NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks: E-Verify Ignored in DACA Negotiations

Members of Congress broadly oppose a legislative nationwide E-Verify mandate for employers because “they know it will work,” said NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks, explaining why E-Verify is not being pushed in congressional negotiations for an amnesty deal for recipients of the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Jenks further noted that both parties are beholden to special interests supportive of “mass migration.”

Trump calls for money for border wall by 2028, a week too late
President Trump's budget calls for funding for his border wall.  Kudos, President Trump – mega-kudos to you!
The White House unveiled a budget proposal on Monday heavy on fulfilling President Donald Trump's campaign promises, pressing for new spending on infrastructure and a border wall.
But the document – always a political exercise by Presidents that stands little chance of being adopted by Congress – is especially immaterial this year, since lawmakers approved a two-year spending plan just last week.
Ooops!  Maybe last week was the time to demand money for a border wall!  Maybe last week, when the government had a must-pass bill to keep the government open, was the time when Trump had the most leverage to demand funding for his wall.  Democrats, who had briefly shut down the government to demand amnesty for illegals, saw that tactic backfire on them and were afraid to do so again.  Imagine if Trump had noticed their reticence and used the opportunity to demand border wall funding!
Unfortunately, this happens only in MAGA fan fiction.  Now that the Congress is getting down to the business of individual spending bills, Democrats have no incentive to give Trump anything.  They can get the departments they like funded while stiffing the Department of Homeland Security.
But it still isn't clear if Trump even wants a border wall, he's so far to the left on immigration in general.  Listen to Mark Levin (at the 28-minute mark) talking about the president's negotiating position on immigration.  Democrats had asked for legalization of 700,000 illegals, and the president responded by offeringcitizenship for 1.8 million.
Why would the president of the United States take 700,000 people, who have signed up for DACA, which is unconstitutional, which Obama did in violation of separation of powers...why would you take that and say, "You know what?  I'll negotiate against myself.  Let's make it 1.8 million people, and not [merely] legalization, but citizenship."  Oh, wow, look how he positioned the Democrats!  Excuse me?  It's not about positioning the Democrats.  It's about the rule of law.  It's about doing the right thing.
Here's another tidbit: Trump is requesting funds to build a border wall...over ten years.
About $1.6 billion in Trump's budget would add 65 miles of walls along the southern border with Mexico.  That's part of Trump's request of $18 billion over 10 years to build additional walls and fences along the border.
When I see the president planning to take ten years to build a border wall, when I see him offering citizenship, not merely amnesty, to more illegals than Obama ever did, when he employs one of Obama's goons to run ICE, it seems to me that he just doesn't take border security very seriously.

Trump war budget calls for sweeping cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps

