The House judiciary committee will debate and vote Wednesday on a bill to award multiple amnesties to the agriculture industry’s large illegal-immigrant workforce.

The “Farm Workforce Modernization Act of 2019” would also convert swathes of rural America into cheap-labor, low-tech company towns. The bill would allow employers to hire from the unlimited inflow of H-2A visa-workers whose low wages will be capped by government officials working hand-in-glove with cheap-labor employers — so leaving many Americans unemployed or underpaid in their own community.
“This is only a short-term—and despicable—solution for keeping workers on the farm,”  said NumbersUSA policy director Rosemary Jenks, who added;
Rather than providing incentives for mechanization to reduce the need for manual labor, or even just streamlining the existing H-2A program, the sponsors of H.R. 5038 decided that it is time to complete the hollowing out of several other industries, in addition to seasonal farm work. They kept the numerically unlimited H-2A [visa-worker] category for seasonal work, but created a new, non-seasonal, year-round category so that at least 20,000 (and potentially many more) low-paid foreign workers can be imported each year to work at dairies, meat-packing plants, fish canneries, nurseries, and more.
Some of the committee’s Republicans will support the bill, predicted Jessica Vaughan, policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies. “I think they think it is a good thing for their community – but it is very shortsighted,” she said
“They can’t see the long-term cost of supporting this,” she said, and continued:
It is going to create a perverse incentive to expand that [cheap labor] sector of the economy because it will be subsidized by the supply of cheap labor, and it will suck investment and energy out of other types of economic activities that would be more beneficial [because] it perpetuates an outdated way of doing things that is expensive for taxpayers and damaging for quality of life. It is not going to pay off or bring a lot of benefits for the local economy — it is a very short-sighted view.
The GOP members on the committee include Rep. Doug Collins from Georgia, Rep. James Sensenbrenner from Wisconsin, Rep.Steve Chabot from Ohio, Rep. Louie Gohmert from Texas, Rep.Jim Jordan from Ohio, Rep.Ken Buck from Colorado, Rep.John Ratcliffe from Texas, Rep. Martha Roby from Alabama, Rep. Matt Gaetz from Florida, Rep. Mike Johnson from Louisiana, Rep. Debbie Lesko from Arizona, Rep.Guy Reschenthaler from Ohio, Rep. Ben Cline from Virginia, Rep. Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota, and Rep.Gregory Steube of Florida.
Some of the Republicans believe employers are entitled to a government-supplied labor supply, which would free them from the requirement to bargain with employees to set a fair day’s wage.

Democrats draft crony amnesty bill to give the farm industry cheaper labor now in a swap for 1 million+ illegal-migrant voters after 2030. But it offers nothing to Americans who lose wages, nor $$ to hasten labor-saving automation. A giveaway like http://bit.ly/34eqqnk

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC says it will asks it members to oppose the amnesty:
ALIPAC believes the Amnesty bill will convert millions of illegals into US citizens, tilting all future national elections, and many states over to the socialist wing of the Democratic Party permanently as American voters and workers cannot compete with unending waves of illegals from around the world.
“We have defeated AgJobs Amnesty bills like HR 4916 before because Amnesty bills would encourage millions of future illegals to enter the US while rewarding left wing politicians and candidates and greedy corporations with a new population to be intentionally used to displace and replace Americans in our jobs, elections, schools, health care resources, and communities,” explained William Gheen, President of ALIPAC.us.
The H.R. 5038  bill, said Jenks, starts by giving:
amnesty—including work permits, green cards, and a path to citizenship—to illegal aliens who have been unlawfully employed in agriculture at least part-time during the past two years. In fact, illegal aliens who spent just most weekends working in agriculture over two years would qualify, since only 1,035 hours or 180 workdays are required.
The illegal workers would first get a “Certified Agriculture Worker” status and a work permit that allow them to compete for jobs throughout the United States. The CAW status could be converted after several years into the huge reward of citizenship for the workers and their families.
The mass amnesty and the CAW work-permits, however, will ensure that a large share of the former illegals — roughly 500,000 workers plus their families — will quickly migrate from the farms to the nation’s cities and towns. The huge supply of cheap labor will help suppress wages for Americans — including legal immigrants — and so further raise support for the big-government, tax-and-spend policies championed by the Democratic Party.
On the farms, and in the meat-processing plants, the departing illegals will be replaced by the uncapped and permanent inflow of low-wage H-2A workers, whose wages will be set by government agencies, not by a free market.  This endless supply of regulated and cheap labor will minimize the need for farm companies and meat-processors to upgrade their technology or to pay the higher wages needed for prosperity in the rural towns. According to Jenks:
The sponsors of the Farm Workforce Modernization Act decided to address this problem by regressing to the 17th Century practice of indenturing these newly amnestied agricultural workers for various durations.
The same replacement policy has been used in the technology sector, ensuring that many Americans graduates have been sidelined while jobs and opportunities are hoarded by the Indian workers and managers who were hired by U.S. investors via the H-1B program. The H-1B program keeps roughly 750,000 foreign graduates in U.S. white-collar jobs, so pushing Americans out of critical jobs, such as information security, privacy protection, recruitment, technology development, and much else.
Many of the Indian H-1B workers are working while hoping to win the huge prize of citizenship from their original employers. That dangled prize makes them immobile, putting them in a situation similar to indentured workers in the 1700s.
Some GOP Senators are now pushing a bill — S.386 — which would expand the use of indentured white-collar workers by offering to eventually reward more Indian graduates if they take the white-collar jobs sought by U.S. college graduates.
In the House judiciary committee, Rep. Buck from Colorado sponsored the House version of the S.386 bill.
The farm amnesty bill offers 40,000 green-cards to H-2A workers each year, so encouraging them to accept lower wages in the hope of getting citizenship.

