BLACK LIVES MATTER? REALLY? - THEN WHY DO BLACKS MURDER SO MANY BLACK CHILDREN?

The Black Lives Matter Effect is Killing Black Children

“Where is the outrage? Our babies are being shot.”

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.
Mekhi James, a 3-year-old boy, cried, "It hurts", after he was shot in Chicago.
Then he died.
Sincere Gaston, a 1-year-old boy, was also shot and killed in Chicago. A 3-year-old girl was shot in the chest while playing in the front yard with other children. She was among the four toddlers shot in Chicago in two weeks. Older children are also being shot. An 8-year-old girl was grazed in the head, and a 5-year-old boy in the buttocks.
Natalia Wallace, a 7-year-old girl described as “quiet and sweet” was shot and killed on the sidewalk.
“Where is the outrage? Our babies are being shot. These are our babies," Chicago PD's Chief of Operations Fred Waller, who is African-American, asked.
The question ought to be directed to Black Lives Matter as the BLM Effect fuels shootings and deaths around the country. And the most vulnerable of the BLM Effect’s victims are black children.
Eight children under the age of 10 have been shot in Chicago in the past few weeks. The cause of these shootings is an upsurge in crime from the Black Lives Matter riots that have devastated the country.
The Black Lives Matter riots are killing black people, and particularly black children, in two ways.
Chicago murders are up 83% in June, while arrests fell 55%, street stops 74%, and traffic stops 86%. If you want to see what defunding the police looks like, just stop by Chicago and bring a bulletproof vest.
John Catanzara, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, blames a new Ferguson Effect in the George Floyd era where officers, “pause and say: ‘I want to go home today safe. I want to make sure I keep my job. And I want to make sure I don’t go to jail.'"
Mayor Lightfoot argues that it’s due to the police being tied up by the Black Lives Matter protests.
And they’re both right. The BLM Effect has a dual function.
The protests are tying up large numbers of cops, leaving gang members free to fight their battles, and the dismantling of proactive policing and the scapegoating of cops makes the police less proactive.
Alderman Chris Taliaferro, the African-American chair of the Chicago City Council Committee on Public Safety, said, "Our police officers don’t want to be the next headline."
Even as Democrats around the country endorsed Black Lives Matter and championed defunding the police, Chicago’s black political leaders rushed 1,200 cops to the streets for the July 4th weekend.
African-American Police Superintendent David Brown ordered sweeps of street corners for gang members and pleaded with the courts to keep them in jail for at least the weekend.
"Our endgame is arrests," he said, vowing to break, "the pipeline for shootings and murders in Chicago."
A white ACLU official warned that would, “drive a wedge between the CPD and communities of color.”
While Democrats, their leftist leaders, and the media insist that the real threat to black people comes from police officers and white ‘Karens’ who try to defend themselves, the truth is in the hospitals.
Not just black people, but black children are being shot across America because of the anti-police riots.
In Detroit, a 9-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl were shot while shooting off fireworks.
In Washington D.C., a world away from where Democrat and Republican politicos sell out children like him by conspiring on “police reform” and “criminal justice reform”, Davon McNeal, an 11-year-old boy, was shot and killed while grabbing a phone charger and earbuds before heading to a July 4th BBQ.
Mayor Muriel Bowser offered her "thoughts and prayers". But the little boy shot at the Frederick Douglass apartments didn't need thoughts and prayers recited on Twitter, he needed the police.
The boy’s mother was a community D.C. Violence Interrupter and his grandfather is a Guardian Angel. He was surrounded by alternatives to police, including a city initiative that spent $10 million on community activists that were supposed to somehow ‘interrupt’ violence, but don’t stop bullets.
"We’re protesting for months, for weeks, saying, ‘Black Lives Matter, Black Lives Matter.’ Black lives matter it seems like, only when a police officer shoots a black person," John Ayala, the boy's grandfather, said.
"What about all the black-on-black crime that’s happening in the community?”
In St. Louis, a 4-year-old boy was shot in the head over the July 4th weekend. He was one of 4 children shot on the Fourth of July in the city and one of over 60 children that have been shot there this year.
