"The Executive Branch of the federal government has been caught lying about border security, leaving our borders wide open during a time of war, failing to protect states from invasion as required by the US Constitution, and now providing military grade arms to the invaders. We are calling on the Congress today to use all possible remedies including investigations, prosecutions, impeachments, and possible charges of treason."



Immediate investigations, prosecutions, and possible treason charges and military tribunals are needed because the evidence suggests that the American government has been corrupted and compromised on a grand scale regarding the importation of drugs and illegals into America. Military tribunals may be needed since those responsible for this betrayal have been arming paramilitary groups with military grade weapons to invade America during a time of war.

Authorities now believe that Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered with guns acquired through operations 'Gun Runner' and 'Fast and Furious.' Obama's administration has order our Border Patrol agents to fire bean bag rounds while arming the smugglers with fifty caliber rifles.



The ATF is making some kind of strange unbelievable claim that the guns were allowed into Mexico to "gather intelligence" on drug cartels.



"The ATF and the Department of Justice under Obama have just been caught arming a sizable paramilitary force overseeing the invasion of the United States," said William Gheen. "There's no telling how many Americans and Mexicans have been killed with these weapons and how many will die in the future if Congress does not act decisively to restore constitutional governance in America immediately."



The Bush administration, and now the Obama administration, have done all in their power to support illegal immigrants over the wishes and interests of American citizens for the last ten years, which has led to massive job and community instability and an unprecedented shift in US Census counts.

Multiply that times 2 4 children, add the costs of free school breakfast and lunch, free medical care, food stamps, housing subsidies, and other entitlement "give aways". Harvard Professor George Borjas estimates illegal immigration costs the U.S. 70 billion dollars per year and Californians $1,300 per household annually in additional taxes. The Center for Immigration Studies estimate that the average Mexican illegal alien will use $55,200 more in public services during his lifetime than he pays in taxes.

Truth: It already costs $3.00. You just make a $1.00 down payment at the grocery store. County. The gang has grown dramatically over the last two decades by recruiting recently arrived youngsters, most of them illegal, from Central America and Mexico.

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is not only one of the wealthiest and most politically powerful militant organizations in the country, it is also notoriously racist and subversive. The group's name, "La Raza," means "The Race," by which they are referring to ethnic Mexicans, or more broadly to "hispanics" or "latinos." And it is quite clear from their decades of vitriolic rhetoric — both spoken and written — that the La Raza activists are trying to engender not only race consciousness amongst hispanic U.S. citizens and Mexican migrants, but also racial militancy and animosity toward "Gringo America."

MEChA's founding documents and literature are replete with appeals to "La Raza de Bronce" (The Bronze Race) and condemnation of the "brutal gringo." MEChA, as its name suggests, is also a leading promoter of the radical "reconquista" (reconquest) movement, a plan of to take over the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas — a region they refer to as "Aztlan" — which they claim was stolen from the "Aztecan" peoples. NCLR provides major financial support to MEChA and many of NCLR's leaders were MEChA leaders in their college days.

Especially troubling is NCLR's leading role in the Fundacion Solidaridad Mexicano Americana (Foundation for Mexican-American Solidarity, FSMA), an organization founded and funded by the government of Mexico and directed by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Education. Both of these ministries have been engaged in efforts aimed at demanding full political rights for illegal aliens in the U.S. and indoctrinating America's Hispanic population in radical, racist La Raza ideology.

Poll: Mexicans think cartels are winning drug war

MEXICO CITY — Mexicans are in a funk over their president, and a majority of them think that he's losing control of the country, an opinion poll released Tuesday found.

Six out of 10 Mexicans think that organized crime gangs are getting the upper hand in the war that President Felipe Calderon launched against drug trafficking when he came to office in late 2006, the poll by Demotecnia found.

The poll may augur a change in the country's approach to its huge drug-trafficking problem when a new administration takes over after elections next year.

Calderon, 48, is in the fifth and defining year of a six-year presidential term. His National Action Party is struggling to find a suitable candidate for the 2012 presidential elections — Mexico's presidents serve only one term — and Calderon recently suggested that the party should look outside its ranks for a candidate.

While the army-backed offensive that Calderon launched when he took office has disrupted drug gangs and netted a handful of drug barons, it's coincided with a rising death toll. Last year, 15,273 Mexicans were killed, a spike over the 9,600 killed a year earlier. In total, more than 35,000 people have died in drug violence since Calderon took office.

In a telephone poll of 500 Mexicans conducted Saturday, Demotecnia found that 59 percent of respondents said the country was as bad off as or worse off than it was when Calderon took office.

Asked who's gaining the upper hand in the war against narcotics cartels, 59 percent also said drug traffickers were winning, the Mexico City polling firm said.

In another question, respondents were asked whether Calderon had a firm grip on the reins of the country or matters were falling out of his control. Sixty-seven percent picked the latter option.

Demotecnia director Maria de las Heras said the poll reflected frustrations over Calderon's policies on organized crime.

"The drug war has not worked out well, according to the poll," De las Heras said in a telephone interview. "He has put all his political capital into this, and the perception at least, maybe not the reality, is that it is going very badly. The majority of people are not satisfied."

