On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Representative Jim Himes (D-CT) said Democrats are “heading into a messy early January” due to the battle over whether House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will be the speaker.
Himes said, “Well, you know, we’re heading into a messy early January. Because it would appear from that letter, that this group has enough members to prevent Nancy Pelosi, who will get the majority of the caucus vote to be the speaker, from actually becoming the speaker on the floor.”
He continued, “[T]here’s a whole conversation to be had about whether the Democratic leadership is changing fast enough. … That’s a very fair conversation to have, but I’ve been encouraging people I know on that letter to ask themselves, you know, what — then what’s the plan? You know, no one has emerged to challenge Nancy Pelosi, which would be the right way to actually set up a leadership race. And do they imagine that if they prevent her, as maybe they can, from becoming speaker, whoever is behind Nancy Pelosi in that instance comes in to a unified caucus?”
Himes further stated, “So, anyway, I — we’ll see how this all plays out. There’s a lot of time between now and the new year’s, when we’re taking this vote. But it does seem to me that this is, I guess the right analogy is, this is a pretty ugly game of chicken that is being set up, in a way that could damage something that I think needs to be really, really supported, which is Democratic unity.”
Himes also refused to make a public commitment on whether or not he’ll support Pelosi until the New Democrat Coalition talks to all leadership candidates.

McALLEN, Texas—Not content with watching from afar, a group of mothers headed to the U.S.–Mexico border to see firsthand the new border security measures being put in place with help from the U.S. military.
The trip to McAllen, Texas, was organized by Moms for America (MFA), a nonprofit founded in 2004 as HomeMakers for America.
“Protecting our borders is something of grave concern to mothers on both sides of the border,” MFA President Kimberly Fletcher said in a statement. “No one is covering the moms’ view in the news. No one is even asking moms what they think about the ‘caravan’ or how it affects the women and children on the other side of the border.”
Currently, several caravans of thousands of migrants are traveling through Mexico with the hope of entering the United States and claiming asylum. At least 75 percent of the caravan members are male; many of them likely will not be eligible for asylum and may try to sneak in illegally.
Mary Ann Mendoza, whose son was killed by an illegal alien in Mesa, Arizona, was invited to McAllen, along with several mothers who live near the border and deal with the effects of illegal immigration every day.
“The thing about the mothers who gathered this weekend—it’s not only about the loss of lives, it’s about the survivors of illegal alien crime and it’s about preventing this from happening to one more American citizen,” Mendoza said on Nov. 5.
Her son, Brandon Mendoza, was a sergeant with the Mesa Police Department when he was killed in a head-on collision by an illegal alien who was drunk, high on meth, and speeding. He was 32.
Raul Silva-Corona, the illegal alien who killed Brandon, had been convicted of crimes in Colorado in 1994, but failed to show up in court and ended up in Arizona.
“That’s kind of what spurred me into this fight,” Mendoza said. “We’ve got to stop this continual invasion; this repeat invasion of known criminals who keep coming back into our country.”
Mendoza said she often has to reply to critics that say her son could have just as easily been killed by a U.S. citizen.
“He could have been, but he wasn’t,” she said. “He was killed by an illegal criminal who was allowed to stay in our country and commit more crimes. The acceptable amount of illegal-alien crime in America is zero. Zero. I don’t care what statistics you throw at me … the only acceptable number of crimes committed by illegals is zero.”
Mendoza has spent some time at the Arizona border, where hundreds of miles of the U.S.–Mexico border is separated by a flimsy barbed-wire fence, but she was shocked to see that a river, the Rio Grande, was the only barrier between the two countries in Texas.
“I mean this small area of razor wire is the first that we’ve seen anything that’s been secured,” she said, pointing to the concertina wire that had been installed by the U.S. military the day before.
Holding up a poster of her next to her son’s headstone, she said: “I just want to let my fellow Americans know, this is what permanent separation looks like. I will never be able to hold my son, I will never be able to tell him ‘I love you’ … I can’t make a phone call to him. I am permanently separated from him, and the cemetery is the only place I have to go to visit him.”
“I do not want one more American family to be affected the way that my family has been or my community.”
‘It’s a Shame’
Lynne Ryan heard about the trip and traveled from western Pennsylvania to find out more. She said she felt well-versed about the situation at the border until she saw it for herself.
“You listen to these mothers who can’t let their kids go outside and play—it’s a shame,” she said. “You go through these neighborhoods, and there’s fences all around the yards. … They’ve got dogs and cameras and security lights.”
Ryan said the group of mothers was touring the border near a school the day before, when two males came over and tried to blend in with the group. After the group discovered that the men were from Central America and had just crossed the border illegally, one of the women called Border Patrol, who came and apprehended the men.
“I’m not saying that everybody that comes into our country has nefarious reasons, but if you come in illegally, my assumption is that you have nefarious reasons, or you would be coming in through the legal ports of entry,” Ryan said.
“I open my arms gladly for people to come here legally. I love the melting pot that makes this country great. It’s what we were founded on. But to allow criminality to just … swim across the river and come illegally. It’s got to stop.
“People have lost their loved ones over this. How many more people have to die before we address this properly?”
Tijuana Overwhelmed
Currently, about 2,400 migrants, mostly Hondurans from the first caravan, have gathered in Tijuana, Mexico. Most are camped at a municipal sports complex near the U.S. border. Several residents of Tijuana said on Nov. 16 that the locals are getting fed up with the trash being left in their city and the violence caused by some of the migrants.
