HIT THEM WITH WHAT YOU THINK OF MEXICO'S EXPORTATION OF DRUGS, POVERTY, CRIMINALS, AND PREGNANT WOMEN TO LOOT AMERICA.

All four candidates for president in Mexico are appealing for voters through social media and on the internet. Each seems to have a Twitter team to hop on it in case their candidate starts getting negative tweets. During Sunday night's debate, I could see constant tweets by both Josefina Vazquez Mota and Enrique Pena Nieto. This morning's El Economista brings some interesting tidbits about each candidate's internet reach.
The frontrunner, Pena Nieto, has 768,000 followers on Twitter, 3,034,052 "likes" on his Facebook page, and 50 people working constantly on his internet team.
In 2nd place, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador receives 50,000 visits a day to his website: www.amlo.si In case you're wondering, the domain name comes from Slovenia. I'm not sure if Lopez Obrador tweets. If so, I haven't found the official site. Lopez Obrador has an active team making videos for his portal. The one above is quite popular, bringing together talented musicians.
The ruling party candidate, Josefina Vazquez Mota, has 1,714,144 "likes" on her Facebook page, and 818,033 followers on her Twitter account.
The trailing candidate, Gabriel Quadri, has 191,900 followers on Twitter and tweets an average of 15 times a day.
