Also contrary to the
narrative of Planned Parenthood, the stories of abortion survivors like Gianna Jessen and Melissa Ohden show
that infants who survive abortions do exist.
Arkansas Senate Passes Abortion Ban if Decision Is Left to
States
2:52
The Arkansas Senate passed legislation Thursday that would ban
abortions in the state in the event the states are once again permitted to
decide whether to prohibit the procedure.
“It’s time
for the United States to redress and correct what many believe is a grave
injustice and a crime against humanity which is being perpetuated by the
decisions of Roe v. Wade,” said state Sen. Jason Rapert,
reported the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
Rapert sponsored Senate Bill 149 — the
Human Life Protection Act — which would prohibit abortions in Arkansas in the
event Roe v. Wade is
reversed or the U.S. Constitution is amended to permit states to ban the
procedure.
State senators approved the bill, 29-6, with 26 Republicans and
three Democrats voting in favor. The measure now heads to the state House.
“New scientific advances have demonstrated since 1973 that life
begins at the moment of conception and the child in a woman’s womb is a human
being,” the bill states. “Scientific evidence and personal testimonies document
the massive harm that abortion causes to women.”
The
legislation goes on to say that prior to the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, “Arkansas had already
enacted prohibitions on abortions.”
The state also passed the Heartbeat Protection Act in 2013 and
additional pro-life legislation in 2015 and 2017 “that further shows the will
of the Arkansas people to save the lives of unborn children,” the bill says and
adds:
The State of
Arkansas urgently pleads with the United States Supreme Court to do the right
thing, as they did in one of their greatest cases, Brown v. Board of Education, which
overturned a fifty-eight- year-old precedent of the United States, and reverse,
cancel, overturn, and annul Roe
v. Wade, Doe
v. Bolton, and Planned
Parenthood v. Casey.
(b) It is the intent of this subchapter to ensure that abortion
in Arkansas is abolished and protect the lives of unborn children.
If the conditions of the bill come to pass, abortion would be
abolished in Arkansas, except to save a woman’s life from a “physical disorder,
physical illness, or physical injury.”
The
Associated Press reports that Louisiana,
Mississippi, North Dakota, and South Dakota have already passed legislation
that would put an abortion prohibition into action if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
According to
the Gazette, following
an intense debate in the state Senate, Rapert ended by observing that the late
Norma McCorvey — who was known as “Jane Roe” in the landmark Supreme Court case
— never actually had an abortion but placed her baby for adoption prior to the
high court’s ruling. McCorvey later became a pro-life activist.
“Some people don’t know that Norma McCorvey never had an
abortion. Ever,” Rapert said. “And here we are using her name and her story to
continue a culture of death.”

As a man,
I feel very comfortable telling women that they can’t murder their babies.
I will
never be impregnated, or carry a baby, nor give birth, and yet I am still going
to demand that no one murder a child.
Yeah, I
know a lot of liberals insist that because I identify as male, I can’t have an
opinion on the subject of murdering babies, but I do have an opinion, and it is
that we should not legalize the murder of babies.
Call it
“male privilege” if you wish, but I’m sticking with my firm “No killing babies”
position.
I don’t
think I’m alone on this. I don’t think it’s just my genitals driving this
decision. I think a lot of other male identifying people, and female
identifying people, and people who identify in other ways, all can’t get behind
infanticide. We have come together in a beautiful and diverse coalition of
people who oppose the legal extermination of children. And it’s a coalition
that should worry the Democrat elite, since a lot of Democrat voters are not
cool with laws that allow the offing of infants.
This is
just the latest cultural assault we’ve been subjected too, and the most
appalling (yet). Normal people of both
parties have been getting progressively more woke to the indisputable fact
that the left hates us and wants us dead or enslaved,
but legalizing the murder of babies might be an atrocity too far.
Kavanaugh
lynch mob? That taught us that every man is vulnerable to some shaky tale from
three decades ago. That was bad.
Covington
Fiasco? That taught us that our sons are fair game if they dare smile wrong
when some fake Vietnam veteran who is not Dick Blumenthal bangs a drum in their
faces – or whenever else the garbage media and the garbage left set their
sights upon them for having political views that offend the perpetually
offended. That was bad too.
