California: A ‘Sanctuary’ for Criminals

The state threw out the rule of law, but Orange County will join the resistance.

By Michelle Park Steel

The Wall Street Journal, April 3, 2018

I was born in South Korea and raised in Japan. My family moved to the U.S. when I was a teenager and worked through the legal immigration process. It was difficult and time-consuming, but we achieved our version of the American Dream—like the millions who came before us. Today this system is being threatened as California moves closer to becoming a sanctuary state, with local law enforcement under order to disregard federal law and protect illegal aliens. That’s why, as a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, I...

EXCLUSIVE — Rep. Steve King: Send National Guard ‘to California to Secure the Streets’

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) joined SiriusXM host Rebecca Mansour

and guest host Frances Martel for a Friday interview on Breitbart News Tonight during which he called for the deployment of the National Guard to “sanctuary cities” in California to combat immigration-related “lawlessness.”

King began by expressing support for President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard to parts of the southern border. “I am absolutely in favor of deploying the national guard down to the border,” he said. “I don’t know that there’s another alternative that matches up to that as far as the effectiveness is concerned.”
LISTEN:
King described an incoming caravan of more than 1,500 migrant families from Central America seeking entry to the U.S. as an “invading army.”
“We’re in a situation where you have an invading army — mostly unarmed — but an invading army of 1,500 that starts off 1,500 miles away,” said King. “It says, ‘We are marching to America. We’re going to sneak into the country. We’re going to storm her borders, and once we set foot on U.S. soil, they have to treat us as asylees.’ And they’ve all been trained to say all the right words: ‘I fear going back to my home country because I have a credible fear that I’ll be killed if I go back home.’”
Trump and the GOP missed an opportunity to begin construction of the wall via March’s omnibus spending bill negotiations. “As far as the wall, I don’t know how we get that leverage right now, not until coming to the fall when we need to get new appropriation bills with leverage,” King remarked.
“I think the president should’ve used more leverage to get a wall built. I think he backed away from that a little too soon, and I continue to believe the president received a mandate to build a wall, not just a few miles of it, but 2,000 miles of it if he so chose. He also has a mandate to end sanctuary cities, Kate’s Law, Sarah’s Law, the Davis Oliver Act, which honored the lives of the two sheriff’s deputies that were killed by the murderer who laughed at his sentencing and his conviction and now has been sentenced to death in California.”
Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) shared discontent with the most recent omnibus bill along the same lines as King’s.
King said Democrats view illegal aliens as part of their political support base. “Democrats are looking at the illegal aliens coming into America as undocumented Democrats,” he said. “As long as there’s a political benefit for them, be counting those folks on their side of the ledger, we’re going to have them pushing back in a place where we can’t get this legislation through the Senate.”
King warned that California’s defiance of federal immigration law via “sanctuary” laws is sowing seeds of “civil conflict.”
King stated, “Also, we get to the question of the census, and the very idea that we can’t ask people, ‘Are you a citizen of the United States?’ without being sued by Xavier Becerra and Jerry Brown out of California and others, I mean, America has digressed so far away from the clarity of the Constitution being the supreme law of the land. When the federal government has legislation passed that is within the boundaries of the Constitution, that becomes a supreme statute of the land.”
“We’re being pushed back on by states that defy federal law, so the path towards a civil conflict is being drawn now by states like California,” King added. “We have to be bold and strong. I would send the National Guard to the border. I’d send them to California to secure the streets of those cities so that we didn’t have the lawlessness of the sanctuaries that they have created out in California.”

Illegal Aliens Climb Border Wall into U.S. to Taunt Trump

Four illegal aliens climbed the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border between Ciudad Juarez in Mexico and Sunland Park, New Mexico, Friday to taunt President Trump’s tough-on-immigration stance.

The Daily Mail reported that one migrant, with the help of three other men, leaped over the border wall and ran into U.S. territory in less than two minutes.
“He couldn’t get over! He was taking forever,” one of the men who helped the migrant told AFP, adding that he has seen others climb the 20-foot wall in one minute.
The Mexican man then ran off towards a group of houses before U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers could spot him.
The actions of these illegal aliens come after Trump directed the Defense Department to send thousands of troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to ramp up border security.
Trump signed a proclamation Wednesday directing Defense Secretary James Mattis to “request use of National Guard personnel to assist” with the Department of Homeland Security’s existing efforts to secure the border.
The president’s tough-on-immigration policy has prompted the organizers of a caravan of more than 1,500 Central American migrants traveling through Mexico toward the U.S. border to request refugee status from the U.S. to call off their group expedition.

Ciudad Juárez (Mexico) (AFP) - President Donald Trump's orders to deploy thousands of National Guard troops to secure the US frontier with Mexico did not stop one determined migrant from hopping the border wall on Friday.
With the help of three other men -- two to give him a boost and one to stand as a lookout -- the young man jumped the rusty metal barrier that separates Ciudad Juarez from Sunland Park, New Mexico.
The whole operation took less than two minutes.
"He couldn't get over! He was taking forever," said one of the men who helped him, telling AFP he has seen people scale the six-meter (20-foot) wall in one minute flat.
He then ran off to avoid being spotted by US Customs and Border Protection.
The young border jumper, who hailed from southern Mexico, meanwhile disappeared into the desert, running toward a group of houses just visible on the horizon.
Trump has unleashed a flurry of furious tweets ever since seeing news reports on a caravan of more than 1,000 Central American migrants crossing Mexico toward the United States.
On Thursday he ordered 2,000 to 4,000 National Guardsmen to the border -- drawing a bitter reaction from Mexico.
The activists organizing the migrant caravan have announced they will no longer try to reach the border en masse, and individual migrants and families have each begun going their own way.
Many remain in central Mexico. But some have already made it to the border, according to Javier Calvillo, a Catholic priest who runs a shelter for migrants in Ciudad Juarez.
"Five migrants who were part of the caravan arrived here this week, but they're already gone," he said.
"They crossed into the United States, or tried to."

Trump deploying token border force to fool core supporters

When President Trump said he was deploying the military to our southern border, I thought, "Finally!"  Congress has blocked Trump's attempts to build a border wall and hire more border guards, but President Trump has found a unilateral action he can take to finally secure the border!
If only.
It turns out that President Trump is talking about deploying only between 2,000 and 4,000 National Guardsmen to the border.  That's a tiny token force.  How do we know this?
Consider that there are about 18,000 Border Patrol agents at our southern border.  In light of that, an increase of only about 3,000 is tiny.
Furthermore, it's been tried before.
Past presidents, including George W. Bush and even Barack Obama, have sent guardsmen to the border.  In "Operation Jump Start," President Bush sent 6,000 troops to the border – twice as many as our great presidente is proposing right now!
But even Bush's 6,000 troops were unable to secure the border:
The Administration calls their deployment a success, citing a 24% reduction in illegal entrant arrests during the course of the mission.  But what does that 24% reduction really say?  Of course no one knows for sure, but up to a million illegal aliens are estimated to infiltrate the U.S. each year across the southern border.  So with 6,000 Guardsmen in place, only 760,000 illegal aliens successfully infiltrated the United States.
Let's review. We deployed the National Guard to secure the southern border against illegal entry.  As many as three-quarters of a million unidentified foreign nationals – five times our military deployment in Iraq – got through anyway.
That's not a success.  That's a colossal failure, unless you count photo ops of the National Guard on the border as the real mission.
So Bush's 6,000 troops couldn't secure the border; but Trump expects to the same with half that number.
Why doesn't Trump draw on the necessary numbers to secure the border?  The troops are there to be drawn on; the president is not limited to calling up troops from border states to guard the southern border.  And President Trump certainly has the power to call up 36,000 national guardsmen.
But for some reason, President Trump is calling up a fraction of the number President Bush called up.
The only explanation I can think of is that Trump is not serious about securing the border and is taking this action to shore up his political standing with his core supporters.
President Trump is embarrassed that conservative supporters like Anne Coulter have called him out for signing a spending bill that, although funding abortion, Obamacare, and other Democratic priorities, offered him only 33 miles of new fencing, no border wall money, and virtually no money for additional border guards.
This gesture is meant to placate President Trump's supporters, who will see the headlines showing that President Trump is sending the military to the border but won't be curious enough to find out exactly how many soldiers he is sending.
For me, this is the final proof I need to be convinced that President Trump is not serious about dealing with illegal immigration or securing our southern border.
o The president agreed to end DACA but called on Congress to reinstate it legislatively.
o The president called for amnesty for at least 1.8 million illegal aliens, putting him to the left of Barack Obama.
o The Obama-era holdover running ICE is arresting illegals at a somewhat faster pace but also conducting "show raids" where businesses are warned in advance and arrests are few to none.
o The president signed legislation outlawing his border wall and providing money for only 33 miles of fencing for a 2,000-mile border.
And by the way, these guardsmen Trump is calling up?  They will be totally unarmed and unable to detain a single illegal without the help of the border patrol.  If drug-smugglers fire at them, they will be helpless to defend themselves.  Good thinking, President Trump!
Actions have consequences.  So do elections.  Republicans will be demoralized from turning out for the 2018 elections because Congress hasn't moved to secure our borders and the president hasn't fought for it (remember the veto, anyone?).  President Trump is positioning himself to be a one-term president by his failure to act in any significant way to secure the border or deal with illegal immigration.

50,308 Stopped at Mexican Border Last Month, Up 203% From March '17

By Susan Jones | April 5, 2018 | 7:48 AM EDT

(Photo: CBP Website)
(CNSNews.com) - More than fifty thousand people -- 50,308 -- were either apprehended or deemed inadmissible at the Southwest border last month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said on Wednesday. It's the highest monthly total of the Trump presidency.
The 50,308 apprehended/inadmissibles in March is a 37 percent increase from the 36,695 counted in February, but a whopping 203 percent increase from March 2017's 16,588.
CBP said the number of family units increased by 49 percent from February to March, and the number of unaccompanied children increased by 41 percent compared to February.
"The traffickers and smugglers know that, if you arrive with a family, under our current legal and court system, you have a much better chance of being released into the United States," Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told the White House press briefing on Wednesday. "We have seen the smugglers advertise this as an enticement. And we have seen traffickers, unfortunately, fraudulently use children to gain entry into our country."
In a conference call with reporters on Wednesday, a senior administration official, speaking on background, noted that in April 2017, the number of apprehended/inadmissibles dropped to a historic low of 15,766.
"We are no longer at that point," the official said. "The numbers we'll be releasing for March...will indicate a staggering increase from last year. And they clearly emphasize the need for additional actions."
According to CBP, last month, 37,393 individuals were apprehended between ports of entry on the Southwest border, compared with 26,662 in February and 25,978 in Janury.
Another 12,915 people were deemed inadmissible at ports of entry on the Southwest border last month, compared with 10,021 in February, and 9,839 in January.
Looking at annual totals, CBP said in Fiscal Year 2017, USBP apprehended 303,916 individuals along the Southwest Border, compared with 408,870 in FY16; 331,333 in FY15; and 479,371 in FY14.
In FY 2017, 111,275 individuals were deemed inadmissible compared to 150,825 in FY16; 114,486 in FY15; and 90,601 in FY14.
President Trump on Wednesday authorized the deployment of National Guard troops to the Southwest border to support the Border Patrol in halting illegal immigration.
"Given the importance of secure borders to our national security, the National Guard, in coordination with governors, will remain in a support role until Congress takes the action necessary to close the loopholes undermining our border security efforts, including ending the practice of Catch and Release," the announcement said.
The Trump White House noted that President Barack Obama sent National Guard trooops to the border in 2012, and President George W. Bush did so as well during his term.
The announcement said Trump is taking action "because congressional Democrats have obstructed efforts to secure our border."

Roy Beck: Future Border-Crossers ‘Being Advised by American Lawyers’ in Mexico How to ‘Game’ U.S. Asylum System

http://www.breitbart.com/radio/2018/04/05/beck-future-border-crossers-being-advised-american-lawyers-mexico-how-game-u-s-asylum-system/

Roy Beck, president of NumbersUSA, discussed immigration during an interview Wednesday on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with co-hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak and described a 1,500-person caravan from Central America seeking entry to the U.S. as composed of “economic migrants.” He rejected characterizations of the caravaneers as refugees.

