you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who
called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media
have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and
marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that
the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars
and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.

Congress Asked To
Pledge Respect To Latinos

Amid heated
immigration debates, members of Congress are being asked to sign a pledge
acknowledging the economic, civic and cultural contributions of Latinos and
opposing “irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric” that “dehumanizes” them.
The contract is part
of the “Pledge
for Respect” campaign launched
this month by the politically-connected National Council of La Raza (NCLR),
which bills itself as the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization
in the United States. The influential Mexican group receives millions of
federal tax dollars annually to promote its leftist, open-borders agenda and
has hundreds of branches throughout the nation.
NCLR leaders
regularly attend congressional hearings as well as White House meetings and
President Obama hired one of the group’s top officials (Cecilia Munoz) to serve
in his administration. The commander-in-chief even violated his own lobbyist
ban to make Munoz director of intergovernmental affairs even though she
supervised all legislative and advocacy activities on the state and local
levels for the NCLR, which is headquartered in Washington D.C.
With that said, this
isn’t merely a publicity stunt for the powerful NCLR, which is pushing the
respect campaign as part of this year’s National Latino Advocacy Days. The idea
is to reinforce that the Hispanic community is an integral part of the fabric
of America, according to the group, which is also using the opportunity to
denounce politicians who use Latinos to exploit xenophobia for political gain.
The contract also forces members of Congress to promise that they’ll meet with advocates and leaders from the Hispanic nonprofit (that would include the NCLR) and business communities to hear their perspective on the “issues.” That way they could find a common ground based on “shared values and interests.”
To launch its respect
campaign the NCLR enlisted a Los Angeles hip-hop band named after the Aztec
astrological symbol of the monkey (Ozomatli). In a public
service ad, members of the
musical group claim that some candidates for public office have called for
landmines on the U.S.-Mexico border and microchips to be implanted in
undocumented immigrants. Others have used “stereotypical and menacing images of
Latinos in their campaign ads.”
The message goes on
to say that elected officials and states have fashioned “extreme draconian”
proposals against the immigrant and Latino communities, including the
elimination of ethnic studies programs in public schools, forcing
publicly-funded hospitals to ask for patients’ immigration status and stripping
U.S. citizenship from children born to illegal aliens. “It’s time to tell
Congress that we won’t stand for this anymore. We need to know who is with us
and who is against us! “
LA RAZA HILDA SOLIS - The U.S. Department of Illegal Alien Labor
President Obama's Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is supposed to represent American workers. What you need to know is that this longtime open–borders sympathizer has always had a rather radical definition of "American." At a Latino voter registration project conference in Los Angeles many years ago, Solis asserted to thunderous applause, "We are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not."
That's right. The woman in charge of enforcing our employment laws doesn't give a hoot about our immigration laws –– or about the fundamental distinction between those who followed the rules in pursuit of the American dream and those who didn't.
While in Congress, she opposed strengthening the border fence, supported expansion of illegal alien benefits (including driver's licenses and in–state tuition discounts), embraced sanctuary cities that refused to cooperate with federal homeland security officials to enforce immigration laws, and aggressively championed a mass amnesty. Solis was steeped in the pro–illegal alien worker organizing movement in Southern California and was buoyed by amnesty–supporting Big Labor groups led by the Service Employees International Union. She has now caused a Capitol Hill firestorm over her new taxpayer–funded advertising and outreach campaign to illegal aliens regarding fair wages:
"I'm here to tell you that your president, your secretary of labor and this department will not allow anyone to be denied his or her rightful pay –– especially when so many in our nation are working long, hard and often dangerous hours," Solis says in the video pitch. "We can help, and we will help. If you work in this country, you are protected by our laws. And you can count on the U.S. Department of Labor to see to it that those protections work for you."
To be sure, no one should be scammed out of "fair wages." Employers that hire and exploit illegal immigrant workers deserve full sanctions and punishment. But it's the timing, tone–deafness and underlying blanket amnesty agenda of Solis' illegal alien outreach that has so many American workers and their representatives on Capitol Hill rightly upset.
With double–digit unemployment and a growing nationwide revolt over Washington's border security failures, why has Solis chosen now to hire 250 new government field investigators to bolster her illegal alien workers' rights campaign? (Hint: Leftists unhappy with Obama's lack of progress on "comprehensive immigration reform" need appeasing. This is a quick bone to distract them.)
Unfortunately, the federal government is not alone in lavishing attention and resources on workers who shouldn't be here in the first place. As of 2008, California, Florida, Nevada, New York, Texas and Utah all expressly included illegal aliens in their state workers' compensation plans –– and more than a dozen other states implicitly cover them.
Solis' public service announcement comes on the heels of little–noticed but far more troubling comments encouraging illegal alien workers in the Gulf Coast. Earlier this month, in the aftermath of the BP oil spill, according to Spanish language publication El Diario La Prensa, Solis signaled that her department was going out of its way to shield illegal immigrant laborers involved in cleanup efforts. "My purpose is to assist the workers with respect to safety and protection," she said. "We're protecting all workers regardless of migration status because that's the federal law." She told reporters that her department was in talks with local Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials who had visited coastal worksites to try to verify that workers were legal.
No word yet on whether she gave ICE her "we are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not" lecture. But it's a safe bet.

Yet, in his “State of the Union,” our Harvard Law School President Barack Obama pushed for yet another amnesty move for illegal aliens! What does he carry in his head for brains. First he called this a ‘democracy’. Wrong! It’s a ‘Republic’. For heaven sakes Mr. Obama, learn your civics if and wherever you attended school in Indonesia as a child. Repeat after me, "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

2. You accomplish two things: you would stop the $100 billion drug trade within 30 days because U.S. Marines or Army would not let a kilo of drugs to cross over! Think of all the lives you would affect and the kids wrapped up in dealing drugs. Secondly, you would stop illegal immigration immediately.
3. Enforce internal immigration laws against employers by E-Verify and INS going after employers. That would free up 8 to 10 million full time jobs for America. It happened with that crooked Denver-based Mexican Chipotle’s restaurant chain in Minnesota in the last month. They fired 700 Mexicans and hired 700 Americans. Start in Maine and sweep toward California. They would buy bus tickets home by the millions. What a concept Barack!
4. You would see immediate results of 10 million Americans employed at a living wage with their taxes paying into the pot, and off the unemployment rolls. You would lower the 42 million Americans subsisting on food stamps by 10 million. Think of it Barack! Simple math! I am a math teacher, so I can assure you the numbers would move in your favor and ours.
5. You would become an instant hero and loved leader in your country (well, loving you might be a stretch), or ‘our’ country if you are a U.S. citizen. I’d love to see your birth certificate. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours!
6. Finally, if you use your math figures, by reducing all immigration into this country to something like 100,000 a year instead of 3.1 million—you would be able to employ our 15 million unemployed people and not their people, which would benefit our country. You would be a winner Mr. Obama!
