ARREST OAKLAND MAYOR LIBBY SCHAFF!!! Why do Democrat Party Politicians Think They and Their Illegals Are Above the Law???

Illegal Aliens Convicted of Sex Crimes Among Those Who Evaded Capture After Oakland Mayor’s Warning

The Oakland mayor who warned illegal aliens of potential raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Northern California may have caused some criminal illegal aliens to evade deportation.

ICE officials told Fox News that several of the 800 illegal aliens who evaded capture in Northern California had been convicted of sex crimes, driving under the influence (DUI), and armed robbery.
One illegal alien from Mexico had been convicted of having sexual intercourse with a minor and DUI and had been deported from the U.S. once before in 2003, ICE officials said.
Officials say another who had escaped capture had a sodomy conviction dating back to 2012, and a DUI conviction from this year. That same person — a Mexican citizen — had been deported from the U.S. before in 2013.
A third illegal alien from Mexico who evaded ICE officials had been convicted of armed robbery and had been deported from the U.S. back in 2014 before he once again returned to the U.S. illegally, officials said.
Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan announced Wednesday that a total of 800 illegal aliens avoided capture because of Schaaf’s warning. It is unclear whether there was a clear link between Schaaf’s warning and their disappearance.
Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, a Democrat, warned San Francisco Bay Area residents, including illegal aliens, that ICE would be conducting raids the weekend of February 24.
ICE officials blasted Schaaf after discovering that they could have caught more illegal aliens had she not warned the public.
Homan announced that the Department of Justice is investigating Schaaf for obstruction of justice. Schaaf, however, said she does not “regret” disseminating information about the raids despite knowing she is under federal investigation.

"The report states that in fiscal year 2017, ICE arrested 20,201 aliens in California; 81 percent of them were convicted criminals."

Nation's Sheriffs: 'Dangerous and Reckless' Oakland Mayor Giving 'Criminal Illegals Safe Harbor'

 By Craig Bannister | March 1, 2018

The National Sheriffs' Association Executive Director and CEO Jonathan Thompson says that, by alerting criminals that there would be a law enforcement operation in her area, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf put both citizens and police in danger.
"This is just another example of a California politician playing politics with the safety of the community,” Thompson said Wednesday in a statement condemning Schaaf's “dangerous and reckless” politics, which gave safe harbor to known criminals:
“What the Mayor is doing is dangerous and reckless. By alerting the public of the operation, she gave known criminal illegals safe harbor which ultimately put the people in that area, as well as law enforcement, in danger."
As the Associated Press reports, more than 800 criminals escaped capture because of Mayor Schaaf’s warning:
Thomas Homan, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s acting director, told Fox News that the mayor’s warning on Twitter was “beyond the pale” and compared her to a gang lookout who tells people when a police car is arriving. Homan said the Justice Department is looking into whether Schaaf obstructed justice.
“There’s over 800 significant public safety threat criminals, these are people who are here illegally and committed yet another crime, been convicted of a crime,” he told Fox. “She gave them warning, and there’s 800 that we were unable to locate because of that warning, so that community’s a lot less safe than it would have been.”
The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) is one of the largest associations of law enforcement professionals in the United States, representing more than 3,000 elected sheriffs across the nation, and a total membership of more than 20,000.

SANCTUARY CITY MAYOR PROTECTEDILLEGAL ALIEN MEXICAN RAPIST

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf claims to fight for women. Except when she's fighting for their rapists instead.
A Democratic mayor’s warning to illegal immigrants of an incoming ICE raid in northern California may have led to a number of illegal immigrants with violent and sex-related convictions evading capture and deportation.
Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf tweeted out an impending warning of the four-day raid last week, alerting targeted individuals to the imminent arrests, and infuriating Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, who say that many more could have been caught if they hadn't been warned.
A spokesperson for ICE gave Fox News examples of some of the unsavory characters who evaded officals during the raid.
One Mexican citizen had convictions for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and a conviction for driving under the influence (DUI), and had been deported in 2003.
Another who evaded capture had a conviction for sodomizing a drugged victim in 2012, as well as a DUI from this year -- that Mexican citizen had also been previously deported in 2013.
Another illegal immigrant from Mexico, previously deported in 2014 for a conviction for armed robbery, also evaded capture.
And now they're out there, in Oakland or elsewhere, perhaps in your neighborhood, waiting to strike. This is where the Dem's pro-crime policies intersect neatly with their support for illegal aliens. And the consequences, particularly when it comes to rapists, reveals that their supposed concern with protecting women is a lie. If you want to really fight "rape culture", start with the Dem pro-crime lobby.
Oakland Mayor Invites Panic in Immigrant Communities
Tom Homan's best weapon
By Andrew R. Arthur
CIS Immigration Blog, February 28, 2018
. . .
Giving dangerous criminal aliens "heads up" about impending ICE arrests enables those aliens to at best flee, but at worst prepare to respond with violent force to such arrests.

That said, however, while ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan might have viewed Schaaf's tweet more charitably. Interestingly, KQED reported that Schaaf herself had admitted:

Spreading rumors of ICE activity has been used as a tactic to strike fear and paralysis in the immigrant communities . ... This is something I thought about very carefully before bringing this information forward, but due to the reliability of my sources and the fact that I received this from multiple sources, I felt that it was my duty to share the information.
BLOG: THERE ARE 15 MILLION ILLEGALS IN MEXIFORNIA AND THEY'RE BREEDING ANCHOR BABIES FOR WELFARE LIKE BUNNIES
The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) estimates that "California [is] home to between 2.35 and 2.6 million undocumented immigrants." Alameda County, which includes Oakland, has an estimated 129,500, while the City and County of San Francisco have a combined 35,000, according to PPIC. Adding in Marin's 17,500 illegal aliens, San Mateo's 59,500, Contra Costa's 77,500, and Santa Clara's 183,500, the "Bay Area" population consists of more than a half-million aliens unlawfully present in the United States.

Northern California ICE Operation Nets 150 Aliens in Three Days
By Preston Huennekens
CIS Immigration Blog, March 1, 2018
. . .
Estimates indicate that California has by far the largest number of illegal immigrants of any state. The state has declared itself a sanctuary state in defiance of federal immigration laws. In response, Homan has been forced to focus large-scale operations in California.

In just three days toward the end of February, ICE agents arrested over 150 illegal aliens in a separate operation in Northern California. Half of those arrested had additional criminal convictions on their record, including assaults, crimes against children, DUIs, and weapons charges.