House ag-worker amnesty bill is progressive cronyism; Dems get 500K extra voters by 2030, while ag-biz degrades farm communities into 'company towns.' Americans lose wages, wealth & communities, but media will treat the debate as 'civil rights' vs 'racism' http://bit.ly/33pN8sn

The likely impact of this rural cheap-labor economy is spotlighted by Worthington, Minn., where local business groups and progressives have jointly welcomed waves of low-wage migrants into the city’s retail and slaughterhouse jobs, into housing, and into the schools.
The migrants include many illegals who sneaked across the border, as well as many Central Americans who used border-law loopholes to get temporarily released into the United States. Many of these migrants also use the joint cartel-federal “Unaccompanied Alien Child” route to bring their children up from the border.
This illegal and semi-legal population provides many new customers to local retailers, landlords, and education officials, a steady supply of replacement labor to the 2,000-person JBS slaughterhouse, and an easy opportunity for local elites to dismiss civic and economic concerns as mere bigotry. The Star Tribune reported:
“In the downtown, all the storefronts are full and it’s busy,” said Sharon Johnson, a lifelong resident who owns a downtown jewelry store and also serves as director of community education. “The cultures we are exposed to through music and food and art have really made this a wonderful place to live.”
Bill Keitel owns Buffalo Billfold Co., a leather goods shop, and also owns rental property. “As a landlord, if I didn’t have these immigrants, my property values would plummet — as would everybody’s,” he said. “I look on them as our salvation, not our problem.”
Mike Kuhle, the Worthington mayor, celebrated the JBS factory and its imported workforce:
The JBS pork processing plant has grown because of the available workforce in our community. Its economic impact on our community and surrounding area is around $100 million in the form of wages, real estate taxes, sales taxes and hogs purchased from farmers within 100 miles of Worthington. Approximately 24,000 hogs are processed each day, from which the farmers benefit financially. The crops they grow that are turned into feed help to increase the value of their products. The hog facilities needed to grow the animals to meet the demand of JBS are an important source of income as well.
In the end. immigrants just want a chance for a better life, and the children want to be united with their families. Worthington needs employees to grow and prosper.
But local voters — who are mostly employees, such as truck drivers — repeatedly rejected a string of tax-raising proposals by the local council which wants to expand the local school for the child migrants.
In response, the Tribune printed the claim by employers that “racist element” among the voters opposed the tax increases to benefit the children of illegal migrants. The claim came from Linden Olson, who is a retired farmer and the treasurer of the school board:
In Olson’s view, the nearly $34 million bonding request, most of it slated for a new intermediate school, faces opposition from three groups: older residents, farmers concerned about taxes and “the racist element.”
“In my opinion, there is a sizable number of voters in our district that will not support any bond referendum for schools because they do not want to pay to educate ‘those kids,’?” Olson said. “There is a very strong racist attitude that is present and that few people are willing to deal with.”
The mayor also blamed the class dispute on unidentified racists, not on the city elite’s welcome for illegal labor:
I believe that the majority of our residents are not racist, but circumstances beyond our control are causing the problems.
Instead of recognizing the class politics, the Washington Post played up the racist claim, and hid the evidence that many of the imported workers are illegals who force down Americans’ wages and nudge up their rents:
Those [school] children, some of whom crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone, have fueled a bitter debate about immigration in Worthington, a community of 13,000 that has received more unaccompanied minors per capita than almost anywhere in the country, according to data from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Five times in just over five years, the district has asked residents to approve an expansion of its schools to handle the surge in enrollment. Five times, the voters have refused — the last time by a margin of just 17 votes. A sixth referendum is scheduled for November.
But the Post inadvertently showed how the inflow of migrants suppresses Americans’ wages:
One 17-year-old asylum seeker from Guatemala said he cleaned a meatpacking plant by night, attended class by day and milked cows in the afternoon before grabbing a few hours of sleep.
But he could never fully repay the Worthington relative with whom he was living. Now 18, he’s dropped out of school, moved to another state and works construction. His asylum hearing is scheduled for March in Minneapolis but he fears he won’t have the money to attend, forfeiting his already uphill battle for asylum.
On November 5, local business leaders narrowly defeated the voters — 1,719 to 1,700 — to impose $34 million in spending on town’s taxpayers. The Bemidji Pioneer reported:
Worthington School District residents approved all three of the district’s referendum questions. Passage of all three questions means the district gave the green light for the district to sell up to $33.7 million in general obligation bonds to construct a new intermediate school designed to educate 900 third , fourth and fifth-grade students. The district is [also] committing $5 million from its general fund to account for the estimated $38.7 million project.
The example of Worthington shows how the economies and cultures of America’s towns can be reshaped by the federal government’s supply of cheap labor, said Vaughan:
There is a cultural clash because a lot of these workers come from parts of the world where the social norms are different – they don’t have a lot of experience driving, their family networks are not present — which [otherwise] would be a normal constraint on their behavior.
The economic and civic problems brought by illegal migration will not be waived away by legalization, she said. “The displacement of American workers that happened, the strains on the school system from families settling in the area, and the accompanying criminal problems, such as drug trafficking and prostitution rings. These things go along with allowing the establishment of sizeable populations of illegal young male workers.”