Two women and several children crossed through the bars of the fence at Playas de Tijuana on Nov. 16, according to local police.
The group walked over to Border Patrol agents to be processed. The fence along the beach has since had concertina wire installed on it by U.S. Marine Corps engineers to prevent people from walking through and climbing over.
Large, Organized Groups
President Donald Trump has been outspoken about the caravan and the fact that most of its members are men.
“Isn’t it ironic that large Caravans of people are marching to our border wanting U.S.A. asylum because they are fearful of being in their country—yet they are proudly waving … their country’s flag,” he wrote in a series of tweets on Nov. 16. “Can this be possible? Yes, because it is all a BIG CON, and the American taxpayer is paying for it!”
Trump issued a proclamation on Nov. 9, stating that anyone who crosses the border illegally will be ineligible to claim asylum.
Often, people will cross the southwest border illegally, with the intention of evading law enforcement, and if they happen to get caught, they often will claim asylum, despite having no basis for the claim.
However, unaccompanied minors are exempt from the proclamation, and other illegal border-crossers may still claim asylum under a different category that requires a higher burden of proof. Trump is trying to funnel asylum-seekers to ports of entry, rather than tying up border agents with processing them.
“The United States expects the arrival at the [southern] border between the United States and Mexico of a substantial number of aliens primarily from Central America who appear to have no lawful basis for admission into our country,” the presidential proclamation said. “They are traveling in large, organized groups through Mexico and reportedly intend to enter the United States unlawfully or without proper documentation and to seek asylum, despite the fact that, based on past experience, a significant majority will not be eligible for or be granted that benefit.”
Only 9 percent of Central Americans that pass an initial “credible fear” screening at the border are subsequently approved for asylum by an immigration judge.

Democrat Senator Kamala Harris of California, a former prosecutor and attorney general no less, tweeted last year: “An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.” She is wrong. Any alien who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers has committed an illegal act that carries criminal as well as civil penalties. It is no wonder that Senator Harris, who is considering a run for president in 2020, thinks that enforcement of U.S. immigration laws to ensure the security of the American people is somehow racist. Senator Harris displayed her utter contempt for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during a congressional hearing last week. She used a confirmation hearing for President Trump’s nominee to head ICE, its current acting director Ronald Vitiello, to place ICE on the same level as the Ku Klux Klan.
Senator Harris began her exercise in moral equivalence by asking Mr. Vitiello about a joke he had made three years ago referring to the Democratic Party, with its pro-segregationist past, as “neo-Klan.” Mr. Vitiello said in response that his joke had been inappropriate. When Senator Harris asked Mr. Vitiello to explain why he thought so, Mr. Vitiello replied that the KKK was “a domestic terrorist group” which “tried to use fear and force to change the political environment” based on “race and ethnicity.” However, Senator Harris was not just looking for an apology. In a display of crass sophistry, she tried to create a false comparison. She badgered Mr. Vitiello with questions seeking to equate the legitimate fears and anxieties stirred in minority communities by the KKK, an abhorrent hate group that peddles in racism, with illegal aliens’ fears of being apprehended by a government agency fulfilling its obligation to enforce the nation’s immigration laws. In Senator Harris’s mind, clearly identifiable government officers following the law in stopping and detaining people who are not supposed to be in this country in the first place are as much to be legitimately feared as white-robed Klansmen with a history of lynching and shooting African-Americans, burning crosses, and firebombing African-American churches.
As Fox News Channel’s Jeanine Pirro said in her brilliant “Opening Statement” segment last Saturday night, which she addressed to Senator Harris: “What you are doing is planting seeds of fear, resistance and resentment against ICE among people who have no right to come here, who have already broken our laws to get here. And they’re scared? People should be afraid when they violate our laws. The people though who should be afraid are innocent Americans at risk in sanctuary cities and states where illegals who are also criminals are given safe haven.”
Mr. Vitiello, a prior Border Patrol chief with more than 30 years of experience working in law enforcement and protecting the American people, did not take Senator Harris’s bait:
“HARRIS: [talking over Vitiello] Are you aware that there’s a perception -- are you aware that there’s a perception-
VITIELLO: I see no perception that puts ICE in the same category as the KKK. Is that what you’re asking me?
HARRIS: No, I’m very specific about what I’m asking you. Are you aware of a perception that the way that the discretion-
VITIELLO: [interrupting] I see no parallel.
HARRIS: I’m not finished.
VITIELLO: I see none.
HARRIS: I’m not finished. I’m not finished. Are you aware that there’s a perception that ICE is administering its power in a way that is causing fear and intimidation, particularly among immigrants and specifically among immigrants coming from Mexico and Central America? Are you aware of that perception?
VITIELLO: I do not see a parallel between the power and the authority that ICE has to do its job and the agents and officers who do it professionally and excellently with lots of compassion-
HARRIS: [interrupting] Sir, how can you be the head of an agency and be unaware of how your agency is perceived by certain communities?
VITIELLO: There’s a lot of perceptions in the media and in the public that are incorrect about the agency and what it does-
HARRIS: [interrupting] But the perception exists, would you agree, whether or not it’s correct? And wouldn’t you agree then that if that perception exists, there might need to be some work done to correct the perception?