The report states that in fiscal year 2017, ICE arrested 20,201 aliens in California; 81 percent of them were convicted criminals.

ICE: ‘864 Criminal Aliens’ Remain At Large, Partly Thanks To ‘Reckless’ Warning By Oakland’s Mayor

Jazz wrote Monday about Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s decision to warn the public that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would be sweeping the city and making arrests. ICE revealed Tuesday that it had detained 150 people in its latest sweep. But ICE Deputy Director Thomas Homan said another 864 criminal aliens managed to elude the sweep. He added that Schaaf’s warning was probably responsible for helping some of those individuals avoid arrest. From the Mercury News:
“The Oakland mayor’s decision to publicize her suspicions about ICE operations further increased that risk for my officers and alerted criminal aliens — making clear that this reckless decision was based on her political agenda with the very federal laws that ICE is sworn to uphold,” ICE Deputy Director Thomas D. Homan said…
Homan said ICE deportation officers were still able to remove many “public safety threats” from Bay Area streets.
“However, 864 criminal aliens and public safety threats remain at large in the community, and I have to believe that some of them were able to elude us thanks to the mayor’s irresponsible decision,” he said. “Unlike the politicians who attempt to undermine ICE’s critical mission, our officers will continue to fulfill their sworn duty to protect public safety.”…
ICE officials said they made arrests in cities including Sacramento, Stockton, San Francisco and Bay Point, where they detained a Mexican citizen who had been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and had been removed from the U.S. by ICE eight times. About half of those arrested reportedly had criminal convictions in addition to immigration violations.
But Mayor Schaaf isn’t backing down from her sanctuary city policy:

Shocker: Hope Hicks to resign as White House communications director
“I do not regret sharing this information,” she continued. “It is Oakland’s legal right to be a sanctuary city and we have not broken any laws. We believe our community is safer when families stay together. We know that law-abiding residents live in fear of arrest and deportation every day. My priority is for the long-term well-being of Oakland, and I know that our city is safer when we share information that leads to community awareness.”
Last night on Special Report, Claudia Cowan reported ICE is asking the DOJ to look into Mayor Schaaf’s actions to see if they violated the law:

ICE Deputy Director Thomas D. Homan also appeared on Fox News this morning and repeated his criticisms of Mayor Schaaf: “I watched her statement where she says her priority is the safety of her community. Well, what she did had the exact opposite effect,” Homan said.
Acting ICE director Thomas Homan: “Being a law enforcement officer is already dangerous enough, but to give the criminals a heads up that we're coming in the next 24 hours, increases that risk.”

Homan also promised that ICE would not give up on doing its job:
Acting ICE director Thomas Homan: “I’ll say this to the mayor and every other politician that wants to vilify the men and women of ICE: We’re not going away, we’re going to keep enforcing the law.”

The reason ICE is banging on doors and going into neighborhoods to find people is that California has forbidden local law enforcement officers from allowing ICE agents to sit in jails to process paperwork on people it wants to detain as they are released. So instead of processing many people a day in a safe environment, officers now have to go into communities where they may end up encountering other people, especially family members, who are also in the country illegally. The overall effect is to make ICE much more likely to encounter a lot of people who are not involved in criminal activity but who could be subject to deportation.

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf Should Be Prosecuted

Realizing that in the era of crime monitor Jeff Sessions, who plays attorney general on TV, no crime by a public official gets prosecuted for anything, one can only hope that for the safety of the people of Oakland that its mayor, one Libby Schaaf, is arrested and prosecuted for harboring criminal illegal aliens in her city.
Mayor Schaaf recently acted as the functional equivalent of a gang lookout, shouting “ICE!” upon learning of a raid on criminal illegal aliens in her city.
Acting Thomas Homan told Fox News Wednesday morning that the organization will still enforce the law, despite Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s warning of the Northern California ICE operation.
“I’ll say this to the mayor and every other politician that wants to vilify the men and women of ICE: We’re not going away, we’re going to keep enforcing the law,” Homan said.
Schaaf issued an alert last Saturday after she learned of impending immigration raids set to take place Sunday.
“Earlier today, I learned from multiple credible sources that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is preparing to conduct an operation in the Bay Area, including Oakland, starting as soon as within the next 24 hours,” she said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle on Saturday. “As Mayor of Oakland, I am sharing this information publicly not to panic our residents but to protect them.”
Does she means the way Kate Steinle was protected by the sister sanctuary city of San Francisco, gunned down by s criminal illegal alien that has been deported  multiple times? The Justice Department says it is looking into filing charges  of harboring criminal fugitives and obstructing justice against Mayor Schaaf
The White House said Thursday that the Justice Department is looking into whether the Oakland mayor can face federal charges after she warned illegal immigrants of an impending enforcement sweep.
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also called Mayor Libby Schaaf’s warning “outrageous,” as White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly rose to the defense of immigration agents and other Homeland Security employees, saying they are being unfairly tarred.
“You take the face shots every single day from people who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about,” Mr. Kelly said at a 15th anniversary celebration of the Homeland Security Department, which he used to head.
It was the ICE agents conducting the raid who were protecting the citizens of Oakland, not Mayor Schaaf. Rather than a random sweep of convenience stores and the like, immigration enforcement critics charge happens, the ICE raid was targeted and effective:
ICE began arresting people one day after Schaaf’s warning message as part of a “targeted immigration enforcement operations,” according to Fox News. Around half of the illegal immigrants arrested have past criminal history, including assault and weapons charges as well as other violent crimes.
One of the illegal immigrants arrested in the sweep is a well known gang member who has served over 15 years of prison time and has been deported by ICE four times. Armando Nuñez-Salgado, 38, from Mexico, was arrested Sunday.
So explain to us again, Mayor Schaaf, how you are protecting the residents of Oakland by harboring criminal fugitives like Armando Nuñez-Salgado? She should be reminded, as a defendant in a court of law, that the laws of the United States give the President control of immigration policy and the Constitution gives the President, not sanctimonious mayors, control of foreign policy and border security.
Title 8 U.S.C. 1324 makes it quite explicit that harboring and concealing from detection illegal aliens is a felony, whether committed by individuals or sanctuary city officials:
Harboring -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.
Sanctuary city mayors are in clear violation of federal statute so for anyone to argue that withholding federal funds from those violating federal law is unconstitutional is, again, nonsense.
Sanctuary city officials could very well be prosecuted for breaking the law and recklessly endangering their citizens by harboring and shielding from scrutiny illegal aliens among whose number may include assorted Islamic State agents, sympathizers and potential lone wolf recruits, along with assorted criminals, like the one charged with the murder of Kate Steinle in the sanctuary city of San Francisco. They are accomplices in crime.
That is the suggestion of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Jindal made the case on recently on Boston Herald Radio:
“Absolutely, I would hold them as an accomplice. Make them criminally culpable,” the Republican presidential candidate said when asked if he’d arrest mayors of sanctuary cities. “I’d also make them civilly liable so that families, victim’s families, could sue. Especially if the prosecutor isn’t taking action or the mayor’s not changing their ways, I’d allow the families to go to court as well to recover damages.”
Kate Steinle is not an isolated case. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, Jamiel Shaw Sr. testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee  on how his son, Jamiel Shaw, Jr., was killed by an illegal alien in 2008 harbored by the sanctuary city of Los Angeles
Shaw was a Los Angeles high school star dreaming of a good life ahead when he was gunned down on March 2, 2008, while walking home. He was picked at random, police said, possibly as part of a gang loyalty test for the illegal alien who shot him.
Charged with the crime was Pedro Espinoza, who'd been released just hours earlier from Los Angeles County Jail where he spent four months for brandishing a firearm and resisting arrest. Espinoza is an illegal alien.
Shaw Sr. warned of the consequences of sanctuary cities harboring criminal illegal aliens and not deporting them, of not enforcing existing immigration laws, and of open borders:
"My son, Jamiel Shaw II, was murdered while walking on his own street, three houses down from his home. An illegal alien on his first gun charge was visiting a neighbor when my son was coming home," Shaw testified. "He shot my son in the stomach and then in the head, killing him."
Shaw then asked an obvious question: "Do black lives really matter? Or does it matter only if you are shot by a white person or white policeman?"
If any of the felons alerted by Mayor Schaaf harms, rapes, or kills one of her constituents, she should be charged with aiding and abetting. Many commentators, mostly on the left, but including talking heads on Fox News like Juan Williams and Geraldo Rivera, claim that illegal aliens commit crimes at a rate lower than American citizens. That is debatable, but they miss the point entirely which is that the crime rate for illegal aliens should be zero since none of them should be here in the first place. American citizens like Kathryn Steinle and Jamiel Shaw Jr. should be alive today.
The son of Donald Rosenberg would also be alive today if he hadn’t been run into while riding his motorcycle by an illegal alien who had made an illegal left turn in 2010, then ran over him three times as he tried to flee the scene. Rosenberg, who describes himself as a “lifelong, very liberal Democrat” calculated that his son was among 3,000 Americans killed by illegal aliens in car crashes in 2010. In a letter quoted by the Washington Times that he wrote to President Obama, Rosenberg said:
“My son and all of the others are considered collateral damage in the quest for votes and campaign contributions,” he wrote. “Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime.”
Indeed, it is not, and the question asked by many families like, the Shaws, the Steinle’s and the Rosenbergs is -- wasn’t America supposed to be our sanctuary?