But now
it’s killing babies. Like, actual babies. Not even fetuses. Babies.
Like, one minute away from breathing and crying. Or even after birth, according
to (as of this writing) Virginia Governor and cringy racial humor aficionado Ralph
(“Racist Nickname Omitted”) Northam. Note that Bill Kristol, the Fredocon Elvis,
contributed to abortionboy’s campaign contribution because Trump sends mean
tweets and because killing babies is apparently True Conservatism™. At this
writing, it is unclear if the Northam yearbook picture of
the male in blackface and the male in the KKK get-up are Northam and Kristol.
In any
case, the Democrats got my attention when they recently pivoted from **mumble
mumble women’s healthcare mumble mumble** to SHOUTING THEIR ABORTIONS, and then
took the next step of giving the thumbs up to butchering an eight-month, 29-day
old kid just minding his business waiting to exit the uterus. I think it got a
lot of people’s attention.
Look,
abortion was not my big issue. I was against it, but it was not a subject I
liked to talk about, and many fellow conservatives seemed to feel the same way.
A couple decades ago, before I got married, I found it distasteful but I really
did not care much about whether it was legal or not. I actively managed my own
fertility and I just didn’t see it as applying to me. But it never occurred to
me that the abortion nuts meant killing full-grown babies.
But they
meant killing full grown babies all right. You heard them correctly the first
time – not later when all the lies and distractions cranked up to cover up what
they really want for the benefit of the squares. Their position is that a baby
can be killed anytime before it is born for any reason. Not just deformed or
sick ones, and not just when mothers are in the essentially mythical danger of
dying if that baby isn’t aborted stat. Anytime, for any reason.
Oh yeah,
later ones require a “health care provider” sign off that it’s for the health
of the mother, **wink wink**. Does anyone think the aspiring Doc Gosnells out
there are going to do anything but rubber stamp the death warrants? Hell,
that’s what the Democrats want, a fig leaf to cover the grisly reality of what
they want. And that reality makes most of the nominally pro-choice people
queasy.
Ask them.
Ask them “Okay, a pregnancy is nine months long. At what specific date
should we outlaw abortion. One month? Two months? Five months?”
Their
honest answer is “Nine months, and even after,” but they won’t answer you
honestly. You’ll get a word soup of “woman’s choice” and “her doctor” and
“reproductive healthcare” but you will never get a date –
except from the ones too crazy to try to hide it, or the ones like that
Virginia delegate who was too stupid to understand that she shouldn’t actually say it or the Normals will freak out.

Well, I’m
freaking out, because she’s yapping about murdering babies, and a lot of other
people are freaking out too. I’ve talked to a significant number of people who
were probably nominally pro-life and who saw what the Democrats were doing in
New York and Rhode Island and Virginia and were shell-shocked. But these people
all agreed on one point that any civilized society would find unnecessary to
debate.
You can’t
kill babies.
There are
a lot of people out there who aren’t hardcore pro-life. They are against
abortion, but they see it as a difficult issue and will not invest the majority
of their political capital in it. And there are others who are pro-choice, but
squishy. These are the safe, legal and rare” people Bill Clinton was talking
to. First trimester, okay. Regrettable, but they can live with it.
But this
insanity? They tried to thread the needle on a distasteful issue. They did not
sign up for a death cult.
Let’s
spend the next two years figuratively hanging the dismembered bodies of however
many babies are chopped up under Andrew Cuomo’s law around the necks of the
swing district Dems who just got elected promising they would not be the looney
kind of Democrats. Let’s make them make a choice – support unrestricted
infanticide like the leaders of your disgusting party, or oppose killing
babies.
Choose.
I show
what this kind social justice warrior lunacy would look like in America if
these psychopaths ever got power in my latest novel, Wildfire,
and in my earlier installments People’s
Republic and Indian Country. The good
guys win in mine, and we damn well better make sure we win in reality too.

Exclusive — House GOP Plans Sustained Effort to Expose Leftist
Democrats on Abortion

8 Feb 2019
Washington, D.C.7,013
11:30
House Republicans are gearing up for a sustained push to expose leftist
Democrats in the House Democrat majority on their increasingly extreme views on
abortion, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
Specifically, Republicans–as they have demonstrated for three
consecutive legislative days–intend to push for a floor vote against Democrat
Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s wishes on a piece of legislation from Rep. Ann Wagner
(R-MO) that would ensure babies who are born alive following an abortion attempt
are given the same medical treatment and care any other newborn baby would
receive.
