These so-called undocumented immigrants are becoming legally indistinguishable from citizens as they openly reside in 500 sanctuary jurisdictions, receive welfare, education and medical care, are granted drivers licenses, and given tuition breaks at public universities as they, not legal immigrants or American citizens, are exempt from federal immigration, health and travel laws.

Cape Cod Elects Democrat Sheriff Promising to Shield Criminal Illegal Aliens from Deportation
Voters in Barnstable County, Massachusetts elected Democrat Donna Buckley for sheriff, ensuring that the area’s cooperation with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency will soon come to an end.
On Tuesday’s elections, Buckley ran to replace longtime Sheriff James Cummings (R) with the promise that she will end Barnstable County’s 287(g) agreement with ICE. The 287(g) program allows local law enforcement to seamlessly identify criminal illegal aliens and turn them over to ICE agents for arrest and deportation.
Buckley said months ago:
The sheriff’s office should not be doing ICE’s job.The sheriff’s office should be focusing on all of the people who come out (of jail) and make sure they do not commit more crimes, that they do not have more victims, that they don’t overdose and die, that they don’t put our police at risk. …it needs to go.
A recent investigation, as Breitbart News reported in May, detailed the impact that ending 287(g) agreements has on local communities.
In Gwinnett County, Georgia, for example, Democrat Sheriff Keybo Taylor ended the county’s 287(g) agreement with ICE and, subsequently, began releasing criminal illegal aliens back into the community at a higher rate. From 2020 to 2021, the number of illegal aliens turned over to ICE by Gwinnett County was cut by 85 percent.
Last year, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that he would limit ICE’s use of the 287(g) program with local law enforcement agencies as part of the Biden administration’s larger efforts to gut interior immigration enforcement.

New York could give illegal aliens free lawyers in deportation court
You don’t like the idea of paying for a lawyer to represent an illegal alien in Immigration Court? Too bad, you may soon have a legal obligation to do so.
New York lawmakers have introduced a new bill in the Empire State’s legislature – creating a right to counsel for illegal aliens and other noncitizens facing potential removal from the United States. Should the so-called Access to Representation Act, introduced by a former illegal alien-turned state representative, be signed into law, noncitizens in New York State who are currently in deportation proceedings could enjoy the benefits of a cost-free public defender.
This is significant because immigration is a civil matter, and litigants aren’t entitled to a free lawyer at government expense. Criminal defendants are subjected to the possibility of losing their life or liberty. That’s why they get a free lawyer. Deportation proceedings simply determine whether foreign nationals have a legal basis for remaining in the U.S. If they don’t, they are simply returned to their home country, where they have full rights of citizenship. It’s also worth noting that U.S. citizens in civil proceedings do not get free lawyers at government expense.
While creating a legislative right to free counsel in immigration proceedings is a novel concept, public-private partnerships to pay for immigration lawyers are not. Understanding how activists have pushed this issue through the formation of programs that are partially based on public funding is the key to understanding how New York’s state law could be the start of a nationwide trend. Anti-borders activists in the Empire State have been at the epicenter of a years-long push to provide taxpayer-funded counsel for noncitizens across the country.
The primary advocate for these programs has been the Vera Institute of Justice, a radical, pro-illegal-alien nonprofit based in New York City. Vera typically seeks out cities with progressive mayors and city councilors. Then it enters into a partnership with the jurisdiction to launch a deportation defense initiative. Once the program is up and running, Vera slowly withdraws financial support and starts pushing for its program to be funded fully by taxpayers.
The first jurisdiction to launch a cost-free deportation defense program was New York City nearly a decade ago. Now more than 50 similar programs exist in the United States. That is a rapid expansion, especially in light of the fact that neither the states, nor the federal government, have any legal obligation to provide foreign nationals with free lawyers to contest deportation.
The Immigration Reform Law Institute has analyzed the free counsel programs run in conjunction with Vera and estimated that they are costing U.S. taxpayers $5.6 million dollars this year alone. Programs outside New York run in conjunction with other nonprofits are likely costing taxpayers as much or more.
Now consider the potential cost to taxpayers if states began guaranteeing foreign nationals a free lawyer any time they wind up in deportation proceedings – which are triggered only when the foreign national breaks the law. What happens when other soft-on-immigration-violators states – such as Massachusetts, California, Oregon, or Washington – follow New York’s example?
The price tag for the New York bill, should it pass, would be enormous. In the law’s first year, lawyers for immigration violators would cost Empire State taxpayers $55 million and become increasingly more expensive each year, according to a memo accompanying the bill. Once fully implemented, by year six, the law would cost state taxpayers $300 million annually.
Part of the bill’s text references eligibility criteria, in particular domicile in the state of New York. That is beyond bizarre considering many of the beneficiaries of the bill will be illegal aliens. How does one establish legal domicile in a place where one has no right to reside? Equally surprisingly, a criminal background does not disqualify an alien from receiving a free lawyer. For example, illegal aliens found guilty of murder, rape, or any other felony would ostensibly still be able to take advantage of the law – despite the fact that they likely already had a free lawyer during criminal proceedings.
Ultimately, this bill makes no sense. Giving illegal aliens a free attorney to fight their deportations would almost certainly encourage more illegal immigration – an odd move to make when this country is experiencing record levels of illegal border crossings and New York City appears to be buckling under the weight of just a few busses of illegal migrants. Moreover, saddling cash-strapped American taxpayers with the legal bill for uninvited foreign trespassers seems particularly tone-deaf in the midst of a massive recession.
If New York legislators have been hit with an overwhelming need to expend taxpayer funds on some type of free giveaway, then they should direct their largesse at Americans in need – not foreign nationals who have broken our laws.

