THE LA RAZA HEROIN CARTELS ON AMERICA'S UNDEFENDED BORDERS - TIJUANA MURDERS SET NEW RECORD - BUILD THE WALL?

Tijuana Cartel Violence Sets New Murder Record for 2017

As cartel violence rages in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, the final murder toll peaked at 1,734 for 2017–smashing the previous year’s record of 910. The final number represents a 90% increase, making 2017 the bloodiest year to date.

The murder rate continues to climb as rival drug cartels battle over control of key trafficking routes and street-level distribution, according to local media reports. The escalation can be attributed to the hostilities between the Sinaloa Cartel and their one-time ally, Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).
Breitbart Texas recently reported that according to State Attorney General Perla del Socorro Ibarra Leyva, no more than 12 percent of the first 1,500 homicide investigations of 2017 led to indictments.
Another contributing factor cited by Marco Antonio Sotomayor Amezca, Chief of Police for Tijuana, is the New Criminal Justice System (NSJP) which was implemented nationally in June 2016. Chief Sotomayor said the NSJP has been an obstacle for authorities since most people arrested, even for those possessing weapons or drugs, are released within 48 hours. Many of these individuals are criminally involved or contributing to cartel violence.
In late November, it was reported that due to the escalation of violence, the local morgue faced a crisis. During a press conference with Governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, he explained the Servicio Médico Forense (SEMEFO) lacked space due to the constant flow of murder victims. Local media outlets reported that SEMEFO could not absorb the daily influx while outdated equipment caused bodies to decompose. The Governor reported that new equipment was being purchased and plans were being made to expand operations. Lamadrid noted that one contributing factor was unclaimed bodies, requiring burials in common graves.
The new year continues the wave of violence, with at least 11 murdered in the first two days of 2018, including five executed in a tire shop on January 2, according to media reports.

EXCLUSIVE: Authorities Find Cartel Human Incineration Camp in Mexican Border State

CIUDAD MANTE, Tamaulipas — Authorities in this Mexican state bordering Texas have found a cartel killing field where it is believed that gunmen murdered and incinerated their victims. The killing field was recently discovered in the city of Mante in the southwestern part of the state. Breitbart Texas sources believe the cartel responsible is Los Zetas. The cartel is broken into two warring factions: Old School Zetas (Vieja Escuela) and Cartel of the North (CDN or Cartel Del Noreste). Our sources believe it is more likely that Old School Zetas is the faction of Los Zetas responsible, due to the group’s recent movements in the area.
While Tamaulipas state authorities have remained officially silent on the case, confidential law enforcement sources confirmed the discovery to Breitbart Texas. The killing field was discovered after an anonymous caller warned authorities about the existence of a place where human bodies were being incinerated.
Law enforcement officials moved to the area and confirmed the discovery, prompting a large deployment by military forces and investigators with the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office. At the killing field, authorities found two 55-gallon drums as well as another container full of what authorities believe to be human ashes. Authorities also discovered various containers of diesel.
Information obtained by Breitbart Texas points to the cartel killing field being near a primitive road that leads to the tourist center known as El Nacimiento, a local attraction in Ciudad Mante.
Intelligence sources confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the killing field is just a short distance from the area where in 2017 a team of Los Zetas cartel gunmen hijacked a bus that was traveling from the city of San Luis Potosi. As Breitbart Texas reported at the time, from the bus, the gunmen took six passengers who were identified as men between 17 and 25-years old; their fate remains unknown.
The area of the cartel killing field is also close to the ranch where Tamaulipas state authorities killed 7 cartel gunmen from Los Zetas Vieja Escuela during a gun battle last month. The city of Mante, as well as others nearby, have been outed as regions with an abundance of clandestine cemeteries where cartels kidnap and execute their victims.
The complaints about the existence of cartel killing fields in the region date back to 2010, however to date, authorities have only confirmed three killing fields. One of the fields is in the town of Xicotencatl, another in the town of Gomez Farias and the most recent one in Ciudad Mante.
Currently, in Ciudad Mante, there are reports of close to 50 missing persons since the start of a spike in violence in the region. The executions and kidnappings in the area are tied to a fight for territorial control between the Zetas Vieja Escuela and their rivals Cartel Del Noreste (CDN).
Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by “Francisco Morales” from Tamaulipas.

