OVER 100 ILLEGALS FOUND DYING IN TRACTOR-TRAILER HEADED FOR TEXAS AND TRUMP'S AMNESTY

Over 100 Migrants Found Dying of Asphyxiation in Tractor-Trailer Headed for Texas

CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas — The discovery of over 100 migrants headed to Texas took place at a military checkpoint just 30 minutes north of Ciudad Victoria, the capital of Tamaulipas. According to information released by Mexico’s National Immigration Institute (INM), the discovery became a rescue operation once authorities realized the health conditions of the migrants.

According to immigration officials, the migrants showed signs of acute dehydration and asphyxia leading authorities to rush medical personnel to the scene to provide needed care. The ones that showed the worst signs were 39 underage teens and children, of those, 10 were unaccompanied.
The migrants have been identified as all being from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. Authorities arrested Mexican nationals Ruben “N” and Orbelin “N” who have been singled out as the drivers and human smugglers.
The suspects claimed to have left the southern state of Chiapas and to have been headed to the U.S-Mexico border. The migrants were taken to Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office in Ciudad Victoria so INM could contact their respective consulates and carry out their deportations. The suspects were taken to the same building, but are facing federal charges.

77 Illegal Aliens, Including Children, Found in Sweltering ‘UPS Truck’

Federal authorities detained two illegal aliens and one U.S. citizen on Monday after a California Highway Patrol officer pulled over a suspicious brown delivery truck and found it to be stuffed with 77 profusely sweating illegal aliens, including five children.

The brown truck, which had the appearance of a UPS truck, had no tags and was weaving down Old Highway 80 in San Diego when the officer noticed it and performed a traffic stop. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was passing by stopped to offer assistance to the officer.
The agent noticed the truck was riding very low. He noticed fresh paint on the truck and could smell a mix of body odor and a commonly used Mexican soap, according to the report, which cited court documents filed in San Diego federal court on Tuesday.
The driver, U.S. citizen Shawn Lee Seiler, allegedly told authorities that he was the truck’s owner and consented to a search of the vehicle. Upon opening the back doors of the truck, the agent discovered 77 illegal aliens, sweating profusely. San Diego has been experiencing warm winter weather in recent days —  more than ten degrees above average, according tolocal NBC 7.
Seiler reportedly admitted that he is a human smuggler. The complaint stated that he told investigators that he originally expected to be trafficking 50 illegal aliens and that he would be paid $100 dollars a head, which would mean a $5,000 payout. Instead, 77 were stuffed into the vehicle.
Seiler was arrested for transporting illegal aliens for financial gain. Two of the 77 illegal aliens were detained and will be charged, as they had prior deportations, one on January 9 through San Ysidro and the other on May 14, 2015 at El Paso according to the Union-Tribune. The remaining 75 foreign nationals were detained as material witnesses in the case.
In a similar case, Border Patrol agents in South Texas caught a human smuggler trying to sneak 22 illegal aliens in a tractor-trailer through the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint on December 31, according to reporting by Breitbart Texas.
Last October, a truck driver pleaded guilty to “Transporting Undocumented Aliens Resulting in Death” after transporting around 200 illegal aliens in his tractor-trailer in Texas. Ten of those, locked for hours in the trailer, died in the severe Texas heat.

HOWARD DEAN'S BIG MOUTH AGAIN. CLAIMS GOP "RACIST" SINCE 1960...... EXCUSE ME!?!? - AND THE LA RAZA "The Race" WHICH OPERATED OUT OF THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE IS NOT RACIST!!!

Dean: Racism Has Been a Part of the GOP Platform Since the 1960s

Saturday, former DNC Chair Howard Dean accused the GOP of having been the platform for racism ever since the 1960s, adding it continues to be so now by supporting President Trump’s “racist agenda.”
“The Republicans have basically sucked it up and supported Donald Trump’s agenda, which is a racist agenda. And for years, ever since the southern strategy in 1968, racism has been a part of the Republican platform that gets them votes — not the majority, but it gets them votes,” Dean said on MSNBC’s “AM Joy.”
“The Republicans have no spine, whatsoever,” he continued. “They don’t dare stand up and when they do stand up, what happens is what happened to Flake and Corker, which is they get run out of their own party by Donald Trump.”

