House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra for information on the agency’s handling of criminals and gang members posing as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in the hopes of being released into the United States.
A deal to expand overall immigration to the United States, negotiated by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), comes as President Joe Biden oversaw a record number of illegal alien “got-aways” at the United States-Mexico border last year.
Schumer and Lankford are negotiating an immigration deal that would expand legal immigration to the U.S. by an additional 50,000 green cards annually, expedite work permits for illegal aliens released into the nation’s interior, and allow up to 35,000 illegal aliens to arrive at the border every week before imposing border controls, among other things.
The deal comes as Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has overseen record levels of illegal immigration in his first three years in office.
Most recently, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) issued a bombshell report that suggested that about 860,000 illegal aliens are known to have successfully crossed the border, undeterred by Border Patrol agents in fiscal year 2023 — a record.
The figure indicates that illegal alien got-aways who entered the U.S. last year outnumber all illegal alien apprehensions at the border in fiscal year 2019.
“These ‘got-aways’ outnumber the combined populations of Kansas City and St. Louis, the two largest cities in Missouri,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) wrote in a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas:
At the very least, you owe the American people full transparency into what your Department knows about illegal immigrants who have entered our nation without being stopped or tracked. [Emphasis added]
It is abundantly clear that the longer you remain in office, the worse the crisis at our southern border becomes. The yearly number of got-aways has increased dramatically under your watch, up from nearly 600,000 in fiscal year 2022 and more than double the 389,515 in fiscal year 2021. All told, nearly 2 million illegal immigrants have successfully evaded border officials during the Biden Administration . Furthermore, though your Department still has not yet released official numbers, border officials report that they encountered more than 300,000 illegal immigrants at the southern border last month—which would be an all-time high. These unprecedented figures underscore the need for you to be fully transparent about your Department’s own accounting of the southern border crisis. [Emphasis added]
Hawley is asking Mayorkas for a full accounting of illegal alien got-aways.
In total, the CBO report claims that Biden’s DHS has welcomed about 6.2 million illegal aliens to the U.S. since late January 2021. This is a foreign population far above annual U.S. births and more than twice the size of Chicago, Illinois.
“How many of those ‘got-aways’ are criminals, drug smugglers, or terrorists? By definition, there’s no way to know — until it’s too late,” Andrew R. Arthur writes for the Center for Immigration Studies.

The city of Boston has begun housing hundreds of illegal border crossers at Logan International Airport, even in the face of Massport’s Interim CEO’s claims that the airport was “not an appropriate place” to house migrants.
In November, Interim CEO Ed Freni insisted that the airport not be used for the purpose.
“We have to emphasize that Logan is not an appropriate place to house people,” he said, according to WBZ-TV .
But even at that point, the state had been shunting illegals into the airport for three months, even before state officials were saying that the state shelter system was reaching its limits.
The migrants have kept coming, despite the claims that they shouldn’t be there.
On Mon., Mass. Dem. Gov. Maura Healey demanded that President Joe Biden loosen the federal purse strings, as more illegals began filling up the corridors around Logan.
Healey added that it is up to Biden to “fix the border.”
“The path is there in terms of what needs to be done to fix the border situation, to fix some of the asylum processes, and to get much-needed funding to some of the interior states who have had to shoulder the burden for a problem that is geopolitical and is not the state’s making,” Gov. Healey told CBS on Jan. 22.
The same thing is occurring in Illinois, where officials from the deep blue city of Chicago have been stashing hundreds of migrants for more than a year.
It has gotten so bad in the Windy City that officials have begun erecting black plastic sheets to hide the migrants from airport users and city residents, allowing travelers only a small aisle of space to walk the hallways from one gate to another.
Social media has been filling up with videos from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
Many have been ringing the alarm bells over the growing problem at O’Hare for months.
As the Associated Press reported on Sept., the city had erected the screens at least as far back as August.
“It was supposed to be a stop-and-go place,” said Vianney Marzullo, one of the few volunteers at O’Hare, told the AP. “It’s very concerning. It is not just a safety matter, but a public health matter.”
Like Gov. Healey, Illinois Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker is demanding the Biden administration cut loose with more federal dollars and more support.
In Oct., Pritzker noted that illegal immigration has become a major problem for Illinois.
In a letter to Biden, Pritzker said illegals are an “enormous strain on our state resources,” even as he stopped short of asking the president to stop the inflow into American communities.

