe they are. What they don’t see, or won’t acknowledge, is

Defending
the needs of the American middle class against a growingly powerful

years of sacrifice, the great American middle is being pushed aside by a new,
arrogant aristocracy,” Hawley said. “The new aristocrats seek to remake society
in their own image: to engineer an economy that works for the elite but few
else, to fashion a culture that is dominated by their own preferences.”
“This
town has embraced a politics of elite values and elite ambition rather than
building opportunities to thrive in the great and broad American middle. This
has left middle America—the great American middle class—under siege: battling
the loss of respect and work, the decline of home and family, an epidemic of
loneliness and despair,” Hawley continued. “This is the crisis of our time.”
Specifically,
Hawley blasted multinational corporations for outsourcing American middle class
jobs overseas — wreaking economic, cultural, and social havoc on rural and
small town American communities in the process — and both political
establishments for treating American citizens as mere consumers.
“In
places like the one where I grew up, in middle Missouri, good-paying jobs that
you can raise a family on are going away,” Hawley said. “The jobs go overseas
or south of the border or to cities on the coasts. And once-vibrant towns
decline, taking with them the network of schools and neighborhoods and churches
that make up middle class life.”

Rural
America has been particularly hard hit. Rural Americans’ life
expectancy has not just leveled off, its actually dropped, and for women
without a high school degree, that drop has been staggering. In some rural
places, residents struggle with outright deprivation. [Emphasis added]
My
home state contains some of the poorest counties in America, all in rural
places that once boasted thriving small towns. As those communities struggle, want sets in. But the
crisis reaches well beyond economics. [Emphasis added]
The
message that Washington has sent our whole society is loud and clear: our
elites are the people who matter—and those who aspire to join them. Everyone else is
unimportant or backwards. And millions of Americans are left with
the sense that the people who run this country view them with nothing but
contempt and value them as nothing but consumers. [Emphasis added]
Indeed,
working and middle class Americans have been hit the hardest from decades-long
political consensus between the Republican establishment and Democrats.
Recent research revealed that while coastal, elite metropolis cities have flourished in the last decade, small town and rural American communities have suffered depopulation, mass job loss, and continued economic strain since the Great Recession.
For
instance, by 2016, elite zip codes had a surplus of 3.6 million jobs,
which is more than the combined bottom 80 percent of American zip codes. While
it only took about five years for wealthy cities to replace the jobs lost by
the recession, it took “at risk” regions of the country a decade to recover,
and “distressed” U.S. communities are “unlikely ever to recover on current
trendlines,” the report predicts.
Economic
growth among the country’s middle-class counties and middle-class zip codes has
considerably trailed national economic growth. For example, between 2012 and
2016, there were 4.4 percent more business establishments in the country as a
whole. That growth was less than two percent in the median zip code and there
was close to no growth in the median county.
While
America’s working and middle class have been subjected to compete for jobs
against a constant flow of cheaper foreign workers — where more than 1.2
million mostly low-skilled immigrants are admitted to the country annually —
the billionaire class has experienced historic salary gains.
A study
by the Economic Policy Institute found that the country’s top 0.01 percent have enjoyed more than 15 times as
much wage growth as the bottom 90 percent of wage earners. Between 1979 and
2017, working and middle class Americans’ wages grew by only 22 percent. On the
other hand, the plutocrat class saw their salaries grow by more than 155
percent over the same period.
Likewise, free trade deals like NAFTA — supported by Republicans
and Democrats — as well as China’s entering the World Trade Organization (WTO)
has eliminated nearly five million American manufacturing jobs across
the country, devastating steel towns and U.S. autoworkers. One former
steel town in West Virginia lost 94 percent of its steel jobs
because of NAFTA, with nearly 10,000 workers in the town being displaced from
the steel industry.