ICE Arrests 86 'Criminal Aliens' in North Texas and Oklahoma

ICE Arrests 86 'Criminal Aliens' in North Texas and Oklahoma
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) announced Friday afternoon that they arrested 86 criminal aliens and other illegal immigrants during a three-day enforcement action operation earlier this week.
Federal officers targeted “criminal aliens” in North Texas and Oklahoma, but also arrested other immigration violators, such as those who came into the country legally and overstayed their permission or immigrants who committed criminal acts that would make them eligible for deportation. The press release states that “of the 86 arrested, 55 had criminal convictions; 82 were men and four were women. They range in age from 19 to 61 years old." Those arrested hailed from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Jordan, Laos, Liberia, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, and Zimbabwe. Criminal aliens differ from illegal aliens in that they have been convicted of another crime in the United States in addition to living in the country without authorization.
“Most of the aliens targeted by ERO deportation officers during this operation had prior criminal histories that included convictions for the following crimes: sexually exploiting a minor, assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drug possession, burglary, obstructing police, larceny, manufacturing methamphetamine, firearms offense, smuggling, receiving stolen property, illegally entering the U.S., and driving under the influence (DUI),” the press release continues.
“This operation focused on targeting immigration fugitives and criminal aliens in North Texas and the state of Oklahoma, but we routinely conduct operations daily,” said Bret Bradford, field office director of ERO Dallas told the press. “By removing criminal aliens from the streets, our ICE officers provide a valuable community service by improving public safety.”
A week ago, ICE announced the arrest of 46 criminal aliens and other immigration violators in upstate New York.
“Operations like this one demonstrate ICE’s continued focus on the arrest of dangerous criminal aliens as well as those who enter the United States illegally,” said Thomas Feeley, field office director for ERO Buffalo, said at the time. “Illegal aliens will not find safe harbor in New York.”
This increased movement by ICE under President Donald Trump is in stark contrast to the previous administration. According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, a  "Congressional Research Service report released in August 2012 found that over a 33-month period, between October 2008 and July 2011, more than 159,000 illegal aliens were arrested by local authorities and identified by the federal government as deportable but nevertheless released back onto the streets."
According to last week's press release,  "ICE continues to focus its enforcement resources on individuals who pose a threat to national security, public safety and border security. ICE conducts targeted immigration enforcement in compliance with federal law and agency policy. However, as ICE Deputy Director Thomas Homan has made clear, ICE does not exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement. All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and, if found removable by final order, removal from the United States."

Enough Fentanyl to Kill Millions Found En Route to U.S. South of Border

A traffic stop led Mexican authorities to seize enough fentanyl to kill millions of people as well as almost 1,000 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and other drugs that were headed to the California border.

This week, Mexico’s National Security Commission announced the seizure of 45.5 kilograms of fentanyl that were found as part of a synthetic drug shipment in the Mexican beach resort town of Ensenada, Baja California. The seizure also included more than 914 pounds of crystal meth, 87 pounds of cocaine and 18 pounds of heroin.
Unlike the other synthetic drugs, fentanyl is a medically used opioid that is considered to be 100 times more powerful than morphine and prone to lethal overdoses.
According to the Oxford Treatment Center, the lethal dose for an individual taking fentanyl is 2 milligrams.
The 45.5 kilograms of fentanyl seized is enough to fuel millions of possible lethal doses.
The seizure was made by federal police forces who spotted an SUV without license plates that had been traveling along the highway that connects Ensenada with the town of Lazaro Cardenas. The beach resort of Ensenada is directly south of the border city of Tijuana and its various ports of entry into California.
After pulling over the vehicle, authorities searched the SUV and discovered 10 bundles, three suitcases, 18 bricks and 18 plastic containers with the various drugs inside.  As part of the investigation, Mexican authorities were able to confirm that the SUV is registered in California.

Mexico drug cartels stealing billions of dollars in oil from Pemex

Reuters has an astonishing report about Mexican drug cartels tapping into oil pipelines owned by the state oil company Pemex in order to steal enormous amounts of fuel from the Mexican oil industry.
Apparently, oil has become a target of the cartels because it is cheap to steal and the risk of being caught is negligible. The cartels employ several methods to steal the oil, including bribing and threatening Pemex employees and directly tapping the pipelines that bring gasoline and other fuels to the people.
The practice has skyrocketed over the last few years, scaring off foreign investors and severely cutting into the profits of one of Mexico's largest industries.
Fuel theft is not new or unique to Mexico. But cartels are taking it to calamitous new dimensions and, in the process, bolstering their bottom line.
“Fuel theft just makes these groups more powerful,” according to one senior official from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, who asked not to be identified.
By targeting refineries, already suffering from a lack of investment, Mexico’s most notorious criminals gain access to nerve centers for much of the country’s fuel supply. That threatens an oil industry that accounts for about 8 percent of Mexico’s economy and creates yet more uncertainty for a country already reeling from U.S. threats to dismantle the North American Free Trade Agreement.
“It hurts the national coffers, weakens national security and hinders the reform and development of Mexico’s energy market,” said Gustavo Mohar, a former Mexican energy and intelligence official.
Between 2011 and 2016, the number of unauthorized taps discovered on Mexico’s fuel lines nearly quintupled, according to a recent report by the federal auditor. Repair costs surged almost tenfold, to 1.77 billion pesos ($95 million).
A May 2017 study, commissioned by the national energy regulator and obtained by Reuters via a freedom of information request, found that thieves, between 2009 and 2016, had tapped pipelines roughly every 1.4 kms (0.86 mi) along Pemex’s approximately 14,000 km pipeline network.
After decades of poor upkeep, the refineries are bleeding money as well as fuel. In addition to unscheduled outages, which cause big operational losses, maintenance problems have led to fatal accidents, including fires and explosions.
Together, the refineries have accumulated annual operating losses of about $5 billion in recent years. Production of refined products, meanwhile, fell to just over 700,000 barrels per day in 2017. That’s about half the production levels at the refineries’ peak in 1994.
It's estimated that annual losses in revenue to the Mexican government as a result of the thefts amounts to more than a billion dollars.
The drop in production over the last couple of decades is due to Mexico's antiquated and inefficient oil infrastructure. Energy reforms in 2014 was supposed to encourage foreign investment in the oil industry, changing long standing policy that prevented it. But there have been few takers because of Mexico's downward spiral into failed state status as a result of violence by the cartels.
Efforts by Mexico’s state-owned oil company Pemex to attract about $5 billion in capital to help modernize its two largest refineries so far have proved futile, according to two people familiar with the process who declined to be named because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
The company is seeking a joint venture partner for its Salina Cruz refinery on the West Coast. It’s also looking for an investor to complete construction of a coking unit to process heavy crude at its Tula refinery just north of Mexico’s capital.
Among those to rebuff overtures from Pemex over the past year are U.S. refining giants Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) and Tesoro Corp TSO.N, the people said.
Valero and Tesoro declined to comment. Those and other companies were deterred by operational, political and market concerns, the people said.
Pemex officials said they “categorically reject” the notion that they are struggling to find investors.
“There has been interest,” a company spokesman said Thursday. “We’ve had talks with many companies whose names we can’t reveal.”
Pemex has said publicly it’s seeking investment from Korean, Japanese and Chinese firms. The company hired Bank of America last year to seek potential partners.
The world's oil companies are showing little confidence in Mexico's ability to deal with the cartels. They have good reasons. Why pour money into projects that have been compromised by criminals? Pemex is bleeding red ink and the irony is, they won't start making money again until foreign investors can be enticed to become involved, but foreign investors refuse as long as so much of the oil is being siphoned away by the cartels.
Mexico has had some success in bringing down drug king pins. But that success has resulted in an even bigger problem; the fracturing of drug cartels into many smaller entities, only compounding the misery of the country. The violence and political corruption flowing from the drug trade is rapidly making Mexico into a failed state. The consequences of that for the US is obvious; a growing number of Mexican citizens looking north for salvation.

