TRUMP ADMINISTRATION COMBATS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST AMERICAN WORKERS
ICE investigation uncovers company that defrauded Americans out of jobs.
June 28, 2018
Immigration fraud has been identified as a key method of entry and embedding for international terrorists, and fugitives from justice and for transnational gang members. This was the underlying premise for my booklet, Immigration Fraud: Lies That Kill.
However immigration fraud may also be committed by companies who seek to create the illusion of complying with our nation’s immigration laws while, in reality, discriminating against American workers by hiring foreign workers for whom they apply for temporary work visas such as the H-2B visa.
It is important to remember that prior to World War II the primary authority for the enforcement and administration of our nation’s immigration laws was primarily vested in the Labor Department to protect American workers from unfair competition from foreign workers. This was of particular importance back then as America was attempting to dig out of the Great Depression.
Our immigration laws were enacted to protect national security, American lives and the livelihoods of Americans.
Nevertheless, wacky candidates for political office such as television actress Cynthia Nixon, who is seeking to unseat New York Governor’s Andrew Cuomo, has called for dismantling ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as reported in the June 22, 2018 New York Post article, Cynthia Nixon labels ICE a ‘terrorist organization’
On June 26, 2018 the Department of Justice issued a press release, Justice Department Settles Claims Against Landscaping Company for Discriminating Against U.S. Workers.
Here is how the DOJ press release begins:
The Justice Department today reached a settlement agreement with Triple H Services LLC, (Triple H), a landscaping company based in Newland, North Carolina, that conducts business in Virginia and four other states. The agreement resolves the Department’s investigation into whether Triple H discriminated against qualified and available U.S. workers based on their citizenship status by preferring to hire temporary workers with H-2B visas, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).The Department’s investigation found that although Triple H went through the motions of advertising over 450 landscape laborer vacancies in five states, it did so in a manner that misled U.S. workers about the available positions and prevented or deterred some from applying. The Department found that Triple H did not consider several qualified U.S. workers who applied for positions in Virginia during the recruitment period, and instead hired H-2B visa workers. In several states where jobs were available, the Department found that Triple H prematurely closed the online job application process for U.S. worker applicants, filled positions with H-2B visa workers without first advertising the jobs to U.S. workers in the relevant locations, or advertised vacancies in a manner that did not make the postings visible to job seekers using state workforce agency online services. The Department concluded that in taking these actions, Triple H effectively denied U.S. workers access to jobs based on its preference for hiring temporary H-2B visa workers to fill the positions. Refusing to consider or hire qualified and available U.S. workers based on their citizenship status violates the INA’s anti-discrimination provision, regardless of whether an employer has complied with other rules governing the use of temporary employment-based visa programs.
A common claim made by anti-American globalists is that the “immigrants do the work Americans won’t do” while blithely ignoring that Americans will do any job, for a reasonable wage under lawful conditions.
On a personal note, my dad was a tradesman/construction worker, a plumber who worked with his buddies in the construction trades on all sorts of job sites building houses and office buildings. He worked on the 1964 New York World’s Fair and on John F. Kennedy International Airport.
For my dad and his co-workers, the word “impossible” did not exist. For them that word simply represented a challenge because they did not believe that any job was too filthy, dangerous or back-breaking to do.
Today millions of hard-working Americans of every race, religion and ethnicity continue to trudge off to their jobs the are fundamental to our nation, happy to earn that all-important paycheck.
Unscrupulous employers, however, seek to slash their costs by hiring and exploiting foreign workers who are often less qualified than their American counterparts but are willing to work for substandard wages under substandard conditions.
While globalists frequently attempt to play the “compassion card” there is nothing compassionate about exploiting foreign workers or screwing American workers out of their jobs.
The Democratic Party that used to represent American blue collar workers have sold them out by advocating for the flooding of America with huge numbers of foreign workers. Often American and lawful immigrants pay for this betrayal with their jobs and their ability to support themselves and their families. All too often this results in these American and lawful immigrants becoming homeless.
Homelessness has soared to record levels, often engendering the separation of children from their parents. Ironically while the Democrats vociferously wailed about the administration prosecuting illegal aliens who are caught entering the United States covertly, without inspection and hence separating the children from their parents, these same politicians completely ignore the way that American kids have been taken from their homeless parents.
The investigation into the discriminatory hiring practices of Triple H Services addressed in the DOJ press release uncovered apparent fraud.
Undoubtedly there are many, many other companies operating throughout the United States who defraud various elements of the immigration system to displace American workers to drive down wages and, perhaps, force their workers to work under illegally dangerous conditions.
All that continues to protect them from discovery is the abject lack of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents.
As I noted in my previous article, neither of the bills proposed by House Speaker Ryan or House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte include the funds to hire a single additional ICE agent, although the Goodlatte Bill would increase staffing at CBP (Customs and Border Protection) by 10,000 employees, with half going for the hiring of additional Border Patrol agents.
However, help is on the way.