Rather than refugees, Beck said that “these people are … economic migrants.” He added, “They’re marching and chanting slogans about them being international workers who have a right to go wherever they work; borders should not be able to stop international workers from getting a job. Their rhetoric is not asylum rhetoric. Their rhetoric is economic migrant rhetoric.”
LISTEN:
Beck stated that foreigners are exploiting U.S. federal law to enter the homeland with the assistance of certain American lawyers. “They all know, just go to the port of entry, and say some magic words. We’ve heard some reports that these groups are being advised by American lawyers down in Mexico. They’re having seminars, telling them what to say when they get in, in order to game the system.”
Beck noted Congress’s unwillingness to pass legislation supporting Trump’s agenda on immigration and border security. He said, “Lots of talk and no action. There’s not been enough action to back up the president’s promises. This is basically not his fault. It’s Congress [which] has not acted to show the world that we actually mean to enforce our laws and protect our borders.”
Beck described popular political discourse hyping amnesty as a magnet for foreigners aspiring to illegally emigrate to America, saying, “So you can just imagine that before the election, we had a year or two with this build-up, that this DACA amnesty was inevitable. You’ve had most of the Republican voices pretty much saying the same things, and the Democrats have made it their top issue for so long. So this word goes out, and they’re going, ‘Man, there’s a welcome mat here.’”
Widespread support on Capitol Hill for amnesty sends a “signal” to foreigners that illegal immigration will be accepted, remarked Beck.
Beck warned that political rhetoric is an insufficient deterrent to illegal immigration over time. He reflected, “When the 1986 amnesty was passed, there was a big compromise. The deal was that this would be the last amnesty because they were going to make it illegal for companies to hire illegal workers. They thought it would take away the magnet, and illegal immigration stopped. That word went out, and then for a couple of years, illegal immigration really plummeted, but then after a couple of years, the word got out, ‘Hey, they’re still hiring. There’s no teeth in this.’ Chuck Schumer made sure he wrote the law so it wouldn’t have teeth.”
“The same thing happened here,” Beck continued. “We saw a real drop in illegal immigration last year because people heard this rhetoric from President Trump … but then they see all this talk about amnesties They also see that every effort to change some laws to increase enforcement, the Democrats have blocked, and some Republicans have worked along with it. Just think what that says to people. It says, ‘Listen, America’s still open for business for illegal immigrants.'”
Beck pointed to a legal “loophole” within federal immigration.
Beck said Democrats are “absolutely opposed to closing that loophole.”
Beck highlighted economic damage wrought by illegal immigration, saying, “Illegal immigration balloons the labor-force size, and the laws of supply and demand cannot be repealed by Congress. … If you have an excess workforce, then the price of labor goes down. All the studies, even the studies by very pro-immigration expansion think tanks will acknowledge that immigration — both legal and illegal — will hurt people at the bottom of the ladder.”
Beck added that illegal immigration increases unemployment among American citizens. He explained, “There are 50 million working-age Americans who do not have a job. Most of them are not in the workforce at all; hence, they’re not counted in the unemployment rates. We have just a huge number of Americans, and it’s particularly troubling in terms of the millennials, who are basically being buried into lives of dependency, on government, charity, and family, rather than the dignity of work and taking care of yourself. … For every hundred of these caravan people that come in and take a job, there’s going to be something approaching a hundred Americans who are going to stay out of the workforce and being dependent.”
Illegal immigration, Beck continued, lowers wages for many laborious lines of work. “It also continues to collapse occupations,” he explained. “Whole occupations have collapsed, a lot of it because of illegal immigration — for instance, roofing, meatpacking, drywalling. There are just so many of these occupations that used to pay middle class wages. They no longer do because of the availability of this illegal foreign labor.”
Beck called on House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to pass legislation to close a “loophole” restricting the federal government’s ability to easily repatriate foreigners from states other than Canada or Mexico. He said, “Speaker Ryan and Senate Majority Leader McConnell, I believe, should just bring a simple bill that closes that loophole. That’s the only thing it does — just that one bill to close the loophole. Force everybody to vote, and have people up or down on whether they want to encourage these caravans and these surges. I think that’s what they ought to do on one thing after another. There’s an election coming up, and people can decide whether they want to vote for the candidates … who want to keep the border open, or are they going to back law and order? I think Congress has been way too timid. The Republican leaders there seem scared to death to ever bring a vote on something that will fail.”
Beck advised Trump and the administration to push for mandatory E-Verify use by employers, saying, “I have to blame the president and the Trump administration for one big gap in what they’ve done, and that is there’s been almost nothing said about mandatory E-Verify from this administration. I’m so appreciative of this administration having the four pillars that include ending chain migration and the visa lottery. There’s really never been any pushing on cutting off the jobs magnet.” He praised the Securing America’s Future (SAF) Act, a proposed bill including a national mandate for E-Verify use by employers.
Beck said halting illegal immigration cannot be done without an E-Verify mandate. “You can put the national guard on the border, you can do all kinds of things, you can have a fantastic wall or fence, but until you cut off the jobs magnet — and I think mandatory E-Verify is the primary way to do it. I think it’ll do most of the work. You’re going to have an amount of illegal immigration,” he said. “The word has gone out to Central America and countries all over the world that if you can get through Mexico and get across that border, you will get a job because the employers are hiring, and there’s very little being done to stop those employers.”
Beck proposed using military resources to assist in the construction of fencing and walls along the southern border. He said, “All these engineering units in order to train — they need to build things. So instead of building things on military bases that they then tear down after they’ve built them, for the experience, they might as well be building this multi-layer fencing or wall or whatever is the right thing to build at any point. Those exercises [and] materials are already being paid for. So there does seem to be some real room. … There’s money in the system and training in the system, it seems to me, that we could put our military to work.”
Beck framed Republicans political fortunes as being tied to their action — or inaction — on combating illegal immigration and securing the U.S.-Mexico border. He remarked, “For Republicans who have been on the pro-enforcement side, they have control of the Senate largely because of running on this very issue about protecting the borders back in 2014 — and they have not shown much initiative, at all. They constantly hide behind, ‘Well, the Democrats stop us.’ … If Republicans do nothing on immigration, I think that they’re guaranteeing that they’re going to lose control. What they need to do if they want to keep control is show to the people that put them in office that they’ll do all they can, and I don’t think they’re showing that.”

EXCLUSIVE: 'We'll see you soon Mr President!' Immigrants on the sprawling human caravan taunt Trump and reveal that despite the 'tough Mexican immigration laws' he touted they have passes to travel with NO restrictions as they move toward the U.S.

  • Hundreds of immigrants from Central America are in a 'caravan' through Mexico which Trump had claimed was 'broken up' thanks to 'the strong immigration laws of Mexico'

  • But DailyMail.com reveals how the marchers are being issued passes which give them as long as 30 days to stay in Mexico and tell them to report to immigration centers which dot the U.S. border

  • Members of the caravan are also being moved in a fleet of buses north to the outskirts of Mexico City for a rally where they will be given tips on how to apply for asylum in the U.S.

  • Trump is activating the National Guard claiming that the border is in crisis and that Mexico has the power to stop the 'caravans'

  • Immigrants on the caravan tell DailyMail.com they will make it to the U.S. border and get across

  • Most are from Honduras, where a contentious election has been followed by an upsurge in violence and others said they were fleeing MS-13's reign of violence
Defiant Central American migrants from the sprawling human 'caravan' snaking north through Mexico taunted President Trump and vowed to continue their push towards the US - declaring: 'We'll see you soon Mr President.'
And they told DailyMail.com about the reality of what Trump called 'the strong immigration laws of Mexico' revealing that in fact they were being given 20 or even 30-day passes to travel freely and told to report to immigration centers, which dot the U.S. border.
Far from being 'broken up' as Trump claimed on Thursday morning, the caravan was being helped on its way to Mexico City with coaches which arrived not long after he tweeted.
And while Mexican officials had encouraged it to disperse, they did so by giving permits to stay in the country without asking a single question about gangs and crimes.

Organizers, Pueblo Sin Fronteras - People Without Borders - say they will only go as far as Mexico City where the 'lucha' movement - Spanish for fight - will disband rather than march to the border.
But many of the 1,000 or so migrants, the majority fleeing gang-plagued Honduras, told DailyMail.com they faced persecution or death if they returned to their homeland, and would press ahead to the U.S. regardless.
'It's his country, Senor Trump can do what he wants to. He can put as much military on the border as he likes,' said Jose Acosta, a 35-year-old farmer escaping violence in the Honduran city of Morazán.
'But when it comes to it, I will cross the border. I can assure you that I'm going to get into the US, I have faith in God.'
His determination was echoed by Salvadoran national Marvin Geovanni Alvarez, 39, who lived illegally in Atlanta, Georgia, for a year before he was deported in 2013, wrenching him away from his wife Daisy, 36, and sons, Marvin, 20, and 18-year Gerardo.
'Trump is crazy. He's racist. The National Guard doesn't worry me, it's all bulls***,' he told DailyMail.com.
'I'll be reunited with my family. See you soon Mr President.'
Alvarez's harrowing back story is typical of many of the hundreds of disheveled migrants sheltering in dilapidated locker rooms or laying under trees or tarps inside the blisteringly hot Victor F. Flores Morales Sports Center in the rural town of Matias Romero.
He was targeted by MS-13 gangsters after returning to El Salvador, stabbed three times - once in the head - and warned he would be murdered if he didn't join up.
'If they see me again they kill me. The gangs are even here in Mexico. So tomorrow I go to the United States, nobody is going to stop me,' he vowed.

The 'Refugee Caravan 2018' set out en masse from the southern Mexican border city of Tapachula on March 25, the majority travelling on foot with a few smaller groups hitchhiking, hopping on buses or clinging to the roofs of trains.
Similar caravans have crossed Mexico for the past several years but organizers say political unrest in the wake of a contentious November election in neighboring Honduras has swelled numbers from several hundred to more than a thousand.
Even so, the event passed largely unnoticed until Trump, apparently responding to a news segment on Fox News, denounced the migrants as dangerous and implored Congress to toughen immigration laws before they swamped the U.S.
He also warned the Mexican government he would cut off trade talks if they didn't halt the caravan, which even if it reached the border, would make up just a small proportion of the roughly 30,000 people caught trying to sneak across every month.
The migrants had traipsed unimpeded past Mexican police checkpoints and military bases until reaching Matias Romero at the weekend, where organizers herded them towards the largely dilapidated public sports complex that has been their bustling, sunbaked HQ since the weekend.
Since then, the bedraggled travelers have bedded down in crowded corridors, under bleachers or beneath tarps draped over swings, using a putrid-smelling stream for a toilet and surviving on donations of food, water and clothing from local townspeople.
With barely any police on hand and just a handful of official organizers, 15 or so migrants have donned neon vests and are charged with keeping order across the bustling camp, which spans several soccer fields, a swimming pool and a baseball field.
Mexican immigration officials have visited each day inviting migrants to apply for transit permits granting them up to 30 days to officially apply for asylum.

The move was hailed by Trump in two different tweets as evidence that he had forced the Mexicans to use their 'strong' immigration laws against the caravan.
But migrants told DailyMail.com it was surprisingly easy to secure temporary permits allowing them to stay in the country for a 30-day window.
The documents say they have to make an appointment to the 'closest' immigration center to their place of residence but do no list any restrictions on travel or forbid them from heading towards the US.
The maximum window people are being granted to temporarily stay is 30 days.
But many migrants deemed low priority or those with errors or gaps in their ID papers, have been given an alternative document simply giving them 20 days to remain in the territory of Mexico without granting them an interview.
However there is nothing stopping them from applying again when they have the correct papers.
'I'm giving birth in ten days but they rejected me because of a discrepancy,' said Honduran migrant Elsy Mejia, 25, who is traveling with her husband Jose Lanza, 21, and four year old daughter, Shesia.
'But all I need is 20 days. Like a lot of people here I just need enough time to make it to the US border. 'I hope to God the Americans won't turn back a heavily pregnant woman.'
An official with Mexico’s Instituto Nacional de Migración said roughly 600 permits were rubber stamped at the camp, with slightly more of the 20 day variety issued to migrants.
The official, speaking on condition on anonymity, said many of those requesting paperwork were probably just happy to have a legal window to reach the US border.
Those asking for 30 days and formal interviews were more likely wanting to stay permanently in Mexico.

Salvadoran national William Castillo, 42, waited 20 minutes to speak with agents from Mexico's Instituto Nacional de Migración who came to the camp Wednesday.
They checked his passport and asked a handful of questions before issuing the single page documents to him, his wife Anna Maria Hernandez, 30, and their eight-year-old son, Christian Daniel.
'They asked basic information, where we are from, where we plan to stay. They didn't ask any questions about gangs or crimes,' he told DailyMail.com.
'We had no idea what to expect but it was not a tough process to get the documents. Nothing has been easy in this journey but this was surprisingly smooth.
'This isn't a pass to let us stay forever, this is to make a meeting. We have 30 days. If we don't, they deport us.'
There are Instituto Nacional de Migración centers in most major Mexican cities and 21 stationed along the US-Mexican border.
Castillo says he plans to apply for asylum in Mexico rather than attempt to cross to the US but he added: 'They didn't say anything about where I could or couldn't go.'
As Trump tweeted on Thursday morning that the caravan was 'largely broken up', part of it was being helped to move north far more rapidly.
A fleet of buses arrived at the sports complex offering migrants wanting to travel to Puebla a 400 Mexican pesos ($22) ride.
There were no police or immigration officials present.
Puebla, just south of Mexico City, is where activists will hold a rally Friday and provide free access to immigration lawyers to help them apply for asylum in either Mexico or the US.
The caravan will then officially disband although Irineo Mujica Arzate, the group's Mexico coordinator, predicted around 20 percent of the migrants could push on unsupervised.
He told DailyMail.com the caravan was organized each year to highlight the plight of desperate Central American immigrants - not to storm the US border - and laughed off the idea they were a threat to the American people.