Some Democrats may vote against the amnesty, Vaughan said.
She warned that “Democrats who are willing to stay true to their principles of opposing legislation that is bad for employees …are out-numbered and out-maneuvered by the more-immigration faction, the progressives who only want more immigrants, regardless of the effect on American employees or immigrant workers.”
Some Republicans are going to vote for the amnesty, Vaughan said. ‘I think they think it is a good thing for their community — but it is very short-sighted. They can’t see the long-term cost of supporting this.”

Angel Dad After Son’s Alleged Murder by MS-13 Illegal Aliens: Sanctuary Counties ‘Need to Change’

Angel Dad
KOMO/KIRO7 News

An Angel Dad whose son was allegedly murdered by two illegal alien members of the MS-13 gang says sanctuary counties “need to change” their policies to protect residents.

As Breitbart News reported last month, Rudy Osvaldo Garcia-Hernandez, a 28-year-old illegal alien, and Carlos Orlando Iraheta-Vega, a 20-year-old illegal alien, have each been charged with murdering 16-year-old Juan Carlos Con Guzman in King County, Washington.
King County is one of the most expansive sanctuary counties in the nation. In this case, Garcia-Hernandez and Iraheta-Vega were previously in local custody but were released to the public against the wishes of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
Guzman’s immigrant father Juan Carlos Con Chiquin told KOMO News that if King County had turned the two illegal aliens over to ICE agents, his son may still be alive.
“They need to change a little bit … in these circumstances, they [need to] work more hard and together,” Chiquin said of sanctuary jurisdictions.

Today, Chiquin said his son’s memorial sits at the front of his home, something that he described as breaking his heart each time he walks through the front door.
“They take all my love. They broke my heart. Broke everything,” Chiquin said.
Garcia-Hernandez and Iraheta-Vega are reported members of the MS-13 gang. The violent street gang, based out of El Salvador, has built a growing army of El Salvadoran illegal and legal immigrants in the U.S.
According to prosecutors, Guzman was lured by the two illegal aliens into a remote location for a fight. When the victim arrived, prosecutors said Garcia-Hernandez and Iraheta-Vega beat the 16-year-old boy with a baseball bat and then tortured him by hacking off his limbs with a machete and leaving his dead body in a nearby river.
The illegal aliens are each being held in King County Jail on a $3 million bond.
As Breitbart News has chronicled, King County has routinely shielded criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation. In a recent case, an illegal alien rapist was released from prison and allegedly hunted down his victim — a disabled woman — and attacked her. The illegal alien is now wanted for the attack and is believed to have fled to Mexico.

Study Says ‘Dreamer’ Population Has Risen by over 1 Million Since 2007

NEWARK, NJ - SEPTEMBER 06: Immigration activists protest the Trump administration's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program on September 6, 2017. in Newark, New Jersey. The decision represents a blow to young undocumented immigrants, also known as 'dreamers,' who have been shielded from deportation under …

The population of so-called “Dreamer” illegal aliens has risen by at least one million since President Barack Obama announced his Rose Garden DACA amnesty for child migrants who entered the United States before 2007.

