Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said he was “certain” that Congress would look into President Donald Trump’s “personal motivations” on the Saudi Arabia issue given his continued support for the Saudis.
Trump’s gestures come despite Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman being blamed for the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Lee said, “I disagree with the president’s assessment. It’s inconsistent with the intelligence I’ve seen. Now look, I don’t have access to everything that the president sees. I’m not sure what he’s relying on. The intelligence I’ve seen suggests that this was ordered by the crown prince.”
On Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen, Lee said, “I think this is yet another indication that this unauthorized, unconstitutional war, from our standpoint, is not something that we ought to be fighting. This is not an ally that deserves this kind of military intervention. Especially because there’s been no connection between the safety of the American people and our involvement in this war.”
Host Chuck Todd asked, “Should Congress look into seeing if he’s got financial motivations into why he might be siding with the Saudis over the CIA?”
Lee said, “Look, I don’t know why he’s siding with the Saudis. But I think there are things we can do to change our relationship with the Saudis, notwithstanding whatever his personal motivations might be.”
He added, “I’m also certain that in the next Congress, people will look into that.”

BANKSTERS AND BILLIONAIRES
PREPARE FOR THE WORST.
REVOLUTION IS IN LOOMING AND
WILL MARCH RIGHT DOWN WALL STREET FIRST.
"A series of recent polls in the US and Europe have shown a sharp
growth of popular disgust with capitalism and support for socialism. In May of
2017, in a survey conducted by the Union of European Broadcasters of people
aged 18 to 35, more than half said they would participate in a “large-scale
uprising.” Nine out of 10 agreed with the statement, “Banks and money rule the
world.”

"The
ruling class was particularly terrified by the teachers’ walkouts earlier
this year because the biggest strikes were organized by rank-and-file
educators in a rebellion against the unions, reflecting the weakening grip
of the pro-corporate organizations that have suppressed the class struggle
for decades."

“The yearly income of a typical US household dropped by a massive 12 percent, or $6,400, in the six years between 2007 and 2013. This is just one of the findings of the 2013 Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Finances released Thursday, which documents a sharp decline in working class living standards and a further concentration of wealth in the hands of the rich and the super-rich.”

"The American
phenomenon of record stock values fueling an ever greater concentration of
wealth at the very top of society, while the economy is starved of
productive investment, the social infrastructure crumbles, and working
class living standards are driven down by entrenched
unemployment, wage-cutting and government austerity policies, is part of
a broader global process."

THE TRUMP AND SON-IN-LAW’S REFINANCING SCAMS???

"I doubt that Trump understands -- or cares about
-- what message he's sending. Wealthy Saudis, including members of the extended
royal family, have been his patrons for years, buying his distressed properties
when he needed money. In the early 1990s, a Saudi prince purchased Trump's
flashy yacht so that the then-struggling businessman could come up with cash to
stave off personal bankruptcy, and later, the prince bought a share of the
Plaza Hotel, one of Trump's many business deals gone bad. Trump also sold an
entire floor of his landmark Trump Tower condominium to the Saudi government in
2001."
THE (REALITY) OF THE DEMOCRAT
PARTY:
Anti-Semitic, open borders for
cheaper labor and funded by criminal banksters… and these pols are making vast
fortunes sucking the blood of America!
We must not let them cheat their
way to power over the rest of us. Their ongoing vote fraud must be
stopped and the Democrats need to take a look at themselves and at what they
have become. It's not a pretty picture. What they have become
threatens to destroy the greatest nation on the planet and they are doing it on
purpose. They have nothing but contempt for the US as founded and
for those of us who love this country. PATRICIA McCARTHY – AMERICAN THINKER
“Then we suffered the rattling election of
Barack Obama, whose active membership in a white-, Jewish-, and America-hating
church was well known to the electorate. His close personal
relationship with the likes of his adored Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Louis
Farrakhan was no secret. Obama was open about his
goals. He told us he was out to "fundamentally transform
America" and the world.” ALAN BERGSTEIN
“There is a deep racist and anti-Semitic disease in the leadership of
the Democrats. As Senator Cory Booker brings his hatred for the Jewish State to
the Senate, he should be asked whether he agrees with his hero, “The only good Zionist
is a dead Zionist we must take a lesson from Hitler”. DANIEL GREENFIELD

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) suggested that the Senate needed to consider further action against Saudi Arabia given the allegations Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was responsible for the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Partial transcript as follows:
BASH: I want to ask you about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. The president is standing by Saudi Arabia, even though his own CIA has assessed that the Saudi crown prince at least knew about the murder. I talked to some of your Republican Senate colleague this is weekend who say they’ll be demanding congressional action. will you?ERNST: I do think we need to look into this further and we need to understand where the investigations are leading us. I’m anxious to hear from a number of our intelligence agencies on this. Now, Saudi Arabia is a great strategic partner for us. It is an important country when it comes to the Middle Eastern region. We know that. They are a great projection platform for us. We understand that. however, human rights, we also are a very strong nation when it comes to human rights and the rule of law. And if there are indicators that the prince was involved in this murder, then we need to absolutely consider further action. So I would tend to be with my colleagues on this issue, understanding Saudi Arabia great strategic importance to us however we are a country that believes in human rights.BASH: Does it concern you that the president seems to be giving the Saudis a pass?ERNST: I wouldn’t say he is necessarily giving them a pass. Again, because they are such an important ally in that region. however, I think at such a time when it becomes necessary, the president also needs to speak directly to the Saudis and say enough is enough. And if there are indicators coming from those intelligence agencies, he also needs to be involved in some sort of action.
Brooks: Trump’s Khashoggi Statement ‘a Gigantic Demotivator’ for Military

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks criticized President Trump’s statement on Saudi Arabia and Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi as “a gigantic demotivator for anybody who’s going to serve in the military, anybody who’s going to serve our government overseas.”
Brooks said people serve in government and the military “because they basically believe in the values of the country and they want to spread those values. And if you have a nakedly realistic politic — obviously, every president makes some calculations, but this is naked. This is naked. We don’t care about values. We care about money. That’s a gigantic demotivator for anybody who’s going to serve in the military, anybody who’s going to serve our government overseas. And that, to me, is why the realpolitik never actually works as a foreign policy. Because you can’t mobilize people behind anything.”

Dem Rep Gallego: Trump’s Khashoggi Statement Saying ‘The US Is For Sale’
0:57
On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) argued President Trump’s statement on Saudi Arabia and Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi is a statement that “the United States is for sale,” if you have economic control or “if the president has business with you.”
Gallego stated, “Well, what it really says around the world is that the United States is for sale, both the country as a whole, if somehow you have a grasp on our economy like the Saudis do when it comes to oil prices, and, number two, that the country is also for sale if the president has business with you. We know the president does have business with Saudi Arabia. He bragged about it during the election. He has talked about it in the past.”

Finland, Denmark And Germany Stop Arm Sales To Saudi Arabia After Khashoggi’s Death
Meanwhile, other countries have taken steps to block future arms sales with the regime over the killing and its war in Yemen, which has killed thousands, including children, and left millions at risk of starvation.
In a televised interview on Thursday, Denmark’s foreign minister, Anders Samuelsen, called the Saudi regime “destructive in many fields” and said it was halting exports of military equipment because of “the continued worsening of the already terrible situation in Yemen and the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.”
Samuelsen said he hoped “the Danish decision can create further momentum and get more European Union countries to support tight implementation of the E.U.’s regulatory framework in this area,” according to the Associated Press.