'That is ridiculous. It's worthy of a movie. Only a fraction of those people will actually make it across the border. It's highly militarized as it is,' said Mujica Arzate. '
As usual Donald trump plays the politics of fear - the 'brownies' are coming to get us. 'We have 400 women and 300 kids here. They may throw a ball or point a toy gun at someone, that's about as dangerous as it gets. These people are fleeing the same gangs that Trump is worried about.'
Among those waiting anxiously for the caravan to move is Alfredo Munoz, 22, who is yet to secure temporary paperwork for his wife Carolina, 21, son Edhen, two, and four-year-old daughter, Daily.
He says he's desperate to reach the US but knows his family will make easy pickings for cartel robbers and kidnappers unless they travel with others for security.
As Munoz talks he pulls back his little girl's mousy brown hair to reveal a bullet wound at the base of her skull. She has a corresponding exit wound on her left cheek, a chilling reminder of when masked gangsters sprayed bullets at his front door in Colon, Honduras.
'The gangsters want to own everyone but I said no. They beat me up, they threatened my wife,' he told DailyMail.com.
'They came at night and fired 25 times into the house. They hit my daughter in the back of the head but somehow she survived.
'We've been travelling now for ten to eleven days, walking four hours a day. It was a hard decision because I knew my family would suffer. Someone robbed our bag of medicine.
'There's no way we can stay in Mexico though, the gangs can still get us here. We have to carry on until we reach the US - the alternative is death.'
Fleeing similar violence is Shannel Smith, a trans woman who decided to leave the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, after she was shot three times in the street.
A 26-year-old teacher, she entered Mexico legally but joined the caravan because it meant she could travel north in safety and gain access to lawyers.

'Gangs target the trans community to move their drugs because they are particularly vulnerable. If you say no this is what happens,' she tells DailyMail.com, revealing a 12 inch scar across her stomach and a similarly shocking wound along her left forearm.

'I don't know if it was the police or the gangs - they are as bad as each other. They never caught them, they did nothing. That's when I knew I had to leave.'
Despite Trump's repeated warnings about unchecked immigration, data issued by US Customs and Border Protection reveals that the number of migrants caught trying to cross the border fell to a low of 15,700 in April.
The figure was as high under as 42,400 in January 2017 under the Obama administration.
Despite the huge influx of migrants into their town, the people of Matias Romero - population 38,000 - appear to have rallied around them, with locals donating water, rice, beans and old clothes.
'We are not a charity, we are not a church. We just live here and we want to help,' said Daniella Tolento, 24, as she served steaming bowls of salchicha and rice from the back of a gray pickup truck.
She and ten members of her family spent hours cooking up the spicy sausage and potato stew to feed the hungry newcomers.
'Does this look like an army? I don't think so. They are very welcome here. They have done nothing wrong. It's stupidity.'
Without similar acts of kindness from complete strangers, 21-year-old Delmi Castro, a slender mother of two from Colon, Honduras, says she would never have had the fortitude to travel 260 miles, or an estimated 86 hours, on foot.
She managed it despite having to carry her two kids, eight-month-old Brian Michael and Jose Manuel, three, as well as a couple of bags of their belongings.
'My partner is in jail and I'm trying to get to my sister in the United States. It's been extremely hard, I'm alone, my feet ache, my kids have fevers. But in the cities we passed through the people had big hearts and they gave us food,' she said.
'We are not happy, we are suffering so much. But I'll do anything to give my children, God permitting, a better life.'

7 Times Mexico Used Military to Fight Cartels on Border

Mexican military forces repeatedly engage violent drug cartels operating south of the Texas border with Mexico, often uncovering large stockpiles of combat-grade weapons and explosives.
Following are examples of military engagements and weapons caches seized by Mexico’s armed forces operations near the Texas border.
A series of raids conducted by soldiers in the Mexican Army in February 2018 led to the discovery of several weapons caches buried in the border state of Tamaulipas, south of McAllen, Texas. Soldiers made the discovery of military grade Claymore landmines, a grenade launcher, two Barrett .50 caliber rifles, 17 AK-47s, ballistic plates, ammunition, and magazines buried in the countryside.
Breitbart Texas’ Editor-in-Chief Brandon Darby and reporter Ildefonso Ortiz reported this was an early discovery of the military-style landmines. The find followed months of violent Gulf Cartel operations in the region.
Members of the Mexican Army’s 8th Military Region seized an arsenal of military-grade weapons immediately south of the Texas border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on July 11, 2017, Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles reported. The weapons consisted of Russian-manufactured RPGs, .50 caliber rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. The soldiers found the cache inside a home controlled by Los Zetas.
“According to the Mexican army, they seized a Russian-made RPG, five grenade launchers, three .50 caliber Barrett rifles, two G3 H&K rifles, 91 other rifles including AR-15s and AK-47s, and 13 .40mm grenades,” the article states.
Soldiers in the Mexican army engaged members of the Gulf Cartel near the town of Rio Bravo, Mexico, located just south of Donna, Texas.
A video taken in August 2017 by a citizen journalist captured the skirmish.
The soldiers can be seen taking cover as they come under machine gun fire. Cartel Chronicles reported these types of battles between the military and cartels occur on a near-daily basis. In this incident, one civilian was injured and one was arrested.
In this February 2017 video, Mexican Marines used a minigun mounted on a helicopter to engage cartel members in Reynosa, Mexico. Reynosa is located just south of the U.S.-Mexico Border near Mission, Texas. The minigun fires at a rate of nearly 100 rounds per second.
The attack by the Mexican Marines on Gulf Cartel members occurred in support of a raid being carried out in the city. A citizen journalist captured the sounds of the fierce gun battle.
Mexican cartel members struck back against the Mexican Army near San Fernando, Mexico, Cartel Chronicles reported. In two battles that occurred in as many days, Mexican soldiers found themselves outgunned. The result–three soldiers were killed with seven others wounded.
Soldiers managed to kill three of the cartel members as well. The military came under fire when they responded to a call for assistance from PEMEX, the state-owned oil company. Cartel members were in the process of stealing fuel at the time.
Following one of the shootouts, authorities seized a .50 caliber rifle, grenades, a machine gun, and tactical vests.
Following a November 2016 gun battle with Gulf Cartel members near Miguel Aleman, Mexico, soldiers rushed to help rescue the gunmen firing on them only moments before. In a video leaked to a Chronicles citizen journalist, soldiers can be seen pulling the gunmen from a wrecked vehicle. The SUV rolled over during the battle, trapping the gunman inside.
Once freed, the soldiers provided emergency medical assistance.
Mexican military personnel seized an armored vehicle and other military-grade weapons following an engagement with Gulf Cartel gunmen in the town of Miguel Aleman, just south of the Texas border near McAllen in March 2015.
During a chase, cartel members lost control of the makeshift armored vehicle and crashed. The gunmen escaped, but Mexican military authorities seized the cache of weapons that included a grenade launcher, three grenades, six assault rifles, 1,400 rounds of ammunition, and 101 magazines loaded with ammunition, Ortiz reported.
Other seizures of weapons caches took place that year.

In a recent essay, the Bipartisan Policy Center’s immigration expert bemoaned a lack of data concerning “immigrant criminality.”
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) can help her out.
The agency’s latest report shows 245,000 criminal aliens were booked into Texas jails from 2011 through February 2018.
The aliens, two-thirds of whom were in the country illegally, were charged with more than 650,000 criminal offenses. They have been convicted of almost 600 murders, 30,000 assaults, 3,300 sexual assaults, 9,000 burglaries, 20,000 thefts, 38,000 drug crimes and 274 kidnappings.
These are conservative figures because they included only alien arrests reported to DPS by Texas police agencies. Additionally, arrestees not “biometrically verified” by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security were excluded from the data set.
Theresa Cardinal Brown, the Bipartisan Policy Center expert, apparently missed or ignored these Texas-sized statistics. Her pedigree as an immigration attorney and former director of border policy at the open-borders U.S. Chamber of Commerce may explain her myopia.
But facts are facts. The scale and frequency of serious crimes committed by illegal aliens in Texas are genuinely alarming.
Immigration enthusiasts, conflating legal and illegal immigrants, broadly claim that “immigrants” commit far fewer crimes than native-born Americans. The DPS numbers show that legal immigrants do tend to be more law-abiding.
Not so for illegals.
Take murder, for example. While constituting an estimated 6.4 percent of Texas’s population, illegal aliens accounted for 5.4 percent of state homicide convictions. Sexual assault convictions were also on par with native-born residents. Kidnapping, gambling, smuggling and vagrancy numbers were much higher for illegals than for U.S. citizens.
These crimes – along with the human toll and expense involved in arrests, trials, “free” legal aid and incarceration – were 100 percent due to the presence of illegal aliens in Texas.
Ms. Brown says she wants to know the extent of criminal activity by illegal aliens nationally (don’t we all?) and she awaits the day when government agencies report data transparently and comprehensively. Such statistics – properly disaggregated for legal immigrants and illegal aliens – can then be compared with native-born offenders.
Even in Texas, where sanctuary-style policies persist in cities and on college campuses in defiance of the state’s anti-sanctuary law (Senate Bill 4), the full extent of immigrant crime is not fully known.
If Ms. Brown truly wants to calibrate criminal acts by migrants, she can start by taking off the “bipartisan” blinders and taking a hard look at Texas. She should be appalled.

LA RAZA HEROIN CARTELS CUT HEART OUT OF LIVING MAN AND BEHEAD HIS PARTNER!

MEXICANS ARE THE MOST VIOLENT CULTURE IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE!

"A group of cartel gunmen fighting for control of a Mexican coastal state cut out the heart of one of their living victims while another was beheaded. The violence took place not far from the beach resort cities of Acapulco and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero."
GRAPHIC — Mexican Cartel Dumps Bodies near Texas Border

RIO BRAVO, Tamaulipas — Cartel gunmen continue their gruesome executions in this border area as part of a territorial war. In one of the most recent cases, they dumped the bodies of two tortured victims and set a vehicle on fire to attract attention to threatening narco-messages left behind.
The execution took place in Rio Bravo before Mexican authorities responded to a highway overpass where a white Volkswagen Jetta was on fire. When emergency crews responded, they found the bodies of two men and a poster-board with a cartel message.
The two male victims were described as having a slim build, showing obvious signs of torture, and apparent gunshot wounds to their faces.
The two victims are part of the ongoing wave of violence that continues to take hold of the border cities of Rio Bravo and Reynosa. As Breitbart Texas reported, the bloodshed is tied to an ongoing war for control of the region between two rival factions of the Gulf Cartel. The escalating violence is leading to daily shootouts in Reynosa where cartel gunmen recently performed ambush attacks on Mexican state police officers deployed for Holy Week and Easter.
Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by “J.A. Espinoza” and A.C. Del Angel” from Tamaulipas.

Cartel Violence Continues in Cancun — 98 Killings in First Three Months of 2018

Cartel violence in Cancun continues in 2018 with 98 homicides registered in the first three months of the year.
With the new wave of murders and attacks over the Easter weekend, Cancun closed the first three months with 10 more executions, according to El Diario de Yucatán.
The violence gripping the once peaceful beach resort city also spread to Playa del Carmen to a lesser extent, which also reported three killings over the holiday weekend.
According to local media reports, five people were executed and two others shot on Good Friday in Cancun.
Authorities reported the discovery bodies dumped on the sides of roads at two separate locations in addition to the grisly finding of three bags containing the remains of two murder victims. Later in the afternoon, two brothers were found executed after police responded to reports of shots fired. Two other victims were reported shot at another location but are expected to survive. Good Friday ended with two more victims wounded by gunfire at two separate locations in Benito Juarez.
According to local media reports, a taxi driver was reportedly shot on Saturday morning while outside his home. A 19-year-old bricklayer was killed in his neighborhood. The killings continued on Easter Sunday when a dead male was found in a subdivision in the Villas Otoch neighborhood with multiple gunshot wounds.
Nearby Playa del Carmen registered 10 homicides this year to date with one being reported early Easter morning.
Breitbart Texas previously reported on the ongoing violence attributed by officials to the cartel wars over the disputed lucrative drug markets between CJNG, Los Zetas, Gulf, and independent groups loyal to the Sinaloa Cartel.
The total number of homicides in Cancun during 2017 was 259 while 165 were reported in 2016.
Playa del Carmen registered 26 killings in 2016 and 49 in 2017.
According to prior reporting, a grenade attack against state police occurred in Cancun in January. In March, cartel gunmen stormed a private hospital near the tourist hotel zone and executed a Gulf Cartel plaza boss.