As we have seen with ramping up enforcement along the U.S./Mexican border, by the stated policy of “Zero Tolerance” for illegal entry of aliens, focusing all efforts on that dangerous and problematic border will not, ultimately succeed.
In November 2001, just weeks after the attacks of September 11 I testified at a hearing before the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus chaired by Congressman Tom Tancredo to explore how the immigration system had failed to abysmally as to permit our nation to suffer the worst terror attack in the history of our nation.
In my prepared testimony I raised the issue of the need to think of the immigration enforcement program as resting on the three legs of what I described as the “Immigration Enforcement Tripod.” In my concept the Border Patrol enforces our immigration laws from between ports of entry, the Inspectors enforce the immigration laws at ports of entry and the special agents of the INS (today ICE) enforce our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States.
Traditionally, that third leg representing the enforcement of our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States has always been much shorter than the other legs. Consequently aliens came to expect that if they can, by whatever means possible, enter the United States, they will have little to fear if they violate our immigration laws, commit crimes or attempt to defraud the immigration system to acquire lawful status by committing immigration fraud.
Similarly, employers who hire illegal aliens or engage in fraud to discriminate against American workers also have virtually nothing to fear.
Of course, the abomination of Sanctuary Cities exacerbate this problem in apparent violation of Title 8 U.S. Code § 1324 which deems the aiding, abetting, inducing, harboring and shielding illegal aliens from detention to be felonies when done by individuals or organizations.
While a border wall would help to secure that dangerous U.S./Mexican border, without meaningful interior enforcement of our immigration laws, aliens will continue to find ways of entering the United States, spurred on by Sanctuary Cities and Sanctuary States and a lack of assets for the enforcement of our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States.
Once again the Trump administration is acting to close the loopholes and thus protect national security, public safety and the livelihoods of American and lawful immigrant workers.
Only fools could argue with those vital goals.
How Democrats' Amnesty Push May Destroy All Prospects of a 'Blue Wave' in November
Amnesty for illegal aliens has never been a winning issue for Democrats. Barack Obama seemed to operate with this knowledge. But his successors obviously don't share his political cunning.
Obama, you see, always played his cards close to the vest when it came to the politics of this issue. He paid lip service, at least, to constitutional protocol: "I'm not a king," he told many audiences who desired that he unilaterally cease deportations for criminal trespassers.
Deportations had to happen by law, he asserted. But beneath the table, he was undermining the laws of the people as only the shiftiest despot might.
Take what's commonly become known as his "catch and release" policy, more formally known as his administration's "prosecutorial discretion" guidelines. Under these guidelines, ICE data from 2013 reveal, "hundreds of thousands [of illegal aliens] who were identified in the interior of the country were released instead of removed." In that year, only 25% of criminal trespassers in America were charged with their crime. To make matters worse, a large number of those released were criminals, even beyond their having committed the crime of entering this country illegally. In fact, 68,000 (or 35% of the illegal aliens encountered by officers) had "criminal convictions," and they were released into the population "without formal notice to law enforcement agencies and victims."
For the record, more than 80% of Americans disagree with this "catch and release" policy to this day.
All of that leaves little to wonder as to why Obama, and the media he carried in tow, hid this "prosecutorial discretion" policy from Americans to the greatest extent possible. But he was unable to hide it for long, and particularly among those seeking to break our laws by coming here illegally.
Three quarters of illegal trespassers not being charged with a crime and being released into the "shadows" is not something easily missed by those desiring to break the law, you see. The summer of 2014 saw illegal aliens, and peculiarly massive numbers of unattended children, surge across the border by the tens of thousands. The American people witnessed this spectacle and became angry at the policies of the administration that led to it.
Obama was met with a political conundrum of his own making. Should he admit that he has no respect for the rule of law as written or provide an outward show of a desire to enforce it?
He chose the latter. In mid-June of 2014, he told the Mexican government, then facilitating much of the flow-through of migrants from Central America, that immigrants crossing illegally "won't qualify for legalized status or deferred deportation, including children."
This was damage control in anticipation of the coming election, and in response to his dismal approval polling (which, by the way, was significantly lower in June 2014 than Trump's current approval rating).
Perhaps here is as useful a time as any to observe that the longstanding legal precedent of not allowing children to remain incarcerated with a trespassing illegal alien parent for longer than 20 days was being firmly enforced at that time. In 2013 alone, the administration's Health and Human Services Department had "as many as 25,000 unaccompanied children in its care across 80 shelters." That is, these were the same shelters being hyperbolically likened to Auschwitz by some sympathetic observers now that Donald Trump is the president but that went curiously undiscussed in previous years.
November of 2014 was the most immediate reckoning for all of Obama's shenanigans around illegal immigration. Republicans showed up in huge numbers to vote Democrats out in November of 2014, and few honest observers would say that the election was not predicated upon the central issues of Obamacare and illegal immigration policy.
