An ever growing number of Angel Families have
lost children to illegal alien drunk drivers (ABOUT 12 LEGALS MURDERED DAILY BY DRUNK DRIVING ILLEGALS) The Angel Families weren't voting for Joe
Biden anyway, but Biden's policies would certainly create more grieving
American families. The Democrats care more about protecting criminal foreigners
than protecting the lives of American citizens.

Crime by illegal aliens is costly. The real issue underlying the current public debate is whether the crimes of illegal immigrants are so numerous that they provide a compelling reason, or at least a powerful supporting argument, for urgent spending to secure our southern border. Judging by Texas the answer, though not incontestable, seems to be “yes.”

“You only arrest for the
purpose of dealing with a felony that’s committed, and I don’t count drunk
driving as a felony.” That was former vice
president Joe Biden last week, and the presidential contender announced a
punishment for ICE agents who dare arrest illegals caught driving drunk.
“You change the culture by
saying you are going to get fired,” Biden explained. “You are fired if, in
fact, you do that.” That fell afoul of former ICE boss Tom Homan, who explained
that according to current statues, any crime by an illegal is grounds for
deportation. If Biden doesn’t like what ICE is doing, Homan told Fox News, “then he can change the law, but you cannot fire a
law enforcement officer to enforcing the law that he took an oath
to enforce, a law that was enacted by Congress.”
According to the National Highway
Traffic Safety Authority, “every day,
almost 30 people die in drunk-driving crashes.” Those crashes claim more than
10,000 lives per year, and contribute to costs of $44 billion in 2010
alone. Many states prosecute drunk driving as a felony, particularly in cases
of injury or death. Even so, presidential contender Biden doesn’t consider
drunk driving a felony, and last week announced more good news for those
illegally present in the United States.
“In many cases, they’re more American than
most Americans are because they have
done well in school,” Biden said of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
(DACA) program. “They believe the basic principles that we all share. I think
they should be, in fact, fine to put on a path to citizenship.”
Legal immigrants and legitimate
citizens might wonder what the former vice president, a lawyer, is talking
about. On the other hand, Biden’s comments did not prevent a ringing
endorsement from a prominent California Democrat.
“For me, vice president Biden
is the best candidate,” Sacramento mayor Darrell Steinberg told
reporters last week. “This country
desperately needs both strong leadership and a voice of healing. This country
is so badly divided in large part because of the current president.” As it
happens, when it comes to drunk drivers Steinberg and Biden are on the same
page.
In 2017, Steinberg approved
$300,000 in city funding to provide legal services and other benefits for foreign nationals illegally present
in the United States. Steinberg, a supporter of sanctuary laws, said his
concern was people who are a threat, but illegal immigrants eligible for
monetary aid include those with convictions for DUI, a felony offense if people
are injured or killed.
Last year in Knight’s Landing,
a small community north of Sacramento, Mexican national
Ismael Huazo-Jardinez smashed
his truck into a residence killing Jose Pacheco, 38, Anna Pacheco,
34, the couple’s son Angel, 10, and injuring their 11-year-old
daughter. Police charged Huazo-Jardinez, previously deported in 2011, with
felony DUI and three counts of vehicular manslaughter.
Huazo Jardinez attempted to
flee the scene but Sutter County judge David Ashby, a 2016 appointee of Gov.
Jerry Brown, allowed the Mexican to post bail. The suspect then fled but was
quickly apprehended by ICE agents and also charged with ‘two counts of
possessing a firearm while being an alien
unlawfully in the United States.” Despite the two fatalities in the felony DUI,
the case drew no public comment from mayor Steinberg, Governor Gavin Newsom or
attorney general Xavier Becerra, once on Hillary Clinton’s short list as a
running mate.
On December 16, 2018, Newman,
California, police officer Ronil “Ron” Singh, a legal immigrant from Fiji,
pulled over a drunk driver who gunned down the officer. Police arrested a
Mexican national calling himself Gustavo Perez Arriaga and Paulo Virgen
Mendoza.
