A mob of more than three dozen suspects vandalized, damaged, and stole more than $17,000 worth of merchandise from two Memphis, Tennessee, gas stations Saturday night, police say.

Local officials said the group of looters victimized an Exxon and a Fill-N-Go gas station during the rampage, the Daily Mail reported. Police said that it was just after 10:00 p.m. when 30 to 40 suspects entered the Exxon at 3483 Airways Boulevard and stole $2,000 in products.

It was close to midnight when police say a group of 40 looters entered the Fill-N-Go gas station at 3084 South Third Street as well, causing approximately $9,000 in damage and stealing $15,000 worth of merchandise.

A shocking cell phone video obtained by Action News 5 showed a portion of the chaos:

The footage, taken from inside one of the stores, showed several individuals taking items indiscriminately, with some concealing their identities with ski masks. Gas station workers were forced to simply watch as the careless thieves stole from them.

No arrests have yet been made in connection to the robberies.

Memphis also saw mobs robbing a FedEx delivery tractor-trailer on Saturday night, with more disturbing footage showing suspects yanking boxes off the truck:

Police received reports of the crimes shortly after 8:30 p.m. and witnessed multiple vehicles leaving the scene when they arrived, according to the Daily Mail.

The outlet reported that the FedEx driver was blocked in by suspect vehicles at an intersection, unable to escape the group of thieves.

Security at Breezy Point Apartments was able to successfully detain three suspects believed to be involved in the FedEx heist, discovering four kicker speakers, a vehicle headlight, a 14-piece pot and pan set, a cardboard box of air lines, and three direct cable boxes in one of their vehicles.

One of the detainees reportedly claimed that the items were found on the street.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY - NO LEGAL NEED APPLY - Chicago Job Fair Offers 400 Jobs for Migrants as Native Black Population Suffers Rising Unemployment

(“Chicago businesses offer 400 jobs to on-the-run felons” seems like a more accurate headline, because after all, the first act of these foreigners on our soil was a felonious one, and it’s a crime for which they’re not paying.)

Meanwhile, black Americans have the highest unemployment rate in the country; according to the latest national data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, that number was 5.8% for October 2023. According to a September report from a local Chicago outlet, Chicago unemployment rates hovered around the national average, but among black residents? That number was a whopping 14.3%.

Migrants were treated to a job fair in Chicago where employers were looking to offer about 400 of them jobs. Meanwhile, unemployment for city residents continues to trend upward.

The job fair was held on November 2 at the Chicago area Misericordia Home on the city’s north side where nearly 500 refugees from Venezuela, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Ukraine showed up to be courted for potential employment.

With interpreters provided for them, the migrants met with representatives in fields including health care, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, and others.

The companies also offered help securing government services, legal papers, and even training and educational opportunities.

One of the organizers of the job fair was a migrant from Afghanistan.

Siam Pasarly, the co-founder of Kaar Poh Staffing Agency, told Chicago’s WGN-TV that he hopes to help immigrants avoid the struggles he went through when he first came to Chicago.

“It is very difficult, it is very tough. Until you experience it, you just don’t know,” he exclaimed.

Meanwhile, even as other sectors in the city have recovered, black unemployment in the Windy City is still bad.

According to Crains Chicago Business, the black unemployment rate is 10.9 percent in Illinois, more than three times higher than white unemployment at 3.4 percent.

In Chicago, it is worse as the “jobless rate rose from 43.7% to 57.4% between 2019 and 2021 for Black people ages 20 to 24 in Chicago. The unemployment rate increase for Black women aged 20-24 was staggering, rising from 32% in 2019 to 60% in 2021,” the business paper noted in June.

By August, national unemployment was at 3.7 percent, but for black Americans in Chicago it was 14.3 percent, WTTW-TV reported.

This is one of the many problems that is riling the city’s black population against the rapidly growing number of migrants in the Windy City.