Even President Barack Obama has been drawn into Calderon's woes. On March 19, he and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accepted the resignation of U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Carlos Pascual, whom Calderon had publicly flayed over leaked diplomatic cables that questioned whether Mexico's strategy on the cartels was working.

Obama, on a stop in nearby El Salvador on March 22, told CNN en Espanol that U.S.-Mexican cooperation was "very robust and very effective."

But he added: "The challenge is that the drug cartels have gotten stronger and President Calderon rightly feels frustrated."

De las Heras said part of the gloom among Mexicans was that few better strategies were apparent.

"The sense is that we're in a tunnel where it is hard to see the other side," she said.

Mexico's drug violence respects no borders

The killing of El Monte educator Agustin Roberto 'Bobby' Salcedo in Durango is a reminder that Americans are not immune to the violence.

The execution of El Monte school board member Agustin Roberto "Bobby" Salcedo in the Mexican state of Durango is a horrible reminder that Mexico's drug violence does not belong to Mexico alone. It's ours too. There is the fact that U.S. consumption drives the illicit narcotics trade, of course. But there is also the reality that social and business relationships binding the two countries have resulted in a border that cannot guarantee Americans protection from drug violence.



An estimated 1 million American citizens live in Mexico, and many more travel there each year. Families straddle the border, as do cities. Some cities do so literally, and in those, violence may cross north; others do so through their official and economic ties. Salcedo met his wife, Betzy, of Gomez Palacio, Durango, when she came to Southern California as an exchange student; he was past president of the sister city program between her hometown and his. They were visiting family for the holidays and went out for drinks with friends when Salcedo, 33, was abducted and killed along with five other men. Salcedo's death is a tragedy for his family and community, and our hearts go out to them.



In Mexico, unfortunately, the killing is more commonplace and less shocking. More than 15,000 people are believed to have been slain in drug-related violence there during the last two years, and although the vast majority are believed to have been traffickers, police or military, the victims include a growing number of civilians: more than 400 women, 149 minors, three dozen government officials and at least a dozen journalists in 2009, according to Mexican media tallies. The December killing of drug lord Arturo Beltran Leyva in an operation that also took the life of a Mexican marine was followed within days by the slaying of the marine's grieving mother, sister, brother and aunt.



Most of us think of violence as something that happens somewhere else -- or to someone else. In Mexico, the bloodshed has spread from traditional trafficking strongholds in Sinaloa and Chihuahua to Morelos, where Beltran Leyva was killed, and Tabasco, where the marine's family was slain. In Durango, Betzy Salcedo told The Times' Tracy Wilkinson that "you're careful, you look around, but you never think this kind of thing can happen . . . to innocent people." She and her American husband were having a good time one minute, and the next, "we were in the mouth of the wolf." Sadly, Salcedo is unlikely to be the last American caught up in the brutality.

So much for Tom Ridge and Condi Rice’s assurances that our borders are safer today than 9/11! The facts show our borders as open and vulnerable today as ever.

Not only did (www.AmericanBorderPatrol.com's) former U.S. military veteran Glenn Spencer bring a simulated WMD over the border once, he did it twice! The first time, he didn’t announce it, but the second time, he advertised like Joe Namath when he ‘guaranteed’ he would bring it across. Like Namath, Spencer honored his word.

While the WMD contained no more than foam rubber packed in a case, Spencer and his group performed the mission to demonstrate how a terrorist might bring a real WMD into the USA. "We were careful in making this video to avoid giving terrorists any aid in performing a real mission," Spencer said.

Spencer’s men carried the WMD from the Mexican border to a pick-up point on a main highway five miles north to a main highway. From there, they were picked up and walked right up to the capitol steps in Phoenix. Not once were they stopped. While at the capitol, security guards asked for their ID’s, but never inquired as to what they carried in their packs.

That brings into question the words of Ridge and Rice. Can they be trusted? The unequivocal answer is, "NO!" They’re both out to lunch, on permanent holiday, full of hot air and bravado, or as teenagers would say, "Hey dudes, you’re not in touch with reality!"

This journalist interviewed Glenn Spencer at his base of operations near Sierra Vista, Arizona. His office resembles the War Room at the Pentagon. Spencer sits before five computer monitors that give him instant information on what is happening on the border. He directs a crew of patriots who fly two ‘Border Hawk’ unmanned remote controlled airplanes that can reach across 60 miles of terrain. Each plane carries a video day and night vision camera that can spot illegal aliens below. Each plane is plotted on a video map showing its location at all times. It can pinpoint aliens’ exact locations.

When the cameras spot illegal aliens moving through the high chaparral, Spencer calls in the Border Patrol for pick-up operations. At night, the planes’ night scopes expose illegals’ bodies through infrared sensors.

But that doesn’t solve the fact that a year ago, 30 year veteran Border Patrol officer, John W. Slagle reported that 35,000 OTM (other than Mexican) border crashers hailed from such places as China, India, Brazil and Russia. A total of 7,500 of those invaders came from the Middle Eastern terror sponsoring countries.