VITIELLO: I do want to advocate for the workforce that the vital public safety mission that they have to protect the homeland [sic], and I think more people need to know how valuable they are to the society, so I agree with you on that.”
Senator Harris does not agree that ICE’s workforce performs a “vital public safety mission” in protecting the homeland. Quite the opposite. She said last June that, when it comes to ICE, “we need to probably think about starting from scratch." This Democrat senator from the sanctuary state of California declared that California "represents the future." She said she would not second guess the decision of Oakland’s mayor to warn illegal immigrants of an impending ICE raid because she respected mayors’ "estimation of what’s in the best interest of their constituents." Since when are illegal immigrants considered “constituents” of an elected official in the United States? Evidently, that is the direction Senator Harris would like to see for the whole country since she believes that California “represents the future.”
Last week Senator Harris introduced a bill that would weaken ICE’s ability to engage in civil immigration enforcement actions that her bill deemed to be “inappropriate.” Her bill would prohibit ICE from using information obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services regarding suspected illegal aliens who are proposed sponsors or custodians of unaccompanied alien children. The bill would also transfer millions of dollars appropriated for fiscal year 2019 that ICE is to use for enforcement and removal operations to other programs, including $180,000,000 “to the Office of Refugee Resettlement to provide the post-release legal, case management, and child advocate services.” Senator Harris also introduced the Detention Oversight Not Expansion (DONE) Act last May which, among other things, would halt funds for construction or expansion of new detention facilities. She has said that we must be “welcoming” to the migrant caravans, while also supporting the release into U.S. communities of unvetted immigrant families seeking asylum.
Senator Harris has written a book entitled “The Truths We Hold: An American Journey,” which is scheduled to be published in January 2019. She should ponder some simple but fundamental truths as she considers embarking on her own journey she hopes will take her to the White House. The United States is a nation of laws, which includes the nation’s immigration laws enacted by Congress, not ICE. The U.S. government’s duly constituted immigration officers enforce the laws that Congress has passed and kept in force against aliens entering or trying to enter the country illegally. ICE agents also combat human trafficking and the import and distribution of illegal drugs into the United States. ICE agents owe their allegiance to the people lawfully residing in the United States they are supposed to protect, not to illegal aliens who may pose a danger to law-abiding Americans.
Finally, Senator Harris should consider the question of fundamental fairness to those immigrants who have played by the rules. Why should aliens who want to jump the line and enter the United States illegally be welcomed to this country as much as those immigrants who have respected this country’s laws? When Senator Harris reminisces how her parents took her to civil rights marches as a child, she should also remember the example her parents set in emigrating to the United States the right way. She dishonors her parents’ example by giving cover to illegal aliens and hurling disgraceful insults at the brave law enforcement agents of ICE.

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents continue to find illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who cross the border from Mexico. During a 12-hour period beginning on Saturday evening, six Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in two separate incidents.
Agents assigned to the Laredo South Border Patrol Station came upon a group of four suspected illegal immigrants while patrolling near Masterson Road in Laredo, Texas, on Saturday. The agents conducted interviews as part of Laredo Sector line watch operations. The questioning revealed the four young men were Bangladeshi nationals, according to Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.
The following morning, Laredo South Station agents carrying out line watch operations came upon another group of two suspected illegal immigrants walking near Oleander Street in Laredo. An interview with the subjects revealed the young men to also be Bangladeshi who were smuggled into the U.S., officials reported.
In an incident on October 29, Laredo South Station agents patrolling along the Rio Grande River rescued a group of Bangladeshi nationals as they attempted to cross the river, Breitbart News reported. Two of the migrants nearly drowned before agents were able to pull them into their boat.
During the month of October, the first month of the new fiscal year, Laredo Sector agents apprehended at least 75 Bangladeshi nationals. This represents an increase of more than 10 percent over October 2017.
During FY2018, which ended on September 30, Laredo Sector agents apprehended 668 Bangladeshi migrants — up nearly 270 percent over the previous year’s total. The sector led the nation in the apprehension of these migrants who paid up to $27,000 each to be moved into the U.S. by cartel-connected human smugglers.
“In Fiscal Year 2018, Laredo Sector Border Patrol experienced an unprecedented increase in the apprehension of nationals from the country of Bangladesh,” Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez told Breitbart News earlier this month. “The almost 300% increase in arrests of Bangladeshi nationals over the previous fiscal year highlights the hard work and vigilance of the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol. We will continue to work with our federal and international partners to share information to stop the flow of those who seek to unlawfully circumvent our nation’s immigration policies.”
Hundreds of miles of open river border in South and Central Texas make the area a prime human smuggling corridor for Mexican cartels.

ONLY A FOOL WOULD BELIEVE TRUMP TRULY WANTS THE WALL! Donald Trump Hits a Congressional Wall on Border Wall FundingGOP senators are nudging President Donald Trump to give up hopes for a $5 billion down-payment on a border wall in 2019.
“My goal is to get the [budget] bills passed” in December, said Sen. Richard Shelby, the GOP chairman of the Senate’s appropriations committee, said Nov. 15 after meeting Trump for a budget discussion. His committee has penciled in $1.6 billion for the wall in 2019, compared to the $5 billion in the draft House bill. Shelby added, according to the Washington Post:

House and Senate GOP leaders show no willingness to lead a public fight for wall funding as the Central American caravan’s economic migrants gather in Tijuana before crossing into California. But several Senate and House GOP leaders are pushing the president to sign a crime bill that will provide an early release to thousands of violent criminals and drug smugglers amid a national drug-disaster which has killed 100,000s of Americans.