St. Louis Children's Hospital's ER has seen more children with gunshot wounds in May than any previous month in its history.
An 8-year-old girl was shot and wounded on July 4th in Cleveland. A 15-year-old boy was among three people who were shot in Boston in 24 hours. In Delano, California, an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old girl were shot and killed at a party. The girls were Latino and their lives don’t matter at the moment.
But in New York City, TreShawn, an 11-year-old boy was wounded while playing outside his home.
There’s a 44% increase in shootings and a 23% rise in murders in New York City. Call it the BLM Effect.
"More people not in jail," NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan said, explaining the rising violence. "Rikers Island in New York is empty. Between Covid, between bail reform, the protests caused animosity towards the police, which took us out of neighborhoods that needed us the most."
In Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Aaliyah Norris, a 7-year-old girl, was shot and killed by Shaquille Francis. Her 9-year-old older sister won't sleep and won't eat after the murder.
Royta Giles Jr., an 8-year-old boy, was shot and killed in a Birmingham mall. Another girl was wounded. A 5-year-old boy was also shot and wounded in Birmingham while riding in a car.
Royta will receive a tiny fraction of the media attention and leftist outrage that Rayshard Brooks did. When a movement cares more about a violent thug than a little boy, that sums its moral compass.
A 6-year-old girl was shot and killed in Palm Bay, Florida.  Two children were shot in a drive-by attack in Baton Rouge. A 5-year-old and a 12-year-old were shot during a gun battle in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Clarity Coleman, the 5-year-old, was shot in the leg while being pulled on a wagon.
“I didn’t even know that I got shot until I started feeling the pain,” Chyesha Smith, the 12-year-old, said.
70 children were shot in Philadelphia this year. A 43% rise. 96% of the child victims of violence are black.
This is what Black Lives Matter looks like in the real world.
In Minneapolis, where the city council has voted to defund the police, 50 kids from a youth football team, some as young as 5 years old, ran for cover as shots were fired by rival thugs in a park. Elsewhere, a 7-year-old boy was shot in the foot. 116 people were shot in June. That's a 400% increase.
Sasha Cotton, who heads the city's office of violence prevention, blamed angst and trauma from Floyd's death. Her office's plan to prevent the violence is to urge the victims not to retaliate.
Coach Thompson, who is black, said, "It was crazy to have 50 to 60 rounds fired and no police presence.”
But he’s considering supporting the defunding of the police.
The BLM Effect is taking black lives across America. In Milwaukee, shootings are up 95%, in Hartford, they've risen 36%, and in New York City, shootings are up 142%. In just one week, an extra 37 people were shot. That excess capacity can be credited to Black Lives Matter and all of its supporters.
While Democrat leaders grappled with taking down statues of the great explorer and possibly even renaming the city, Columbus, Ohio is experiencing one of its deadliest years.
Cincinnati is headed toward its deadliest year in over two generations. Murders are up 65%. The average murder victim is black. Only 4 were white.
“Each of those lives matter and the majority of those who have lost their lives this year, last year and the year before that are African Americans. It's unfortunate to say it is at the hands of other African Americans," Christopher Smitherman, the black head of Cincinnati’s public safety committee, said.
Smitherman is the former president of Cincinnati’s NAACP.
Black Lives Matter falsely pretends that black people are mostly endangered by police, when in reality, in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country, they’re protected by police officers.
And those police officers are increasingly black.
Black Lives Matter declared war on the police on behalf of criminals. The death toll in black lives is shocking. And the toll in the lives of black children is even more heartrending. When the police leave, the criminals take over, and the hospitals and morgues pile up with the black victims of gang violence.
That’s the BLM Effect.
Supporting Black Lives Matter means not only supporting criminals over the police, it means enabling the mass deaths of black people and black children that inevitably follow in the wake of the riots.
If you support Black Lives Matter,
you’re killing black children.