While on the border, this journalist hiked well-worn alien entry routes, which usher over 2,200 into our country daily. I viewed the Border Hawk planes in action. I saw the unending trash piled in the washes throughout the desert. I witnessed the lay-up areas and pick-up spots where the illegals are dispersed with clockwork precision. United Parcel Service and Greyhound Bus Lines couldn’t match this operation. They pick up and they deliver, but in this case, Spencer showed how terrorists easily navigate across our Mexican border.

What did he expose? He exposed Vicente Fox as Mexico’s corrupt leader who assists in drug smuggling via his army officers on the take, people smuggling and assisted terror against the American people. What terror? Fox is complicit in allowing millions of poverty and disease stricken Mexicans breaking into our country while he maintains one of the most corrupt regimes in the Western Hemisphere. Instead of taking care of his own countrymen and solving his problems, he pawns them off on us for schooling, welfare, jobs, homes, medical care, anchor babies and colonization of our country. For his impresario work, his minions send him $15 billion annually of our money.

Spencer’s operation made empty rubbish the words of Rice and Ridge as they raise and lower the threat level while doing NOTHING about our southern border. When the next 9/11 occurs, it will originate from terrorists ‘waltzing’ into our country from Mexico. Spencer proved how easy it is, how quick it is and how unguarded it is.

The sad aspect of this operation stems from the fact that U.S. citizens must defend themselves, arm themselves and take action against a foreign enemy while our Congress and top leaders serve wine and gourmet meals inside the Beltway. They were doing the same thing previous to 9/11. Nothing has changed.

In recent comments, officials of the United Auto Workers union have made clear that they are willing to expand the number of workers being paid near-poverty wages as part of new contracts the UAW will negotiate this summer with Ford, General Motors and Chrysler.

This only underscores the utterly fraudulent character of the negotiations that will take place and the contracts that will emerge from them. The whole rigamarole is a cover for the collusion of two business entities—the auto companies and the labor contracting business run by the UAW executives—at the expense of the workers. UAW inc. is setting out to rope in new members and increase its dues flow by making $14 and hour the benchmark for the entire industry.

The UAW first accepted the “two-tier” wage system in 2007, claiming that the $14-an-hour wage—half of what workers were traditionally paid—was a temporary measure that would be reserved for a select number of newly hired non-production workers. In 2009, the UAW extended the lower wage to all new-hires as part of its agreement with the Obama administration in the restructuring of GM and Chrysler. It then signed a similar deal with Ford to keep that company “competitive.”

The assault on auto workers did not end with the 2009 contracts, however. Last summer, the UAW began to extend the lower wages to current workers. The union attempted to ram through a 50 percent wage cut for workers in Indianapolis. Then, behind the backs of GM workers at the Lake Orion assembly plant in suburban Detroit, the UAW agreed to cut wages in half for 40 percent of the plant’s 1,550 workers.

The lower wage, the UAW said, was part of an “innovative labor agreement” mandated under the terms of the GM bailout to allow the company to profitably produce small cars in the US instead of South Korea or Mexico.

This week, following the UAW’s bargaining convention in Detroit, UAW Vice President Joe Ashton, who is heading up contract negotiations with GM, made an appearance at the Lake Orion plant, where he was asked whether the union would be open to applying the lower wage to other plants. “We will look at anything when it comes to negotiations that will retain jobs,” Ashton replied. “We can talk about wages and benefits, but if you don’t have jobs, wages don’t matter much.”

This offer to extend the $14 wage rate is reportedly linked to efforts by the UAW to get GM to reopen plants in Janesville, Wisconsin and Spring Hill, Tennessee, and to keep operations going at a plant in Shreveport, Louisiana that is scheduled to close in 2012. Under the UAW’s proposal, the bulk, if not all, of the workforce at these plants would be paid the lower wage.

The UAW has long justified concessions in wages and benefits as the means of “defending jobs.” The underlying but unstated premise is that the duty of the union is to ensure corporate profits—by helping to impoverish and speed up the workers.

The balance sheet of this policy of capitulation and betrayal is a catastrophic decline in jobs. Hourly employment levels at the Big Three auto companies have plunged from a peak of 1.5 million jobs in 1979 to 372,000 in 1999 and 114,000 today. Entire cities—such as Detroit, Flint and Cleveland—have been devastated.

The US auto companies have no intention of significantly increasing employment. The restructuring of the industry by the Wall Street executives on Obama’s Auto Task Force changed the business model of the car companies so as to ensure high returns for big investors even under conditions of falling demand and declining market share. The precondition was a brutal attack on the jobs and living standards of auto workers—a process overseen by the UAW—which has resulted in bumper profits and CEO payouts, like the $56 million Ford’s Alan Mulally pocketed last year.

The UAW’s own business model is based on marketing itself as the purveyor to the auto bosses of a highly exploited and cheap labor force. Having seen its membership rolls fall to the lowest levels since shortly after its founding in 1935, the union’s growth strategy is to convince the auto giants that they can make more money by shifting production back to the US rather than maintaining it in low-wage havens in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

The UAW has similarly set out to convince Toyota, Honda and other Asian and German automakers that operate non-unions plants in the US that it is in their interests to allow the UAW into their plants because the union can guarantee low wages and high productivity and will devote all its energies to suppressing the resistance of the workers.