“Protecting innocent life shouldn’t be a partisan issue and it
shouldn’t be difficult. Infanticide is barbaric and the growing trend of
Democrats advocating it is frightening,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy,
a California Republican, told Breitbart News. “Republicans are united in
seeing that a bill protecting babies who survived an attempted
abortion urgently receives a vote on the House Floor. It already
passed the House with Democratic support last Congress. But so far the new
Democrat majority refuse to even consider the bill. But we will ask again. And
again. And again, until this body speaks up for life.”
The House Minority Whip, Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican,
added in an emailed statement to Breitbart News that the Democrats’ extremism
has been exposed and will continue to be shown to the public by the GOP’s
sustained effort. Scalise said:
It’s absolutely barbaric that in this country it would be allowed
to kill a baby after it’s born alive during an abortion, but that’s exactly
what some elected Democrat leaders have advocated in recent weeks. Yesterday,
the moral indifference of the House Democrat majority was on full display when
they refused my motion to even give the Born Alive Survivors Protection Act a
vote on the House Floor. Every American deserves to know if their
representative stands against infanticide or not, and that’s why this week I
began the discharge petition process that would force a vote on our bill. Now
Democrats will have to make a choice: stand with the most radical elements of
their base, or with the vast majority of Americans who are appalled at the
murder of innocent life.
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the chairwoman of the House Republican
Conference, added in an emailed statement to Breitbart News that Republicans
are fighting “pure evil” on the part of those who would kill babies after being
born.
Cheney told Breitbart News:
This is about killing babies after they are born and it is the
face of pure evil. We’ve seen the leadership of the Democrat Party on the Hill
remain silent while elected leaders, including the Governor of Virginia,
describe in very cold, clinical terms how he would facilitate the murder of a
baby that has already been born. I want to say personally, as a mother of five
kids, the idea that we have to describe what the Democrats are doing, is really
horrific. I want to ask mothers across this country to join with us to make
sure that we don’t see our maternity wards turn into killing fields, which is
what the Democrats would do if we don’t stop this. House Republicans are
absolutely dedicated to stopping this, and dedicated to protecting the most
vulnerable among us, which is the unborn. The notion that we’re having the
debate about whether or not you should be able to kill babies is absolutely
horrific and evil, and we will stand up against that.
Earlier this week, at a press conference, McCarthy and GOP
leaders rolled out their push on the anti-infanticide bill from Wagner,
recommitting their efforts to it. Last Congress, the bill was pushed in the
House of Representatives by then-Congresswoman and now Sen. Marsha Blackburn
(R-TN), and it passed with bipartisan support. Six Democrats crossed the aisle
to join all the Republicans in the then-GOP-led-majority in January 2018 to
pass the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. The bill did not make it
in the Senate.
Now, with Democrats in control of the House of Representatives
after the midterm elections, and with states like New York and Virginia among
others pushing boundaries on abortion to extremes, the Republicans in Congress
is rolling out a long-term push to force the Democrats to hold a vote on the
bill. Wagner, the Congresswoman from Missouri who has taken up the Blackburn
bill mantle in the House, told Breitbart News that she is “proud” to push for a
vote on this critical legislation protecting babies who are born alive
surviving abortions.
“I was proud to introduce the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors
Protection Act and help lead the discharge petition process to force a vote on
this critical piece of legislation,” Wagner told Breitbart News. “Babies born
alive deserve our protection and the proper medical care that any newborn would
receive. I called for unanimous consent on the House Floor to bring this
commonsense legislation up for a vote so we can protect these babies, but we
were denied that vote. My colleagues and I will keep fighting for the
precious life of these babies and we will keep calling for this vote so
born-alive babies can receive lifesaving medical care when they are at their
most vulnerable.”
The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, among other
things, requires by law that healthcare professionals present at a live birth
use their skills to preserve the life and health of a child at the same degree
of care that would be offered to any child born prematurely at the same
gestational age–and that after these efforts conclude, those healthcare
professionals are legally responsible for the transportation and admission to a
hospital. It also requires health officials to report any violations to law
enforcement and penalizes intentional killing of born-alive children with
various fines and up to five years in prison.