Is the Migrant Caravan a Trojan Horse?

'Trojan horse' refers to a clever trick to hide and sneak foes across enemy lines. It is the story of a large hollow wooden horse constructed by the Greeks, to hide and hold Greek warriors. The horse was offered to Troy by the Greeks as a tribute to goddess Athena which would make Troy impregnable. Once brought inside the gates of Troy, soldiers emerged from the horse, opening the city gates to the Greek army. It was a clever and effective sneak attack.

Although this was an ancient technique of war, Trojan horses are being used today, in a different kind of war. This war is not against the Greeks, but instead against first world western countries, including the United States, that have lost the will to defend their people, their culture, and their borders.

The current Trojan horse is the “migrant caravan”, heading from Central, through Mexico, toward the U.S. southern border. The migratory surge is sponsored by a group called Pueblo Sin Fronteras, whose mission is to, “Accompany migrants and refugees in their journey of hope, and together demand our human rights.” The migrant caravan now traversing Mexico is  their modus operandi.
Migrants from Central America are supposedly fleeing their home countries to seek political asylum further north. They are allowed to cross Mexico’s own southern border but are not being invited to stay in Mexico or granted asylum by Mexico. Instead they are given assistance, by migrant organizations, the Mexican government, and likely American pro illegal immigration groups, toward their final destination, the United States.
Once they set foot in the U.S., they can claim political asylum, and with U.S. catch-and-release policies, are essentially set free within the U.S. Are all of the migrants being persecuted politically in their home countries or are some traveling with the caravan for other reasons? If so, how many? Do any U.S. government officials, other than President Trump, know or care?
This photo from CNN shows the migrant caravan.
So does this photo below from Telesur.

Notice how many of the migrants are young men, fit and of military age. These migrants look remarkably similar to photos of Syrian refugees entering Europe. Sure there are women and children too, but most are young men.
Why aren’t they staying in their home countries, trying to make things better for themselves, their families, and their fellow countrymen? In fact, are they all from Central America? Could any of these young men be from countries further east, as in the Middle East? Who knows?
ISIS once threatened to send half a million migrants to Europe as a “psychological weapon”. Could they be sending others to Central America? Who is screening or vetting the young men in the migrant caravan en route to the U.S.? Could this caravan be a Trojan horse designed to hide enemy combatants among those legitimately seeking refuge?
Aside from potential terrorists, what else might be hiding within the migrant caravan? How about contagious infectious diseases? Some nasty diseases may be crossing our southern border, as I wrote about several years ago. How many in the migrant caravan are carrying such a disease? Wouldn’t Americans want to be protected from outbreaks of chicken pox, hepatitis, and scabies?
Fast forward to the present and look what’s happening in New York City, asreported by the New York Post last week. “The number of tuberculosis cases in New York City suddenly jumped by 10 percent last year — the largest increase since 1992.”
TB is common in drug abusers but also in immigrants from certain countries. From the NY Post: “TB disproportionately affects foreign-born New Yorkers — accounting for 86 percent of all cases in the city.” Where in particular, you might ask?
“Many of the infected city residents came from China, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, India or Mexico.” Some of the same countries participating in the migrant caravan. Could contagious diseases be another Trojan horse hiding within the caravan?
Less dangerous is scabies, which as reported last year, is “on the rise among migrants” in Paris. When you bring there here, here becomes there.
Then there are drugs, already crossing the border with ease, which have no need of hiding in a Trojan horse. What about weapons? Is every backpack being carried through Mexico to the U.S. being searched? How easy would it be to bring a biological or chemical weapon, hiding with the masses of people making up the caravan?
What is the U.S. doing about this? The left is encouraging this mass migration as it supplies future Democrat voters necessary for them to advance their left-wing agenda. Republicans, concerned more about the well-being of the Chamber of Commerce and their other donors than they are about the American people, have been mum.
Mexico now claims to be stopping the caravan, allowing some migrants to seek asylum and others to be returned to their home countries. Perhaps the threats of economic sanctions have caught the attention of Mexican leaders. Similar to how a threatened trade war brought China to the negotiating table. Will this be the last of such caravans?
It remains to be seen as other reports dispute Mexican claims. Pueblos Sin Fronteras, declared the caravan would continue onward to and across the border. Who is telling the truth, the Mexican government or the immigration group supporting the caravan?
Regardless of whether Mexico is serious or just posturing, this is a slow pitch for President Trump to hit out of the park. Aside from unleashing an economic tsunami upon Mexico for aiding and abetting this mass migration, his signature campaign issue is ready to be hit into the upper decks.
Remember the omnibus spending bill with $700 billion in defense spending? And that the president has much more spending discretion with an omnibus spending bill than an actual budget?
It’s a golden opportunity for President Trump, under the blanket of national security and protecting the homeland from an invasion of sorts, to direct the military to secure our border via troops and a wall. Whether through the Army Corps of Engineers or private contractors, the time is ripe for Trump to make good on his campaign promise from that day he rode down the Trump Tower escalator and announced his candidacy.
If Democrats and even Republicans don’t like it, let them go on record defending mass migration of unvetted young men from who knows where, bringing who knows what into America. Waiting for Ryan and McConnell to do anything is like waiting for Hillary Clinton to go away. They will have excuses, just as they did for repealing Obamacare and passing a fiscally responsible spending bill.
Trump is the last chance to stop this invasion. Ignoring the problem is the surest way for him to lose his supporters. As he told us repeatedly, he would build the wall and make Mexico pay for it. The time is ripe to make good on that promise.

Experts: Caravan of Central Americans a ‘Walkathon for Open Borders,’ ‘Inevitable’ Result of Pushing Amnesty

As about 1,500 Central American migrants with the open borders group Pueblo Sin Fronteras are traveling through Mexico and willsoon reach the southern border, where they will likely request asylum in the U.S., experts say there are steps President Trump’s administration can take to block the group from entering the country.
Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) Director of Policy Jessica Vaughan called the caravan of migrants a “Walkathon for open borders” and a “stunt to try to test” the U.S. immigration system and the Trump administration, in an interview with talk radio host Larry O’Connor.
“The Trump administration could take some steps to try to head them off and send a signal that they’re not going to succeed in gaining entry into the United States,” Vaughan said. “And you know they could also provoke our government to declare an emergency, either not let them cross at all or detain them once they do get across and remove them back to their home countries very swiftly and that will prove to be a complete waste of time for them.” [Emphasis added]
We are not obligated to just accept people into this country who just show up on our doorstep,” Vaughan said. [Emphasis added]

CIS Director Mark Krikorian said current immigration laws that allow migrants traveling through Mexico to claim asylum in the U.S. would need to be changed to ensure caravans of migrants are not allowed into the country in the future.
“If you’re an illegal immigrant, and walk up to our immigration inspector at a border, and say ‘Hi, I want to claim political asylum,’ we have to take that seriously and let you in while we do that case,” Krikorian said. “Instead, we need the law to change so that anyone who passes through a country that has its own asylum system, like Mexico, doesn’t even get to apply. They just say ‘Sorry, try Mexico. That’s where you should have sought refuge.’ Because you’re supposed to look for it in the first country you’re not being persecuted in.” [Emphasis added]

.@MarkSKrikorian: “If you’re an illegal immigrant, and walk up to our immigration inspector at a border, and say ‘Hi, I want to claim political asylum,’ we have to take that seriously and let you in…Instead, we need the law to change.”

NumbersUSA President Roy Beck said in a statement to Breitbart News that the caravan of migrants was the result of the media establishment and Republican and Democrat lawmakers pushing amnesty for illegal aliens over the past six months.
This march is a predictable outcome of most American media and politicians sending the message to the world in recent years that another amnesty is inevitable and that Congress is unwilling to pass mandatory E-Verify and asylum reform,” Beck said.
NumbersUSA is urging the Republican-controlled Congress to pass Rep. Bob Goodlatte’s (R-VA) pro-American immigration reform legislation — which has been endorsed by Trump — that would end the process allowing border-crossers to easily claim asylum in the U.S. and thus be released into the country while they await trial.
Beck said mandatory E-Verify, the system that bans employers from hiring illegal aliens over Americans, would readily fix the larger illegal immigration issue.
“Mandating E-Verify to take away the jobs magnet would dispel the impression to the rest of the world that America will continue to hire most illegal workers who go to the trouble of getting here,” Beck said. “Congress must pass legislation to resolve this situation.”
In statements on Tuesday, Trump called the current immigration laws in the U.S. “horrible” and announced that he would be consulting with the Defense Department to enact a plan that deploys troops to the U.S.-Mexico border.

“We are preparing for the military to secure our border between Mexico and the United States,” Trump said.

Ann Coulter to Trump: You Built ‘Golf Course in Scotland, Skating Rink in Central Park,’ Now Build Border Wall

New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter is pleading with President Trump to executively build a border wall along the United States-Mexico border, saying “It’s 100 percent within his authority” as Commander-in-Chief.
During an interview with conservative talk radio host Howie Carr, Coulter continued her recent criticisms of Trump’s lack of implementation of his pro-American immigration reform agenda.
The border wall, Coulter says, is a project that Trump can and should take into his own hands instead of relying on the Republican-controlled Congress, which has ignored the president’s immigration agenda – instead, focusing on tax reform.
Coulter said:
Incidentally, people are always saying ‘Oh the wall, it’s a metaphor. It’s a metaphor.’ And in a sense, it is, which is to say, it stands for all of his promises on immigration. The imposition of E-Verify, the end of chain migration, the end of anchor babies, the end of taking more than one-half of the entire world’s refugees. We take more than the rest of the world combined.
But it also means building a physical wall. And I don’t think we’re getting it.
The scam is being exposed and that is the only thing [Trump] is angry with and he’s going to try to keep it going by sending out tweets saying he wants to build the wall and he’s so angry with the Democrats. Look, he’s a builder. It’s 100 percent within his authority to get this wall built. He’s the Commander in Chief. He doesn’t let anything stop him when he needs to install a golf course in Scotland, when he needs to put a skating rink in Central Park. That was part of the beauty of Trump, he’s a builder. [Emphasis added]
Coulter also said supporters of Trump should be critical of the president when he does not implement his “America First” agenda:
People who voted for him shouldn’t be cheering every time he betrays them. And this is a total betrayal for him to sign [the omnibus spending] bill. It is the total betrayal for him not to build the wall. And to pretend like it isn’t, yes he can come back. And as I told the New York Times, if he does, I’ll start a committee to put him on Mount Rushmore, if he builds that wall. But right now, if you want to make a bet, I don’t think we’re getting that wall.
Weeks ago, Trump set off a firestorm among his base of supporters when he signed off on House Speaker Paul Ryan’s omnibus spending bill that does not include a single provision from the president’s 70-point list of pro-American immigration reforms.
Those reforms include building a wall along the southern border, ending chain migration (which would cut legal immigration in half), mandating E-Verify to ban employers from hiring illegal aliens, and ending the “Catch and Release” program that releases illegal aliens into the interior of the country.
After upsetting his conservative and economic nationalist base of support, Trump took to Twitter to claim that a Calexico, California construction project along the U.S.-Mexico border was part of his border wall being construction, as Breitbart News reported.