Appealing directly to the heads of these companies, UAW President Bob King recently declared, “We’re building on the success of the Big Three in saying the UAW leadership and the UAW membership delivers the best quality, the best productivity and the best attendance record. We’re really committed to the success of companies where we represent workers.”

In preparation for the contract talks with the Big Three, the UAW is also considering proposals to replace increases in base wages with a pay-for-performance scheme that would tie pay to productivity, quality improvements and profits. This would erode the legal requirement for the bosses to pay a set wage and throw workers back to the conditions of industrial slavery they fought to abolish 70 years ago.

The United Auto Workers, like the official trade union apparatus as a whole, has an antagonistic relationship to the workers it claims to represent. The media and the pseudo-left groups that defend the official unions continue to talk about “negotiations,” “bargaining” and “unions” as if there was a fundamental conflict between the UAW and the bosses and the UAW stood on the side of the workers. Neither proposition is true.

The term “negotiating” means nothing when the UAW holds a substantial ownership stake in the companies, identifies openly with their interests, and enforces no-strike and binding arbitration clauses that criminalize any collective resistance by the workers.

There is enormous opposition building up to the UAW, as the rebellions by rank-and-file workers over the last year in Indianapolis and Fremont, California have shown. Moreover, there is a new mood of resistance in the working class as a whole, highlighted by the month-long battle in Wisconsin, against the unrelenting attacks of big business on jobs, living standards and workplace rights.

The best efforts of the union executives, in close partnership with the Democratic Party, will not be able to prevent the emergence of working class opposition. Auto workers, like their class brothers and sisters throughout the country and internationally, will fight back.

The situation facing auto workers is, however, a concentrated expression of a crisis of leadership that confronts the working class as a whole. The success of these struggles depends on the formation of new organizations—rank-and-file committees independent of the unions and democratically controlled by the workers themselves.

Most importantly, workers need a new political perspective. The role of the UAW is inextricably tied to its political alliance with the Democratic Party and the capitalist system. The UAW, as with the union apparatus as a whole, defends absolutely the right of the corporations to run the economy so as to maximize the profits of the executives and Wall Street. From this flows the UAW’s demand that auto workers accept their own impoverishment.

The fight to defend the jobs and wages of auto workers must be linked to the struggle of the working class as a whole to take political power and transform the economy on the basis of social need, not private profit. This is the fight for socialism.

Daniel "Danny" McComas, a Republican from Wilmington and New Hanover County, voted against HB 33. He voted to protect illegal aliens using Matricula ID to steal jobs, classroom seats, and other taxpayer resources from Americans.



He joined illegal alien supporting Republican Representative Jeff Barnhart who hails from Concord, NC in Cabarrus County.



Barnhart's support for illegal aliens comes as no surprise since he was one of the two Republican sponsors of the infamous HB 1183 bill back in 2005. That bill sought to provide in-state tuition benefits for illegal immigrants who would have replaced innocent NC Students in our limited college seats at taxpayer expense!



How in the world a sellout Republican like Barnhart is still in office after supporting a highly visible bill like HB 1183, which 81% of likely NC voters oppose according to poling by the JWP Civitas organization in Raleigh, is a mystery.



Perhaps Danny McComas should look at what happened to Barnhart's last Republican accomplice aiding illegal immigrant invaders in NC. Republican Representative John Sauls of Lee County encountered such a strong backlash over his anti-American behavior and support for taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens that he resigned at the end of the same year that HB 1183 was soundly defeated.



I guess many of us who consider ourselves to be true conservatives assumed that the Republicans in Jeff Barnhart's district would take care of business in the primaries by removing such a vulnerable candidate. This is usually the case around the country, but yet Barnhart remains to continue with his pro illegal alien voting record in Raleigh.



Jeff Barnhart and Danny McComas voting with Democrats to support illegal aliens is bad enough, but for them to break ranks with the Republican Caucus at a time when Republicans have gained control of the NC Legislature for the first time in 130 years adds further insult to conservatives.



The North Carolina Republican Party does not need illegal immigration supporting lawmakers like Jeff Barnhart and Danny McComas when they show a pattern of working and voting alongside liberal extremists like Representative Paul Luebke and Deborah Ross on legislation.



Let us call upon Republican lawmakers in North Carolina, along with the NC GOP, Republican Auxiliary organizations, Tea Party groups, and conservative activists to unify to assure that both Representatives Barnhart and McComas face tier 1 GOP primary challengers in 2012!



Qualified and dedicated Republican candidates should be able to easily dispatch both of these gentlemen from the elected official list by contacting GOP voters with their voting records showing alignment with illegal immigrants and urban liberals like Luebke and Ross.



According to the polling data, both McComas and Barnhart and their Democratic allies are out of alignment with approximately 80% of all likely NC voters and those numbers are probably higher in a GOP primary scenario.



HB 33 is now headed to the NC Senate where the Mexican Consulate and other illegal immigration supporters are counting on RINO (Republican In Name Only) Republicans to join with liberal Democrats as McComas and Barnhart did to stop any significant state level protections against illegal immigration.



It would only take about three Republicans to jump ship in the NC Senate to stop these bills.