Massachusetts Becomes 17th State to Give Driver’s Licenses to Illegal Aliens
Massachusetts voters approved a new law that will give driver’s licenses to tens of thousands of illegal aliens living in the sanctuary state over the next three years.
On Tuesday, voters in Massachusetts were asked whether they wanted to uphold a newly passed Democrat law that will begin providing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens in 2023. Up to 85,000 illegal aliens are expected to secure licenses by 2026.
As Breitbart News had reported, a grassroots effort had convened — including local activists and Angel Families — to get the question put on the statewide ballot and then to ensure the law was defeated.
Ultimately, with over 90 percent of precincts reporting, more than 1.2 million Massachusetts voters voted to uphold the driver’s license law while a little more than a million voted to stop the law from going into effect.

With the passage of the law, Massachusetts becomes the 17th state to provide driver’s licenses to illegal aliens — joining California, New York, Colorado, and Connecticut, among others.
In May, Gov. Charlie Baker (R) vetoed the legislation that allows eligible illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses in Massachusetts. Democrats, with majorities in the state legislature, overrode Baker’s veto, putting the legislation on track to become law.

Before Tuesday’s election, 19-year-old illegal alien Everton Candido had become the face of the driver’s license law after he was arrested for allegedly killing 77-year-old Walter Wishoski Jr., a veteran of the Army National Guard who was born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts.
Candido, who was driving without a license, allegedly killed Wishoski in a fatal crash.
The open borders lobby, with the help of elected Democrats, has made securing driver’s licenses for illegal aliens a key fixture of their agenda to eliminate privileges meant solely for American citizens and legal immigrants.
Driver’s licenses for illegal aliens are vital for the open borders lobby because often when illegal aliens are pulled over by local police, driving without a driver’s license is the first criminal charge that can put them in ICE custody for arrest and deportation.
In fiscal year 2020, ICE agents arrested tens of thousands of illegal aliens who were charged or convicted of drunk driving and tens of thousands more who were charged or convicted of traffic offenses.
Today, nearly 300,000 illegal aliens reside in Massachusetts.

94 Migrants from Six Countries Surrender at Border Wall in Arizona
Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents encountered a group of 94 migrants along the border wall near Lukeville, Arizona, on Friday. The migrants came to the United States illegally from six different nations, officials stated.
Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin tweeted a photo on Tuesday of a large group of 94 migrants apprehended by Ajo Station agents on November 4. The crossing of the 94 migrants by human smugglers tied up numerous Border Patrol agents who responded to aid in the identification and processing of the migrants.
Modlin reported that the group of 94 migrants came to the United States from six different countries and included mostly adults and family units.
On Monday, Modlin tweeted images showing the rescue of a severely dehydrated Mexican citizen who lives in Green Valley, Arizona. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations aircrew responded and worked with Tucson Station Border Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) agents to help rescue the Mexican national and transport him to a Tucson-area hospital.