to give you a sense of the kind of vision that I think voters rejected, President
Bush … gave a speech to Congress in 1990 where he talked about a ‘New World
Order,’ and he was saying this of the situation in the context with Iraq,
but he talked broadly about a ‘New global liberal order’ that of course
America would lead, that it would involve America making the world much more
like America and the rest of the world kind of blending in with America … and
there wouldn’t be the need for hard borders any longer, and we’d have free
trade, and we’d have great multinational cooperation, and we’d have
these multinational corporations that can do business in any country, and it
would be a whole new era. [Emphasis added]
Well, as
it turns out — first of all, China and Russia didn’t get the memo on that —
secondly, as it turns out, that ‘New World Order’ wasn’t good for American
workers. And as it turned out, it didn’t protect American middle
class values. As it turned out, it undermined the middle class way
of life. [Emphasis added]
Hawley
said the ruling class is primarily a “small group of people” from a “fairly
narrow band of colleges and graduate schools” who largely agree on the most
challenging issues facing the nation and oppose the traditionalism of middle
American communities.
“They
also tend to be the winners of this global integration. George Bush’s ‘New
World Order,’ the people who have been in charge of the parties who run the
media, who hold commanding heights in our culture; they win from that
agreement,” Hawley said of the ruling class. “They’re doing great; they are the
wealthy in our society. They are the ones who are globally integrated and
global facing.”
Hawley
continued:
They also
tend to be skeptical of places like Missouri and of things like home and
community. So they say that they value those things, but you listen to somebody
… and somebody says, “I’m not going to move from this small town even though
I’m having trouble finding a job because my family is here and because this is
where we’ve lived for generations and this is where my friends are and I want
to make a life here.” A lot of D.C. elites in both parties listen to that and
they’re like, “That’s crazy.”
As
Breitbart News has chronicled, free trade has helped gut working and
middle class American jobs and stripped whole middle American towns of
their industries and livelihoods.
Since the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed and China was allowed to
enter the World Trade Organization (WTO), five million American manufacturing jobs and
more than 50,000 manufacturing facilities have been eliminated from the U.S.
economy. This mass elimination of jobs due to free trade has coincided
with an almost 600 percent increase in trade deficits.
In recent
years, the economic recovery from the Great Recession disproportionately benefitted elite zip codes. For
example, by 2016, elite zip codes had a surplus of 3.6 million jobs, which
is more than the combined bottom 80 percent of American zip codes. While
populations have grown in major cities where the wealthiest of Americans live,
rural communities have continued to shrink.

Investor, CEO, and presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg says he
would allow investors and employers to hire the “the best” workers from around
the world instead of Americans.
“This country needs more
immigrants and we should be out looking for immigrants,” Bloomberg told the San
Diego Union-Tribune on January 5.:
For those who need an oboe
player for a symphony, we want the best one. We need a striker for a soccer
team, we want to get the best one. We want a farmworker, we want to get the
best one. A computer programmer, we want to get the best one. So we should be
out looking for more immigrants.
The reporter did not ask
Bloomberg to define “best.” But for cost-conscious shareholders and executives,
“best” is a synonym for ‘cheaper than Americans.’
“If business were able to
hire without restrictions from anywhere in the world, pretty much every
[American’s] occupation would be foreignized,” said Mark Krikorian, director of
the Center for Immigration Studies. He continued:
Americans would have to
accept dramatically lower earnings, whether they object or not. Not just
landscapers and tomato pickers, [because] Indians and Chinese by the millions
can do nursing and accounting. There would not be any job that would not see
its earnings fall to the global average.
Bloomberg — who has an
estimated wealth of $55 billion — is trying to exempt investors and
shareholders from the nation’s immigration rules, said Krikorian. For
Bloomberg, “immigration laws are not one of those things that should be allowed
to interfere in [the growth of] shareholders’ value,” he said.
“It is obviously
unprecedented — but this is not obviously different from [President] George
[W.] Bush’s ideal immigration plan … [and] he is expressing a pretty standard
Republican plutocrat approach to immigration,” he added.
Out of common sense and
fairness, our laws should allow willing workers to enter our country and fill
jobs that Americans have are not filling. (Applause.) We must make our
immigration laws more rational, and more humane. And I believe we can do so
without jeopardizing the livelihoods of American citizens.
Our reforms should be
guided by a few basic principles. First, America must control its borders …
Second, new immigration
laws should serve the economic needs of our country. If an American employer is
offering a job that American citizens are not willing to take, we ought to
welcome into our country a person who will fill that job.
In December 2018,
departing House Speaker Paul Ryan echoed Bush’s
“any willing worker” goal, saying:
[Immigration reform needs]
border security and interior enforcement for starters, but also a modernization
of our visa system so that it makes sense for our economy and for our people so
that anyone who wants to play by the rules, work hard and be part of American
fabric can contribute.
This “any willing worker”
idea encouraged Ryan to work closely —
but behind the scenes — with pro-amnesty, pro-migration groups.
Many GOP legislators echo
this “any willing worker” claim when they declare a “‘legal good, illegal bad,’
approach to migration,” said Krikorian. That mantra is “piously claiming that
illegal immigration is bad, but is making [pro-American protections] moot by
letting huge numbers of people in legally.”
In contrast, President
Donald Trump won his 2016 election on a promise to shrink immigration. Since
then, he has forced down illegal migration via Mexico and has largely blocked
numerous efforts by business to expand the huge inflow of legal immigrants and
visa workers. Trump’s curbs on the supply of foreign labor have helped to force
up wages for blue-collar Americans — despite determined efforts by business and
investment groups to prevent wage increases.
Almost 50% of U.S. employees got higher
wages in 2019, up from almost 40% in 2018.

