THE DEMOCRAT PARTY SQUANDERS AMERICA... AND THEN HANDS WHAT IS LEFT TO ILLEGALS

Learning Nothing from Yesterday

Progressive spending plans are a retread from 1966.

The Democrat Party’s left wing promises government money for every voting constituency: free college tuition, free medical care, infrastructure spending between $1 trillion and $2 trillion, $50 billion for historically black colleges, a Green New Deal, and so on. But progressives’ campaign speeches are long on promises and short on detail.
More than 50 years after the 1966 Freedom Budget and Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs, the Democrats still largely praise the sixties’ social-engineering experiments, even as American inner cities stand in disrepair. Black education, income, and wealth gaps remain, despite estimates that the government has already spent $20 trillion in inflation-adjusted dollars on antipoverty programs since 1964.
Both parties appear to have reached a hushed consensus on the principle that budget integrity is of little concern because a combination of higher taxes and the Federal Reserve’s printing press will pay for any government spending. Government expenditures are considered moral issues, not subject to sound fiscal analysis or historical experience. The process, as Bernie Sanders recently reminded New York Times readers, started in earnest with Franklin Roosevelt’s 1944 State of the Union address, in which FDR enumerated a “Second Bill of Rights” for material well-being, including “a useful and remunerative job,” “a decent home,” “adequate medical care,” “a good education,” and “protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment.” Security would become politically synonymous with liberty, the casualty being individual responsibility.
In 1964, demands for action on social conditions began in earnest when Whitney Young, Jr., executive director of the National Urban League, called for massive state intervention. “Disadvantaged for three centuries,” Young wrote, “American Negroes require compensatory benefits . . . a domestic Marshall Plan.” The real Marshall Plan, however, was used to restore the economic systems of countries that had once enjoyed functioning economies. The plans envisioned by Young and other black leaders purported to create functioning economies in inner-city neighborhoods where the economies had long been dormant.
But Young understood that government could only do so much, and that black people would have to rise to the challenge of full citizenship. “They must march not only to the picket lines but to the libraries,” he wrote, “and prepare themselves for the stiffening competition of a no-holds-barred marketplace.” In 1965, Martin Luther King adopted Young’s Marshall Plan metaphor, with a similar $50 billion demand. Like Young, King would attach a condition: “[O]ne of [the black person’s] chief responsibilities is to prepare himself . . . We must face up honestly to our shortcomings . . . We seek integration based on mutual respect.”
Within a year, though, King had doubled his 1965 request, dropped individual responsibility, and included the white poor. But King offered no detailed outline of expenditures or accountability, aside from assuming that funds would be taken from the defense budget. Both King and Roy Wilkins of the NAACP realized that a program encompassing all poor people, rather than one targeting blacks specifically, would gain more political support. Money, according to King, would bring “a spectacular decline in school dropouts, family breakups, crime rates, illegitimacy, swollen relief rolls, rioting and other social evils.” Along with A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin, King promoted the first full-blown request for such a redistributive effort, a “Freedom Budget for all Americans.” Randolph and Rustin were soft-shell Marxists. According to his biographer, David Garrow, King, too, adhered to democratic socialism.
The Freedom Budget called for an expenditure of $185 billion ($1.5 trillion in 2019 dollars) over ten years. The “proposal” ran only eight and a half pages, including charts and illustrations and several pages of introductions by King and Randolph; questions and responses made up two and a half pages. Randolph declared the Freedom Budget “concrete,” “specific,” “quantitative,” and “not visionary or utopian.” Productivity gains would supposedly pay for the program’s $185 billion cost, and then some. Proponents forecast no tax increases, even with a 30 percent increase in national defense spending over ten years. Infrastructure improvement and environmental remediation would provide climate justice avant la lettre: “Critical shortages of water and power persist. . . . Air and water remain polluted. Recreation facilities are unavailable to those who need them.” The miracle plan would eliminate most of the “poverty problem” via “full employment at decent wages . . . without a single make-work job.”
Though the Freedom Budget was never enacted, expenditures for poverty programs skyrocketed under the Great Society in the same categories—education, housing, and health—that King and Randolph had specified.
Half a century later, the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates seem to be reviving the Freedom Budget and brushing over the fallacies of Great Society logic in their rush to impose a Green New Deal on Americans. Thorny questions about the tax revenues needed to fund such outlays are dismissed as partisan abstractions. Though cost-prohibitive, trillion-dollar campaign promises make great politics.
Policy justification has moved from stimulating self-help to victimhood. Gone are the notions of individual responsibility advocated by Young and King. Instead, left-wing Democrats have substituted dependency—inducing government largesse, an expanded central government, a reduced private sector, ignorance of past program failures, and disregard for the adaptability and entrepreneurship inherent in American capitalism. They show no inclination to eliminate failed programs or fix broken ones.
Labor economist Hyman Bookbinder, one of the godfathers of the Great Society, eventually conceded its ineffective grandiosity. “I can’t think of a single idea or policy recommendation,” he noted, “that was of any lasting consequence.” A straight line runs from FDR’s Second Bill of Rights through the Marshall Plan as a model for domestic economic development to the Freedom Budget’s freewheeling spending—and on to the current Democratic enthusiasm for increased taxes and government control at the expense of the private sector. The current enthusiasm is exemplified by the Green New Deal, which includes a new spin on identity politics. Creeping socialism eventually gallops.

