The last time the U.S. housing market looked this bubbly, property values sharply crashed. Over the past couple of years, double-digit appreciation has been the rule. Buyers were being forced to pay more than the asking prices – sometimes $100,000 more. Since March 2020, home prices skyrocketed by 45 percent, reaching levels that are impossible for many to afford. However, in recent months, a major shift has started to take place. Home sales and price cuts are becoming the new norm, leading the scorching-hot real estate market to a well-deserved slow down. The bubble has been popped by rising interest rates, and a housing market crash that can slash home values in half has begun. The nightmarish memories of the last boom and bust remain fresh in the minds of homeowners, lenders, and Realtors. With affordability issues squeezing potential homebuyers, the latest price increases are creating no shortage of concern. A new report by Redfin exposes that some of the hottest corners of the market are already seeing some of the sharpest price cuts and big drops in demand. Since August 2021, mortgage rates have more than doubled, and approximately 20 million prospective buyers have been priced out. According to data compiled by Wolf Richter of WolfStreet.com, price cuts spiked by 50% in June from May, and doubled year-over-year. A Moody’s Analytics report outlined that homes are overvalued in at least 93% of markets across the country, with markets in 11 states overvalued by 50% or more. They are Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, Tennessee, and Washington. Now, all of these markets are at risk of seeing home prices being slashed in half. “Homes are now even more overvalued than they were during the 2000s housing market bubble,” Moody’s Analytics said. At this point, American families are facing record-high prices on about every item they need in their day to day lives. And the supply shortages for housing are forcing many to keep renting despite record rent prices. In fact, there is less housing available for rent or sale now than at any time in the past 30 years.  Current rent prices are about $1,100 higher than they were in 2020. A separate report from Redfin uncovered that nationally listed rents for available apartments rose 15% from a year ago. And the median listed rent for an available apartment rose above $2,000 a month for the first time.It really goes without saying how crazy these numbers really are.  It’s clear that the housing and rent market can’t keep recording one all-time high after the other. We’re moving towards an affordability reset. More and more sellers and landlords are coming to grips with a new reality: Prices have to go where the buyers and renters are, and they’re are around somewhere, but they’re a lot lower, so prices have to readjust accordingly.  The ones who have benefitted from speculative bubbles had powerful incentives to deny that this massive bubble could bust.  But just as all bubbles that arise from speculative excesses, the U.S. housing market bubble reached extreme levels and started to reverse. All these gains are eventually going to be reversed, and if the system is destabilized any further, then the price drops could be far below previous lows. A property value collapse is already underway. And we can only hope this doesn’t end in another global financial disaster. The agency’s own statistics certainly contradict that, showing that the southern border region is as porous and vulnerable as ever. Other entry ports that saw large hikes in Central American illegal immigrants during the first two months of this fiscal year include Del Rio, Texas (269%), El Centro, California (216%) and Rio Grande Valley, Texas (154%). The Border Patrol breaks the stats down by “family unit” and illegal immigrants under the age of 18, referred to as “Unaccompanied Alien Children” or UAC. The Rio Grande Valley port of entry topped the list in both categories with 8,537 family units and 6,465 UACs during the two-month period. In all, the nation’s nine southern border crossings saw an average of 173% increase in family units and a 106% increase in minors during the short period considered.

Some of the illegal immigrants are Mexican nationals, but the overwhelming majority comes from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The government records show that somehow 4,450 family units from El Salvador evaded our topnotch border security and entered the United States in a period of only two months. Guatemala and Honduras had 3,934 and 3,203 respectively. Mexico had 538 family units. Of interesting note is that, during this period, the Border Patrol reports 35,234 apprehensions in the region of foreigners labeled by the government as “Other Than Mexican” or OTM. This is a term used by federal authorities to refer to nationals of countries that represent a terrorist threat to the U.S.

Poll: Joe Biden’s Approval Rating Sinks to Historic Low of 29 Percent

President Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped into the 20s for the first time in his presidency, a Saturday Civiqs poll revealed.

Just 29 percent of voters approve of Biden, while 58 percent disapprove. Only 19 percent of independents approve of Biden. Sixty-seven percent disapprove. Among Hispanics, just 36 percent approve. Forty-eight percent disapprove.

Only 63 percent of Democrats approve of Biden, down from 88 percent since last July. Biden’s approval has dropped five points since June 20. Just 36 percent of Democrats want Biden on the 2024 ticket.

Biden’s approval rating is historically low. According to Gallup, five presidents have sunk into the 20s. Those presidents include Harry Truman (22 percent), Richard Nixon (24 percent), Jimmy Carter (28 percent), George H.W. Bush (29 percent), George W. Bush (25 percent).

Biden’s approval rating has been steadily dropping due to a variety of factors. Biden’s approval rating began to drop in August when he led the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal that left hundreds if not thousands of American citizens stranded behind enemy lines.

Biden’s 40-year-high inflation and record high gas prices have also been a factor in the president’s diminishing approval rating. Polling shows the economy has been the most important issue for voters for 43 straight weeks.

In recent months, Biden has also come under fire for his cognitive state. A majority of voters believe Biden is unfit to be president and doubt his mental ability. Sixty-two percent say he is not fit to be president because he is too old. Fifty-nine percent are worried about his mental and physical fitness.

The Civiqs rolling job approval average had 223,321 responses tracked between January 20 and July 9. The Civiqs tracking model captures the shifts in attitude of various groups over time across all 50 states and Washington, DC. These changes can happen either rapidly or over time.

President Joe Biden’s scandal-ridden son, Hunter Biden, received a front-row seat at the White House Medal of Freedom ceremony held on Thursday.

Hunter Biden, who attended the ceremony with his wife Melissa Cohen, became a de facto greeter for the attendees due to his front-row seat. The president’s son was seen shaking hands and hugging multiple ceremony attendees as they entered the White House’s East Room and took their seats.

President Biden awarded the Medal of Freedom to several of his political allies.

As Breitbart News reported:

He awarded a medal to Sister Simone Campbell, a prominent activist who helped Biden promote Obamacare, Khizr Khan, who helped lead the charge against President Donald Trump in the 2016 election, and a posthumous medal to Richard Trumka, a former union boss who supported Biden.

Biden also awarded a medal to soccer player Megan Rapinoe, a vocal critic of Trump who helped promote Biden during the 2020 election.

Hunter Biden’s attendance at the Medal of Freedom comes as he is under investigation by U.S. Department of Justice authorities for tax fraud, money laundering, and lobbying law violations.

 

President Biden appeared proud of his son’s attendance at the ceremony, telling the crowd, “my son Hunter and daughter in law are here.”

In addition to his pending federal criminal investigation, Hunter Biden attended the ceremony on the same day reports revealed he filmed himself doing drugs, touching himself, and drinking alcohol while at a Massachusetts detox center.

Video from Hunter’s “laptop from hell” shows the “president’s exhibitionist son” bathing in a “trippy green light as he floats naked on his back and plays with himself,” the Daily Mail reported. The video shows Hunter leaving the tub to obtain a hard seltzer and “what appears to be a crack pipe before taking several hits and staring wild-eyed into the camera as ambient music plays softly in the background.”