Democrats have enough votes and discipline in the Senate to block any budget deal, but they may want to avoid a budget clash and government shutdown so that they may endorse another $1.6 billion budget in 2019. The allocation would push Trump’s border-wall spending up to a total of $4.8 billion from 2017 to 2019.
But Democrats are opposing Trump’s push for $5 billion in wall funding in 2019.
“If it’s ‘Wall or nothing!’ they’re going to get nothing,” the top Democrat on the Senate’s appropriations bill, Sen. Patrick Leahy, said November 12.
Democratic lobbyists predict their party will gain in 2020 from a 2018 impasse. The Hill reported:
Democratic leader Sen. Chuck Schumer is signaling he will approve a status-quo wall-building budget of $1.6 billion for 2019.
But he is also hinting that he may demand a price, such as accelerated green cards for roughly 400,000 Indian and Chinese white-collar visa-workers plus their family members. The green card plan was put in the House’s draft DHS budget for by Kansas Rep. Kevin Yoder, who subsequently lost his reelection campaign.
If Schumer demands a price for the $1.6 billion, he will be pressuring Trump to trade a series of wage-cutting amnesty concessions in exchange for a wall that cannot stop catch-and-release for the migrants who simply ask for asylum.
The GOP’s business-first leaders are offering minimal support to Trump’s wall, just as they have avoided Trump’s pro-American immigration agenda since November 2016. Since 2016, GOP leaders have tacitly conceded to Democratic demands on migration to help ease the passage of business priorities, such as the tax cut and the confirmation of conservative judges.
“I can’t imagine, with all the things that we have to do here to wrap up this Congress, that we would revisit immigration, but who knows?” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said November 7.
Third-ranking GOP leader Sen. John Thune managed to show even less enthusiasm for border wall funding, according to The Hill:
In contrast, GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham is enthusiastically pushing for a business-backed, DACA-amnesty-for-small-wall deal during the December lame-duck session. According to the Washington Examiner:
A DACA amnesty would likely put three million younger illegal aliens in the voting booth by 2028 and invite a subsequent chain migration of several million additional migrants.
From 2012 to 2014, Graham organized and pushed the “Gang of Eight” amnesty which intentionally tried to flood the labor market and so shift more of the nation’s annual income from workers to investors. For example, his amnesty bill also allowed an unlimited number of foreign-born college-graduates to get green cards and allowed presidents and border officials to provide asylum to an unlimited number of migrants.
In the House, GOP leader Rep. Tom Cole is also pushing the investor-boosting DACA-for-wall deal — even though the DACA amnesty would add at least three million Latinos to the voting rolls during the next decade.
Some House legislators are also backing a series of expanded visa worker programs that would cut wages for white-collar graduates, blue-collar laborers, and farm workers.
Washington’s economic policy of using migration to boost economic growth shifts wealth from young people towards older people by flooding the market with cheap white-collar and blue-collar foreign labor. That flood of outside labor spikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees.
The policy also drives up real estate prices, widens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least five million marginalized Americans and their families, including many who are now struggling with opioid addictions.
Immigration also pulls investment and wealth away from heartland states because coastal investors can more easily hire and supervise the large immigrant populations living in the coastal states.
‘Enough, Enough, Enough’: Australia Ready to Slash Migrant Intake

A major cut in Australia’s migrant intake has been promised by Prime Minister Scott Morrison who says the country’s major cities have buses, trains and schools that “are full.”
Mr. Morrison delivered a speech in Sydney on Monday night pledging he heard voters who are concerned about the human tide flooding the nation’s major capital cities, including Sydney and Melbourne.
“Population growth has played a key role in our economic success. But I also know Australians in our biggest cities are concerned about population,” he said.
“They are saying ‘Enough, enough, enough’. The roads are clogged, the buses and trains are full. The schools are taking no more enrolments. I hear what you are saying. I hear you loud and clear.”
The Sydney Morning Herald reports Mr. Morrison will now ask state leaders to create their own population plans and will address issue at the next Council of Australian Governments meeting on December 12.
“The old model of a single, national number determined by Canberra is no longer fit for purpose,” Mr Morrison said.
“My approach will be to move away from top-down discussions about population to set our migration intake caps. I anticipate that this will lead to a reduction in our current migration settings.”
The leader of the conservative Liberal coalition government cited the cost/benefit of allowing migrants to move to major cities against the stress that places on existing infrstructure. It is an observation previously made by critics of Australia’s mass immigration programme:
“Here in Sydney migrants accounted for around 70 per cent of population growth last year,” Mr. Morrison said.
“This has created its own pressure points – and pressure points in population always manifest themselves in housing and infrastructure.”
Mr. Morrison’s move to address migrant inflows comes as Australian voter support for a lift in Muslim immigration collapsed in the wake of last week’s Islamic State-inspired terror attack in Melbourne.
According to a Fairfax Media Ipsos poll, support for an increase in Muslim immigration dropped from 23 percent to a bare 14 percent between October and November this year, the Australian Financial Review reports.
The latest changes being mooted could lower Australia’s overall annual immigration target from its cap of 190,000 down to less than 150,000.
This would conform with another poll published in June that showed most Australians want an end to mass immigration as the country’s soaring population is set to bounce above the 25 million mark.