Leadership officials in the House GOP conference told Breitbart
News that until the Democrats schedule a floor vote on this, on every
legislative day when the House is in session, a different House Republican will
go to the floor and ask for unanimous consent to have a vote on the bill.
Democrats have already blocked Republicans’ efforts three times.
McCarthy tried on Wednesday, Scalise tried on Thursday, and Wagner tried on
Friday. Cheney is expected to go to the floor next week, and many other members
will get in the fight. There will be a different member each day pushing for
unanimous consent on Wagner’s bill until Pelosi’s Democrat leadership team,
which remains steadfastly in favor of not protecting babies born alive, cracks
and allows a vote.
“This will force Speaker Pelosi and the House Democrat Majority
to either go on record in blocking that request, or immediately proceed to
passage of this important legislation,” a GOP leadership aide told Breitbart
News.
Republicans say they will not be deterred and are ready for the
long haul if necessary, because they believe that when the House votes on this
bill protecting babies, many Democrats will be forced to–as six of them did in
early 2018 when the Blackburn version of the bill passed the House on a
bipartisan vote under Republican control–vote against their party leadership’s
increasingly more extreme position on abortion.
Republicans are ready to take this request for unanimous consent
on this bill to the floor, leadership aides say, every day that the House is in
session for months and months–even more than a hundred days–if necessary.
The effort began on Wednesday, the day after President Donald
Trump’s State of the Union addres in the very same chamber, where the president
asked Congress to pass legislation protecting the most innocent lives–newborn
babies and the unborn. Trump also criticized recent developments in New York,
which made late-term abortions legal, and in Virginia, where the Democrat
Governor Ralph Northam has come under serious fire for comments supporting
abortion of a child during the birth of that child.
President Trump said:
Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of
legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments
from birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the
chance to share their love and their dreams with the world. And then, we had
the case of the Governor of Virginia where he stated he would execute a baby
after birth. To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to
pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel
pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that
cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: All children
— born and unborn — are made in the holy image of God.
On Wednesday
afternoon, after Wagner reintroduced the bill Wednesday morning and
leadership touted it at a press conference, McCarthy went to the floor to push
for a vote via unanimous consent. Pelosi’s designate in the Speaker’s chair
that day, Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL), blocked the bill, saying Pelosi’s
leadership team had not agreed to it.
Here’s video of the exchange between McCarthy and Pelosi’s
designate:
Then, the next day, Scalise went to the floor and tried again.
Pelosi’s designate, a different Democrat this time, blocked the GOP:
And Wagner tried again on Friday:
As each of these battles happens, McCarthy’s team and the rest
of the GOP leadership are blasting out press releases to the national media
highlighting the Democrat opposition to protecting babies from being killed
during or after being born. Republicans also intend to push the message hard on
social media, ripping Democrats for supporting what amounts to murder of babies
already born:
According
to a report in the Washington Post on Thursday, the GOP
clearly views this as a winning issue politically–as it hands the Republicans
the moral high ground on abortion, as the extremely radical view of killing a
baby after he or she has been born–not when a baby is still in the womb–is so
out there most of the country is aligned against it, even supporters of
abortion.
Scalise is
quoted in that Post story as
saying the New York and Virginia developments on the life issue seem to have
“woke a sleeping giant”– the movement of people across the country disgusted,
outraged, and driven to action to protect human life from Democrats who could
care less about it or would go so far as to pass laws stretching abortion to
radical extremes.
The Northam comments hit America hard. He was making the case in
favor of Virginia statehouse Delegate Kathy Tran’s bill that would allow
abortion when a woman is going into labor–meaning as a baby is being born–and
took it much, much further.
This is why decisions such as this should be made by providers,
physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved. When we talk about
third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the
mother, with the consent of the physician—more than one physician, by the
way—and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be
a fetus that’s non-viable.
Northam, who was a doctor before he got into politics, then said
that the child would be “kept comfortable” while doctors and parents made a
decision whether or not to kill him or her. Northam said:
If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would
happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable.