The Mexican national, illegally
present in the United States, had been arrested for felony
DUI, in 2011, in a case that caused injury,
and arrested on another DUI in 2014. That year the Mexican was sentenced to
five days in jail but failed to show. Under California sanctuary policy, he was
never handed over to ICE for deportation.
After the murder of officer Singh,
several other illegals helped the suspect flee. One of them, Eriz Quiroz, has
already been sentenced to prison after prosecution by U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott. The
suspect, now calling himself Paulo Virgen Mendoza, is being prosecuted by state
judge Ricardo Córdova, a 2003 appointee of Democrat Gov. Gray Davis, and the
murder case has been postponed until March 10, 2020.
Attorney general Xavier Becerra
and Gov. Gavin Newsom, both supporters of California’s sanctuary law, did not
attend the funeral of police officer Ron Singh. Neither Democrat has publicly
decried the officer’s murder as an example of “gun violence.”
Meanwhile, Sacramento mayor
Darrell Steinberg, a former state Senate boss, spends taxpayer dollars on the
legal fees of illegals, believes drunk driving does not constitute a threat,
and believes Joe Biden is the “best candidate” for president. The former vice
president believes drunk driving is not a felony, that ICE agents who arrest
drunken illegals should be fired, and that foreign nationals are more American
than Americans because they “have done well in school.”
The election takes place on
November 3. As President Trump says, we’ll see what happens.
CYMI:
Biden Says He'd Fire ICE Agents for Arresting Drunk Driving Illegal Aliens
Democratic
presidential candidate Joe Biden plans on changing the culture over at U.S.
Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) by firing ICE agents who arrest
illegal aliens for anything other than a felony, adding, "and I don’t
consider drunk driving as a felony." Biden made the controversial
remarks during
a 2020 Vice News Election Forum on Monday.
A
moderator asked the Democratic candidate how he would change the "culture"
over at ICE.
"You
change the culture by saying, 'You’re gonna get fired,'" a finger-pointing
Biden responded. "'You’re fired.' If in fact, you do that. You only arrest
for the purpose of dealing with a felony that’s committed, and I don’t count
drunk driving as a felony."
So Joe
Biden is threatening to fire ICE agents for doing their jobs just like
Biden fired that Ukrainian prosecutor for
doing his.
Even the
moderators appeared to be taken aback by the candidate's defense of drunk
driving.
You would
think Biden would have more sympathy for families who lost loved ones due to
drunk driving. For years, Biden lied about his first wife and
13-month-old-daughter being killed by a man, who Biden has falsely accused of
having "drank his lunch." Despite Biden's claims, a police
determination found that Biden's wife had driven into the path of a
tractor-trailer, possibly because her head had been turned and she didn't see
the oncoming vehicle. A tragic and sad story nonetheless, but why support a
policy that would similarly victimize other families?
Countless
Americans lose their lives every year when they are hit by illegal alien drunk
drivers, and many of the illegal aliens are repeat offenders. It's amazing the
Democratic frontrunner would guarantee that many more Americans would die from
drunk driving illegal aliens by threatening to fire ICE agents who deport such
dangerous individuals.
A lot of
the Angel Moms also lost their children to illegal
alien drunk drivers.
The Angel Moms weren't voting for Joe Biden anyway, but Biden's policy would
create many more of these mothers.
Biden's
comments show how far-left the Democratic Party has become and how far Joe
Biden is willing to go to become the Democrat's nominee.
Could I Get All That Illegal 'To Go'?

As we
head into the long Labor Day weekend, here are two tips to make your holiday
even more cheerful.
First: Remember to watch out for drunk driving illegal aliens!
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a report after report showing that Hispanics are wildly overrepresented in drunk driving accidents (but also contribute so much to our cultural life, musical heritage and landscape!).
Or, as the Huffington Post puts it: “Latinos At Greater Risk of Dying From Driving While Intoxicated.” They’re victims of the drunk driving epidemic! German Concentration Camp Guards At Greater Risk of Dying From Accidental Inhalation of Zyklon B.