By Patrick Martin
13 February 2018
The Trump administration released its proposed budget for the 2019 fiscal year on Monday, calling on Congress to enact the massive boost in military spending indicated in a bipartisan budget deal last week, but withhold the funding for domestic programs approved under the same agreement.
Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said the $63 billion increase in non-defense domestic spending incorporated into the budget resolution was not mandatory. “These are spending caps. They’re not spending floors,” he said. “So you don’t have to spend all that.”
An addendum to the budget, prepared in response to the bipartisan deal, calls for Congress to spend $6 billion on the opioid crisis and forgo any other increases.
Given that Trump signed the bipartisan spending framework into law last Friday, and that both the House and Senate are already working on appropriations bills based on it, it is unlikely that the White House appeal to renege on the domestic side of the agreement will have any effect on current spending.
Nonetheless, the priorities laid down in the massive budget document indicate the outlook and intentions of the financial oligarchy in regard to fiscal and social policy. It wants virtually unlimited increases in military spending combined with dramatic cuts in domestic spending, particularly on the so-called entitlement programs, for which spending is driven by the number of people enrolled and qualified for benefits, not specific appropriations by Congress.
Last week’s bipartisan agreement, passed with the support of the congressional Democratic leadership, and with a critical 73 Democratic votes in the House of Representatives, called for $716 billion in military spending for the current fiscal year, which ends September 30, an increase of $80 billion. The military would get an additional increase of $85 billion in fiscal year 2019, which begins October 1, as well as $140 billion in off-budget funding over the two-year period for “overseas contingencies,” budget jargon for the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
The Trump budget incorporates all this money for the Pentagon, and for further increases in the “out-years,” from fiscal 2020 through fiscal 2027 (by law, the federal budget projects spending over a 10-year period).
In contrast to this bonanza for the US military machine, the world’s largest by far, the Trump budget calls for slashing more than $1 trillion from entitlement programs over the next 10 years: $554 billion from Medicare, $250 billion from Medicaid, and $214 billion from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the formal name of the food stamp benefit.
The cuts in Medicare would include $47 billion to come from a reduction in subsidies for prescription drug costs, forcing the elderly to pay more, and $34 billion through the elimination of “facility fees” for some hospital-owned medical practices, which would lead some hospitals to turn away Medicare recipients in favor of more lucrative patients.
Both Medicaid and food stamps are joint federal-state programs, and many of the cuts would come from allowing states to enact harsher eligibility and work requirements, thus driving poor people off the programs and into even deeper poverty.
Other cuts are more vaguely described, including $1.5 trillion over 10 years to come from reorganization and a reduction in the number of programs by 2 percent per year, or a reduction in “improper payments,” otherwise undefined.
There would be draconian cuts directed against the jobs, living standards and benefits of federal government workers. Specific agencies for which the Trump White House has a special animus are targeted for the most dramatic cuts: a 26 percent cut in the State Department, for example, and a 34 percent cut in the Environmental Protection Agency. It is unlikely that either of these cuts will actually be enacted this year, but the intention is clear.
Even within the framework of last week’s bipartisan budget agreement, there is ample room for reactionary measures. Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Mulvaney said: “Take the money that the Democrats want to put to these social programs, and move it to things like infrastructure, move it to things like opioid relief, move it to things that are in line with the president’s priorities, so that—if it does get spent—at least it gets spent to the right places.” This would include, among other things, using funds intended for the opioid crisis to pay for more police and prisons rather than addiction treatment or Narcan emergency resuscitation.
Besides the huge military build-up, the Trump budget calls for an additional $18 billion over two years for building a wall along the US-Mexico border, as well as $5 billion for additional Border Patrol and ICE officers, and a 25 percent increase in the number of beds in immigrant detention facilities, bringing the total daily capacity to 52,000, the highest ever.
The budget also assumes the complete repeal of Obamacare this year, although the Republican-controlled Congress failed to do so last year, repealing only the individual mandate. Other items on the Trump wish list include such ultra-right perennials as shutting down the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and eliminating the tiny federal subsidies for the arts and humanities.
The budget document acknowledges that even the drastic cuts proposed in domestic spending over the next decade would not suffice to eliminate the federal budget deficit because of the impact of the tax cut for the wealthy enacted in December. While during the congressional debate on the tax cut plan, the White House claimed that the steep reduction in taxes on corporations and the wealthy would unleash so much economic growth that it would pay for itself, the budget document drops this pretense and admits that federal tax collections will be far lower every year for the next 10 years.
Overall federal debt will climb by $7 trillion during that period, and that is with economic assumptions considered absurdly optimistic by most economists—economic growth averaging 3 percent or more a year and interest rates on federal debt never exceeding 4 percent. More realistic models suggest trillion dollar deficits every year, rising to more than $2 trillion a year by the mid-2020s, with annual interest payments alone topping $1 trillion.
Along with the budget document, the White House released Trump’s program for rebuilding US infrastructure, a proposal that is as full of holes as the aging bridges Trump claims he will begin repairing.
The American Society of Civil Engineers estimates that $4.59 trillion is needed through 2025 merely to repair existing infrastructure. The Trump plan offers a drop in the bucket, $200 billion over 10 years, which the administration claims would “stimulate” another $1.3 billion in private and state government investment, a figure widely derided by analysts outside the White House.
Trump proposes not one dollar of actual new funding, calling for the $200 billion to come from cuts in other programs, including existing infrastructure spending such as federal aid to mass transit. Some of the proposed spending would be in the form of block grants to states, provided they came up with sizeable matching contributions—not at the current 50-50 standard, but a much lower federal share.
Far from a genuine effort to rebuild the corroded infrastructure of roads, bridges, airports, mass transportation and water and sewer systems, the Trump plan is a pretext for waiving environmental and safety regulations—in the name of expediting construction and repair—and privatizing what remains of the public infrastructure, handing it over to corporations that will charge exorbitant fees, including tolls on roads and bridges, and sky-high bills for water and sewer services.