Bloomberg’s “best worker”
pitch is not a problem for the Democrats’ 2020 base of “woke” progressives,
said Krikorian:
He is running in the Democratic
primary and there is an overlap between the plutocrat assault on national
borders and the leftist assault on national borders. They come at the issue
from the different starting points but they have the same enemy, which is
Americans’ sovereignty. It is not obvious that his [pro-employer] immigration
stance is going to be a turn-off to Democratic primary votes.. How different
are the specifics of his immigration proposal from [Joe] Biden, Sen. [Bernie]
Sanders or [Sen. Elizabeth] Warren?
Biden, Sanders, and Warren
endorse wide-open borders as a form of charity towards unlucky foreigners
fleeing from home country persecution. For example, a January 5 tweet from
Biden said:
Our Statue of Liberty
invites in the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
Donald Trump has slammed the door in the face of families fleeing persecution
and violence.
Bloomberg’s pro-employer
view is coherent and likely sincere, said Krikorian.
Bloomberg aspires to a
single global labor market, and everything else follows from that. A concern
about improving the lot of less-skilled American workers is by definition
contrary to that view because there is no such thing as an American labor
market. There is only a global labor market. Domestic employers are not
thinking about the consequences for people from Pennsylvania when they hire
people from Tennessee, and Bloomberg wants that same approach across the entire
world.
There is even an
altruistic way of viewing that — which I assume guys like this have — that
it improves the lot of Hondurans [and other migrants] who are coming here.
The issue is not that
Bloomberg and his guys are factually incorrect. It is that their values are
contrary to the values that most Americans hold – which is that we have a
greater loyalty and obligation to our fellow countrymen than to foreigners.
Guys like Bloomberg reject that [obligation] in principle.

But Bloomberg also wraps
his economic demand for more immigrants in a progressive-style cultural
message.
Bloomberg told the San
Diego Union-Tribune that amnesty “is a no-brainer — you give [a]
pathway to citizenship to 11 million people.”
In December,
Bloomberg said additional immigrants
could “improve our culture, our cuisine, our religion, our dialogue, and certainly
improve our economy” — but without being asked by reporters which American
cultures, cuisines, religions, and dialogues do not meet his standards.
Bloomberg also echoes the
Democrats’ claim that the U.S is a diverse “nation of immigrants,” instead of a
country built by similar-minded settlers from Europe. “This country was built
by immigrants,” Bloomberg said, without noting the role played by Americans and
their children.
Bloomberg has long
supported greater immigration. In 2013, he joined with the owner of Fox News,
Rupert Murdoch, to create the Project for a New American Economy. The group of
investors and politicians then pushed for
passage of the failed Gang of Eight amnesty in 2013.
The Congressional Budget
Office (CBO) predicted the
planned “Gang of Eight” amnesty would shift more of the nation’s new wealth
from workers to investors.
The flood of roughly 30
million immigrants in ten years would cause Americans’ wages to shrink, the
report said. “Because the bill would increase the rate of growth of the labor
force, average wages would be held down in the first decade after enactment,”
the CBO report said.
But all that cheap labor
would boost the profits and the stock market, the report said. “The rate of
return on capital would be higher [than on labor] under the legislation than
under current law throughout the next two decades,” says the report, titled
“The Economic Impact of S. 744.”
For Bloomberg, Krikorian
said, U.S. “employers have no greater obligation to fellow Americans than to
Hondurans [or other foreign workers] … what Bloomberg is saying is that immigration
laws should not interfere with the pursuit of shareholder value [because]
employers can hire anyone from anywhere at any wage, period.”

