SWAMP KEEPER TRUMP PICKS CHEAP LABOR & OPEN BORDERS ADVOCATE FOR DHS..... And you really believe Twitter is going to build the wall???

HOW “CHEAP” IS ALL THAT INVADING “CHEAP” LABOR?

Natalio Vitervo-Vasquez was deported twice but returned to provide “cheap” labor. He can’t read or write and raped his 10-year-old daughter.
“Prosecutors say the girl, who was 11-years-old at the time, went to a medical center where it was determined she was pregnant. Officials say she would have conceived the child at ten years of age.”

Cheap Labor, Open Borders Swamp Embraces Trump’s DHS Pick: ‘Experience Being Valued over Outsiders’

The Washington, D.C. political establishment – which supports a constant inflow of cheap, foreign workers to take American blue-collar jobs – and open border policies, is heaping praise on President Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kirstjen Nielsen.

Nielsen, a donor to Republican establishment darling Jeb Bush and former DHS official under President George W. Bush, is being praised by pro-open borders Bush allies with whom she’s previously worked.
In the Washington Post, former Bush official and lobbyist Stewart Verdery welcomed Trump’s choice to pick Nielsen to run DHS because she was not an outsider.
“Nielsen’s nomination is a strong signal of competence and experience being valued by the White House over ideologues and outsiders,” Verdery told the Washington Post. “The homeland mission requires an unusual, diverse set of skills, and she has expertise in almost all of them.”
In 2014, Verdery urged House and Senate Republicans to give in to amnesty for the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens living in the U.S., writing for CNN how the GOP needed to support the expansion of foreign work visa programs, where cheaper foreigners are brought to the U.S. to take American jobs.
As a lobbyist, Verdery’s Monument Policy Group represents tech firms like Microsoft and Amazon, both of which have lobbied the Trump administration for more foreign workers to be imported to the U.S., further driving down the wages of American workers, immigration reformers argue.
Microsoft, which Verdery’s lobbying firm represents, even admitted to hiring illegal aliens who have been shielded from deportation by the Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, as Breitbart Texas reported.
Also praising Nielsen’s appointment to DHS is pro-amnesty Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, who has a long record of opposing the pro-American immigration agenda that got Trump elected.
In the Washington Post, Ridge said of Nielsen:
Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge (R), the first secretary of homeland security, said in a statement that Nielsen was a “homeland security veteran” who was “extremely well versed in the all-hazard threats” challenging the nation’s security and resilience.
“Kirstjen can hit the ground running and there won’t be a learning curve,” Ridge said. “Most importantly, in this hyper-political environment, Kirstjen is not a self-promoter. She is a patriot and takes a mission-focused approach to her work.”
When Ridge was serving as the head of DHS under Bush in 2003, he demanded that the entire illegal alien population be “legalized” and allowed to remain in the U.S.
At the time, Trump ally and Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) slammed Ridge for indirectly pushing amnesty, all while potentially creating a surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Mr. Ridge ought to read the laws he is charged with trying to enforce,” Tancredo told the Washington Times. “We have laws on the books that call for him to find and deport these people, and if he is unwilling to do so, he should resign.”
In 2010, Ridge railed against Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s pro-American immigration enforcement — which Trump ally and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach helped craft — saying that instead of deporting illegal aliens, the federal government should have stepped in and legalized the millions of illegal aliens in the U.S.
“It’s ridiculous to think … we’re going to identify 12 million to 14 million people and send them back,” Ridge told the Associated Press at the time.
In 2016, Ridge even went on a media tour to announce that he refused to support Trump’s “America First” candidacy, writing in US News:
My disregard for Donald Trump has been well documented by multiple media outlets over the last several months, so I won’t belabor it yet again. Suffice to say that I am disappointed that he is our party’s nominee. With a bumper sticker approach to policy, his bombastic tone reflects the traits of a bully, not an American president and statesman. If he cannot unite Republicans, how can he unite America? I simply cannot endorse him.
Nielsen’s DHS appointment was additionally cheered by former Bush official Frances Townsend, with the D.C. establishment figure telling the New York Times that Nielsen is “competent.”
“She is tough as nails, competent and has rightly earned the president’s respect,” Townsend said.
In 2013, Townsend welcomed the failed effort to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens — known as the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill — saying the open borders plan was in-line with the Bush administration’s goals on immigration.
“This is a redux of the Bush effort and the underlying principles,” Townsend told the Daily Beast at the time.
Nielsen has no record of working specifically on immigration-related issues, despite Trump making pro-American immigration reforms the main theme of his administration. The yet-to-be-confirmed DHS head also does not hold any clear record when it comes to supporting initiatives that reduce legal immigration and limit foreign guest worker programs in order to give wage and competitive relief to America’s working-class and middle-class workforce.

