MICHAEL CUTLER - THE LIES OF NO BORDERS ADVOCATE FOR SLAVE LABOR GEORGE SOROS
The George Soros-backed American Immigration Council is the latest group hell-bent on "resisting" commonsense immigration enforcement in the U.S. Several in this group are, themselves, practicing immigration attorneys who should know the truth about the dangers of open borders policies for communities across the U.S. However, key lawyers representing this leftist fringe group, gloss over provable facts to promote dangerously false information about the legal aspects of the immigration issue.
One such example of the white-washing lawyers at the American Immigration Council comes from Joshua Breisblatt, the group's Senior Policy Analyst and an immigration attorney who boasts his extensive background in immigration law and touts his lobbying efforts within the Halls of Congress to push the open borders agenda. His bio also notes that he previously worked for former Congressman Harry Mitchell of Arizona.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued new guidance to initiate deportation proceedings for thousands of applicants denied for any immigration benefit. This policy change will have far-reaching implications for many of those interacting with the agency, but also signals a major shift in how USCIS operates.
USCIS was never meant to be tasked with immigration enforcement. Their mandate has always been administering immigration benefits. With its distinct mission, USCIS was created to focus exclusively on their customer service function, processing applications for visas, green cards, naturalization, and humanitarian benefits.
The new USCIS guidance instructs staff to issue a Notice to Appear (NTA) to anyone who is unlawfully present when an application, petition, or benefit request is denied. This will include virtually all undocumented applicants, as well as those individuals whose lawful status expires while their request is pending before USCIS.
In other words, Breisblatt opposes the Trump administration’s sensible policy of removal (deportation hearings) for illegal aliens whose applications for immigration benefits are denied.
Generally, such applications are denied if an alien is ineligible for the immigration benefit - for whatever reason. But the main reason many denials of benefits is that the alien committed immigration fraud by lying on their application.
In fact, it appears Breisblatt objects to the necessary adjudications process altogether, referring to it as simply “processing applications”were providing service for the aliens being the key issue.
What Breisblatt and the American Immigration Council advocates for, instead, is a policy where fraud would be encouraged and enabled.
I am intimately familiar with the adjudications process. Early in my career with the former INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) I was assigned in the mid 1970’s for a one year period, as an Adjudications Officer- then known as an Immigration Examiner, to a pilot program to combat immigration fraud by interviewing aliens and their U.S. citizen or lawful immigrant spouses who had filed petitions to provide the aliens with lawful immigration status.
The program was created when a sudden and massive influx of applications for lawful immigrant status flooded the New York District Office.
It appeared that many of the “loving couples” were likely not living together but had entered into a sham marriage wherein the U.S. citizen or lawful immigrant petitioning spouse was paid to marry the alien.
When major discrepancies were discovered during the interview (the husband and wife were interviewed separately) the case was immediately assigned to a team of INS investigators. If the couple conceded that they were not living together, the illegal alien was immediately taken into custody and was put before an immigration judge within a day or two.
In cases where the couple denied committing fraud, a team of INS investigators would conduct a field investigation. If evidence was found that the couple was not living together, the alien was arrested per an administrative warrant and held for a deportation hearing.
Within just a few months, the number of petitions that were filed plummeted as the aliens came to realize that if they would face consequences for committing fraud.
Immigration fraud involves several federal laws such as 18 U.S. Code § 1546 which includes this excerpt which notes that immigration fraud committed in connection with terrorism carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison:
Whoever knowingly makes under oath, or as permitted under penalty of perjury under section 1746 of title 28, United States Code, knowingly subscribes as true, any false statement with respect to a material fact in any application, affidavit, or other document required by the immigration laws or regulations prescribed thereunder, or knowingly presents any such application, affidavit, or other document which contains any such false statement or which fails to contain any reasonable basis in law or fact—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 25 years (if the offense was committed to facilitate an act of international terrorism (as defined in section 2331 of this title)), 20 years (if the offense was committed to facilitate a drug trafficking crime (as defined in section 929(a) of this title)), 10 years (in the case of the first or second such offense, if the offense was not committed to facilitate such an act of international terrorism or a drug trafficking crime), or 15 years (in the case of any other offense), or both.