EXCLUSIVE — South Texas Border Patrol Agents Overwhelmed by Illegal Border Crossers, Says Agent

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector continue to be overwhelmed by the numbers of illegal border crossers, they say. The sector continues to lead the nation in Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC), Family Unit Aliens (FMUA), and total apprehensions.
“A wall for this sector is necessary and needs to happen now,” Border Patrol Agent Chris Cabrera told Breitbart Texas in an interview. Cabrera spoke to Breitbart Texas in his capacity as vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307. “Walls will take time to build but there are things we need to do now, in the interim, to improve border security in this sector.”
“We are seeing huge numbers this year,” Agent Cabrera stated. “The numbers in February were much higher than the same month in the previous two years.”
In February, agents in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector apprehended 9,603 illegal immigrants, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources. These arrests include the apprehension of 1,387 unaccompanied minors and 3,222 partial families.
During the first six months of this fiscal year (which began on October 1, 2017), CBP reports indicate that RGV Sector agents apprehended more than 52,000 illegal immigrants. Of those, agents arrested more than 7,000 UACs and at least 20,000 FMUAs.
“We have the buildings to handle the influx of these people,” Cabrera explained, “but we don’t have the manpower. The influx is causing agents to be taken off the front line to assist with processing the families and unaccompanied minors. This leads to gaps in security and not enough agents to back each other up in the field.”
Cabrera outlined the consequences.
“This leads to lawsuits against the agency for overcrowding and not being able to meet court-imposed processing deadlines,” he continued. “It also creates an agent safety issue when we don’t have enough agents on the line to provide backup.”
Border Patrol agents are frequently assaulted while on duty, Breitbart Texas reported. During the first six months of Fiscal Year 2018, CBP indicated that illegal aliens assaulted more than 230 agents.
Cabrera said there is not enough court capacity in the RGV Sector to provide timely hearings for migrants in detention.
“President Trump hired a lot of new immigration judges,” he explained. “But, we are not seeing enough of them assigned to this sector to make a difference.”
The overwhelming numbers of migrants crossing the border and the lack of manpower, infrastructure support, and technology also lead to safety issues for the migrants themselves, he stated.
“We are seeing a lot of deaths this year,” Cabrera said. “Most of them have occurred in Brooks County, but we have also recovered drowning victims in or near the [Rio Grande].” Brooks County is located about 80 miles north of the Texas-Mexico Border.
Nearly 20 migrants died this calendar year in the RGV Sector–the largest number in the nation. Of those, Border Patrol agents and Brooks County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered at least 14.
Cabrera said most of the migrants arrested after crossing the border from Mexico come from Central America. CBP statistics show that Guatemala heads up the list this fiscal year with 8,814 UACs and 16,421 FMUAs. This is followed by migrants from Honduras, Mexico, and El Salvador.
Cabrera said they also see large numbers of Chinese nationals apprehended along the border and at inland checkpoints.
Breitbart Texas Editor-in-Chief Brandon Darby shocked many in June 2014 when he published leaked images of unaccompanied minors warehoused in the RGV Sector in overcrowded and unhealthy conditions. Since that time, hundreds of thousands of UACs and FMUAs have crossed the border illegally into South Texas.

A 'people without borders' is a people without democracy

Congress should make sure our border patrol has the manpower, equipment, funds, and authority to do what is needed.

About 1,100 Central Americans are marching toward the U.S.-Mexico border. Word from this “caravan,” organized by a group called Pueblo Sin Fronteras, or Peoples Without Borders, is that these migrants plan to turn themselves over to U.S. immigration officers and apply for asylum.
It’s worth noting some interesting math, among other things. If the caravan tried to evade the U.S. Border Patrol but was caught, it would be about equal to the number of illegal entrants caught every day at the southern border.
The border patrol caught 310,531 in fiscal 2017. In the first five months of fiscal 2018, apprehensions are up a bit, to about 900 a day. These are people caught trying to sneak into the U.S. between checkpoints.
It’s a huge problem.

BLOG: MOST PUT THE NUMBERS OF ILLEGALS IN THIS COUNTRY AT 40 MILLION WITH ABOUT 15 MILLION IN CA ALONE!
At least 10 million people are in here illegally. Many snuck in. Many others overstayed visas. Nearly 1,000 more are caught every day trying to cross. And another 2,000 a day overstay their visas.
We aren’t a “people without borders,” and we never should be. President Trump has ramped up border enforcement, but there is more work to do, and Congress should make sure our border patrol has the manpower, equipment, funds, and authority to do what is needed.
Border enforcement isn’t any old aspect of law enforcement. Democratic self-determination and the rule of law hinge on it.
A country without borders, Trump says repeatedly, is no country at all. This is true, and it’s important. National democracy is the biggest form that democracy takes in today’s world. In a democratic nation, self-determination includes determining who is part of the nation.
If we really believe in the ideas of the Enlightenment, then we have to believe in self-determining, democratic nations. That means we have to believe in immigration control.
How much immigration to have, and of what sort, is a live debate. We support something more open than Trump’s rhetoric would prescribe. We don’t favor cuts in the level of legal immigration, but we agree with the president’s tilt toward high-skilled newcomers.

BLOG: THE LA RAZA DEMOCRAT PARTY UNDER BARACK OBAMA NOT ONLY FUNDED LA RAZA, BUT PREACHED NON-ENFORCEMENT AND INVITED MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS INTO OUR BORDERS, JOBS, WELFARE LINES AND VOTING BOOTHS!

If we have laws and don’t enforce them, while so many of our business and political elites cheer the lax enforcement, we are trading democracy for oligarchy.

Illegal immigration corrodes the rule of law more than most lawbreaking. It creates subcultures and neighborhoods where families and communities live in the shadows. This means they’re less likely to call the police or operate above board, leaving their families vulnerable to the worst among them.

Trump’s critics blame this on aggressive deportation efforts. That can be debated, but we should all agree that the best place to enforce immigration law is at the border.
The Pueblo Sin Fronteras people want asylum status. This country has always welcomed genuine refugees, which is to say, people who have a well-founded fear of persecution in their own country. But migrants are not the same thing as asylum seekers. And anyway, why is the U.S. responsible for people from Guatemala tramping across a huge country such as Mexico, simply because this is where they would prefer to live? Asylum seekers, properly defined, are fleeing for their lives. They have the right to safety, not to residence in the land of milk of honey.
Imagine there’s no countries. It may sound nice in a John Lennon song, but it is facile and ill-considered. In reality, a land without a border is inhabited by a people without the rule of law or democracy.

SEEKING SANCTUARY FROM CALIFORNIA'S SANCTUARY POLICIES
By Mark Krikorian
CIS Blog, March 28,2018

Excerpt: While California hasn't seceded (yet), a similar dynamic is at work there in response to the state’s attempt at nullifying federal immigration law through "sanctuary" measures that prohibit public or private cooperation with immigration officers. The small city of Los Alamitos, in Orange County, voted last week to exempt itself from the state's sanctuary laws.

Persecuting police, ignoring illegal alien cop killers.

California attorney general Xavier Becerra, a former congressman once on Hillary Clinton’s short list as a running mate, will oversee the investigation into the police shooting of Stephon Clark in Sacramento on March 18. Anti-police mobs, some organized by Black Lives Matter, have since blocked access to Sacramento Kings games, halted traffic on Interstate 5, and shut down a Sacramento city council meeting.
On Friday, Clark’s family released a private autopsy showing that six bullets had struck Clark in the back. Results of the full investigation had not been released but a mob at city hall chanted “Fuck Sac PD,” and “the whole damn system is guilty as hell!”
Some protesters donned masks, chased innocent bystanders and as the Sacramento Bee reported, “tried to prevent media from photographing the conflict, at times grabbing cameras or holding up signs to block lenses.” The protests were “largely nonviolent, though passionate and confrontational” and more “social justice gatherings” had been planned.
One was organized by Jamier Sale of ANSWER, the Act Now to Stop War and End Racism coalition. The ANSWER website proclaims: “Trump’s choice of Bolton signals grave danger for Iran and North Korea.” The leftist group advocates for Palestinians and opposes the “illegal” blockade of Cuba, an all-white Communist dictatorship. In Sacramento Sale called for the firing of the officers in the confrontation with Clark.
Local establishment media portrayed Clark as a peaceful family man but his criminal record included arrests for robbery, pimping and domestic abuse. At the time of the shooting, Clark was still on probation for the robbery conviction.
On March 18, police were responding to a call about someone smashing car windows. Police in a helicopter spotted Clark shattering the glass door of a residence then jumping fences into the backyard of the home where Clark, 22, lived with his grandmother.
Officers Jared Robinet and Terrance Mercadal, an African American, (Sacramento police chief Daniel Hahn is also black) approached saying, “Show me your hands. Stop! Stop!” as Clark moved toward them holding an object they believed was a gun. The officers fired 20 shots at Clark, and no gun was found at the scene.
Clark’s family retained attorney Ben Crump, who represented the families of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown. POTUS 44 advisor Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy and told reporters “Trump should speak out, and there should be policy.” Xavier Becerra was eager to join the investigation but California’s attorney general ignored the case of illegal alien cop killer Luis Bracamontes, then playing out in Sacramento court.
BLOG: THERE IS NO CULTURE MORE RACIST THAN THE LA RAZA "The Race" MEXICAN CULTURE... IN MEXICO'S SECOND LARGEST CITY of LOS ANGELES, MEX GANGS ROUTINELY MURDER BLACKS IN COLD BLOOD TO ETHNICALLY CLEANSE THEIR HOODS
In October, 2014, the previously deported Mexican national gunned down police officers Danny Oliver and Michael Davis. Bracamontes told the court, “I wish I had killed more of the motherfuckers.” He called witness Anthony Holmes, whose car he had attempted to steal at gunpoint, a “nigger” and the Mexican shouted “black lives don’t matter!” at the jury.
Despite the violence, racism and weaponry – Bracamontes deployed an AR-15 – California attorney general Kamala Harris ignored the case. So has her replacement Xavier Becerra, and few in California are aware that the attorney general might have something to hide on a serious national security issue.
Becerra once headed the House Democratic Caucus and used the services of IT man Imran Awan, originally hired by DNC boss Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The unvetted Awan enjoyed access to the computers of 45 members of Congress, including members of the House Intelligence and Foreign Affairs committees, but as Andrew McCarthy noted, Awan could not possibly have qualified for a security clearance.
Awan accessed a server controlled by Xavier Becerra, but when federal authorities requested the data all they got was a fake image. Becerra bailed from Congress to become attorney general in California must face the voters in November. DC judge Tanya Chutkan, a selection of POTUS 44, is delaying Awan’s trial until after the election to keep voters in the dark about the Democrat candidate.
Jerry Brown hailed Xavier Becerra as a “champion for all Californians” but he looks the other way when Mexican nationals violate U.S. immigration law and commit violent crimes. The MEChA alum showed little if any sympathy for the family of Kate Steinle, gunned down by repeatedly deported Mexican national José Inez García Zarate.
The alleged “champion for all Californians” did not speak out on the murder of police officers Danny Oliver and Michael Davis. Neither did his office lend support to the prosecution of the Mexican racist who murdered the officers. On the other hand, Becerra eagerly joined the chorus on the Clark case.
While anti-police mobs raged through the streets, Jerry Brown issued pardons for five illegals facing deportation and guilty of crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, vehicle theft and drug dealing. President Trump cited the pardon for “criminal illegal aliens” in a tweet, asking “Is this really what the great people of California want?

IS A SECOND REVOLUTION BREWING? THE AMERCAN PEOPLE vs WALL ST. MEX INVADERS, CONGRESS, THE WHITE HOUSE, AND THE HISPANIC CAUCUS OF LA RAZA?

TAKING BACK OUR NATION FROM THE MEXICAN OCCUPIERS
THE COMING REVOLUTION... get on board or live in a graffiti covered Mexican dumpster. If you think we’re exaggerating, in today’s Los Angeles Times there’s an article on dump off of garbage etc., in Mexican occupied district of Los Angeles. Collected it would equal in volume a twelve story building...

THE MEXICANS ARE HERE.

As Sirota’s book suggests, there is a new revolution brewing. And it’s brewing all over the country by small groups and even individual activist determined to take back our nation from the corporate pillage, corruption, and 38 million illegals waving their Mexican flags.
The invasion of 38 million Mexicans since the “amnesty” of ‘86 didn’t happen by accident. It has been entirely calculated by our elected and their corporate paymasters. The objective is to depress wages which currently hovers in the figure of $200 billion per year. Add to that figure what it costs to subsidize this “cheap” labor, the welfare costs, which over around $300 billion per year. And then you have the genocide of American culture by the Mexicans who have utter contempt for the Mexican welfare state Washington, on behalf of big business, as fronted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and fought for in the trenches by the ACLU, has created in encourage their invasion. They hate our laws, ordinances, flag, language, and culture.
A glance at the American corporate donors to La Raza, the racist Mexican supremacist front would shock you. Would it shock you even more that your tax dollars are paid out to La Raza, which takes money from the Government of Mexico?
The following is a partial list of politicians that are La Raza members working for open borders, amnesty (illegal Mexicans are not interested in citizenship) and no wall. The ultimate goal of Mexico is to continue successfully using the United States as their welfare system, cut a deal whereby the illegals can hop the border, give birth, pillage, make their pesos and then return home.
Virulently racist Mexicans serving Congress are

Joe Baca of California, Loretta Sanchez and sister

Linda, also of California. Luis Gutierrez, the

rabidly Mexican racist Congressman from Illinois

Chicago. Grace F. Napolitano (D- CA) and Xavier

Becerra.

Here’s Napolitano’s quote in Congressional Quarterly on Barack Obama and the representative for illegals in Congress:

“Unless I see something inherently helpful to our community, I’m going to sit back and see what happens,” Napolitano said. Napolitano and some of her Hispanic colleagues are informally boycotting Obama campaign events aimed at reaching out to Clinton supporters because the candidate himself has not asked for their help.

