Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims Records Himself Rebuking Pro-Life ‘Old White Lady’ Saying Rosary

Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims videotaped himself last week as he rebuked a woman he called an “old white lady,” who was praying the rosary as she demonstrated in front of a Planned Parenthood facility.

“Who’d have thought that an old white lady would be out in front of a Planned Parenthood, telling people what’s right for their bodies?” Sims berated the woman as he filmed her praying as she walked. “Shame on you. What you’re doing here is disgusting! This is wrong! You have no business being out here!”

Pro-life organization Live Action tweeted Sims’ video:

The Democrat from Philadelphia, who is the first openly gay lawmaker in the State House, responded to Live Action:

“Bring it, Bible Bullies!” he tweeted. “You are bigots, sexists, and misogynists and I see right through your fake morals and your broken values.”
In his video recorded outside Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Sims said:
Today’s protester – now, she is an old white lady – who’s going to try avoid showing you her face. But the same laws, luckily, that protect her being out here also protect me from showing you who she is. And, so, my hope is you’ll donate $100 for every extra hour this woman is out here telling people what’s right for their bodies.
Sims then directly harassed the woman as she prayed while walking:
I have a couple of questions for you, ma’am. How many children have you clothed today? I’m sorry, I missed your answer. How many children have you clothed today? How about how many children have you put shoes on their feet today? Have you fed any children today, or have you just stood out in front of a Planned Parenthood shaming people for something they have a constitutional right to do? Huh? Huh? If you’re here about the children, you can pray at home for children. It’s probably the same place that you can feed a child. But, you’re not. Instead, you’re out here shaming people for something they have a constitutional right to do.
Attacking the woman’s Christian faith, Sims continued in belittling the women as he accosted her.
“We can talk about your Christian faith, about how your Christian faith believes in shaming people, about how your Christian faith believes in telling people you know what’s right for their bodies,” Sims said, adding she had to undertake “mental gymnastics” to reconcile being a Catholic because of the Church’s sex abuse scandal.
Sims then threatened, “If you can give me her address, we’ll protest in front of her home. Let’s go protest out in front of her house.”
Sims posted his video to Twitter with the comment:
Push back against Planned Parenthood protestors, PLEASE! They prey on young women, they use white privilege, & shame. They’re racist, classist, bigots who NEED & DESERVE our righteous opposition. Push back, please!
Sims made headlines in June 2018 when he “welcomed” Vice President Mike Pence to Philadelphia with a middle-finger salute:
Vice President Mike Pence let me be the first person to officially welcome you to the City of Brotherly Love, and to my District in the State House!” Sims posted to Facebook.
“To be clear, we’re a City of soaring diversity,” he continued. “We believe in the power of all people to live and to contribute: Black, Brown, Queer, Trans, Atheist, Immigrant, we want you and we’ll respect you.”
“So keep that in mind while you’re here raising money to attack more families, spread more lies, blaspheme with your bible, and maybe even talk to a woman without your wife in the room,” Sims added. “We have plenty of them, and they’re pretty much all more powerful and more real than you have ever been. So…get bent, then get out!”

Abby Johnson: Sims’ Video Justifying His Actions ‘Isn’t Cutting It’

Pro-life activist Abby Johnson said Tuesday Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. Brian Sims’ video message in which he attempts to justify his aggressive berating of a pro-life woman outside of a Planned Parenthood facility “isn’t cutting it.”

The former Planned Parenthood director who founded a ministry to help other abortion workers leave the industry is calling on all pro-life activists to join at abortion clinics throughout the country Friday to show abortion supporters like Sims “we won’t be bullied,” and “we will continue to stand against the abortion clinics who bully children til death.”

I have an idea. Let’s collaborate to show up outside of every abortion clinic in this country on Friday, May 10. Let’s show these abortion supporters that: 1. We won’t be bullied. 2. We will continue to stand against the abortion clinics who bully children til death. Who’s in?

Sims tweeted a video message Tuesday in which he said he works as a volunteer patient escort at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, where he harassed a woman he referred to as an “old white lady” who was praying the rosary outside. He said his behavior toward the woman and his bullying of pro-life teens two weeks earlier — both of which he videotaped and posted to Twitter — were influenced by what he claims are “the insults, the slurs, the attacks, and the racism that those protesters aim mostly at young girls going for clinical care.”

I will fiercely protect a woman’s right to make the best choices for her health & her body, unimpeded. I also know that two wrongs don’t make a right, especially on the front lines of a civil rights battle. I can do better, and I will do better, for the women of Pennsylvania.