We can also count on the open borders invasion lobby to try to persuade President Pro Tempore Phil Berger to resume the old tactics of the Democrats and suppress these bills in committee.



The North Carolina public, including members of both parties and every race, must send a very clear message to the Democrats and the Republican traitors who would join them in their support for the invasion of our state that we will remember next November.



In fact, it is long past due that we set up a special committee in North Carolina that will work to establish more direct contact with voters in the districts of lawmakers who vote against immigration enforcement bills in our state. We have enough friends and allies in the General Assembly right now that we can detect and illuminate any person or group that tries to stop these bills behind the scenes. We are going to light them up for all to see if they try to stop our bills.



The NC House is obviously in good hands under the leadership of Speaker Tillis and the fine leaders he has arrayed around him in key positions.



The NC Senate Republicans are yet to be tested on this issue.



We do know that illegal immigration issues were one of the top motivating factors behind NC voters throwing the Democrats out of power after 130 years! Republicans promised real change and while the top GOP leadership tried to dodge the issue on the statewide level, many Republican candidates who won promised voters action to stop illegal immigrants from running amok in NC.



Let's go ahead and line up candidates and campaigns to replace RINOs like Barnhart and McComas in the NC House immediately. Let's send a clear message to all Democrats and sellout Republicans that we will fight and remove anyone that stands in the way of our efforts to protect NC workers who are losing their jobs and wages to illegals, NC students who are losing their college seats to illegals, NC taxpayers who are losing over 1 Billion dollars in stolen resources, and NC voters who are losing their voting power due to elections fraud and corruption involving illegals.



There are other RINOs on the NC Senate side negotiating with power groups like the Mexican Consulate and we need to send a clear message that we are ready to take them on if they dare to try to stop legislation supported by 80% of NC voters.



Over 90% of the NC Republican lawmakers are doing their job to represent the people of our state. Now, let us do our job by setting the task of removing those who would deny the public defense against this invasion from office in the next election cycle.



For any who we fail to remove in 2012, let us push again year after year until we elect Americans who support Americans instead of illegal alien invaders and their power groups.



Copies of this letter will be sent to Republican leaders in each county that Barnhart and McComas represent and let our efforts here in NC be an example for all states trying to defend against invasion. Let's hold these invasion supporting state lawmakers accountable by removing them from office in primaries and general elections.

Sanctuary City May Recognize Mexican IDs

As local governments across the U.S. find ways to battle illegal immigration, a North Carolina city is working to help undocumented aliens by becoming the nation’s first to accept an easily forged Mexican card as a legal form of identification.

The controversial “Matricula Consular” cards have been around for years and many banks accept them as a valid form of identification, but the government doesn’t because they’re not secure and are extremely susceptible to fraud. Regardless, the Durham City Council may soon pass a resolution to make the laughable cards legal.

If the measure passes the Mexican cards will be accepted as an official form of ID by Durham Police and for all business conducted with the city, according to a copy of the proposed law provided by a local news station. Two open borders groups wrote the resolution and Durham’s city attorney has approved it, advising council members that they “need not be impacted” by controversy surrounding the “security and validity of the Matricula Consular.”

That’s because the illegal immigrant advocates who authored the law assure that the Mexican cards have “been shown to be a highly secure form of identification issued to Mexican citizens living in other countries.” Furthermore, accepting the cards will assist in minimizing “unnecessary and potentially life-changing arrests of hard-working residents.”

Allowing the open borders movement to dictate law is nothing new in North Carolina, which has several illegal immigrant sanctuaries, including Chapel Hill, Charlotte and Raleigh. In 2003 Durham passed a resolution officially declaring its sanctuary status and prohibiting police from inquiring about suspects’ immigration status.

A Mexican clan of document forgers operates in 33 states,

including Illinois. In Chicago, their annual take is around $2.5 million, and their main collaborators are gang members.



Los Angeles - In 1848 what came to be called the Gold Rush started. People came to California from all over the world to seek their fortunes. The idea of getting rich without much effort was the main reason they left their countries and headed for the promised land to seek the precious metal.



And so did Pedro Castorena-Ibarra and Manuel Leija-Sánchez, albeit 138 years later. In 1987 they found their goldmine in California. At that time the United States Congress had just passed a law giving amnesty to the undocumented who were living in the country.



This was when the boom in forged documents got going. Everybody wanted to get the paperwork and, whatever the cost, have the documentation to show length of stay in the country so they could work legally.



Pedro and Manuel took advantage of the situation and made

document forgery into a highly profitable family business. Authorities estimate that this organization generates earnings of $300 million annually.



The Castorena and Leija families, according to reports by the federal government, run a criminal organization dedicated to the production and distribution of fake documents. It is a criminal network extending into 33 states across the country.



Its main leaders are Pedro Castorena and Manuel Leija, both in prison, but still in control of the cartel.



The organization is run from their native Mexico by their parents, Alfonso Castorena and Natividad Leija, according to a federal agent involved in the investigation, ongoing for five years, which last month led to the arrest of Pedro Castorena in Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco.



In terms of financial organization and operation, the organization has been compared to the Arellano Félix cartel in drug running and the Peralta-Rodríguez brothers´ organization in the human trafficking business.