The Heartbreaking Tale Of

A Gang Member Being

Deported

President Trump’s threat to pull ICE and the Border Patrol out of California hasn’t been enacted (yet) so immigration enforcement activities are still taking place. Following the big sweep in the Los Angeles area, individual investigations are still being handled and CBS San Francisco brings us another of the heartbreaking tales of a family being separated by the evil forces of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
This is a particularly curious bit of coverage given how these stories normally go, and we’ll get to why that is in a moment. It starts out as so many of these tales do, with a crying child – the daughter of one Armando Nunez Salgado of Napa – watching as federal agents come charging into the family’s backyard and apprehend her dad while he’s peacefully working in his garden.
ICE agents took Armando Nunez Salgado into custody outside his home. According to family members, he was in the backyard when agents walked right in through the side gate. His 14-year-old daughter Isabel Salgado dissolved into tears.
“I cried. I got very emotional, I was really sad,” said Isabel. “I mean to watch someone who is part of your everyday life and then you just have to watch him leave without saying goodbye. It kind of hurts.”
Armando is a construction worker who has been in America more than 30 years. His wife Elena Ponce said his parents brought him to the U.S. when he was only four years old.
Thus far it’s fairly typical of such coverage. You’ve got the wife and the teenage daughter, distressed and in tears over the unfairness of it all. He volunteered to help fight the wildfires plaguing the area last year. On top of that, Armando was brought here when he was only four years old. Shouldn’t this guy have been in the DACA program? Why wasn’t he a “Dreamer” by now? In any event, he’s clearly one of the good guys. The wife concludes by saying, ” So the fact that they took someone off like that. I don’t see the sense in it all. He wasn’t a danger to the community in any way.”
Normally this is the point where I’d start doing some Google searches to see if there’s something else in this guy’s history which might attract the attention of ICE. It’s not that they can’t deport him simply for being here illegally, but if that’s the entire story they probably wouldn’t make this guy a priority bust. But this is where the CBS article takes a sharp turn and saves us any further searching. It turns out that Armando isn’t quite the non-threat that’s being described. (Emphasis added)
But it turns out, Armando does have a dangerous past. After our interview, his family members told KPIX 5 he was involved in gangs and drugs for a long time.
In fact, at one point, he was on ICE’s most wanted list for charges of felony force and assault with a deadly weapon.
Now things become a bit more clear. He’s only had a few years “clean” according to his family, but before that, he was enough of a bad guy to make the most wanted list as a gang member, drug dealer and violent felon. And the most wanted list era was a few years ago since he’s gone to ground since then.
Once again, using this as a pitch to make Trump out as the bad guy falls flat because he was a high-profile ICE target being actively sought during the Obama administration. It just so happens that it took until now for federal agents to track him down and take him in. But if all you did was read the first five or six paragraphs of the national news coverage you’d only know that the federal agents had dragged the poor fellow out of his garden, leaving his sobbing wife and young daughter in their wake. In fact, the actual title of the article reads, “Family Heartbroken After Napa Man Arrested By ICE Agents.”
The reality? A known, dangerous gang member with a violent past was located and taken into custody for processing and (most likely) deportation. You might not want to shed too many tears over this one, kids.
UPDATE: (Jazz) Received this information directly from ICE:
“On Sunday, Feb. 25, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) San Francisco Fugitive Operations Team arrested ICE fugitive Armando Nuñez-Salgado, 38, a citizen of Mexico and documented Sureño gang member, who has been previously removed by ICE on four prior occasions. Over the past 18 years he has accumulated criminal convictions in California that have resulted in more than 15 years of prison sentencings. His criminal convictions include assault with a deadly weapon (statutorily enhanced because of his gang member status), burglary, hit-and-run causing injury and evading a peace officer.”
This guy had been deported FOUR TIMES and has done 15 years behind bars. He wasn’t exactly the teddy bear the media makes him out to be.
Mexicans are the most violent and racist culture in the western hemisphere.

