“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

With Jeffrey Epstein’s Arrest, the Darkest Days of the Trump Era May Be Arriving

The 17th-Century English theologian Thomas Fuller said it is always darkest before the dawn, which I suppose he intended as encouragement, but in the Trump Era I take it as more of a warning. When we look back after this is all over, we’ll probably be more apt to quote The Stranger in The Big Lebowski: “Darkness warshed over the Dude—darker’n a black steer’s tookus on a moonless prairie night. There was no bottom.”
The latest indication is this whole smut business with Jeffrey Epstein involving human trafficking of underage girls and some of the most rich, powerful, and famous men on the planet.
Jeffrey Epstein spent a second night in a New York jail cell Sunday, with a federal indictment expected to be unsealed Monday, charging him with sex offenses involving underage girls he and others allegedly trafficked in New York and Florida, sources have told the Miami Herald.
Right at the heart of this case already is the Secretary of Labor, Alexander Acosta, who handled Epstein’s case in the aughts while serving as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Acosta arranged a sweetheart deal for Epstein that involved him copping a plea to two prostitution charges and registering as a sex offender but doing very little jail time. The arrangement has since been deemed illegal since it was done in a way that impermissibly kept the victims in the dark.
In a normal world, Acosta would have resigned in disgrace months ago, but we live in depraved facsimile of normal.
The Miami Herald has done much of the most important investigative work on this story and they’re warning usthat some very well-known personages may soon be exposed as fellow-travelers in Epstein’s debauchery and perversions. It’s not clear who socialized with Epstein because he was offering underage entertainment versus who was doing it simply because he is a rich man known for his generous philanthropy.
Although details of the case remain undisclosed, there are indications that others involved in his crimes could be charged or named as cooperating witnesses.Among those potentially on the list: Ghislaine Maxwell, a 57-year-old British socialite and publishing heir who has been accused of working as Epstein’s madam; and Jean-Luc Brunel, who, according to court records, was partners with Epstein in an international modeling company……Lawyers for Epstein’s victims, in court filings, have often likened Epstein’s sex operation to an organized crime family, with Epstein and Maxwell at the top, and below them, others who worked as schedulers, recruiters, pilots and bookkeepers. For her part, Maxwell, whose social circle included such friends as Bill and Hillary Clinton and members of the British Royal family, has been described as using recruiters positioned throughout the world to lure women by promising them modeling assignments, educational opportunities and fashion careers. The pitch was really a ruse to groom them into sex trafficking, it is alleged in court records.
Back in 2002, Donald Trump agreed to speak about Epstein for a feature article reporter Landon Thomas Jr. was doing for New York magazine:
“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
It’s not clear if Trump understood quite how much on the younger side Epstein liked his beautiful women, but I bet he regrets making that remark now. It makes him look complicit in an underage sex ring even if he knew nothing about it. I suspect his 2016 opponents, Hillary and Bill Clinton, are wishing they never socialized with Ghislaine Maxwell and Bill wishes he never flew on Epstein’s private jet. This is indeed “a dark prairie night,” and no one yet knows who all will wind up being tarnished or even arrested.
A lot will depend on what federal agents found in Epstein’s Manhattan home. They seem to have had reason to focus on that residence above all others:
Federal agents also executed search warrants for Epstein’s Manhattan home early Saturday evening, breaking down the door of his Upper East Side townhouse, according to witnesses. Federal agents do not appear to have raided Epstein’s other three homes, however, and it’s not clear why.
In 2015, the now-defunct Gawker got its hands on Epstein’s Little Black Book which contained the contact information for a Who’s Who of politicians and celebrities. While the vast majority of those people are undoubtedly wholly innocent, the book almost certainly contains the identities of many of the people who utilized his services.
There are a lot of folks who should get right with Jesus and make a proactive call to the prosecutors before they wind up on the other side of that call. In fact, it looks like this has already happened to a significant degree.
In the era of Trump, nothing ever gets better. Things always get worse. And there is no bottom.
Bill Clinton: Frequent Flyer on Jeffrey Epstein's 'Lolita Express'
Former Speaker of the California State Assembly and San Francisco mayor Willie Brown’s former mistress, senator and presidential wannabe Kamala Harris, said over the Fourth of July weekend that she knows a sexual predator when she sees one and President Trump is a predator. As the WashingtonExaminer reported:
Sen. Kamala Harris labeled President Trump a "predator" during a campaign event Wednesday in Des Moines, Iowa.“I know predators, and we have a predator living in the White House," the California Democrat stated.
She certainly does know predators. I have documented on these pages how Harrisused her relationship with Brown to advance her career and how she currently serves with one of the sexual predators par excellence Sen. Bob Menendez, who is the poster child for the double standard that insulates Democrats. The FBI found that Menendez and his political donor, Dr. Salmon Melgen, had a, how shall we say it, pay for “play” arrangement.
The Obama DOJ released a report in 2015, which detailed how they found “corroborating evidence” that Sen. Menendez and Democrat mega-donor Dr. Salomon Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.“Presented with specific, corroborated allegations that defendants Menendez and Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, the Government responsibly and dutifully investigated those serious allegations,” the DOJ wrote.
I mention these as a relevant preface to the news that billionaire pedophile, Clinton donor, and FOB (Friend of Bill Clinton) Jeffrey Epstein has been arrested on the charge if sex trafficking of minors. As the Daily Beast notes:
Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for allegedlysex trafficking dozens of minors in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005, and will appear in court in New York on Monday, according to three law enforcement sources….Saturday’s arrest by the FBI-NYPD Crimes Against Children Task Force comes about 12 years after the 66-year-old financier essentially got a slap on the wrist for allegedly molesting dozens of underage girls in Florida. In an era where #MeToo has toppled powerful men, Epstein’s name was largely absent from the national conversation, until theMiami Herald published a three-part series on how his wealth, power and influence shielded him from federal prosecution.
Well, more powerful men, mainly Democrats, may be toppled, perhaps none other than one William Jefferson Clinton, according to Christine Pelosi, DNC official and daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As Fox News reports:
Christine Pelosi, a Democratic National Committee official and daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, warned conspicuously on Saturday evening that it is "quite likely that some of our faves are implicated" in the "horrific" sex-trafficking case against politically connected financier Jeffrey Epstein…It was unclear exactly to whom Pelosi was referring, but Epstein has long been connected with high-profile figures, including Britain's Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton. Court documents obtained by Fox News in 2016 showed that Clinton took at least 26 trips flying aboard Epstein's private jet, known as the "Lolita Express," and apparently ditched his Secret Service detail on some of the excursions.
The belated attempt by the left to cover its hypocrisy on sexual predators by throwing Bill and Hillary Clinton under the bus once they have no further political use for them is staggering. They forget their mantra that his being serviced by Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office was personal and didn’t matter as long as he was doing a good job as President. It was the GOP, you know, that was waging a war on women.
Republicans were the predators, as serial accuser and so-called feminist lawyer Gloria Allred reminded us when she appeared with a box of tissue and victims to accuse GOP candidates Herman Cain, Donald Trump andJudge Roy Moore, She is not going to be found at a press conference with the victims ofSen. Bob Menendez, Sen. Al Franken, and Rep. John Conyers.
The “right on the issues” defense does not apply to Republicans like Roy Moore, nor does the presumption of innocence. Democratic hypocrites rushed to condemn Moore faster than you can say “Anthony Weiner.” Franken, Menendez, and Conyers are right on the issues, which may be why the chorus for their unseating is, to say the least, somewhat muted. Judge Moore has been accused of dallying with underage girls, which is a charge his accusers are mysteriously not bringing up against Bill Clinton, a frequent passenger on the jet of accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton had a habit of ditching his Secret Service protection when flying with child predator Epstein on his “Lolita Express”:
Fox News reported Friday that records show Mr. Clinton declined Secret Service protection on at least five flights. The network’s investigation reveals Mr. Clinton flew on the Boeing 727 “Lolita Express” 26 times, more than doubling the previously reported 11 trips.“Bill Clinton … associated with a man like Jeffrey Epstein, who everyone in New York, certainly within his inner circles, knew was a pedophile. Why would a former president associate with a man like that?” said ConchitaSarnoff of the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit Alliance to Rescue Victims of Trafficking, Fox reported. Ms. Conchita also authored a book on Mr. Epstein titled “TrafficKing.”Mr. Epstein was arrested in 2005 and signed a plea agreement in 2007 with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, accepting a single charge of soliciting prostitution. He agreed to a 30-month sentence, registered as a “Tier 1” sex offender with the U.S. Virgin Islands and paid dozens of young girls under a federal statute providing for compensation to victims of child sexual abuse.A Clinton spokesperson did not return the network’s emails requesting comment. Martin Weinberg, Mr. Epstein’s attorney, declined multiple inquiries into the flights.
It is not known how many times Bill Clinton had his seat and tray table in the upright and locked position when flying with Jeffrey Epstein or whether their conversations revolved around golf and grandchildren. It is not known why Clinton flew so many times with a child sex predator. Given Bill Clinton’s track record and Epstein’s expertise on procurement, one doubts it was to solicit donations to the Clinton Foundation. As the Fox News report noted:
Epstein, who counts among his pals royal figures, heads of state, celebrities and fellow billionaires, spent 13 months in prison and home detention for solicitation and procurement of minors for prostitution. He allegedly had a team of traffickers who procured girls as young as 12 to service his friends on “Orgy Island,” an estate on Epstein's 72-acre island, called Little St. James, in the U.S. Virgin Islands….Official flight logs filed with the Federal Aviation Administration show Clinton traveled on some of the trips with as many as 10 U.S. Secret Service agents. However, on a five-leg Asia trip between May 22 and May 25, 2002, not a single Secret Service agent is listed. The U.S. Secret Service has declined to answer multiple Freedom of Information Act requests filed by FoxNews.com seeking information on these trips. Clinton would have been required to file a form to dismiss the agent detail, a former Secret Service agent told FoxNews.com.In response to a separate FOIA request from FoxNews.com, the U.S. Secret Service said it has no records showing agents were ever on the island with Clinton.
Gilligan’s Island this was not, and on these flights there was more amenities available than a beverage cart and a bag of peanuts, as the Daily Caller notes:
On one trip Clinton also traveled with actor Kevin Spacey, who is now accused of have sex with an underage boy.Clinton traveled aboard the “Lolita Express” with a soft core porn actress and traveled on 11 flights with Epstein’s assistant Sarah Kellen, who allegedly procured underage girls for men... Gawker reported Kellam was “accused in court filings of acting as pimps for him (Epstein), recruiting and grooming young girls into their network of child sex workers, and frequently participating in sex acts with them.”
Make some popcorn. The party of infanticide is about to exposed as the party of sexual predators