The influx of illegal aliens has many activists for Chicago’s black community worried and angry. In September, left-wing Chicago Catholic priest Father Michael Pfleger said that fast-tracking work permits for illegal immigrants would put jobs for his black flock at risk.

“What are we putting in place to make sure that there are no institutions in this city, this state, and country that will fire Black people because they have to pay them $15 or $16 an hour and then hire a migrant and pay them $5 an hour? What are we putting in place?” he asked.

In another case, Chicago activist Zoey Lee, who appeared at a Chicago City Council meeting, voiced a growing sentiment among black Chicagoans, accusing city leaders of trying to start a “race war” between black Americans and Hispanics.

“To come here and continue to see more Hispanics and Latinos get jobs than blacks here is a disrespect,” she added. “It’s a punch in the face.”

As unemployment in the black community climbs, Chicago Democrats hold a job fair for illegals

At the beginning of this month, a Chicago-based staffing agency partnered with a number of local Democrats to hold a job fair for around 400 open job positions, to a group of around 500 illegal aliens; from a Breitbart item on the news yesterday:

With interpreters provided for them, the migrants met with representatives in fields including health care, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, and others.

The companies also offered help securing government services, legal papers, and even training and educational opportunities.

Now I mention the job statistics for the black community because that’s a large chunk of the Democratic voting bloc in Chicago, and three top-tier “partners” of the event were local Democrats: “Alderperson” (not Alderman) Andre Vasquez, “100% Pro-Choice” Kevin Olickal, and the far-left Hoan Huynh.

Well, congratulations to the black Chicagoans, because they’re getting exactly what they voted for, even though they probably didn’t realize it—they went to the ballot box for abortion, skin color, and “progress” and got more unemployment, more crime, and more betrayal. Illegals are the Chicago political machine’s newest crop of voters, of course they’re rolling out the red carpet to accommodate; getting these tens of thousands of people on the government dole means a new reliable voting bloc for years to come.

Just yesterday, Peter Von Buol, a longtime friend of AT sent me this video:

A Brandon Johnson supporter demanding he stop the buses from dropping off “immigrants” because they’re stealing all the handouts for which the blacks have been waiting… but still supporting him? Didn’t she ever hear the “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” saying?

I also can’t figure out why the average leftist voter can’t figure out that corporations and businesses are money-making ventures, not charities. They’re not hiring illegals over Americans because they’re dedicated social justice warriors, they’re hiring illegals because it benefits the business.

Less than 15 percent of voters believe they are better off with President Joe Biden as commander in chief, a Financial Times-University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business poll found Monday, increasing fears among Democrats that “Bidenomics” failed to deliver results.

  • 14 percent of voters say they are better off financially now than when Joe Biden took office, the poll found.
  • 70 percent of voters say Biden’s economic policies had either hurt the economy or had no impact.
  • Among the 70 percent, 33 percent said the president’s policies hurt the economy a lot.

The poll revealed inflation was voters’ greatest financial stress:

  • 82 percent of respondents said soaring price increases.
  • 75 percent said inflation was the most significant threat to the U.S. economy in the next six months.

Inflation caused a majority of voters to change their essential and non-essential spending, the poll also found:

  • 65 percent said they reduced non-essential spending, such as eating out and holiday purchases.
  • 52 percent said they reduced spending on food or other everyday necessities.
  • 52 percent said they know “a little” or “nothing” about “Bidenomics.”

“Every group — Democrats, Republicans and independents — list rising prices as by far the biggest economic threat . . . and the biggest source of financial stress,” Erik Gordon, a professor at Michigan’s Ross School, told the Times. “That is bad news for Biden, and the more so considering how little he can do to reverse the perception of prices before election day.”

The poll sampled 1,004 voters from November 2-7 with a 3.1 margin of error.

The poll comes after Democrats would reportedly advise Biden to “heave” so-called “Bidenomics” in the “dumpster,” Politico’s Jonathan Martin wrote Monday after interviewing dozens of Democrats and Never Trump Republicans.