GRAPHIC — Mexican Cartel Cuts Out Living Victim’s Heart near Acapulco

A group of cartel gunmen fighting for control of a Mexican coastal state cut out the heart of one of their living victims while another was beheaded. The violence took place not far from the beach resort cities of Acapulco and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero.

The execution was recorded by cartel gunmen who then disseminated the footage through social media. Mexican intelligence sources revealed to Breitbart Texas that the murders took place at a ranch near the boundary between Michoacan and Guerrero states. The location of the murders is not far from the famed resort city of Acapulco. Law enforcement sources also revealed that the ranch once belonged to former Los Zetas ally and founder of La Familia Michoacana, Carlos Rosales Mendoza.
During the execution, a leading figure within Los Viagras Cartel threatened and tortured two villagers whose hands were tied behind their backs.
The victims were killed for allegedly relaying information to their rivals. One of the gunmen used a large stick to beat one of the villagers.
Another gunman then comes up from behind and uses a sharp knife to slash the man’s throat and then sever his head.
While the second victim screams for mercy, the gunmen use knives to slice open his chest to the point where they can see the man’s beating heart. One of the gunmen reached inside the victim’s chest cavity and manually removed the vital organ.
Soon after the executions, the gunmen issued a series of threats toward rivals claiming they would meet a similar fate.
The Mexican states of Guerrero and Michoacan are theaters for a fierce territorial war between the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) and their rivals with Los Viagras, La Nueva Familia Michoacana, and some factions of the Sinaloa Cartel.

One Year of Trump: Border Wall Prototypes Sit in Desert As Border-Crossings Surge to Obama Levels

A year ago, President Trump committed to the American people to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration and the flow of drugs into the country.

A year later, Trump is still promising to build the border wall, as prototypes of what the wall could look like sit in the San Diego, California, desert and border-crossings surge back to President Obama-era illegal immigration levels.
Since September 2017, eight border wall prototypes have sat in San Diego, being tested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and toured countlessly by government officials.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen toured the border wall prototypes in December 2017, telling Fox News that the wall was paramount to ending illegal immigration.
“We got to have a wall, we’re going to have a wall. But then you need the technology, you need the people, you need the censors, you need the cameras, you need the monitoring, to make sure that that wall is as effective as it can be,” Nielsen said.
A month later, Nielsen and the Trump administration have continued to struggle to secure the full $18 billion funding for the border wall from a Republican-controlled Congress that remains dedicated to the big business lobby’s interests on immigration, constantly demanding more legal immigration and continued access to illegal alien workers.
While the prototypes continue collecting dust in the San Diego region, border-crossings under Trump have surged back to where they were under Obama, a pattern that proves pro-American immigration reformers’ assertion that talk of cracking down on illegal immigration will only deter illegal immigrants from breaching the southern border for so long.
Between April 2017—when border-crossings hit a historic low—and December 2017, family unit border-crossings have surged 625 percent, Breitbart Texas reported, with the last month of 2017 even exceeding the number of border-crossings under Obama.
In the month of December alone, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended almost 30,000 illegal aliens trying to cross into the country between ports of entry, where Trump’s border wall would be sitting if it were constructed today.
As Breitbart News reported, for the last two months of 2017, the Republican establishment, Nielsen, and Democrats have floated the idea of giving amnesty to nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
The mere talk of the DACA amnesty has coincided with surges in border-crossings, with Nielsen admitting last month that human smugglers on the southern border and future illegal aliens pay close attention to the national immigration debate in the U.S. to decide when will be the best time to cross into the country illegally.
Nearing the end of the first month of 2017, the Republican-controlled Congress has yet to hand over full funding for the border wall, and more importantly, have shifted focus to getting DACA illegal aliens a pathway to U.S. citizenship.