“As of 2017, we estimate that the United States has more than 1.1 million illegal immigrants who arrived before the age of 16 but are not eligible for the current DACA program because they arrived after the [2007] cutoff time,” said a November 18 study by Jason Richwine, a demographer who works with the Center for Immigration Studies.
Many more children were brought over the border in 2018 and 2019 because border defenses were paralyzed by the alliance of Democrats, immigration lawyers, judges, and cheap-labor Republicans. In part, the rush of foreign parents with children came because the migrants saw the Democrats offering the huge prize of citizenship to the prior wave of DACA illegal aliens.
According to Richwine:
[In 2018 and 2019], border apprehensions have increased dramatically, so did the predicted number of childhood arrivals whom we would expect to observe in the ACS [the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey]: 227,000 in 2018 and a remarkable 437,000 in 2019, according to the model … it is plausible that the pool of potential DACA recipients has grown enormously in the last two years, as the number of family units apprehended at the border certainly has.
Any amnesty would lower Americans’ wages by raising the labor supply, bump up Americans’ rents by growing the population, further pack Americans’ blue-collar schools with migrant children, and continue to shift the focus of American politics away from Americans’ priorities.
Richwine’s data suggests a DACA amnesty could include nearly four million youths and children — which is roughly equal to the number of young Americans who will turn 18 this year.
In June, Democrats passed their “Dream and Promise Act” amnesty, which was low-balled by supporters as an amnesty for 2.5 million illegal aliens. That number included non-DACA migrants who are facing a legal end to their “Temporary Protective Status” (TPS) and “Deferred Enforced Departure” (DED) programs.
For example, the Washington Post downplayed the illegality of the migrants and their numbers, saying in a headline that “House Democrats propose offering 2 million immigrants the chance to apply for U.S. citizenship.”
One pro-migration group estimated the beneficiaries would total 2.7 million illegal aliens and TPS migrants:
[The Migration Policy Institute] estimates that 2.3 million DREAMers would be eligible for conditional legal status under the bill, and 429,000 TPS and DED holders could apply immediately for legal permanent residence (also known as getting a green card). All told, MPI estimates that HR 6 would put slightly less than 2.7 million of the nation’s estimated 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants on a path to a green card.
That MPI estimate excludes the one million-plus population identified by Richwine — even though the Democrats’ bill explicitly bars the deportation of the younger-than-DACA illegal aliens. According to the MPI:
The measure would also block the deportation of anyone under age 18 who entered the country at least four years before the bill’s enactment, under the assumption that they would become eligible for conditional status as they further their education. In doing so, the measure would also offer work authorization to these unauthorized immigrant minors, as it would to anyone applying for legal status under HR 6, while the application is pending.
Moreover, the Democrats’ bill would prevent the deportation of anyone — including recent arrivals and suspected criminals — until officials could show they are ineligible for the broadened amnesty. The MPI said:
the bill would make people ineligible for deportation if they could show that, at first glance, they were eligible for legal status under HR 6 or through other existing channels, such as asylum or cancellation of removal. (Cancellation of removal is available to unauthorized immigrants who have lived in the United States for at least 10 years; show good moral character; and who have a U.S.-citizen or lawful permanent resident parent, spouse, or child who would suffer extreme consequences if the applicant were removed.)
Moreover, any of the DACA amnesties would put the DACA illegal aliens on a track to citizenship — and so allow them to campaign for an amnesty of the illegal immigrant parents who brought them as children into the United States.
DACA legalization would also open up new channels of chain migration, although the annual inflow would not increase unless Democrats also voted to expand the inflow of roughly one million foreigners each year.

Immigration Numbers:
Each year, roughly four million young Americans join the workforce after graduating from high school or a university. This total includes about 800,000 Americans who graduate with skilled degrees in business or health care, engineering or science, software, or statistics.
But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants. It also adds replacement workers to a resident population of more than 1.5 million white-collar visa workers — including approximately one million H-1B workers and about 500,000 blue-collar H-2B, H-2A, and J-1 visa workers. The government also prints more than one million work permits for new foreigners, and it rarely punishes companies for employing illegal migrants.
This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth and stock values for investors. The stimulus happens because the extra labor ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.
The federal policy of flooding the market with cheap, foreign white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor shifts wealth from young employees toward older investors. It also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, reduces marriage rates, and hurts children’s schools and college educations.
The cheap-labor economic strategy also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and it sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with drug addictions.
The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the Heartland to the coastal cities, explodes rents and housing costs, undermines suburbia, shrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces.
But President Donald Trump’s “Hire American” policy is boosting wages by capping immigration within a growing economy.
The Census Bureau said September 10 that men who work full-time and year-round got an earnings boost of 3.4 percent in 2018, pushing their median salaries up to $55,291. Women gained 3.3 percent in wages, bringing their median salaries to $45,097 for full-time, year-round work.

WSJ shows Donald Trump is building a high-low GOP which combines wealthy & more blue-collar employees. Dems have a similar high-low blend of progressives & non-white poor. So who champions the economic needs of mid-career college graduates? http://bit.ly/2W11Weq

Protesters gathered at the United States Supreme Court on Tuesday as oral arguments were taking place inside the chamber about the fate of Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA). They vowed to stay in the United States no matter what the High Court decides next summer.

Marielena Hincapié, executive director of the National Immigration Law Center, told protesters that they should not have to leave regardless of the court’s ruling.
“You belong here,” Hincapié said. “Home is here.
“Home is here!” The crowd chanted. “Home is here!”
Hincapié said her left-wing organization would fight for the so-called “Dreamers” every day and predicted the court would rule in their favor.

Ted Olson, who served as George W. Bush’s Solicitor General, was in the Supreme Court on Tuesday to argue that DACA is a “lawful, legitimate” and “constitutional” program that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano “signed into law.”
DACA, in fact, was put in place through Obama’s executive action in 2012 and implemented by DHS.
Olson said he cared “deeply” for DACA recipients and was “honored” to represent them before the Supreme Court.

Olson said he wanted Americans to see the faces of protesters so they would know how important immigrants are to American society.
Greisa Martinez Rosas, who is deputy executive director of United We Dream, an organization founded and populated with youth that are in the country illegally, addressed the protesters who held signs that read “No human is illegal” and “Stop the Wall.”
“Today thousands of undocumented youth & allies are walking out to defend #DACA,” Martinez Rosas tweeted with the hashtags SCOTUS #Heretostay #HomeIsHere

This master-race theory, as the Communist Bert Corona called it, is certified gospel for politicians such as California senate boss Kevin de Leon who wrote the state’s sanctuary law. That’s why he gives state jobs to false-documented illegals, a violation of state law. California privileges illegals with in-state tuition and admission preference on the basis of ethnicity, another violation of state law.
If the illegals are violent criminals, de Leon, governor Jerry Brown and attorney general Xavier Becerra believe they are still better people and protect them from deportation. And this fall one million illegals could be voting in California alone