“Attempting to make voters believe something they don’t is folly. Attaching your name to that strategy borders on masochistic,” Martin said of Biden’s economic policy term. “At a time when people are paying more for housing, gas and groceries, focusing on job growth and the unemployment rate is ineffective.”

The answer regarding Arizona’s swing lies in its neighbor to the west, California. Since 2012, California has overwhelmingly sent more transplants to Arizona than any other state. When surveyed, escaping Californians cite high taxes, high crime rates, unaffordable housing, out-of-control homelessness, and high unemployment rates as their top reasons for fleeing.

Who is responsible for creating such an alarming living environment within the state? California liberals. A November, 2020 report produced by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University stated that California has 395,608 regulatory restrictions. The sheer volume and scope of California regulations creates such a compliance nightmare that they kill entire industries, send housing prices to unattainable heights, and restrict even commonplace liberties for which conservative leaning states are known.

Piled onto California’s endless river of regulations are its nonsensical laws and policies. Twenty major metropolitan cities or counties in California have established laws, ordinances, regulations, or other practices that shield illegal immigrants from prosecution after committing a crime. These counties brazenly safeguard illegal immigrant criminals against deportation either through noncompliance or by refusing to hand them over to federal agencies such as ICE. With over $1.5 trillion in state and local government debt, California effectively has little money to spare for conveniences such as criminal incarceration. What do sanctuary cities and counties see as the alternative to handing illegal immigrant criminals over for deportation? Release them back into the general population, of course.

A massive fire at a homeless encampment beneath an underpass in downtown Los Angeles has shut down the 10 freeway indefinitely.

The fire occurred on Saturday in two storage areas beneath the freeway that also hosted a sprawling homeless encampment.

“The incident, which closed westbound and eastbound lanes of the busy freeway between Alameda Street and Santa Fe Avenue, will significantly affect traffic in the area, officials said at a news conference Sunday, without offering a timetable for reopening,” noted the Los Angeles Times.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said Angelenos should expect the freeway to be close for some time.

“Unfortunately, there is no reason to think that this is going to be over in a couple of days,” she said. “We will need to come together and all cooperate until the freeway is rebuilt.”

Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom also declared a state of emergency to expedite the repairs, noting the “anxiety of millions and millions that live in this region.”

Roughly 300,000 vehicles travel the 10 freeway daily. As to when it can reopen, the Los Angeles Times described the process thusly:

Several things must occur before construction can begin — starting with an investigation into the cause of the fire. It is expected to be finished by 6 a.m. Monday. Mitigation of hazardous materials also needs to be completed before a detailed structural analysis of the damaged portions of the freeway can commence. Engineers will be inspecting the freeway’s columns and bridge deck.

This could be the most notable freeway closure in the Southland since the 1994 Northridge earthquake buckled portions of the 10 and other routes. The shutdown is expected to increase congestion on adjacent freeways where traffic is being diverted, among them the 5, 110 and 710.

California Transportation Secretary Toks Omishakin said the repairs will be a “significant” challenge. “This is not going to be an easy task for our structural engineers at Caltrans,” Omishakin noted.

Los Angeles saw a massive wildfire in 2017 that also sparked from a homeless encampment, burning through wealthy neighborhoods, and causing millions upon millions of dollars in damage.

“The fire that burned through one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country last week started as a cooking fire at a homeless encampment, according to an investigation by the Los Angeles Fire Department,” the Times noted at the time.

“Homeless people had been living in the neighborhood — Bel-Air, in northwest Los Angeles — making their encampment near an underpass of the 405 freeway along Sepulveda Boulevard for several years,” it added.

Bum encampment fire shuts down major Los Angeles highway artery

Traffic in Los Angeles stinks and now it's going to get even stinkier.

According to CNN:

Southern California drivers may face travel headaches this week after a large storage yard fire over the weekend shut down part of Interstate 10, one of the major traffic routes for downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.

