Democrats want the Iranian retaliation for Soleimani’s death to be significant, with enough casualties to convince the public to either vote against Trump in the coming election or support his impeachment.
Disgracefully, they are actually rooting for American deaths so they and the media can soak Trump in enough blood for the left to regain power.
They are determined to be rid of this president and if Americans must die for that to happen, their deaths will serve a higher purpose.
Just as with Barack Obama, the Democrats care only about partisan advantage -- Americans themselves mean little to them in the great game of political power.
Remember the good old days when Barack Obama was president and it was traitorous to oppose any of his foreign policy actions? Today, seditious Democrats side with Iran against a duly elected president.
When Obama killed bin Laden in 2011, the nation rejoiced because it was good for America. Most Republicans swallowed hard and praised President Obama for ordering Seal Team 6 to kill the leader of al Qaeda.
And you might also recall that for eight years, Obama, not only droned on and on with his mouth, he droned everyone in sight. In fact, Obama increased the use of drones to assassinate our enemies by tenfold over George W. Bush. He was the King of Drones, killing many legitimate targets along with thousands of innocents as collateral damage. He even targeted and killed an American citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, in Yemen in 2011.
Republicans didn’t accuse him of impeachable crimes, even if they never despised the indiscriminate nature of his pursuit of our enemies and the deaths of people unlucky enough to get in his way.
Obama’s Rules of Engagement (ROE) for our troops were significantly different from the ones he set for himself with his use of drones. How many American soldiers died because they weren’t allowed to shoot first and weren’t allowed to return fire if even one innocent might be close enough to become collateral damage?
Did the right accuse him of needlessly risking the lives of our soldiers for political gain? Did Republicans try to impeach him over the deaths of innocents during his drone strikes? No. Obama did many things that while despicable, were exercises of presidential power.
And that’s not even mentioning what Obama did in Libya without congressional authorization. There, Barry prosecuted an air campaign designed to kill the nation’s leader, Moammar Qaddafi. Obama decided Congressional authorization wasn’t needed. Did the right call that a targeted assassination?
Contrast that to what the Democrats are doing today. Trump killed a man responsible for the deaths of 600 Americans after attacks from forces he controlled killed an American citizen and attempted to overrun our Baghdad embassy and Democrats are, at the very least, using it to build a better case for impeachment.
There is talk that since the Articles of Impeachment have not been transmitted to the Senate, and technically Trump has not been impeached until they are, more articles can be added on. Noah Feldman, one of the impeachment witnesses in the House, wrote an essay which is a perfect setup for it.
They say killing Soleimani was a violation of the War Powers Act. They claim the inevitable response by Trump to Iranian retaliation, if it includes targeting cultural sites as Trump promised, would be a “war crime.”
Wouldn’t a violation of the War Powers Act and purported “war crimes” make nice additions to the Articles of Impeachment Pelosi is withholding or as the basis for a new impeachment?
Another Democrat talking point is that Soleimani posed no imminent threat so therefore he was not a legitimate target under the constitution. Awlaki was no “imminent” threat.
In reality, Soleimani was the leader of Iran’s Quds Force, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization and thus, a legitimate enemy combatant from a country that has waged war on America for four decades.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn), tweeted that while Soleimani was an enemy of the United States, “The question is this -- as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?”
He doesn’t mention Soleimani was a soldier or the leader of a designated terrorist organization. He wants Americans to believe Trump assassinated the second most powerful political leader of a nation we’re not a war with without congressional authorization. Wow, that sounds like “high crime and misdemeanors.” At least the way he says it. But wasn’t Qaddafi a political leader? Didn’t Obama engineer his assassination?
All their allegations go better as impeachable acts if the Iranians spill American blood and the Democrats and the media can build a case that Trump is directly responsible the casualties.
Iran is our enemy. They’ve been telling us so for 40 years.
Yet, the traitorous Democrats side with Iran.

Less than a week after the rubout of Iranian terrorist kingpin Qassem Soleiman, quite a few pundits are dishing opinions to the press. Some are good, and others, such as Ben Rhodes, are an embarrassment.