Border City near Texas Considered Mexico’s Most Dangerous, Finds Survey

REYNOSA, Tamaulipas — The citizens of this border city consider it as one of the most dangerous in Mexico.

The perceived lack of security conditions was measured through a study of urban public safety by Mexico’s National Institute for Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
The city where citizens felt least safe is in Reynosa, according to 95.6 percent of local respondents.
Since 2010, this border city has been immersed in waves of violence where rival cartel groups fight for control. The violence began when the Gulf Cartel split off from its former enforcers, Los Zetas, thus setting off a series of gun battles for control of the streets. The skirmishes continue in waves where in addition to the fight with Los Zetas, the CDG went through a series of internal fractures that spread even more bloodshed. As a consequence of the high cost of being constantly at war, residents have also been victimized by a spike in extortions, carjackings, kidnappings, and home and business robberies.
As Breitbart Texas reports, the perception of insecurity comes at a time when Mexico had its bloodiest year in decades. According to the 2017 statistics, Mexico suffered 29,168 tallied murders, surpassing all prior records.
Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. Family Unit Border Crossings Up 625 Percent from April 2017 Low

The number of families apprehended by Border Patrol agents grew by 625 percent from a low point in April 2017. The figure fell sharply during the first four months of the Trump Administration but has risen steadily thereafter.

In April 2017, Border Patrol agents apprehended 1,119 Family Unit Aliens (FMUA), Breitbart Texas reported. The number of FMUA apprehensions rose nearly every month since the his low point to 8,121 in December, according to the Southwest Border Migration report released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Tuesday. This number represents an increase from April of more than 7,000 FMUAs (625 percent). CBP defines FMUA as the “number of individuals (either a child under 18 years old, parent or legal guardian) apprehended with a family member by the U.S. Border Patrol.”
CBP officials released the shocking numbers on the same day President Donald Trump met with Congressional leaders to discuss amnesty for illegal alien minors brought to the U.S. by their families under the same circumstances as the FMUAs currently entering the country. The meeting addressed Congressional plans to replace President Barrack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Shortly after the meeting, a judge in the Ninth Circuit ordered the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to largely reinstate DACA.
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded the DACA program in September, Breitbart News reported. He said there would be an “orderly and lawful wind-down.” His announcement followed a threat from Texas and nine other states to add the DACA program to an already successful lawsuit that effectively ended President Obama’s Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) program.
“For these same reasons that DAPA and Expanded DACA’s unilateral Executive Branch conferral of eligibility for lawful presence and work authorization was unlawful, the original June 15, 2012 DACA memorandum is also unlawful,” the letter from the states explained. “
Following the DACA rescission by Sessions, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the states would drop their threatened lawsuit, Breitbart Texas reported.
DACA is seen by many as a magnet that draws FMUAs and Unaccompanied Alien Children to risk their lives to come to the U.S. illegally. These groups pay large sums of money to cartel-connected human smugglers to bring them to the U.S. in hopes they will be included in a DACA replacement amnesty program.
FMUAs and UACs represented nearly 40 percent of all illegal aliens apprehended by Border Patrol agents during Fiscal Year 2017. Agents apprehended a total of 117,057 FMUAs and UACs during the FY2017 which ended in September. Between the beginning of the new fiscal year on October 1 and December 30, agents apprehended 31,209 additional families and unaccompanied minors.
The UACs are reported to be coming from Guatemala (5,697), Mexico (2,433), Honduras (1,740), and El Salvador (993). Guatemala also leads the list of countries sending FMUAs to the U.S. with 10,650 during the first three months of FY2018. This is followed by Honduras (5,545), El Salvador (3,136), and Mexico (481).

Kris Kobach: Border Surge of Potentially 1M Illegal Aliens ‘Guaranteed’ Following DACA Amnesty

A surge of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border that could reach up to one million border-crossings is “guaranteed” following a possible amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens, says Kansas Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach.