The cause of death for Dana Carvey’s son Dex has been revealed to be an accidental overdose of fentanyl, ketamine, and cocaine.
Carvey’s eldest son, Dex, died in November of last year at the age of 32 that the family described at the time as a “terrible tragedy” while noting that Dex had struggled with addiction.
“Last night we suffered a terrible tragedy. Our beloved son, Dex, died of an accidental drug overdose. He was 32 years old,” the statement said. “Dex packed a lot into those 32 years. He was extremely talented at so many things–music, art, filmmaking, comedy–and pursued all of them passionately.”
“It’s not an exaggeration to say that Dex loved life. And when you were with him, you loved life too. He made everything fun. But most of all, he loved his family, his friends and his girlfriend, Kaylee. Dex was a beautiful person. His handmade birthday cards are a treasure. We will miss him forever,” the statement continued.
The family made a final call for people who struggle with addiction to seek help and lean on loved ones.
“To anyone struggling with addiction or who loves someone struggling with addiction, you are in our hearts and prayers,” it concluded.
On Tuesday, TMZ obtained a report from the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office indicating that Dex died from a toxicity stemming from fentanyl, ketamine and cocaine. Per the Daily Mail
Dex ‘was locked in a bathroom,’ law enforcement told the outlet, and ‘was unresponsive upon discovery; police sources told TMZ that paramedics had attempted to revive Dex, who was subsequently ‘pronounced dead on the scene.’
An autopsy on Dex has been performed, but authorities have not determined his cause of death, as they’re waiting on the results from toxicology tests.
Dexter had a career background in entertainment, as he was a comedian who opened for his father in 2016, during the filming of his Netflix special Straight White Male.
Dana Carvey and his wife, Paula Zwagerman, still share a younger son together, Thomas Carvey, aged 30.

Dem Rep. Gonzalez: Biden Can Use More Power on ‘Emergency’ of ‘Porous’ Border
On Tuesday’s broadcast of NPR’s “Here and Now,” Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) stated that while the border isn’t open, “it’s a porous border” and there is “an emergency on the border” that would allow President Joe Biden to do more through exercising his executive powers.
Gonzalez said, “Well, it’s not a completely open border. That’s — we hear that. That’s more of a Republican talking point. It’s just nonsense. It’s not an open border. But it’s a porous border. And it’s a border that needs to be enforced and a lot more needs to be done along our southern border.”
Gonzalez added that we do need more resources on the border and he’s never seen the border the way it’s been in the last five years.
Gonzalez concluded, “[O]nce we have a proposal — a bipartisan proposal that comes out of the Senate, if the Republicans crash that deal in the House, it’ll be on them, and the problems that are happening on the border, they will have to own. And another thing, I think the President can do a lot more [through] executive order, like having safe zones in other countries to process claims. I think we have an emergency on the border that would allow him to use his executive powers to make that happen. And I think he should do it.”

Mexican military forces flooded into the city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and began patrolling the region in an attempt to diffuse any potential violence. The move comes days after the arrest of a top leader with the Gulf Cartel.
Despite the show of force, the military presence is not expected to have any real impact since the Mexican Army has largely avoided fighting with the Gulf Cartel — leaving most of the fighting to state police forces.
Since the weekend, airplanes carrying hundreds of troops arrived at the Matamoros airport. Government officials told Breitbart Texas the troops would be in the city for 15 to 30 days, carrying out patrols in the border region to ensure public safety.
The mobilization of military troops comes just days after, as Breitbart Texas reporte d, authorities in the neighboring state of Nuevo Leon arrested Juan Alberto “La Kena” Garcia Vilano, a Gulf Cartel leader who controlled the city of Matamoros. The arrest took place in Nuevo Leon where La Kena was visiting a luxury shopping center. La Kena has been singled out as one of the men ultimately responsible for most of the violence taking place in northern Tamaulipas. Due to government connections and widespread corruption in Mexico, he managed to avoid facing consequences.
As Breitbart Texas has reported , military forces and Mexican federal police forces have not played a significant role in fighting drug cartels in Tamaulipas. The brunt of that fight has been shouldered by the state police forces and agents with the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office.
While Matamoros has avoided any large-scale shootouts within the city, as Breitbart Texas reported , in the city of Rio Bravo Gulf, Cartel gunmen have killed innocent bystanders in unprovoked attacks.

Rick confirmed Adam died of a fentanyl overdose in a statement to Fox News.
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick said. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
Adam never made an appearance on Pawn Stars but he did work at the Gold & Silver Pawn before the reality show catapulted to success in 2009.
The fentanyl crisis, much of which comes from the southern border, has swelled to epidemic levels in recent years as the border continues to remain open. Last year, for instance, San Francisco had its deadliest year on record from overdose deaths due to the rise in fentanyl. Per The Guardian
In the first nine months of 2023, the northern California city saw 692 people die of overdoses, more than in the entire year of 2022, according to new data reported by the city’s medical examiner. The city is on track to see more than 800 deaths this year, topping its highest year ever, 2020, when it saw 720.