Specializing in forged ID cards, mainly the residency and work permit document called "green cards," the Castorena-Leija cartel is not above activities associated with the drug trade and human trafficking "coyotes."



Suad Leija, Manuel Leija´s stepdaughter, described in an interview the secrets of the organization , disclosing that it is also involved with human trafficking gangs which bring people across the United States border illegally.



"They also have connections with the Monterrey gang. Pedro knew the most about those people, and after him, my stepfather," Suad commented.



This organization is considered by Immigration and Customs

Enforcement (ICE), a branch of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as one of the largest internationally, with connections in Central America and Mexico.



Friends from their childhood days, Pedro and Manuel became so good at the counterfeit document business that they used other identities, with which they managed for quitea while to outwit whoever was hot on their heels.



They came to the US almost 20 years ago. Los Angeles was their cradle, where they first "went into business." Later they expanded to Chicago, where Manuel Leija ran the show. Little by little, they established themselves in New York, and then in Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Denver, among other cities.



US Attorney Bill Leone has described this organization as a large-scale threat to national security, as it provides tools to criminals to evade justice.



"These tools help criminals hide their identity and gain access to places where they should not be allowed. They facilitate other forms of identity theft," Leoni declared, revealing this organization´s operations. "They serve as a store for not just illegal immigrants but also for drug smugglers, money launderers and potential terrorists."



For ICE Director of Investigations Marcy Forman, the Castorena-Leija organization, which can provide forged documents to terrorists intent on violating national security, is one of the largest and most sophisticated counterfeiter networks.



Los Angeles City Prosecutor Arturo Martínez, who has prosecuted several cases of forged documents, explained that the proliferation of counterfeit documentation leads to the crime of identity theft and is a national security problem while generating multi-million dollar losses

to the economy.



It concerns a problem which goes beyond just getting a fake document to show proof of age for getting into a bar, Martínez explained. "It´s a highly complex problem, not just the crime of forging a document, but because other crimes are committed. There are criminals who get these documents to hide their identity, to get through airport security or to commit fraud."

Counterfeiter´s stepdaughter puts family on display Suad Leija doesn´t care if she unmasks her family. This 22-year-old young woman feels that national security is more important. Her stepfather is Manuel Leija-Sánchez, identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as one of the ringleaders of a band of document ounterfeiters. She confirmed this.



In recent months, Suad has worked as informant for the federal government. Investigators from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have been able to clear up several questions. Last month, together with Mexico´s Federal Investigations Agency (AFI, per its Spanish initials), managed to arrest Pedro Castorena in Guadalajara, one of America´s most wanted for the crime of

counterfeiting documents.

godparents of each other´s children, are both in jail. The former is in the process of extradition from Mexico; the latter is close to completing a one-year sentence. They are the ringleaders of a band of counterfeiters operating in 33 states across the country, according to Suad, whose explanation is backed up by the ICE investigation.



From somewhere in the state of Georgia, Suad Leija offered a telephone interview to La Opinión. Her first words were, "My stepfather Manuel killed my real father in order to marry my mother."



At that time, she said, she was a baby. They were living in Mexico City. When Manuel got her mother, they moved to Los Angeles, California in 1987. Suad was two years old. Together with Pedro Castorena, Manuel Leija and a few other relatives got started in the counterfeiting business.



"My job was counting the money. I put it in envelopes, making envelopes of a thousand, two thousand, five thousand dollars." Suad remembered her work as a child, for which she was paid fifty dollars.



In just a few years, the Castorenas and the Leijas managed to amass a fortune. In Mexico they have chains of motels, bars and restaurants,the result of money laundering.



"When we arrived in Los Angeles, we lived in Pedro´s apartment - he was called `Perico´ [parrot] - and with his wife, Julieta León," the young woman explained. "That´s where they got started. Pedro and my stepfather sold documents and counted the money on weekends. That was my job, counting the money."



In the early 90´s, the business now flourishing, Manuel took charge of the Chicago market, where they were expanding. The whole family moved together.



"My stepfather took the Chicago area. My uncles, Julio and Pedro Leija, shared the other cities. In Chicago, my stepfather took in 2.5 million dollars a year," Suad commented.



The young woman assured that, in spite of being in jail, Pedro Castorena and Manuel Leija have kept control of the organization. Federal agents consulted by La Opinión indicated that this organization has a few hundred people operating across the country in various cells.



From Mexico, where the money is laundered in motels, bars, brothels and gyms, Suad said the business is controlled by Alfonso Castorena (in Guadalajara), Pedro´s father, and by Natividad Leija-Herrera (in Tlanepantla), Manuel´s father.



A report in the Library of Congress, called Organized Crime and Terrorist Activities in Mexico, 1999-2002, points out that the founders of this organization, based in Guadalajara, are Alfonso Castorena and Juan San Germán, who have members of the Latin Kings gang as collaborators in the Little Village neighborhood in Chicago.



In Las Vegas and Los Angeles, members of the 18th Street gang have also been linked to this organization. Suad fears for her life. She says she has already been threatened, so she moves from one place to another, under protection from the federal government. And for certain the Castorenas and Leijas have money and power aplenty. Authorities estimate that every year their document counterfeiting generates $300 million.