Illegal Immigrant Accused of Running over Man in Drunk Hit-and-Run

An illegal immigrant is now facing felony charges after allegedly running over a Raleigh, North Carolina, man in a hit-and-run car accident while intoxicated.

Carlos Edilberto Flores-Benitez, 27, allegedly ran over a man while he was drinking and driving, police and eyewitnesses say, according to WNCN. Police reports claim the illegal immigrant hit the man at an intersection and then immediately sped off from the scene.
When police responded, Flores-Benitez was cornered into his vehicle by eyewitnesses who reportedly watched the incident.
In their police report, officers said the victim suffered “serious injuries, but he’s not gonna die.”
Flores-Benitez faces a felony hit-and-run felony charge and a drunk driving charge. Should he be released from prison at any time, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is expected to deport him back to his native country.
The car crash by Flores-Benitez is the latest crime from an individual who entered the U.S. illegally.
This week, Breitbart Texas reported first on a 19-year-old illegal immigrant and protectee of the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program–created by President Obama–who is accused of murdering a teenage girl in Greenville, South Carolina.
Daniel De Jesus Rangel Sherrer, who has been able to remain in the U.S. because of DACA, is accused of murdering 18-year-old Diana Martinez-Gonzalez in a secluded, wooded area.
Sherrer is now facing first-degree murder charges. More than 2,100 illegal alien DACA recipients were kicked from the program for crimes and gang affiliations.

Donald Trump: Prototypes for the Wall ‘Looking Really Good’

President Donald Trump updated supporters about the wall during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday.

“Right now, we’ve built five prototypes,” he explained. “They are going up, and some are already finished, and I will say they are really looking good.”
After Trump issued an executive order to the Department of Homeland Security to begin building “a physical wall” on the southern border, officials responded by requesting prototypes for the best kind of border security.
Construction for the prototypes began in September for solid wall models and barriers made of “other materials.” According to DHS officials, the prototypes will help officials choose the best kind of infrastructure for different areas on the border.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has released videos of some of the prototypes under construction:
When asked if the wall would be see-through, Trump referred to the prototypes.
“We’ll see,” he said.
He confirmed that he wanted to work out a DACA deal with Democrats but that funding the wall was a big part of any agreement.
“I fully understand it, but if we are going to do something, we have to get something in return, and what I want is tremendous border regulation. I want the wall, and we’re going to get other things,” he said.

Illegal Alien Accused of Murdering Teen Girl Was in DACA Program

An illegal alien accused of murdering a teenage girl in Greenville County, South Carolina, was shielded from deportation as he was a beneficiary of the Obama-created DACA amnesty program.

Daniel De Jesus Rangel Sherrer, 19, was one of the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation and given a work permit under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) confirmed to Breitbart Texas.
Sherrer, as Breitbart News reported, was charged in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Diana Martinez-Gonzalez after she was found shot to death in a wooded area in the town of Easley, South Carolina.
During a press conference, Master Deputy Ryan Flood said the DACA recipient confessed to a deputy about his alleged murder of Martinez-Gonzalez, a high school student.
Sherrer allegedly murdered the girl in the wooded area because she had spread false rumors about him, the illegal alien told deputies. Police say the DACA recipient had also held another teenage girl against her will, but that she escaped the scene.
Sherrer is now facing first-degree murder charges and should he be released from prison at any time, he will be deported.
Under DACA, created by Obama in 2012, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens were prevented from being deported by receiving temporary amnesty in the U.S.
President Trump’s administration, via Attorney General Jeff Sessions, announced that the program will officially end in March 2018, though the Republican establishment and Democrats are pushing to give permanent amnesty to the recipients.
Most recently, Ivanka Trump called DACA recipients “innocent people”, Breitbart Newsreported.
More than 2,100 illegal alien DACA recipients were kicked from the program for crimes and gang affiliations.