Mexican Invasion

By Tom Barrett
At the current rate of invasion (mostly through Mexico, but also through Canada) the United States will be completely over run with illegal aliens by the year 2025. I’m not talking about legal immigrants who follow US law to become citizens. In less than 20 years, if we do not stop the invasion, ILLEGAL aliens and their offspring will be the dominant population in the United States. According to US Border Control (see LINK below). “They will have made such inroads into the political and social systems that they will have more influence than our Constitution over how the U.S. is governed. The ugly consequence of an ignored U.S. Constitution is already taking place.” The millions upon millions of illegal aliens streaming into the US are the foundation for what could be another attempt at secession by several US states. Many of them will use ill-conceived programs that reward illegal immigration to become US citizens. Other illegals will simply go to the polls and vote without taking the trouble to apply for citizenship. Together, these groups could form a voting block that could tear our nation apart. Those of you who read the email version of this column should go to www.ConservativeTruth.org to see the map posted there. It shows the borders of a new nation proposed by influential Mexican nationals and Hispanic US Citizens. (See LINK below: Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland'.) It includes six northern states of Mexican, as well as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and southern Colorado. The idea of a Hispanic Homeland could be ignored as the pipedream of crackpots if a substantial majority of Mexican citizens did not support it. A Zogby poll of Mexicans done in June 2002 revealed that a substantial majority of Mexican citizens believe that southwestern America properly belongs to Mexico. They said that Mexicans do not need the permission of the U.S. to enter this territory. 58 percent of Mexican citizens agreed with this statement: "The territory of the United States' southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Only 28 percent disagreed with the statement. Listen to what some Mexican government officials and US leaders (including politicians and Professors at taxpayer-funded Universities) have to say on this subject. Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of La Raza Unida political party screams at rallies: "We have an aging white America. They are dying. They are ******** in their pants with fear! I love it! We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him!" (See LINK below.) Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council "They’re afraid we’re going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They’re right. We will take them over. Mario Obledo, California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Jerry Brown, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Bill Clinton, says, “California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave." Proposition 187 was the California initiative supported by a majority of Californians that denied taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens. Speaking at a Latino gathering in response to Proposition 187’s passage in 1995, Art Torres, the Chairman of the California Democratic Party, said: "Power is not given to you. You have to take it. Remember, 187 is the last gasp of white America in California." The national newspaper of Mexico, Excelsior: "The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot." Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor: "We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country...I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I’m going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back." Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General: “We are practicing ‘La Reconquista’ in California." "Reconquista" means the reconquest of the US southwest by Mexico. (See LINK below.). These people are serious! They think they are going to take US territory. The Mexican President declared it here in our country, and Bill Clinton signed a Presidential Executive Order that paves the way for at least part of Mexico’s dream. Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo said in Chicago on July 23, 1997, "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important – a very important – part of this. For this reason, my government proposed a constitutional amendment to allow any Mexican with the right and the desire to acquire another nationality to do so without being forced to first give up his or her Mexican nationality." Translation: It is next to impossible to receive Mexican citizenship unless you can prove you are of Mexican descent. But Mexico knows that the US has soft immigration laws and will grant citizenship to almost anyone. (After all, we grant citizenship every day to immigrants from countries who have sworn to destroy us.) So Mexico wants to take advantage of this ridiculous situation by encouraging their citizens to apply for US citizenship while keeping Mexican citizenship. That way the Mexican government can influence the political process here in the US. Executive Order 13122, signed on May 25, 1999, by the most treasonous president this nation has ever been cursed with, Bill Clinton, established an Interagency Task Force on the Economic Development of the Southwest Border. Part of the Order reads, "The Southwest Border or Southwest Border region is defined as including the areas up to 150 miles north of the United States-Mexican border in the States of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and California." According to experts on international law, this sets the stage for a 150-mile-wide “Border Zone” that will neither belong to Mexico or the US. This could then become the first area of a Hispanic Nation that would eventually encompass the areas shown in the map of the proposed Republica del Norte (The Northern Republic). Our government, pushed by liberal Democrats, has been systematically laying the groundwork for such a breakaway republic. Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts? It’s called affirmative action or racial privilege. Some time ago a vote was taken in the U.S. Congress to end this practice. It was defeated. Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants. They were joined by thirteen Republicans. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good. They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants. Mexico, a nation that has benefited enormously from American generosity is now working to destabilize our country. Is “destabilize” too strong a word? I don’t think so. Whether or not Mexican leaders think they can actually create enough hatred against “gringos” to accomplish the creation of a new republic made up of mainly US territory, they know that pushing that agenda will cause huge political problems here and allow Mexico to accomplish many of their goals. Is the government of Mexico behind this? You have seen quotes from a Mexican President and a Mexican Consul General in support of it. They have everything to gain and little to lose by pushing it. The Mexican government is also pushing illegal immigration, which destabilizes our economy. The US Border Control website (see LINK below) shows an illustration from a Mexican government publication showing their citizens how to best illegally enter the US. Why? It takes the strain of taking care of unemployed Mexicans off the Mexican treasury and puts it on the US treasury. And when the illegals get on welfare, they send some of their money home, which helps the Mexican economy. All this talk by Mexican and US officials about the US illegally occupying Mexican territory does nothing but breed racial hatred. The sad thing is that none of this is about race. It is about the things that all wars and conflicts are about: Greed, power and money. I don’t like to talk about a problem without offering a solution. The US politicians and professors who advocate taking US territory are guilty of sedition. Remove them from their offices and (hopefully) put them in a federal penitentiary where they can consider the error of their ways. The Mexican politicians who do the same are guilty of inciting sedition. This is very close to an act of war. Immediately cut of all economic aid to Mexico until its government publicly disavows this lunatic plan. Finally, we must realize that we can’t stop this by marching US troops into Mexico. We should use troops to guard our borders, because the US Border Patrol cannot cover the huge US-Mexico border without help. And we need to use pass laws that will stop the government from rewarding illegal immigrants at the expense of those who follow the law. We have a huge immigration problem in this country. This ridiculous Hispanic Homeland idea is just a symptom of the problem. INTERNET RESEARCH: Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland' 1. http://www.aztlan.net/homeland.htm
Professor Predicts 'Hispanic Homeland' ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A University of New Mexico Chicano Studies professor predicts a new, sovereign Hispanic nation within the century, taking in the Southwest and several northern states of Mexico. Charles Truxillo suggests the “Republica del Norte,” the Republic of the North, is “an inevitability.” He envisions it encompassing all of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and southern Colorado, plus the northern tier of Mexican states: Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. Along both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border “there is a growing fusion, a reviving of connections,” Truxillo said. “Southwest Chicanos and Norteño Mexicanos are becoming one people again.” Truxillo, 47, has said the new country should be brought into being “by any means necessary,” but recently said it was unlikely to be formed by civil war. Instead, its creation will be accomplished by the electoral pressure of the future majority Hispanic population in the region, he said.