Mexican gangs now commit half the murders in La Raza-occupied CA and 93% of all murders in Los Angeles, Mexico’s second largest city.

Mexican Gangs "Ethnic Cleansing" Blacks In L.A.

Latino thugs indiscriminately murder blacks regardless of gang membership, genocidal purge aligns with radical Aztlan theology.

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
Monday, January 22, 2007

Racist Mexican gangs are indiscriminately targeting blacks who aren't even involved in gang culture, as part of an orchestrated ethnic cleansing program that is forcing black people to flee Los Angeles. The culprit of the carnage is the radical Neo-Nazi liberation theology known as La Raza, which calls for the extermination of all races in America besides Latinos, and is being bankrolled by some of the biggest Globalists in the U.S.A story carried on the liberal website Alternet, charts an explosion in brutal murders of blacks by Hispanic street gangs in L.A. Far from being gang on gang violence, the Latinos are targeting innocent blacks in accordance with a concerted ethnic cleansing campaign that seeks to eradicate all blacks from Hispanic neighborhoods.
In one instance, 21-year-old Anthony Prudhomme was shot in the face with a .25-caliber semi-automatic while lying on a futon inside his apartment, slain by a Latino gang known as the Avenues as part of a racist terror campaign in which gang members earn "stripes" for each black person they kill.
In one typical case," writes journalist Brentin Mock, "Three members of the Pomona 12 attacked an African-American teenager, Kareem Williams, in his front yard in 2002. When his uncle, Roy Williams, ran to help his nephew, gang member Richard Diaz told him, "Niggers have no business living in Pomona because this is 12th Street territory." According to witnesses, Diaz then told the other gang members, "Pull out the gun! Shoot the niggers! Shoot the niggers!"
The fatwah against blacks began in the mid-

nineties, with a 1995 LAPD report concluding

that Latinos had vowed to "Eradicate black

citizens from the gang neighborhood." In a

follow up report on the situation in east Los

Angeles, the LAPD warned that "Local gangs

will attack any black person that comes into

the city."

The author notes that since 1990 the African-American population of Los Angeles has halved, partly as a result of rampant illegal immigration and that there are noticeably fewer blacks walking the streets because many have been forced to relocate in fear of the racist gangs.

"The LAPD estimates there are now 22,000 Latino gang members in the city of Los Angeles alone. That's not only more than all the Crips and the Bloods; it's more than all black, Asian, and white gang members combined. Almost all of those Latino gang members in L.A. -- let alone those in other California cities -- are loyal to the Mexican Mafia. Most have been thoroughly indoctrinated with the Mexican Mafia's violent racism during stints in prison, where most gangs are racially based," writes Mock.

Mock blames the "Mexican Mafia" for ordering the campaign of ethnic cleansing from prison, as part of a turf war with the Black Guerilla family, another prison gang, but fails to pinpoint the racist creed from which the Mexican kingpins draw their inspiration - the long standing Aztlan invasion agenda.
Aztlan's goal, known as La reconquista, is to cede and take over the entirety of the southern andwestern states by any means necessary and impose a Communist militant dictatorship. President

HE IS CONSIDERED HIGHLY RACIST AND A MEX SUPREMACIST. HE PLANS TO RUN FOR GOV OF MEX INFESTED MEXIFORNIA, AND WILL BE ELECTED BY THE VOTES OF ILLEGALS!!!)

Despite the fact that the majority of documented hispanics oppose illegal immigration, as do the majority of Americans, Aztlan and La Raza race hate groups have become the self-appointed voice for a separatist movement that threatens a violent overthrow of the Constitutional system and a barbaric program of ethnic cleansing. This is held up by the media as 'diversity' and to vociferously oppose it is scorned as racism.Aztlan and Mecha groups advocate killing all whites and blacks and driving them out of the southern states by means of brutal ethnic cleansing. Flags and placards carried at marches depict white people having their heads cut off, as seen in the picture below.

Those that protest such groups are then attacked by the establishment media and labeled as racists, despite the fact that the Plan of San Diego, a rallying cry for the hispanic Klan groups, advocates total eradication of any race but hispanics.

Mecha's own slogan reads, "For the race everything. For those outside the race, nothing."
TV stations owned by rich white industrialists erect giant billboards in Los Angeles claiming the city belongs to Mexico, as seen below.

Mainstream hispanics who love America abhor the virulent racism that the Mexican klan groups embrace.

And who bankrolls these pocket radicals? Billionaire tax-exempt foundations and NGO's owned by white men. Organizations like the Ford Foundation, groups who are zealous in their quest to eliminate the middle class and destroy America, turning it into a cashless society, compact city, surveillance control grid where only two tiers of society exist - the elite and the poor slaves.

During the May immigration protests, The Aztlanwebsite carried the following statement.

"If the racist "Sensenbrenner Legislation" passes the US Senate, there is no doubt that a massive civil disobedience movement will emerge. Eventually labor union power can merge with the immigrant civil rights and "Immigrant Sanctuary" movements to enable us to either form a new political party or to do heavy duty reforming of the existing Democratic Party. The next and final steps would follow and that is to elect our own governors of all the states within Aztlan."

Here is the open call for violent separatism and the overthrow of existing state government structures.

During the immigration demonstrations, which were orchestrated by Rob Allyn of Rob Allyn & Co. who is closely tied with George W. Bush, alarming reports of illegals carrying out violent beatings began to surface. In Santa Ana California, illegal aliens swarmed around in mobs invading schools, carrying out violent beatings and in one incident a county worker had a Mexican flag plunged into his chest.
The violent protests that began on May 1 last year were characterized by throngs marching under Mexican flags, many of which were illegal aliens, as a "day without gringos."

Imagine what the reaction would be if white middle class Americans marched in their millions and called the event "a day without blacks."