Mexico Witnesses First Murdered Journalist for 2018

Only days into the new year, a robbery gone wrong yielded the first murder of a Mexican journalist for 2018. The victim, an editor for one of the country’s largest newspapers, was buying toys for a holiday celebration.

Jose Gerardo Martinez was purchasing toys for his family in Mexico City for the Three Wise Men celebration when he was robbed at gunpoint and killed, El Universal reported. In central Mexico, more families receive presents during the January 6 visit by the Three Wise Men than on Christmas Day.
Martinez was described by El Universal as an editor for the Universal wire service. According to the outlet, his death appears to not have been linked to his work, but rather a crime of opportunity.
The most recent murder comes days after the International Press Institute labeled Mexico as the most dangerous country for journalists, Breitbart Texas reported. According to the IPI, Mexico saw 13 murdered journalists for the year, however, that figure varies between press freedom organizations and their definition of journalists. Some organizations reported only 12 while others show 14. Some press groups do not account for online-only reporters or volunteer citizen journalists.
On the day that IPI issued their report in December, a team of gunmen raided a school in Veracruz to kill former journalist Gumaro Perez Aguilando as he watched his son’s Christmas pageant.

9 Mexican Politicians Assassinated in Final Weeks of 2017

A deadly year for Mexican politicians and government officials came to an end with nine assassinated in the final two weeks of 2017–seven in a 36-hour period alone.

According to La Silla Rota, the nine join at least 38 mayors or other government officials and candidates murdered as cartel violence raged throughout the country in 2017.
As Breitbart Texas recently reported, Mexican cartels killed 111 mayors since 2006.
Those killed in the final weeks of 2017 are named below.
December 31
Adolfo Serna Nogueda, a businessman and candidate for mayor of Atoyac, Guerrero, was shot to death by gunmen while walking home. Serna was considered the frontrunner at the time.
December 30
Luis Fernando Flores Cerros, a federal inspector for the Secretary of Labor and husband of Ex-Congresswoman Inés Aurora Martínez Bernal, was shot by gunmen outside of his residence in Chihuahua.
Juan José Antonio Castro Crespo, an attorney and former candidate for state congress, was shot dead by gunmen while he visiting a ranch near Mexicali, Baja California.
December 29
Gabriel Hernández Arias, a councilman in Jalapa, Tabasco, was found with his throat slit and multiple stab wounds inside his home. His hands were also bound.
December 28
Saúl Galindo Plazola, a local congressman in the state of Jalisco, was killed by gunmen who intercepted his vehicle on a highway with one of his sons.

Cartel Gunmen Attack Police near Cancun Tourist Mall

Cancun continues to be a hotbed for violence after cartel gunmen attacked local ministerial police investigators at a gas station.

Local reports note the attack left two investigators wounded and one cartel gunman dead after the confrontation at a gas station near the busy Plaza Outlets.
According to the Quintana Roo Attorney General’s office, it is believed the cartel gunmen followed the investigator’s car to a gas station in a black truck. One officer entered the store while the other refueled. The cartel gunmen made a U-turn, pulled into the gas station, and opened fire. The investigator in the store stepped out and immediately returned fire, killing one of two gunmen. The second shooter returned to his vehicle and fled, believed wounded. The officer at the gas pumps was struck at least seven times but is expected to survive.
The attorney general also suggested that the gunmen could have mistaken the armed, plainclothes officers in an unmarked vehicle as members of a rival cartel.
The violence in Quintana Roo, centered in or near Cancun and Playa del Carmen, is attributed to a turf war between the Sinaloa and Juarez Cartels.
The state attorney general’s office announced the murder count at 326 for 2017, smashing the previous record set in 2016 for 137 cartel-related executions, according to Noticaribe.
The municipality of Benito Juarez, where Cancun is located, registered 326 organized crime executions. Solidaridad, where Playa del Carmen is located, marked 58. Nearby Puerto Morelos recorded 31.

Donald Trump Plans Visit to Wall Prototypes on January 30

President Donald Trump plans to personally view the newly constructed border wall prototypes at the end of the month, according to an Axios report.

Trump has hinted for weeks that he wants to personally review the prototypes, but the trip is now scheduled for January 30.
“I may be going there very shortly to look at them in their final form,” Trump said in December during a cabinet meeting at the White House.
The eight 30-foot wall prototypes were constructed on the border in San Diego and are currently undergoing testing by border officials.
The president has repeated his promise to build a wall on the Southern border, demanding funding for the wall in exchange for amnesty for DACA recipients.
“We want the wall,” Trump told reporters after meeting with top congressional leaders on Saturday at Camp David. “The wall is going to happen or we’re not going to have DACA.”
The visit will take place after Trump addresses a joint session of Congress for his State of the Union address.