HOW “CHEAP” IS ALL THAT INVADING “CHEAP” LABOR?

Natalio Vitervo-Vasquez was deported twice but returned to provide “cheap” labor. He can’t read or write and raped his 10-year-old daughter.

Illegal Aliens Escalate Amnesty Demands, Claim Racism

Top Democrats and business allies invited reporters to a Capitol Hill event to watch illegal immigrants demand amnesty and smear Republicans as racist, in Spanish and broken English.

“I’m here representing all the immigrant mothers like myself, will not allow the government to tear down our sons’ and daughters’ dreams while they try to separate our families,” said Lenka Mendoza, an unskilled illegal alien who has been living in the United States for 17 years since the year President Geoge W. Bush was elected. She continued, using a translator, saying:
The president does not care about our children and our families. Trump and his government supposed priorities are nothing else but an anti-immigrant and white-supremacist agenda that don’t solve anything … need clean act now.”

Lenka w/ @WomenBelong: I'm here representing imm moms who will not let Trump tear down our childrens' dreams while separating our families.

Mendoza was welcomed to the podium by Todd Schulte, a Democratic political activist who is president of FWD.us, a lobbying group formed by Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg,  Venture Capitalists and software CEOs. Nine of the group’s 15 founders are investors who would gain from cheaper white-collar labor and a larger population of customers in the United States.
Schulte hosted the event to showcase Democrats’ opposition to President Trump’s new immigration principles, which balance business’ demands for more workers and customers against Americans’ worries that they and their children will be unfairly outsourced, sidelined and ignored amid mass immigration.
In his October 8 letter to Congress, Trump said:
These findings outline reforms that must be included as part of any legislation addressing the status of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.  Without these reforms, illegal immigration and chain migration, which severely and unfairly burden American workers and taxpayers, will continue without end.
Immigration reform must create more jobs, higher wages, and greater security for Americans — now and for future generations.  The reforms outlined in the enclosure are necessary to ensure prosperity, opportunity, and safety for every member of our national family.
Instead of urging compromise, Schulte’s speakers upped their demands, saying they want an amnesty for young ‘dreamer’ illegals plus an amnesty for their parents, to be delivered immediately and without any compromises, such as the improved border defenses sought by a supermajority of Americans.
The illegals were invited to speak alongside leadership speakers at the event, including the House Democrats’ leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi — who described Trump’s immigration proposals as “trash” — and the chairwoman of the Democrats’ Hispanic caucus.
The escalating demands and aggressive rhetoric from Schulte’s illegals were much sharperthan the prior soft-spoken claims by Democratic leaders who say they want to protect ‘dreamers’ from deportation. That soft, poll-tested language has been damaged by simple questions from reporters who have shown the bigger-than-expected scalecost and demographic impact of what started out as supposedly modest demand to save 690,000 DACA illegals from repatriation.
The new language from Mendoza included a claim that immigration-enforcement officers of “terrorizing” people.
“Congress can solve today the young people’s situation without using them as an excuse to deport their mothers or spending more money terrorizing people that live near the border,” said Mendoza, an unskilled migrant who cleans houses for a living.
“Many people think ending DACA or approving the Dream Act will only affect young people, but this is not true. This is something that effects all of us – mothers, our families and all of our communities,” Mendoza said.
A second illegal, Ingrid Vaca, said she arrived in the United States from Bolivia in 2000. “I came to this country with dreams to protect my sons and to give them a better future,” she said in heavily accented English, adding: I would not let anything stand in their way.”

“I am here today to say that as a strong woman and loving mother of two  recipients, I will continue to fight for a !”