Donald Trump: Federal Help Ready to Hit Chicago Gun Crime if Mayor Lightfoot Asks

President Trump is promising federal helping to curb Chicago’s surging gun crime if Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) will ask for it.
Trump also noted the surging gun crime numbers in New York City and offered to help Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), should he ask for support as well:

It should be noted the number of shot and wounded/shot in killed in Chicago over Fourth of July weekend rose a bit just hours after Trump sent his tweet. Breitbart News reported at least 70 were shot, 14 fatally, by Sunday night in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago.
Trump has pointed out numerous times Democrat-controlled cities are dangerous places.
On June 25, 2020, the Washington Post quoted him saying, “You hear about certain places like Chicago and you hear about what’s going on in Detroit and other — other cities, all Democrat run. Every one of them is Democrat run. Twenty out of 20. The 20 worst, the 20 most dangerous are Democrat run.”
The Post then attempted to disprove Trump by showing that only 19 of the top 20 cities for incidents of violent crime per 10,000 people have a Democrat mayor.
Only 19 out of 20.

WATCH – Family of 8-Year-Old Shot in Atlanta: ‘You Killed Your Own’

The father of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner took part in a press conference in which he said, “They say Black Lives Matter. You killed your own.”
CNN reports that 8-year-old Turner was killed Saturday night while riding with her mother, Charmaine Turner, who had a friend driving. “The driver was attempting to enter a parking lot at 1238 Pryor Road where a group of individuals illegally placed barricades. Someone in the group opened fire on the vehicle,” and Turner was shot. According to the Associated Press, the shooting occurred “near Wendy’s restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was killed by a white police officer on June 12.”
The father, Secoriya Williamson, stood and spoke at the press conference while the girl’s mother sat next to him.
11 Alive reporter Natasha Lance posted video of Williamson speaking: “They say Black Lives Matter. You killed your own. You killed your own this time. Just because of a barrier? They killed my baby because she crossed a barrier and made a u-turn. You killed a child. She didn’t do nothing to nobody.”

Turner’s mom then spoke at the press conference, where she pleaded for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for killing her little girl.
She said, “Help me, help my baby, she was only 8-years old.”
The mother said, “Right now, it’s 6:30, she would have been on Tick-Tock dance [on] her phone. [Would have] just got finished eating.”
Turner’s mother went on to say she understands the tension over racial matters, but she added, “We ain’t got nothing to do with that. We innocent. We didn’t mean harm. My baby didn’t mean harm.”

The Associated Press reported that a $10,000 reward is being offered for information on the individuals believed to have fired the rounds that struck Turner.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) is urging witnesses to come forward and help  law enforcement find those responsible for the child’s death.

BLM's Violence & the Death of America's Cities

The corpses are already piling up.

The police-hating rhetoric of the openly and proudly Marxist "Black Lives Matter" (BLM) movement is doing exactly what it did five years ago – creating a massive increase in violent crime and homicide throughout urban America. You may recall that back in 2015-16, BLM's anti-police protests and riots – particularly in the aftermath of the 2014 police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri – intimidated officers nationwide into becoming much less proactive in dealing with criminal suspects. A Pew Research Center report titled “Behind the Badge” – which tabulated the results of a questionnaire that was sent to thousands of officers – confirmed that 85 to 95 percent of law-enforcement officers in large police departments became highly reluctant to engage criminals except where absolutely necessary.

The consequences of the new timidity of law-enforcement were monumental:
  • In 2015, America’s 56 largest cities experienced a 17% rise in homicides.
  • Twelve cities with large black populations saw their murder totals spike even more dramatically – e.g., by 54% in D.C., 60% in Newark, 72% in Milwaukee, 83% in Nashville, and 90% in Cleveland.
  • Robberies surged in America's 81 largest cities during the 12 months that followed the shooting of Michael Brown.
  • During the first quarter of 2016, homicides in America's 63 largest cities increased by 9%, while nonfatal shootings were up 21%.

And today, as a result of the anti-police riots and denunciations that have swept the country since the May 25 death of George Floyd in Minneapolis – eruptions led in large measure by the Marxists and anarchists of BLM – we are already seeing the same trends all over again.