We Don't Want Globalist Government
And when I say "we," I don't just mean
conservatives or even Americans.
I mean most people around the world.
It's arguable that much of the conflict we see across
the planet is attributable to the efforts of a handful of people to foist their
worldview on everyone else, and the "everyone elses" starting to push
back.
Hong Kong's citizens are resisting efforts by the
Chinese Communist government to take away the rights and freedoms they enjoyed
while Hong Kong was a British possession. (Interestingly, the Google search
"Hong Kong protests violent" produces article after article
criticizing the violence of the protesters -- not the police -- shaming Hong
Kong's citizens for not using peaceful demonstrations, and reporting
"splits" and disagreements among the protestors about the best ways
to achieve their aims. The articles read like Chinese communist propaganda.)
The fractures in Europe are just as serious.
In France, for more than a year the "gilet
jaunes" have been violently protesting increases on fuel and heating taxes
imposed by the Macron government allegedly in pursuit of global environmental
objectives.
In Spain, the Catalan independence movement has
produced violent protests, which The Nation magazine describes as also
motivated by "growing restrictions on the right to protest and freedom of
expression, as well as the judicialization of politics and the politicization
of the judiciary."
Other European countries, including Germany, Austria,
Sweden, Greece and Belgium have been rocked by protests against the "open
borders" migration policy pushed by the European Union. In many cases,
those protests have resulted in dramatic shifts in the control of parliamentary
governments (Hungary, France, Italy, Austria) -- and portend changes in
representation at the EU as well.
And then there's Brexit -- Great Britain's exit from
the European Union -- which still hasn't happened and continues to roil British
and European politics.
People want to be free to live their lives, and -- for
the most part -- to be left alone to care for their families, educate their
children, perform their job responsibilities and go about the business of their
daily lives. They don't want to be cogs in a globalist wheel, told what to do
by some distant faceless government bureaucrat enforcing regulations enacted to
achieve policy goals grounded in questionable "facts."
That viewpoint is anathema to the globalists among us.
Globalists think that the answer to every human
problem lies in government -- and the bigger the government, the better. Why
stop at federal legislation and federal courts when you can push for
international legislation and international courts? Not only does this remove
the Average Joe's control over his own life but also it creates the potential
for so much delicious power.
Here in our own country, Hillary Clinton is Exhibit A.
Take for example, the Clinton Foundation, and the
millions of dollars Clinton and her husband collected from foreign nations
while she was secretary of state. But
further evidence is that Clinton cannot let go of 2016. She cannot bear the
loss, not only because of her immense ego but because She. Had. Big. Plans. Far
bigger plans than her relatively easygoing husband ever did. Clinton is a
globalist to the marrow of her bones. People were distressed that Clinton had a
stranglehold on the Democratic National Committee in 2016? That was penny ante
poker, folks. President Hillary Clinton would be the best friend of the U.N. and
the EU and the International Court of Justice. In Clinton's worldview, only a
handful of people are brilliant enough to rule the world -- she's one of them.
If the "little people" dare to want to run their own lives, they're
"deplorables." And as the Tulsi Gabbard kerfuffle demonstrates,
anyone who poses a threat to Hillary's hegemony will incur her wrath.
Across the Twitterverse, some conservatives are aghast
that Tulsi Gabbard has garnered so much support from the right, warning that
it's part of a larger conspiracy to shoehorn Hillary Clinton into the
Democratic nomination again in 2020. That strikes me as unlikely. Whether
Gabbard intended it or not, her vicious (and deserved) criticism of Clinton
sounded like something that could have been said not by Vladimir Putin or
Bashar Assad, but by President Donald Trump and the 63 million people who voted
for him.
In one of her recent videos, Gabbard says: "If
they can falsely portray me as a traitor, then they can do it to anyone -- and
in fact, that's exactly the message they want to get across to you. If you
stand up to Hillary and the party power brokers -- if you stand up to the rich
and powerful elite and the war machine, they will destroy you and discredit
your message. But here is the truth: They will not intimidate us. They will not
silence us."
When you're a little-known candidate whose chances for
the Democratic nomination are viewed as somewhere between slim and none, all
you get are slanderous smears by Hillary Clinton, which the press is willing to
repeat and even try to justify.
But when you're the president of the United States
whose chances for the Republican nomination -- much less the election -- were
viewed as somewhere between slim and none -- and you beat the odds, you get
slanderous smears dutifully disseminated by the press PLUS the full force of
your predecessor's FBI, CIA, Justice Department and the rest of the "deep
state" actors intending to take you down.
Trump isn't interested in having America run by the
United Nations or the European Union.
For the globalists here and abroad, that is a declaration of war.