A section of I-10, also known as the Santa Monica Freeway, was damaged and remained closed in both directions Sunday near Alameda Street in Los Angeles, a city well known for its traffic congestion issues.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of a fire at a 200-by-200-foot storage yard “with pallets, trailers and vehicles well involved in fire with buildings that were exposed,” Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said at a news conference Sunday.

“Wind pushed the heat and the flames under the freeway, and across the street ignited a secondary storage yard,” Crowley said.

Ahh, a pallet fire, they said. A storage-area fire, they said. A rent dispute with a bad tenant...

According to the local presses, it was bums camping out under the Santa Monica freeway with no zoning enforcement whatsoever. Some were said to be stealing electricity. Others were reportedly using propane tanks for cooking.

But as the press puts it "cause unknown."

These vast highway arteries roaring through the center of America's second-largest city things just ... catch fire.

That's going to be a heck of a miserable commute for Angelenos who have to use that highway, which is pretty much all of them. It's the main highway of the city, stretching from the downtown area all the way to Santa Monica's beaches, crossing the industrial areas, the USC area, the Crenshaw and Leimert Park area communities, the La Brea tar pits area, the Pico-Robertson quarter leading into Beverly Hills, the Culver City area, the turnoff to the Marina, the Westwood/UCLA area, and the long way through Santa Monica. It's right at the critical interchange of highways coming in and going out, too. I know, because I took this highway a lot when I lived in Los Angeles.

Traffic rerouting recommendations include taking the 110 highway from Pasadena to Long Beach, and the 101 Hollywood Freeway -- as if those highways aren't hellish enough without additional traffic added. I know I took the 10 just to avoid those dangerous semi-truck going-too-fast highways. The Hollywood freeway in particular is a misery of bad signage telling you to get into the wrong lanes for your turnoff. I can't imagine spillover traffic getting onto that one. More likely, a lot of people will take Venice Boulevard and Washington Boulevard if it's still doable, or the La Brea Slauson USC-to-Marina del Rey cut-through.

And they have no idea how long this will go on as the damage is being assessed but it's pretty obvious there is damage from the fire making the stretch of highway impassable, so lucky Angelenos.

Sure, there will be an investigation. California's Gov. Gavin Newsom says it will be quick. But based on what we have seen elsewhere, if the results are not what they want, it will be an extended investigation, one with no disclosures owing to the investigation, like the Nashville shooter case.

That said, it's pretty obvious that allowing a bum encampment full of illegal drug users is just a matter of time before some kind of disaster occurs.

And that raises questions about the wisdom of this. Does a disaster have to occur before they can clear a bum encampment and place drug addicts either in jail or involuntary rehab until they clean up? They have been tolerating this stuff for years, all in the name of coddling the bums' 'civil rights.'

Now the public has to pay for it, and not just in money, but in a reduced quality of life as commutes extend and getting around Los Angeles is going to get a lot harder. Newsom says this loss of the freeway will be much worse than the freeway shutdown that hit Philadelphia earlier this year, the one Pete Buttigieg rushed over to. No sign of him, of course as Newsom takes the cameras.

What's it going to take for all-Democrat-run Los Angeles to put the public's interest ahead of the special interests?

Maybe this blue city will wake up.

Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant

Welfare

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/04/study-more-than-7-in-10-california-immigrant-households-are-on-welfare/

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California.

All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

In New York and Florida, a majority of households headed by immigrants and noncitizens are on welfare. Overall, about 63 percent of immigrant households use welfare while only 35 percent of native-born households use welfare.

President Trump’s administration is looking to soon implement a policy that protects American taxpayers’ dollars from funding the mass importation of welfare-dependent foreign nationals by enforcing a “public charge” rule whereby legal immigrants would be less likely to secure a permanent residency in the U.S. if they have used any forms of welfare in the past, including using Obamacare, food stamps, and public housing.