Speaking of willies: In Epstein case, Bill Clinton is going to find himself politically expendable
With the Epstein child-molesting scandal now breaking, attention is building for the most famous Democrat on the roster of Epstein's travel-mates, former president Bill Clinton. At long last, he may finally be going down.
He's been in trouble before, and he's wrought incredible trouble for the United States as a result. But he's always gotten away with it.
When the Monica Lewinsky sexual story broke, President Clinton engaged the insightful and effective political player Dick Morris to poll on the question of what to do about the breaking scandal:
Morris told the President that the public would forgive him for adultery but not for perjury or obstruction of justice, the President responded: 'We will just have to win then'.
With that political commander's guidance, "we just have to win" Clinton, Inc. went into full damage control, and it was totally disgusting.
In order to "just have to win," an insatiable greedy quest for money was activated. The Clinton machine sold the national security of the United States out to the People's Republic of China, to its Ministry of State Security. The Clintons needed campaign money to win so badly that everything they could get their grifter hands on was up for sale to the People's Liberation Army. Their lasting long-term damage to our national security is incalculable, particularly in the event of a war with China.
All because of a sex scandal and Clinton's inability to be truthful about it. Sadly, as the impeachment case against President Clinton built in the House of Representatives, the investigations into the loss of our high-tech military advantage to China were deemed a matter of second order and not part of the impeachment case. But it is the impact of what happened in the U.S. as a result that was the true scandal. Worse still, they got away with it. The Epstein case may not let Bill Clinton off so easily.
Personally, as the House Rules Committee national security investigator, I learned a lot about this China scandal. I was eventually allowed to co-author a book telling of this scandal: NYT bestseller Year of the Rat.
It was the best we all could do. Many other Regnery Press bestselling authors also went after Clinton, Inc. such as Gary Aldrich and Bill Gertz, but the Clinton, Inc. corruption machine was undaunted, and it reigned successfully until finally stopped by candidate and now president Donald Trump.
It is now with amazement that a new generation of Americans have just seen the famous Clinton playbook of impunity adultery crumple in less than twenty-four hours after Jeffrey Epstein was indicted. Previously, all that both Bill and Hillary simply had to do, either collectively or individually, was lie like a rug to avoid trouble for their misdeeds. Many in a compliant media establishment allowed them not just to survive, but to flourish. They're at the center of the scandal.
With the Epstein case, the habitual lies flat-out don't work, thanks to a diligent investigative author, Conchita Sarnoff, and Fox News's reporting.
"Almost every time that Clinton's name is on the pilot logs there are underage girls there are initials and there are names of many many girls on that private plane.""I'm saying, sadly, that he is not telling the truth."
What I see in this Epstein case is something more. From this day forward, "boom goes the dynamite" is operative. This scandal is finally is going to take down Clinton, Inc.
The Clintons got away with an amazing array of security breaches based on sexual and other misconduct in the past. But I do not think Bill Clinton realizes that this new generation of Democrats is not willing to defend him.
This may be a unique moment in time when Bill and Hillary, "two for the price of one," find themselves politically expendable. After all, they were given fair warning by the daughter of the speaker of the House, Christine Pelosi.
Christine Pelosi, a Democratic National Committee official and daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, warned conspicuously on Saturday evening that it is "quite likely that some of our faves are implicated" in the "horrific" sex-trafficking case against politically connected financier Jeffrey Epstein[.]
For Clinton, Inc., decades of corruption by the playbook are finally facing a day of reckoning. With art imitating life, a line rings out, spoken by the Marine "Animal Mother" in the epic Vietnam War movie Full Metal Jacket: "You're fresh out of friends."
Epstein's former Wall Street mentor: 'The Clinton relationship destroyed Jeffrey Epstein'
Here's a look at the Clinton-Epstein relationship through the other end of the telescope. What if the man who put Jeffrey Epstein on the path to mega-wealth and who knew him before Bill Clinton and the other movers and shakers can explain that it was Bill Clinton who was the corrupter-in-chief? Not Epstein running a lure for corrupting the rich and famous, but the other way around — corrupt Bill Clinton launching a man with too much money to spend on a path of alleged criminal perversion?
David Richardson, writing in The Observer, offers the mentor a platform. That mentor is, to be polite about it, a suspect source, currently living in the Graybar Hotel.
Jeffrey Epstein's former Wall Street mentor says the financier's coziness with former President Bill Clinton "absolutely" led to his ruin.
"The Clinton relationship destroyed Jeffrey Epstein and did not help Clinton. Because that was his first major high-profile relationship, and he enjoyed the media pizzazz, not understanding it and letting his ego be inflated by being put in articles next to a former president of the United States," Steven Hoffenberg told Observer. "That raised his pridefulness enormously. It inflated his ego… That changed him." (snip)
"As he increased his wealth, he became more godly in attitude," said Hoffenberg of his former protege. "Jeffrey Epstein, sadly to say, became a tragedy… What you've got is a tragedy for the girls."
Becoming a billionaire does a lot to raise "pridefulness" on its own. But Wall Street billionaires get a lot less public attention than presidents and former presidents, so maybe there is some truth to it. The billionaires have less influence on prosecutors than prominent politicians. The key question is why Epstein thought he was a "master of the universe" (in Tom Wolfe's expression), exempt from the law and common decency in acting out his sexual desires.
But we have to take Hoffenberg's charges with a grain of salt:
Hoffenberg's Tower Financial Corporation hired Epstein in the 1980s for $25,000 per month, though the two split in the years before the former pleaded guilty to defrauding investors in a massive Ponzi scheme. In 2002, Hoffenberg told reporter Vicky Ward in an interview from prison that Epstein's courtship of Clinton would draw attention to his business ventures, and the investor would be best served flying "below the radar."
There will be no shutting down this probe this time. #MeToo has changed the equation. The Left will not unite in suppressing the story. The radar is sensitive and covers all altitudes.
If you were facing life in prison, is there a better "big fish" to offer to prosecutors in return for a deal than a president or former president of the United States?