This is certainly an extremely serious crime.
Yet the American Immigration Council would have you believe that the best way to deal with immigration fraud is to just approve all of the applications so that we don’t add more cases to the already overflowing backlog of applications for benefits or clog the overcrowded immigration courts.
Incredibly, Breisblatt provided a link to an official document issued by the Immigration Ombudsman of the administration of George W. Bush, that purportedly supports his claim that previous administrations opposed the issuance of NTA’s to illegal aliens whose applications for immigration benefits were denied.
Nothing could be further from the truth. That document includes this excerpt:
Recommendation to USCIS that its policy on issuing Notices to Appear be standardized to provide that NTAs be issued and filed with the immigration court in all cases where, as a result of adjustment of status denial, the applicant is out of status.
For the government, failure to place a removable alien before an Immigration Judge creates a perception that the government tolerates violation of immigration laws;
For USCIS, if an NTA is not issued, (a) an applicant can file a new adjustment of status application which must be processed; (b) along with the new adjustment application, an applicant can also file for employment authorization. Thus, some applicants who are ineligible for adjustment of status can continue to file for it and receive employment authorization despite the knowledge that they will be denied at some point;
For applicants who wish to have an Immigration Judge review their adjustment application, USCIS failure to issue an NTA precludes such an opportunity;
For the public, USCIS failure to issue an NTA to a removable alien can be seen as neglecting a duty to ensure compliance with the immigration laws; and
For ICE, DHS’s enforcement branch, retaining removable aliens in USCIS processing prevents a true assessment of the number of cases pending and, thereby, precludes accurate resource planning and allocation.
As an INS special agent, I spent years investigating immigration fraud. Indeed my very first fraud investigation led me to uncover a terror plot in Israel. Fortunately, working with the Israeli National Police and the FBI a bombing at an oil refinery was averted.
The second largest contingent of federal agents who are assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) are immigration law enforcement agents because international terrorists generally commit multiple immigration law violations- often beginning with visa fraud and/or immigration benefit fraud.
The official report of the 9/11 Commission staff, 9/11 and Terrorist Travel focuses considerable attention on the issue of immigration fraud and included these statements:
“Once terrorists had entered the United States, their next challenge was to find a way to remain here. Their primary method was immigration fraud.
Terrorists in the 1990s, as well as the September 11 hijackers, needed to find a way to stay in or embed themselves in the United States if their operational plans were to come to fruition. As already discussed, this could be accomplished legally by marrying an American citizen, achieving temporary worker status, or applying for asylum after entering. In many cases, the act of filing for an immigration benefit sufficed to permit the alien to remain in the country until the petition was adjudicated. Terrorists were free to conduct surveillance, coordinate operations, obtain and receive funding, go to school and learn English, make contacts in the United States, acquire necessary materials, and execute an attack.
Given their backgrounds, these far-left American Immigration Council lobbyists clearly know the risks that immigration fraud creates in American communities and to average Americans. Yet, they are determined to obfuscate the truth and leave our nation vulnerable to Immigration Fraud: Lies That Kill.
Efforts by these opponents of fair and effective immigration law enforcement are succeeding in sparking subversive protests across the United States, under the banner of “Occupy ICE.”
From Portland, Oregon to New York City and towns and cities and states in between, demonstrators have been convinced or, more properly conned, into resisting immigration laws that protect national security, public safety and the livelihoods of American and lawful immigrant workers.
For those who think they are demonstrating compassion by obstructing immigration law enforcement, a bit of advice is in order, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
A group of illegal alien activists with the open borders organization “United We Dream” — partially funded by globalist billionaire George Soros — shut down an intersection in Miramar, Florida last week, demanding an end to all immigration enforcement.
More than a dozen of the illegal alien activists were arrested after shutting down the Florida intersection for hours, sitting around in human chains wearing orange shirts that read “abolish ICE.”