Australian voter support for a lift in immigration of Muslims has collapsed in the wake of last week’s Islamic State-inspired terror attack in Melbourne.
According to a Fairfax Media Ipsos poll, support for an increase in Muslim immigration dropped from 23 percent to a bare 14 percent between October and November, the Australian Financial Review reports.
Just 35 percent of those polled believe the intake should stay the same. Another 46 percent believe the intake should be reduced a lot or a little – a position backed by a clear majority of supporters of the governing conservative coalition and one third of Labor voters.
The survey comes after the Bourke Street terror attack by Somali immigrant Hassan Khalif Shire Ali and amid growing calls from some conservative members of Parliament to slash migration from Muslim-majority nations.
Australia is a nation built on immigration and has historically opened its arms to people from around the world looking to start a new life Down Under.
Attitudes have been slowly shifting in the past seven years however, amid terrorist attacks and heightened political debate about migration, according to annual research by the Scanlon Foundation on social cohesion.
While 31.9 per cent of respondents said they had a positive attitude to Muslims in 2010, this slipped to 28.3 per cent in the Scanlon research in 2017. The proportion with a negative attitude rose from 23.5 per cent to 25 per cent, but there was no consistent year-on-year trend up or down over the period.
A little over 12 months ago another survey revealed a majority of Australian voters believe the country is full and almost half support a partial ban on new Muslim arrivals.
As Breitbart Jerusalem reported, the TAPRI poll outlined that 74 percent of respondents thought Australia did not need more people, with big majorities believing that population growth was putting “a lot of pressure” on hospitals, roads, affordable housing and jobs.
Fifty-four per cent wanted a cut to migration, while 55 percent agreed Australia “was in danger of losing its culture and identity”, and 52 percent said the country had changed so much that it sometimes felt foreign.
“Australian voters’ concern about immigration levels and ethnic diversity does not derive from economic adversity,” Betts and Birrell wrote in a report based on the survey.
“Rather, it stems from the increasingly obvious impact of population growth on their quality of life and the rapid change in Australia’s ethnic and religious make-up.”

Orange County, California — once considered a conservative holdout in the blue state — has been electorally swept by Democrats in the midterm elections, coinciding with the region’s booming foreign-born populations.
Until the midterm elections, four of Orange County’s six congressional districts were held by Republicans, including Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) and Rep. Mimi Walters (R-CA).
In the midterms, though, Democrats swept Orange County with wins in all six congressional districts, turning the region blue. At the same time of Democrat dominance in the county, the foreign-born population is booming to record levels with the majority of foreign residents arriving from Latin America and Asia.
California’s 46th District, already a Democrat-held congressional seat, has a foreign-born population that is now reaching 40 percent with four-out-of-ten residents being born outside the United States.
The other Democrat-held congressional seat in Orange County, California’s 47th District, has a foreign-born population of nearly 30 percent.
Three of Orange County’s four Republican districts that have flipped to Democrat have foreign-born populations that make up 25 percent or more of the region. For example, California’s 39th District — where Democrat Gil Cisneros won over Republican Young Kim — has a 34.1 percent foreign-born population.
In the 45th District, where Rep. Mimi Walters (R-CA) has conceded to Democrat Katie Porter, the foreign-born population makes up nearly 30 percent of the district.
Similarly, in the state’s 48th District, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) — the former speechwriter to President Ronald Reagan — lost to Democrat Harley Rouda after serving in the seat since 2013. That district’s foreign-born population is now near 25 percent.
Even in the 49th District, where the foreign-born population remains below 20 percent, Democrat Mike Levin beat out Republican Diane Harkey. The district has anywhere between an 18 to 19 percent foreign-born population with about 55 percent of foreign-born residents arriving from Latin America and nearly 30 percent coming from Asia.
As Breitbart News reported, districts with some of the largest foreign-born populations — like New York’s 14th, Minnesota’s 5th, and Massachusetts’ 7th District — elected some of the most far-left, open borders candidates to Congress.
As Breitbart News reported, Democrats have increasingly gained strongholds in congressional districts due to booming foreign-born populations.
The process known as “chain migration,” for example — whereby newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. with them — has imported more than nine million foreign nationals since 2005.
As Breitbart News reported, if chain migration is not ended — as President Donald Trump has demanded — the U.S. electorate will forever be changed, with between seven to eight million new foreign-born individuals being eligible to vote because of chain migration, and overall, an additional 15 million new foreign-born voters.
Every year the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million foreign nationals, with the vast majority deriving from family-based chain migration. In 2016, the legal and illegal immigrant population reached a record high of 44 million. By 2023, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that the legal and illegal immigrant population of the U.S. will make up nearly 15 percent of the entire U.S. population.

Democrat Corruption is a Clear and Present Danger to America
On November 6, it seemed the Republicans might hold their majority in the Senate and in the House. Sadly, they lost their majority in the House. The mystery is why so many Democrat candidates who are so obviously ethically challenged won in races that should not have even been close.
How and why do Democrats continue to vote for unqualified, dishonest candidates? Elizabeth Warren is a proven liar, a cheat who claimed Native American heritage in order to get a job at Harvard. Her baby, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, was her plan to wield control over all bank and non-bank institutions without Congressional interference. In short, she is a
Andrew Gillum, the left's choice to be Governor of Florida, is the failed mayor of Tallahassee. He remains under FBI investigation for corruption. Given the information about that investigation that has been released, he appears yet another greedy and corrupt Democrat pol in the Hillary Clinton mold. The stability of Tallahassee declined catastrophically under his leadership; crime and murder rose drastically.