In an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday, hosted by Breitbart News Political Editor Matt Boyle and Deputy Political Editor Amanda House, Kobach warned President Trump against negotiating a deal wherein illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are given amnesty, saying such a plan would trigger a massive border surge.
KOBACH: And there will be a surge, it is guarenteed. If there is a DACA amnesty, there will be a massive surge of hundreds of thousands, if not more than a million, new illegal aliens.
HOUSE: Right, we saw that in the ’80’s and the ’90’s, as well, following the 1986 amnesty.
KOBACH: That’s exactly right. And as some Breitbart readers may know, if they’ve seen my piece this week, I put some statistics in there. Yeah, that ’86 amnesty, it ended up being for 2.7 million people which was a larger number than was expected by Congress and by President Reagan’s administration when it happened. And the reason its a larger number is its estimated that about 700,000 people came in or applied for the amnesty who were not eligible for it. And so… what happens when you grant amnesty is immediately people flood across the border because they want to falsely claim that they were already here and get the new amnesty or they want to at least get here and wait for the next amnesty.
An amnesty for DACA illegal aliens has the potential to trigger a border surge that could triple the current level of border-crossings, which under President Trump, have ticked back up to Obama-era levels due to border wall construction being stalled in the prototype stage for months.
As the Migration Policy Institute has chronicled, previous border surges from amnesty programs have brought hundreds of thousands across the U.S.-Mexico border:
While the flow of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) has been climbing steadily since 2012, a dramatic surge has taken place in the last six months, with the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas as the principal place of entry. The Border Patrol there has converted entire stations to house unaccompanied minors and families.
According to the Border Patrol, apprehensions of unaccompanied children increased from 16,067 in fiscal year (FY) 2011 to 24,481 in FY 2012 and 38,833 in FY 2013. During the first eight months of FY 2014, 47,017 such children were apprehended by the Border Patrol. If the influx continues apace—and it shows no signs of slowing—the administration predicts that by the end of the fiscal year on September 30, totals could reach 90,000.
Ninety-eight percent of unaccompanied minors currently arriving at the border are from Honduras (28 percent), Mexico (25 percent), Guatemala (24 percent), and El Salvador (21 percent). This breakdown represents a significant shift: prior to 2012, more than 75 percent of UACs were from Mexico.
In recent days, Trump has said that negotiations for a DACA amnesty — that would include cutting legal immigration levels to benefit America’s workers and immediately constructing the border wall — are “probably dead” due to Democrats’ unwillingness to cut legal immigration and bar employers from hiring illegal aliens over U.S. citizens.

WASHINGTON SECRETS

Criminal illegals, tax cheats, sanctuary cities OK'd in Gang of Six immigration deal

by Paul bEdard |  From left, President Donald Trump, accompanied by Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Whip Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas., and Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., speaks during a meeting on immigration in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Washington. (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik)

A plan to reform immigration and grant amnesty to nearly 700,000 young adults that is being shopped by six senators would waive some criminal convictions, let 300 “sanctuary cities” off the hook and starve Immigration and Customs Enforcement of funds to track down and deport criminal illegals, according to a new analysis of the proposal.
“This proposal is not a serious effort to find common ground with either the majority of congressional Republicans or the president,” according to immigration expert Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies.
“It pays only lip service to what is required to achieve the immigration policy improvements that Americans seek, and that they elected Donald Trump to accomplish,” she added in a new analysis released Friday.
She obtained the details of the plan and found several areas that clash with the basic wishes of the White House and promises made by Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.
“Judging by details obtained by the Center, the aim is actually maximum amnesty, minimum border security and no cuts to legal immigration, and not a good faith effort to reach a deal with either the House of Representatives or the president,” wrote Vaughan.
You can see her full analysis here, but below are some of her key points:
  • Dreamer amnesty would allow waivers for certain criminal convictions that exist under current law, if deemed to be "in the public interest."
  • Applicants for the program would have to pay up on any federal tax liability, if they had a DACA work permit, but not if they worked illegally prior to legalization.
  • The proposal claims to restrict chain migration, by eliminating the category for adult sons and daughters of green card holders, which admits about 26,000 people a year. However, it transfers those numbers to another chain migration category for spouses of green card holders and their children. So there is no net decrease in chain migration at all under this proposal.
  • There is no funding for ICE or interior enforcement, no expansion of E-Verify, nor any provisions to address the broken asylum system, sanctuary cities, the continued influx of illegal families and minors from Central America, visa overstays, an entry-exit system, the backlogged immigration court, illegal employment, or any of the other needs compiled at the president's request prepared by career immigration agency officials.

It's time to sort the good from the bad in the 800,000-person DACA bloc

A study shows that DACA-aged illegals are more likely to commit additional crimes and be jailed than citizens.  With all the news about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program being subject to a deal, this latest bit of news points to a need to start separating good from bad DACA recipients in any amnesty deal for them.
According to the Washington Examiner:
A new report about crimes committed by illegals finds that younger undocumented immigrants [sic; should be "illegal aliens" –ed.] who were eligible for former President Obama's DACA amnesty program commit far more crimes than other immigrants or U.S. citizens.
In unearthing rare data that details the crimes and sentences of illegals in Arizona, the Crime Prevention Research Center reported that immigrants age 15-35, the general population of the 700,000 in Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, "commit crime at twice the rate of young U.S. citizens."
The crimes cited in the study are authentic thug-type crimes, such as murder, rape, robbery, and kidnapping, not the white-collar variety such as Social Security identification theft, which is an even greater subset of violators.
Two caveats should be noted from the report: the study covers only Arizona state, and its conclusions are a nationwide projection from those results.  Also, the study itself covers only DACA-aged youths, not actual verified DACA recipients.
That said, the research was done by the respected John Lott, whose work is known for its rigor.  Meanwhile, any youth of the right age who hasn't applied for DACA would be a fool not to, given its 99% approval rate on applications.  There is reason to think there is merit in Lott's claims.
This points to a problem we see again and again in DACA recipients: for every valedictorian proudly featured in the press among the program's 800,000-strong number, we have far higher numbers of illiterates, underachievers, unassimilated non-English-speakersdropouts, and repeat criminals.
The negotiations in the Congress on a DACA deal with President Trump continuously use the 800,000-strong recipient base as an undifferentiated bloc.  Yet we know there was no differentiation in the approval process, and the valedictorians went into the same bin as the underachievers and the underclass-assimilators.  Most Americans would be fine with allowing the valedictorians and the 900 servicemembers among the 800,000-person bloc as part of a deal, as these people would probably make successful Americans.  Where they draw the line is with gang members, habitual criminals, underachievers, and terrorist sympathizers.
Why anyone would refrain from splitting up the DACA bloc into categories that go well beyond an applicant's age is a mystery to me.  Breaking up the bloc will make a deal for the more deserving of the applicants that much easier if a deal ever comes to pass.