Consider, for instance, the case of Chicago:
  • On Sunday, May 31, eighteen homicides were committed in Chicago, breaking the city's previous one-day record of thirteen, set 29 years ago. In fact, over the course of that same weekend as a whole, Chicago police responded to at least 73 incidents in which 92 people were shot, including 27 who died as a result. “We’ve never seen anything like it at all,” said Max Kapustin, the senior research director at the University of Chicago Crime Lab. “I don’t even know how to put it into context. It’s beyond anything that we’ve ever seen before.”
  • From Friday evening through Saturday afternoon, June 5-6, at least 23 people were wounded in various shootings across Chicago.
  • During the weekend of June 12-14, no fewer than 34 Chicagoans were wounded in shootings citywide.
  • During Father's Day weekend, June 19-21, Chicago saw more than 100 people shot in an astonishing wave of gunfire, 14 of them fatally.
  • During the last weekend of June, 63 people were shot in Chicago, 16 of them fatally.

New York City has likewise been turned into a leftist hell hole by BLM hatred:
  • In a 28-day period from mid-May through mid-June, the incidence of murder, burglary and grand larceny auto crimes in New York spiked dramatically when compared to the same period last year. Particularly alarming was the homicide count – 38 murders in 28 days – a total twice as high as the corresponding figure from 2019.
  • From June 16-22, the number of shootings in New York City increased by some 358 percent compared with the same time frame in 2019 – from 12 shootings last year, to 55 this year. In those 55 most recent shooting incidents, a total of 74 people were wounded.
  • From June 19-27, more than 110 people in New York City were wounded or killed in 83 separate shootings.
  • In a 12-hour period during the weekend of June 27-28, eleven people were shot and wounded citywide. This spree of gunfire brought the number of shootings over the most recent seven-day period in New York to 59 – a figure that dwarfed the 26 shootings which had occurred during the same time frame in 2019.

The NYPD's Chief of Department, Terence Monahan, blames these horrific trends largely on the fact that “the animosity towards police has been absolutely unbelievable.” “The violence, the shootings are up,” he says. “We haven’t seen this many [during a comparable time period] since 1996.”

The animosity cited by Monahan was on full display in the wee morning hours this past Sunday, when a mob of young people spent several hours hurling bottles and epithets at NYPD officers who tried to break up their massive street party following reports of gunfire at the gathering. The attendees defiantly and repeatedly demanded that the officers “Get the f–k out of here!” Others taunted the cops by launching aerial fireworks from atop a van, and by dancing lewdly in front of an NYPD vehicle. In a subsequent interview with reporters, one young black man summed up his attitude toward the police thusly: “The black people wanted the cops to know that this is our neighborhood and you’re not going to intimidate us.” Meanwhile, a dispirited police officer described the situation as “complete lawlessness.”

And because the administration of Mayor Bill de Blasio has been highly sympathetic to the protesters and rioters – as evidenced by the enactment of a $1 billion cut to the NYPD budget – New York City officers have decided that it's time to get out while they can. During the 30-day period from May 25 through June 24, no fewer than 272 uniformed cops announced that they were retiring – a 49 percent increase over the 183 officers who filed for retirement during the same period last year.

The atmosphere in Milwaukee, nearly 900 miles west of New York, has grown equally grim. According to Milwaukee Inspector Leslie Thiele: “Our homicides are way up. We haven't seen these numbers since 1991. We have 86 homicides this year, compared to 37 to this point last year – so we have a 132% increase. Thiele's fellow Milwaukee Inspector Terrence Gordon says: “Morale [among police] is terrible. But people don't have low morale because of something the chief did, it's because they're afraid that nobody in this community is going to stand up for them. In 25 years, I've never seen it like this. I never thought that I'd see the day where a Milwaukee police officer would withdraw from the community they swore to serve. But I can see it beginning to happen right now, and it's just terrible, because on the other side of all these crimes are victims.”

The hearts of police officers have likewise been torn asunder in Washington, D.C., as evidenced by the fact that in a recent press release, the city's Metropolitan Police Union said that 71% of the members it surveyed are considering leaving the department. Of those, nearly 40% are planning to leave law enforcement entirely.

In St. Louis during the weekend of June 6-7, no fewer than 21 people were shot, 6 of them fatally. During the first week of June, homicides in Los Angeles were up 250% compared to the previous week, while the total number of gunshot victims was up 56%. In Baltimore during the month of June as a whole, the incidence of homicide increased by 29% over the corresponding rates for April and May.