Vaca continued:
DACA away was taken away by Trump and his racist advisors, Jeff Sessions and Steven Miller … We will not let racist men negotiate with our kids’ lives … We will not allow our families to be broken up … A mother’s love is stronger than the racists from the White House.
The escalated demands from the illegal aliens are compatible with Schulte’s goals, which primarily include a defeat of the popular RAISE Act, authorized by Goerge Sen. David Perdue and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton.
The RAISE Act is a problem for Schulte’s investors because it would halve the inflow of new customers and workers, and –worse — it would prevent the investors from pushing Congress to pass the so-called “staple” green card proposal.
The proposed “staple” visa program would allow foreign students at U.S. universities to receive a green card stapled to their graduate degree. It is very popular among business groups because it would create a huge wave of salary-cutting white-collar competition in the skilled job sectors where young Americans hope to earn a good living. The salary-cutting competition would be intensified by the government’s offer of the very valuable prize of citizenship to foreign graduates who take jobs sought by the 800,000 Americans who graduate from college each year with skilled degrees in business and medicine, engineering, architecture and science, technology, math and chemical engineering.
But Schulte’s investors won’t get their staple proposal — or any increase in white-collar H-1B outsourcing — if Trump and the voters pressure Democrats to accept Trump’s popularimmigration principles in exchange for a limited amnesty.

The third illegal alien introduced by Schulte was Luis Condorimay, who migrated to the United States from Peru at age 13 and earned a 2016 degree in chemical engineering.
An amnesty for just younger illegals is unacceptable if it does not also include their parents, he insisted.  “This is just not something I can do. Would you accept a law where you protect yourself … but hurt your father and mother?”
He also spoke against any border and enforcement upgrades, and described the illegal-alien communities as the victims:
There are politicians in power right now who want to deport my father and my mother, who want to separate me from my little sister. Those politicians are the same ones who killed DACA and put the lives of immigrants on the line. They want now to use my life and the life of my sister, who also has DACA, as a bargaining chip to get a wall built on the Southern border and to militarize our border, to increase the number of immigrants agents in our cities and continue to terrorize and separate our families. They say they have heart for us, they say they understand our pain, but all they really want to do is hurt our families and continue to sperate us as they have done for the past many years … I ask you all here today to put yourself in our shoes, just for one moment: Haven’t we suffered enough already?”
“We need [amnesty] now, we need it right now because too many families have already been separated,” he said.

Four million Americans turn 18 each year and begin looking for good jobs in the free market.
But business groups have used their political power to tilt the labor market in their favor,  via the federal policy of importing 1 million consumers and workers each year. The government also hands out almost 3 million short-term work permits to foreign workers. These permits include roughly 330,000 one-year OPT permits for foreign graduates of U.S. colleges, roughly 200,000 three-year H-1B visas for foreign white-collar professionals, and 400,000 two-year permits to DACA illegals. Universities employ roughly 100,000 foreign guest workers.
That Washington-imposed economic policy of mass-immigration floods the market with foreign laborspikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. It also drives up real estate priceswidens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least 5 million marginalized Americans and their families, including many who are now struggling with opioid addictions.
The cheap-labor policy has also reduced investment and job creation in many interior states because the coastal cities have a surplus of imported labor. For example, almost 27 percent of zip codes in Missouri had fewer jobs or businesses in 2015 than in 2000, according to a new report by the Economic Innovation Group. In Kansas, almost 29 percent of zip codes had fewer jobs and businesses in 2015 compared to 2000, which was a two-decade period of massive cheap-labor immigration.
Americans tell pollsters that they strongly oppose amnesties and cheap-labor immigration, even as most Americans also want to favor legal immigrants, and many sympathize with illegals.
Because of the successful cheap-labor strategy, wages for men have remained flat since 1973, and a growing percentage of the nation’s annual income is shifting to investors and away from employees.
“Prosecutors say the girl, who was 11-years-old at the time, went to a medical center where it was determined she was pregnant. Officials say she would have conceived the child at ten years of age.”

ILLEGALS & WELFARE
70% OF ILLEGALS GET WELFARE!
“According to the Centers for Immigration Studies, April '11, at least 70% of Mexican illegal alien families receive some type of welfare in the US!!! cis.org”
CIS

So when cities across the country declare that they will NOT be sanctuary, guess where ALL the illegals, criminals, gang members fleeing ICE will go???? straight to your welcoming city. So ironically the people fighting for sanctuary city status, may have an unprecedented crime wave to deal with along with the additional expense.

San Diego Aims to Ban ‘Free Mooring’ to Eliminate Abandoned Boats by Mexican Smugglers

2

San Diego Lifeguards are proposing a time limit for boaters who wish to anchor off San Diego’s North Island in order to resolve the abandoned boat crisis caused mostly by Mexican smugglers, bringing drugs and people into the U.S. illegally.