The immigration controls would be a boon for American taxpayers in the form of an annual $57.4 billion tax cut — the amount taxpayers spend every year on paying for the welfare, crime, and schooling costs of the country’s mass importation of 1.5 million new, mostly low-skilled legal immigrants.

As Breitbart News reported, the majority of the more than 1.5 million foreign nationals entering the country every year use about 57 percent more food stamps than the average native-born American household. Overall, immigrant households consume 33 percent more cash welfare than American citizen households and 44 percent more in Medicaid dollars. This straining of public services by a booming 44 million foreign-born population translates to the average immigrant household costing American taxpayers $6,234 in federal welfare.

Liberal California Emigrants are Toxic

By R. Quinn Kennedy

When Arizona, a state that has historically leaned conservative, was won by Joe Biden and now-senator Mark Kelly this week, very few were taken by surprise. Extensive polling indicated Arizona was ripe for swinging liberal and in this instance, at least, the polling was correct.

The question is why? Why has a state that held two elected Republican senators as recently as 2018 and which held a dependable stable of electoral votes for GOP presidential candidates become a purple state on its way to becoming solidly blue? Have Arizona residents suddenly awaked to the idea that liberal policies and doctrines are more sensible than conservative ones? Hardly.

Consider this: Between 2014 and 2017, the FBI reported that 49 states saw an average increase in crime annually of around 3%. After implementing “humane” alternatives to criminal prosecution, California crime increased more than 12% per year over the same time period. With irrational sanctuary policies that send a clear message of little to no consequence for offenses, is it any wonder California’s crime rate is now spiraling out of control?

Arizona is not the only beneficiary of the California exodus. The Colorado State Demography Office has published an active flow map of people moving into the state from 2010 on. Disturbingly, the state sending the most movers to Colorado since then has consistently been California. As recently as 2004, Colorado had the political trifecta of a Republican governor and a Republican-controlled House and Senate. A short ten years later, all three had turned irrevocably Democrat. The subsequent consequence? A drastic increase in state and local regulations, a dramatic increase in violent crimes, a severe shortage of home inventory and affordable housing, and a staggering increase in homelessness. Do these newfound troubles sound familiar to any other state mentioned here? The only safeguard against out-of-control tax hikes in Colorado is the TABOR Amendment passed by voters 1992, prior to the influx of California residents, that requires taxpayer approval for any new tax. Not surprisingly, emboldened liberals in Colorado are vigorously resolute in repealing this tax hike protection. As of the most recent election they are unsuccessful, yet remain undeterred.

What has coincided with Colorado’s decline? The mass inflow of Californians to the state. Californians have brought with them all the very same liberal doctrines and ideologies that forced their flight from California in the first place. Does this dissuade liberal Californians from shaping Colorado into the very image of California? Not in the least.

If there is any hope for Arizona, it is that they might learn from the resulting ruin of Colorado, however unlikely.

In the 2020 election, Texas was startlingly considered in play for liberals. Since 2015, which state has contributed the most emigrants into Texas? Not surprisingly, the state of California. The hope for liberals is that they can turn Texas into the next purple soon-to-be blue state. The coveted prize is Texas’ electoral votes. Even more insidious, if liberals are able to capture Texas as they have done in Colorado and Arizona, they will force the state to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. They will then achieve their ultimate goal of a Democrat president reigning over the United States for endless generations until the point our country experiences the same collapse as other great civilizations throughout world history.

The obvious question is this: How can Texas avoid the same fate as states such as Colorado and Arizona? Simple. By being proactive.

It is much easier for liberals to enact new legislation than to argue for the removal of existing laws. With this in mind, Texas should take advantage of their current Republican-controlled Senate, House, and governor’s office by making haste and passing laws that would limit the future incursion of liberal meddling. Texas can presently enact laws that prohibit sanctuary cities, require voter approval to remove the state’s mandated balanced budget, require that any new regulation must necessitate the removal of an existing one, and compel voter approval of each new local or state tax including non-user fees. While such laws may only serve to stem the liberal takeover of the state, they would be roadblocks making it much more difficult for ideological infiltration in areas that affect inhabitant’s liberties and quality of life.