The media continues to run defense for a violent militant movement that seeks nothing less than the eradication of blacks and whites through ethnic cleansing and the takeover of the southern and western states. This is a separatist junta that has over 30,000 ruthless gang members at its disposal once the call for mobilization is heard, along with millions of illegal aliens pouring across the border.

ZOGBY POLL
“In Mexico, a recent Zogby poll declared that the vast majority of Mexican citizens hate Americans. [22.2] Mexico is a country saturated with racism, yet in denial, having never endured the social development of a Civil Rights movement like in the US--Blacks are harshly treated while foreign Whites are often seen as the enemy. [22.3] In fact, racism as workplace discrimination can be seen across the US anywhere the illegal alien Latino works--the vast majority of the workforce is usually strictly Latino, excluding Blacks, Whites, Asians, and others.”

“Brown then let her true MSM colors show with a softball question to Murguia implying that opposition to illegal immigration is veiled racism: "What are the racial undertones to this debate for many people? Is that something that worries you?" Murguia was only too happy to be worried, alleging that there are "racial undertones, anti-ethnic overtones." That's when Dobbs got off perhaps his best line of the morning. "The National Council of La Raza is talking about race? La Raza - what does that mean? It means 'the race'!"

GRAPHIC — Two Cartel Gunmen Killed in Grenade Attack Against Mexican Cops

Police officers fighting off a grenade attack managed to kill two cartel gunmen in the Mexican coastal state of Veracruz. The area continues to be one of the most violent as rival criminal organizations fight for control of shipping ports.

The ambush took place in Rio Blanco when state police officers spotted a group of suspicious men began throwing grenades at them and shooting.
The police officers fought off the attack, killing two of the gunmen and injuring a third who managed to escape. Authorities were able to seize various weapons and a small sedan.
State investigators have not released which cartel the gunmen belong to.
Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by Tony Aranda from Nuevo León.

You will hear a lot about these Mexicans in 2018

Over the next few months, the Mexican presidential campaign will hit the front pages.  The vote is in early July.
So let me introduce you to some of the names and the one issue that the winner will face.  The three major players are:
- José Antonio Meade-Kuribrena of the PRI.  This is the party that governed Mexico for over 70 years and the political home of incumbent President Enrique Peña-Nieto.  They are often known as the "partido oficial," or a cynical reference to their control of the bureaucracy.  They're the Mexican version of the "Deep State" party.
- Ricardo Anaya-Cortés of the PAN.  This is a conservative party very popular in the north of Mexico.  A friend of mine calls them "los republicanos mexicanos," a reference to their ideological similarity to the GOP.  They are often accused of being too close to the Catholic Church and of promoting states' rights.
- Andrés Manuel López-Obrador of the left-of-center MORENA.
This election, as my friend Allan Wall explained, is unusual because of political coalitions that have brought parties from different corners to support the PAN and MORENA.
One of these three men will be next president of Mexico.
At the moment, López-Obrador is leading in some polls, in large part because he's been around for a long time.  He was mayor of Mexico City and a candidate in 2006 and 2012 (Consulta Mitofsky poll, AMLO 27.1%, Anaya 22.3%, and Meade 18.0%).
At the moment, it's too early to tell, but I'd keep an eye on Mr. Meade, because he will have the PRI's electoral machinery on his side.
Meade and Anaya would be fairly conventional presidents.  López-Obrador promotes himself as the man who will stand up to Trump, but we're not sure what that really means.  López-Obrador was always opposed to NAFTA, whereas Meade and Anaya support it.
No matter who wins, he will inherit a violent nation, as my friend Patrick Corcoran wrote:
After a three-year rise in murders, 2017 was the most violent year in Mexico's recent history.
The more than 29,000 murders registered by the National Public Security System represented a 27 percent jump from 2016, and a nearly 60 percent increase since 2014.
As is usually the case, organized crime was the chief driver of this wave of bloodshed.
Every conversation I have with Mexican friends or visitors confirms that "inseguridad" or insecurity is issue number one.

Hispanic judge Trump once disparaged as 'Mexican' rules in favor of border wall construction

by  | Feb 27, 2018 U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel on Tuesday rejected arguments by the state of California and advocacy groups that the Trump administration overreached by waiving laws requiring environmental and other reviews before construction on a southern border wall could begin. (AP Photo/Elliott Spagat, File)

The federal judge whom President Trump once disparaged as “Mexican” ruled in favor of his administration’s efforts to build the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in San Diego on Tuesday sided with the Homeland Security Department, which leaned on waivers granted by Congress in 1996 and 2005 to bypass state and federal environmental statutes for construction along 14 miles of the border.
In his ruling, Curiel quoted U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts in his handling of cases “surrounded by political disagreement.”

“In its review of this case, the Court cannot and does not consider whether underlying decisions to construct the border barriers are politically wise or prudent,” Curiel wrote.
Now, the Trump administration can continue waiving environmental regulations to build the border wall.
Plaintiffs in the case included the Center for Biological Diversity, the California Coastal Commission, and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra.
"We will evaluate all of our options and are prepared to do what is necessary to protect our people, our values, and our economy from federal overreach. A medieval wall along the U.S.-Mexico border simply does not belong in the 21st century,” Becerra said in a statement in response to the ruling.
The Justice Department praised the ruling.
“Border security is paramount to stemming the flow of illegal immigration that contributes to rising violent crime and to the drug crisis, and undermines national security,” said department spokesman Devin O’Malley. “Congress gave authority to the Department of Homeland Security to construct a border wall without delay to prevent illegal entry into the United States, and we are pleased DHS can continue this important work vital to our nation’s interests.”
Curiel presided over a class-action lawsuit against the now-defunct Trump University. During the 2016 campaign, Trump attacked Curiel, calling him a “Mexican” — Curiel was born in Indiana, but his parents are Mexican immigrants — who said he was a “hater.”
“Look, he’s proud of his heritage, okay? I’m building a wall,” Trump said of Curiel in June 2016 to CNN's Jake Tapper. “He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico.”

MS-13 Resurgence Linked to UAC Arrivals and
Lack of Interior Enforcement
Interactive map shows MS-13 violence in 22 states

Washington, D.C. (February 21, 2018) – A new report by the Center for Immigration Studies examines over 500 MS-13 criminal arrests, 207 of which were for murder. The gang's resurgence is directly connected to two factors: the resettlement of more than 300,000 Central American youths and families that started up in 2012, and the de-prioritization of interior immigration enforcement that occurred around the same time. In addition, our analysis shows that many of the hot beds of MS-13 activity are also places where local officials have adopted sanctuary policies.
The more than 500 MS-13 arrests were spread across 22 states, but they were concentrated in the areas where many UACs were resettled by the federal government. This influx provided MS-13 with a new pool of tens of thousands of mostly male teenagers from which to recruit new members. According to local gang investigators, these gangs have been known to recruit recently arrived Central American children as young as 10 years old.