By embracing the hateful, destructive, anarchic message of Black Lives Matter and its openly Marxist leaders, urban America has willfully signed its own death warrant. Cities from coast to coast are now in the process of dying. Their respective tax bases are already fleeing – quite understandably and smartly – to safer environs, just like so many of their predecessors did after the riots of the Sixties. Why on earth would anyone want to invest his or her labor and capital in a business or a home that could be wiped out in a matter of minutes, whenever the next pack of raging vandals may feel a righteous impulse to lay waste to everything in its path? Any such an investment would be a very poor life decision.

Thus, such investments are now a thing of the past. For instance, the Minneapolis manufacturing company 7-Sigma Inc., which was heavily damaged during the George Floyd riots, has decided to move, as quickly as possible, out of the city where it has been headquartered for the past 33 years. Other local businesses say they fully intend to follow suit. So, goodbye Minneapolis.

And so long, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Louisville, Memphis, New York, Oakland, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, and Seattle.

The most enduring hallmarks of the cities that have been ravaged by the riots of recent weeks will be large tracts of ghost neighborhoods where abandoned homes and businesses stand, silently and pathetically, like the dilapidated ruins of dead civilizations. The raging Marxists of BLM have sown the wind, and now the whirlwind is theirs to reap. It is happening already.

A convicted murderer has been arrested for rape after being released from prison to a halfway house in Hartford, Connecticut.
Anthony Smith, 42-years-old, was arrested this week after he had been released to live in a halfway house following a 25-year prison sentence for felony murder, according to the Hartford Courant.
Smith, police said, was living in the halfway house and signing out every day to go to work at a warehouse. Smith, police allege, was not going to work.
On one occasion, Smith traveled to Stafford, Connecticut, to visit a woman he had previously been in a relationship with. The woman claims Smith raped her and said he was a key player in the region’s drug trade.
Smith was arrested for the alleged rape and for violating the terms of his parole. While being strip searched to re-enter prison, police said Smith had stuffed 58 bags of crack cocaine in his bottom. Smith allegedly admitted to police that he had returned to selling drugs while living in the halfway house.
Smith has been charged with first-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree escape, smuggling drugs into prison, and possession of narcotics. The inmate is being held on a $750,000 bail.

Black Lives Matter is racist against blacks

I've seen an argument on right-leaning sites pointing out that BLM is racist against white people.  While BLM is certainly guilty of that, the movement is actually racist in the old-fashioned, Ku Klux Klan way, as mentored through a century of life by Old Mr. Jim Crow himself.  It's racist, in other words, not so much to white people, but to the black people it claims to champion.
It takes as a first position a concept of the African-American male as without agency.  He is without impulse control, without self-restraint, with tendencies toward violence, rape, murder, and inability to conceive of consequences.  No old seg could have phrased it better.
That being the case, it implies that the police must be prepared to accept such behavior as the norm. Thus, when confronted by a clearly under-the-influence perpetrator like George Floyd, it is incumbent on them not to confront and restrain as part of the process, but to give him room and time to act out.  He can't help himself; they can.
In their ideal world, the police officers withdraw across the street and observe as Floyd rants and raves and carries on while zephyrs of fentanyl drive him into deep  tantrum at the unfairness of it all.  Eventually, he will tire himself out, come down, begin to recover his self-awareness.  At that point, a non-white officer should approach him, request his acquiescence on the legal issue, and escort him peacefully and uncuffed to the station.
That should make everyone happy, except those whose police calls went unanswered while the blues were handling Floyd with BLM-Rx TLC, and all the victims of all the young men who see the cops acting like both nannies and ninnies and decide, there being no downside, that crime is a good career move.
But what's truly radical isn't its implicit racism, vile as that might be.  Rather, it signifies a demand to change the perdurable model of American social assistance.  We've seen this model before — too often.  Perhaps it worked in the late 1940s, where under our severe influence, both Japan and Germany rebuilt themselves in our image, to our specifications, and became prosperous, democratic, and timid.  But both had in place systems of social discipline, mutual respect, and solid hierarchy that gave us a foundation upon which to build.
That has not been the case in 70 years, as failures in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and the Middle East have shown.  They — communists, radical Islamists, whatever — didn't want to become like us — educated, largely middle-class, democratic, high-trust — but to stay as they were.  They wanted to stay who they were.
Such a direction seems also the goal sought by BLM.  They don't want to assimilate into society; they want society to assimilate to the ghetto.  They proudly demand the right to enjoy the stereotype.  They don't want to be saved; they want to be celebrated as is, au naturel.  They want to be untethered from judgment, enforcement, and consequence.
The new norm has to include the right and the space and the time for black males to act out.  It has to include fatherless families, social incoherence, gang influence, tendencies to violence.  A tolerance must be built, seems to be their secret message, to accept all such features, to define deviance away.  Welcome to one possible future.