One NHTSA report elaborated on the inebriated Latino driver problem:
“The authors found that some Latino parents actively promoted drinking among their sons as a sign of masculinity or machismo. (A focus group) indicated drinking among Hispanics might be motivated by the need to prove their manhood within the Latino culture: ‘Everyone thinks they can handle alcohol, especially men.’ ... ‘A lot of Hispanics think that way. It’s the macho male and the woman gives in to the man. Machismo causes this behavior.’”
The report also stated, “Mexican-American DWI offenders vastly overestimated the number of drinks required to make them unsafe drivers (eight to 10 drinks).”
It’s unclear if the NHTSA’s methodology took into account the effects of Cinco de Mayo.
Naturally, it would be outrageous to conclude from this that drunk driving is the national sport of Mexico. However, last year alone, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported 80,730 illegals for drunk driving, the majority of them Mexicans.
As the Houston Chronicle delicately put it a few years ago: “Young Hispanic men not getting message about drinking, driving.” ... crashing, burning, their ashes being spread across Cuernavaca ...

Thanks to
its proximity to Mexico, Texas leads the nation in fatal drunk driving
accidents, including those involving a blood alcohol content of 0.15 or greater
-- nearly double the legal limit. In 2014, young Latinos were responsible for
about one-third of all DUI accidents in Houston -- 535 -- though they made up
only 8 percent of the population.
MSNBC’s
Lawrence O’Donnell sneered at President Trump’s June 2018 meeting with family
members of Americans killed by illegals, saying most of their dead kids were
killed in traffic accidents. As if that doesn’t count.
Why did
we have to hear endlessly about O’Donnell’s car accident in Tortola a few years
ago, which he described as his “brush with death”?
Yeah,
that must have been rough, some real Brian Williams stuff there. But Don
Rosenberg finding out his 25-year-old son had been run over, backed over and
then run over again by an illegal alien -- well, that’s just a “traffic
accident.”
Our media
have no idea who Don Rosenberg is, and no interest in finding out. Their
concern for "children” is limited to the ones they can exploit to get
their way on illegal immigration. They wail about “children separated from
their parents,” but it would be a dream come true for the “Angel Mom” parents
if their kids were merely separated from them for six months -- or six years!
-- if only they could see them again, ever.
You know
what else is kind of traumatic? Being wedged into the false panel of a truck
with a breathing tube before traversing hundreds of miles of rough terrain to
make it to the U.S. border. These parents did that to their kids.
The New
York Times, too, nonchalantly mentioned that the kids of some of the families
at Trump’s White House meeting “died in car accidents.” They just died. Car
accidents happen all the time.
Yes,
traffic accidents can be caused by anyone -- especially a sh*t-faced illegal
going 80 miles per hour on a residential street. Internet scams happen all the
time, so, let’s take in more Nigerians!
The point
is, these particular drunk drivers never should have been
here in the first place.
Tricia
Taylor didn’t die, but the 18-year-old had to have her legs amputated almost to
the hip after a drunk driving illegal alien from El Salvador swerved his car
onto a sidewalk in Pontiac, Michigan, and rammed her against the wall. It was a
miracle that she lived, suffering through multiple surgeries and a lifetime of
pain medications. At Jose Carcamo’s sentencing, Taylor said, “What you give him
won't come close to the sentence he gave me for the rest of my life."
D.J. and
Wendy Corcoran began 2019 by burying their 22-year-old son, Pierce, senselessly
killed when a 44-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, Francisco Eduardo
Franco-Cambrany, swerved headfirst across a double yellow line, straight into
oncoming traffic. Echoing the media, Alexander De La Espriella tweeted of
Pierce’s horrible death, “Accidents happen, by anyone to anyone ... ” -- as
quoted in the Knoxville News. At least we didn’t have to hear about the great
tacos this time.
Six-year-old
Annie Cumpston was walking hand-in-hand with her mother in 2003, after
attending the Ringling Brothers Circus in Baltimore with her family, when a
drunk Mexican plowed into the crosswalk, killing the little girl. The
intoxicated illegal, Guillermo Diaz-Lopez, fled the scene, dragging a
pedestrian on his truck, and was finally apprehended while trying to break
through a police barrier.