Here’s Becerra’s quote from the same article in Congressional Quarterly:

But the wound was exacerbated earlier this week when Rep. Becerra, one of Obama’s most prominent Hispanic supporters, told Politico that he advised the Obama campaign that he could wrap up Hispanic backing by saying “Just give him to me for a week, and I will deliver the Latino vote.”

“Thirteen years after welfare reform, the share of immigrant-headed households (legal and illegal) with a child (under age 18) using at least one welfare program continues to be very high. This is partly due to the large share of immigrants with low levels of education and their resulting low incomes — not their legal status or an unwillingness to work. The major welfare programs examined in this report include cash assistance, food assistance, Medicaid, and public and subsidized housing.”  Steven A. Camarota

BLOG: MANY DISPUTE CALIFORNIA’S EXPENDITURES FOR THE LA RAZA WELFARE STATE IN MEXIFORNIA JUST AS THEY DISPUTE THE NUMBER OF ILLEGALS. APPROXIMATELY HALF THE POPULATION OF CA IS NOW MEXICAN AND BREEDING ANCHOR BABIES FOR WELFARE LIKE BUNNIES. THE $22 BILLION IS STATE EXPENDITURE ONLY. COUNTIES PAY OUT MORE WITH LOS ANGELES COUNTY LEADING AT OVER A BILLION DOLLARS PAID OUT YEARLY TO MEXICO’S ANCHOR BABY BREEDERS. NOW MULTIPLY THAT BY THE NUMBER OF COUNTIES IN CA AND YOU START TO GET AN IDEA OF THE STAGGERING WELFARE STATE MEXICO AND THE DEMOCRAT PARTY HAVE ERECTED SANS ANY LEGALS VOTES. ADD TO THIS THE FREE ENTERPRISE HOSPITAL AND CLINIC COST FOR LA RAZA’S “FREE” MEDICAL WHICH IS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT $1.5 BILLION PER YEAR.

Liberals claim they more than make that up with taxes paid, but that’s simply not true. It’s not even close. FAIR estimates illegal aliens in California contribute only $1.21 billion in tax revenue, which means they cost California $20.6 billion, or at least $1,800 per household.

Nonetheless, open border advocates, such as Facebook Chairman Mark Zuckerberg, claim illegal aliens are a net benefit to California with little evidence to support such an assertion. As the Center for Immigration Studies has documented, the vast majority of illegals are poor, uneducated, and with few skills. How does accepting millions of illegal aliens and then granting them access to dozens of welfare programs benefit California’s economy? If illegal aliens were contributing to the economy in any meaningful way, California, with its 2.6 million illegal aliens, would be booming.

Furthermore, the complexion of illegal aliens has changed with far more on welfare and committing crimes than those who entered the country in the 1980s. Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens. Granted, those statistics are old, but if you talk to any California law enforcement officer, they will tell you it’s much worse today. The problem is that the Brown administration will not release any statewide data on illegal alien crimes. That would be insensitive. And now that California has declared itself a “sanctuary state,” there is little doubt this sends a message south of the border that will further escalate illegal immigration into the state.

"If the racist "Sensenbrenner Legislation" passes the US Senate, there is no doubt that a massive civil disobedience movement will emerge. Eventually labor union power can merge with the immigrant civil rights and "Immigrant Sanctuary" movements to enable us to either form a new political party or to do heavy duty reforming of the existing Democratic Party. The next and final steps would follow and that is to elect our own governors of all the states within Aztlan."

Indeed, California goes out of its way to attract illegal aliens. The state has even created government programs that cater exclusively to illegal aliens. For example, the State Department of Motor Vehicles has offices that only process driver licenses for illegal aliens. With over a million illegal aliens now driving in California, the state felt compelled to help them avoid the long lines the rest of us must endure at the DMV. And just recently, the state-funded University of California system announced it will spend $27 million on financial aid for illegal aliens. They’ve even taken out radio spots on stations all along the border, just to make sure other potential illegal border crossers hear about this program. I can’t afford college education for all my four sons, but my taxes will pay for illegals to get a college education.

If Immigration Creates Wealth, Why Is California America's Poverty Capital?

California used to be home to America's largest and most affluent middle class.  Today, it is America's poverty capital.  What went wrong?  In a word: immigration.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau's Official Poverty Measure, California's poverty rate hovers around 15 percent.  But this figure is misleading: the Census Bureau measures poverty relative to a uniform national standard, which doesn't account for differences in living costs between states – the cost of taxes, housing, and health care are higher in California than in Oklahoma, for example.  Accounting for these differences reveals that California's real poverty rate is 20.6 percent – the highest in America, and nearly twice the national average of 12.7 percent.

Likewise, income inequality in California is the second-highest in America, behind only New York.  In fact, if California were an independent country, it would be the 17th most unequal country on Earth, nestled comfortably between Honduras and Guatemala.  Mexico is slightly more egalitarian.  California is far more unequal than the "social democracies" it emulates: Canada is the 111th most unequal nation, while Norway is far down the list at number 153 (out of 176 countries).  In terms of income inequality, California has more in common with banana republics than other "social democracies."

More Government, More Poverty

High taxes, excessive regulations, and a lavish welfare state – these are the standard explanations for California's poverty epidemic.  They have some merit.  For example, California has both the highest personal income tax rate and the highest sales tax in America, according to Politifact.

Not only are California's taxes high, but successive "progressive" governments have swamped the state in a sea of red tape.  Onerous regulations cripple small businesses and retard economic growth.  Kerry Jackson, a fellow with the Pacific Research Institute, gives a few specific examples of how excessive government regulation hurts California's poor.  He writes in a recent op-ed for the Los Angeles Times:

Extensive environmental regulations aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions make energy more expensive, also hurting the poor.  By some estimates, California energy costs are as much as 50% higher than the national average.  Jonathan A. Lesser of Continental Economics ... found that "in 2012, nearly 1 million California households faced ... energy expenditures exceeding 10% of household income."

Some government regulation is necessary and desirable, but most of California's is not.  There is virtue in governing with a "light touch."

Finally, California's welfare state is, perhaps paradoxically, a source of poverty in the state.  The Orange Country Register reports that California's social safety net is comparable in scale to those found in Europe:

In California a mother with two children under the age of 5 who participates in these major welfare programs – Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps), housing assistance, home energy assistance, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children – would receive a benefits package worth $30,828 per year.

... [Similar] benefits in Europe ranged from $38,588 per year in Denmark to just $1,112 in Romania.  The California benefits package is higher than in well-known welfare states as France ($17,324), Germany ($23,257) and even Sweden ($22,111).
Although welfare states ideally help the poor, reality is messy.  There are three main problems with the welfare state.  First, it incentivizes poverty by rewardingthe poor with government handouts that are often far more valuable than a job.  This can be ameliorated to some degree by imposing work requirements on welfare recipients, but in practice, such requirements are rarely imposed.  Second, welfare states are expensive.  This means higher taxes and therefore slower economic growth and fewer job opportunities for everyone – including the poor.
Finally, welfare states are magnets for the poor.  Whether through domestic migration or foreign immigration, poor people flock to places with generous welfare states.  This is logical from the immigrant's perspective, but it makes little sense from the taxpayer's.  This fact is why socialism and open borders arefundamentally incompatible.

Why Big Government?
Since 1960, California's population exploded from 15.9 to 39 million people.  The growth was almost entirely due to immigration – many people came from other states, but the majority came from abroad.  The Public Policy Institute of California estimates that 10 million immigrants currently reside in California.  This works out to 26 percent of the state's population.

BLOG: COME TO MEXIFORNIA! HALF OF LOS ANGELES 15 MILLION ARE ILLEGALS!
This figure includes 2.4 million illegal aliens, although a recent study from Yale University suggests that the true number of aliens is at least double that.  Modifying the initial figure implies that nearly one in three Californians is an immigrant.  This is not to disparage California's immigrant population, but it is madness to deny that such a large influx of people has changed California's society and economy.

Importantly, immigrants vote Democrat by a ratio higher than 2:1, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies.  In California, immigration has increased the pool of likely Democrat voters by nearly 5 million people, compared to just 2.4 million additional likely Republican voters.  Not only does this almost guarantee Democratic victories, but it also shifts California's political midpoint to the left.  This means that to remain competitive in elections, the Republicans must abandon or soften many conservative positions so as to cater to the center.
California became a Democratic stronghold not because Californians became socialists, but because millions of socialists moved there.  Immigration turned California blue, and immigration is ultimately to blame for California's high poverty level.

Is California Governor Jerry Brown Mentally Ill?

Leftists are relentlessly selling their bogus narrative that Trump is insane.  Here are samples of leftists' headlines: "Lawmakers Met With Psychiatrist About Trump's Mental Health," "President Trump's Mental State An 'Enormous Present Danger,'" "The Awkward Debate Around Trump's Mental Fitness," "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists Assess."
So what has Trump done to convince leftists that he must be crazy?  Unlike Republicans, Trump fearlessly confronts fake news media, calling them out when they lie.  Unlike Obama's punish-evil-America-first presidency, Trump has America's best interest at heart.  Unlike leftists seeking to dissolve our borders, Trump plans to build a wall to protect our people and our economy.  Insanely, leftists cheered when Obama allowed Ebola into America, claiming it was racist and unfair for Americans not to be subjected to the disease.  Unlike Obama, Hillary, Democrats, and fake news media's war on Christianity (forcing a 100-year-old order of Catholic nuns to fund contraception and forcing Christian businesses to service same-sex ceremonies), Trump vows to defend religious liberty.
So I guess, according to leftists' perverse way of thinking, that Trump must be crazy, along with the 63 million Americans who voted for him.
Meanwhile, leftists are ignoring glaring reasons to question the sanity of California's governor, Jerry Brown.  The entire country is talking about the collapse of California due to decades of insane liberal policies.  And what is Governor Brown's response?  He implemented hundreds more destructive liberal rules, regulations, and giveaways to illegals.  An article listing the top ten stupidest new California laws includes "Single-User Restrooms," "Controlling Cow Flatulence," "Legalizing Child Prostitution," and "Felons Voting."
Governor Brown signed a new law making California a sanctuary state, doubling down on his bizarre quest to undermine American citizens.  In essence, Brown gave federal law, President Trump, and legal California residents his middle finger.  Numerous California families have suffered devastating losses of family members killed by illegals with long felony records who have been deported several times and welcomed back with open arms by Brown.  One mom whose son was killed by an illegal with two DUIs and two felonies said Brown should be arrested for treason.  Isn't it reasonable to question Brown's sanity?
Liberal governing has transformed beautiful California into the poverty capital of America with the worst quality of life.  Crazy taxes, crazy high cost of living, and crazy overreaching regulations have crushed the middle class, forcing the middle class to exit the Sunshine State.  All that is left in California are illegals feeding at the breast of the state, rapidly growing massive homeless tent cities, and the mega-rich.  Would a sane governor take pride in causing this to happen to his state?
Headline: "San Francisco Is A Literal [s-]hole, Public Defecation Map Reveals."  Can you imagine homeless people pooping on the streets being so pervasive that an interactive map was created to help citizens avoid the piles of poop?  Human feces carries infectious diseases.  What kind of irrational logic deems posing such health risks to constituents an act of compassion?  Is Governor Brown crazy?
Insanely, three fourths of California's taxpayer dollars – more than $30 billion – is spent on illegal aliens.  Meanwhile, despite the highest taxes in the nation, California is $1.3 trillion in debt – unemployment is at a staggering 11%.  California's wacko giveaways to illegals include in-state tuition, amounting to $25 million of financial aid.  Nearly a million illegals have California driver's licenses.  L.A. County has 144% more registered voters than there are residents of legal voting age.  Clearly, illegals are illegally voting
Get this, folks: Americans are spending almost a billion dollars a year on auto insurance for illegals.  Brown is gifting illegals billions in welfare and housing while his constituents cannot find a place to live.
Ten years ago, a buddy of mine excitedly moved his family from Maryland to California to accept the highest-paying job of his career.  Despite his lucrative salary, he was forced to move back east due to the outrageously high cost of living.  My buddy said if he were an illegal, practically everything would be free.  His story inspired me to write and record a Beach Boys-style song titled "Can't Afford the Sunshine."
Once again, I ask you, folks: would a rational governor do what Brown is doing to his constituents?  Is Governor Jerry Brown mentally ill?