The deaths in San Francisco come despite a blitzkrieg of policies aimed at stemming the crisis. And experts warn that a new and troubling trend is emerging: more and more victims are found to have consumed both fentanyl and methamphetamine.
In December, Arizona candidate for the U.S. Senate Kari Lake (R) said during an interview with Breitbart News that fentanyl coming up through the southern border is a “weapon of mass destruction.”

44% of Dem Voters Say Biden Has Worked to ‘Systematically Undermine’ U.S. Border Security More than four in ten Democrat voters say Pres. Joe Biden has “worked to systematically undermine America’s border security” – yet, more than half of them say he’s doing either a “good” or “excellent” job of handling immigration, a new Rasmussen survey reveals.
The national survey of U.S. likely voters asked respondents if they agreed or disagreed with the following statement:
"Since his first day in office, President Biden has worked to systematically undermine America’s border security. ... The result is a humanitarian and national security catastrophe"?
Fifty-eight percent (58%) of all U.S. likely voters agree that Biden has created a “humanitarian and national security crisis” by systematically working to undermine the nation’s border security, including 44% who “strongly agree” that he’s done so.
Surprisingly, fully 44% of Democrat voters at least somewhat agree that Biden has created a “humanitarian and national security crisis” by systematically working to undermine the nation’s border security, with 22% “strongly” agreeing.
Nonetheless, 53% of Democrat voters rate “the way President Biden is handling issues related to immigration” as either “good” (33%) or “excellent” (20%). And, 80% say they trust their own party more than the Republican Party to handle immigration.
Among all voters, however, 52% rate Biden’s handling of immigration “poor,” including 79% of Republicans and 63% of unaffiliated voters, while just 30% rate Biden positively. Likewise, 50% of all voters trust the Republican Party more than the Democrat Party (38%) to manage the immigration situation. Another 11% aren’t sure which party they trust more.
Unaffiliated voters favor Republicans by an even wider margin, as more than twice as many (54%) say they trust Republicans as say they trust Democrats (54%-23%). Another 23% of unaffiliated voters aren’t sure which party to trust to handle immigration.

‘Their’ Democracy: Tyranny Comes to the US
Spanning across generations, Americans have done extraordinary things during uncertain times. My father’s genealogy is rich with such memoirs. My great (x6) grandfather was a colonel in the Berkshire Milita during the Revolutionary War. My great (x5) grandmother was part of the runaway scrape when the Alamo fell. During the Civil War, my great, great grandfather fought for the Union in the Ohio Infantry, 81st Regiment . My grandfather’s long service in the Army included WWII, and my father completed over 20 years in the Army. Perhaps the remnants of their DNA combined with growing up on military bases contributed to my deep commitment to our Constitution, our heritage, and the people who sacrificed so much.
Consequently, I am angered that Americans are being conditioned to loathe our shared history and the very people who made our modern country possible. Even our founding documents have been labeled potentially harmful. Make no mistake: these actions are happening because of unscrupulous politicians, bureaucrats, and others who are intentionally destroying our nation’s heritage to obtain greater power, control, and wealth.
In place of the constitutional republic gifted to us by our founders , these charlatans promote “their ” democracy. Even though our founders rejected direct democracy because it leads to tyranny through mob rule, our elites have managed to convince Americans otherwise. As a result, in pursuit of their democracy, our political class has amassed unsustainable national debt and created an enormous welfare state . While declaring unity, our democracy cheerleaders encourage racial animosity . One way is by falsely claiming white supremacy as our country’s greatest threat. To combat their perceived scourge of heritage America, they forced DIE and other race-based initiatives . They supported violent aggression by BLM and ANTIFA while vigorously pursuing and prosecuting Trump-supporters. At the same time, they hid evidence of J6 defendants’ innocence and conspired to persecute their political rivals . They improperly used government agencies to monitor Catholic churches and parental groups . They used federal money to coerce social media to inhibit free speech and abused their government positions to intimidate much of the public into taking an experimental injection. They justified their unconstitutional actions under the banner of promoting their democracy. Furthermore, in defending their democracy, they weaponized government by asserting national security.
Their democracy has also advanced the invasion taking place at our southern border. In F.Y. 2023, an astonishing 2.5 million illegals , that we know about, illegally gained entry to the U.S. Using various means, the Biden administration enabled the assault. One way was refusing to uphold its constitutional duty to protect states from invasion as required by Article IV, section 4 of the U.S. Constitution and U.S. immigration laws . For example, at Eagle Pass, Texas , the Biden administration directed the U.S. Border Patrol to cut razor wire so that illegals could enter. Absent help from the federal government, and because Article 1, section 10 of the Constitution gives states power to protect themselves if invaded, Texas gave its police authority to arrest illegals. In response, the Biden administration sued Texas for doing the job Biden refuses to do.