In addition, another report on Thursday detailed the Biden administration’s sale of nearly one million U.S. oil barrels to a Chinese Communist Party-owned oil company linked to a Hunter Biden equity firm.

Earlier in the week, Biden’s While House refused to address a voicemail uncovered on Hunter’s “laptop from hell” from President Biden to Hunter Biden advising his son about a 2018 New York Times article that covered Hunter Biden’s business dealings with a Chinese oil executive.

“I can not comment on any materials from the laptop,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Tuesday, directing their questions towards Hunter Biden’s representatives instead.

Breitbart News senior contributed Peter Schweizer highlighted Hunter Biden’s relationship with CEFC China Energy Company in his book Red-Handed.

Furthermore, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, accused the Biden administration on Wednesday of restricting the committee’s access to certain documents about Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals to protect the president.

“The Biden Administration is restricting Congress’ access to SARs, and Committee Republicans are investigating whether this change in longstanding policy is motivated by efforts to shield Hunter Biden and potentially President Biden from scrutiny,” Comer wrote in a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

Video has emerged of Hunter Biden in January of 2019 filming himself doing drugs, drinking alcohol, and touching himself while detoxing at Blue Water Wellness in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Video from Hunter’s “laptop from hell” shows the “president’s exhibitionist son” bathing in a “trippy green light as he floats naked on his back and plays with himself,” the Daily Mail reported. The video shows Hunter leaving the tub to obtain a hard seltzer and “what appears to be a crack pipe before taking several hits and staring wild-eyed into the camera as ambient music plays softly in the background.”

Hunter entered the rehab center a month after he asked President Joe Biden for a loan to pay for rehabilitation. Despite making millions from corrupt business schemes, Hunter claimed in December of 2018 that he had no money with which to pay for rehab because of alimony payments.

“Hey dad I’ve been trying to resolve some immediate financial issues – alimony tuitions and my bill for this program but the cash I am counting on will not arrive until the end of the week,” Hunter texted. “Is it possible to make me another short term loan in the same amount and I will send it back no later than 10 days.”

“I’m really embarrassed to ask and I know it’s unfair of me to put you in that position right now,” Hunter continued.

Joe Biden, who has claimed his son Hunter is the smartest person he knows, told Hunter he would fund the detox and any needed alimony payments.

“Hunt tell me what you need. No problem,” Joe Biden responded. “Ok how do you want to do this I can pay tuition directly and their housing and give you the rest.”

“75 being wired today. Love,” Joe Biden confirmed the money transfer on December 6.

Joe Biden’s payment to Hunter comes after Hunter reportedly suggested in December of 2018 that President Joe Biden is politically influenced by “anything that I want.”

“He’ll talk about anything that I want him to, that he believes in,” Hunter said about his father’s political “platform” in a 77-minute recording the Washington Examiner obtained from Hunter’s “laptop from hell.”

“If I say it’s important to me, then he will work a way in which to make it a part of his platform. My dad respects me more than he respects anyone in the world, and I know that to be certain, so it’s not going to be about whether it affects his politics,” audio of Hunter revealed.

In 2020, Joe Biden also publicly praised Hunter on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as very smart. “He is the smartest man I know,” Joe Biden claimed. “We have great confidence in our son. I am not concerned about any accusations made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play,” Joe Biden said.

Hunter Biden is currently under investigation by Joe Biden’s Justice Department for tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws, according to the New York Times. Hunter is reportedly trying to settle the case out of court and has paid $1 million to the IRS to evade conviction or a possibly long sentence.

One topic that Hillary is quick to criticize President Trump on is his relationship with Saudia Arabia. It’s ironic given the Clinton Foundation’s refusal to state that they will no longer accept financial donations from The Kingdom as others have.

 

But the Clinton Foundation, to which donations declined dramatically after Clinton’s 2016 defeat, has taken multi-million dollar contributions from Saudi Arabia in the past and isn’t ruling out continuing to accept them.

The Clinton Foundation accepted between $10 and $25 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with donations coming as late as 2014. A now-defunct group named “Friends of Saudi Arabia,” which was reportedly co-founded by a Saudi Prince and often worked as a PR front for the kingdom, also donated between $1 and $5 million.

Qatar's longstanding efforts to buy influence in the United States have, quite unsurprisingly, included substantial donations to the Clinton Foundation. In 2011, for example, the foundation accepted a $1 million gift from Qatar in honor of former president Bill Clinton's 65th birthday. Hillary was serving as secretary of state at the time, but failed to disclose the massive donation to the State Department despite her pledge to keep the agency apprised of the foundation's foreign donors.

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden  (LAWYER) so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris (LAWYER), already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra (LAWYER) possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

What’s really baffling is Hunter’s success with women. Despite being a total loser with a terrible drug habit and some weird sexual perversions, Hunter managed to seduce his brother’s widow, her sister, a stripper, and the woman he married, all over the course of four years. What It Was Like Being Married to Hunter Biden

REVIEW: "If We Break" by Kathleen Buhle

Hunter Biden was lying from the moment he met his future wife, Kathleen Buhle, in 1992. The less-favored son of Joe Biden, then chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, insisted he came from a normal middle-class background. During her first visit to the sprawling Biden estate in Delaware, Kathleen explained to Hunter that "a kid from a middle-class family does not have a ballroom."

The only member of Buhle's family who saw any red flags was Grandpa Dutch, who served prison time for armed robbery. "What does he want from us?" he wondered after meeting Hunter. His first impression of the Biden estate: "Who's buried here?" Game recognize game, as the saying goes.

If We Break is Buhle's account of how becoming a Biden changed her life—for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till divorce they did part. The book is quite obviously the product of years of therapy, candid self-reflection, and recovery from trauma—one of the many ways it differs from Hunter's crack-centric memoir, Beautiful Things, which opens with a quote from Bukowski and likens the author to an artistic genius in the mold of Hunter S. Thompson and Jim Morrison.

Buhle quickly came to realize being a Biden had its perks. Six months after marrying Hunter, she gave birth to their daughter Naomi and was ushered into a large private room—"a gift from the hospital"—where the doctor asked her to deliver a letter to her father-in-law. If that all sounds a bit legally and ethically dubious, keep in mind that Bill Clinton was president so casual grifting was the vibe. Shortly thereafter, Hunter "met with someone to get career advice" and returned with a lucrative job offer (including signing bonus) from the Delaware-based credit card firm MBNA, as in "the senator from MBNA," aka Joe Biden. An early addition to a résumé composed entirely of peddled influence.

The author's clear-eyed assessment of her privileged status, among other things, makes her more reliable and relatable as a narrator than Hunter, whose own memoir suggests his admission to Yale Law School had nothing to do with his father's prestige and everything to do with the quality of the poem he included with his application. She enjoyed the perks of being a Biden: living in big houses, driving fancy cars, sending the kids to expensive private schools. Hunter's career really took off after Joe became vice president, and Kathleen jetted off to Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America on the taxpayer's dime. She peddled influence in her own right, bringing Joe along as a special guest to help raise money for her friends' nonprofits.

Life was good, until it wasn't.