Laura Ingraham: ‘California Is Almost Acting Like It’s a Separate Country’

by JEFF POOR10 Mar 201877
Earlier this week on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” host Laura Ingraham slammed California and its leaders for its sanctuary city policies and its open defiance of the federal government seeking to uphold existing immigration law.
Transcript as follows:

INGRAHAM: The radical takeover of California, that’s the focus of tonight’s ANGLE.
I still remember the first time I traveled to Southern California, it was the summer of 1984 and Los Angeles is hosting the Olympics. Reagan was president and Republican George (inaudible) was the state’s governor. Now, he was a moderate conservative, a law and order kind of guy.
The whole place, to me at least, felt like a Beach Boy song, the weather, the people, the lifestyle was all, you know, beautiful stuff. But today, the sunshine not with understanding, California is a very different place. It’s now a place where state officials actively thwart federal authorities trying to stop violent criminal offenders.
Oakland’s mayor, Libby Schaaf, went so far as to issue a warning to immigrant communities that an ICE raid was forthcoming. Well, the president sounded off on that today.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DONALD TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: What the mayor of Oakland did the other day was a disgrace where they had close to 1,000 people ready to be gotten, ready to be taken off the streets. Many of them, they say 85 percent of them were criminals and had criminal records, and the mayor of Oakland went out and she went out and warned them all, scatter.
So instead of taking in a thousand, they took in a fraction of that. She said get out of here. She is telling that to criminals and it’s certainly something that we are looking at with respect to her individually. What she did is incredible and very dangerous from the standpoint of ICE and Border Patrol, very dangerous. She really made law enforcement much more dangerous.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
INGRAHAM: Now, for her part, Mayor Schaaf is deflecting that criticism and she is going straight to the r-word.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MAYOR LIBBY SCHAAF, OAKLAND: The attorney general is trying to distract the American people from a failed immigration system by painting a racist, broad brush of our immigrant community as dangerous criminals.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
INGRAHAM: Now who is mentioning skin color or ethnicity or where people are from. That’s just pathetic. California, the way you see this playing out, is almost acting like it’s a separate country all together, not a separate state. Well, I think Attorney General Jeff Sessions was 100 percent correct yesterday when he labeled state officials radical extremists for perpetuating the lawlessness.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JFFF SESSIONS, ATTORNEY GENERAL: Federal law determines immigration policy. State of California is not entitled to block that activity. Somebody needs to stand up and say no, you’ve gone too far. You cannot do this.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
INGRAHAM: But California AG Javier Becerra shot back. He argued that the state sanctuary laws are constitutional adding our folks are very busy doing public safety around the state. We don’t have to do the immigration work for immigration officials. Excuse me. Public safety?
Well, that’s what we are supposed to believe when your own Oakland mayor warned the illegal aliens ahead of time when she got wind of the ice raid that was about to happen? Today, the White House released a partial list of the crimes committed set free despite the lawful request of immigration authorities. Check it out.
There is a Guatemalan citizen who was arrested last august for injuring his spouse. While the Sonoma County jail provided ice with a whopping 24 minutes in the before it released the alien. A few weeks later, the Santa Rosa Police Department in California arrested that same individual as a suspect in the murder of his girlfriend.
Another Guatemalan, an alleged gang member was arrested by the San Francisco police more than 10 times between 2013 and 2017 for charges including rape, domestic battery, second degree robbery, assault, vehicle theft, and on each occasion, what happened was ice requested notification of his release so then ice could take him into custody.
Each time ICE’s request was declined by California. And then a citizen of Mexico was arrested by Santa Clara County for drug possession on January 11th, 2017. He was later convicted of child cruelty, felony possession purchase of controlled substances and, of course, possession of marijuana. He was released from local custody.
The list goes on and on. And we could literally do an entire show just on the myriad ways that California sanctuary policies have endangered the lives of innocent, law abiding citizens. And, of course, law enforcement and, of course, legal immigrants.
California AG Becerra and Governor Moon Beam Brown are living in alternative universe. They deny that they even have sanctuary laws in place. Yet, here’s what their new statutes stipulate. In violation of federal statutes, local officials cannot tell the feds when illegals in custody are about to be released.
And they are banned under this law from transferring criminal immigrants to federal officials. Now, we are talking about undocumented criminals here. And the state of California is also so concerned about the welfare of the illegal immigrants, that they imposed a state-run inspection of immigrants detained by the federal government.
So, basically, they are trying to regulate federal immigration detention and, perhaps most outrageously, one California law now requires private business owners to — they can’t voluntarily cooperate with ICE agents. Now, in fact, they have to notify illegal employees before any workplace inspections take place or those private business owners face heavy fines.
Now, you cannot get more radical and rapidly open borders than that. Though California officials are triggered over the sessions’ lawsuit, it may be, may be the beginning of restoring some sanity to this state.
Republicans, let’s face it, largely have been shut out of California politics now for years u and we are a very long way from the days when Pete Wilson was governor back in the 1990s. Permissive liberal social welfare policies and the embrace of illegal immigrants have plunged the state into a spiral of homelessness.
It’s now at a crisis point declared by San Francisco and Los Angeles and even Orange County. We reported on this before is grappling with homeless encampments and the crime and health issues that come along with them. This is not what the people of California want. How do I know that?
Well, a UC Berkeley poll just found that 74 percent of Californians wanted to end sanctuary cities including 55 percent of Hispanics, and 73 percent of Democrats. Now, if that’s not a cry for sanity or a cry for help, I do not know what is.
Sessions and the Trump administration are throwing the golden state a lifeline with these sanctuary lawsuits because if they’re successful, perhaps the good vibrations, political and otherwise, can roll through California once again. And that’s THE ANGLE.

America Not to Blame for Mexico's Problems

ttps://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/03/america_not_to_blame_for_mexicos_problems.html

Regarding the current border crisis and problems in Mexico, if you ask many Latinos who come over to the U.S., and those who advocate on their behalf, they will tell you with a straight face that their country was ruined by the Mexican-American War of 1846-48, and that it was American Imperialism that destroyed Mexico and its economy. While we know that this is an excuse, the fact is, they believe the propaganda and both Mexicans and now Americans are now taught this propaganda.  But facts are stubborn things, and history is on our side. These lies are being taught in our universities and we need to combat them with the truth.  While the truth is not pretty, it justifies the Polk Adminstration in going to war with Mexico in 1846.
When Mexico received its independence from Spain in 1821, they planned on having a nation very similar to the U.S., with a system of independent semiautonomous states similar (if not quite the same) to what the United States originally were. The northernmost state of Tejas, was underpopulated, and by decree, the Mexican government made it open to anyone from the USA wanting to settle there. Cheap land doesn't grow on trees, so Americans came there by the thousands. It worked very well, probably too well, and in the mid-1830s the Mexican government set aside this decree and called the northern border of Tejas secure – making it a crime for Americans to settle there.  But by that time, it was too late, and more and more white Americans were coming to what is now the United State of Texas.

In the early 1830s, a military despot named Santa Anna came to power, and shortly afterwards, abandoned the Mexican state system, concentrating most of the power into the capital city.  Several of the Mexican states, including Yucatan and Tejas, rebelled against this naked power grab.  Only the Mexican state of Tejas was successful, and after the battle of San Jacinto, won its independence from Mexico and became the Republic of Texas.
Santa Anna signed the Treaty of Velasco giving Texas its independence, and was then tossed from power for the first of several times.  A series of military dictatorships were in power from the 1830s through 1850, virtually a new one every two years.  But for a brief time in 1845-1846, Mexico had civil rule. It was during this time that the U.S. allowed Texas to join as a new state, something that the Mexican army saw as an act of war.
Then President James Polk sent Louisiana congressman John Slidell to see the Mexican president with an offer to purchase Alta California and New Mexico (the present-day states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, and part of Colorado), similar to what Jefferson did with Napoleon and the Louisiana Purchase.  Mexican President Joachin de Herrera, a pragmatist who was not opposed to at least talking to the Americans, was denounced as a traitor by the supporters of Santa Anna, and was forced by the Mexican Parliament to go to war -- something Herrera knew would end up with a Mexican defeat.
Herrera knew that Mexico was too poor to either inhabit or defend the northern states and preferred to take the pragmatic step of getting money for land that Mexico had no use for at the time, a very prudent step diplomatically, but one which was very unpopular politically.  If the U.S. had not wanted California, our rival at the time Great Britain surely did, to stop Americans from populating the Western U.S. and giving them a warm-water port on the west coast.  There was no way that Mexico could hold onto Alta California or New Mexico.  But the idea of receiving millions of dollars for land they could not possibly protect or inhabit may have sounded good to de Herrera.  The nation was in near bankruptcy after gaining its independence, and the idea of $30 million coming in (much more than Jefferson paid for the Louisiana territory) would have helped set Mexico back into financial stability.
But the friends of Santa Anna (at that time in exile in Cuba) labeled anyone who would consider negotiating with the Americans a traitor, so de Herrera was overthrown and a more nationalistic government under General Mariano y Arrillaga came into power.  The Mexican army then shot at U.S. troops on U.S. territory (something the Mexicans dispute, since they had decided not to honor the Treaty of Velasco) and the war came.  And while I will grant that Polk handled the negotiations in an oafish way (sending the U.S. military to feign an invasion in a bizarre attempt to force the Mexicans to the bargaining table), the fact remains that the Mexican military wanted this war and never would have allowed President de Herrera to sell a sliver of Mexican territory even if Mexico was to go bankrupt without that cash.
The end result was predictable.  Santa Anna returned to power by lying to both the Americans and to the Mexican people and led the Mexican army to a glorious defeat and was overthrown yet again.  The Mexican people were completely humiliated by allowing themselves to be goaded into a military showdown they had no chance of winning.  Santa Anna showed that he was one of the most incapable battle commanders in human history (Google the Mexican battle plan at either Cerro Gordo or Buena Vista), and gave U.S. soldiers practical battle experience for our next war, the American Civil War. We Americans like to think that we only go to war for noble causes (such as the Revolution, the Civil War, or WWII) and the reasons for going to war with Mexico don't always jibe with our view of ourselves.  But what if Great Britain had taken over California?  The U.S. would have been under constant worry of invasion.  Or what if the Russians had taken California?  Where would the U.S. be then?  We'd have Vladimir Putin in our backyard.  Perhaps the Mexican War was not a "noble cause" but the alternatives were too ghastly to consider.  At least President Polk offered the Mexicans a hefty sum for what the U.S. needed to secure its western border, something that neither Great Britain nor Russia would have given the Mexicans.  Polk went to war in the name of reality, not in the name of conquest.
Current illegal immigrant sympathizers like to call the American settlers in Tejas "illegal immigrants" but this is a fallacy.  The Mexican government originally invited American settlers into Texas and then tried to ban further immigration in the early 1830s (The Mexican government was afraid of too many white people in Mexican territory).  Santa Anna tore up the constitution of 1821 and took away rights that both Americans and Mexicans had gotten used to, and somehow White Anglo-Saxon Protestants became illegal immigrants.  The Mexicans provoked the next confrontation by reneging on the Treaty of Velasco and then opening fire on U.S. troops on U.S. soil.  The Americans tried to figure out a way for both nations to live together peacefully and offered the Mexicans a large windfall for land that was of no use to Mexico.  A Mexican president tried to negotiate and was tossed from office, and somehow the U.S. is a bad actor.
Mexico may be in trouble, but it was a failed state long before the loss of Texas and the Mexican-American war.  As in the early 1800, Mexico remains a failed state because it does not have any tradition of democracy or republican rule, and because it has been ruled by despots throughout its history.  When they actually get a man who can see the big picture (i.e. de Herrera) they call him a traitor, boot him from office, and then go to war, only to have a piece of their anatomy handed to them, and then blame others for their own stupidity.  Mexican "historians" such as Jesus Velasco Marquez have done their countrymen no favors by perpetuating these lies (see the 52-minute mark.)
Drawing lessons from our own mistakes is one of the hardest things to learn. This is something that Mexican sympathizers can't seem to do. The U.S. and a war as far back as the 1840s are not to blame for Mexico's problems.  Mexico, and Mexico alone, is to blame.  And the sooner that the Mexican people learn this, the sooner the intelligentsia of both countries stops enabling Mexican pathologies the sooner Mexico will start to improve as a nation and cease being a failed state.  But that would require growing up as a nation, something that many in academia do not want anyone to do.

What’s clear is that the producers are leaving the state and the takers are coming in. Many of the takers are illegal aliens, now estimated to number over 2.6 million. The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates that California spends $22 billion on government services for illegal aliens, including welfare, education, Medicaid, and criminal justice system costs.

Federal agents raided Q.T Fashion and numerous other businesses in the downtown fashion district Wednesday, cracking down on a scheme that cartels are increasingly relying on to get their profits — from drug sales, kidnappings and other illegal activities — back to Mexico, authorities said.

Nine people were arrested in raids targeting 75 locations, and $90 million was seized — $70 million in cash. In one condo, agents found $35 million stuffed in banker boxes. At a mansion in Bel-Air, they discovered $10 million in duffel bags.