AMERICAN TRAITOR: JOHN McCAIN AND THE LA RAZA HEROIN CARTELS

Mitch McConnell Is Throwing The Democrats All The Rope They Want On DACA

I’ve been seeing some pleasantly shocked responses (or at least expressions of puzzlement) from mainstream journalists over Mitch McConnell’s plans for bringing a DACA bill to the floor for debate. Unlike his normal, carefully calculated approach, the Senate Majority Leader is offering up a free-for-all where everyone, Democrats included, will be able to bring up their own amendments for debate and a vote. The way things stand now, as Politico reported this morning, nobody really knows what’s going to be in the bill. And as far as Chuck Schumer’s caucus is concerned, that’s a good thing.
Mitch McConnell is taking the reins of an immigration debate that may prompt a fix for “Dreamers” — or quickly spiral out of control.
Usually careful with his every move, the Senate majority leader is taking a gamble this week with his pledge for a free-for-all debate over the fate of hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants.
No one knows the GOP leader’s endgame, nor how he personally prefers the stalemate over Dreamers be resolved. It’s highly unusual for a Senate majority leader, particularly one as calculating as McConnell, to bring a divisive issue to the floor with no clearly intended result in sight.
Isn’t this awfully, er… messy compared to what we’ve seen in the past? Normally, the party holding the majority approaches these types of debates warily, limiting the options of the minority and trying to get something done with the least media damage possible. But these negotiations may be a horse of a different color precisely because this open floor food fight works for McConnell on two levels.
TRENDING:
Mitch McConnell is throwing the Democrats all the rope they want on DACA
First of all, he made a promise to Chuck Schumer about this. If the Democrats allowed the recent spending bills to go through and didn’t shut down the government again, the GOP would give them an open debate and a vote on DACA, coming up with something to do about the Dreamers. (And, at least according to the President, millions more who were never in the program. (#sigh)) If McConnell went back on that promise, Schumer would be beating him up over it straight through the midterms. This way Mitch comes off as being “an honest broker” in these talks, as John Thune said last night.
Second, and perhaps more importantly, the Senate Majority Leader believes (probably correctly) that he has a winning hand to play. Schumer will be coming in trying to oppose anything and everything that Trump wants, fighting him at every turn, while pushing for the biggest DACA package he can get. But we’ve got enough polling on the subject over the past year or so to know that many of the points the Democrats will be trying to make (and forcing their members to vote on) are not really very popular with the public. Most people want lower legal immigration quotas, or at least not to have an increase in them. They do want something done for the Dreamers, but the public has already signaled quite clearly that they weren’t willing to support a government shutdown over it. And prioritizing illegal aliens over the safety and security of American citizens is never going to be a popular selling point.
The only thing the Democrats have managed to sell the public on is that they don’t want to spend all that money on the wall. Not that people actually oppose a stronger border… it’s just the money. (Because the party out of power always pretends to care about spending, even when it’s the Republicans.)
I’m willing to bet that this is just what Mitch McConnell is thinking. By allowing all these amendments and votes, he demonstrates that he was good to his word on the budget deal. Simultaneously, he allows the far left wing of the Democrats to put up a bunch of proposals that have slim support among the voters and take votes on them that they will then have to defend in the midterms. And in the end, the majority can still shut down any amendments that are completely out of whack.
It looks to me like McConnell is throwing Chuck Schumer as much rope as he’s willing to take and inviting the Democrats to go hang themselves with it. From that point of view, it really doesn’t look very risky at all.