Hunter comes across as an insufferable prick at the best of times, a spoiled rich kid who "listened to Johnny Cash's working-class ballads but drove a Porsche" and constantly expressed his "disdain for the showiness of new money." As tragic as his story is, he is not a sympathetic character. At the worst of times, he was an absolute monster.

Buhle thoughtfully recounts the hell Hunter put her through when his addiction spiraled out of control, her efforts to keep it all a secret, and her gradual descent into madness while attempting to "solve" his drinking problem—she didn't find out about the crack and the (many, many) prostitutes until much later. Anyone who has loved an addict will relate to her struggle with codependency. The frantic searches for empty bottles, the paranoid stalking, the propensity to forgive. The endless lies.

There are, perhaps inevitably, some major discrepancies between Kathleen's and Hunter's version of events, which is a polite way of saying that Beautiful Things did not undergo an extensive fact-check. It could be that Hunter was not even aware that, according to Kathleen, she wasn't the first to learn about his affair with Hallie, his brother Beau's widow, by finding text messages on his iPad. It was his daughters. Maybe he doesn't remember. Maybe he would rather forget.

The divergence is downright comical at times, a Rashomon saga for degenerate élites. For example, they both agree they had a frank conversation while hiking along the Potomac River on their 22nd anniversary in 2015, and met with a couple's counselor the following day. According to Hunter's version of the counseling session, Kathleen shot down his suggestion that the hike had been "cathartic" and told him, "I'm never going to forgive you." He stormed out of the session and "drained" a bottle of vodka.

Kathleen's version is slightly different. "Hunter, I forgive you," she recalls saying. "Yesterday's hike was a turning point for me. … We never need to discuss your infidelity again." To which Hunter responded, "Thank you. I'm sorry. I have to get back to the office," and walked out. The next morning she found Hunter passed out on the couch and a broken crack pipe in his ashtray. Allegedly. Who's to say which one is telling the truth—the crackhead or the woman scorned?

Joe, meanwhile, is conspicuously absent from this telling. He appears early on, introducing himself to Kathleen by putting "his hands on my cheeks and [looking] me in the eyes, his nose almost touching my own." Classic Joe. He shows up again years later, heroically attempting to stop a woman from playing in a golf fundraiser because she'd never swung a club in her life. "Honey, you can't golf if you've never played before," he told Kathleen. For once, he wasn't wrong. Otherwise, the Biden patriarch looms over the entire story as the source from which Hunter's lifelong immunity from consequence flowed.

Kathleen's former family, which once kicked her out of a photo restricted to "Biden blood only," was presumably happy to let her bear the brunt of Hunter's burden, especially after the death of the other, better son. As president, "Sleepy Joe" seems to have adopted a similar approach to the nation's problems. Whether due to age, incompetence, temperament, or all of the above, his leadership in a time of crisis leaves much to be desired. Kathleen Buhle dropped the "Biden" in 2019 and seems to be doing well. America may yet recover, too.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday she will endorse President Joe Biden if he runs for the White House in 2024.

“I would endorse our sitting president, yes, of course,” Clinton told NBC News reporter Yamiche Alcindor, according to the Hill.

“I mean, this is a silly question,” the longtime Democrat then quipped. “Let’s go with the person most likely to win. Joe Biden beat in a huge landslide victory in the popular vote Donald Trump. I think that says a lot.”

Clinton’s remarks come amid renewed buzz around a potential White House bid by the twice-failed presidential candidate. Media speculation around a possible run has been driven partly by Biden’s age, as he would be 81 years old on Election Day 2024, and his administration’s inability to solve multiple crises facing the country, such as surging inflation and illegal immigration at the southern border.

On Tuesday, Clinton addressed her future plans in an interview with CBS’s Mornings, maintaining that while she missed the “day-to-day of politics,” she could not “imagine” mounting a run in 2024.

“What I can imagine is staying as active and outspoken as I can because I think … our country is really on the precipice,” Clinton stated. “I think that we are looking at not only the erosion of these rights — the throwing the door open to unfettered, unregulated gun access — but we’re also looking at dismantling the federal government, how it protects our air and our water and everything else that goes along with it.”

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) further strutted her woke posturing at the Reagan Presidential Library, where she said the world “is really not going that well” under male leadership.

As part of the “Time for Choosing” speaker series, Liz Cheney briefly honored former President Ronald Reagan before segueing into a diatribe against former Donald Trump, calling him a “dangerous and irrational man.” Cheney also characterized Republican leadership as being loyal to the former president at the expense of the Constitution. Towards the tail-end of her speech, Cheney celebrated that which gives her the most hope for the future: “young women.”

“Young women who seem instinctively to understand the peril of this moment for democracy,” Cheney said. “Young women who know that it will be up to them to save it. And I have been incredibly moved by the young women that I have met and that have come forward to testify in the January 6 committee.”

Cheney then praised January 6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson, whose testimony has since been called into serious question by a number of reliable sources that dispute her accounts of what happened at the White House during the Capitol Hill riot.

“Her superiors, men many years older, a number of them are hiding behind executive privilege, anonymity, and intimidation,” Cheney said of Hutchinson. “But her bravery, and her patriotism yesterday, were awesome to behold.”

“Little girls all across this great nation are seeing what it really means to love this country and what it really means to be a patriot,” Cheney said. “I want to speak to every young girl watching tonight: the power is yours and so is the responsibility.”

“In our great nation, one individual can make all the difference, and each individual must try. There are no bystanders in a constitutional Republic,” she added.

Cheney then used the opportunity to bash male leadership in spite of the fact that her very own father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, helped to orchestrate the Iraq War and the failed nation-building plan that followed the invasion of Afghanistan.

Cheney said, prompting laughter and applause:

Let me also say this to the little girls and the young women who are watching tonight: these days, for the most part, men are running the world and it is really not going that well. So let us all, as we leave here tonight, let us resolve that we will embrace the grace and compassion and the love of country that unites us.

Donilon — chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), BlackRock's personal think tank dedicated to assessing geopolitical investment risk — met with Biden administration officials at least eight times from March 2021 to November 2021, and perhaps on other occasions as well. White House logs show a "Thomas N. Donilon" visited with Biden administration officials at least twice, and a review of that name suggests it is likely the same person as Thomas E. Donilon. 

Donilon has been an important figure in U.S. foreign policy for many years. Most recently, he served under President Barack Obama as his national security advisor. He also worked for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and was reportedly on Biden's short list of nominees to become the next CIA director. 

Obama gave Google great access to the white House and in return Obama gave Google, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter and other big users of the internet a great kickback with net neutrality.

Eric Schmidt has enjoyed virtual open-door access to the White House during the Obama administration, records show, meeting with the US president and top White House officials on at least 18 separate occasions from 2009 to 2015, not counting large meetings and social events like state dinners.

The meetings include four with President Obama, one of which appears to have been a private meeting in the Oval Office.

Schmidt played an important role in President Obama's two election victories, and his visits to the White House coincided with the government's decision-making on a wide range of issues central to Google's business interests. Those included an antitrust investigation by the Federal Trade Commission, the US government's rapprochement with Cuba and potential legislation governing piracy and copyright, which posed grave threats to Google's core advertising business.

At the same time, Schmidt has been appointed to numerous White House advisory positions, giving him privileged insight into the administration's policies in technology, science and military defense, as well as unusual access to top policymakers.