Gillum sold out his city for money, and cries racism when confronted with his crimes. He should never have been the candidate for the Governor of Florida but the left cares only about race and power, not ethics or honor. For progressives, race trumps everything else, even character. If Gillum wins after the cheating Broward County is infamous for, Florida will suffer the slings and arrows that are inevitable under politicians like Gillum. Why was this race even close? Have half the nation's voters scuttled any semblance of traditional values in order to win? Yes.
Then there is Robert Menendez, the credibly accused pedophile senator of New Jersey. He should be in prison but was saved by one juror in his corruption trial with whom he partied after his win on November 6. Who votes for a man like this? There is plenty of proof that he took bribes from a wealthy client for numerous favors, trips to the Dominican Republic for sex with underage girls being one of them. But New Jersey just re-elected this man. They too have lost all sense of right vs. wrong.
Stacey Abrams, the still grasping gubernatorial contender in Georgia, is a hard-left, anti-capitalist, anti-Second Amendment candidate. She owes about $200K in credit card debt and wants to run Georgia? She too is corrupt and incompetent. She is also willing to cheat to win. Are Georgians ignorant of her many, many negatives? If they are, they voted for her anyway. Again, skin color trumps everything.
The left ignores fine men like John James, who ran for the House in Michigan against Debbie Stabenow. The left ignored Eddie Edwards who ran in New Hampshire. Both men are conservative African Americans. The American left today pretends such candidates do not exist. They have ignored fine people like James and Edwards as they have always ignored brilliant men like Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, Walter Williams, Jason Riley, and Larry Elder. They revile the brilliant Clarence Thomas. They don't like to be reminded of men like Frederick Douglass or Booker T. Washington. Neither of them, like Sowell, Steele, Williams and Elder ever promoted the idea that African Americans were or would be perennial victims. Each of them advocated for quite the opposite, for self-reliance and independence.
This notion of personal responsibility is anathema to today's left; they need and promote subservience and dependency among their flock of reliable but uninformed voters. This is why they encourage the immigration of so many millions of illegal migrants. They assume they will be able to win for them the right to vote. Judging by the number of them who likely voted in the midterms, their plan is succeeding.
This is how they will destroy America from within. The leftist billionaires who orchestrate these plans are extravagantly wealthy. Those tasked with representing us in Congress will never be exposed to the downside of the invasion of millions of migrants, the crime or the financial burden. They have nothing but contempt for those of us who must endure the consequences of our communities being intruded upon by gang members, drug dealers and human traffickers. These people have no intention of becoming Americans; like the Democrats who welcome them, they have contempt for us.
Then there is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the thoroughly-ignorant-of-everything candidate who won her district by 80%! This young woman knows nothing about how any government works, let alone ours. She is hopelessly uniformed; she knows even less about US history or the Constitution. She is clueless about the economy. When asked how she would pay for all the give-away programs she touts, she replied that that was a "puzzling question"! "You just pay for it" she answers. She has no idea; no idea about anything. She thinks she will be "inaugurated" to the House! Most fourth graders know more than she does about US history. And yet she is already thinking about running for President! This is a wholesale indictment of our politicized, dumbed-down system of education. Many of her constituents are immigrants; we are obviously not educating them at all. They voted for all the free stuff -- college, medical care, basic income, housing, that Ocasio-Cortez has promised to deliver. This is what socialist Democrats dream about: perpetual power over a populace too ignorant to rebel. American as founded is at grave risk.
In addition to ODasio-Cortez, Gillum, Ilhan Omar, Abrams, Sinema, who very likely cheated to take the Arizona Senate seat, there is Linda Sanchez. Kirsten Gillibrand is a Hillary clone; she only cares about her own political power. She speaks like a small child but is also considering a run for the presidency. She was best pals with Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein until they were politically inconvenient. Amy Klobuchar, who embraced the vicious and obviously false allegations against Judge Kavanagh, was re-elected! Like every other Democrat member of the judiciary committee, she knew those accusations were false, without a shred of corroboration, but her constituents re-elected her! Who are these voters? How do they reconcile voting for people willing to destroy a fine man for political purposes? She is exactly who every Democrat member of that committee is, who every member of the Democrat Party is: nothing more than power-hungry political operatives out to ruin any and all opponents by any means necessary. They are a clear and present danger to American as founded.
Young people are no longer taught the truth of American history. They are not taught the truth of the Holocaust. Anti-Semitism is acceptable, even promoted, by the Democrats. They embrace Linda Sarsour and Louis Farrakhan without shame. Young people don't know that communism killed over a hundred million people in the twentieth century. Their calculated-by-leftists ignorance is destroying our country. They try to sell the idea that gender is not a factor of biology! They attempt to convince young people that climate change is man-made (a travesty) and that global warming causes wild fires (a lie). Having control over academia, they have willfully brainwashed students for nearly two generations. Unless your children are a strong-willed, independent thinkers, do not send them to college!
How and why the American left has devolved into the kind of party one finds in a banana republic is a mystery. That our media is so anxious to promote their corrupt candidates and the low-brow tactics they employ is a tragedy. Do they do it because they can no longer win by promulgating their Orwellian vision of a socialist state, mandated equality of outcome? Perhaps. They will never sell socialism to enough sentient Americans to win. They need millions of uninformed voters to succeed.