Some of the best stuff, though, comes from the people who watch the Iranians as a matter of survival - the Israelis. It's pretty useful to know how the Israelis are reading things in the wake of Soleimani being sent to collect his virgins, given that Israel has some impressive analysts. One Israeli think tank -- the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies -- has a lightning-fast set of takes on what's likely to happen next with the Soleiman kill-off, and what it means, brimming with striking insights. The title of the study just out is "The Soleimani Killing: An Initial Assessment" and it's a must-read at this link here. The essays are short and striking.
Here's a bit of sampling of what the short papers contain:
Hillel Fritsch writes that Soleimani's death was a major blow to Iran. Without their big terrorist, they'll descend into a miasma of suspicion of one another. Who was the informant who handed over Soleimani's coordinates? Were there a lot of them? Who can be trusted now? This would also explain why the appointed successor was a man in his 60s instead of a young guy, as Soleimani was when he took the helm. If they're out killing each other instead of us, well, good. The other thing is, they're not popular among the locals abroad. Their provocative actions were a bid to deflect all those 'Iran get out' chants being heard around Iran's client states. Fritsch writes that Iran essentially has an overextended empire, loaded with informants and they can't hang on.
Eytan Gilboa writes that Iran was hit hard by the Soleimani rubout and foolishly wasted its advantages by crossing President Trump's red lines. Both Trump and the Iranians wanted U.S. troops out of the Middle East, and the Iranians could have gotten it. Until they decided to make a lunge for another Benghazi. Their only hope now is if the U.S. elects another Democrat president.
Gershon Hacohen writes that Soleimani managed to manipulate the Arab Spring into extending Iran's empire and footprint across the Middle East. His loss is going to end all that, as the Iranians won't be able to replace him easily. Too bad.
Doron Ishchakov writes that with Soleimani gone, the regime faces a host of dangers, from anger in the ranks at too little revenge for his death, to Middle Eastern crazies taking matters into their own hands, leaving Iran holding the bag. The death blow to Soleimani might just be a death blow to the regime.
Alex Joffe writes that the mullahs have a bright spot, over in the states, where the mainstream media and its Democratic allies are going to be making fools of themselves, seeking to throw Trump's victory away.
A review of initial comments from well-known former officials and journalists shows that their sense of their own wisdom and indispensability is undiminished. Given their links with the Democratic presidential candidates, their comments offer not only a critique of the Trump administration but a foreshadowing of a potential Democratic administration.
He concludes that these clowns are impervious to any ideas not their own and they're going to continue being clowns.
One could conceivably hold House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responsible for the death-by-drone of Qassem Soleimani for she rushed impeachment of President Trump on the grounds we could not let him occupy the White House for even one more day lest our erratic commander-in-chief do something irrational. Then she unconstitutionally withheld the two cotton-candy Articles of Impeachment from delivery to the Senate for trial. Guess you waited too long, Nancy.
The killing of Soleimani was of course quite rational and quite ironic, as the Iranian general supposedly banned from international travel traveled the road from Baghdad International Airport on a road that has seen the deaths some of the 600 Americans killed by the explosively-formed-penetrators his forces supplied to Iraqi militias, not to mention the thousands maimed by them.
Perhaps President Trump should invite some of the families of the soldiers Soleimani murdered and some of the wounded warriors he maimed so Pelosi could look up at them and see why the killing of enemy combatant Soleimani in a war zone as he plotted to turn our embassy in Baghdad into another hostage crisis or worse, another Benghazi, was justified.
