Report: 40K Land in U.S. from China Since Trump’s Coronavirus Travel Ban
2:41
Nearly 40,000 people have landed in the United States from China on almost 280 flights since President Donald Trump’s February 2 travel ban on mainland China, a collection of travel data reveals.
A New York Times report details flight records collected from China-based VariFlight and U.S.-based MyRadar and FlightAware that show a continued flow of arrivals from China — where the coronavirus originated — even after Trump’s travel ban.
The travel data finds that since Trump’s travel ban, close to 40,000 people landed in the U.S. from China. Since New Year’s Eve, about 430,000 people landed in the U.S. on direct flights from China — thousands of which traveled directly from Wuhan, China, while mostly arriving in California, New York, Illinois, Washington, Michigan, and New Jersey.
All of these states have now become highly affected coronavirus outbreak zones, along with New Orleans, Louisiana. Of those 430,000 people who landed in the U.S. from China since New Year’s Eve, more than 380,000 came in January on more than 1,300 direct flights.
A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson told the Times that Trump’s travel ban has cut passenger flights from China by 99 percent.
The arrival of people from China to U.S. states like New York and California has continued mainly thanks to exemptions in Trump’s travel ban which allow chain migrants — some relatives of American citizens — to still enter the country with minimal screenings at airports.
Travel data obtained by the Times reveal that about 279 flights from China have landed in the U.S. since the travel ban took effect on February 2. In the first half of January, before any temperature screenings were enacted, roughly 4,000 people landed in the U.S. from Wuhan, with 19 of those flights landing in New York or California.
In addition to his travel bans on China, Iran, and Europe, Trump has said he is considering a travel ban on Brazil where now more than 10,500 nationals have coronavirus and nearly 500 have already died. As Breitbart News reported, daily flights from Brazil’s largest airport, Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, have continued into states like Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Massachusettes.

Japan PM to declare state of emergency as early as Tuesday
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says that he will declare a state of emergency for Tokyo and six other prefectures as early as Tuesday to bolster measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak, but that there will be no hard lockdowns
TOKYO (AP) — Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that he will declare a state of emergency for Tokyo and six other prefectures as early as Tuesday to bolster measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak, but that there will be no hard lockdowns.
Abe also told reporters Monday that his government will launch a 108 trillion yen ($1 trillion) stimulus package to help counter the economic impact of the pandemic, including cash payouts to households in need and financial support to protect businesses and jobs.
Abe said experts on a government-commissioned task force urged him to prepare to declare a state of emergency, with the COVID-19 outbreak rapidly expanding in major cities including Tokyo, and hospitals and medical staff overburdened with patients. He said the state of emergency will cover Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and four other hard-hit prefectures, and will be in effect for about a month.
The prime minister said he will hold a news conference on Tuesday to explain the state of emergency.
He said the measure is intended to further reinforce social distancing between people to slow the spread of the outbreak, and to continue to keep social and economic activities to a minimum.
Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike said the city will start transferring patients with no or slight symptoms from hospitals to hotels and other accommodations to make room for an influx of patients with severe symptoms.
Japan’s health ministry has confirmed 3,654 cases of the coronavirus, including 84 deaths, as well as another 712 infections and 11 fatalities on a cruise ship that was quarantined in the port of Yokohama near Tokyo earlier this year.
Sue Communist China for Coronavirus Pandemic, Says British Think Tank
4:47
A British think tank has said that Western nations where tens of thousands have died and whose economies have been damaged by Chinese coronavirus should sue the Communist country for compensation.
The neoconservative Henry Jackson Society (HJS) released a report on Sunday that said that if China were found liable for failures in its initial response to the Wuhan-origin pandemic and for intentionally withholding information from the rest of the world, a court could find Beijing in contravention of international treaties and the communist country would be liable to the rest of the world to the tune of trillions of pounds.
The report, Coronavirus Compensation? Assessing China’s Potential Culpability and Avenues of Legal Response, said that for G7 members alone, lawsuits related to “patent breaches” of the International Health Regulations (IHRs) could be worth up to £3.2 trillion. Individually, the United Kingdom could have a claim in damages worth £351 billion, the United States £933.3 billion, Canada £47.9 billion, and Australia £29.9 billion.
China’s early handling of the deadly respiratory disease, which resulted in the virus spreading rapidly outside of the Hubei province capital, and the communist government’s failure to abide by its obligation to inform the World Health Organization (WHO), is in contravention of Articles Six and Seven of the IHRs, of which China is a signatory.
The British government’s scientific advisory group had found that due to China covering up the extent of coronavirus in its early days, countries like the UK were not able to act as quickly to protect their own populations. The minutes from the UK’s New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG) revealed, according to the HSJ report, that “the UK’s response was being hampered by inadequate, erroneous, and absent data. This was data that — under the IHRs — ought to have been shared globally as soon as it was received.”
Overall, the think tank’s report found that China “failed to disclose data that would have revealed evidence of human-to-human transmission for a period of up to three weeks from being aware of it”; provided the WHO with “erroneous information” on the number of infections between January 2nd and 11th; and allowed five million people to leave Wuhan before imposing the lockdown on January 23rd, “despite knowledge of human-to-human transmission”.
Matthew Henderson, the report’s co-author, said: “The Chinese Communist Party [CCP] has learnt no lessons from its failure in the SARS epidemic of 2002-3. Their repeated blunders, lies, and disinformation, from the start of the COVID-19 epidemic, have already had far more deadly consequences.
“This report apportions no blame to the people of China for what has happened. They are innocent victims, like the rest of us. This is the fault of the CCP.
“How this will translate into practice, time will tell. By computing the cost of damage caused to advanced economies and assembling a series of possible legal processes to which the rules-based order can have recourse, we offer a sense of how the free world might seek recompense for the appalling harm the CCP has done.”
Acknowledging the difficulty in obtaining compensation from China, the HJS nevertheless recommends “making use of the International Court of Justice; Permanent Court of Arbitration; Hong Kong Courts; dispute resolutions through Bilateral Investment Treaties; and actions at the WTO [World Trade Organization]”.
Western countries, which have become dependent on China in their supply chains, have been desperately trying to source equipment in short supply to deal with the Chinese pandemic. In a transparent attempt to appear to be helping, China has stepped in to donate medical equipment to Africa, ventilators to New York state, and medical experts to Italy, the worst-hit country in Europe — all while rejecting the “stigma” that President Donald Trump attributes to China by rightly calling the virus “Chinese”.
Affected countries, including the United Kingdom, have even been buying equipment from China. Some has proved faulty, with the Netherlands recalling 600,000 Chinese-made masks and Spain finding that thousands of Chinese-made, EU-certified coronavirus tests were useless. China, meanwhile, has claimed that they “haven’t received any complaints from the buyers” about medical equipment exported from their country.

Senator
Who Employed Chinese Spy Endorses Joe Biden for President
A high-profile U.S. senator with professional
and personal ties to China — including once employing one of its spies — is
backing former Vice President Joe Biden amid mounting questions over his son’s
business dealings with the communist regime.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), a
former chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, announced her
endorsement of the former vice president on Tuesday, claiming to have
witnessed Biden’s “fortitude” and leadership during their overlapping tenures
in Congress.
I’ve worked closely with Vice
President Biden and I’ve seen firsthand his legislative ability, his statesmanship,
and most importantly his moral fortitude (NO, IT’S NOT A JOKE, BUT THEN
FEINSTEIN IS THE MOST SELF-SERVING CORRUPT POL IN U.S. HISTORY). During his
time in Congress and in the White House, Joe Biden has been a tireless fighter
for hard working (ILLEGALS) MEXICAN families.