"I don´t know how they figure tha amount, but my stepfather is always the first one to have the latest model car. He is quite the showoff in Mexico, although in the United States he is ever so humble, appearing to be a low-level worker so as to not call attention, but there in Mexico he´s quite the opposite," Suad said.



Manuel Leija used to put on huge, rowdy parties in his parents´ home in the Jiménez Cantú section of the city of Tlanepantla in the State of Mexico. He liked drinking sprees and to have the band Los Tigres del Norte play "El Jefe de Jefes" [The Boss of Bosses] for him. With a glass of Azteca de Oro brandy in his hand, wearing a Versace shirt, fine boots and jewels on his neck, Manuel would sing noisily. He would say he was The Boss of Bosses.



While Manuel lingers in jail, every third month his brothers Pedro, Julio, Elías and José Luis take turns with the business in the United States, Suad remarked.



"That is, everybody gets a chance to make money. They take turns with the business, each one putting together his sales team, and then my aunts take charge of handling and managing the money."



Why inform on your family? "For me, it´s like they never were. I am not of their blood. When I was little, they never treated me like I was part of the real family. Besides, it doesn´t matter to them if one of the documents they forge falls into the hands of a terrorist...All that matter to them is money."

Politics: If there's one agency that's been made useless by its leaders, it's Immigration and Customs Enforcement. If, under a new policy, being here illegally is no longer reason enough for deportation, why does it still exist?

The Obama administration has effectively declared open borders to millions of would-be illegal immigrants — not through legislation, but with a sneaky policy move.

On Aug. 20, its man at ICE, John Morton, wrote a memo stating that being in the U.S. illegally is no longer sufficient reason to send someone home. An illegal immigrant now has to be a security threat or else commit a crime — and a violent one at that. To everyone else, ICE turns the blind eye.

Director Morton says it's a matter of priorities. But make no mistake: This is amnesty by another name.

Adding insult to injury, ICE will empty its costly, just-built detention centers of 17,000 existing deportation cases as long as an illegal can show that he or she has applied to become legal.

This, says the New York Times, will "pare huge case backlogs." And to ICE bureaucrats, it's proof they're doing their jobs.

In fact, it's an astonishing abrogation of duty. The policy turns ICE into a $6 billion border-jitney service for the subset of illegals who were picked up by other law enforcement agencies, convicted of violent crime and have served their time, and whose jailers didn't forget to put them on an "immigration hold" list.

Any others can make themselves at home.

That goes for the Mexican Zeta cartel members who are busy recruiting assassins in barrooms around Phoenix, as Fox News reported Friday.

Nothing violent about recruiting, you know — and that goes for illegal immigrants who've illegally voted in U.S. elections.

In the latter case, Fox reported that ICE itself helpfully sent a form letter to an illegal who admitted doing that, coaching him to take his name off the voter rolls first so his application could go through smoothly. ICE didn't mind that the man had admitted to committing a felony. The bureaucrats just wanted to issue him his U.S. citizenship so they could clear the backlog.

It also goes for the Mexican cartel members who may be buying off city governments like that of Cudahy, Calif., which is under FBI investigation. It also goes for illegal immigrants who invade rural properties at night in Arizona, terrifying ranchers.

Not surprisingly, there's no one angrier about this mission-nullification than ICE agents themselves. Last June their union issued a letter expressing a membership consensus of "no confidence" in Morton and Assistant Director Phyllis Coven.

They have "abandoned the agency's core mission of enforcing United States immigration laws and providing for public safety, and have instead directed their attention to campaigning for programs and policies related to amnesty," the agents declared.

By extension, no one's happier than the Mexican cartels that have muscled into the immigrant-smuggling business, making about a third of their income from fees charged for such assistance.

Morgan's no-deport policy is just the enticement they need to bring in new business that will fatten up the fee income they use to make war on the Mexican state.

Last Monday's discovery of a massacre of 72 would-be illegals in Tamaulipas, Mexico, on their way to Los Angeles makes clear what lies ahead. Human smuggling is an evil ICE should not encourage.

The cartels are monopolies that make $500,000 or so per human "load" into the U.S., but they also press many illegals into becoming foot soldiers. Some are forced into sex slavery, and others — as the sole survivor of the Tamaulipas massacre claimed — are ordered to become cartel assassins in the U.S. — or else.

The fact that the U.S. no longer enforces immigration laws for anyone except those with violent criminal or terrorist convictions will draw would-be immigrants into this racket like a magnet.

At a time when U.S. diplomats' families have been ordered to evacuate the consulate in Mexico's second-biggest city, Monterrey — as happened Friday — any encouragement of illegal immigration works at cross purposes to the real national security mission of defeating cartels.

ICE leaders talk smugly about "priorities," but they've effectively abandoned their agency's core law-enforcement mission and become servants of the immigration lobby. ICE should be allowed to do the job it's tasked with. Failing that, it should be disbanded.