California has its first “unprotected” illegal alien in state office, after Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) appointed Lizbeth Mateo to the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee.

Mateo, an attorney, was born in Mexico and came to the U.S. illegally at the age of 14 with her parents, who are also illegal aliens, according to the Sacramento Bee.

In #lawschool I often wondered if I was fit to b in #lawjournal#mootcourt bc not many ppl w/ my same background did. I always went for it bc even if I felt inadequate I thought I could add something of value. I hope to do the same w/ @StudentAidCommission. #undocumentedunafraid https://twitter.com/AraceliMartinez/status/974076293850447872

Thank you Sen. @kdeleon for appointing me to the CalSOAP Advisory Committee. I look forward to working w/ the rest of the committee & the Student Aid Commission in such important task - increase the accessibility of postsecondary education opportunities for low-income students.

She complained that illegal aliens are not adequately represented in state government, and described her appointment as a step towards correcting that alleged injustice.
“While undocumented students have become more visible in our state, they remain underrepresented in places where decisions that affect them are being made,” Mateo said, as quoted by Fox News.
De León, who is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), described Mateo as: “a courageous, determined and intelligent young woman who at great personal risk has dedicated herself to fight for those seeking their rightful place in this country,” according to Fox News.
Mateo, however, seems somewhat confused about which country she prefers.
In a Facebook post in 2016, apparently celebrating her graduation from Santa Clara University School of Law, Mateo declared, in Spanish: “[E]verything is dedicated to Oaxaca, Mexico!! to that land that I miss so much.”

While she is the first illegal alien to hold a state office, she is not the first elevated to public office in California. In 2015, the city council of Huntington Park, California, appointed two illegal aliens to city commissions, sparking a public backlash.
De León and other state officials are stoking an ongoing confrontation with the federal government over federal immigration laws.

Mr Niec in a photo taken from his employer's website: Bronson Healthcare
A respected doctor who has been in the United States for nearly 40 years has been picked up by American immigration agents after the Trump administration denied his attempt to renew his green card.
Lukas Niec, an internal medicine doctor known for long hours at the hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was picked up by Immigration and Customs enforcement agents over the weekend.
He’s now reportedly sitting in a jail cell waiting for word on when he’ll be allowed to return to his normal life — or if he’ll allowed to do so at all.
Mr Niec, an internal medicine doctor at Kalamazoo’s Bronson Methodist Hospital, moved to the United States nearly 40 years ago when he was five years old. His parents brought him from Poland in 1979, alongside his sister, who said that they had packed just two suitcases before making the journey.
“In 1979, my parents were both doctors, left Poland, and took two suitcases and two small children — my brother was five, and I was six, and they came here for a better life for their kids,” Iwona Niec-Villaire, Mr Niec’s sister, told a local reporter.
But now Mr Niec is facing potential deportation after living here for the vast majority of his life.
“He doesn’t even speak Polish,” Ms Niec-Villaire, who is now an attorney, said.
The arrest was made Tuesday while Mr Niec was enjoying a day off with his daughters at a lake home he owns near Kalamazoo. Three Immigration and Customs agents entered the home and took him into custody.
“While Bronson Healthcare, like others, respects the laws and regulations concerning United States immigration, we are following the situation surrounding the detention of Dr. Lukasz Niec closely and are doing everything we can to advocate for Dr. Niec,” the hospital where he works wrote in a statement Monday. “We have been in contact with our elected representatives and we have our immigration counsel coordinating with Dr. Niec’s attorney to explore all options to secure his prompt release from detention.”
The Trump administration has overseen a spike in immigrant arrests over the past year, and US immigration services say that the priority for arrests and raids made is to target individuals with criminal or dangerous histories. While arrests have been elevated, there have been fewer over all deportations since President Donald Trump took office.
ICE did not respond to a request for comment about Mr Niec’s case, and for clarification on how his history qualified him as a target for the agency.