It created a funny sort of circumstances, politically speaking. The American people clearly wanted enforcement of existing immigration laws, yet we were assured, even by conservative pundits, that Republicans' refusal to legislate amnesty for some illegal trespassers would spell doom in 2016. Brit Hume went on record saying that "Republicans will go forward into 2016 election without their name associated with immigration reform which will make it very difficult for any Republican to become president."
Yet history took us forward to November of 2014, where Democrats were shellacked into a greater deficit in the federal and state legislatures than even the landmark 2010 election had done (the greatest shift in legislative power in over 60 years). It carried us forward to 2016, where a Republican president was elected after campaigning upon the fundamental promise to "build a wall" and strictly enforce existing immigration policy.
There is value in observing that in 2014, Barack Obama recognized the danger in the American people recognizing that Democrats actually desire unsecured borders and blanket amnesty. Today, Democrats seem to see their victory in openly expressing that they desire both things.
Make no mistake: they now have no choice. Donald Trump has thoroughly exposed them.
When Democrats argued that 800,000 DREAMers should be made legal citizens legislatively earlier this year, Trump upped the ante by offering that 1,800,000 of them be made legal citizens – but only in exchange for stronger border control measures to curb illegal immigration. Democrat legislators defiantly walked away from that deal.
And recently, Democratic hopeful for the presidency in 2020 Kamala Harris said that Trump must "end the zero-tolerance" policy in regard to separating children from their parents who've been incarcerated for having broken our immigration laws. Trump responded by instructing federal border enforcement to hold children and the parents in incarceration together. Within four hours of her demand, Kamala Harris said the solution "will not fix the problem."
So what is the problem? The problem, as initially offered (and as has been the political football media outlets have been running with these last two weeks), is that children are being "ripped" and "torn" from their parents as they await potential deportation. It is a "problem" that preceded Donald Trump. But when Trump offers a solution – that they can remain together as they are processed for either asylum or deportation – the problem is no longer that they're being "ripped" or "torn" from their parents, but that the children get to stay with their parents in incarceration for having broken our laws.
Removing children from their parents was a travesty to Kamala Harris, and not even four hours later, having them remain with their parents was also a travesty.
So just what is she demanding?
She is demanding no less than the absolute decriminalization of illegal entry into this country. This is precisely what Democrats (and some Republicans) want, but those calling for it before have been shrewder in their demanding of it. Kamala Harris is demanding "catch and release" of lawbreakers, without any sort of vetting. She is openly demanding what Barack Obama tried to hide as covert policy, and for which Democrats were shellacked the last midterm election once it was meaningfully exposed.
Absolute amnesty is still not a winning position with the American people. Democrats would do far better by going back to the drawing board to drum up new outrage about climate change or doubling down on transgender rights as their flagship issue, something like that.
Trump has forced Democrats to show their hand on illegal immigration, and in so doing, he may have ensured that the "blue wave" Democrats were once optimistic would sweep America this November will become little more than a fanciful myth some media outlets and college professors told to hopeful leftist dupes in early 2018.

OBAMA CRONIES GET RICH OFF MIGRANT KIDS
Razaists rip off America.
June 25, 2018
“More than one million immigrants have been deported since President Obama took office,” the 2011 PBS “Frontline” Lost in Detention contended. “Under his administration, deportations and detentions have reached record levels. The get-tough policy has brought complaints of abuse and harsh treatment, including charges that families have been unfairly separated after being caught in the nationwide dragnet.”
As Cecilia Muñoz, White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs explained, “Even if the immigration law is executed with perfection, there will be parents separated from their children.” As it turns out, that separation policy was intentional, and the Obama administration deployed it to enrich cronies.
“Texas-based Southwest Key Programs has taken in roughly $1 billion in federal contracts since the Obama administration,” Fox News reports, “and is expected to receive about $500 million this year to house and provide services for immigrant children.” Southwest Key holds a total of “more than 5,000 immigrant children, about 10 percent of whom are said to have been separated from their families since May, when the new policy was announced. Its shelters for immigrants minors are in Texas, Arizona and California.”
Southwest Key Programs also operates “the largest licensed shelter for immigrant children in the United States. A 250,000-square-foot facility at a former WalMart superstore in Brownsville, Texas, today houses some 1,500 boys between the ages of 10 and 17 who illegally entered the U.S.”
According to a report by Drew Griffin of CNN, Southwest Key operates 83 detention centers across the country and has pulled in $1.5 billion in federal contracts. Southwest Key boss Juan Sanchez bags a cool $1.47 million a year “which makes him one of the highest paid charity CEOs in the country.” Mark Owen of the IRS told CNN Sanchez’s salary “extraordinarily high” and Sanchez’s wife grabs a salary of $262,000. The Southwest Key website does not feature management salary information.
KXAN of Austin reports that Southwest Key has received $995 million in federal funds since 2015. Over a three-year period, Southwest Key had “more than 200 violations at its facilities,” including a resident failing to receive proper care for a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