ILLINOIS FALLS TO LA RAZA MAYHEM.

“Illinois is a state full of illegal aliens.  One in seven Illinoisans are immigrants, with 450,000 official illegals.  One point two million jobs are taken by illegals in Illinois.  This is one of the most heavily invaded states in the Union.” --- Timothy Birdnow
No Sanctuary for MS-13:'They are preying on the communities that they are living in'

By Andrew Arthur

CIS Blog, December 21, 2017

https://www.cis.org/Arthur/No-Sanctuary-MS13

Excerpt: The Post contrasts President Trump's strong rhetoric in connection with MS-13 with "the fact that most of the gang's victims are not Americans but undocumented immigrants." That is a fact, however, that is not lost on most who have studied alien gangs (and alien criminals generally), including the Center for Immigration Studies.

Most of the supporters of sanctuary jurisdictions omit this fact from their talking points, however. But, as Michael McElhenny, a Maryland-based FBI supervisory special agent who was quoted by the Post states, MS-13 members "are preying on the communities that they are living in."

Ann Coulter: ‘I’m 100 Percent for Deporting’ DACA Illegal Aliens First, ‘Then We’ll Get to MS-13’ Gang Members

8

New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter says the number one priority for President Trump’s administration should be deporting the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens who have been shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

In a talk radio interview with Larry O’Connor, Coulter reiterated her call for DACA illegal aliens to be deported first, this time saying they should be prioritized for deportation above illegal aliens who are members of the violent El Salvadorian MS-13 gang.
Coulter said:
The one thing Trump should remember, especially now that he’s under attack I mean more than I think ever before, is he has the power to overcome all of this. I mean, he could sell Ivanka merchandise from the White House, he could refuse to be in the White House, he could govern from Mar-a-Lago, if he would just build the wall and deport illegals, starting with the DREAMers.
I’m 100 percent for deporting DREAMers first. The order should be DREAMers, then felons, and then you know just random illegals as they come to our attention. We can be discretionary on that. But DREAMers, number one. [Emphasis added]
At least the felons, they’re not indignant. They’re not going on TV saying ‘How dare you delay in giving me amnesty, we demand you forgive our law-breaking.’ Oh, the DREAMers are the worst of all. So I put them in line for deportation before the felons. Then we’ll get to the MS-13 members. You’re regular illegal alien, the ones not going on TV every night and demanding amnesty, they’re actually really sweet and hard workers. I’ve always said that about … illegal aliens. They’re so friendly and they really do work hard. So nobody really minds them, it’s the DREAMers who have to go first. [Emphasis added]
Coulter made the remarks as the White House is attempting to cut a deal with the Republican establishment to cut legal immigration levels in half, end the Diversity Visa Lottery, and receive full funding for the proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall in exchange for granting an amnesty for DACA illegal aliens that could eventually lead to an amnesty for all 12 to 30 million illegal aliens residing in the U.S.
While cutting legal immigration levels would raise wages for American workers and reduce burdens on America’s working and middle class, a DACA amnesty is likely to cause a surge along the southern border, as well as being a drain on U.S. taxpayers.
For example, as Breitbart News reported, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that at least 1 in 7 DACA illegal aliens would end up on Medicaid if given legal status and about 1 in 5 would end up on food stamps.

Trump has put Schumer in a no-win situation on DACA

How do Democrats explain to themselves the way they keep getting outsmarted by a man they claim is a moron?  President Trump has Democrats exactly where he wants them on the issue of DACA. Even PBS gets it:
With a new deadline fast approaching, Democrats in Congress are struggling to adopt a unified strategy to protect hundreds of thousands of young immigrants from deportation.
Their inaction has enraged liberal activists across the country, who have shifted their anger in recent days from Republicans who control Congress to Democrats seeking to balance their commitment to a progressive priority with their desire to avoid an explosive government shutdown heading into the 2018 midterm elections.
The “young immigrants” in question re the so-called “Dreamers,” that group of illegal immigrants purportedly brought to this country by their parents, one quarter of whom are functionally illiterate and half of whom have not bothered to learn English.  The Democrats correctly see them as future voters, and hope that chain migration triples or quadruples the 800,000 into millions of new Democrats if they are allowed to gain permanent residence and citizenship.