Mexican Border Press Silent on Murdered Journalist After Receiving Cartel Threats

NUEVO LAREDO, Tamaulipas — Media outlets are being kept from covering the murder of a respected journalist killed over the weekend. The order to prohibit reporting and protests about the matter came from the criminal organization controlling this city.

Over the weekend unidentified assassins killed 77-year-old Carlos Dominguez Rodriguez, a respected journalist in Nuevo Laredo. Just days before his murder, the journalist wrote a column about the violence that had overtaken Mexico. Tamaulipas officials revealed the victim was killed with bladed weapons.
A witness who was traveling behind the slain journalist revealed that when the victim’s car reached Venezuela Street, two vehicles boxed him in. The unidentified assassins forced the reporter’s relatives out the vehicle and then attacked Dominguez Rodriguez.
Mexico’s Human Rights Commission issued a request to the Tamaulipas government for protection for the slain reporter’s family.
Despite a series of interviews by Breitbart Texas with various sources, the core motive remains unclear. Some journalists described Dominguez Rodriguez as well-respected and claimed that no one knew about him receiving any threats.
One day after the murder, print outlets and online news sites in Nuevo Laredo remained mum. Information obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed that the silence was due to a threat that cartel members made through a man known as the “link” or “enlace” who acts as a contact for local news outlets.
The order by the cartel to “not make noise” about the case quickly ended the plans to hold a protest and circulate a petition to state and federal officials. Journalists in other cities, by contrast, have managed speak out in protest without suppression and threats of violence.
News outlets in Nuevo Laredo are silenced by the Cartel Del Noreste, a faction of Los Zetas which is led by the relatives of Miguel Angel “Z40” Treviño Morales.
As Breitbart Texas reported, Dominguez Rodriguez’s murder is the second of its kind in 2018 and follows a deadly 2017 where more than a dozen journalists were killed. The escalating number of murdered journalists led to the International Press Institute labeling Mexico as the deadliest place for reporters

Tijuana Cartel Violence Sets

New Murder Record for 2017

As cartel violence rages in the Mexican border city of Tijuana, the final murder toll peaked at 1,734 for 2017–smashing the previous year’s record of 910. The final number represents a 90% increase, making 2017 the bloodiest year to date.

The murder rate continues to climb as rival drug cartels battle over control of key trafficking routes and street-level distribution, according to local media reports. The escalation can be attributed to the hostilities between the Sinaloa Cartel and their one-time ally, Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).
Breitbart Texas recently reported that according to State Attorney General Perla del Socorro Ibarra Leyva, no more than 12 percent of the first 1,500 homicide investigations of 2017 led to indictments.
Another contributing factor cited by Marco Antonio Sotomayor Amezca, Chief of Police for Tijuana, is the New Criminal Justice System (NSJP) which was implemented nationally in June 2016. Chief Sotomayor said the NSJP has been an obstacle for authorities since most people arrested, even for those possessing weapons or drugs, are released within 48 hours. Many of these individuals are criminally involved or contributing to cartel violence.
In late November, it was reported that due to the escalation of violence, the local morgue faced a crisis. During a press conference with Governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, he explained the Servicio Médico Forense (SEMEFO) lacked space due to the constant flow of murder victims. Local media outlets reported that SEMEFO could not absorb the daily influx while outdated equipment caused bodies to decompose. The Governor reported that new equipment was being purchased and plans were being made to expand operations. Lamadrid noted that one contributing factor was unclaimed bodies, requiring burials in common graves.
The new year continues the wave of violence, with at least 11 murdered in the first two days of 2018, including five executed in a tire shop on January 2, according to media reports.