Report: Facebook Moderators Expose Disturbing Details of Zuckerberg’s Empire

Facebook content moderators have reportedly broken their NDAs to expose the inner workings of monitoring content on the social media platform. Moderators described traumatic videos and imagery they were made to view on the platform, which alone has reportedly resulted in workplace chaos, physical illness, and the eventual development of PTSD.

Employees at Cognizant — a company contracted by Facebook to moderate its content — have come forward with their stories about what life is like working for the company, as well as the PTSD suffered as a result of moderating disgusting content on the social media platform, according to a recent report by the Verge.
In addition to working in an allegedly filthy environment, current and former content moderators at the Tampa, Florida, site have also reported instances of death threats, sexual harassment, fear of being fired over taking time off work, as well as aloof and inattentive managers, who had initially misled applicants regarding their job descriptions.
Facebook moderator Shawn Speagle tole the Verge that a recruiter at Cognizant initially told him that his job would be helping businesses analyze engagement on their Facebook pages. Speagle said that after just two weeks on the production floor, a manager informed him that his full-time role would actually be reviewing graphic violence and “hate speech” on Facebook.
“They just said me and [my colleague] were very meticulous and had a lot of promise to move up to the SME position,” said Speagle. “They said Facebook is basically shoving all of their graphic violence content to us, that they didn’t want it anymore. So they had to move more people to cover it. And that’s all that we saw, every single day.”
Speagle said that the first video he saw while working on his new assignment involved two teenagers smashing an iguana on a street, while a third teenager filmed the violent incident.
“They beat the living shit out of this thing,” Speagle told the Verge, “The iguana was screaming and crying. And they didn’t stop until the thing was a bloody pulp.”
Cognizant denies accusations that its employees are tasked with surprise-roles, such as moderating graphic content on Facebook, insisting that all employees are made aware of their job descriptions well in advance.
“For our associates who opt to work in content moderation, we are transparent about the work they will perform,” said a Cognizant spokesman, “They are made aware of the nature of the role before and during the hiring process, and then given extensive and specific training before working on projects.”
Speagle said that he watched videos of people throwing puppies into a raging river, putting lit fireworks in dogs’ mouths, mutilating the genitals of a live mouse, chopping off a cat’s face with a hatchet, as well as people playing with human fetuses.
The content moderator added that he was eventually unable to sleep any longer than two or three hours per night, and would frequently wake up crying in a cold sweat.
By June of 2018, Speagle said that Facebook began seeing a slew of videos depicting organs being harvested from children, and that moderators were told they had to watch at least 15 to 30 seconds of each video.
“It was mass panic. All the SMEs had to rush in there and try to help people,” said Speagle, “They were freaking out — they couldn’t handle it. People were crying, breaking down, throwing up. It was like one of those horror movies. Nobody’s prepared to see a little girl have her organs taken out while she’s still alive and screaming.”
Seagle said that due to depression and lack of sleep, it had become difficult for him to exercise.
“I felt like I was trapped inside my own body — I couldn’t, for the life of me, get up from my desk, or I would be yelled at to stay in my desk” said Speagle, “So I was trapped at my desk and in my body. I was so scared.”
The Facebook content moderator added that by February, a psychiatrist had diagnosed him with PTSD, for which he is currently in treatment.
Speagle is not the only content moderator suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Breitbart News reported earlier this year of other Facebook content moderators developing symptoms of PTSD, as well as resorting to using drugs while on break, as a means for escaping the “misery” of seeing traumatic images on the social media platform.
Speagle, who was laid off from his job last October, has reportedly gone back to school to seek his teaching certificate, noting that the horrors he had witnessed on Facebook made him want to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people.
When asked what he thought needed to change, Speagle replied, stating, “I think Facebook needs to shut down.”