"Los Angeles has become the epicenter of narco-dollar money laundering with couriers regularly bringing duffel bags and suitcases full of cash to many businesses," said Robert E. Dugdale, the assistant U.S. attorney in charge of federal criminal prosecutions in Los Angeles.

ZOGBY INTERNATIONAL POLL - 2002 MAJORITY OF MEXICAN POPULATION BELIEVES THE SOUTHWEST TERRITORY OF THE U.S. RIGHTFULLY BELONGS TO MEXICO! Americans and Mexicans have widely divergent views of border issues, according to a new poll by Zogby International.
Zogby found that a large majority of the Mexican population believes the southwest territory of the U.S. rightfully belongs to Mexico, and that Mexicans should have the right to enter the U.S. without first obtaining U.S. permission. By contrast, Zogby's survey of Americans conducted within a few days of the Mexican poll shows a large majority supports reducing immigration levels and wants the military deployed along the border to protect the U.S. from illegal immigration. Zogby's poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, "the territory of the United States' Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Only 28 percent disagree, and 14 percent are unsure. A similar majority, 57 percent, agree with the statement, "Mexicans should have the right to enter the U.S. without U.S. permission," while 35 percent disagree. Seven percent are unsure. The survey has a margin of error of 3.5 percent. The Mexico portion of the survey was conducted in Spanish between May 25 and May 26 among 801 adults chosen at random throughout Mexico. The poll was commissioned by Americans for Immigration Control, Inc. (AIC), which advocates increased restrictions on immigration. "There is obviously a large and significant gap between the attitudes of Americans and Mexicans," said Robert Goldsborough, AIC president. "While most Americans want immigration reduced, most Mexicans think they don't even need permission to enter our country. The poll clearly shows there is less common ground for immigration negotiations between Mexico and the U.S. than the leaders think. Support for a porous border and a loose migration policy occurs only on the Mexican side, not in the U.S." Zogby's survey of American attitudes found wide majorities of Americans also oppose amnesty for illegal aliens. The U.S. portion of the survey was conducted of 1,015 likely voters in the U.S. from May 28 to May 30. It found that 65 percent disagree with the statement, "foreigners residing illegally in the U.S. should be given amnesty." Just 26 percent of likely voters support amnesty for illegals, while 9 percent are unsure. A large majority, 58 percent, agree that the U.S. should "admit fewer immigrants each year." Only 6 percent want "more immigrants each year," and 30 percent want to "keep immigration at the current annual levels." The single largest majority in the entire poll was found among Americans supporting use of the military to guard the border. Fully 68 percent of those surveyed agree with the statement, "the U.S. should deploy military troops on the border as a temporary measure to help the U.S. Border Patrol curb illegal immigration." Only 28 percent disagree, and 3 percent are unsure.

“THE AMNESTY ALONE WILL BE THE LARGEST EXPANSION OF THE WELFARE SYSTEM IN THE LAST 25 YEARS” Heritage Foundation
"The amnesty alone will be the largest expansion of the welfare system in the last 25 years," says Robert Rector, a senior analyst at the Heritage Foundation, and a witness at a House Judiciary Committee field hearing in San Diego Aug. 2. "Welfare costs will begin to hit their peak around 2021, because there are delays in citizenship. The very narrow time horizon [the CBO is] using is misleading," he adds. "If even a small fraction of those who come into the country stay and get on Medicaid, you're looking at costs of $20 billion or $30 billion per year."

MULTICULTURALISM, IMMIGRATION AND AZTLAN
By Maria Hsia Chang Professor of Political Science, University of Nevada Reno
One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.
Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.
How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."
That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication, which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."
Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."
A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."
For Rodolfo Acuna, author of Occupied America: The Chicano's Struggle Toward Liberation, probably the most widely assigned text in U.S. Chicano Studies programs, the Anglo-American invasion of Mexico was "as vicious as that of Hitler's invasion of Poland and other Central European nations...." The book also includes a map showing "the Mexican republic" in 1822 reaching up into Kansas and Oklahoma, and including within it Utah, Nevada, and everything west and south of there
"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!

"Today we march, tomorrow we vote!" the next day gringos..... (will wave the Mexican flag - MEX INVASION)
Mexican Invasion
By Tom Barrett (04/19/2005)

At the current rate of invasion (mostly through Mexico, but also through Canada) the United States will be completely over run with illegal aliens by the year 2025. I’m not talking about legal immigrants who follow US law to become citizens. In less than 20 years, if we do not stop the invasion, ILLEGAL aliens and their offspring will be the dominant population in the United States. According to US Border Control (see LINK below). “They will have made such inroads into the political and social systems that they will have more influence than our Constitution over how the U.S. is governed. The ugly consequence of an ignored U.S. Constitution is already taking place.” The millions upon millions of illegal aliens streaming into the US are the foundation for what could be another attempt at secession by several US states. Many of them will use ill-conceived programs that reward illegal immigration to become US citizens. Other illegals will simply go to the polls and vote without taking the trouble to apply for citizenship. Together, these groups could form a voting block that could tear our nation apart. Those of you who read the email version of this column should go to www.ConservativeTruth.org to see the map posted there. It shows the borders of a new nation proposed by influential Mexican nationals and Hispanic US Citizens. (See LINK below: Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland'.) It includes six northern states of Mexican, as well as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and southern Colorado. The idea of a Hispanic Homeland could be ignored as the pipedream of crackpots if a substantial majority of Mexican citizens did not support it. A Zogby poll of Mexicans done in June 2002 revealed that a substantial majority of Mexican citizens believe that southwestern America properly belongs to Mexico. They said that Mexicans do not need the permission of the U.S. to enter this territory. 58 percent of Mexican citizens agreed with this statement: "The territory of the United States' southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Only 28 percent disagreed with the statement. Listen to what some Mexican government officials and US leaders (including politicians and Professors at taxpayer-funded Universities) have to say on this subject. Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of La Raza Unida political party screams at rallies: "We have an aging white America. They are dying. They are ******** in their pants with fear! I love it! We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him!" (See LINK below.) Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council "They’re afraid we’re going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They’re right. We will take them over. Mario Obledo, California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Jerry Brown, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Bill Clinton, says, “California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave." Proposition 187 was the California initiative supported by a majority of Californians that denied taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens. Speaking at a Latino gathering in response to Proposition 187’s passage in 1995, Art Torres, the Chairman of the California Democratic Party, said: "Power is not given to you. You have to take it. Remember, 187 is the last gasp of white America in California." The national newspaper of Mexico, Excelsior: "The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot." Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor: "We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country...I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I’m going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back." Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General: “We are practicing ‘La Reconquista’ in California." "Reconquista" means the reconquest of the US southwest by Mexico. (See LINK below.). These people are serious! They think they are going to take US territory. The Mexican President declared it here in our country, and Bill Clinton signed a Presidential Executive Order that paves the way for at least part of Mexico’s dream. Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo said in Chicago on July 23, 1997, "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important – a very important – part of this. For this reason, my government proposed a constitutional amendment to allow any Mexican with the right and the desire to acquire another nationality to do so without being forced to first give up his or her Mexican nationality." Translation: It is next to impossible to receive Mexican citizenship unless you can prove you are of Mexican descent. But Mexico knows that the US has soft immigration laws and will grant citizenship to almost anyone. (After all, we grant citizenship every day to immigrants from countries who have sworn to destroy us.) So Mexico wants to take advantage of this ridiculous situation by encouraging their citizens to apply for US citizenship while keeping Mexican citizenship. That way the Mexican government can influence the political process here in the US. Executive Order 13122, signed on May 25, 1999, by the most treasonous president this nation has ever been cursed with, Bill Clinton, established an Interagency Task Force on the Economic Development of the Southwest Border. Part of the Order reads, "The Southwest Border or Southwest Border region is defined as including the areas up to 150 miles north of the United States-Mexican border in the States of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and California." According to experts on international law, this sets the stage for a 150-mile-wide “Border Zone” that will neither belong to Mexico or the US. This could then become the first area of a Hispanic Nation that would eventually encompass the areas shown in the map of the proposed Republica del Norte (The Northern Republic). Our government, pushed by liberal Democrats, has been systematically laying the groundwork for such a breakaway republic. Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts? It’s called affirmative action or racial privilege. Some time ago a vote was taken in the U.S. Congress to end this practice. It was defeated. Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants. They were joined by thirteen Republicans. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good. They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants. Mexico, a nation that has benefited enormously from American generosity is now working to destabilize our country. Is “destabilize” too strong a word? I don’t think so. Whether or not Mexican leaders think they can actually create enough hatred against “gringos” to accomplish the creation of a new republic made up of mainly US territory, they know that pushing that agenda will cause huge political problems here and allow Mexico to accomplish many of their goals. Is the government of Mexico behind this? You have seen quotes from a Mexican President and a Mexican Consul General in support of it. They have everything to gain and little to lose by pushing it. The Mexican government is also pushing illegal immigration, which destabilizes our economy. The US Border Control website (see LINK below) shows an illustration from a Mexican government publication showing their citizens how to best illegally enter the US. Why? It takes the strain of taking care of unemployed Mexicans off the Mexican treasury and puts it on the US treasury. And when the illegals get on welfare, they send some of their money home, which helps the Mexican economy. All this talk by Mexican and US officials about the US illegally occupying Mexican territory does nothing but breed racial hatred. The sad thing is that none of this is about race. It is about the things that all wars and conflicts are about: Greed, power and money. I don’t like to talk about a problem without offering a solution. The US politicians and professors who advocate taking US territory are guilty of sedition. Remove them from their offices and (hopefully) put them in a federal penitentiary where they can consider the error of their ways. The Mexican politicians who do the same are guilty of inciting sedition. This is very close to an act of war. Immediately cut of all economic aid to Mexico until its government publicly disavows this lunatic plan. Finally, we must realize that we can’t stop this by marching US troops into Mexico. We should use troops to guard our borders, because the US Border Patrol cannot cover the huge US-Mexico border without help. And we need to use pass laws that will stop the government from rewarding illegal immigrants at the expense of those who follow the law. We have a huge immigration problem in this country. This ridiculous Hispanic Homeland idea is just a symptom of the problem. INTERNET RESEARCH: Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland' 1. http://www.aztlan.net/homeland.htm Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland' ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A University of New Mexico Chicano Studies professor predicts a new, sovereign Hispanic nation within the century, taking in the Southwest and several northern states of Mexico. Charles Truxillo suggests the “Republica del Norte,” the Republic of the North, is “an inevitability.” He envisions it encompassing all of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and southern Colorado, plus the northern tier of Mexican states: Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. Along both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border “there is a growing fusion, a reviving of connections,” Truxillo said. “Southwest Chicanos and Norteño Mexicanos are becoming one people again.” Truxillo, 47, has said the new country should be brought into being “by any means necessary,” but recently said it was unlikely to be formed by civil war. Instead, its creation will be accomplished by the electoral pressure of the future majority Hispanic population in the region, he said.

Bangladesh Nationals Continue to Flood Texas Border

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector of Texas continue to find more Bangladesh nationals being smuggled across the border from Mexico. Agents arrested 12 over the Easter weekend alone.
The Laredo Sector continues to lead the nation in the apprehension of Bangladeshis smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico. Over the Easter weekend, agents arrested 12 in three separate incidents, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The crossings all took place in southern Laredo where border barriers are virtually non-existent.
“It goes to show that our agents are arresting people from all over the world on a daily basis. Their intentions for entering the country illegally can only be determined after they have been arrested,” Laredo Sector Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel Acosta said in a written statement.
Acosta said his agents have arrested a total of 156 Bangladeshis since the beginning of Fiscal Year 2018 (October 1, 2017). This represents an increase of 64 percent over the previous fiscal year.
Agents arrested eight Bangladeshis during a two week period in March, Breitbart Texas reported. They crossed the border from Nuevo Laredo in two separate events on March 28 and 29, officials stated.
One week earlier, agents from the sector arrested nine after they illegally crossed from Nuevo Laredo as well, Breitbart Texas reported.
One week before that, agents in this same sector arrested seven more. The Los Zetas cartel controls human smuggling in the region.
“The arrest of these people from Bangladesh shows there is a clear pipeline from the Middle East through Mexico to the southern border of Texas,” Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza said in his capacity as president of the National Borde Patrol Council Local 2455. “We have been lucky to catch these groups but there is no telling how many other people from countries that sponsor terrorism could be utilizing that same pipeline.”
“This part of the border lacks physical barriers that would help prevent these types of crossings,” Garza stated. “There is nothing to stop these types of crossings.”
Garza said the National Border Patrol Council has been calling for additional barriers and manpower in this sector for years. “Right now we have no way to stop the flow of people being smuggled into the U.S. from countries that are state-sponsors of terrorism.”
The BBC reported in February that Islamist extremism has been on the rise in Bangladesh.
As far back as 2014, Breitbart Texas reported on the porous nature of the Laredo Sector.
