Mexican Authorities Downplay Murder of U.S. Citizen at Port of Entry to Texas

Mexican authorities are downplaying the murder of an American citizen who was killed as he waited at an international port of entry. Since the incident, officials tried to present him as a Mexican national, however, Breitbart Texas confirmed the victim held a U.S. passport.
On December 23, 41-year-old Oscar Manuel Resendez was in his vehicle at the Reynosa-Hidalgo Port of Entry when a gunman tried to take his car and shot him. The victim was a practicing dentist in Mexico but held dual citizenship.
Breitbart Texas confirmed with U.S. law enforcement and diplomatic sources that Resendez was born in Texas and held U.S. passport #579358740 issued on July 26, 2017.
In a statement sent out by the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office, authorities claimed the victim was a “citizen of Reynosa that worked in a Pemex clinic.” The release appears to downplay the crime to not draw international scrutiny. However, on Christmas Day, gunmen held up another tourist and repeatedly beat him outside the same port, El Manana reported. The victim was wounded.
The murder and a rash of armed robberies in Reynosa come soon after the Tamaulipas government kicked off its winter security enforcement surge along several highways to protect the influx of tourist traffic. It remains unclear if city officials are implementing any additional measures.

LAX IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT IS KILLING AMERICANS
Daniel Horowitz has
reviewed ICE’s brand new comprehensive enforcement and removal operations report. ICE reported that it issued detainers
on criminal aliens in fiscal year 2019 who were collectively charged with 2,500 murders. To put that in perspective, albeit via an imperfect comparison,
Horowitz says that law enforcement agencies only arrested 9,049 individuals in
total for homicide in 2018.
This source places
the total number of murder arrests in 2018 at a slightly higher number —
11,970. Either way, it’s clear that illegal aliens make up a shockingly high
percentage of those arrested for homicide.
Horowitz acknowledges that some of those for whom a
detainer issued in fiscal year 2019 might have been legal immigrants who were
convicted of murder a while ago. But “the bulk of them,” he adds are “front-end
detainers on illegal aliens who have just recently been charged with murder.”
Horowitz also notes that most illegal immigrants live in
sanctuary jurisdictions where law enforcement doesn’t cooperate with ICE. Thus,
there are many crimes, including murders, committed by illegal aliens that
don’t result in detainers. California, for example, is home to by far the most
illegal immigrants of any state in America. Yet, ICE only apprehended a
fraction of the number of criminals they caught in Texas.
Thus, but for sanctuary jurisdictions, illegal immigrants
would make up an even larger percentage of homicide arrests in the U.S.
The bottom line is that an alarming percentage of murders
in America are committed by people who are here illegally. These are murders
that we could prevent in many cases if we effectively enforced our immigration
laws, e.g., by beefing up ICE and stepping up expedited removals.
Unfortunately, Democrats (and some Republicans) are dead
set against such measures and against effective immigration enforcement
generally.

MS-13
has been declared 'inoperable' in New York after police arrested 96 members in
a sting that is believed to be the largest ever take down of the violent street
gang in the state.
The
Suffolk County District Attorney announced the charges against the 96
MS-13 members and associates during a press conference in Long Island on
Friday.
The
arrests stem from a two-year investigation that saw authorities thwart
seven attempted murder plots and countless other acts of violence.
A
number of drugs and weapons, including machetes, were seized from MS-13 gang
members during the operation.

authorities thwart seven attempted murder plots and countless other acts of
violence. A number of drugs and weapons, including machetes, (pictured

Of
those arrested, 45 alleged gang members and 19 associated drug suppliers were
charged with murder conspiracy, drug trafficking, gun possession and gang
violence charges.
Authorities
say the lengthy operation has dealt a significant blow to MS-13 leadership in
New York with nine leaders arrested.
During
the investigation, authorities say they learned that MS-13 were trying to
building up their presence in Long Island by trying to recruits gang members
from other states.
In
addition to the 96 people charged, the Drug Enforcement Administration made
more than 100 additional arrest - in New York and El Salvador.
'The
goal of this investigation was to deliver a major blow to the gang’s
leadership, operations and recruitment in the our region,' district
attorney Tim Sini said.

The
violent gang are behind several murders in region, including the 2016 deaths of
teenagers Kayla Cuevas and Nisa Mickens who were fatally attacked with baseball
bats and machetes.
The international gang was founded in
Los
Angeles in the 1980s by immigrants fleeing
a
civil war in El Salvador.
MS-13 now has 8,000-10,000 members in
the
U.S. alone - most of Salvadoran,
Guatemalan
and Honduran descent.
While
MS-13 has been around for decades, law enforcement officials on Long Island say
the region has seen a unique surge in activity since 2015 - the same time the
area received a major influx of unaccompanied minors from Latin
America.
MS-13
leaders in the U.S. often communicate and take orders from gang leaders in El
Salvador.
Long
Island communities have been strongly impacted by the violence and suffering
spread by MS-13.
Police
suspect the gang was involved in at least 25 killings on Long Island between
2016 and 2018.
The
gang’s motto is ‘mata, viola, controla’ which means ‘kill, rape,
control'.
