SAN CLEMENTE – More than a half-million dollars in cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana were seized in two thwarted smuggling attempts, officials said Monday.
The drugs were seized last week during inspections at the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint in San Clemente, according to a statement released by the agency.
The driver, identified only as a Mexican national, was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram truck that was inspected by a K-9 unit.