Six Ways the GOP Is Trying to Lose the Amnesty and Immigration Fight

http://www.breitbart.com/2018-elections/2018/02/11/six-ways-gop-trying-lose-amnesty-immigration-fight/

GOP Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has devised an immigration debate this week which can help an alliance of Democrats and roughly 15 business-first Republican Senators push an amnesty through the Senate while blocking President Donald Trump’s pro-American reforms.

“I think this is an effort that is set up to fail [Trump and] is not set up to help Americans,” said Rosemary Jenks, government relations director at NumbersUSA. She continued:
This [Senate debate] is a very serious threat — screwing up the immigration debate will cost the Republicans the House and potentially even the Senate [in November], which means President Trump gets impeached.
Sen. McConnell’s debate decision is just one of several occasions where GOP team members have fumbled the political ball on amnesty even when Democrats push it into their hands. The repeated failures by the GOP establishment is reminiscent of the “failure theater” strategy which they used in 2015 to hide their planned loss of a 2015 amnesty showdown with President Barack Obama.
Here are six occasions where GOP passivity or failure have helped advance an amnesty.
A. President Donald Trump’s congressional liaison aide is not trying to persuade Senators to back the President’s plan. Instead, Marc Short is merely acting as a “mediator,” according to Politico:
In his first year as Trump’s top liaison to Congress, Republicans say Short has been more of a facilitator, rather than an arm-twister. That role will become particularly critical on immigration – an issue Congress has spectacularly failed to resolve in the past.
“I don’t see him as the real deal-maker so much as the kind of go-between, the mediator,” said Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), who’s interacted with Short on a host of issues including health care, the opioid crisis and energy policy. “He doesn’t try to reshape our thoughts. He sort of takes it in, and then, I’m assuming, reports back to the White House.”
B. House Speaker Paul Ryan is not trying to push the pro-American immigration bill drafted by judiciary chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte, even though it offers the most benefits to Americans at the least cost — three-year work-permits (not citizenship or residency) to illegals — and it has been backed by a White House statement. Instead, Ryan just said February 8 that:
To anyone who doubts my intention to solve this problem and bring up a DACA and immigration reform bill, do not. We will bring a solution to the floor, one that the president will sign.
That policy offers Democrats and the business community a strategy of pressuring Trump into more concessions — for example, approving a big amnesty in exchange for wall funding without needed legal reforms — so that Ryan can rush the pro-amnesty bill through the House.
C. GOP Senators have done nothing since the January shutdown to argue that Democrats favor illegals over Americans. In January, that tough argument — by McConnell, among others — helped them win the shutdown fight, according to the Washington Post:
With the shutdown heading into its third day, they were feeling the heat and finding it hard to control the messaging war. Voters in Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were getting Republican robo-calls saying Democrats had “prioritized illegal immigrants over American citizens.”
There are plenty of opportunities for the GOP to replay the tough rhetoric. The February 7 emotional speech by the Democrats’ leader in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, recreated that opportunity. So did the statement by Democratic Sen. Tom Carper when he suggested February 5 that millions of sidelined Americans should be discarded so that ‘dreamer’ illegals can get jobs:
Today, when folks want to work in this country, there is still 2 to 3 million jobs unfilled. Unfilled! Nobody is there to do the jobs, they don’t have the education, the work skills, the work ethic, they can’t pass a drug test … are we going to send 700-800,00 [DACA illegal immigrants] people back home to the countries where they were born? They are perfectly capable of doing these jobs, they can pass a drug test, why would we do that?
But the effective rhetoric — Democrats prefer migrants to Americans — has been buried by McConnell since the shutdown, even though Democrats and their allies are eager to sway public opinion by describing Trump, GOP politicians, and GOP voters as bigots and racists.
D. Senate leaders have done nothing to build public support for moderate Sen. Chuck Grassley’s immigration bill, which is publicly backed by McConnell’s deputy, Texas Sen. John Cornyn. The Grassley bill implements Trump’s four-part framework plan and so would help nudge up Americans’ wages by reducing the extra supply of workers via legal chain immigration. Their inaction means no media debate about the impact of mass immigration on voters’ wages, salaries, or productivity in an age of ever-widening automation, even though business leaders are making their cheap-labor goals very clear. Dunkin’ Donuts CEO Nigel Travis said in a CNBC interview on February 9:
Skilled labor remains a challenge for Dunkin’s franchisees, and Travis emphasized the need for immigration reform. “We need more people. Talking to Democrats and Republicans, there seems to be a fair amount of agreement that it needs to be split between the amount of security and letting all people come into the country and becoming citizens — all we’re asking is to increase the labor pool.”
Immigration polls which ask people to pick a priority or decide which option is fairshow that voters in the polling booth put a high priority on helping their families and fellow nationals get decent jobs in a high-tech, high-immigrationlow-wage economy. Those results are very different from the “Nation of Immigrants” polls which are funded by business and progressives, and which pressure Americans to say they welcome migrants.
E. GOP Senators remain silent when Trump pushes his very popular immigration reform.