Six Weeks, Six Cities, 600 Murders

The single most important domestic issue of our time is not the rising number of new people testing positive for COVID-19. Deaths have hit all-time lows.
The single most important domestic issue of our time is not even the continued economic hardship of a nation that was artificially shut down and sent spiraling into a faux recession. Millions of jobs have been added over the past 60 days and the skyrocketing unemployment has turned around to nearly where it was percent wise in most of the Obama early years (11.1 vs 9.9.)
Nope!
The single most important issue, affecting some of the largest swaths of populations in America, is the scandal the media ignores even as it explodes in our faces.
In only six weeks, city after city operated by entrenched Democrats have seen a massive expansion in lawlessness, violence, and murder. Stunningly, many news outlets seem gobsmacked and mystified at how or why such an explosion of lawlessness has occurred.
For the sake of brevity, let’s sample six of the nation’s largest cities, including all of the top three.
New York:
The Democratic mayor has long been understood as anti-police. His wife recently imagined the city as “Nirvana” if the NYPD were eliminated altogether.
Thus far in 2020, homicides are up 21 percent. Shootings are up by 46 percent. The Democratic mayor’s agenda included emptying the prison known as Rikers Island, bail reform letting perps walk before the paperwork is completed, and the effort to #DefundPolice that took 600 anti-crime units out of commission.
Los Angeles:
June saw disturbing trends. An increase in the month’s first week by 250 percent of homicides, and a 56 percent increase in shootings. Following the death of George Floyd in May the LAPD received a $150 million cut.
Chicago:
Year-to-date shootings have eclipsed 1,508 for 2020, putting them 350 ahead of 2019. To date homicides sit at 254, placing them ahead of 2019. Important to note that the Cook County board voted in favor of defunding police. Eleven city alderman raced to the fore to demand that not a single penny of $333 million in federal dollars not go to police, and various proposals are being considered to cut current funding by more than $30 million in current spending.
Washington, D.C.
Year-to-date homicide numbers are 13 percent higher than this time a year ago. Nevertheless, the District PD is slated to be defunded by more than $15 million.
Philadelphia:
Shootings are up 67 percent. Victims of armed violence are up 29 percent. Homicides are up 25 percent. So of course it makes sense to defund the Philadelphia PD by $19 million.
Baltimore:
As consistently one of the most dangerous cities in America with a five-year streak of more than 300 murders, last year Baltimore set a new record at 348 homicides. Yet in 2020 they outpace last year’s record and will see defunding to the effect of $22 million.
As I said there are many more that I could highlight for you.
So why did all of these cities take such violent turns? Is it because their leadership capitulated to the anger of the mobs as opposed to thinking clearly and strategically about an effective response?
Or do these Democrat-run towns literally operate with denial in good and evil?
How else can you explain that in the city of Minneapolis (where a nation watched in horror and subsequently responded to the murder of an innocent man) that within 30 days they would record 1,600 shots fired? But then respond by voting to dismantle its police operations all together?
The single most important threat to our nation at this moment are Democrats who are voting in favor of eliminating law enforcement and who are by extension responsible for the greater and greater increase in the loss of life.
They are allowing Marxists and Anarchists to create complete chaos and disorder. They also seem utterly unconcerned about any lives mattering, black or white.
They appear to be holding on to an idea that they are not impacted by the scum and villainy at play under their jurisdiction.
They even perhaps believe that this is all worth it, if it will allow them to have electoral success in the fall.
If so, they need to brace themselves for three basic truths.
It’s time they learn the truth
It’s time they be held accountable.