The problem is that the general public is far from convinced that legalizing a group of border violators likely to become tax consumers, not tax payers, is the most pressing problem facing the nation, worthy of shutting down the government if Democrats don’t get their way. President Trump already called their bluff when they threatened the continuing resolution over DACA last month and the Dems caved and averted a Christmas season government shutdown. Their problem is that a substantial part of their base is angry over that concession to public opinion:
Liberal groups largely blame Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York for not uniting Democrats behind a hardline strategy, as he did during recent debates on taxes and health care.
“This is on Schumer. His most important job is to keep his caucus together,” said Angel Padilla, policy director for the Trump resistance group called Indivisible.
More than a dozen Hispanic House members — all Democrats — forced a meeting late last month with Schumer on this issue.
Rep. Darren Soto, D-Fla., said Schumer assured Hispanic lawmakers that Democrats “will lay it all on the line” to protect Dreamers.
Yet it remains unclear whether Schumer will push his party to risk a government shutdown.
President Trump engineered this dilemma for Schumer by rescinding Obama’s executive order creating the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program, but giving Congress until March 2018 to come up with an alternative approach. That trap is now closing in on Schumer. He has 10 Democrat senators up for re-election in November in states that voted for Trump. Will Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, John Tester of Montana, and Claire McCaskill of Missouri be willing to tell their voters that they think amnesty for a group that includes MS 13 members is so important that the government ought to be shut down? Or, if President Trump and the GOP offer some form of amnesty that does not include chain migration (thereby rewarding the parents that illegally brought their children here) but does include border wall funding, are they willing to vote against it?
The Senate Democrats have been able to enforce a remarkable degree of party solidarity, far more discipline than the GOP. That is a huge bargaining asset for Schumer, already empowered by his party’s pickup in Alabama. But DACA looks like it could be a wedge issue destroying that disciplinary power.
This is a no-win situation. Harvard graduate Schumer should be asking himself how he got himself into this situation. But of course, he won’t. Either he alienates his base, or he risks adding to the GOP Senate majority by shutting down the government and having Trump fighting back in ways yhat never would have occurred to Presidents Bush or any establishment Republicans.

GOP Sen Cotton: DACA Deal Must Include Border Wall Funding, Ending Chain Migration and Diversity Lottery

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Sen Tom Cotton (R-AR) said any deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy would have to include funding the border wall, ending chain migration, and ending the diversity lottery.
Partial transcript as follows:
STEPHANOPOULOS: You worked with the president this week on immigration. You heard Senator sanders talk about the Democrats’ demands on DACA and the border wall. They are not going along with the border wall. The president says that’s a bottom line demand of his. Is there a way to solve the problem?
COTTON: I hope so. the president has said all along that while President Obama acted unlawfully giving legal status without a ruling from Congress that he wants to solve this problem with a comprehensive piece of legislation. We have been working on this for four months. In addition to funding the border wall and border security, we have to take steps against unskilled and low skilled immigration coming into the country. Like ending chain migration, ending the diversity lottery. One of the unheralded accomplishments of the first year of the Trump administration that gets overlooked with the growing stock market, for instance, is that wages for people who work with their hands and their feet, the kind of jobs where you have to take a shower after you get off work not before you go to work have increased at the fastest pace yet. There’s a reason for that. It’s not just the growing economy. It’s that this administration is getting unskilled and low skilled immigration under control. We need to continue on those efforts while finding a compromise on those people brought here as young children and young adults through no fault of their own. I hope the Democrats will come off their unreasonable negotiating position and be willing to compromise.
STEPHANOPOULOS: But you saw that response this week. it wasn’t just Senator Sanders on the program right now. Senator Dick Durbin, his reaction to the $18 billion for the border wall. he’s saying it’s a nonstarter, not close to a compromise at this point, are we?
COTTON: Well, as you rightly said, those are Democratic demands. Not as they’re often portrayed as Republicans only make demands, Democrats negotiate. And Senator Durbin’s DREAM Act would cost $26 billion according to the Congressional Budget Office. Senator Durbin should reconsider who is making unreasonable, costly demands. The southern border creates such a huge magnet for illegal immigration and crime and drugs.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Are we going to have a government shutdown at the end of January?
COTTON: I don’t expect to have one. I don’t want to have one. But if the Democrats want to shut down the government because they can’t get amnesty for illegal immigrants, they’ll have to defend that to the American people. They didn’t do that last month. I suspect they didn’t do it because they know that amnesty for illegal immigrants without any real reform is unpopular.