My Administration has identified three major priorities for creating a safe, modern and lawful immigration system: fully securing the border, ending chain migration, and canceling the visa lottery. Congress must secure the immigration system and protect Americans.

The silence after Trump’s immigration statements is clear in the Senators’ Twitter accounts – herehere, and here, which instead tout the business-boosting tax cuts.
Georgia Sen. David Perdue and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, however, are Trump’s most outspoken allies in the push for pro-American immigration reform.

Tomorrow, a group of senators & I will introduce a bill that mirrors @POTUS’ immigration framework. President Trump has been very clear about what he will sign into law, & this is it. It’s the only solution that fully addresses the four pillars of his framework.
If people really want to solve the DACA situation, secure our border, & fix the flaws in our current system that incentivize illegal immigration, they should be eager to support this plan. MORE: http://bit.ly/2nSndae

Tomorrow, 6 of my colleagues and I will introduce a proposal that will protect those eligible for DACA, but also make sure we don’t end up back here in 5 years by truly solving the underlying problems with our immigration system. MORE: http://ow.ly/a1gz30ikShL

F. This week’s Senate debate on immigration was designed by McConnell, and it helps an informal coalition of Democrats and business-first Republicans collect 60 votes to pass an amnesty and prevent any cutbacks in legal immigration.
McConnell designed the even-handed debate rule after helping Democrats’ retreat from their pro-amnesty, unpopular and damaging government shutdown mistake in January. His rule says Senators will start with an empty bill and insert whatever proposals get 60 votes.
McConnell could have followed the normal procedure he used in the tough fight over the tax bill — only allow a vote on a single option. For example, he could have allowed only an up-or-down vote on Grassley’s bill implementing Trump’s four-part amnesty-and-immigration proposal. That single-vote strategy would force red-state Democrats and business-first Republicans to vote for Grassley’s immigration-and-amnesty bill if they wanted to have any popular pro-American immigration-reform vote on their resume before the November election, even though it comes packaged with an amnesty.
But McConnell’s empty-bill rules means that many Senators can first fake a vote for Trump’s plan — and then swiftly push through a pro-business, cheap-labor amnesty.
That process can be accomplished if Democratic Senators coordinate to keep the vote for Trump’s plan just below the threshold of 60 votes. Once that fake pro-Trump vote is accomplished, then 11 or more business-first Republicans can jump over the Democrats to deliver 60 votes for the amnesty bill they prefer to pass, for example, the amnesty plan developed by the swinging Senators or perhaps the plan offered by amnesty enthusiast Sen. Jeff Flake.
That fake-then-real vote process can help roughly ten red-state Democrats — and perhaps 15 business-first Republicans — wrap themselves in a pro-Trump vote before the November election while also delivering the amnesty sought by their business allies.
McConnell “could have started with the Grassley bill,” said Jenks. “I honestly can’t fathom it.”
Jenks continued:
The only way this [Senate debate] comes out as a positive for President Trump is if the Senate passes the Grassley bill, as it is, or with good amendments, and then it has to be conferenced with the Goodlatte bill from the House …
If the House and Senate Republicans leaders want to keep the House and Senate, the Grassley bill is the minimum that they have to get.
“President Trump clearly understands where the American people are” on immigration, Jenks said. “This was reflected in his campaign, and in his presidency, and he should not abandon it now.”