The San Diego Tribune reports:
Drug smugglers, people trying to avoid homelessness and boat owners who can’t afford maintenance costs have been more frequently abandoning vessels in the sometimes choppy waters, lifeguard and Navy officials say.
The boats often break apart during rainstorms or high surf, sometimes emitting fuel and hazardous materials into the ocean and onto the beach. Demolition and clean-up costs can also be significant when boats wash ashore.
Sixty-one abandoned vessels have sunk, been beached or broken apart in the last seven years, with 21 of those incidents happening since January, officials said.
City lifeguards are proposing a new law that would limit anchoring in the area to two hours maximum, which would help prevent the problem but allow enough time for boaters who anchor there to fish, hunt for lobsters or snorkel.
“We really believe this will help go a long way in preventing these types of problems with our environment and these types of clean-ups,” Lifeguard Chief Rick Wurts said. “It’s important to note we are not asking for it to be a ‘no anchorage’ area at all because a lot of people like to go down there.”
The proposed law, which would eliminate one of the last free places to anchor or moor a boat in the San Diego area, is further complicated by complex jurisdictional boundaries controlled by the Navy, the city and the port of San Diego.
The burden to clean up and remove the damaged boat falls mostly on the Navy—because the boats wash up onto the shore of North Island Naval Air Station—who reportedly says the cost to remove and dispose of each vessel is between $2,500 and $50,000.
The city of San Diego, which has jurisdiction over the waters off the military base, require the new law in order to issue tickets to vessels there because there are currently no laws prohibiting anchorage in the Pacific Ocean, Wurts reportedly told the Tribune.
On occasion, vessels will break apart and leak fuel into the water, causing an expensive hazmat clean up.  Sometimes it’s a California regulation that prevents taking action.  For part of the year, this type of work is prohibited by an environmental law put in place to protect a bird called the California least tern.
Some boats are abandoned by those on the verge of homeless, who’ve tried living on their boat, but could not sustain the dock rent.
Those abandoned by drug smugglers, usually get removed quickly by U.S. Customs and Border Enforcement because they can be used as evidence in smuggling cases.
The abandoned boat crisis is adding to international tensions as San Diego is left unreimbursed for cleaning up unwanted pollution–reminiscent of the hundreds of millions of gallons of raw sewage that crossed the border illegally and contaminated San Diego beaches earlier this year.

JEFF SESSION’S LONG BATTLE FOR THE AMERICAN WORKER  He is the only one in the country that has consistently spoken out for the AMERICAN WORKER!
Sessions should keep dragging Trump out of his amnesty closet and build the wall against NARCOMEX!

Jeff Sessions Calls Out the Asylum Racket, Demands Reform from Congress

In a Thursday address, Attorney General Jeff Sessions took aim at the ballooning burden of asylum claims on the American immigration review system.