The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family
desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the
mother. So I think this was really blown out of proportion. We want the
government not to be involved in these types of decisions.
Northam’s
comments reportedly so outraged his medical
colleagues that they leaked to the media photographs from his
yearbook page in medical school that show two men in racially offensive
garb–one in blackface, the other in a Ku Klux Klan outfit. Northan originally
admitted one of the men was him but would not specify which, then walked back
his admission and is now denying either of the men are him and refuses to
resign despite nearly all of the Democrat Party nationally pushing for his
resignation.
The scandal has rocked the Democrat Party nationally and
reverberated heavily throughout Virginia, as not just Northam but both his
presumed successors–next in line Democrat Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax and the
number three in line to the governor’s mansion, Democrat Attorney General Mark
Herring–have been consumed by scandals of their own.
Fairfax has
been hit with a pair of sexual assault
allegations, including one woman who accused him of raping her. He denies
the allegations despite calls from national Democrats for him to resign as
well. Herring has admitted he too donned
blackface in his college days. Herring had previously called on
Northam to resign over Northam’s admission at a press conference that he wore
blackface at a different time than the photo that appeared in his yearbook.
Republicans’ renewed focus on abortion in the wake of both the
New York and Virginia developments–among others nationwide–has widespread
public support. Recent polling shows that the public wants restrictions on
abortion, and wants Roe v. Wade reinterpreted so as to allow for restrictions:
What’s more,
Democrats who have embraced radical and extreme late-term abortion policy views
in recent weeks–not just Northam–have come under fire. New York’s Gov. Andrew
Cuomo, another Democrat who is reportedly considering running for president in
2020, wrote an op-ed in the New York Times defending his state’s
radical new law by saying: “I am a former altar boy.”
“My Roman Catholic values are my personal values. The decisions
I choose to make in my life, or in counseling my daughters, are based on my personal
moral and religious beliefs,” Cuomo wrote, backing the law by saying his oath
is not to his personal beliefs but to the law and the Constitution.
Senate to Vote on Bill to Protect Babies Born Alive After
Abortion from Infanticide

The Senate will vote Monday on Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse’s Born-Alive
Abortion Survivors Protection Act – a bill that would protect babies born alive
following failed abortions from infanticide.
Sasse announced the Senate roll call vote in
a press release last week.
“I want to thank the Majority Leader for scheduling this vote so
that every American can know where their Senator stands on the issue of
infanticide,” Sasse, a Republican, said in a statement. “A lot of Senators
spend a lot of time telling people how they fight for the little guy. Well,
here’s the chance for them to prove it.”
(1) If an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the
infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States,
and entitled to all the protections of such laws.
(2) Any infant born alive after an abortion or within a
hospital, clinic, or other facility has the same claim to the protection of the
law that would arise for any newborn, or for any person who comes to a
hospital, clinic, or other facility for screening and treatment or otherwise
becomes a patient within its care.
Nearly three
weeks ago, Senate Democrats – led by Washington Sen. Patty Murray – blocked the Born-Alive bill. Sasse
had introduced the legislation and went to the floor of the Senate to ask his
colleagues to pass the bill by unanimous consent, but Democrats objected.
“Infanticide
shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” Sasse wrote in an op-ed at USA Today. “Every single public
servant should be able to say it’s wrong to leave newborn babies to die.”
Meanwhile, Murray touted her visit to Seattle Children’s
Hospital, where she met “the dedicated staff and seeing firsthand how they use
their resources to serve children and families throughout Northwest WA”:
When it comes to protecting infants “accidentally” born alive
after abortion, the Washington senator nevertheless tweeted the Born-Alive Act
is “*another* bill attacking women’s rights & health – which leading
medical groups have said should never become law”:
As National Review noted, two of the “leading medical
groups” cited by Murray that signed onto a letter opposing Sasse’s bill are Planned
Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation. The letter called the measure
protecting infants from infanticide a “dangerous government intrusion into
private health care decisions.”
National
Review also
reported that Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine – a Catholic – appears inclined to vote against the
Born-Alive Act.
“This bill
would establish new requirements for health care practitioners in the case of a
fetus who survives an abortion,” Kaine reportedly wrote in a letter to
constituents. “I support the right of women to make their own health and
reproductive decisions. For that reason, I oppose efforts to weaken the basic
holding of Roe v. Wade .