Jessica Vaughan, the Center's director of policy studies, said, "Failed immigration policies are partly responsible for the rebound of MS-13, and immigration enforcement will have to be a key part of the strategy to combat them. Because so many of the MS-13 members are here illegally, they are more vulnerable to these tactics. If state and local law enforcement agencies are not allowed to cooperate fully with ICE, then they are missing out on an opportunity to put a dent in this gang's strength. In addition, Congress must act to fix our laws to give DHS more flexibility in dealing both with the influx of minors and families and with the sanctuaries."

The report provides recommendations, most found in the Secure America's Future Act (H.R.4760, commonly known as the Goodlatte bill), for Congress to combat the MS-13 resurgence.

View the report and map at: https://cis.org/Report/MS13-Resurgence-Immigration-Enforcement-Needed-Take-Back-Our-Streets

Key findings:
  • We found 506 MS-13 members arrested for or charged with crimes that were reported in 22 states. The largest number of cases were reported in California (92 cases), Maryland (84 cases), New York (80 cases), and Virginia (63 cases).
  • MS-13 crimes are not primarily petty nuisance crimes. 207 MS-13 members were charged with murder. In addition we found more than 100 accused of conspiracy/racketeering, and dozens of other arrests for drug trafficking, sex trafficking, attempted murder, sexual assaults, and extortion.
  • While most of the reports of MS-13 suspects in our case set did not include information on the immigration status of the individual, we could determine that 126 of the 506 suspects (and 38 of the 207 murder suspects) were illegal aliens.
  • The median age of MS-13 gang members identified was 23, and suspects ranged in age from 14 to 57.
  • The median age of their victims was 19, and ranged in age from 14 to 74. Sixty of the victims were under the age of 18, including 52 of the murder victims.
  • We could determine that 120 of the 506 MS-13 arrests in our case set arrived as UACs, including 48 of the murder suspects.
  • The location of these MS-13 crimes corresponds with locations of large numbers of UACs who were resettled by the federal government.

ICE nabs 195 criminal illegal immigrants

during workplace inspections in Los Angeles

by   In this 2017 photo released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, foreign nationals are arrested during a targeted enforcement operation conducted by ICE aimed at immigration fugitives, re-entrants, and at-large criminal aliens in Los Angeles. This week, ICE deportation officers and special agents took a total of 212 people into custody during 122 notices of inspection to businesses throughout the southern California region. (Charles Reed/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement via AP)

Federal immigration agents arrested 195 criminals living in the U.S. illegally during a five-day worksite enforcement operation around Los Angeles Sunday through Thursday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation officers and special agents took a total of 212 people into custody during 122 notices of inspection to businesses throughout the southern California region.
ICE said 195 of the arrestees were convicted criminals, had been issued a final order of removal and failed to leave the country, or had been previously removed from the U.S. and returned illegally.
About 100 in that group have been previously convicted of violent offenses, including child sex crimes, weapons violations, and assault, as well as serious misdemeanor offenses.
ICE Director Thomas Homan defended the agency's detainment of 27 noncriminal illegal immigrants and said those people were not the target of their enforcement operations. Due to Los Angeles' sanctuary city policies, which bar federal officers from picking up individuals at the jail, ICE is forced to find them at their home or workplace or find them in other ways.
"Because sanctuary jurisdictions like Los Angeles prevent ICE from arresting criminal aliens in the secure confines of a jail, our officers are forced to conduct at-large arrests in the community, putting officers, the general public, and the aliens at greater risk and increasing the incidents of collateral arrests," Homan said in a statement. "Fewer jail arrests mean more arrests on the street, and that also requires more resources, which is why we are forced to send additional resources to those areas to meet operational needs and officer safety."
The interior enforcement agency conducted 1,360 of these I-9 audits in fiscal year 2017, and carried out notices of inspection at 77 northern California businesses in January and February.
Notices of inspection informs businesses that ICE will audit their hiring records to verify employees' hiring eligibility. Businesses receive three days to produce papers confirming its employees' eligibility to work, and if they do not, immigration agents will conduct an inspection for compliance.
"Critics argue that giving amnesty to 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S. would have an immediate negative impact on America’s working and middle class — specifically black Americans and the white working class — who would be in direct competition for blue-collar jobs with the largely low-skilled illegal alien population." JOHN BINDER

"Additionally, under current legal immigration laws, if given amnesty, the illegal alien population would be allowed to bring an unlimited number of their foreign relatives to the U.S. This population could boost already high legal immigration levels to an unprecedented high. An amnesty for illegal aliens would also likely triple the number of border-crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border." JOHN BINDER

VIDEO: ‘F*ck All of You!’ California Open Borders Activists Surround DHS Agents

A group of open borders activists blocked and surrounded federal immigration officials in downtown Los Angeles, California on Thursday, preventing the agents from accessing a nearby detention center.

Coordinated by a slew of open borders groups, about 50 illegal immigrant activists stopped a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) van of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents while they were on their way to a detention center.
The open borders activists shouted, “Stop the deportations!” and other pro-illegal immigration chants, as captured by Los Angeles Times reporter Marcus Yam.
“Hey hey! Ho ho! Deportations have got to go!” the activists can be heard shouting at ICE agents. Another open borders activists shouted at Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers, saying “F*ck all you n*ggas!”

Organizers with the open borders groups told the Times that the blocking of the DHS van was to protest the “machinery of deportation.”
“The original goal was to really loudly proclaim that we’re not going to stand for ICE destroying families … on Valentine’s Day of all days,” said Rabbi Aryeh Cohen, who is on the board of an organizing group.
“When the ICE/DHS van came, our group of people decided it was time to put their bodies in front of the machinery of deportation,” he said.
The “open borders” lobby has become increasingly outraged at the lack of immediate amnesty for the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens living across the United States.
Last month, for example, a group of activists with the George Soros-funded group “United We Dream” held a mock funeral where they blasted President Trump and conservatives for “killing our dreams” by not immediately giving them amnesty, as Breitbart Newsreported.
Critics argue that giving amnesty to 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S. would have an immediate negative impact on America’s working and middle class — pecifically black Americans and the white working class — who would be in direct competition for blue-collar jobs with the largely low-skilled illegal alien population.
Additionally, under current legal immigration laws, if given amnesty, the illegal alien population would be allowed to bring an unlimited number of their foreign relatives to the U.S. This population could boost already high legal immigration levels to an unprecedented high. An amnesty for illegal aliens would also likely triple the number of border-crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.