Days after the White House included the asylum system in its immigration reform priorities, Sessions spoke about fraud and abuse in what he called America’s “generous asylum policy,” at the headquarters of the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) in Falls Church, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. “[T]his system is currently subject to rampant abuse and fraud. And as this system becomes overloaded with fake claims, it cannot deal effectively with just claims. The surge in trials, hearings, appeals, bond proceedings has been overwhelming,” he said in his prepared remarks.
Sessions went on to describe a once functional system that, under the stewardship of President Barack Obama’s Department of Homeland Security, became a loophole through which countless illegals have made their home in the United States while EOIR’s immigration courtrooms are swamped in litigation. As he related, the single greatest change came in 2009, when the Obama administration issued a directive to release into the United States, instead of detain, asylum claimants who merely made an initial credible claim of fear from returning to their home countries.
“The system is being gamed,” Sessions said. “The credible fear process was intended to be a lifeline for persons facing serious persecution. But it has become an easy ticket to illegal entry into the United States.”
As Breitbart News reported extensively over the last few years, aliens aware of the Obama-era policy, especially unaccompanied minors, turn themselves in by the thousand, knowing that they stand a good chance of simply being released pending later adjudication. “Almost anyone at all can call themselves an asylum-seeker and get in; it’s a global joke,” Kenneth Palinkas, president of a union representing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officers said in 2015. “It’s not border security if anyone can recite the magic words and get waved right on in. Those who arrived in the 2014 border run are still here, often living on US support and even applying for US jobs.”
National Public Radio’s This American Life, in their own reporting from the border this January, provided an anecdote of the workings of the asylum system:
So the girl who said the gangs were after her, she probably wouldn’t get asylum. But she is entitled to a hearing to see. So she’ll be taken to a detention center, processed, and eventually released. She’ll be assigned a court date, but because the system is so backed up, that date can be more than six years from now. And during that time, [Border Patrol agent] Chris [Cabrera] says, she and the others can disappear into America, get work permits. The kids will enter school. They’ll start a life.
Lots of people don’t show up for their court date. They join the 11 million undocumented people living in this country.
The attorney general put stark numerical reality to these reports on the wave of asylum seekers Thursday, saying:
Here are the shocking statistics: in 2009, DHS conducted more than 5,000 credible fear reviews. By 2016, that number had increased to 94,000. The number of these aliens placed in removal proceedings went from fewer than 4,000 in 2009 to more than 73,000 by 2016—nearly a 19-fold increase—overwhelming the system and leaving those with just claims buried.
The increase has been especially pronounced and abused at the border. From 2009 to 2016, the credible fear claims at the border went from approximately 3,000 cases to more than 69,000.
All told the Executive Office for Immigration Review has over 600,000 cases pending—tripled from 2009.
Human smugglers and open-borders NGOs know the law well, and those claiming asylum have internalized the “script” that triggers an initial determination of a credible fear. The attorney general also cited immigration lawyers as a major source of this abuse, saying, “Dirty immigration lawyers who are encouraging their otherwise unlawfully present clients to make false claims of asylum providing them with the magic words needed to trigger the credible fear process.”
Breitbart News reported, in June, on organized efforts by the immigration bar to shield as many asylum seekers as possible from deportation. Efforts like these have been aided for years by what Sessions called “case law that has expanded the concept of asylum well beyond Congressional intent.”
Sometimes, Sessions noted, immigration lawyers veer into criminality. “As of March 2014, a joint fraud investigation led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, resulted in charges against 30 defendants, including 8 attorneys, for their alleged participation in immigration fraud schemes,” he said.
Sessions explained:
Our asylum laws are meant to protect those who because of characteristics like their race, religion, nationality, or political opinions cannot find protection in their home countries. They were never intended to provide asylum to all those who fear generalized violence, crime, personal vendettas, or a lack of job prospects. Yet, vague, insubstantial, and subjective claims have swamped our system.
Sessions called out the current system on its strikingly high approval rates. “DHS found a credible fear in 88 percent of claims adjudicated. That means an alien entering the United States illegally has an 88 percent chance to avoid expedited removal simply by claiming a fear of return,” he said. “But even more telling, half of those that pass that screening—the very people who say they came here seeking asylum—never even file an asylum application once they are in the United States.”
Final adjudication of the claims found credible by DHS is a major part of EOIR’s caseload. “Denying an asylum application is difficult to prove—and so it seldom happens,” Sessions bemoaned. “That’s why there’s a common, fatalistic refrain you’ll hear from immigration judges and immigration enforcement that ‘the case isn’t over until the alien wins.'”
In response, Sessions reiterated his endorsement of President Trump’s immigration priorities and called on Congress to pass legislation that includes “significant asylum reform, swift border returns, and enhanced interior enforcement.” He added:
We can impose and enforce penalties for baseless or fraudulent asylum applications and expand the use of expedited removal.  We can elevate the threshold standard of proof in credible fear interviews.  We can expand the ability to return asylum seekers to safe third countries.  We can close loopholes and clarify our asylum laws to ensure that they help those they were intended to help.
The attorney general’s speech was well received among anti-mass migration groups. Dale L. Wilcox, executive director and general counsel of the Immigration Reform Law Institute, a group that works to combat asylum fraud, told Breitbart News:
Attorney General Sessions accurately described the loopholes, fraud and general attitude of permissiveness that has characterized our immigration system for too long. We applaud the efforts of the Attorney General and the administration to change course and develop an immigration policy that is primarily focused on the best interests of America and its lawful citizens.
Some immigration lawyers, however, reacted with outrage, particularly at Sessions’s use of the term “dirty immigration lawyers.”