Once released into the U.S., these children are smuggled back across the border to be repurposed for further trafficking. Despite these known problems, the Biden administration ended a Trump-era pilot program that did DNA testing of children with adults crossing the border illegally. It was reported that approximately 30 percent of these children were not related to the adults accompanying them.

Angel Mom Josephine Dunn ripped into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Thursday, saying he is “partially responsible” for her 26-year-old daughter, Ashley Marie, being poisoned by fentanyl.
During Thursday’s House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Dunn testified to lawmakers about her daughter, Ashley, who died from fentanyl poisoning in May 2021, the day after her son’s fifth birthday.
Mayorkas was invited to testify at the hearing and meet with Dunn as well as Angel Mom Tammy Nobles. On behalf of her 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton, Nobles is suing President Joe Biden’s administration for releasing an illegal alien MS-13 Gang member into the United States, who is charged with murdering and raping Hamilton.

Mayorkas declined to attend the hearing and speak with the Angel Moms, telling Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) in a letter that he would not be in attendance.
“In my humble opinion, Mr. Mayorkas’s border policy is partially responsible for my daughter’s death,” Dunn said:
His wide-open border policy allows massive quantities of poisonous fentanyl into our country. Arizona is the fentanyl superhighway into the United States. I personally feel Mr. Mayorkas is responsible for opening that border to allow more than ten million border crossings since February of 2021, which supports most of the illegal fentanyl into this country. This weapon of mass destruction has killed over 100,000 Americans on our soil for two years in a row. Under Secretary Mayorkas’s leadership, or lack thereof, fentanyl is an invasion. The weapon of mass destruction has caused unimaginable numbers of deaths , unmeasurable damage to our country’s families, including my own. [Emphasis added]

Dunn said Americans deserve to live in a nation “free of fentanyl,” which starts with Mayorkas closing the southern border through fierce enforcement of federal law to prevent drug trafficking as well as illegal immigration.
“My family is broken. My heart is broken, and [Mayorkas] couldn’t even be here to listen to me today,” Dunn said. “Whatever he is doing that is more important than facing me today, I don’t know what that could be. Our country deserves a secure border. Our country deserves to feel safe.”
“We need to close the fentanyl superhighway. We need to close the border,” Dunn said.
Dunn revealed that she was testifying on behalf of her daughter on what would have been her 29th birthday, slamming Mayorkas for not having the decency to face her.
“Today is my daughter’s 29th birthday. I would have rather been home with my poor husband grieving her today,” Dunn said. “I didn’t need to be here today. So whatever he’s doing, I hope it’s more important than that.”
In Biden’s first two years in office, more than 200,000 Americans died from drug overdoses and poisonings — the overwhelming majority of which involved fentanyl. Put another way, drugs and fentanyl have killed 70 times as many Americans in 2021 and 2022 than those who died in the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks.

Dem Rep. Correa: Despite Fentanyl, Border, Mayorkas Is Doing ‘Good’ Because We Haven’t Had Terrorist Attack 1:50
On Thursday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” House Homeland Security Committee member Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) stated that while there are problems on the border and with fentanyl, “Alejandro Mayorkas is not the reason” and is “doing a good job” because we haven’t had any terrorist attacks on U.S. soil and we’ve “essentially minimized” cyberattacks on the U.S.
Correa said, “Well, think about what’s going on around the world right now. We have two wars. We have fentanyl [on] our doorstep everywhere on Main Street across the country. We have challenges of fentanyl, sad, tragic deaths, parents mourning. And then, of course, we have a worldwide refugee challenge. So, naturally, we want to find out why this is happening. But Alejandro Mayorkas is not the reason. Alejandro’s doing his job. If you think about those two world wars going on in the Middle East and in Europe…what you’re not talking about is the fact that we haven’t had a terrorist attack, thank God, on our soil, the fact that we’ve essentially minimized any attack — cyberattacks on our society. So, Mayorkas is doing a good job. But we still have a lot more to do in this country. And, in my opinion, instead of spending our time going through these hearings to impeach the guy, he hasn’t committed any crimes. Let’s focus on working together. Senate Republicans, Senate Democrats, the president, we’re all working together. I ask my Republicans in Congress, work with us come up with solutions.”
He added that there are worldwide migrant issues and Border Patrol needs more resources.