AMERICAN POVERTY and the LA RAZA MEXICAN WELFARE STATE on AMERICA’S BACKS.

"It's also a state full of illegal aliens.  One in seven Illinoisans are immigrants, with 450,000 official illegals.  One point two million jobs are taken by aliens in Illinois.  This is one of the most heavily invaded states in the Union.  Naturally, the Prairie Barrio became a sanctuary state when the Republican governor, Bruce Rauner, signed a bill decreeing it thus."

Land of Lincoln: The third-world casa on the prairie

In a recent blog post here at American Thinker, Thomas Lifson chronicles the tale of Harvey, Illinois, a failing community where government officials havestolen everything not nailed down.  Now, having exhausted all sources of revenue, the municipality is facing insolvency.
Well, why wouldn't the people in charge of Harvey take liberties with the public treasury?  The state legislature just broke the Illinois bank in a recent spending bill, setting the example for these minor potentates.
Apparently, the state legislature imbibed a bit too much eggnog over the holidays, passing over 200 new laws to drive away businesses, steal the residents' money, and yoke as many yokels as possible.
Here are some of the lowlights:
- A law forcing hairstylists, dry cleaners, and other businesses to post standard pricing for males or females.  A man's haircut can no longer be cheaper than a woman's styling, nor can her dresses be more costly to clean.
- H.B. 1785 lets someone change the sex listed on his birth certificate without even having his genitalia mutilated to look like the opposite sex's.
- A new law forces car-dealers to remove stickers from cars before they are driven away – even before a test drive.
- One law opens the door for 16- and 17-year-olds to sign up to be organ- and tissue-donors when they apply for a driver's license or identification card.
- Obama's birthday is now an official state holiday.
- Phone services will have to foot the bill for women who are abused and need to change their phone numbers and whatnot.
- Judges will now be forced to waste time in divorce cases deciding custody of pets.
- A new law protects elephants from abuse in circuses, and any African or Asian elephants from circuses operating in Illinois.
- A guarantee that customers can post on Yelp.
- S.B. 1586 allows DNR to establish rules for the public to scatter ashes in a state park.
- S.B. 1884 provides that research facilities shall make reasonable efforts for adoption of dogs or cats previously used in research.
- S.B. 1761 provides that knowledge of sexual orientation is not a mitigating factor in criminal cases.
- H.B. 2369 forces public schools to provide breastfeeding accommodations for schoolgirls with babies.
Here is a complete list.
Now, here we have graft and corruption on an unprecedented scale in cities like Harvey and Chicago, and the state government does nothing. We have violence on a par with the Middle East and Honduras in Chicago, and the legislature worries about elephants and teenage breastfeeding.  Illinois is broke and may well be the first state that actually goes into bankruptcy, but the legislature is worried about Obama's birthday and restaurant reviews on Yelp and hairstyling prices.
Four out of the last seven governors of Illinois went to prison.  So did the Reverend Jesse Jackson's son, a U.S. congressman from Chicago.
Even the liberal Chicago Tribune calls Illinois one of the most corrupt states in the union.
It's also a state full of illegal aliens.  One in seven Illinoisans are immigrants, with 450,000 official illegals.  One point two million jobs are taken by aliens in Illinois.  This is one of the most heavily invaded states in the Union.  Naturally, the Prairie Barrio became a sanctuary state when the Republican governor, Bruce Rauner, signed a bill decreeing it thus.
With such utter disrespect for the law on the part of the highest officials in the land, why wouldn't some local big wheel develop sticky fingers?  Illinois more closely resembles a Central American banana republic than a state in the U.S.
The infuriating thing about it is that when the chickens come home to roost, the people who looted the state will demand that the U.S. taxpayer bail them out and will refuse to relinquish power.  House speaker for life James Madigan will no doubt remain to loot the bailout money, and the rest of us are going to be forced to subsidize their leftist hypocrisy and lavish lifestyles.  And don't think for a minute that we won't; even if the president refuses, the courts will likely demand it, and the GOP in Congress will fear opposing it.
The only workable answer is to do a serious investigation into the entire Illinois government and start sending people – lots of people – to jail now.
I fear that Illinois is doomed.