. . [and oppose] restricting and criminalizing women’s reproductive decisions.”
In his op-ed, Sasse wrote the kind of thinking that equates
infanticide with “women’s reproductive rights” is “radicalism.”
“[A]n extreme
pro-abortion lobby is advocating for abortion anytime and for any reason — even after the
baby has left the womb,” he observed. “This kind of radicalism is wildly out of step with the American
public, and President Donald Trump was right to highlight it in his recent State of the
Union address. But even more important, it’s out of step with who we are as
Americans.”
Sasse is determined that the vote on Monday will let all
Americans know where their U.S. senators stand on infanticide.
“We’re going to have a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors
Protection Act and everyone is going to have to put their name by their vote,”
Sasse said. “It’s cowardly for a politician to say they’ll fight for the
little guy but only if the little guy isn’t an actual seven-pound baby who’s
fighting for life. It shouldn’t be hard to protect newborn babies – let’s pass
this legislation.”
Sen. Paul Reintroduces 'Life at Conception Act'
and Bill to End Planned Parenthood Funding
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)
(CNSNews.com) -- On Friday, as tens of
thousands of Americans participated in the March for Life in Washington, D.C.,
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) reintroduced his legislation to ensure that unborn
children are protected under law from the moment of conception -- the Life at Conception Act-- and his
bill to prohibit all federal funding of Planned Parenthood, the largest
abortion provider in the United States.
"Each year, the March for Life calls on the powerful to
protect life at its most helpless," said Sen. Paul, an M.D. in
ophthalmology, in a statement. "What we say about the value of human
life fundamentally impacts who and what we will be as a nation."
"May the message heard today and the marchers’ passionate
dedication inspire change to reaffirm this most basic of rights,” said the
senator, whose father Ron Paul was a strong defender of life when he served in
the House of Representatives.
The Life at Conception Act (S.159)
does not amend the Constitution but relies on the 14th Amendment to
"implement equal protection under the 14th Amendment to the Constitution
of the United States for the right to life of each born and preborn
person." The bill currently has 12 co-sponsors.
The legislation defines "human person" and "human
being" as "each member of the species homo sapiens at all stages
of life, including the moment of fertilization or cloning, or other moment at
which an individual member of the human species comes into being"
Through the bill, under the 14th Amendment, Congress would
declare "that the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested
in each human being."

"Nothing in this Act shall be construed to require the
prosecution of any woman for the death of her unborn child, a prohibition on in
vitro fertilization, or a prohibition on use of birth control or another means
of preventing fertilization," reads the legislation.
The other bill (S.158) states,
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal funds may be made
available to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, or to any of its
affiliates."
Solidarity With the Weakest and Most Vulnerable

Editor's note: The
following are excerpts from the remarks Congressman Smith delivered at the 46th
annual March for Life.
Thank you, President Trump, for making it absolutely clear today
that you will veto any piece of legislation that undermines or nullifies any
pro-life policy, regulation, or rule.
Your extraordinary announcement—your bold solidarity with the
weakest and most vulnerable—couldn’t come at a better time.
The new Democratic majority in the House has made it clear that
they want to eviscerate all pro-life protections including the Hyde taxpayer
abortion funding ban which alone has saved over 2 million people from
death by abortion.
Mr. President, be assured that 169 House Members and 49 Senators—well
in excess of the requisite number required to prevail—have pledged in writing
to sustain your veto.
Why is this so important? Because women and children deserve
better than the violence of abortion.
Just ask the brave and amazing women who are silent no more, who
sacrifice everything to warn other women—and society—about the tragic
consequences of their abortions.
The shocking number of unborn children killed in America is
unconscionable: 2,500 each day, approximately 61 million dead babies since
1973—a death toll that equates with the entire population of Italy.
All this as our knowledge concerning the breathtaking miracle of
life before birth is unparalleled and when science had made it absolutely clear
that birth is an important event in the life of a child – but only an event not
its beginning.
Doctors today routinely diagnose and treat a myriad of
conditions, illnesses, and diseases suffered by society’s littlest
patients—unborn babies—significantly enhancing their health and chances to
survive and thrive.