After Biden and Michelle got out of the White House, they got a huge kickback from Netflix despite having no product or experience.  I wonder why Netflix is having financial trouble today!

Most of the media have never given a damn about the Clinton, Obama, or Biden corruption, which is massive.

There is more evidence every day of the connections of Joe with Hunter's kickbacks from China, Russia, and Ukraine, yet the media are virtually silent.  It is no wonder that there are so much corruption and such deep economic problems throughout the country when the media have been complicit in infecting the public with the pandemic of the Biden administration.

We learn new information every day about the sewer of despicable and corrupt behavior of Joe and Hunter, and it's as if almost all of the media have buried their heads in the sand, so the public doesn't see it.  Can anyone imagine the interest if Trump had wired thousands of dollars to Don Jr. or Eric so they could support their Russian hooker habit?

They don't even care about the massive payments to NIH scientists from industries they supposedly monitor.  They still treat Fauci as an infallible expert, no matter how wrong he intentionally or unintentionally has been.

Nope.  The media are beating the dead horse about the armed insurrection where there were no arms.

We have learned massive new information about Trump today.  He wanted to go to the Capitol and the Secret Service prevented him from going.  That appears to be it.

KLEIN KAROO, South Africa — I am writing from a game reserve in the African bush, where we still have electricity in a nationwide blackout, thanks to a private generator.

Twenty years ago, South Africa’s trade unions resisted efforts to privatize the state power company, Eskom, which was then highly efficient and profitable. The ruling party then stacked the company with cronies, and plundered it with corrupt contracts.

Now South Africa has private electricity by default — for those who can afford it.

 

We in the United States can no longer observe such tragicomic events with a sense of detachment.

California and Texas have already suffered blackouts in recent years due to insufficient power supply — thanks in part to “renewable” sources that failed during bad weather — and experts nationwide warn that wider shortages are coming.

California may decide to extend the life of its last nuclear power plant, but the fact that we only have one of them left underscores our failure to plan for the future.

California has also begun water restrictions as the state enters a third year of extreme drought. There has been almost no progress since the last major drought in building new reservoirs, or raising the height of existing ones, to store more water.

And the California Coastal Commission killed a proposal last month to build a desalination plant in Orange County. Opponents disliked the idea that a private company would profit from water — so there will be less water for everyone.

Governor Gavin Newsom and the state legislature have found a Third World solution for inflation: sending people more money. The “inflation relief checks” that will provide up to $1,050 per household are touted as a rebate that will help consumers afford high gas prices and other soaring costs.

Economists note the obvious: that sending people “free” money will only add to inflationary pressures, exacerbating the misery of consumers while pretending to do something about it.

Meanwhile, in Washington, the January 6 Committee is continuing its effort to prevent former President Donald Trump from running for office again. Neither federal nor state prosecutors have found any crimes for which to prosecute him — despite their eagerness to do so — so the committee is trying to make him toxic to voters.

Facts do not matter: Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to an aide, testified about what she heard someone say about what someone said. And that is called “evidence.”

The committee, which is entirely one-sided against Trump, was allowed to interview witnesses behind closed doors, and to release only those portions of their testimony that helped the committee’s case — often contradicting what witnesses said.

Currently, several of the committee’s targets are suing it, pointing out that it is violating its own enabling resolution and violating the Constitution’s separation of powers by performing a law enforcement function rather than a legislative one.

In the interests of fairness and transparency, the committee should not have been allowed to hold public hearings until these legal challenges were fully heard by the courts. But the hearings went ahead, because Democrats are desperate to distract the public from their policy failures before the 2022 midterm elections.

While denouncing the Capitol riot, these same Democrats are saying nothing about protests at the homes of Supreme Court justices — and even an assassination attempt.

This is a Third World state of political collapse. We, the world’s leading constitutional democracy, are abandoning the basic rights and safeguards in our Constitution. We, the world’s most powerful economy, are failing to make basic plans to provide water to sustain life and energy to keep the lights on.

Our political elite and our media indulge ideological fetishes and palace intrigues, and fail to learn from the mistakes other countries have made. And we are running out of time to save ourselves.

‘Skipping Meals, Conserving Water’: Bidenflation Wreaks Havoc on Personal Spending, Poll Shows

Inflation under President Joe Biden is causing more than 80 percent of consumers to cut back on personal spending, according to a Provident Bank poll released Tuesday.

More than 70 percent of American adults have made "some changes to personal travel habits," while more than 10 percent have eliminated "non-essential purchases," the poll found.

"While some consumers have cut back on some non-essential spending, like dining out and unnecessary travel, others reported much more drastic changes such as skipping meals, conserving water, and eliminating meat from their diets," according to Provident Bank. "People are feeling an immense amount of financial pressure right now."

Inflation is at a 40-year high, causing two-thirds of Americans to dip into their savings to pay for daily needs. Some economists, including former Obama administration officials, have attributed the rise in the cost of goods and services to the Biden administration's $2 trillion American Rescue Plan. Biden has called for a federal gas tax holiday to relieve financial pressure on Americans, even though members of his own party, including former president Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), have expressed doubts that the tax suspension would benefit consumers. Obama in 2008 called tax holidays "a gimmick," the Washington Free Beacon reported.

More than half of Americans surveyed said they spend between $101 and $500 per month on groceries, and 32 percent said they are spending hundreds of dollars more on gas. Survey respondents said baby products, meat, utilities, alcohol, household goods, and milk are particularly draining their bank accounts.

Americans spent less than expected in the first quarter of this year, according to Commerce Department data. Overall gross domestic product had a 1.6 percent annualized decline.

Multiple experts have said that the United States is heading for a recession.

A reporter asked a White House official about those soaring energy prices at the pump -- the number one issue occupying likely voters' attention, according to a recent Rasmussen poll -- and got this:

How inspiring. Seems that releasing the Strategic Petroleum Reserves did nothing to bring down high energy prices, and blaming Putin didn't resonate with the public. So now it's the New World Order as the hill we die on. Can you say 'pathetic'?

And the bottom line here is that it's not happening -- there's no end in sight for soaring fuel prices, and there's certainly no greenie economy arising as a result of it -- for this reason right here:

Fossil fuel energy production is not only the driver of greenie energy, it itself is not exempt from inflationary pressures, given that producing fuel requires dollars, and the dollar is where the inflation is coming from. Inflation is "always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon," to quote Milton Friedman, who's the master of the matter. Biden would have you think that inflation derives from oil prices, and Vlad Putin somehow controls those prices based on our refusal to buy his oil (the Chicoms get it now) and Putin has driven oil prices higher just to be mean to us.

It's garbage. Fact is, higher energy prices can be alleviated to some extent by permitting the production of more oil and natural gas as well as buying from Canada, instead of relying on expensive imports from overseas petrotyrants, or by releasing the Strategic Petroleum Reserves, which is the Biden plan for the higher energy prices he's brought us. His call to Americans to endure higher energy prices Because Putin is nothing short of outrageous. What's more, even if he does manage to unhorse Putin, prices at the pump would not go lower. Biden, after all, wants the higher oil prices -- to convert the economy to greenie energy. He can't let go of this bad idea. He can reverse himself on a lot of policies but this one seems set in stone, and made worse by his failure to understand basic economics.