New York, California Moving to Permit Illegal Aliens to Practice Law?

Sapna Rampersaud has written an article for National Review Online's The Corner titled "Illegal Immigrants Can Now Defend the Laws They Break,"detailing how the states of New York and California have moved to permit illegal aliens to practice law. This is the kind of thing one might expect to see as a headline on the satirical website The Onion, but, sadly, it's true.
Actually, they've been headed that way for some time. John Feere, previously a legal policy analyst here at the Center, wrote about California's efforts clear back in January of 2014, and commented on the back flips achieved by the California Supreme Court in deciding that permitting illegal aliens to practice law was copacetic:
“[N]ew lawyers must take an oath to ‘support the Constitution of the United States" and must also pass an ethics exam. The California Supreme Court explained in its holding that it "assumes’ that a licensed illegal alien ‘will make all necessary inquiries and take appropriate steps to comply with applicable legal restrictions.’ The Committee of Bar Examiners explained that ‘there is no reason to believe’ Garcia [the illegal alien applicant seeking approval to practice law] ‘cannot take the oath and faithfully uphold his duties as an attorney.’
“It is unclear why the court and the bar examiners would assume such things. Illegal immigrants regularly fail to comply with a whole host of laws. Within Garcia's own circle of family and friends one can identify a variety of potential legal violations, if media reports are accurate.
“Garcia admits to working a number of jobs prior to law school, and depending on how he obtained the work, he may be liable under False Personation of a U.S. Citizen (18 U.S.C. § 911), Fraud and False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001), and Social Security Fraud (42 U.S.C. § 408), just to name a few examples. We estimate that nearly half of working illegal aliens have filled out I-9 Forms and are likely in violation of these statutes. If the Obama administration decided to enforce federal immigration law, Garcia could potentially face many years in jail and significant fines. It is important to remember that these crimes often create real victims.”
In addition to Feere's very cogent observations, I'm also wondering how, exactly, an attorney who is illegally in the United States can be deemed an "officer of the court." Aren't the two things, when put together, inherently oxymoronic? An alien who has no lawful status must inevitably engage in deception and subterfuge in order to remain in the United States without being apprehended. That doesn't sound like the kind of upright behavior required of officers of the court.
Moving back to the article on The Corner, Rampersaud has her own version of the "Mr. Garcia" described above:
“One such lawyer is Lizbeth Mateo. Born in Mexico, Mateo and her family illegally crossed the border when she was 14 and have been residing in California ever since. In 2013, Mateo returned to Mexico knowing she had no legal visa to come back and, as part of what became known as the Bring Them Home Campaign, returned to the U.S. border with eight other children and demanded unauthorized reentry into the U.S. — which she was granted. Having graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law and working jobs that required the use of a stolen Social Security number, Mateo now spends her time as an immigration lawyer ‘preparing legal strategies to help undocumented immigrants stay in the country’ — all while flaunting her own undocumented status.”
As Rampersaud goes on to remark:
“This example illustrates the extent to which certain states both accept and encourage illegal immigration. Mateo is praised for being a ‘leader’ and a ‘bold advocate’ but should instead be described as what she is: a lawbreaker. Mateo has taken an oath of office to uphold the Constitution, but breaks federal law every day. Square that circle.”
She's right. You can't square that circle. But one thing I can say for certain is this: It takes more than just a state license to practice immigration law because, of course, immigration laws are federal in nature. Attorneys who wish to represent aliens before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Justice Department division that handles the immigration courts and Board of Immigration Appeals, must register with and be approved by the EOIR director.
While I don't see any particular prohibition of illegal aliens in the provision of the federal regulations governing such registration, at 8 CFR Section 1292.1, it would defy logic and make a mockery of the immigration courts for the director to approve such an application for registration.
There is also the issue of fairness to the illegal alien being represented by another illegal alien: What happens if his lawyer is arrested before his hearing is completed, thus leaving him high and dry? For EOIR to permit such a situation to occur would be tantamount to malfeasance. On the other hand, it defies logic that certain states have already taken that step-too-far, and that, too, seems to me to smack of malfeasance.
Maybe it's time that Attorney General Jeff Sessions steps in to require his new EOIR director to amend the regulation and make the prohibition against illegal alien lawyers representing other illegal aliens in the immigration courts crystal clear.
Meantime, if an illegal alien attorney shows up in court to represent an alien respondent in removal proceedings, perhaps the presiding immigration judge will have the good sense to summon immigration agents to arrest the attorney and place him or her into proceedings as well. After all, they're fair game. Being a lawyer shouldn't intrinsically place anyone above the law, should it?