The protesters chose the intersection to shut down because it is nearby the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency’s Miramar office, where criminal illegal aliens, human traffickers, and drug smugglers are arrested and detained.

In interviews with CBS Miami, the illegal alien activists said they wanted the ICE facility shut down.
“We want ICE abolished because this center right here has been criminalizing, has put families, has put more children at risk under this heat as for them to stand there and not have basic human rights and it’s ridiculous that this institution continues to stand here in a community where neighborhoods and families are,” one activist said.
“We’re trying to send a message that this isn’t the America that we want,” another abolish ICE protester said. “Even if people voted for this guy and even if according to the rules of how we elect our presidents, he won the election. This isn’t the America that we want.”
After police moved in following hours of the activists closing off the Florida intersection, more than a dozen of the protesters were arrested and released from prison the following day.

United We Dream is funded by a slew of social justice and open borders organizations, including Soros’ Open Society Foundation, which grants money to a number of pro-migration groups, like the Center for Popular Democracy.
The Democratic Party’s unofficial platform on immigration law has been to abolish ICE, though doing so would end all immigration enforcement across the United States.
As Breitbart News reported, abolishing ICE would have set free more than 1.4 million criminal illegal aliens over the last half decade who were in federal custody. A total of more than 1.6 million illegal aliens would have been released into American communities in the last five years, had ICE been abolished.
The latest Harvard/Harris Poll reveals that 3-in-4 swing voters oppose the Democrats’ plan to end all immigration enforcement across the U.S. by abolishing ICE. Overall, nearly 70 percent of Americans said they oppose abolishing ICE. Likewise, nearly 60 percent of Democrats said they do not want ICE to be disbanded.

Not too long ago we as a people could generally agree upon a certain set of core values. Today a smaller majority of the American people still believe in the US Constitution and many people are starting to lose focus on the things that really matter the most.
When did certain members of our society all of sudden become selective regarding the laws they wished to be enforced ?
When exactly did some US citizens lose their basic instinct for survival ?
Sadly, we now have a substantial force within the Democratic Party who currently advocate and even believe in wide open borders and illegal immigration. When did the acceptance of such a lawlessness become a norm ?When did the people who actually make it a point to stand up for the rule of law and who believe in securing our borders suddenly become the enemy ? Can a sovereign nation without a secure border, without a common language, and soon without a common culture survive?
The Democratic Party's leadership not too long ago believed illegal immigration was wrong (video). Why have their minds now suddenly shifted ? Has importing a new Democrat voter base into this nation become just too appealing an idea for them not to take advantage of? A voter base which would be beholden to big government from cradle to grave. A voting bloc of people that would cast their votes depending upon what government could provide them.
Most rational citizens understand that unfettered and unchecked illegal immigration is a recipe for disaster. Yet huge factions of the new radical leftist Democrats currently believe illegal immigration is some kind of noble cause involving social justice. Many within the current party leadership have become all too willing to completely toss away the former US immigration melting pot model and happily replace it with a new "salad bowl" model.
Reality and history have proven to all of us that a nation simply we cannot safely absorb relentless waves of unassimilated immigration and expect to survive. Illegal immigrants bring with them so many different languages and cultures, and many of them have no desire to assimilate or learn the English language. Diversity is not always necessarily a strength. Change is not always a positive thing. Illegal immigrants who refuse to assimilate and learn our language are placing a heavy burden upon us.
Illegal aliens who are willing to work for extremely low wages are helping to eliminate the US blue collar middle class. These illegal aliens currently flooding the US labor force are driving down the wages of American workers. I am sick of hearing the line, "Americans are not willing to do those jobs." In reality Americans would be willing to do those jobs, but obviously not for slave wages.
Illegal immigration is placing an enormous financial burden upon our health care system. It has become common place for illegal aliens to use the emergency rooms of US hospitals as their personal doctors. This inevitably drives up the cost of healthcare for all of us.