And, no, it’s no exaggeration to call this a crisis. With consumer prices rising at a four-decade-high of 8.6% in the most recent year-over-year comparison, Americans are watching their standard of living fall fast.

A just-released national survey has found that 83% of U.S. households are cutting their personal spending and travel due to soaring inflation. These cutbacks are being driven almost entirely by energy costs, which have spiked nearly 35% in the past year.

The economic disaster Biden has created is ultimately a result of surging federal spending during the pandemic, foolish Fed policies that poured monetary gasoline onto a raging inflation fire, and the ongoing effort by Biden and the Democrats to punish the very companies that provide our energy, threatening them with smothering regulations, painful taxes and even public shaming.

Things have reached a fever pitch of late, with Democrats’ extremist anti-free-market green wing suggesting, as gasoline prices roar past $5 a gallon and cities across the nation face blackouts, we would all be better off if we just nationalized our oil and gas industry.

For the record, no we wouldn’t.

Bingo, bingo, bingo, and bingo. The editorial completely grasps the nature of the Biden disaster on energy and why none of his proposed solutions -- or coordinated spin -- are working.

What we have here is an administration so wedded to its greenie agenda it no longe recognizes even its own quest for political self-preservation. Biden's minions cite grand plans for a New World Order and a greenie energy regimen as most important, while poor old stupid Joe can only chirp 'Putin.'

Voters are going to punish these clowns hard for this extended energy price surge, because it's a textbook failure worse than anything even Jimmy Carter could come up with.

Now they are promising more. They just can't stop themselves.

World more worried, stressed than ever before?

According to a new Gallup poll, the world in general is more worried, stressed, and consequently unhappy than ever before.  This is despite the fact that, at least until very recently, life expectancies have risen to their highest ever levels globally, and many hundreds of millions — perhaps billions — of people have escaped poverty.  I can't confidently speak for people in far-ranging parts of the globe to which I have never traveled, but that clearly seems to be the case in the United States.

Call it "Malaise 2.0," but it's worse than that of which former President Jimmy Carter spoke.  There are more anger, more sadness, more hurt, and less hope.  How did we get here?  There are many reasons, most of which are related.

According to Gallup's latest annual survey of adults in 122 countries and areas, the second year of the pandemic was even tougher on people than the first, pushing Gallup's Negative Experience Index to yet another new high of 33 in 2021.  Professed levels of stress, worry, and sadness all ticked upward in 2021 and set new records.  Worse yet, this rise in negative experiences came in tandem with a decline in positive experiences, leaving experts and policymakers scrambling to understand why the world is on this course.

I would submit that experts and policymakers are in large part responsible for the pain.  That is undoubtedly true in America, where just a few short years ago, we experienced historically low unemployment, historically high stock market values, low inflation, and high rates of consumer confidence...and we were energy independent.

Then came the plandemic.  And Dr. Fauci, lockdowns, social distancing, economic devastation, mask and vaccine mandates...and a staggering number of "excess deaths."

And mail-in voting.

And then came the Biden administration — and with it, policies guaranteed to eviscerate our energy independence and therefore our economy.  And our freedom of speech.  And our Second Amendment rights.  And our military.  And the difference between males and females.  And the ties that have historically bound us together as a people and a nation.  And our confidence.

But it is not just COVID-1984 and the Biden administration that are to blame.  "Progressives'" incessant, decades-long assault on all things Americans have traditionally held dear has had a devastating effect on the country, its institutions, and its citizens.  They have fomented grievances, decried competence and discipline as "ableism," defended crime, and championed sloth.  They have largely stripped the nation of its founding values, its history, its borders, its belief in a manifest destiny, and its manhood.  And they have defined depravity down.

John Adams said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People."  The rest of the founders believed this, too.  And now we have a significant proportion of our population that thinks the wholesale killing of babies in the womb is moral and that those who disagree are monsters.  And that even those who simply want the people in the various states to have the right to determine whether unfettered abortion should be legal where they live must be targeted for harassment.  We have men in women's bathrooms, locker rooms, and prisons.  And on their sports teams.  In fact, many prominent people can no longer say what a woman is.  Afraid to be mocked, canceled, fired, or assaulted, many of us will no longer state obvious truths.

It is little wonder Americans are worrying more, are sadder and more stressed.

There is less gratitude and more entitlement, less connection to the Earth and more connection to antisocial media, less living in reality and more living in "virtual reality."  Less God and more government.

We should be worried.  The question is, what are we going to do about it?

The American public views the Biden economy as in worse shape than any time since February 2009, when the economy was in a deep recession, still staggering from the implosion of the housing bubble, and shocked by the financial crisis that had recently toppled major banks, government-sponsored mortgage companies, Wall Street firms, and insurance companies, a Gallup poll indicates.

Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index, which is a summary of Americans’ ratings of current economic conditions and outlook for the economy, plunged 13 points over the past month to minus 58. The index has a theoretical range from +100 if all respondents describe the economy in positive terms and think it’s improving to -100 if all describe it in negative terms and think it’s worsening.

The June score is the lowest measured since minus 64 in February 2009. The all0time low was negative 72 in October 2008.

A shocking 85 percent in June say the economy is getting worse, up from 77 percent in May and only two points below of the record high hit in June 2008.

The percentage of Americans calling current conditions “poor” has risen eight percentage points in June to 54 percent, the first time a majority of Americans has seen conditions as poor since 2009. An additional 34 percent say current conditions are “only fair,” bringing the total negative assessment to 88 percent. Just 11 percent say conditions are good and less than one percent say conditions are excellent.

Mexico Gives Travel Permits to 3000 Caravan Migrants Headed to U.S.

Mexico’s government issued approximately 3,000 travel permits to members of a migrant caravan that arrived over the weekend in Chiapas. Rather than trying to stop the group, authorities issued permits and allowed them to continue north in a fragmented manner.

The caravan arrived at Mexico’s southern border on Friday and members of Mexico’s National Immigration Institute (INM) began issuing a series of travel permits that give migrants 30 days to travel freely through the country, a prepared statement from INM revealed.

Over the weekend, INM agents issued approximately 3,000 permits in their office in Huixtla, Chiapas. According to INM, the move was done to disrupt the caravan so individual migrants could move freely through Mexico.

The caravan has since disbanded but the migrants with travel permits will continue to make their way north. The U.S. government is seeing record-setting numbers of migrants reaching its southwest border. Cartel-connected human smugglers are actively promoting a notion that U.S. immigration courts are capable of handling swells of new migrant claims.

The move by Mexico’s INM is a direct contrast to prior approaches dating back to the Trump era, where authorities would meet caravans with riot shields and batons. Last year, human rights activists accused INM agents of using excessive force against migrants.