We must not let them cheat their way to power over the rest of us. Their ongoing vote fraud must be stopped and the Democrats need to take a look at themselves and at what they have become. It's not a pretty picture. What they have become threatens to destroy the greatest nation on the planet and they are doing it on purpose. They have nothing but contempt for the US as founded and for those of us who love this country.

The best midterms that San Francisco donors could buy.

After President Trump took office, the Washington Post announced its new motto, “Democracy dies in darkness.” But it was the Washington Post, not Trump, that was guilty of undermining democracy.
President Trump had been legitimately elected by a majority of states. The Washington Post was an establishment paper in a government city owned by a dot com robber baron. There’s nothing more undemocratic than a paper owned by the richest man in the world working to overturn an election.
There was just as little democracy to the midterm elections in which wealthy donors from blue states and districts poured money into local races in red and purple states and districts. San Francisco and New York billionaires buying elections in Pennsylvania and Nevada is not democracy. It’s oligarchy.
American elected officials were meant to be elected by local communities to serve their needs. Instead the Left has nationalized local races by exploiting its cultural power. And when that didn’t produce the immediate results that it wanted, began overwhelming local elections with huge piles of outside cash.
The midterm elections were the best elections that San Francisco donors could buy.
Senate Democrats picked up $220 million in out-of-state donations these midterms. That huge pile of cash also amounted to sixty percent of their haul. The majority of Dem Senate cash came from donors who weren’t living in the states they were running in, but who were trying to buy elections for them.
That’s the Washington Post brand of democracy.
It’s not just Senate races being bought up by out-of-state donors. 45% of House Dem money came from out-of-state donors. And when they didn’t succeed in buying a local election the first time, they just kept on pouring in more money into a district until they got their way.
Last year, Democrats poured in $22.5 million into a special election in Georgia’s 6th congressional district. 95% of the donations came from out-of-state donors. Democrat Jon Ossoff received more donations from California than Georgia. Ossoff still lost to Rep. Karen Handel, even though her donations amounted to only a fraction of his ActBlue bucks.
But the same donors just waited a year and bought the seat for Lucy McBath in the midterms.
In October, Lucy McBath was appearing at the Writers Guild Theater in Los Angeles hosted by Hollywood royalty like Katzenberg, Tony Goldwyn and Cameron Crowe for a $500 a head fundraiser.
A large chunk of outside money behind McBath came from Michael Bloomberg. McBath touted his gun control positions and the New York billionaire’s front groups put $4.5 million behind his lackey.
There’s nothing democratic about Bloomberg buying the 6th the way he once bought Gracie Mansion.
In Illinois' 13th Congressional District, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan pulled in $1.7 million to Rep. Rodney Davis' $700K in a three month period. And then outside groups poured in nearly as much again in support of Londrigan. $300K of that money came from California.
In Nevada, out-of-state donors bought Jacky Rosen a senate seat. 85% of the radical lefty candidate’s donations came from outside the state. Of her 5 top donor zip codes, two were in New York, two in California, including Palo Alto, and the odd zip code out was in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
The media frequently airs complaints about how little political power New York and California have per capita compared to a handful of small states. These complaints are not only cynically specious, they ignore the fact that between the media’s messaging force multipliers and the bicoastal wealth being used to buy elections, political power has become as concentrated as economic and cultural power.
And that’s the opposite of democracy.
The midterms weren’t a populist wave. They were an angry tantrum by wealthy blue state donors who used their money to buy local elections as payback for having their views ignored in 2016. Instead of listening to the rest of the country, they set out to buy it, lock, stock and barrel. They found experts, consultants, strategists, programmers and organizers who would buy them other people’s elections.
Much of their money was wasted. Just ask Beto O’Rourke and his $70 million war chest. But their hysterical frenzy of spending made an undeniable impact. If you throw enough mud or money at an election, eventually it sticks. The Democrat raised nearly $1 billion to take the House.
And they took it.
$166.8 million was pumped into 30 House Democrat candidates. That’s compared to $90.7 million for the Republican candidates in those races.
The most expensive midterm elections in history paid off for Democrats. And there’s nothing democratic about that.
Democracy doesn’t die in darkness. It dies in the glare of lefty media, lefty money and lefty power which strip away local issues and local agency in Arizona, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Florida. Big blue state donors bought the midterm elections to send a message to President Trump. Many had been convinced by frenzied media hit pieces in papers like the Washington Post that action was desperately urgent.
When the Washington Post, the rest of the media and their long tail of ActBlue donors intervene in local elections, it doesn’t uphold democracy. It drowns it in the bright actinic glare of flashes and floodlights.
The media postures as a defender of democracy, but corporate media is more naturally a defender of establishments, of the nostrums and platitudes of the elites whom it serves and coddles. When it interferes in elections, it doesn’t do so for the sake of the people, but for the sake of its people.
Political elites mistrust the people and use the media to manipulate popular elections into endorsing their unpopular agendas. The mainstream media is an inherently undemocratic institution that amplifies elite voices at the expense of local communities. It claims to be democratic only because it reinterprets democracy to mean the political agendas of the Democrats rather than those of the people.