Even first baby pictures proudly shared and displayed are most
often ultrasound photos showing the baby alive and maturing in the womb.
The humanity of the unborn child is beyond doubt.
Yet, the pro-abortion movement, like some kind of modern-day
flat earth society, continues to cling to outdated indefensible arguments
cloaked in euphemism.
Even the seemingly benign word “choice” withers under scrutiny.
Choice to do what? Dismember a baby? Starve a child to death and then forcibly
expel her or him from the womb?
In order to facilitate the baby’s extermination,
pro-abortionists aggressively deny and disrespect the unborn child, and loudly
mock and belittle those like each of you who defend a child’s right to life.
I say, let their harsh criticism cause us to work even harder
and more effectively—and as our Lord admonished, all the while loving even
those spew hatred at you and me.
I believe that your presence here today— your prayers, fasting,
and commitment throughout the year –will help ensure that one day soon
protection of the weakest and most vulnerable from abortion violence will be
restored.
Poll: 75% of Americans Say Abortion Should Be Restricted
3:46
A poll released Tuesday finds 75 percent of Americans want substantial
restrictions on abortion, including 60 percent of Democrats and 61 percent of
those who identify as “pro-choice.”
According to the
Marist poll and its partner, the Knights of Columbus, the survey demonstrates
that the label “pro-choice” can be deceptive when it is interpreted to mean
supportive of abortion at any point in pregnancy.
A new KofC/Marist poll on American attitudes toward
abortion finds that overwhelming majorities support substantial restrictions on
abortion, and would like to see Roe v. Wade reinterpreted to allow
restrictions. https://bit.ly/2FrVAPH

“As in past
years, this poll shows that the pro-choice label on the abortion issue is
simply insufficient,” said Knights of Columbus CEO Carl Anderson. “The majority
of Americans – in both parties – support legal restrictions on abortion.

to allow for state regulation of abortion or to ban it altogether. The majority
of the American people deserve to have their opinions heard.”
According to
the poll, 75 percent of Americans say abortion should be limited to — at most —
the first three months of pregnancy. Among those who identify as Republicans,
92 percent want that restriction, as do 78 percent of independents and 60
percent of Democrats. Perhaps most significantly, that view is shared by 61
percent of those who identify as “pro-choice.”
In addition,
the survey finds 65 percent of Americans say if the Supreme Court
revisits Roe v. Wade, the
high court should either return the issue of the legality of abortion to the
states (49 percent) or outlaw the procedure altogether (16 percent). Only
30 percent of those surveyed would prefer that the Supreme Court rule in favor
of unrestricted abortion.
Regarding
taxpayer funding of the procedure, 54 percent oppose any taxpayer funding of
abortion, while 39 percent support it.
On the issue
of taxpayer funding of the procedure overseas, the poll finds 75 percent of
Americans oppose taxpayer funding abroad, through non-governmental
organizations such as International Planned Parenthood, with only 19 percent in
favor of such funding. When political affiliation is a factor, 94 percent of
Republicans, 80 percent of independents, and 56 percent of Democrats oppose
taxpayer funding of abortion overseas.
When asked if
medical professionals with moral objections to abortion should be permitted to
opt out of performing them, 55 percent of those surveyed agreed, while 35
percent did not agree.
The majority
of Americans (62 percent) oppose abortions for unborn babies with Down
Syndrome. Additionally, 59 percent are in favor of banning the procedure after
20 weeks of pregnancy, except to save the life of the mother.
When
questions regarding the nature of the unborn are asked, 56 percent of Americans
say, “scientifically,” a fetus is “a unique life,” while 35 percent say it is
“part of a woman’s body.” Additionally, 42 percent say life begins at
conception while 13 percent say life begins at birth.
“Most
Americans also believe that laws can protect both the mother and her unborn
child (83 percent to 10 percent).”
The survey of
1,066 adults was conducted January 8-10 using landline or mobile phone numbers.
Results are statistically significant within plus or minus 3.7 percentage
points.
A poll released Monday by Students for Life of America
also found that labels such as “pro-life” and “pro-choice” can hide what
Millennials actually prefer in terms of policy on abortion.
That poll
revealed that 70 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 support
limits on abortion, with 42 percent opposing the procedure broadly.