Terrible January Jobs Report Wipes Out 2017 Trump Effect. Maybe a Statistical Quirk - But American Needs an Immigration Moratorium

By Edwin S. Rubenstein

VDare.com, February 6, 2018

According to the Labor Department employment report released Friday, there were 1.246 million more working-age immigrants (legal and illegal) in January 2018 than in January 2017—a increase of 3.01%. The corresponding American population rose by just 0.68% over this period.

Why? We can’t discount the possibility that another unrecognized illegal alien surge is underway. Border watchers say it is. But the numbers involved, even gross, are not large enough to explain the abrupt turn from immigrant workforce population declines in late 2017 to a sudden increase of 1.2 million+ in the first month of 2018.

The more likely candidate: a statistical artifact—reporting changes implemented in 2018. The January 2018 population figures for both immigrants and native-born Americans reflect “new population controls” used by BLS for estimating this year’s working-age population. But earlier years are not revised, so population data for this January is not directly comparable with data for January 2017 or earlier years.

Common Sense Immigration for the 21st Century
By Robert J. Samuelson

Investors Business Daily

As for legal immigration, there would be a ceiling of about 1 million annually, which until recently was roughly the level of admissions. But there would be a fundamental change in the criteria for legal immigration, from family connections to workplace skills. The better educated immigrants are, the easier for them to adapt to a new society.

There are at least three reasons to support this sort of system.

First, the existing system has increased U.S. poverty, driven by inflows of poorly skilled legal and illegal workers. It's as if there were an agency called the Unskilled Workers Bureau dedicated to increasing U.S. poverty.

Swinging Senators Offer Amnesty With a ‘Trigger’

A group of swing-voting Senators has drafted an immigration proposal which recycles the failed “trigger” scheme from the disastrous Gang of Eight amnesty plan which eventually loosed Donald Trump on Washington.