It would be absurd to suppose Californians have malintent. Rather, they are simply following the course with which they are most familiar while being blissfully ignorant of the negative unintended consequences their political ideology brings. To suggest that any act of suppression, aggression, or intimidation towards Californians moving into red states is acceptable would simply be un-American and subject to the same type of hypocrisy liberals practice. If conservatives stoop to their level, we have lost the battle and, perhaps, the war.

However, by taking aggressive legislative action in states that have not yet succumbed to liberal infiltration, Conservatives will effectively be planting our flag in a defiant refusal to hand over our institutions and our liberty.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY? I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.              TULSI GABBARD

Pelosi, through her holdings in local restaurants and vineyards, is reputed to be one of the largest employers of illegal labor in Northern California.

"Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, the twin nutters of Congress, were certain they could beat Trump at his own game, but have made fools of themselves, as usual.  The stand-off is not over but with each passing day, the Democrats reveal more of their anti-American, pro-illegal immigration agenda.  Conservatives have been sounding the alarm for years: Democrats do not care about American  citizens!"                                                                               PATRICIA McCARTHY

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY’S NAFTA INVASION TO KEEP WAGES DEPRESSED. Is it working???

There is also an impact on wages.

If impoverished migrants agree to work for less than minimum wages without benefits, the working-class citizens either suffers job redundancy or depression in wages. If they work under the table and send their untaxed remittances home, communities go underdeveloped and get a run-down look.

What's more, Mexico generally benefits from shipping its surplus uneducated population to the states to take the pressure valve off the potential for unrest. Corrupt Mexican officials often reap "fees" from letting illegal migrants from other countries as well as their own pass through their territory. MONICA SHOWALTER

Releasing to the streets gang members eligible for deportation is nothing new in Santa Clara County. ICE published a report in 2018 detailing that 142 gang members whom the agency was seeking to deport during a nine-month period in 2017 were released by local law enforcement rather than being transferred to federal custody; Santa Clara County led the nation, releasing 22 gang members. As reported by Breitbart Texas, the arrest of migrants with existing criminal records has risen more than 350 percent since 2020. According to CBP, the number of migrants who have criminal convictions for Homicide and Manslaughter rose from 3 encounters in 2020 to more than 60 in 2022. More than 120 migrants with homicide or manslaughter convictions have been encountered since January 2021 — compared to 11 during the Trump era. The increase reflects those convicted of prior offenses committed in the United States.

Joe Biden and other Democrats have spent the last four years repeating the mantra “no one is above the law.” Yet Biden has advocated policies that would, as the San Francisco Chronicle recently noted, effectively make the United States a sanctuary country.

Adios, Sanctuary La Raza Welfare State of California

A fifth-generation Californian laments his state’s ongoing economic collapse.
By Steve Baldwin
American Spectator
What’s clear is that the producers are leaving the state and the takers are coming in. Many of the takers are illegal aliens, now estimated to number over 2.6 million (BLOG: THE NUMBER IS CLOSER TO 15 MILLION ILLEAGLS). The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates that California spends $22 billion (DATED: NOW ABOUT $35 BILLION YEARLY AND THAT IS ON THE STATE LEVEL ONLY. COUNTIES PAY OUT MORE) on government services for illegal aliens, including welfare, education, Medicaid, and criminal justice system costs.