U.S. WITHHOLDS HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS FROM EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA AND HONDURAS.... But Gaven Newsom and Nancy Pelosi tell them to invade MEXIFORNIA... Jobs and welfare checks are waiting!

THE CONSPIRACY TO SABOTAGE HOMELAND SECURITY

The Democrat Party’s secret agenda for wider open borders, more welfare for invading illegals, more jobs and free anything they illegally vote for…. All to destroy the two-party system and build the GLOBALISTS’ DEMOCRAT PARTY FOR WIDER OPEN BORDERS TO KEEP WAGES DEPRESSED.

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2018/11/frontpage-hidden-agenda-of-pueblo-sin.html

Demonstrably and irrefutably the Democrat Party became the party whose principle objective is to thoroughly transform the nature of the American electorate by means of open borders and the mass, unchecked importation of illiterate third world peasants who will vote in overwhelming numbers for Democrats and their La Raza welfare state. FRONTPAGE MAG

GAVIN NEWSOM HEADS TO EL SALVADOR TO AID THE SALVADORIAN INVASION OF THE MEXICAN WELFARE STATE OF CALIFORNIA… It’s your Democrat Politician at work… FOR ILLEGALS!
Last year in fact, that game was going full speed. El Salvador's remittances hit arecord $5.47 billion. Literally one out of six Salvadorans now lives in the U.S., and 680,000 of those make their home in benefit-rich California. Salvadoran politicians actually campaign for office in California, owing to the sizable number of Salvadoran voters, many of whom are here illegally., signaling that there's a lot of work to be had for the newest (and least likely to be legal) migrants in the states now, most of which is coming from California.
Here come Big Daddy, the California governor, the gringo who's already laid out a banquet of goodies for Salvadorans in California, from free health care to free education, to sanctuary state protections to enable illegals to work, coming there supposedly to find out how he can offer ... even more goodies to Salvador's uneducated lower middle classes. The idea of course is to get even more of them to come over. Big Daddy comes down with the Santa sack full of goodies. MONICA SHOWALTER

US to Withhold Hundreds of Millions in Aid From El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras

The administration of President Donald Trump announced on June 17 that it will withhold hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign aid from GuatemalaHonduras, and El Salvador, the main source of mass illegal migration into the United States.
“We will not provide new funds for programs in those countries until we are satisfied the Northern Triangle governments are taking concrete actions to reduce the number of illegal migrants coming to the U.S. border,” said a spokesperson for the State Department.
“This is consistent with the president’s direction and with the recognition that it is critical that there be sufficient political will in these countries to address the problem at its source.”
The three countries, known collectively as the Northern Triangle, will continue receiving aid from contracts and grants that are currently active from fiscal year 2017, totaling roughly $400 million. The administration left intact aid funds meant to help stem the flow of illegal migrants and combat international organized crime. Approximately $200 million in aid remains on hold in an escrow account, the State Department spokesperson said.
On March 29, Trump told reporters that he ordered foreign aid to be cut from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The State Department said it conducted a review following the president’s order and determined that the three countries are not doing enough to curb migration to the United States.
Since 2017, the apprehensions of people crossing the border illegally have substantially increased—up from less than 416,000 in fiscal 2017 to over 521,000 last year. In fiscal 2019, the inflow is on pace to reach nearly a million illegal aliens, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said on March 6. The largest group of the migrants continues to be from the Northern Triangle.
The United States has aided Central American countries for years with the hope of developing the kind of stable political and economic systems which would result in lower migration. Trump, however, appears to demand concrete steps to stop the migration now.
“We were paying them tremendous amounts of money and we’re not paying them anymore because they haven’t done a thing for us,“ the president said on March 29.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump first warned that he would cut foreign aid in a message to Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez in October last year.
The president threatened to cut funds from Honduras unless Hernandez steps in to stop and turn around a migrant caravan traveling through Mexico from Honduras.
The caravan kept moving with thousands of migrants storming the border near San Ysidro, California, on Nov. 25. Some migrants were caught on video throwing rocks at border security officers and breaking through border barriers only to be repelled with tear gas.
Trump threatened to cut aid from all three countries in a late December message on Twitter.
“Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador are doing nothing for the United States but taking our money,” Trump wrote. “Word is that a new Caravan is forming in Honduras and they are doing nothing about it. We will be cutting off all aid to these 3 countries—taking advantage of U.S. for years!”

Watch–Trump: Democrat Agenda of Open Borders Is ‘Greatest Betrayal of American Middle Class’

JOHN BINDER

The Democrat agenda of open borders and mass immigration is the “greatest betrayal of the American middle class,” President Trump said Tuesday night during an Orlando, Florida rally.

Trump told his supporters that Democrat calls for amnesty for illegal aliens, an open border, and a never-ending flow of cheaper, foreign workers to compete against Americans is the “greatest betrayal” to the working and middle class.
Trump said:
On no issue are Democrats more extreme and more depraved than when it comes to border security. The Democrat agenda of open borders is morally reprehensible. It is the greatest betrayal of the American middle class and, frankly, American life. [Emphasis added]
Illegal mass migration brings in millions of low-wage workers to compete for jobs, wages, and opportunities against the most vulnerable Americans — cutting off their path to the American dream. Thanks to Democrat policies, school children across the country are being threatened by the vicious gang MS-13 that ICE, by the way, is taking out of our country and dropping them back home by the thousands, by the thousands. [Emphasis added]
Every year, American taxpayers are forced to pay $116 billion in public benefits, free healthcare, public education costs, and increased law enforcement costs for the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S.
Democrats, Trump said, would care more about ending mass illegal immigration if they and their children were forced to live under the open borders policies they support, as Americans do.
“Mass illegal migration reduces living standards and strains public resources,” Trump said. “If Democrat officials had to send their children to those overcrowded, overburdened schools, they would not tolerate it for one minute. What’s happening with their policies are horrible. Our immigration laws a disgrace.”
“Democrats in California even voted to give free healthcare to illegal aliens instead of helping homeless Americans in Democrat-run cities,” Trump said.
Trump said Democrats use the country’s illegal and legal immigration system to import a new voting bloc of reliable voters in the hopes that an amnesty for illegal aliens will eventually give millions the chance to vote in federal elections:
[Democrats] would strip Americans of their constitutional rights while flooding the country with illegal immigrants in the hopes it will expand their political base and they’ll get votes someplace down the future. That’s what it’s about. [Emphasis added]
Trump said the U.S. should be a “sanctuary for law-abiding citizens not for criminal aliens” and declared no politicians supporting sanctuary city policies that protect criminal illegal aliens from deportation should be allowed to run for president.
“No one who supports sanctuary cities should be allowed to run for president of the United States,” Trump said. “Republicans believe welfare, schools, hospitals, and public resources should be protected for all Americans.”
The nation’s Washington, DC-imposed mass legal and illegal immigration policy — whereby at least 1.5 million unskilled foreign nationals are admitted to the U.S. every year — is a boon to corporate executives, Wall Street, big business, and multinational conglomerates, as America’s working and middle class have their wealth redistributed to the country’s top earners through wage stagnation.
Research by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has discovered that immigration to the country shifts about $500 billion in wages away from working and middle-class Americans toward new arrivals and economic elites.
In the last decade alone, the U.S. admitted ten million legal immigrants, forcing American workers to compete against a growing population of low-wage foreign workers. Meanwhile, if legal immigration continues, there will be 69 million foreign-born residents living in the U.S. by 2060.