A decade-and-a-half ago, a former liberal Democrat named Dick Lamm gave a prophetic five minute speech on how a nation like America could easily self-destruct. The former governor of Colorado was issuing a warning to all of us in the United States who were willing to listen. Lamm unveiled a chilling point by point hypothetical plan on how to destroy America through the immigration process. Every citizen within this country should consider listening to this five minute audio clip and hear the chilling prophetic words of Lamm ring out so loud and true today.
A nation that makes allowances for illegal immigration, especially without any significant time for assimilation, eventually becomes a nation under invasion, something which then eventually results in colonization.
The rule of law becomes a moot point when corrupt agenda-driven politicians within the government get to pick and choose the laws they wish to be enforced. When this type of selective law enforcement is facilitated, our country becomes nothing more than a banana republic.
The many remaining law-abiding citizens, along with Republican politicians, need to start adamantly calling out the Democrats for their irrational supportive stance regarding illegal immigration. We all need to confront the radical Democrats head on. They are the party whose senior members have the audacity to lecture and virtue signal conservatives on how evil and uncaring we have all become. Constantly painting those of us on the right as the bad guys. Simply because we conservatives dare to hold our American sovereignty sacred and know our borders need to become more safe and secure. All the rational people within this country are demanding the immigration process be a legal and closely monitored one.
Immigration could be a winning issue for Republicans in November. But they need to hammer this issue home with courage and fortitude, not backing down for fear of being called a racist or xenophobe. If the Republicans expect to win in November, they need to highlight all the negatives of uninterrupted waves of illegal immigration. A non-stop flow of illegal immigration being shoved down our throats by the Democrats and their puppet media.
We conservatives all need to stand as one with President Trump and affirm his policies regarding immigration. Trump's immigration plan adheres to basic common sense. Trump is putting individual American citizen's lives above political correctness, and this is making us all safer.
Illegal immigration has become the catalyst for big changes in this country. Changes within a nation which inevitably become irreversible if we fail to act. Change for the sake of change is a most dangerous thing.
An America that ignores the problems that come attached to open borders and illegal immigration is doomed for destruction. A citizenry which no longer believes in the rule of law and which pays lip service to our US Constitution is no longer free. A people who are no longer willing to hold their leaders accountable in regard to enforcing the rule of law, eventually become enslaved within a tyranny.

Why write this book now?
I actually started in 2002 with a research grant to begin piecing together my family history. I was a college senior, the first from my family to go to college, and the campus environment had opened my eyes about my family’s disadvantages as rural laborers. Later, as a journalist, I gravitated toward covering economics, class, and rural issues. Over the years, the book coalesced as an integration of my family’s private stories with my professional understandings of public policies and realities. That’s another way of saying, I didn’t write it because of the 2016 election.
What role did being female play in your breaking the poverty cycle?
Social mobility is more difficult for women or any group that’s been historically marginalized. I tried to make clear the strides and sacrifices made by the women before me, reaching back several generations, that gave me more of a chance than they had. It’s a story about a family and society rather than some individual triumph.
What’s the biggest challenge of poverty?
Someone who works at a computer with time to mess around on Twitter might not understand that the constant, grueling labor many people do to survive can preclude you from political engagement or awareness. So one serious challenge is lack of civic agency required to change the system that harms you. If you have a dream, it’s hard keeping it alive when the vast majority of energy is required just to live.
You addressed this book to your inner child, or “unborn spirit.” Why?
It made me nauseous to think about someone reading it. I knew from publishing personal essays that this feeling means you’ve hit on something true. The direct address wasn’t contrived for the book, but rather reflects my experience growing up and actually having this private dialogue. When some pieces of the book weren’t quite clicking together, I added that very intimate and unique thing about my psyche. It let the reader in and transformed the narrative.
Has shame prevented a social movement by poor people?

They Destroyed Our Country
“They knew Obama was an unqualified crook; yet they promoted him. They knew Obama was a train wreck waiting to happen; yet they made him president, to the great injury of America and the world. They understood he was only a figurehead, an egomaniac, and a liar; yet they made him king, doing great harm to our republic (perhaps irreparable.)”
