recklessly claims America is ‘Stronger’ in State of the Union

PHOENIX,
February 12, 2013 - During Barack Obama’s first State of the Union address of
his second term, the President claimed that the United States is seeing more
economic growth and that as a nation we are “stronger” today than we were
before.
Though
when President Obama claimed that the state of our union was “stronger,” one
could only ask: for whom?
22.7 million
Americans are unemployed, underemployed, or have given up looking for work
under the Obama administration. The unemployment rate when Obama took office
was 7.8%; four years later, it stands at 7.9%. Are these Americans living in a
“stronger” nation?
Small
business and large corporations are hesitant to hire new employees because of
the ObamaCare mandate that penalizes companies for hiring more than 50
employees. Certainly, you can’t describe a country that punishes its companies
for hiring new employees as “stronger”.
SOMEONE
MUST PAY FOR OBAMA’S BANKSTERS’ CRIMES AND THE LOOTING OF HIS LA RAZA PARTY
BASE OF ILLEGALS!
Moreover, if
you are born into this country today, you bring with you a $52,400 debt burden
that you had no say in preventing. With an overall national debt of $16.5
trillion, how can our president deem the nation “stronger” when our children
are sinking in debt?
President
Obama has added over $5.9 trillion to the national debt since taking office in
January 2009 that is more than any other president in American history.
Obama even
once again called for investing in more “clean energy” solutions that he claims
will create a safer environment for our children and promote economic growth.
These “clean energy” solutions are better known as ‘crony capitalism’.
Just look at
the Solyndra fiasco.
Solyndra was
given $535 million in taxpayer dollars in order to create more jobs and create
better alternative energy sources. Instead, Solyndra declared bankruptcy;
killing 1,100 jobs all while under investigation by the FBI.
The Solyndra
loan and the many other now-bankrupt ‘green energy’ companies were a disgusting
and unethical smokescreen designed to propagandize the American electorate into
thinking Obama was serious about job creation and lowering the cost of gas via
new energy solutions.
Nearly all
of the ‘green energy’ companies that received federal loan guarantees from the
Obama administration had deep ties to top Obama campaign bundlers and administration
officials.
It is clear
that the Obama administration’s ‘green energy’ policy has basically become a
campaign bundler payback program.
President
Obama, your address tonight was hopeless and distasteful. The state of the
union is not “stronger,” it is weaker, dismal, and doubtful.
It is time
the American people saw real job growth and the unemployment rate return to a
more stable number. You had four years to create more jobs and your policies
have not worked thus far. It is time to try something new for your second term.
This State
of the Union address only showed that the next four years under President Obama
will be even more dismal than the last four.
With well
over $16.4 trillion in debt and unemployment at 7.9%, President Obama should
have offered the American people a real plan for turning the American economy
around and returning to fiscal prosperity.
Though
instead the president decided to offer the same failed policies that have
proven time again to bring about more economic calamity and further push the
United States into becoming a third-rate banana republic.

Today, Janet Napolitano, secretary of Homeland
Security, announced immunity from deportation for illegal immigrants who were
brought to the United States before they turned 16 and
who are younger than 30 – among other criteria. They can apply for a two-year
work permit that can be renewed indefinitely.
The
decision is not just a breach of faith with the American people. It blatantly
ignores the rule of law that is the foundation of our democracy.
In
an interview with Univision television earlier this year, President Obama said
that he can’t just “waive away the laws that Congress put in place” and that
“the president doesn’t have the authority to simply ignore Congress and say,
‘We’re not going to enforce the laws that you’ve passed.’”
But
ignore Congress and the Constitution is exactly what the president has done
– and this isn’t the first time. Throughout the past three years of his
administration, Mr. Obama has waived applying several of our immigration rules
and has refused to enforce other immigration laws.
Earlier this
year, administration officials at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) outlined their plan to ignore a rule that requires illegal
immigrants to leave the US before they can then ask the federal government to
waive a law that bans them from legally returning here for several years.

inspections have determined that hundreds of companies throughout the U.S. have
significant numbers of illegal
immigrants on their payroll
yet none have been punished, according to a Houston newspaper that obtained
internal ICE records through the Freedom of Information Act. At least 430 audit

“questionable” documents yet they faced no consequences.”

massive increases in manpower, the U.S. Border Patrol is still intercepting
only about 61 percent of would-be illegal immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico
border, according to an audit that the investigative arm of Congress released
Wednesday.
Auditors
also said that drug seizures were up 83 percent in 2011 compared with 2006.
More than a quarter of that drug activity happened in the Tucson sector.

The setting was not quite the
flight deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln with a “Mission Accomplished” banner
as the backdrop, but it was the next best thing. Speaking at the Center for
American Progress (CAP) on Nov. 13, Homeland Security Secretary Janet
Napolitano declared victory over illegal immigration and announced that the
Obama administration is ready to move forward with a mass amnesty for the
millions of illegal aliens already living in the United States.
Arguing the
Obama administration’s case for amnesty, Napolitano laid out what she described
as the “three-legged stool” for immigration reform. As the administration views
it, immigration reform must include “a commitment to serious and effective
enforcement, improved legal flows for families and workers, and a firm but fair
way to deal with those who are already here.”
Acknowledging that a lack of
confidence in the government’s ability and commitment to effectively enforce
the immigration laws it passes proved to be the Waterloo of previous efforts to
gain amnesty for illegal aliens, Napolitano was quick to reassure the American
public that those concerns could be put to rest.
“For starters, the security
of the Southwest border has been transformed from where it was in 2007,” stated
the secretary. Not only is the border locked up tight, she continued, but the
situation is well in-hand in the interior of the country as well. “We’ve also
shown that the government is serious and strategic in its approach to
enforcement by making changes in how we enforce the law in the interior of the
country and at worksites…Furthermore, we’ve transformed worksite enforcement to
truly address the demand side of illegal immigration.”

Arrests of
illegal immigrant workers have dropped precipitously under President Obama,
according to figures released Wednesday. Criminal arrests, administrative
arrests, indictments and convictions of illegal immigrants at work sites all
fell by more than 50 percent
from fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2009.
The figures
show that Mr. Obama has made good on his pledge to shift enforcement away from
going after illegal immigrant workers themselves - but at the expense of
Americans' jobs, said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the Republican who compiled
the numbers from the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). Mr. Smith, the top Republican on the House
Judiciary Committee, said a period of economic turmoil is the wrong time to be
cutting enforcement and letting illegal immigrants take jobs that Americans
otherwise would hold.