OBOMB'S CRONY BANKSTERS DESTROYED MORE

VALUES AND NOW THEY'RE COMING BACK FOR MORE

WITH THE BANKSTES' RENT BOY BIDEN!

OBAMA AND BIDEN: SERVANT OF THE 1%

Richest one percent controls nearly half of global wealth

The richest one percent of the world’s population now controls 48.2 percent of global wealth, up from 46 percent last year.

The report found that the growth of global inequality has accelerated sharply since the 2008 financial crisis, as the values of financial assets have soared while wages have stagnated and declined.

THE CRONY CLASS:

Income inequality grows FOUR TIMES FASTER under Obama-Biden and their bankster regime than Bush.

“By the time of Bill Clinton’s election in 1992, the Democratic Party had completely repudiated its association with the reforms of the New Deal and Great Society periods. Clinton gutted welfare programs to provide an ample supply of cheap labor for the rich (WHICH NOW MEANS OPEN BORDERS AND NO E-VERIFY!), including a growing layer of black capitalists, and passed the 1994 Federal Crime Bill, with its notorious “three strikes” provision that has helped create the largest prison population in the world.”

THE REAL ECONOMY:
US “retail apocalypse” expected to exceed annual high with more than 1,100 store closures announced in one day.
The declining living standards of the working class are feeding directly into the retail apocalypse and mass layoffs of retail workers will only exacerbate the issue. Workers’ wages have seen little to no growth in the last four decades, and any economic growth experienced since 2008 has gone to the wealthiest of the wealthy.
Why do all global billionaires want wider open borders, amnesty and no E-VERIFY?

AMERICA: THE ECONOMY IS RIGGED BY CONGRESS SO THE RICH BECOME SUPER RICH.
The American middle class gets the tax bills for Wall Street’s crimes and bottomeless bailouts!

Wealth concentration increases in US.

The latest research on wealth inequality by University of California economics professor Gabriel Zucman underscores one of the key social and economic trends since the global financial crisis of 2008. Those at the very top of society, who benefited directly from the orgy of speculation that led to the crash, have seen their wealth accumulate at an even faster rate, while the mass of the population has suffered a major decline.
The past 40 years have seen the consolidation of a plutocratic elite, which has subordinated every aspect of American society to a single goal: amassing ever more colossal amounts of personal wealth. The top one percent have captured all of the increase in national income over the past two decades, and all of the increase in national wealth since the 2008 crash.

Former Vice President Joe Biden attended a fundraiser with Wall Street donors during President Donald Trump’s campaign kickoff rally in Florida on Tuesday.

It was the fourth New York City fundraiser for Joe Biden in about 24 hours.
The fundraiser was hosted by Eric Mindich, the CEO of Eton Park Capital Management with about 100 donors including Stephen Scherr, the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Goldman Sachs, H. Rodgin Cohen the senior chairman at Sullivan & Cromwell as well as former Clinton and Obama officials
Biden defended the wealthy in his speech to the donors but begged them to be aware of wealth inequality.
“You know what I’ve found is rich people are just as patriotic as poor people,” he said. “Not a joke. I mean, we may not want to demonize anybody who has made money. The truth of the matter is, you all, you all know, you all know in your gut what has to be done.”
Biden warned that if Trump won re-election, he would “literally fundamentally change the nature of who we are and how we function.”
Biden boasted that Obama leaned on him to help bring members of Congress together during their administration.
“Folks, I believe one of the things I’m pretty good at is bringing people together,” he said. “Every time we had trouble in the administration, who got sent to the Hill to settle it? Me. No, not a joke. Because I demonstrate respect for them.”

While the wealth of the rich is growing at a breakneck pace, there is a stratification of growth within the super wealthy, skewed towards the very top.

At the end of 2014, millionaire households owned about 41 percent of global private wealth, according to BCG. This means that collectively these 17 million households owned roughly $67.24 trillion in liquid assets, or about $4 million per household.