The bill has been developed for introduction in the Senate’s immigration debate, starting Monday, by a group of GOP and Democratic Senators.
The proposal is just grandstanding, said one source, because it does not try to meet three of President Donald Trump four requirements, which were laid out in his State of the Union speech. “If they wanted a bill, they would be working with the President,” said the source.
The trigger in the 2013 plan was intended to mute public opposition to the bill’s huge amnesty for all illegals in the United States. It allowed Senators to say that the final parts of the amnesty would be withheld until government officials certified the border security met supposedly strict criteria outlined in the Senates amnesty bill.
But the 2013 trigger was a fake because the criteria were so vague they could not have stopped the political and business pressure to complete the amnesty.
The trigger was also a political failure because it could not save the unpopular amnesty bill from being buried by the House in June 2014.
Also, while the trigger helped the amnesty bill pass the Senate 68-32, the amnesty debate prompted a populist reaction in the GOP. That reaction helped flip nine Democratic seats to the GOP the next November, and helped Trump win election as President in November 2016. It also left Sen. Chuck Schumer as Minority Leader in 2017, not Majority Leader.
The new trigger is included in the group’s draft amnesty for roughly 3 million young illegals, which is wrapped up in a few token offsets. Those offsets include just $1 billion for border security — despite Trump’s request for $25 billion — plus the promise of a GAO study on security, plus the “trigger.”
The swing-voting Senators are being led by Maine Sen. Susan Collin. She’s pushing for more legal immigration even though her home state is losing investment and residents to other warmer states where the annual wave of 1 million legal immigrant workers and consumers mostly choose to live. Only 95 of 690,000 DACA illegals are based in Maine according to 2017 data.
On February 8, Collins told reporters:
There will probably be more than one [bill proposed], but it’s too early to tell right now … There’s still a lot of discussion going on.
Collins has closeted herself with other swinging Senators, such as GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham, Lisa Kurkowski, Jeff Flake, Mike Rounds, Cory Gardner, James Lankford and retiring Jeff Flake.
They are meeting with Democrats who are facing tough election battles this year, including Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, and Bill Nelson from Florida. Those Democrats are reluctant to vote for an amnesty that will be used against them in the November election — especially if the House prevents a political payoff by deep-sixing the amnesty as it did in 2014.
The group describes itself as the “Common Sense Caucus.”
The caucus also includes Sen. Marco Rubio, whose lost his presidential chance in 2016 when he accepted the 2012 invitation to join the Gang of Eight, at the request of Graham and Schumer.
GOP Sen. Thom Tillis, a strong advocate for outsourcing white-collar jobs, told reporters Thursday the group of swing-voting Senators would authorize only $2.5 billion, but would also include a promise to spend another $22.5 billion.
According to the Washington Times, Tillis “said there appears to be consensus on the 1.8 million number, and said they are willing to authorize up to $25 billion for fencing — though they’ll only allocate $2.5 billion to $5 billion in real money.”
Flake is also developing a fallback anesty plan if the first amnesty is rejected.  According to Politico, he “is preparing a fallback measure that would extend Obama-era legal protections for young undocumented immigrants paired with some border security funding if Congress fails to come up with a broader agreement on so-called Dreamers.”
According to Politico, Flake said that multiple Democratic Senators prefer keeping the immigration issue boiling up to election day:
“A lot of Democrats, a lot of the base, from what I hear, is just saying: ‘Forget it. Wait for the midterms,’” Flake said. “It’s not as if we hold all the cards here as Republicans.”
Trump’s 2016 immigration policies are very popular among the public, including among blue-collar African-Americans who are a core element of the Democrats’ current electoral base.
In contrast, business groups, Democrats, and the establishment media tout misleading, industry-funded “Nation of Immigrants” polls which pressure Americans to say they welcome migrants, including the roughly 3 million ‘dreamer’ illegals.
The alternative “priority or fairness” polls — plus the 2016 election — show that voters in the polling booth put a much higher priority on helping their families, neighbors, and fellow nationals get decent jobs in a high-tech, high-immigrationlow-wage economy.

What’s clear is that the producers are leaving the state and the takers are coming in. Many of the takers are illegal aliens, now estimated to number over 2.6 million.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates that California spends $22 billion on government services for illegal aliens, including welfare, education, Medicaid, and criminal justice system costs.

BLOG: MANY DISPUTE CALIFORNIA’S EXPENDITURES FOR THE LA RAZA WELFARE STATE IN MEXIFORNIA JUST AS THEY DISPUTE THE NUMBER OF ILLEGALS. COUNTIES PAY OUT MORE WITH LOS ANGELES COUNTY LEADING AT OVER A BILLION DOLLARS PAID OUT YEARLY TO MEXICO’S ANCHOR BABY BREEDERS. ADD TO THIS THE FREE ENTERPRISE HOSPITAL AND CLINIC COST FOR LA RAZA’S “FREE” MEDICAL WHICH IS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT $1.5 BILLION PER YEAR.