E-Verify Ignored in DACA Negotiations Because ‘Members

Members of Congress broadly oppose a legislative nationwide E-Verify mandate for employers because “they know it will work,” said NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks, explaining why E-Verify is not being pushed in congressional negotiations for an amnesty deal for recipients of the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Jenks further noted that both parties are beholden to special interests supportive of “mass migration.”

HAVE YOU EVER EVEN ONCE HEARD THESE AMNESTY POLS HOWLING AMNESTY! AMNESTY! AMNESTY.... TALK ABOUT THE CRIME THESE THUGS INFLICT?

CAN WE GET A TOWN HALL FOR THEVICTIMS OF MS-13'S 207 MURDERS?

February 22, 2018

The unimpeachable moral authority of murdered teenagers somehow doesn't extend to MS-13's murder spree.
As MSNBC's Joy Reid sneered after President Trump's State of the Union address, “He gives a speech tonight, in which he makes it sound like the biggest issue in the United States, the biggest threat is MS-13, a gang nobody that doesn't watch Fox News has ever heard of. So he makes it sound like they're the biggest threat.”
No one hears about it because the media maintains an embargo on the story. (Yes, we don't have a free press. We have fake news narrative operations controlled by a handful of major corporations.)
207 MS-13 members were charged with murder. In addition we found more than 100 accused of conspiracy/racketeering, and dozens of others for drug trafficking, sex trafficking, attempted murder, sexual assaults, and extortion.
While most of the reports of MS-13 suspects in our case set did not include information on the immigration status of the individual, we could determine that 126 of the 506 suspects (and 38 of the 207 murder suspects) were illegal aliens.
The median age of MS-13 gang members identified was 23, and suspects ranged in age from 14 to 57.
The median age of their victims was 19, and victims ranged in age from 14 to 74. Sixty of the victims were under the age of 18, including 52 of the murder victims.
120 of the 506 MS-13 suspects in our case set arrived as UACs (Unaccompanied Alien Children), including 48 of the murder suspects.
The location of these MS-13 crimes corresponds with locations of large numbers of UACs who were resettled by the federal government.
Just dreamers with a dream of beheading, torturing and mutilating teenagers. The media can't be bothered to talk about their victims because it's politically inconvenient. Many of the perps are illegal aliens or undocumented beheaders. The victims aren't people they could envision as their kids. And reporting on MS-13's crimes endangers their push for illegal alien amnesty. It also shines a harsh light on the policies of Obama Inc.
But while CNN won't have that town hall, conservatives should. Imagine President Trump hearing more from the Latino parents of MS-13 victims. The media would have to grit its teeth and cover the story.

Trump demands border wall to block vicious MS-13 gang 'killers' who flow back into the U.S. 'like water' despite deportations

  • President Donald Trump said Friday that MS-13 gang members are re-entering the United States as fast as the government deports them
  • 'El Salvador just takes our money, and Mexico must help MORE with this problem. We need The Wall!' he tweeted
  • MS-13 is a gang with tens of thousands of members in the U.S., whose motto is 'Kill, rape, control'
  • Trump said earlier this month that the only way to defeat MS-13 is to change America's 'sad, weak and pathetic' immigration laws
President Donald Trump renewed his war of words against the Salvadoran gang MS-13 on Friday, saying his long-promised southern border wall would stem the tide of murderers and drug dealers streaming into the U.S.

Trump's harsh rhetoric comes as the government's Citizenship and Immigration Services agency has quietly changed its mission statement to remove a reference to the U.S. as a 'nation of immigrants.'
That surprising move was first reported by The Intercept
He said earlier this month in a video message that the only way to defeat MS-13 is to change America's 'sad, weak and pathetic' immigration laws.
In a nearly three minute video posted to Twitter, Trump outlined his plan on combating the gang, which has tens of thousands of members in at least 40 states and is responsible for a steady drumbeat of gruesome deaths in the U.S.
MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, was started in Los Angeles during the 1980s by Central American immigrants, mainly those from El Salvador. The gang later expanded to include Mexicans, Hondurans and other Central and South Americans.
According to the FBI, its motto is 'Kill, rape, control.' The gang's members engage in a wide range of criminal activity including murder, rape, prostitution, robbery, home invasions and kidnapping.

Two weeks ago Trump tied MS-13's rise to his demands for a major immigration policy overhaul.
'My Administration has identified three major priorities for creating a safe, modern and lawful immigration system: fully securing the border, ending chain migration, and canceling the visa lottery,' he said.
Trump said 'loopholes' in the immigration system has allowed for 'criminals and gang members to break into' the country because the laws are 'so weak, so sad and so pathetic.'
He said MS-13 and 'many other gangs' take advantage of those loopholes to not only enter the United States but find new recruits.
'The laws are bad and they have to be changed,' Trump declared.
MS-13 was designated as a 'priority' last year by the Department of Justice's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said prosecutors are able to pursue any legal avenue to target the gang.

DOJ: Mexican National Allegedly Led ‘Significant Drug-Trafficking Organization’ in U.S.

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Justice Department says that a Mexican national allegedly led what it calls a “significant drug trafficking organization” inside the United States.
In an indictment filed last July, according to Justice, the 34-year-old Mexican national, Jose Raul Mendivil-Berrelleza, was charged in New Mexico along with seven others for trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.
“The indictment was the result of a multi-agency investigation into a significant drug trafficking organization allegedly led by Jose Raul Mendivil-Berrelleza, 34, a Mexican national who resided in Hobbs, [N.M.] that allegedly imported methamphetamine and cocaine into Lea County from Mexico through Arizona,” the department said in a statement released yesterday.
“The 20-count indictment charged alleged ringleader Mendivil-Berrelleza and seven co-defendants with conspiracy, methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking, and money laundering offenses,” said the Justice Department.
“Count 1 of the indictment charged all eight defendants with participating in a conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and cocaine in Lea County and elsewhere between Nov. 2016 and July 2017,” the department said. “Count 2 charged Mendivil-Berrelleza and Roberto Rendon-Duran, 70, of Yuma, Ariz., with participating in an international money-laundering conspiracy.  Counts 3 through 5 charged certain defendants with methamphetamine trafficking offenses and Count 6 charges certain defendants with a cocaine trafficking offense.  Counts 7 through 20 charged certain defendants with using communications devices to facilitate their drug trafficking activity.”
One of the defendants in the case, Jeremy W. Gough, was sentenced on Tuesday to 120 months in prison.
“On Dec. 13, 2017, Gough pled guilty to conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute,” said the Department of Justice. “ In entering the guilty plea, Gough admitted that from Nov. 2016 through June 2017, he conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in Hobbs by having methamphetamine delivered to Gough’s residence from his source of supply, which Gough would then deliver to other individuals in Hobbs through the use of couriers.”