As the Democratic Party continues to scrum ahead of the 2018 midterm elections – and ultimately the 2020 presidential election – Democrats of all stripes are eager to see who will be squeezed out of the pack and step up to articulate some kind of unified Progressive vision to challenge the Trump presidency.
Yet, even at this late date, Democrats appear rudderless and out of ideas – still clinging to their relentless intifada of resistance to shake off Donald Trump's occupation of the American government. As this approach hasn't proven to be an altogether winning strategy, recently, the DNC brain trust announced their intention to enlist the advice of Hollywood writers, directors, and producers to craft Tinseltown-style messaging in the hope of generating Democratic victories. Given the four-letter tirades of Robert De Niro, the vulgar tweets of Peter Fonda, the nightly broadsides of talk show hosts, and the rallying cries and rants of entertainment elites everywhere, the Hollywood message is loud and clear and can be reduced to two words: F--- you!
What Democrats don't seem to understand is that Hollywood is not a "messaging" apparatus, nor is parading Trump-hating celebrities into the spotlight a winning substitute for a clear enunciation of what the Democratic Party stands for and whom it represents. Let us not forget the bawdy conga line of Hollywood royalty who stepped up noisily during Hillary's 2016 campaign – and delivered nothing. Employing a "long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." approach to a TV political ad or get-out-the-vote appeal bereft of a lucid, straightforward liberal message is, as former Democratic Texas governor Ann Richards once remarked, like this: "you can put lipstick on a hog and call it Monique, but it is still a pig."
The truth is, the Democrats have no message. There is no vision. There is no agenda. There is no Democratic counter to "Make America Great Again." Nor is there a leader to voice such a vision and stamp it with his imprimatur if there were one.
And therein lies the rub. Who is the leader of the Democratic Party? Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Perez, Ellison, Sanders, Clinton, Gillibrand, Feinstein, Warren, Durbin, Booker, Waters? This is a motley crew, to say the least, and hardly visionaries, and nary a one who has an electable, national cachet that can inspire transformative change.
Curiously, one name is absent: the Democrat who is the architect of the American anti-capitalist movement and the godfather of the ongoing anti-Trump resistance – former president Barack Obama.
Make no mistake: Barack Obama is still the supreme head of the Democratic Party, and his radical reconfiguring of America remains the sole Democratic vision: redistribution of wealth through vilification and increased taxation of the rich; control of America's production through executive orders and regulations; expansion of the welfare state through entitlements, identity politics, and social realignment; foreign policy through apology and appeasement; and economic equality through racial enmity and class conflict.
Since his college days and perhaps even before, Obama has doggedly sought to reconstruct America from an individual rights-based society where government is answerable to moral law to a left-wing, European-style social state where the individual and his achievements are subordinate to the collective good and the authority of government. According to Stanley Kurtz, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and author of Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism, "Obama has made concerted efforts to hide his socialist convictions from the voters who put him in office. Had the American public known the truth, Obama would never have risen to the U.S. Senate, much less the presidency. That sort of systematic deception corrodes democracy itself."
Or as Jonah Goldberg characterized it in the National Review after Obama's first term, "[t]he president thinks America would be better off if it was no longer America."
To achieve that end, what better fuel to run his collectivist engine than on America's greatest sin: racism? In speech after speech at home and abroad (so much for politics stopping at the water's edge); in Rose Garden press conferences with foreign dignitaries; even at the dais of the United Nations, President Obama rarely missed an opportunity to portray America as a place stained with bigotry, injustice, and discrimination. Along the way, he managed to slander and discredit virtually every institution in our society – the police system, the criminal justice system, the educational system, the economic system, the judicial system, the corporate system, not to mention racist malignancies in employment, opportunity, housing, entertainment, sports...even the words we use.