Illegal Aliens to Practice Law? – Revisited

Dan Cadman

The House of Delegates of the American Bar Association (ABA) — the quasi-official body for lawyers throughout the United States — has passed a resolution affirming its belief that "[i]mmigration status alone shouldn't bar lawyers from practice."
According to the ABA Journal:
“The ABA House of Delegates on Monday voted to urge Congress to allow state courts to permit immigrants who are seeking legal status to obtain licenses to practice law, and to support ‘the principle that bar admission should not be denied based solely on immigration status.’”
I have written about my dismay and disdain for this notion more than once, most recently in a July 19 blog, wherein I question how people who daily must practice deception, and whose very presence in this country is in violation of law, could possibly comply with the bar association's code of ethics, or be deemed "officers of the court."
I'll admit, though, that part of me, the less noble part, is amused by the notion. What could be better than seeing open-borders lawyer advocates having to compete for their livelihood against those whom they are so keen to see overlooked and forgiven for their unlawful presence? What better way to snap their attention than to dig into their bottom lines? Schadenfreude doesn't get any better than that.
I've also been pondering, as I did before, how and why allowing illegal aliens to practice law would be good for their clientele. Would you want to hire an attorney who might himself be arrested in the middle of your own legal entanglements — forcing you to start over with a new lawyer, at great trouble and expense?
Courts everywhere these days cite the need for judicial efficiency and economy as driving forces in the way they set dockets, move through cases, and dispose of motions. Why would any court be in favor of an arrangement where the arrest of one side or the other's counsel could happen at any time in the midst of proceedings, because he or she is an illegal alien practicing law?
Then consider this little thought experiment: You're sitting in an immigration court, watching a removal case. The respondent (the alien "defendant") is called before the judge. He is unaccompanied by counsel. The judge asks him if he is represented. The respondent says that he will represent himself. The judge asks whether he's sure that's wise; the respondent answers that he's certain, because he himself is an attorney. He then asks the immigration judge for a continuance. The judge asks why, and for how long. The respondent says, "Well, judge it will have to be for quite a while. I'm carrying a pretty heavy caseload right now, and I have one civil proceeding in the midst of trial, and another upcoming. I expect that, between them and the other cases I'm representing in which they will want me to continue as attorney of record, maybe I could show back up here in, oh say about two years?"
Of course, in two years, the respondent will have continued to take on more new cases in order to keep the money flowing in, with the happy consequence that it continues to make his appearing before the immigration judge a remote possibility since his removal would disrupt those cases in which he's attorney of record.
Now I don't suggest that the immigration judge would necessarily buy into that line of argument — but I can't absolutely say that he or she wouldn't either. It's absurd, isn't it? But that, ladies and gentlemen, shows exactly how far to the left the ABA has meandered in its official positions.

What's happening here is pretty similar to the

specter of millions of illegals marching on Los

Angeles several years ago, waving the Mexican

flag. The disloyalty, the ingratitude, and

entitlement don't persuade anyone that these

supplicants should be given anything as a matter

of right.

DACA recipients yell 'hey, hey, ho, ho, Donald Trump has got to go!'

DACA recipients were at it again, filling the streets around the Supreme Court and beyond, demanding the U.S. to fork over a free right to stay in the U.S. and even put an end to the Trump administration.
According to The Hill:
And protesters also targeted Trump for repealing the program with chants of "Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go.”
Which is offensive as can be given that President Trump was elected legally by U.S. voters and represents the stated choice of it citizens. He even remains extremely popular among his fellow Republicans.
The whole specter is offensive actually, given that DACA recipients are de facto lawbreakers, yet now view DACA protections not as an act of mercy, but an entitlement. America, see, owes them, based on their time illegally spent in the country.
Worse still, they've made it clear that they only obey laws to their liking. Breitbart reports that DACA recipients are vowing to not leave even if the Supreme Court rules against them. So much for rule of law, something they learned contempt for at mom's hip.
The event was organized by none other than Mr. Soviet honeymooner himself, Bernie Sanders, who's always viewed the U.S. as something to be taken over and 'reformed.'
The presidential campaign for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a 2020 Democratic contender, helped organize the Home is Here Rally in support of DACA, asking supporters in an email to RSVP a week before the demonstrations.
"We must stand in solidarity and show the Trump administration that their cruel and harmful policies will not stand," an email from the group read.
Citizenship means nothing to Sanders, any more than gratitude.
What's happening here is pretty similar to the specter of millions of illegals marching on Los Angeles several years ago, waving the Mexican flag. The disloyalty, the ingratitude, and entitlement don't persuade anyone that these supplicants should be given anything as a matter of right. They certainly don't, or shouldn't, move the Supreme Court, which is deciding their case on relevant interpretation of the law. Mob yelling isn't the way a decent jurist does law.
What the specter of illegals protesting does do is serve as a reminder that U.S. immigration laws are still badly in need of enforcement. The only thing any decent law-abiding American can think as these foreigners yell for free stuff is that they need some deporting to learn some humility, justice and gratitude for what they had. Those are things they have yet to become familar with. They just wanted to overturn the results of the 2016 election because they don't believe in representative democracy. All they believe in is lawlessness that favors themselves.
Public sentiment should shift just as it did when the Mexican flag wavers once marched on Los Angeles. The organizers noticed and insisted that Mexicans be on their best behavior the next time around. But the damage was done.