Today,
you can visit “Annie’s Playground,” a beautiful 60,000-square-foot wonderland
built in the victim’s honor in Fallston, Maryland -- at least until Elizabeth
Warren and Kamala Harris demand its demolition to show their support for
“undocumented immigrants.”
Second
friendly holiday tip: Always remember -- diversity is a strength!
CITY JOURNAL
ILLEGALS AND THEIR
CRIME TIDAL WAVE
Critics of illegal immigration argue that the
crime rates of illegal aliens are higher than those of the American population generally,
or at least of legal immigrants. The New York Times has denied that illegals commit more crime than other groups, but
the paper bases its claim on a Cato Institute study that relies on questionable data. In fact, nobody can calculate
with accuracy the crime rates of illegal immigrants or any other social group
unless they have reliable data on the size of the group, and we simply don’t
know how many illegal aliens there are in the United States.
Nationwide data on crime by illegal aliens is
unavailable mainly because most states don’t keep such records. For
instance, California, with Hispanics making up more than 43 percent of its
incarcerated population, provides no information on the alienage of its
inmates. Texas does, though, and its Department of Public Safety reports that illegal aliens were arrested and charged with more
than 298,000 crimes, an average of over 39,000 per year, from June 1, 2011 to
the end of 2018. Though some of these arrests were for nonviolent crimes, such
as theft, burglary, or drug offenses, they also include many violent crimes:
624 homicides, 1,911 robberies, and 3,955 sexual assaults (which, under Texas
law, include rapes).
While these figures sound disturbing, we can’t
say with certainty if they are high relative to the size of the illegal
immigrant population because, as noted above, we really don’t know how many there
are. A 2014 estimate by the Pew Research Center pegged the Texas figure at
1,650,000, or 6.3 percent of the state’s entire population. Homeland Security
offered a higher estimate for 2015: 1,940,000, which accounted for 7.3 percent of
the state’s population.
Among all arrests for selected offenses over the
period 2012 to 2017, illegal aliens were taken into custody for homicide (which
includes murder and manslaughter) in numbers greater than their population size
would predict. They accounted for nearly 10 percent of all apprehended killers,
whereas, using the high-end DHS estimate, they make up 7.3 percent of the Texas
population. For all other crimes, however, including burglary, drugs, theft,
robbery, and weapons offenses, their apprehension percentages ranged from 2.5
to 6.7 percent—in other words, below their putative population size.
The crime of homicide provides the most accurate
measure, though, because a much higher proportion of murders are solved by
police—around 70 percent—than for any other crime; by contrast, fewer than 15
percent of property offenses lead to an arrest. As a result, we have much more
accurate demographics for murderers than for, say, burglars. The indication
that illegal aliens commit disproportionate numbers of murders is corroborated
by crime rates, shaky though they may be, for 2014 and 2015—the two years for
which we have population estimates from Pew and DHS. In 2014, Texas
illegal-alien murder-arrest rates were 4.99 per 100,000—56 percent higher than
the rates for all other apprehended murderers (3.2 per 100,000). In 2015, the
rates were 35 percent higher for illegal aliens (4.2 per 100,000, versus 3.1
per 100,000).
Granted, neither the rates nor the percentages of
illegal aliens arrested are overwhelmingly high. And the rates and percentages
for other crimes that they commit are below those of the arrested citizen and
legal-alien populations. Still, illegal aliens account for nearly 10 percent of
the apprehended murderers in Texas, and over 39,000 of the annual arrests for
crime overall. These figures are significant, reflecting crime in a single
state with an outsize number of illegal aliens—a small part of the nationwide
picture.
No amount of crime by those who enter this
country unlawfully should be acceptable, because it is “extra” crime that
wouldn’t occur if our border security were effective. Crime by illegal aliens
is costly. The real issue underlying the current public debate is whether the
crimes of illegal immigrants are so numerous that they provide a compelling
reason, or at least a powerful supporting argument, for urgent spending to
secure our southern border. Judging by Texas the answer, though not
incontestable, seems to be “yes.”