Liberals claim they more than make that up with taxes paid, but that’s simply not true. It’s not even close. FAIR estimates illegal aliens in California contribute only $1.21 billion in tax revenue, which means they cost California $20.6 billion, or at least $1,800 per household.
Nonetheless, open border advocates, such as Facebook Chairman Mark Zuckerberg, claim illegal aliens are a net benefit to California with little evidence to support such an assertion. As the Center for Immigration Studies has documented, the vast majority of illegals are poor, uneducated, and with few skills. How does accepting millions of illegal aliens and then granting them access to dozens of welfare programs benefit California’s economy? If illegal aliens were contributing to the economy in any meaningful way, California, with its 2.6 million illegal aliens, would be booming.
Furthermore, the complexion of illegal aliens has changed with far more on welfare and committing crimes than those who entered the country in the 1980s. Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens. Granted, those statistics are old, but if you talk to any California law enforcement officer, they will tell you it’s much worse today. The problem is that the Brown administration will not release any statewide data on illegal alien crimes. That would be insensitive. And now that California has declared itself a “sanctuary state,” there is little doubt this sends a message south of the border that will further escalate illegal immigration into the state.

"If the racist "Sensenbrenner Legislation" passes the US Senate, there is no doubt that a massive civil disobedience movement will emerge. Eventually labor union power can merge with the immigrant civil rights and "Immigrant Sanctuary" movements to enable us to either form a new political party or to do heavy duty reforming of the existing Democratic Party. The next and final steps would follow and that is to elect our own governors of all the states within Aztlan."
Indeed, California goes out of its way to attract illegal aliens. The state has even created government programs that cater exclusively to illegal aliens. For example, the State Department of Motor Vehicles has offices that only process driver licenses for illegal aliens. With over a million illegal aliens now driving in California, the state felt compelled to help them avoid the long lines the rest of us must endure at the DMV. And just recently, the state-funded University of California system announced it will spend $27 million on financial aid for illegal aliens. They’ve even taken out radio spots on stations all along the border, just to make sure other potential illegal border crossers hear about this program. I can’t afford college education for all my four sons, but my taxes will pay for illegals to get a college education.

Biden Administration’s Illegal Immigration System
Shadow immigration system exceeds legal system by 140%

Washington, D.C. (November 9, 2023) – In this week’s episode of Parsing Immigration Policy, the Center for Immigration Studies looks at the number of illegal aliens released into the United States by the Biden administration in FY 2023 and their pathways for entry.  Andrew Arthur, the Center’s resident fellow in law and policy, joins us for this episode to reveal how the administration permitted 140 percent more illegal aliens than legal immigrants with green cards to enter the country in FY 2023, despite the U.S. Constitution vesting Congress with the authority to regulate immigrant admissions.

Arthur outlines four pathways through which the administration facilitates the entry of illegal aliens.
  1. CHNV Parole Program. In January, to curb illegal entries at the Southwest border post-Title 42, the Biden administration announced a new scheme under which 30,000 nationals per month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela are allowed to fly to the U.S. in lieu of entering illegally. Nearly 250,000 foreign nationals have been paroled in under this program.
  2. CBP One App Interview Scheme. The administration’s CBP One scheme, the topic of a recent podcast episode, allows inadmissible aliens from all over the world – including countries of terrorism concern – to pre-schedule their illegal entries to the United States. The administration is using this scheme to parole up to 1,450 inadmissible aliens into the country every day, with 235,172 paroled in for FY 2023.
  3. Ports of Entry. Aliens are also allowed to present themselves to CBP officers at the ports of entry and then be released on parole. The administration is using its very limited parole powers far outside the strict limits set by Congress.
  4. Got-Aways.  With Border Patrol agents overwhelmed processing more than 5,600 illegal entrants a day, 600,000-plus other aliens entered illegally and evaded apprehension in FY 2023.
“More than two million inadmissible aliens have been allowed entry into the country in just one year –a population that would qualify as the 37th largest state in the country,” said Arthur. “This undermines the rule of law and puts tremendous pressure on local and state governments to provide housing, food, education, and medical care to those joining their communities.”

In his closing commentary, Mark Krikorian, host of the podcast and executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, draws attention to the International Network for Immigration Research. This newly created network establishes a cooperative arrangement between research organizations, including the Center, from four countries that share similar perspectives on immigration.