Immigration Agency Ends Some Deportations

Immigration enforcement officials have started to cancel the deportations of thousands of immigrants they have detained, a policy they said would pare huge case backlogs in the immigration courts.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said the new approach was part of a broad shift in priorities at the agency, to focus its efforts on catching and deporting immigrants who have been convicted of crimes or pose a national security threat. The policy — announced in an Aug. 20 memorandum from John Morton, the head of the agency — drew praise from immigrant advocates, who called it a common-sense strategy, and was denounced by several Republicans as evidence that the Obama administration was weakening enforcement and making it easier for illegal immigrants to remain in the country.

Illegals' low expectations for the rule of law is turning Southern California into Mexico.

"A rough-and-tumble world of small-city politics has come to define the drug- and gang-infested cities clustered around the 710 freeway: Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Lynwood, Maywood and South Gate, among others.



In recent decades, the demographic shift from white working class to Mexicans and Central Americans resulted in immigrants and their sons and daughters gaining political power. Now, most elected officials reflect the majority Latino population. But high unemployment, illegal immigration and a maze of freeways, truck stops and industrial areas — just a half-day’s drive from Mexico — have contributed to the busy drug-trafficking zones, blight and violence.



Residents, many of them illegal or too young to vote, have it rough. After complaining to authorities or taking too much notice of suspicious activity on their block, some low-income residents have been repaid with retaliation or violent threats. In Cudahy, one persistent complainer got a door-knock from the police — a public no-no that alerts drug dealers to the complainer’s identity and can result in that person’s property being vandalized.



“It gets a lot worse than that,” says a local cop, acknowledging that criminal threats are so common that police are hard-pressed to investigate them.



In contrast to the vulnerability of the average Cudahy resident, business owners who operate questionable businesses get velvet-glove treatment from politicians that would be considered scandalous in the city of Los Angeles. In Cudahy, the Potrero Club is one of several magnets for crime and is frequented by gangsters, but it is nevertheless embraced by Cudahy authorities. A notorious nightspot that parents warn their children to stay away from, the Potrero Club has a long record of being the scene of thefts, assaults and drug activity.



Officials in Cudahy openly promote this crime magnet, however, holding fund-raisers for the Cudahy Youth Foundation there and even using it as an annual gathering spot for a children’s Christmas pageant. Cudahy has sunk so low that each year at Christmastime, Perez and the city council parade around town on the back of a tow truck and toss candy to the children, with the procession ending in a toy giveaway at the Potrero Club, whose owners in the past have displayed photos not of Hollywood movie stars but of famous Mexican drug traffickers.



Crime statistics for the Potrero Club show 700 calls for police assistance there since September 2003, in response to reports of shootings, assaults, stabbings, beatings by security guards, drug use — even rape.



City leaders don’t find it strange that a dangerous nightclub passes for a civic pillar in Cudahy. Cars disappear from the Potrero at an alarming rate, according to police reports obtained by the Weekly. When asked about Cudahy’s use of the Potrero for official events, Perez says, 'It’s not my favorite place, but we’ll continue to use it.'"

The first sign of trouble for Cudahy City Council candidate Tony Mendoza was a pair of thong panties mailed to his wife, with a note telling her to watch her husband’s back. Then came the phone calls — and the death threats.

A political novice in a tiny city of Mexican immigrants that hasn’t had an election since 1999, Mendoza had expected dirty tricks. But to his dismay, the caller, who spoke poor English and called every day for three days, said Mendoza would be killed if he did not leave Cudahy, a 1.2-square-mile city 10 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. After the third call, Mendoza pulled out of the March 6 race. “I have my family to think about,” he said.

Running for council seats against a slate of incumbents in a city infested with gangs and drugs, Danny Cota and Luis Garcia faced similar tactics. A truck owned by Garcia, a former city employee, was painted with graffiti, and ex-felon and Cudahy city employee Gerardo Vallejo sought a restraining order against Garcia for criminal threats. A judge tossed the complaint, but Garcia’s campaign was rattled.

In late December, at a holiday gathering at the City Club in downtown Los Angeles hosted by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Cota ran into Bell Gardens City Councilman Mario Beltran, who was perplexed to see Cota, a 29-year-old teacher, hobnobbing and being photographed with Villaraigosa and others.

“Who brought him here?” Councilman Beltran asked onlookers, some of whom are friends of Cudahy’s Vice Mayor, Osvaldo Conde, who is running for re-election. “You better watch out,” Beltran warned Cota, the bright-eyed challenger. “Conde will take care of you with his cuerno de chivo.”

Though Beltran was smiling as he tossed off some Mexican slang for an AK-47, Cota says he did not appreciate such talk. A witness, Maywood Mayor Sergio Calderon, a friend of Cota’s, says, “It was a joke, a tasteless joke.”

Eight Out of Ten Illegal Aliens Apprehended in 2010 Never Prosecuted, Says Border Congressman

Washington (CNSNews.com) – An illegal alien apprehended by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency during the last fiscal year had an estimated 84 percent chance of never being prosecuted, according to figures compiled by the office of Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas).

Culberson submitted the figures for the record during a hearing Wednesday of the House Appropriations subcommittee on homeland security.



Of 447,731 illegal aliens apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol during fiscal year 2010 (which ended last September), only 73,263 (16.4 percent) were prosecuted, according to the submitted data. That means that 374,468 illegal aliens that were taken into custody (83.6 percent) were never prosecuted