Of course, one could also speculate that Speaker Pelosi and a few of those Democrats calling the killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' elite Quds Force, a war crime might not be alive today if Iran’s most “revered” general had carried out his plot to bomb a Washington D.C. restaurant full of Americans in a plot to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador to the United States. As NBC News reported on October 10, 2011:
Two men, including a member of Iran's special foreign actions unit known as the Quds Force, were charged in New York federal court with conspiring to kill the Saudi diplomat, Adel Al-Jubeir. Justice Department officials say the men tried to hire a purported member of a Mexican drug cartel to carry out the assassination with a bomb attack while Al-Jubeir dined at his favorite restaurant…
Manssor Arbabsiar, a 56-year-old U.S. citizen who also holds an Iranian passport, was charged along with Gholam Shakuri, who authorities said was a Quds Force member and remains at large in Iran. The Treasury Department listed addresses for Arbabsiar in two Texas cities -- the Austin suburb of Round Rock and the Gulf city of Corpus Christi -- and prosecutors say he frequently traveled to Mexico for business.
The complaint filed in federal court says Arbabsiar confessed that his cousin Abdul Reza Shahlai was a high-ranking member of the Quds Force who told him to hire someone in the narcotics business to target Al-Jubeir. U.S. authorities described Shakuri as Shahlai's deputy who helped provide funding for the plot. Shahlai was identified by the Treasury Department in 2008, during George W. Bush's administration, as a Quds deputy commander who planned the Jan. 20, 2007, attack in Karbala, Iraq, that killed five American soldiers and wounded three others.
Arbabsiar, Shakuri, Shahlai and two others -- Qasem Soleimani, a Quds commander who allegedly oversaw the plot, and Hamed Abdollahi, a senior Quds officer who helped coordinate -- were sanctioned Tuesday by the Treasury Department for their alleged involvement. The department described all except Arbabsiar as Quds officers.
A senior U.S. official told NBC News that U.S. intelligence has a "high degree" of confidence that the "Quds Force at the highest levels" was involved in the alleged plot and that this was not some "rogue operation."
Think about this for a moment. Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, Eric Holder was attorney general, and Robert Mueller was FBI director when Iranian general and Quds Force commander Soleimani oversaw the planning of a terrorist attack on American soil that could have killed hundreds of Americans including some of the Washington elites. Yet they plowed ahead on the Iranian nuclear deal sellout, were part of an administration that financed Iran’s terrorist ambitions with $150 billion, including a billion and a half in cash dropped on an Iranian tarmac in the middle of the night, then participated in a coup for regime change, not in Tehran, but in Washington, D.C.
The commanding general of Iran’s Qods Force, the special operations branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, has been accused by the US government of being involved in the recently disclosed plot to kill the Saudi ambassador on US soil.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani “oversees the IRGC-QF [Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Qods Force] officers who were involved in this plot,” the US Treasury Department stated in yesterday’s terrorism designation that identified four other Qods Force officers involved in the plot. …
The other men named in the designation include Hamed Abdullahi, “a senior IRGC-QF officer who coordinated aspects of this operation”; Abdul Reza Shahlai, Abdullahi’s deputy, “who coordinated the plot” and undertook “to carry out follow-on attacks against other countries’ interests inside the United States and in another country”; and Ali Gholam Shakuri, Shahlai’s deputy, who met with and provided money to Manssor Arbabsiar, the man assigned to direct the attacks. Arbabsiar himself, who is Shahlai’s cousin, was also named in the designation and identified by Treasury as being a Qods Force officer. Only Arbabsiar and Shakuri were indicted by the US Justice Dept., however, for their roles in the plot to carry out attacks in the US. Arbabsiar is currently in US custody.
While exact details of Soleimani’s role in the terror plot have not been disclosed, the Justice Dept. indictment said Shakuri had informed Arbabsiar that Soleimani was aware of the plot and supported it. Shakuri had also told Arbabsiar that Soleimani was willing to meet with him.
While some Iran analysts have speculated that the plot to kill the Saudi ambassador and conduct other attacks may be “a rogue operation launched by zealots within the group,” as reported by The New York Times, Soleimani’s involvement makes this theory highly unlikely. Soleimani is one of the most powerful IRGC generals in the country; he reports directly to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader. Khamenei, in turn, has ordered Soleimani to direct Iran’s operations against the US in Afghanistan and Iraq.
And he was not reluctant to kill Americans on American soil. Soleimani was the war criminal here and he died the way he killed hundreds of Ameica’s young warriors -- without mercy.