EXCLUSIVE: Authorities Find

Cartel Human Incineration

Camp in Mexican Border

State

CIUDAD MANTE, Tamaulipas — Authorities in this Mexican state bordering Texas have found a cartel killing field where it is believed that gunmen murdered and incinerated their victims. The killing field was recently discovered in the city of Mante in the southwestern part of the state. Breitbart Texas sources believe the cartel responsible is Los Zetas. The cartel is broken into two warring factions: Old School Zetas (Vieja Escuela) and Cartel of the North (CDN or Cartel Del Noreste). Our sources believe it is more likely that Old School Zetas is the faction of Los Zetas responsible, due to the group’s recent movements in the area.
While Tamaulipas state authorities have remained officially silent on the case, confidential law enforcement sources confirmed the discovery to Breitbart Texas. The killing field was discovered after an anonymous caller warned authorities about the existence of a place where human bodies were being incinerated.
Law enforcement officials moved to the area and confirmed the discovery, prompting a large deployment by military forces and investigators with the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office. At the killing field, authorities found two 55-gallon drums as well as another container full of what authorities believe to be human ashes. Authorities also discovered various containers of diesel.
Information obtained by Breitbart Texas points to the cartel killing field being near a primitive road that leads to the tourist center known as El Nacimiento, a local attraction in Ciudad Mante.
Intelligence sources confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the killing field is just a short distance from the area where in 2017 a team of Los Zetas cartel gunmen hijacked a bus that was traveling from the city of San Luis Potosi. As Breitbart Texas reported at the time, from the bus, the gunmen took six passengers who were identified as men between 17 and 25-years old; their fate remains unknown.
The area of the cartel killing field is also close to the ranch where Tamaulipas state authorities killed 7 cartel gunmen from Los Zetas Vieja Escuela during a gun battle last month. The city of Mante, as well as others nearby, have been outed as regions with an abundance of clandestine cemeteries where cartels kidnap and execute their victims.
The complaints about the existence of cartel killing fields in the region date back to 2010, however to date, authorities have only confirmed three killing fields. One of the fields is in the town of Xicotencatl, another in the town of Gomez Farias and the most recent one in Ciudad Mante.
Currently, in Ciudad Mante, there are reports of close to 50 missing persons since the start of a spike in violence in the region. The executions and kidnappings in the area are tied to a fight for territorial control between the Zetas Vieja Escuela and their rivals Cartel Del Noreste (CDN).

Trump has put Schumer in a no-win situation on DACA

How do Democrats explain to themselves the way they keep getting outsmarted by a man they claim is a moron?  President Trump has Democrats exactly where he wants them on the issue of DACA. Even PBS gets it:
With a new deadline fast approaching, Democrats in Congress are struggling to adopt a unified strategy to protect hundreds of thousands of young immigrants from deportation.
Their inaction has enraged liberal activists across the country, who have shifted their anger in recent days from Republicans who control Congress to Democrats seeking to balance their commitment to a progressive priority with their desire to avoid an explosive government shutdown heading into the 2018 midterm elections.
The “young immigrants” in question re the so-called “Dreamers,” that group of illegal immigrants purportedly brought to this country by their parents, one quarter of whom are functionally illiterate and half of whom have not bothered to learn English.  The Democrats correctly see them as future voters, and hope that chain migration triples or quadruples the 800,000 into millions of new Democrats if they are allowed to gain permanent residence and citizenship.
MS 13 members in an American prison (source)
The problem is that the general public is far from convinced that legalizing a group of border violators likely to become tax consumers, not tax payers, is the most pressing problem facing the nation, worthy of shutting down the government if Democrats don’t get their way. President Trump already called their bluff when they threatened the continuing resolution over DACA last month and the Dems caved and averted a Christmas season government shutdown. Their problem is that a substantial part of their base is angry over that concession to public opinion:
Liberal groups largely blame Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York for not uniting Democrats behind a hardline strategy, as he did during recent debates on taxes and health care.
“This is on Schumer. His most important job is to keep his caucus together,” said Angel Padilla, policy director for the Trump resistance group called Indivisible.
More than a dozen Hispanic House members — all Democrats — forced a meeting late last month with Schumer on this issue.
Rep. Darren Soto, D-Fla., said Schumer assured Hispanic lawmakers that Democrats “will lay it all on the line” to protect Dreamers.
Yet it remains unclear whether Schumer will push his party to risk a government shutdown.
President Trump engineered this dilemma for Schumer by rescinding Obama’s executive order creating the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program, but giving Congress until March 2018 to come up with an alternative approach. That trap is now closing in on Schumer. He has 10 Democrat senators up for re-election in November in states that voted for Trump. Will Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, John Tester of Montana, and Claire McCaskill of Missouri be willing to tell their voters that they think amnesty for a group that includes MS 13 members is so important that the government ought to be shut down? Or, if President Trump and the GOP offer some form of amnesty that does not include chain migration (thereby rewarding the parents that illegally brought their children here) but does include border wall funding, are they willing to vote against it?
The Senate Democrats have been able to enforce a remarkable degree of party solidarity, far more discipline than the GOP. That is a huge bargaining asset for Schumer, already empowered by his party’s pickup in Alabama. But DACA looks like it could be a wedge issue destroying that disciplinary power.
This is a no-win situation. Harvard graduate Schumer should be asking himself how he got himself into this situation. But of course, he won’t. Either he alienates his base, or he risks adding to the GOP Senate majority by shutting down the government and having Trump fighting back in ways yhat never would have occurred to Presidents Bush or any establishment Republicans.

Asylum Seekers Overwhelm San Diego Border from Eritrea, Cameroon and Mexico

Migrants from countries like Eritrea, Cameroon, and Mexico have flooded the U.S. southern border in San Diego to such an extent in recent days that U.S. border officials have been unable to process them without long lines forming on the Tijuana side of the border.

