GOP Voters: Immigration Most Important Issue Facing the Nation
Immigration remains the most important issue to Republican voters, conservatives, and supporters of President Trump, a new poll reveals.
The latest Harvard/Harris Poll finds that a plurality of 41 percent of Republican voters say immigration is the most pressing issue facing the nation. Meanwhile, 42 percent of conservatives said the same, while 44 percent of Trump voters said immigration was the single biggest issue:
White voters, likewise, say immigration is one of the top three biggest issues, along with healthcare and terrorism.
The poll reveals that GOP voters, conservatives, and Trump voters believe that immigration is vastly more important than issues like tax reform, the national debt, and healthcare.
As Breitbart News has reported, likely GOP voters have told pollsters for months that immigration is their biggest priority heading into the 2018 midterm elections.
Border Patrol agents patrolling the area of San Luis, Arizona arrested a Mexican national with previous felony convictions of first-degree rape, second-degree kidnapping, and first-degree burglary early Thursday evening, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) announced Friday.
Yuma Station agents arrested the male subject at approximately 4:34 p.m. on Thursday after he illegally entered the United States two miles east of the San Luis Port of Entry.
During processing, agents identified the 50-year-old male from Jalisco, Mexico as Deonicio Torres-Salazar who has felony convictions of first-degree rape, second-degree kidnapping, and first-degree burglary out of La Grande, Oregon in 1993.
He was previously removed from the United States through the Del Rio, Texas Port of Entry in September 2017. After further questioning, Salazar stated he was traveling to San Luis, Arizona.
Salazar has been charged with re-entry after deportation.

Mexican Authorities Capture Drug Lord’s Brother Wanted for Cartel Hit in Texas
Mexican authorities arrested the brother of a top Mexican drug lord in connection with his alleged role in ordering a cartel murder near Dallas in 2013.
This week, agents with Nuevo Leon’s State Investigation Agency tracked down and, with the help of the Mexican Navy, arrested Ramon “El Gatillo or El Ramoncillo” Villarreal Hernandez. After the arrest, the agents turned him over to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office who is handling an extradition request from the U.S. government, where Villarreal is wanted in connection with ordering a cartel hit near Dallas.
Law enforcement sources in Nuevo Leon revealed to Breitbart Texas that Villarreal has been investigated for assault and robbery charges in the municipality of China, However, he was not arrested and has a clean criminal history.Villarreal is the brother of Rodolfo “El Gato” Villarreal Hernandez, a top lieutenant with the Beltran Leyva Cartel. The cartel has been taking part in a fierce fight for control of the state with rival Beltran Leyva boss Hector “La Burra or HH” Huerta Rios. The two Villarreal brothers are believed to have been the men who ordered the murder of Mexican attorney Juan Jesus Guerrero Chapa in Southlake, Texas, not far from Dallas. Guerrero Chapa represented Gulf Cartel boss Osiel Cardenas Guillen who currently in a U.S. prison.
Despite Guerrero Chapa’s ties to the Gulf Cartel, the murder is linked to the Villarreal brothers blaming the attorney for their father’s death.

The National Security Commissioner for Mexico, Renato Sales, confirmed the capture of Carlos Arturo Quintana, “El 80,” the leader of “La Línea”–the armed wing of the Juárez Cartel (Nuevo Cartel de Juárez) and one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives.
The National Security Commissioner announced the apprehension occurred on the morning of May 18, by the Mexican Army in coordination with the National Security Commission and Federal Police in Namiquipa, Chihuahua.
Quintana, currently listed under the FBI’s Criminal Enterprise Investigations, is wanted for drug trafficking charges in New Mexico. La Línea is considered one of the most violent in Chihuahua.
According to law enforcement sources from the Security Cabinet, they confirmed to La Jornada the participation of “an elite group” involved in the capture of Quintana.
Quintana was singled out by authorities for making threats against journalist Miroslava Breach Velducea, a correspondent for La Jornada in Chihuahua, murdered in March 2017.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), La Línea is currently involved in a bitter dispute for valuable territory in Chihuahua against the Sinaloa Cartel factions led by Rafael Caro-Quintero and Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada—both are wanted by the FBI.

THE MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS OPERATING IN AMERICA’S OPEN BORDERS

Officials in Linden, North Carolina, discovered 120 gallons of liquid methamphetamine hidden inside the fuel tank of a semi truck being driven by an alleged illegal alien, reports say.
Harnett County Sheriff’s officers pulled the truck over on May 19 and discovered the large amount of the liquefied drug. According to WRAL, the liquid was destined to be turned into 454 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and would have had a street value of $90.8 million.
The seizure was part of a wider investigation into the trafficking of meth in the area.
The truck was crewed by Raul Topete Arreola, 49, and Aquileo Perez Pineda, 48. Pineda was quickly put on an immigration hold while immigration officials looked into Arreola’s immigration status.
The pair were charged with three counts each of trafficking methamphetamine and placed under a three million dollar bond.
CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas — The ongoing fight for territorial control between rival cells of the Cartel Del Noreste (CDN or Northeast Cartel) and Zetas Vieja Escuela escalated over the weekend in the capital of this border state. Officials found six women — executed at the hands of the cartel and subsequently thrown into a deep ravine.Two of the victims were pregnant.
The women had been kidnapped by a team of gunmen from the restaurant where they worked. The restaurant is located on a road called Rumbo Nuevo in the southeastern part of the Tamaulipas capital of Ciudad Victoria.
Ciudad Victoria is disputed by two main drug cartels — the alliance ofOld School or Vieja Escuela Zetas along with theGulf Cartel versus the CDN. Both used to be part of the cartel once known as Los Zetas.
Due to the depth of the canyon where the bodies were thrown, the removal by authorities took more than a day. Only one of the victims has been identified — 44-year-old Elsa Concepción Turrubiates. Two of the unidentified women were pregnant.
WItnesses sounded the alarm when they saw a team of cartel gunmen pull in to a small roadside restaurant that mainly caters to travelers and took the women by force.
Tamaulipas state police officers and investigators, as well as the Mexican Army, carried out a search operation in an attempt to rescue the women. The search ended when they found the bodies of the women at the bottom of a 300-feet ravine.
Authorities had to wait a day for rescue teams to arrive with the needed equipment to climb down the ravine and remove the corpses one by one.
All six of the victims had been shot in the head in a manner similar to execution style. It is believed by authorities that after they were shot, their bodies were dumped into the ravine where they rolled down to the bottom.Forensic investigators working the scene were able to find six 9mmcasings in the area.
The last cartel murder in the region that is similar in nature took place in November of 2017 when a team of cartel hitmen pulled up to another roadside restaurant a shot three employees there. Roadside restaurants appear to be a target for cartels because authorities suspect many are used as drug sale points for truck drivers.