Liberals claim they more than make that up with taxes paid, but that’s simply not true. It’s not even close. FAIR estimates illegal aliens in California contribute only $1.21 billion in tax revenue, which means they cost California $20.6 billion, or at least $1,800 per household.
Nonetheless, open border advocates, such as Facebook Chairman Mark Zuckerberg, claim illegal aliens are a net benefit to California with little evidence to support such an assertion. As the Center for Immigration Studies has documented, the vast majority of illegals are poor, uneducated, and with few skills. How does accepting millions of illegal aliens and then granting them access to dozens of welfare programs benefit California’s economy? If illegal aliens were contributing to the economy in any meaningful way, California, with its 2.6 million illegal aliens, would be booming.
Furthermore, the complexion of illegal aliens has changed with far more on welfare and committing crimes than those who entered the country in the 1980s.
Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens. Granted, those statistics are old, but if you talk to any California law enforcement officer, they will tell you it’s much worse today. The problem is that the Brown administration will not release any statewide data on illegal alien crimes. That would be insensitive. And now that California has declared itself a “sanctuary state,” there is little doubt this sends a message south of the border that will further escalate illegal immigration into the state.
"If the racist "Sensenbrenner Legislation" passes the US Senate, there is no doubt that a massive civil disobedience movement will emerge. Eventually labor union power can merge with the immigrant civil rights and "Immigrant Sanctuary" movements to enable us to either form a new political party or to do heavy duty reforming of the existing Democratic Party. The next and final steps would follow and that is to elect our own governors of all the states within Aztlan."
Indeed, California goes out of its way to attract illegal aliens. The state has even created government programs that cater exclusively to illegal aliens. For example, the State Department of Motor Vehicles has offices that only process driver licenses for illegal aliens. With over a million illegal aliens now driving in California, the state felt compelled to help them avoid the long lines the rest of us must endure at the DMV.
And just recently, the state-funded University of California system announced it will spend $27 million on financial aid for illegal aliens. They’ve even taken out radio spots on stations all along the border, just to make sure other potential illegal border crossers hear about this program. I can’t afford college education for all my four sons, but my taxes will pay for illegals to get a college education.

THE TRUMP AMNESTY TO LEGALIZE MEXICO’S LOOTING AND KEEP WAGES FOR LEGALS DEPRESSED

The draft amnesty will also serve as complete proof in November that Trump’s voters’ wrongly placed their trust in his August 2016 promise to block any amnesty: (SEE LINK).

"But the taxpayers’ costs also act as a $26 billion stimulus for business which will provide the migrants with medical services, apartments, entertainment, food, and transport. The continued inflow of the 4 million chain-migrants, however, is a vastly greater benefit for business and burden for American workers." NEIL MUNRO

But the business community will have little reason to defend Trump, partly because they have gotten their double-shot of tax cuts and cheap labor. In fact, the legislation does not sunset the amnesty, meaning it can be quietly expanded with a few legal tweaks that can be attached to any of the myriad obscure bills annually passed by Congress.

TAKE THE 'RACIST XENOPHOBE' QUIZ: WHO SAID THIS ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION?

An inconvenient trip down Memory Lane.

Which alleged "racist xenophobe" made these statements about illegal immigration?
"Those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law, and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented (and) unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country."

THE OBAMA HISPANICAZATION of AMERICA

How the Democrat party surrendered America to Mexico:

“The watchdogs at Judicial Watch discovered documents that reveal how the Obama administration's close coordination with the Mexican government entices Mexicans to hop over the fence and on to the American dole.”  Washington Times

The cost of the Dream Act is far bigger than the Democrats or their media allies admit. Instead of covering 690,000 younger illegals now enrolled in former President Barack Obama’s 2012 “DACA” amnesty, the Dream Act would legalize at least 3.3 million illegals, according to a pro-immigration group, the Migration Policy Institute.”

Mexican Invasion By Invitation of the Democrat Party
By Tom Barrett
At the current rate of invasion (mostly through Mexico, but also through Canada) the United States will be completely over run with illegal aliens by the year 2025. I’m not talking about legal immigrants who follow US law to become citizens. In less than 20 years, if we do not stop the invasion, ILLEGAL aliens and their offspring will be the dominant population in the United States.