As a result, the Obama Vision has wrought an America deeply fractured along political and racial lines with a measure of animus not seen since the 1950s – an America where racial and ethnic identity are the primary elements to an individual's self-worth and sense of himself. In the media's frantic downhill race to out-rage each other over Trump, there's no bottom. Charles M. Blow, the Cory Booker of media columnists, desperately tried to justify his job with this ridiculous column aimed right at the nerve center of the resistance's id.

That's like a parody of a column like this. In an election, as in a trial, the outcome depends less on a weighing up of all the issues and more on which issues the electorate focuses on. Succeed in getting the electorate to focus on the most positive achievement of one's own party, and on the most loathsome feature of the opposition, and coast to victory. Not necessarily in that order, and not necessarily of equal value.
As to President Trump's greatest accomplishment, the economy, economic growth, and the jobs figures lead the pack by a mile.
As to the loathsomeness of the Dems, their increasingly unhinged stands on immigration are equally clearly in first place.
Trump won the nomination and the presidency on the voters' belief that this guy, at last, was someone who meant what he said on immigration. He, and the Republican Party, can hold the House and the Senate if they focus the electorate's attention on the Dems' immigration lunacy, and then, secondarily, on the president's amazing economic results.
On immigration, the Dems' agenda has become a smorgasbord of electoral emetics that only needs to be served up to American voters to produce a collective gag that will be heard round the country.
I think back to Lee Atwater in 1988, who single-handedly turned the Bush campaign around with a masterful TV ad. Magnificent political advocacy, which drew attention away from Bush's deficiencies and redirected it to the odiousness of the Dems.
The same brass knuckles approach Atwater used beckons again, on the Dems' suicidal positions of abolishing ICE; open borders for criminals, terrorists, and drug-dealers; and sanctuary cities. All positions despised by 75% of the electorate.
America's now hard left party is locked into these positions, and they're not just the Dems' "fringe." See the California Dems' executive committee's endorsement of the lunatic Kevin de León over incumbent Dianne Feinstein. See New York senator Gillibrand's mandatory metamorphosis from moderate to open borders whacko.
This is who the Democratic Party is. The case must be made that a vote for any so-called "moderate Dem" is a vote for the party's destructive national agenda on immigration – an agenda despised by large majorities.
Atwater-like ads on all this stuff could open huge wounds on the electoral support for the Ds' "blue wave" dreams across the country.
Montages of tattooed MS-13 members, hordes of shrieking demonstrators waving "Abolish ICE" and "No Borders" placards come to mind. Superimposed on the determined face of the president who's been struggling to stop it all, stirring music in the background. The Dems' compulsive wrist-slitting on immigration presents limitless theatrical and communicative possibilities.
Not to forget the gift that gives and gives, leftist harridan-in-chief and all-around advocate of violence, Maxine Waters. But Waters is only the seasoning. The Dems' irresistible impulse to suicide on immigration is the main course.
Is the Republican Party working on this rich and diverse material now? If not, why not?
But: I'm haunted by, among other things, McCain's statement early in the 2008 race that Obama's associations (Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and the rest) would be off limits. I knew then that he would lose big. And that he didn't deserve to win.
Will Bushie-McCain niceness prevail again, or this time, does the Republican Party want to win?
Will the Republican Party imprint the Dems' immigration madness on the forehead of every Democratic congressional and senatorial candidate? Have they learned anything from the president's 2016 triumph?
It's hard to see how a mixture of the amazing list of President Trump's economic accomplishments, achieved under the constant fire of hysterical abuse, together with unceasing blunt reminders of the Dems' suicidal immigration policies, could fail.
As ever with Republicans, whether this campaign approach unfolds is a question of insight, desire, and guts. I'm not sure the Republican Party has any of these, let alone all three.
Sadly, we now have a substantial force within the Democratic Party who currently advocate and even believe in wide open borders and illegal immigration. When did the acceptance of such a lawlessness become a norm ? When did the people who actually make it a point to stand up for the rule of law and who believe in securing our borders suddenly become the enemy ? Can a sovereign nation without a secure border, without a common language, and soon without a common culture survive?