The list goes on and on, and given that gas prices are expected to continue to rise, we’re going to see many more similar cases happening until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, on dividedness, the U.S. ranks No. 1. A Pew Research Center Survey of 20 developed nations found that Americans were the most likely to say their society was split along partisan, racial, and ethnic lines. The U.S. also reported more religious division than almost any other country surveyed. The truth is that our country is rapidly falling apart. Since the 1970s, economic inequality in the U.S. has skyrocketed, leaving many Americans living paycheck to paycheck while the nation’s top earners hoard all the gains from economic growth. It's actually been 11 years since the last federal minimum wage hike, the longest span the baseline wage has gone without an increase since it began in 1938. Since the last federal minimum wage hike — to $7.25 an hour, starting July 24, 2009 — the cost of living has shot up by 20%, while the price of essentials such as housing and health care have increased even faster. The average rent back in 2009 was about $1,132, adjusted for inflation. On top of all that, the U.S. manufacturing sector is facing a historic slowdown right now, which is quite alarming given that about 12% of the nation’s total output comes from manufacturing. And the supply chain disruptions we’ve seen so far are just a hint of the chaos we are going to witness this year. As we enter peak shipping season, shipping information company Frieghtos estimates that by August the price to ship one 40-ft container from China to the US East Coast will shoot up to more than $20,000, almost twice as high as shipping rates were in January, and a 500% increase from 2019 levels. Our living standards are decaying and, at this point, we all can see our quality of life evaporating right before our eyes. This means the retirement outlook for many in the middle class is bleak at best.” Since the onset of the health crisis, the U.S. economy has been decaying at an alarming pace. Over the past two years, the middle class has gotten smaller and smaller in this country, and now it seems that another economic downturn is upon us once again. So many families are already living on the edge right now. Recent surveys have exposed that well over 50% of the population is living paycheck to paycheck and that most Americans don't have emergency savings or a financial cushion to fall back on. When you are living on the edge, there is always a danger that you could fall over. Since 2020, we have never seen so many middle-class Americans falling straight into poverty. In other words, unless dramatic changes happen in America, the middle class is going to be absolutely eviscerated in the next decade. We must wake up now. In the world’s wealthiest country, more and more people are living on the streets. Homelessness is a significant indicator of social decay. There are 750,000 Americans who are homeless on any given night, with one in five of them considered chronically homeless. Around 70% of the homeless are individuals, and families with children make up for the remaining 30%. Living without proper access to housing puts many people in very a vulnerable position, oftentimes, their lives are at risk. An examination of 20 US urban areas found that around 13,000 homeless people are victimized by disease, extreme weather, and substance abuse every year. The number of victims shot up by 77% in the five years ending in 2020. Today, the average life expectancy of a homeless person in America is just 50 years. There will be no future for us if we stay on this highly self-destructive path. The choices that we make individually and collectively as a nation are critical for the health of our society. Throughout all human history, great empires have fallen because societies have consistently made the wrong choices. So if we want to prevent the downfall of America, we must start making better choices. But if we are going to change direction, we better start doing it now because time is running out, and it won’t be too long before it is gone completely.  The United States used to have the largest and strongest middle class in the entire world... but those times are long gone. A new study by Wells Fargo discovered that the middle class is getting more financially squeezed by rampant prices than any other income group in the United States. And it is going to get “worse before it gets better,” according to Moody’s Analytics. Meanwhile, home prices are absolutely exploding. Over the past two years, they went up by a staggering 32.6%. The latest jump in mortgage rates has effectively put homebuyers in the worst position since 2007.

At the same time, most people are barely scraping by from month to month, and the meteoric rise in the price of consumer goods is certainly not helping matters. Consumer Confidence Falls as Bidenflation Kills Economic Hope

Worries about inflation and a potential recession dragged down consumer confidence to the lowest level in 16 months, the Conference Board’s widely followed survey showed Tuesday.

The Conference Board’s index of consumer confidence fell to 98.7 in June, below the 101.0 reading expected by economists. The prior month’s reading was revised down to 103.2 from the initial estimate of 106.4, indicating that consumers were already feeling less optimistic about the economy than thought.

The barometer of consumer expectations—based on consumers’ short-term outlook for income, business, and labor market conditions—plunged in June, falling to 66.4 from 73.7. It is now at its lowest level since 2013.

The gauge of the present situation—based on consumers’ assessment of current business and labor market conditions—slipped to 147.1 from 147.4 last month.

“Consumer confidence fell for a second consecutive month in June,” said Lynn Franco, Senior Director of Economic Indicators at The Conference Board. “While the Present Situation Index was relatively unchanged, the Expectations Index continued its recent downward trajectory—falling to its lowest point in nearly a decade. Consumers’ grimmer outlook was driven by increasing concerns about inflation, in particular rising gas and food prices. Expectations have now fallen well below a reading of 80, suggesting weaker growth in the second half of 2022 as well as growing risk of recession by yearend.”

High prices are forcing people to reassess vacation plans even while purchasing intentions for big ticket items remained steady, according to the survey.

“Purchasing intentions for cars, homes, and major appliances held relatively steady—but intentions have cooled since the start of the year and this trend is likely to continue as the Fed aggressively raises interest rates to tame inflation. Meanwhile, vacation plans softened further as rising prices took their toll. Looking ahead over the next six months, consumer spending and economic growth are likely to continue facing strong headwinds from further inflation and rate hikes,” Franco said.

Other surveys, including the University of Michigan’s survey of consumer sentiment, have found that consumers consider now a terrible time to make big purchases. Fear of prices going even higher, however, may be encouraging some households to make purchases in advance.

What Hillary and her ilk are really worried about is the end of the Democrat Party. If the truth about the Clintons (or the Bidens) ever became public knowledge, their political careers would be over forever.

According to an investigation of White House visitors logs, Thomas E. Donilon — chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), BlackRock's personal think tank dedicated to assessing geopolitical investment risk — met with Biden administration officials at least eight times from March 2021 to November 2021, and perhaps on other occasions as well. White House logs show a "Thomas N. Donilon" visited with Biden administration officials at least twice, and a review of that name suggests it is likely the same person as Thomas E. Donilon. 

Donilon has been an important figure in U.S. foreign policy for many years. Most recently, he served under President Barack Obama as his national security advisor. He also worked for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and was reportedly on Biden's short list of nominees to become the next CIA director. 

Obama gave Google great access to the white House and in return Obama gave Google, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter and other big users of the internet a great kickback with net neutrality.

Eric Schmidt has enjoyed virtual open-door access to the White House during the Obama administration, records show, meeting with the US president and top White House officials on at least 18 separate occasions from 2009 to 2015, not counting large meetings and social events like state dinners.

The meetings include four with President Obama, one of which appears to have been a private meeting in the Oval Office.

Schmidt played an important role in President Obama's two election victories, and his visits to the White House coincided with the government's decision-making on a wide range of issues central to Google's business interests. Those included an antitrust investigation by the Federal Trade Commission, the US government's rapprochement with Cuba and potential legislation governing piracy and copyright, which posed grave threats to Google's core advertising business.

At the same time, Schmidt has been appointed to numerous White House advisory positions, giving him privileged insight into the administration's policies in technology, science and military defense, as well as unusual access to top policymakers.

After Biden and Michelle got out of the White House, they got a huge kickback from Netflix despite having no product or experience.  I wonder why Netflix is having financial trouble today!