Despite the
image portrayed of popular culture in the media, of those Millennials surveyed,
only seven percent supported abortion without any exceptions and funded by
taxpayer dollars — the position embraced by the Democrat Party.
Why are leftists thrilled by abortion?
On January 7, Hillary Clinton and New York's Gov. Andrew Cuomo
announced their satanic bill to allow abortions through all nine months up to
birth. The intensely jubilant faces of these two Democrats while
launching their baby-killing campaign was bone-chillingly evil. Clinton and Cuomo held their joined hands high in the air like an enthusiastic
victorious battle-cry as they grinned ear to ear. Why were they so
happy? Why are these leftist politicians barely able to contain
their excitement over the thought of killing more babies?
During her presidential campaign, Hillary vowed to protect
animals from cruelty and
abuse. And yet, Hillary is elated over her bill to allow abortion
doctors to deliver a nine-month-old baby except for the head, then shove
scissors into his brain to kill him. This barbaric, shameful, and
evil procedure is called partial-birth abortion.
Abortion zealots fear that a
conservative majority on the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade, the
unconstitutional ruling that made abortion legal. Here's how abortion activist
Sarah Silverman expressed the
urgency of keeping Judge Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court: "This is a
position for life, y'all." In her sad, perverted thinking,
Silverman infers that women will die if they cannot for whatever reason kill
the horrible thing growing inside them even on the birth date.
Eighty-five-year-old pro-abortion Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader
Ginsburg's health is failing. If she dies or retires, leftists fear
that Trump's replacement will be a conservative. Panicked female
abortion zealots are offering their body parts to keep Ginsburg
alive. Abortion zealot Alyssa Milano offered her ribs, kidneys, and a lung to Justice
Ginsburg. Notice the intense passion to do whatever necessary to
freely kill babies in the womb.
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you..."
(Jeremiah 1:5)
Alyssa Milano through the Fuzzy Pet Foundation compassionately
rescued a dog in South Korea being raised for slaughter. It appears
that Milano has zero compassion for innocent babies. She is insanely committed to murdering them before
birth. Also, Milano has not complained about Planned Parenthood
profiting from the sales of slaughtered baby body parts.
In 2018, abortion was the number-one cause of death worldwide;
over 41 million children were killed before birth. Again I ask, why is
this horrifying stat cause for leftists to celebrate?
In a landslide, Irish voters repealed their anti-abortion
laws. Many observers were uncomfortable with the eerie jubilation of
thousands of women in the streets hugging while crying tears of
sheer joy.
Co-director of the abortion campaign Orla O'Connor said,
"This is a monumental day for women in Ireland. This is about
women taking their rightful place in Irish society, finally."
Another Irish woman thrilled about killing babies said, "It's
such a great victory for women, for men, for our future
generation. It's just – I'm so emotional."
"And God blessed them. And God said to them, Be
fruitful and multiply and fill the earth..." (Genesis 1:28)
Despite God's command to "be fruitful and multiply,"
many youths vow not to have children because leftists have convinced them that
childbirth is extremely destructive to the environment. Leftists foolishly believe they are smarter than God.
Unquestionably, abortion is the holy sacrament of the demonic
religion of liberalism. Shockingly, over 20 religious leaders gathered
to bless the opening of a new Planned Parenthood abortion facility in
Washington, D.C. President and CEO Dr. Laura Meyers
said, "In almost every
message to our staff, I talk about our doing sacred work." What
is wrong with these people? How can they claim moral and spiritual
high ground killing babies and selling their body parts?
Insanely, a majority of the religious leaders who blessed the new
dead baby chop shop are black. A disproportionately high number of
aborted babies are blacks. Right-thinking black ministers have been
sounding the alarm for years how blacks are aborting themselves
to extinction.
Leftists are in constant rebellion against God's natural order. Leftist
women act as if pregnancy were God's cursed disease, as devastating as cancer,
and abortion is the life-saving cure.
Abortion zealots do not view abortion as a necessary
evil. They are actually thrilled when a mother murders her
baby. There is something strange and disturbingly evil about
leftists having all the sympathy in the world for animals and not an ounce of
sympathy (even disdain) for innocent unborn babies.