Nancy Pelosi Blames Trump for Iran Attack — as U.S. Troops Under Fire

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blamed President Donald Trump for Iranian missile launches against U.S. bases in Iraq on Tuesday evening, and suggested that America was unwilling and unable to fight back.
In a tweet posted Tuesday evening, just minutes after news reports that over a dozen missiles fired from Iran had hit bases where U.S. troops are housed, and before military officials had assessed the battle damage: Pelosi accused the Trump administration of “needless provocations” and declared that America “cannot afford war” with Iran:
Closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq. We must ensure the safety of our servicemembers, including ending needless provocations from the Administration and demanding that Iran cease its violence. America & world cannot afford war.
NEWS: I’m told @SpeakerPelosi was handed a note inside a House Democratic Caucus meeting just now about the missile attacks that Iran is now claiming responsibility for. She then left the room.
The tweet continued the theme Pelosi expounded in a letter Sunday to Democratic colleagues, in which she said Trump’s successful airstrike last week on Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who was responsible for hundreds of American deaths and recent attacks on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, was “provocative and disproportionate.” She also announced legislation designed to limit the Trump administration’s ability to respond militarily to whatever retaliatory action Iran would take.
Pelosi’s aim appears to be to portray the president as a national security risk, too dangerous to leave in office, as she pursues his impeachment and removal. She is also arguing for an alternative policy — one that effectively surrenders to Iran. She and her party appear to believe that losing a war to Iran is an acceptable cost if Trump can be deposed.

One of the most disgusting things to come out of the Obama administration was "Operation Fast and Furious," where members of the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed illegal gun sales to go through – commonly referred to as "gun walking" – in order to track buyers and sellers they believed were connected to the Mexican drug cartels. Tuesday during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-AZ) discussed the surface-to-surface missile attack by Iran on a U.S. military base in Iraq.
Cruz maintained Trump was justified in ordering the airstrike on Iranian general Qasam Soleimani. He added that Democrats and the media speculating about World War III was a product of their hysteria and anti-Trump fervor.
The Texas Republican went on to suggest those missiles that struck the U.S. base were financed by money delivered to Iran as a result of the nuclear deal brokered during the previous Obama administration.
“If you look at Iran policy, I think you’ve seen a dramatic shift,” he said. “Under Barack Obama, as you noted, the policy was appeasement. The policy under the disastrous Iran nuclear deal under Obama was to give over $100 billion to Iran. They literally flew $1.7 billion in cash, in unmarked bills on pallettes in the dead of night into Iran. In a very real sense, the missiles that we saw fired on U.S. servicemen and women tonight were paid for by the billions the Obama administration flooded the Ayatollah with. If history teaches anything, it’s don’t give billions of dollars to people who hate you and want to kill you.”

Obama Welcomed Terror Leader Behind Iraq Embassy Attack To White House

Democrats and their media allies are spinning the attack on our embassy in Iraq as Trump's Benghazi. The reality is that it's still Obama's Benghazi.
Hadi al-Amiri was Iraq's minister of transport under then-Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and stood in the Oval Office as part of Maliki's delegation on a visit to the White House in December 2011.
On Tuesday, al-Amiri was among those leading the charge against the US embassy in Baghdad when it was stormed and set alight by pro-Iran militants. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo shared a photograph of Amiri amid the rioters, condemning him as an 'Iranian proxy,' and calling those shoulder-to-shoulder with him 'terrorists.'
The head of a leading pro-Iran Shia faction, Amiri exerts great power within Iraq's state-sanctioned Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and was highlighted by Pompeo among three other men as the ringleaders of the siege.
A former guerrilla fighter who fought for Tehran in the Iran-Iraq War, Amiri has been accused of terrorism against the US, of helping Iran to ship arms to Bashar al-Assad in Syria and has been pictured bowing before the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Not that Amiri was getting special treatment. The White House of the day had opened its doors to a legion of foreign and domestic Islamists. But it also highlights the degree of collusion between Obama and Iran.