Five Reasons to Impeach Joe Biden

American has a two-tiered justice system. If you are liberal and vote Democratic, you can get away with anything. Hillary Clinton is proof of that. If you are conservative, Republican, and a Trump supporter, you can’t even get away with scratching your own behind. But for argument’s sake, let’s suppose we have a single standard for justice. In that case, here are five unassailable reasons that justify impeaching President Biden. This is not meant to be a complete list, but it will do for starters.

1. Biden’s corrupt activities constitute treason.

Evidence exists that during Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president, access to his office was sold by Biden’s son Hunter to China, Russia, Ukraine, and others willing to cough up huge sums of money. American foreign policy was impacted by those transactions. Biden himself bragged openly that he stopped Ukraine from investigating Hunter in return for a billion dollars in U.S. aid.

Where is the evidence of Biden’s corruption? First there is the New York Post article that broke the story. Then there is Peter Schweizer’s well-researched book, Secret Empires, that traces the Biden Crime Family’s complicity with the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Next, we have the incriminating emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop. Let’s not forget the video where Biden brags about extorting favors from Ukraine. And finally, there is the testimony of former Biden business partner, Tony Bobulinski.

Bobulinski’s testimony refuted Joe Biden’s denial that he was aware of Hunter’s slimy business ventures. Joe knew about his son’s dealings, participated in them, profited from them, and lied to the American people about it.

2. Biden’s violation of U.S. immigration law constitutes treason.

Biden has abused his office by violating the laws he has sworn to defend. He has undermined national security by opening the southern border to millions of unvetted, low-skilled, uneducated, third-world economic migrants, many of whom are known terrorists, criminals, and people infected with COVID.

The open border policy “is an inside attack on our democracy,” said former Trump policy adviser Stephen Miller. “The president is working systematically to allow people to invade our country against our laws to consume public benefits, to take American jobs, and to threaten public safety.”

Adding insult to injury, Biden is shipping hordes of illegals to secret destinations without informing the American public. The Pentagon has confirmed that it is using Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas to fly illegal immigrants to undisclosed parts of the country. We don’t know where they are going or what happens to them when they get there.

If millions of aliens are allowed to enter the U.S. illegally, and sanctuary cities and states can openly disregard federal statutes, we no longer have a country. The economic and social costs of Biden’s policy will tear the country apart.

Article III of the U.S. Constitution states: “Treason against the United States shall consist... in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” By supporting sanctuary jurisdictions and refusing to pay for the wall, Biden is giving aid and comfort to aliens who show contempt for our laws and sovereignty and who, by definition, are enemies of the United States.

3. Biden is waging war on the energy sector to deliberately destroy the American economy.

Under Trump, the U.S. became energy independent. Biden reversed Trump’s sensible energy policies, causing the worst inflation in 40 years, runaway gas, food, and heating prices, and looming recession. As far back as the 2020 election, Biden has boasted about his intention to destroy our reliance on fossil fuels.

“Harvesting of fuel was cut back drastically,” said Bill O’Reilly, “and that caused the price of gas at the pump to rise, and that lit inflation, as all other goods went up in price as well because they are trucked to the stores and businesses. That is all on President Biden.” Now millions of Americans can’t afford to put food on the table.

Biden’s decisions are informed by his surrender to the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party. Their plan is to destroy the American economy in order to bring about a Marxist, socialist tyranny controlled by the unaccountable bureaucrats of the Deep State. We cannot tolerate a president who seeks the transformation of America into another Venezuela.

4. Biden is directing the enforcement branches of the federal government against his political enemies.

Biden believes that “domestic political extremism” is “the most urgent terrorism threat” facing the U.S. “The Biden administration declared that the ‘most lethal elements’ of today’s domestic terror threat are political conservatives,” said Tucker Carlson. Biden has compared Americans who disagree with him -- at least half the country -- to racists and terrorists.

Consequently, Biden is empowering the DoJ and FBI to go after Republicans. “The FBI is now an organization solely focused on destroying the domestic enemies of the Democratic Party,” said talk show host Jesse Kelly.

Biden is also enlisting the media in his war against political opponents. “What Joe Biden is telling media companies to do today is to censor their content so it doesn’t contradict his decrees,” said Tucker Carlson. “[Biden is calling for] censorship of political opinions. What you’re seeing here is far more dangerous than the domestic terror threat they’ve been bloviating about. It contravenes the First Amendment.”

5. Biden is violating the equal protection clause.

Biden is presiding over an inquisition against white Americans. He has expressed his support for Critical Race Theory, which argues that the U.S. is inherently racist, that minorities are oppressed by whites and especially white men, and that white people achieve their economic and political objectives at the expense of people of color. CRT is in direct opposition to the aims of the Civil Rights movement and Martin Luther King’s emphasis on judging people based on the quality of their character rather than the color of their skin.

Blaming white supremacy has become the new national sport. Under the guise of ending oppression, Biden and the Democratic Party want to remake whites into the new underclass. Giving special treatment to any one group is in violation of the equal protection clause. It is also the worst kind of racism. Blaming current social problems on alleged white oppression heightens racial tensions and keeps the country divided. Division seems to be Biden’s objective. For that reason alone, he should be impeached.

Under Biden’s DHS, all dissenters are now ‘domestic extremists’

The problem with fundamentally transforming a great, freedom-loving nation into something else is that not everyone is in favor of the idea. Building support for your position with a better argument than your detractors can be a slow, frustrating process.

The faster, more Machiavellian route is to declare your critics to be enemies of the state, deserving of both marginalization from decent society and denial of their basic rights as citizens.

In its goal to make America more amenable to a ubiquitous, Big Brother-like federal government and its corresponding illiberal policies, the current occupants of White House and its tentacle agencies have borrowed the tactics of some of history’s most oppressive despots. The result will be a chilling effect on free speech and the airing of legitimate grievances against our government.

In its recent National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned that “some domestic violent extremists have expressed grievances related to their perception that the U.S. government is unwilling or unable to secure the U.S.-Mexico border and have called for violence to stem the flow of undocumented migrants to the United States.

“We assess,” the bulletin continued, “that there is increased risk of domestic violent extremists using changes in border security-related policies and/or enforcement mechanisms to justify violence against individuals, such as minorities and law enforcement officials involved in the enforcement of border security.”

To the untrained ear, this may sound like a government giving justifiable warning to the public about emerging threats.

In reality, it is the work of overzealous, hyper-partisan ruling class politicians seeking to eliminate reasonable dissent against their agenda. In a time when we routinely hear about “threats to our democracy,” this behavior by our leaders is the real thing.

For all the warnings from our federal government about domestic violent extremists, we have seen scant evidence of them, particularly as it relates to border policies. Who are these violent extremists? If the threat is as real as we are told, the government should have volumes of evidence. Yet all we get is rhetoric backed up with little else.

A peek behind the Great and Powerful Oz’s curtain will reveal the true purpose of this warning. The Biden administration knows that its policies at the border have created a colossal humanitarian crisis that has angered many Americans. This has put Biden and his allies on their heels and in extreme danger of losing political power in the near future.

By linking opponents of the current border policies to “domestic violent extremists,” the White House can now weaponize its federal security agencies to target those critics for harassment and persecution. The tactic has already been used on other occasions, such as when Attorney General Merrick Garland directed the U.S. Attorney’s Office to investigate alleged threats made by parents at school board officials. The purpose was not to catch any domestic extremists, but to intimidate parents into submission.