Lefties often misuse democracy to mean a set of values while actual democracy, the vox populi, is tarred as populism. But democracy isn’t a set of social issues. It’s the power shift between the voters and elected officials. Big media and blue state billionaires have shifted that balance away from local voters by buying local elections and seeking new voters when the old won’t vote their way.
If a few million in attack ads won’t influence local voters, you register new ones. If that doesn’t work, then you legalize felons. And if that won’t do it, there are the illegal aliens, and voter and ballot fraud. Buy a few secretary of state races. Set up housing for out-of-state college students. Sign up aliens to vote. And then even if the local voters don’t vote your way, it won’t matter. They’ll have been outvoted.
This isn’t democracy. But it is how Democrats have won some local races.
The shift away from local voters to a national political infrastructure is undemocratic. But it neatly fits into the larger leftist cause of centralizing all of politics (and all other areas of life) in elitist strongholds. The partnerships between elitist leaders and their local crony stakeholders act as a fig leaf for the dismantling of local autonomy with performative diversity replacing representational democracy.
The Democrats have waged an undemocratic war on democracy in the name of democracy. The midterms were the latest leftist coup against democracy. And democracy lost to the Left.

Class Conflict within the Democratic Party
Over many decades, the American Left, the Democratic Party and their mutual propaganda arm, the self-styled “mainstream media,” have successfully portrayed conservatives and the Republican Party as a coalition of the wealthy and intolerant. Further, the Democrats and the left have claimed that they are the true champions of the working or middle class as they unceasingly fight to defeat and marginalize this evil menace.
The reality, however, is that this cabal has virtually no interest in defending or aiding the working class as they are, in fact, the party of a bifurcated constituency: the wealthy and those dependent on the largess of the government.
America’s elites, now overwhelmingly represented by the Democratic Party, have a single overriding interest: their self-indulgent lifestyle. This is manifested in their mistaken belief that conservatives (i.e. the “right”) are hell bent on enforcing their version of morality on the nation, thus potentially calling into question the lifestyles of the rich and solipsistic.
The veracity of this claim is immaterial as it would require an element of deliberation not emotion -- a trait in extremely short supply among the nation’s privileged class, nearly all of whom have difficulty in generating an original thought due to the ill-education rampant in America’s universities. Thus, the mindless accusations of racism, misogyny and Fascism directed at the conservative rubes in middle America are acceptable, and in far too many instances believed, particularly as many had the temerity to vote for Donald Trump – who, although wealthy and Ivy League educated, is considered the ultimate unsophisticated rube.
As conservatives are the dominant force in the Republican Party and this nation cannot function politically with more than two major political parties, the alternative is the Democratic Party. An entity dominated by the American Left, an assemblage whose core philosophy is antithetical to the interests of the wealthy and privileged. Yet, determined to protect their lifestyles and vilify conservatives, they willingly ally with the left and overwhelmingly support virtually any Democratic candidate. In the recent 2018 mid-terms, Democratic House candidates outspent their Republican opponents by a two to one margin thanks primarily to this wealthy but myopic assemblage.
Their colleagues in the Democratic Party, and the preponderance of the membership, are those dependent on the largess of the federal and state governments. On the other hand, the growing segment of the citizenry who are working and self-sufficient are increasingly joining those who believe in limited government in migrating to the Republican Party-- a process that is accelerating with the policies and tactics of Donald Trump in combating the entrenched left and their determination to culturally and economically transform the nation. The Republican Party will inevitably become the party of the working or middle class. As such, they could potentially dominate the political agenda for the foreseeable future.
The left and the Democratic Party, in order to offset this possibility, must aggressively seek to increase the number of dependents by promoting the legalization and ultimate citizenship for untold millions of illegal immigrants and promising all Americans cradle to grave economic security. In order to enact this strategy to defeat the Republicans, the left must have the active participation and financial support of the nation’s wealthy-- which they have.
The Democratic Party has evolved into essentially an incompatible two-tier class-driven entity encompassing the nation’s wealthiest and the nation’s poorest. Nonetheless, it is at present a convenient home for the elites to hold off the imaginary horde of conservatives outside their gilded doors.
However, the voting numbers within the party are overwhelmingly with those who generally support the leftist philosophies of redistribution (e.g. socialized medicine and guaranteed incomes) and curtailing of freedom (e.g. speech, assembly and religion). While it may not manifest itself to the affluent who have cast their lot with the Democrats, the redistribution of wealth must, by necessity, come from the wealthy, as that is where the bulk of the nation’s wealth resides. It is also this same small-in-numbers group that benefits the most from freedom of speech and assembly.
Once fully embroiled in this marriage of convenience, a divorce will be impossible as the co-inhabitant of the Democratic Party, the dependent class, must continue grow in order to electorally defeat the Republicans and protect the left’s agenda. Further, the oversold expectations promulgated by the left will never be satisfied regardless of how many promises are made or token redistributive programs are enacted by the current ruling class. Only a complete transformation of this nation into a failed socialist state will satiate the left, their acolytes and their attendant army of dependency. A goal more in reach than ever thanks to the inability of the nation’s elites to give a damn about the future of the country.
There is not a more short-sighted and self-absorbed group of citizens in this nation than the white, wealthy well-educated urban and suburban voters. They are willing to rend the fabric of this nation in order to protect their privilege and lifestyle. While the vast majority of Americans will ultimately pay the price, the current ruling class and their progeny will have far more to lose.