In justifying his actions, Sims said in his message, “What I should have shown you was protesters gathered together to pray at, not to silently pray for, people coming in and out of Planned Parenthood, as they intercepted them and harassed them.”
“I also know that two wrongs don’t make a right, especially on the front lines of a civil rights battle,” he said. “I can do better and I will do better, for the women of Pennsylvania.”
“It seems Mr. Sims is digging his heels in further, refusing to issue actual apologies to the woman in the video he harassed nor rescind his offer for money in exchange for the dox on underage girls outside of the clinic who were protesting abortion,” Johnson, whose transformation to pro-life activist is recounted in the new film Unplanned, said in a statement to Breitbart News. “I hope he comes on Friday to meet us, to understand why we stand out there in the cold, rain, snow, and sun praying for and helping women going inside for abortions. I hope he shows up to have an adult conversation about his side and listen to ours. A Twitter video isn’t cutting it.”
An online petition created by pro-life media outlet Life News is calling for Sims’ resignation and had received nearly 6,300 signatures at the time of publication.
“We call on Representative Brian Sims to resign immediately after this shameful harassment and bullying of a pro-life woman,” the petition states. “If he does not resign, the Pennsylvania state legislature should censure him and take whatever other disciplinary measure that are appropriate.”

Doxxing skinny teenage girls, then smearing them again in his 'apology,' Rep. Brian Sims is some Democrat

When it comes to teenagers, the Covington Kids incident pretty well underlined one social rule for the wokesters and everyone else: Hands off. Don't touch. Get away. Pick on someone your own size. Or pay the consequences.
Up until now, leftists have always understood such rules, as could be seen in their protectiveness of the Obama daughters, at least one of whom partied and smoked pot for the cameras, and in the flood of outrage that followed one ill-advised tweet from radio host Laura Ingraham against Parkland shooting leftist student activist David Hogg. Teenagers are off limits. That's the rule. And since it's a reasonable one, with conservatives generally agreeing, there's hell to pay for those who do.
Now we have someone named Brian Sims, a statehouse representative of Pennsylvania, who thinks the social rule doesn't apply to him, so unlike other people, he's targeted skinny teenage girls as fair game if they don't share his political views. In a video, he offered a hundred dollars to anyone who could 'doxx' them for him, putting their names, addresses, Social Security numbers, medical record information, phone numbers, email addresses, or whatever out there on the Internet permanently.

5,014 people are talking about this

It was something that normally, an anonymous sleazy Internet troll would do, not someone elected to represent all the people in his district. But Sims not only decided to target the teenagers, he did it with his face smushed to the camera. And apparently, it's not the first time he's waged doxx warfare on dissidents, either, as this story indicates. In offering money to someone to doxx the teens, Sims in effect dragged a hundred dollar bill in front of leftists to find out who these three skinny teenage girls protesting at a Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood 'clinic' were, the better to name and shame them, to expose them to harassment and perverts looking for children's addresses and phone numbers, to put them on college admissions blacklists, the better to ensure that they never dared try to express their First Amendment right to peaceful protest again. That'd fix them! Better still, Sims's act was designed to ensure that others in the wake of this incident didn't try, either. Kill the chicken, scare the monkey, as the old Chinese saying goes.
The kids in the video, though, were hardly monsters. The teens were quietly praying for babies at the clinic - and not blocking anyone from entering, either. They were not only utterly unaggressive and timid, actually, they were clearly kids. Yet those were the ones Sims targeted, telling his fellow leftists in his call-to-doxx message that he was there to 'defend women.' Defend women by doxxing girls? He was obviously bullying girls, which is some logic for defending women. And according to this report in the Philly Voice, he was the only oneyelling.
After a public outcry - which had to have been strong, because even Planned Parenthood disavowed the creep -- Sims then came up with a malevolent new video statement pretending in a few words at the end that he was sort of apologizing and "would do better."

It was pure garbage because the majority of the video was prefaced by a long string of amazingly fanciful smears against pro-life protestors, unsubstantiated both in his recounting and in his earlier video. See, he was so distressed by these brutal thuggy protestors blocking women's access to the abortion clinic that he couldn't help himself and his calls to doxx teens just kind of flew out his mouth, he wanted you to think. His disgustingness was supposed to be understandable, given all the dreadful things he claims to have witnessed from pro-life groups in the past, which is rubbish. If pro-lifers ever try to block abortion clinics or harass women getting abortions, they'd be hauled off in the paddy wagons for a stretch in the county jail. Infantilizing himself as a good boy as a sort of afterthought, he then promised to 'do better.'
The fact that he needed to add that yes, he was a Planned Parenthood clinic 'patient escort' but this time, just acting as a concerned citizen and neighbor, tells us he was probably hearing from Planned Parenthood and they didn't want his act associated with them. And in reality, the abortion organization probably had good legal reasons: Sims did something very endangering to children in their organization's name - and it's quite possible he's going to get sued, just as the Covington kids sued the press and the archdiocese that smeared them and will probably win. He also drew a lot of bad press for himself and his fellow Democrats, who are already being billed as extremists for their championship of the cause for moment-of-birth abortions. One can only hope that if this is the case, such potential consequences teach Sims, in a way his own secondary smears don't, to 'do better.'