It is not hard to see how this DHS memo will result in purposeful mission creep and a further erosion of free speech. Much like the Southern Poverty Law Center does with its incredibly reckless and violence-inspiring “hate map,” the government can simply declare any individual or group critical of the administration’s border policies to be guilty of extremism, and henceforth targeted for destruction. This is a serious threat to the First Amendment rights of all Americans.

It is also a perfect scenario for the vaunted legal groups that have traditionally defended our rights against oppressive government policies to enter the fray. Alas, the American Civil Liberties Union and similar groups appear to be uninterested in this threat to Americans’ rights. They have been co-opted by partisan politics and apparently joined forces with the very government from which they were formed to protect us against. 

While it is busy generating agitprop about how our nation is awash in violent domestic extremists, our government appears to have little concern about actual terror threats who are crossing our borders with regularity.     

Among many such incidents, Border Patrol agents apprehended 11 Iranian nationals found illegally entering the U.S. from Mexico in February of last year. Panama reportedly stopped 52 people en route to the United States who are on terrorist watch lists and associated with al-Qaeda.

While these threats were neutralized, we know nothing of the thousands of foreign nationals who successfully entered the U.S. illegally, commonly known as “gotaways.” Why isn’t our government focused like a laser on this very real threat to our nation, instead of targeting U.S. citizens who dare criticize government policy?

Make no mistake, there are threats to the safety and security of our nation. This White House and its appendages need to focus on legitimate threats to the republic, not those that merely threaten their own tenuous grip on power.

New footage has emerged of Hunter Biden smoking drugs, drinking and fondling himself while floating in a sensory deprivation tank in January 2019 

The video, recovered from a backup of his cell phone found on his abandoned laptop, shows the president's son bathed in trippy green light and indulging in drugs and alcohol as he floats in the water

Text messages seen by DailyMail.com confirm the seven-minute clip was recorded at Blue Water Wellness in Newburyport, Mass., where Hunter booked a float therapy session on January 30, 2019

He was urged to visit the spa by a therapist pal, whom the First Son had turned to for help in his battle to kick drugs. 

Just one month earlier, Hunter had texted his dad, Joe, complaining he didn't have enough money for the treatment program on top of bills and alimony. 

'Hey dad I've been trying to resolve some immediate financial issues - alimony tuitions and my bill for this program but the cash I am counting on will not arrive until the end of the week. 

'Is it possible to make me another short term loan in the same amount and I will send it back no later than 10 days.

'I'm really embarrassed to ask and I know it's unfair of me to put you in that position right now,' Hunter wrote on December 4, 2018.

'Hunt tell me what you need. No problem,' the future president responded. 'Ok how do you want to do this I can pay tuition directly and their housing and give you the rest.' 

Biden senior messaged again on December 6 to confirm: '75 being wired today. Love.'

In another exchange weeks later, just before New Year's Eve, Hunter messaged his father convincing him to fund a $20,000 three-month program at a 'sober house' and detox facility in New York City. 

A supportive Joe happily obliged, replying in a January 2, 2019 text to Hunter: 'Just called Mel he will get 20 to your account this afternoon tomorrow morning at latest. He will contact me when transfer goes through.'

Hunter's cell phone videos would later show, however, that he had gone to the wellness center in Massachusetts later that month instead. 

The video and corresponding messages are the latest compromising materials retrieved from backed up iPhone data on Hunter's abandoned MacBook pro – the so-called 'laptop from hell.' 

At his therapist's behest, Hunter also underwent ketamine infusion therapy – a treatment for 'drug resistant depression.' 

Hunter also referenced his ketamine regimen in a December 5, 2018 message to a female friend. 

'That's good baby what does it do,' she replied. 'Let's get freaky tonight on webcam.' 

In another text sent January 1, 2019, Hunter made it abundantly clear who was funding his unconventional treatments, writing: 'By the way my dad is paying for whatever I need.'

The shocking video begins with Hunter floating naked on his back and touching his genitals 

 At times, the First Son, 52, can be seen gazing into his camera during the therapy session 

At one point, he stands up and exits the tank before coming back into frame with his drugs and a White Claw hard seltzer

He then slips back into the water before lighting up and taking several hits from his pipe 

He was urged to visit the spa by his psychiatrist pal, whom the First Son had turned to for help in his battle to kick his drug habit

There is no suggestion the staff at Blue Water Wellness were involved in his drug abuse or that anyone else knew what the father-of-five was getting up to as he lounged naked and alone in the secluded tank.

Hunter's latest humiliation comes weeks after DailyMail.com revealed that, despite his repeated denials, Joe Biden did talk to his son about his shady overseas business dealings.

A voicemail discovered on Hunter's backed up data confirms President Biden called Hunter on December 12, 2018, saying he needed to discuss a New York Times report linking the First Son to Chinese oil giant, CEFC. 

The Times story pointed out that CEFC's chairman, Ye Jianming, had been arrested in China and his top lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted in the US for bribing African officials to help Iran evade oil sanctions. 

Ye had met with Hunter at a Miami hotel in 2017 to discuss 'a partnership to invest in American infrastructure and energy deals.' 

A text exchange from December 28, 2018 shows Hunter had proposed going into a $20,000 treatment facility in New York 

Joe later committed to wiring the $20,000 to his son, texts show, only for Hunter to go to the detox facility in Massachusetts later that month instead

Throughout the video, Hunter silently stares wild-eyed into the camera as ambient music plays softly in the background

After taking a few hits, he grabs a black cherry-flavored White Claw and films himself drinking 

At one point, he gazes into the camera and inches closer toward the recording device and appears to be under the influence 

And when Ho was arrested, he called Joe's brother, Jim Biden, according to the Times, who told the newspaper that he believed the call was meant for Hunter. 

After seeing the story online, Joe called Hunter and left a voicemail, saying: 'Hey pal, it's Dad. It's 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you. 

'I thought the article released online, it's going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you're clear. And anyway if you get a chance give me a call, I love you.' 

The message was the latest piece of evidence presented exclusively by DailyMail.com suggesting that the president lied about not talking foreign business with his son. 

In another example, the then-vice president attended a Washington, DC, dinner with Hunter's Ukrainian, Kazakh and Russian business associates in 2015. 

It was revealed last week that Joe Biden called Hunter in December 2018 saying he wanted to talk to him about a New York Times story on his son's dealings with the Chinese oil giant, CEFC

Hunter told one of his guests in an email that the dinner was 'ostensibly to discuss food security,' but was in fact an opportunity to introduce his potential clients and partners to his powerful father. 

The White House initially denied Joe's attendance, but when photographs emerged of Joe there, it claimed it was only a brief stop. 

He also met another of Hunter's Chinese business partners, Jonathan Li, when he took his son on a 2013 Air Force 2 trip to China,; he also entertained Hunter's Mexican billionaire business partners, Carlos Slim and Miguel Aleman Velasco, at the White House and the vice president's official residence. 

Emails on Hunter's abandoned laptop published by DailyMail.com show Hunter and Joe shared a bank account and paid each other's bills, while Hunter's business partner, Eric Schwerin, did Joe's taxes.