Nearly 100 migrants lined up in a plaza on the Mexico side of the border that leads to the San Ysidro pedestrian border crossing in San Diego last week because of the backlog, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. Mexican officials told those who tried to sleep in the plaza that they had to leave. Eritrean migrants cited in the article claimed that last Monday 25 migrants were temporarily jailed for waiting in the plaza.
One of the Eritrean migrants told the Tribune that he felt racism, “big discrimination,” and no respect in Mexico.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials are working to process the foreign nationals that arrive at the border and are working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to one who spoke with the Tribune. It takes time to process each individual and move them from holding cells to detention.
As the report details, migrants who claim fear of returning to their country are transferred to other immigration officials for consideration of potential asylum cases. An excess of these cases can back up the space available to process more individuals.
In just the month of October 2017 CBP Border Patrol San Diego border sector reportedapprehension of individuals from Bangladesh (12), Brazil (1), Camaroon (3), Chad (1), China (16), El Salvador (76), Eritrea (7), Gambia (4), Guatemala (178), Honduras (54), India (101), Iran (1), Mexico (1,877), Nepal (31), Nicaragua (1), Pakistan (13), Peru (1), Somalia (1), and “Unknown” (1) — a total of 2,379 individuals. These numbers are similar to volumes seen in this sector for October since 2012.
Many migrants gave up at San Isidro, according to the Tribune, and moved on to try other ports of entry in Mexicali or Texas.

Shocking data on immigrant crime

According to data compiled by the Center for Immigration Studies, one of the most horrific categories of crime, kidnapping, is vastly disproportionately committed by immigrants, legal and illegal. Daniel Greenfield of Front Page Magazine reports:
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 42.4 percent of federal kidnapping convictions are of non-citizens. Non-citizens also account for 31.5 percent of federal drug convictions. Even though they’re only 8.4% of the population. Obviously there aren’t enough Americans to commit these crimes.
President Trump was excoriated by self-righteous progressives for pointing out this disproportion, when he said of criminal alien gangs, “They kidnap, they extort, they rape and they rob.”
Much of the kidnapping spree is related to activities of MS-13, an ultra-violent gang from El Salvador, whose members were prevented from being deported by the TPS (Temporary Protected Status) program that President Trump just ended, to further cries of alarm and racism from the progs. They want us to look elsewhere. The New York Times:
With his protected status, Carlos Jiron, another Salvadoran, started a small contracting business and won bids for big jobs, including to paint federal buildings in the Washington area.
“We have built a life here,” said Mr. Jiron, 41, who lives with his wife and two American-born children in a four-bedroom house they bought in Springfield, Va.
He will have to decide whether to take his children to El Salvador, where he says they would not maximize their potential and would face safety threats; leave them with guardians in the United States; or remain in the country at the risk of arrest and deportation as one of the millions of undocumented immigrants.
No mention in the New York Times story just quoted of:
Over in New York, five MS-13 members and associates were caught trying to kidnap and randomly murder a16-year-old.  Prestige in the El Salvador gang comes from murder. Bodies of MS-13 initiation murders keep popping up in public parks near prominent locales. In Texas, two MS-13 gang members kidnapped three teenage girls, raped them and killed a 15-year-old girl in a “Satanic ritual”.
Maybe it’s a good thing that there are some crimes that Americans won’t commit. And we should keep it that way. Ending Temporary Protected Status for El Salvador keeps Americans safer. (snip)
Video of the murder was sent to MS-13 leaders to win a higher status for the killers. Last year, the media had portrayed her as a victim.
This is just collateral damage on the way to importing a voting majority for the Democrats. And besides, it adds another minority victim with which to characterize America as violent and unjust. A twofer, if you will. If MS-13 were kidnapping people off the streets of the Upper West Side, the New York Times might care more about the issue.

Tijuana Suffers Five Cartel Murders Per Day, Say Mexican Authorities

Following a record-breaking 2017 in which 1,734 murders were registered in the border city of Tijuana, 2018 has continued the alarming pace with at least 132 homicides in the first 23 days of January.

Of the 132 registered homicides, only five resulted in arrests with a total of 11 suspects detained, according to the state attorney general’s office.
In one case, three suspects who were arrested but later released after discarding two suitcases containing human body parts. They were not detained for murder but instead charged with exhuming corpses and were released pending a future court date. The move sparked outrage and eventually resulted in two of the suspects being detained. The third suspect is currently subject to an arrest warrant.
An average of five murders is being recorded daily since late October 2017. During a recent stretch in less than 48 hours, a total of 14 homicides were counted in to include the execution of a taxi driver in front of the Macro Plaza–a popular tourist destination frequented by U.S. citizens. The taxi driver was executed by two gunmen but left his passengers unharmed. This past Monday, the state attorney general’s office reported nine executions for the day, including an incident in which two people were killed and six wounded.
This ongoing violence in Tijuana has been a result of a turf war between rival drug cartels as they fight for key trafficking routes and street-level distribution, according to local media reports. The escalation can mainly be attributed to the hostilities between the Sinaloa Cártel and their one-time ally, Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) who have aligned themselves with the Cártel Tijuana Nueva Generación (CTNG), according to Breitbart law enforcement sources.
On Tuesday, authorities reported the discovery of a narco-banner left hanging from an overpass on a well-traveled road. The notice contained threats directed at “El Güero Chompas” and Alberto García Meza alias “El Wicho” signed by the Cártel Tijuana Nueva Generación (CTNG), local reports indicate. “El Güero Chompas” is José Luis Mendoza Uriarte of the Sinaloa Cartel and leader of the cell known as “Los Chompas” or “Los Uriarte”. This cell is related to Raydel López Uriarte, who was arrested in 2010. “El Wicho” also belongs to the Sinaloa Cártel. The banner adds that “for every 1 or 2 you kill of ours, we will kill 4 or 6 of yours.” The message is signed by the Cártel Tijuana Nueva Generación (CTNG).