Hobbs Man Sentenced to Ten Years for Federal Methamphetamine Trafficking Conviction
ALBUQUERQUE – Jeremy W. Gough, 41, of Hobbs, N.M., was sentenced today in federal court in Las Cruces, N.M., to 120 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for his methamphetamine trafficking conviction.
Gough and seven other residents of Lea County, N.M., including four Mexican nationals, and a resident of Yuma, Ariz., were charged in a 20-count indictment filed in July 2017, alleging federal drug trafficking and money laundering offenses.  The indictment was the result of a multi-agency investigation into a significant drug trafficking organization allegedly led by Jose Raul Mendivil-Berrelleza, 34, a Mexican national who resided in Hobbs, that allegedly imported methamphetamine and cocaine into Lea County from Mexico through Arizona.
The  investigation, which was led by the DEA and included HSI and the Lea County Drug Task Force of HIDTA Region 6, was designated as part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) program, a Department of Justice program that combines the resources and unique expertise of federal agencies, along with their local counterparts, in a coordinated effort to disrupt and dismantle major drug trafficking organizations.  During the course of the investigation, law enforcement authorities seized approximately 13 kilograms (28.6 pounds) of pure methamphetamine and 1.45 kilograms (3.2 pounds) of cocaine, a firearm and $19,000 in cash.
The 20-count indictment charged alleged ringleader Mendivil-Berrelleza and seven co-defendants with conspiracy, methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking, and money laundering offenses.  Count 1 of the indictment charged all eight defendants with participating in a conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and cocaine in Lea County and elsewhere between Nov. 2016 and July 2017.  Count 2 charged Mendivil-Berrelleza and Roberto Rendon-Duran, 70, of Yuma, Ariz., with participating in an international money-laundering conspiracy.  Counts 3 through 5 charged certain defendants with methamphetamine trafficking offenses and Count 6 charges certain defendants with a cocaine trafficking offense.  Counts 7 through 20 charged certain defendants with using communications devices to facilitate their drug trafficking activity.
On Dec. 13, 2017, Gough pled guilty to conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.  In entering the guilty plea, Gough admitted that from Nov. 2016 through June 2017, he conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in Hobbs by having methamphetamine delivered to Gough’s residence from his source of supply, which Gough would then deliver to other individuals in Hobbs through the use of couriers.  Gough further admitted that on Nov. 5, 2016, he possessed approximately 152 grams of methamphetamine which he intended to sell to other individuals in Hobbs.
Four of Gough’s co-defendants have previously entered guilty pleas and are pending sentencing hearings.  Two co-defendants have entered pleas of not guilty and are pending trial.  Miguel Angel Luna-Arredondo has yet to be arrested and is considered a fugitive.  Charges in indictments and criminal complaints are only accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
This case was investigated by the DEA and HSI offices in Las Cruces and the Lea County Drug Task Force with assistance from the Lea County Sheriff’s Office and the Hobbs Police Department.  Assistant U.S. Attorneys Terri J. Abernathy and Dustin Segovia of the U.S. Attorney’s Las Cruces Branch Office are prosecuting the case.
The Lea County Drug Task Force is comprised of officers from the Lea County Sheriff’s Office, Hobbs Police Department, Lovington Police Department, Eunice Police Department the Tatum Police Department and the Jal Police Department, and is part of the NM HIDTA Region VI Drug Task Force.  The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program was created by Congress with the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988.  HIDTA is a program of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) which provides assistance to federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies operating in areas determined to be critical drug-trafficking regions of the United States and seeks to reduce drug trafficking and production by facilitating coordinated law enforcement activities and information sharing.

Mexican Army Arrives in Tijuana to Quell Cartel Violence

A total of 400 elements of the Mexican Army were dispatched to Tijuana to help crack down on the ongoing cartel violence that plagues the once-popular tourist destination.

Gabriel García Rincón, Commander of the II Military Region, stated that 400 arrived in Tijuana, Baja California, to support the local authorities responsible for security and the fight against organized crime which has been deemed responsible for the record-breaking violence. This announcement was made during a Day of the Army celebration according to local media outlets. Reports from social media indicate that military patrols have begun in the most affected areas where local law enforcement has been overwhelmed and are unable to stop daily killings between rival cartels. Helicopter surveillance patrols from the Baja California Attorney General’s office (PGR) have also been provided.
Commander Gabriel García Rincón stated during a press conference, “Our troops are working day and night to prevent drugs from reaching our children and our youth.” According to government sources, the Mexican Army will be working jointly with municipal and state police with the goal of bringing a halt to the violence that has terrorized this border city.
Francisco Rueda Gómez, the Secretary-General of Governance for the State of Baja California, emphasized the security arrangement will also include elements of the State Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and the Federal Police.
The mayor of Tijuana, Juan Manuel Gastélum Buenrostro, said during a recent press conference that they are having extreme difficulty in police recruiting for qualified candidates able to pass the required background checks. He mentioned that he was going to speak with the Secretary-General of Governance for the state to find a solution for the problem. Gastélum Buenrostro indicated that he was not going to ask for lower security standards but instead change the physical requirements which have eliminated numerous qualified candidates otherwise. The background check challenge has spread nationally.
Breitbart Texas has reported extensively about the ongoing cartel violence affecting the city. In 2017, Tijuana registered 1,734–smashing the 2016 record of 910. The murder rate continues to climb as rival drug cartels battle over control of key trafficking routes and street-level distribution, according to local media reports. The escalation can be attributed to the hostilities between the Sinaloa Cartel and their one-time ally, Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).