San Francisco Erects Barricades to Keep out the Homeless for Xi Jinping

Barricades and fencing have been erected in San Francisco as the city scrambles to clean up its homeless population ahead of President Joe Biden’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Photos and videos showing metal barricade structures outside of the Moscone Center, where leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) group are set to gather Wednesday, have garnered criticism on social media.

“San Francisco built a wall and made all the homeless people disappear for Xi,” End Wokeness, an account with more than 1.8 million followers, posted on X. “If only they cared about pleasing their own constituents as much as they care about pleasing a world dictator.”

Biden and Xi are to meet on the “sidelines” of the San Francisco summit on Wednesday, reports Fox News.

More images from the city’s streets show before-and-after photos in which homeless encampments were seemingly cleaned up right before the Chinese leader’s arrival.

“Xi has done more to clean up our filthy cities than any elected U.S. official,” former White House speechwriter Darren J. Beattie wrote on X.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) responded to the backlash at a press conference, saying “it’s true” that San Francisco has been cleaned up for all “those fancy leaders who are coming into town.”

“Because it’s true,” the progressive governor said. “But it’s also true, for months and months and months prior to APEC, we’ve been having different conversations.”

In October, Newsom became the first U.S. governor to visit China in more than four years, meeting with Xi and promising to be his “long-term, stable, and strong partner.”

The White House said in a Friday statement:

The Leaders will discuss issues in the U.S.-PRC [People’s Republic of China] bilateral relationship, the continued importance of maintaining open lines of communication, and a range of regional and global issues. Building on their last meeting in November 2022 in Bali, Indonesia, the Leaders will also discuss how the United States and the PRC can continue to responsibly manage competition and work together where our interests align, particularly on transnational challenges that affect the international community.

Democrat San Francisco Mayor London Breed claimed on X that APEC is “projected to bring over $50 million in economic impact to the City — this is support for our small businesses & restaurants, people staying in our hotels, and tax revenues that pay for things like our parks, libraries, services, and police officers throughout our city.”

Meanwhile, her city has been plagued with homelessness. A city government report revealed that San Francisco has 7,754 homeless people, with 887 individuals experiencing homelessness per 100,000 residents. This is far above the peer average of 578 per 100,000.

As Breitbart News covered in October, San Francisco made headlines for allowing a homeless sex offender to camp outside of a Catholic grade school, advertising “Free Fentanyl 4 New Users.”

SF Mayor Breed: Homeless Cleanup Not an Issue We’ve Been Sitting Around ‘Waiting to Solve’

San Francisco Mayor London Breed said Monday “Bloomberg Technology” that her city has constantly been cleaning streets and helping the homeless get shelter while discussing preparing for the APEC Summit of President Joe Biden and China’s Xi Jinping.

Host Ed Ludlow said, “Why has it taken the visit of U.S. President Biden, China’s President Xi, leaders around the world for action on all of the problems the city has been talking about for 4 years now?”

Breed said, “Just to be clear, we have been working on this for a few years. This is not an issue have been sitting around waiting to solve. It is something San Francisco continues to work on. Since I have been mayor, since 2018 we have helped over 10,000 people exit homelessness. We have never had 10,000 people on our streets. We have seen a reduction when other cities saw an increase. This is a problem we continuously worked on. This year, we got additional resources from the state and the federal government that has made a tremendous difference around the challenges that we are dealing with.”

Ludlow said, “A question from our audience that was submitted when they heard that your comment on the program is more people moved temporarily because of the event of this week from specific blocks and neighborhoods to others, or was this permanent action that was taken from what we see on the streets outside?”

Breed said, “It was an effort that took place as we had a court case where it limited our ability to move people off of the street. We still have a few hundred beds available. Our street outreach team is out there everyday. After we got clarity from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, people who were offered shelter are no longer in involuntarily homeless. We are  able to move them into housing and support. We have been aggressive once we had the clarity to get people off of the street. Our goal is to provide support to provide compassion and not let people linger on our streets when we have an opportunity for housing.”