Unsealed Indictment Against Clinton Pal Jeffrey Epstein Shows Rampant Sexual Abuse of Minor Girls
|
A multi-count federal indictment of Grand Jury charges against billionaire and longtime Clinton ally Jeffery Epstein was unsealed Monday. It alleges abuse against dozens of underage girls. During a search warrant execution, federal agents found nude photos of the girls in Epstein's possession.
"As set forth herein, over the course of many years, Jeffery Epstein, the defendant, sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida, among other locations," the indictment states. "In particular, from at least in or about 2002, up to and including at least in or about 2005, Jeffery Epstein, the defendant, enticed and recruited, and caused to be enticed and
recruited, minor girls to visit his mansion in Manhattan, New York (the "New York Residence") and his estate in Palm Beach, Florida (the "Palm Beach Residence") to engage in sex acts with him, after which he would give the victims hundreds of dollars in cash. Moreover, and in order to maintain and increase his supply of victims, Epstein also paid certain of his victims to recruit additional girls to be similarly abused by Epstein. In this this way, Epstein created a vast network of underage victims for him to sexually exploit in locations including New York and Palm Beach."

U.S.
Attorney Geoffrey Berman: "While the charged conduct is from a number of

young women. They deserve their day in court. We are proud to be standing up
for them." abcn.ws/2Jls9PR
There is no ignorance here and Epstein allegedly sought out girls specially because they were vulnerable and underage.
"The victims described herein were as young as 14 years old at the time they were abused by Jeffrey Epstein, the defendant, and were, for various reasons, often particularly vulnerable to exploitation. Epstein intentionally sought out minors and knew that many of his victims were in fact under the 'age of 18, including because, in some instances, minor victims expressly told him their age," the indictment continues.

Recruitment was also done by Epstein's employees, who often escorted the girls to a private room where he would be waiting.
Epstein was arrested on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 pm et. He will be arraigned in court Monday afternoon.
As for Epstein's high profile friends who also may have also participated in his crimes, prosecutors aren't talking.
U.S.
Attorney Geoffrey Berman says he will not comment on any individuals who may or
may not be associated with Epstein.
"My answer will be 'no comment.' That will be across the board...I urge you not to read anything into that one way or the other."abcn.ws/2Jls9PR
